Abstract

The article presents a study on the role of persistently normal aminotransferase levels (PNAL) in patients with liver fibrosis co-infected with HIV/Hepatitis C virus (HCV). The study involve 326 liver biopsies of HIV/HCV-coinfected patients. The authors claim liver fibrosis that require treatment is found in 25 percent of HIV/HCV-coinfected subjects.
