To examine the influence of academic library services on media literacy among library and information science undergraduates at federal university Oye-Ekiti, the study used a descriptive survey of the case study type. For data collection, a structured questionnaire was employed. Purposive and total sampling techniques were used to distribute the questionnaires to 156 respondents, who were LIS undergraduate students ranging in level from 100 to 400. The simple percentage method of analysis was used to analyse the data that had been obtained. The study's findings showed that Federal University Oye-Ekiti LIS undergraduate students are aware of media literacy. The study also showed that Federal University Oye-Ekiti undergraduate LIS students had access to library and information sources through selective information distribution, inter-library loan services, internet services, and supply of information resources. Additionally, the study's findings identified certain obstacles to the development of media literacy in LIS undergraduates, such as poor internet connectivity, a lack of rigorous media literacy assessments, a lack of awareness, and insufficient resources. The study comes to the conclusion that media literacy will benefit LIS undergraduates greatly and provide lifelong learning skills if it is applied properly. To ascertain the degree to which Internet users are aware of and utilize Internet resources and services, a survey was performed in Union Territories, the results of which are reported in this study. The study looks at how Internet users utilize search engines to find information. Data collection methods included a survey and follow-up interviews with postgraduate students, faculties, and librarians. The chosen sample of 12 Colleges received a total of 300 questionnaires; 271 valid samples were obtained. The information was examined based on the demographics of Internet users, how they search for information online, how they utilize online tools and services, how reliable the information is online, how difficult it is to use the Internet, and how much Internet literacy is necessary. More time was spent online by the academic staff than by the pupils. Although Internet search engines were the most popular means for finding information, other approaches were also employed, including databases, gateways, and the World Wide Web (WWW). As significant Internet services, respondents cited search engines, email, and the World Wide Web. About 60% of respondents thought that the Internet was a helpful tool for education and research because of the high quality of the information available there. Some of the variables affecting Internet usage were listed as slow speed, lack of training, and information overload. The study correlated the digital literacy skills of librarians in academic libraries in Taraba State, Nigeria and their services delivery. The correlational design was adopted in studying 112 librarians drawn from 11 academic libraries in Taraba State. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for data collection. 112 copies of the questionnaire were administered but 109 were retrieved. Data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The single null hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance using the linear regression. Consequently, the strength of relationship between variables was decided using the Creswell correlational ranking and results presented in frequency tables. Findings of the study shows that digital literacy skills possessed by the librarians was low as they were only skilful in using the Internet to search and communicate information, conduct website evaluation and use Boolean logic, among other skills. However, numerous services were provided. Furthermore, result showed a correlational value of 0.17 and hypothesis yielded a p-value of 0.08. This shows that there is a positive very low and insignificant relationship between digital literacy of librarians and services delivery in academic libraries in Taraba State, Nigeria. Based on the result of insignificant relationship between the digital literacy skills of librarians and services delivery, the study recommends that library authorities should intensify efforts in creating the understanding of digital literacy skills, their essence and application to enable the librarians to acquire more of the skills as well as apply them in the discharge of their duties, among other things. Librarians and other information professionals are required to possess transprofessional competencies in the form of additional education or knowledge to increase the range of services that could be provided for improved efficiency of information service delivery in the new normal. This study investigates the transprofessional competencies of librarians and their perceptions of what barriers prevent librarians from developing transprofessional knowledge in this changing and knowledge-driven environment. The study is a qualitative research, and the phenomenography method was adopted for this study; The participants constitute librarians and information managers in four academic libraries in Lagos and Oyo states, Nigeria. A semi-structured interview was used and the interview was conducted synchronously between the researcher and the participants. The qualitative data from the interview was transcribed and analysed using thematic analysis. The study found that librarians emphasised the need for competencies such as adapting to remote work, providing guidance on information literacy and digital skills, implementing and maintaining digital platforms. Challenges encountered by librarians include time and resource constraints, inaccessibility to learning opportunities, overcoming disciplinary silos, resistance to change, lack of institutional support and recognition among others. The study concluded that collaboration with professionals from other disciplines is a proactive measure to enhance transprofessional competencies. Information and communication technology (ICT) deployment has been prompted by the desire to increase effective services and have a favorable impact on organizational development. The development in the creation of e-readiness frameworks in many organizations, including libraries, is as a result of this demand. While the e-readiness study is widely used in libraries developed nations, it has not yet expanded into many libraries in underdeveloped nations. This study's objective is to close this knowledge gap by outlining a model for e-readiness in Nigeria, with a focus on university libraries. The study has an e-readiness framework with eight (8) variables that is guided by the Network Readiness Framework, the Digital Media Readiness, the Digital Opportunity index, and the e-Readiness Ranking. The suggested model will use the eight variables, internet literacy, human resources, ICT policy, affordability, access, education, and usage, as measures and measurements. This study examined the relationship between digital literacy and electronic information resources use among undergraduate students of Gombe State University in Nigeria. The study sought to find level of digital literacy, level of electronic information resources use and determine the relationship between digital literacy and electronic information resources use among undergraduate students in Gombe State University. The study adopted a quantitative using survey design. The study found that the level of digital literacy is high. The also result revealed low extent of EIRs use and the study finally found that there is no significant relationship between digital literacy and electronic information resource use among undergraduate students in Gombe State University. The main goal of this study is to ascertain the level of knowledge that university library staff members who work in the RSU and IAUE libraries possess in regards to digital technology. This investigation was predicated on a set of research questions as well as two hypotheses that were provided in order to explain the data that was collected. The researchers used a correlational survey design and a census sample technique to assemble their findings. This was necessary due to the fact that the population of the study consisted of 32 librarians working at RSU and IAUE. Using Cronbach's alpha, which suggested a value of 0.75 for the ability to measure digital literacy and a value of 0.82 for the ability to assess work performance, we were able to establish that the questionnaire was reliable. In order to put the hypotheses to the test at a significance level of 0.05, the product-moment correlation coefficient that was created by Pearson was utilized. The researchers recommend that the library staff at state university libraries in Rivers State should continue to leverage the usage of computers in order to be able to navigate around toolbars, use computer applications, and locate information that is pertinent to their work. In this era of new media technologies where access to and distribution of information have become very easy, it has been noticed that this development has brought about increase in the spread of malicious and harmful information product which tend to pose a threat to the society. This study therefore took a look at the perceived roles of librarians in fight this cankerworm called information misuse in an era of new technologies. The study which was guided by six research questions employed a descriptive survey design with a sampled population of 420 librarians purposively selected among librarians in Nigeria. The principle instrument used for data collection is the questionnaire structured according to a modified Likert scale on four point rating scale. while the data collected were analyzed using frequency and simple percentile and presented in tables. The outcome of the study shows that information misuse do come in the forms of misinformation, malign-information, disinformation, hoaxes, propaganda, and fake news etc and mostly created by politicians and other individuals for different selfish purposes at the detriment of the wider society. The study further discovered that various new media are used to promote information misuse whose effects include among others; erosion of trust among the people, manipulation of public opinions, weakening democratic established institutions and polarization of the society, In this case, it was established that libraries and librarians can help curb this societal menace by engaging on enlightenment campaigns, leading digital literacy, teaching fact-checking techniques and collaboration with other professional bodies. It was based on the findings that it was recommended among other things that libraries and librarians should occupy the drivers' seats as information mediators and directors with a view to winning public confidence through the provision and dissemination of accurate and reliable information and that Libraries' management should as a matter of necessity train every staff on cyber and data security as a general corporate policy. Across the world, educators in primary, secondary, tertiary and professional education contexts have been developing strategies and policies for designing learning opportunities that will enable learners to take advantage of the information literacy available to them. Learning opportunities that enhance information literacy not only make use of information and communication infrastructures, but to bring the information practices, that are effective in professional, civic and personal life into curriculum. Such opportunities make it possible for learners of all ages to experience the power of effective information literacy practices. When reflection on learning to be information literate is added to the experience of information literacy, students are helped to recognize the transferability of the processes involved to everyday life, community and workplace context in later life. Thus, the information literacy education carried out by universities is mainly done by libraries. At present, major universities mainly carry out information literacy education for school learners in two ways. The first is to open a separate information literacy course by the library, which mainly teaches the use of various search tools, reference books and related databases of the library. This type of course is a non-professional general education course. The second is to conduct user lectures and training on how to use library resources to help learners master the basic methods and techniques needed for information retrieval. Common forms include freshmen entrance education and various series of lectures, both of which are traditional information literacy education models. This paper focuses on digital archiving and the establishment of open Access digital repositories in three selected Nigerian Universities. Despite the abundance of vital information kept in the traditional archives of Nigerian universities, many researchers cannot easily access it due to the seeming absence of proper digitization and online visibility. It is also observed that the practice of archiving and the management of information in the repositories in Nigerian universities is limited to the central library, which makes access to information in the satellite archives across the departments and in the administrative units very difficult. This paper therefore, intends to; determine the nature, existence and the roles of digital repositories in the three selected Nigerian universities and to identify the types of information sources and resources available in their digital repositories, among others. Qualitative research methodology was adopted. Data was purposefully obtained from the websites of the three Selected Nigerian universities. The findings of this study indicate that the Digital Repositories existed in the three selected universities studied with different names, and were found to contain volumes of scholarly information sources and resources, which were organized in a systematic and chronological order, but it is not well structured to specifically link resources in the departments, faculties and other units of the universities with the central repositories. It was also found that Digital Repositories were not always accessible, possibly due to inadequate ICT infrastructure and necessary staff skills for their effective maintenance. It was concluded that the repositories existed for over a decade and were providing information services to its users. It was recommended that, the management of the universities studied should imbibe strong maintenance culture to effectively manage the Digital Repositories for sufficient access to scholarly information sources and resources and should consider the installations and deployment of necessary ICT infrastructure, as well as the right software configurations including the provision of regular staff training for proper digitisation and digitalisation of work processes and procedures in the repositories for efficient results and the promotion of Digital Data Literacy in Africa. This study investigated the digital literacy skills of Library and Information Science undergraduates in South-West, Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design, and questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents. Sample size of one hundred and ninety-nine (199) was determined using Taro Yamane's (1973) formula and multi stage sampling technique was used for the selection of 199 respondents from 518 population of the study. Out of 199 copies of the questionnaire administered, 184 copies were retrieved and fit for data analysis resulting in a 93% response rate. Analysis was done using descriptive statistics. The result revealed that the level of digital literacy skills of the undergraduates was high. The study concluded that the level of digital literacy skills of Library and Information Science undergraduates in South-West, Nigeria, was high. It was recommended that the university faculties should leverage on this strength to enhance the teaching learning process by using the digital platforms to teach the students more often. This study looks at the use of open access resources in two private universities in Oyo state, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey design and a self constructed questionnaire was used as a tool for data gathering. The population of study was comprised of the undergraduate students in undergraduates of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, and Lead City University, Ibadan. With the total population of 7,160 but in order to determine the sample size, the multi-stage random technique was used and the final sample size was 234. This study was guided by three objectives. Simple descriptive statistical analysis of frequency counts and percentages was used to analyze the data acquired. The study revealed that the most available open access resources in the selected private universities are open access journal, open courseware and free electronic books and most of the undergraduates used the open access resources occasionally. Also, it was revealed that undergraduate students are confronted with mild challenges against the use of open access resources and some of these challenges include; poor internet connectivity, inconsistent/unreliable electricity supplies, insufficient digital literacy skills and low awareness of the importance of the use of open access resources. The study therefore recommended the need for university library management to sustain the availability and awareness of open access resources and also to provide alternate source of power supply in order for accessibility. This study explores the extent digital literacy is used in enhancing learners participation in the use of libraries in Rivers State, Nigeria. The study was guided by two research questions. The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The sample of 380 registered learners was drawn from a population of 3800 adult and vocational education centres using multi stage sampling procedure. Data collecting instrument was the researchers developed questionnaire that was face validated by three experts. The reliability coefficient value of 0.75 was obtained using the Cronbach Alpha Statistical tool. Data were analysed using the mean and standard deviation. Findings showed that the digital competence level of learners for enhancing the use of libraries was high. In spite of the high digital competence, its usage in learners participation in the use of libraries was low. Higher education in recent years has witnessed dynamic changes due to the Coronavirus pandemic to the extent that a new term, 'new normal,' originated. In this regard, teaching and learning processes have significantly become dependent on digital technologies to warrant emphasis being laid on digital literacy skills, which many learners lack. This study was organized to assess and have records about the information literacy and computer literacy skills among the students at the University of Jammu. To collect the data, a questionnaire was framed and distributed among 265 students studying at the University of Jammu. Out of 265 students, 243 questionnaires were received with responses being filed in them. Of the 243 students, there were 159 males and 84 females. The data revealed that the majority of the students 177 (72.84%) were familiar with the concept of computer and digital literacy and most of the students possess knowledge about the basic ICT skills such as Word Application software, Multimedia Applications, Spreadsheets Applications, and Communication Applications, etc. through which they can keep themselves abreast and updated with any sort of information required. The paper highlights the importance and effectiveness of digital literacy skills among the students of the University of Jammu. In today's technological age the students must develop digital literacy skills. This study used a purposive online survey of the students at the University of Jammu. Google form was used to design the questionnaire. The results of the study show that majority of respondents at the University of Jammu were female and were between 23 and 26 years of age group. The analysis of the study shows majority 85.24% of respondents know the concept of digital literacy. In the current digital environment, it was found that the maximum number of respondents prefer internet websites to find information as it is the easy, flexible, and affordable way to find the information. 62.88% of respondents prefer the google search engine as compared to other search engines. This article covers the level of agreement, awareness, regularity, and familiarity with digital literacy abilities among users, as well as the training literacy programme, knowledge, and benefits of digital literacy in the present day. The main aim of the study is to analyze the user's knowledge and aptitude of 'Digital Literacy'. The responded was chosen using a purposive sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was distributed among 150 students of whom 126 filled questionnaires were received from 3 (three) streams: Arts, Commerce, and Science for further scrutinized, tabulated and analyzed using MS Excel and MS Word. The study examined that the majority of respondents are familiar with the phrase "digital literacy," and majority agree that the Digital Literacy Program assists incompetent usage of information sources and services. To accomplish research, systematic reviews and survey method was adopted with questionnaire as an important tool for smooth collection of data from library users, where questionnaire in both online and offline mode was framed to conduct present survey. The evolution of internet and the widespread adoption of technology in academic libraries brings about new roles and responsibilities for subject librarians. Digital literacy instruction remains the indispensable service in academic libraries in the 21st century. This emphasises the necessity for subject librarians to possess relevant digital literacy skills. This article reports on the quantitative findings emanating from the explanatory sequential mixed methods study (2022) that investigated digital literacy instruction in academic libraries in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) region in South Africa. The quantitative findings were used to achieve the study's objective that sought to find out if subject librarians possess digital literacy skills necessary for digital literacy instruction in academic libraries in KwaZulu-Natal region, South Africa. The study adopted a census method and collected data from a total of 58 subject librarians from traditional universities and universities of technology in KZN region through an online survey. The findings revealed that subject librarians in academic librarians (KwaZulu-Natal region, South Africa) are competent in various digital literacy namely e-mailing skills, Word processing, PowerPoint, information retrieval and blended learning. Further, the study revealed a significant lack of digital literacy skills related to library management system, knowledge of statistical software packages, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Access, Website design and copyright licensing. In the present digital age, digital financial literacy is likely to become an increasingly main aspect of education. Ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, like budgeting, investing and personal financial management through online. Every library and information science professionals should know naturally that there is a handy relationship between digital literacy and information literacy. The study investigated the digital financial literacy skills among library and information science professionals in northeast India. Specifically, to investigate the awareness and support to the user community regarding financial literacy, digital payment experience, advantage and disadvantage in digital payment, safety methods, online fraud experience and a preferred device for the digital online payment transaction. Survey based research designed for this study and online questionnaire schedule was used to collect the data from 94 library and information science professionals from the selected region. The result shows that respondents organized digital finance literacy awareness programs (33%) to the library users, cent percent respondents (94) had digital payment experience with banking cards, regarding advantages of digital payment system 100% (94) of the respondents believed that instant payment, 96% (90) respondents were stated most disadvantage of digital payment system is service fees and also found that 66% (62) respondents have received online fraud phone calls/mails/texts but carefully avoided them. Digital literacy in the field of education, especially higher education, provides consequences for students to be able to use reason and their ability to sort and choose various information in order to make good use of information, which is useful in pursuing their academic careers. Digital literacy demands the skills and abilities of students to utilize existing information technology tools. There is an unfavorable reality, namely the level of utilization of electronic collections in the Undiksha library, as well as from other sources, so it is interesting to conduct research on the digital literacy index of students which is allegedly related to student achievement motivation, and learning achievement or student learning outcomes undiksha. In this study it was found that the digital literacy index is still not good and the relationship between the digital literacy index and student achievement is in a less strong situation. There is no determination between achievement motivation and student achievement. Achievement motivation does not always affect achievement, depending on the context of the correlation. There are times when motivation does not affect achievement when the conditions are not conducive to competition, one of which is during the covid-19 pandemic, and learning is done online. This is due to infrastructure limitations such as a limited signal network and the limitations of adequate equipment to support the learning process which have a major impact on student achievement motivation. The results of this study indicate that a poor digital literacy index has a negative effect on achievement motivation so that it is not able to boost student achievement. The study examined digital literacy skills and job performance of librarians in state-owned Universities in Rivers State. Five research questions and five hypotheses guided this study. A correlational survey design was adopted for the population of the study which comprised 26 librarians from Rivers State University (RSU) and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) and a total enumeration sampling technique was used because the population was manageable. The questionnaire was validated by the two experts and the Cronbach Alpha was used to establish the reliability of the instrument which yielded 0.75 on Digital Literacy Skills and 0.82 on Job Performance 0.77. Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 significant levels. The test of hypotheses established that there is a significant relationship between digital literacy skills and the job performance of librarians in the study. Hence, if acquired by all the librarians it can positively influence their job performance and increase patronage of users in the library. The study focused on Digital Devices and Digital Literacy Skills Among Library and Information Science Undergraduate Students in Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Survey design was used. The population of the study covered the 200 and 300-level students of the Department of Library and Information Science, Niger Delta University. The sample size of the study was 165. The total enumeration sampling technique was used to determine the sample size of the study. The instrument used for data collection was a self-constructed questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis. The findings revealed that students of LIS, Niger Delta University, use their own smartphones, laptops, and other types of digital devices. Poor information search skills, epileptic power supply, inability to provide internet connectivity with free access, inability to manage myriads of information sources, were some of the major challenges of the respondents. Arising from the findings, recommendations were made to include the provision of internet services within the school premises for easy access by students of LIS at all times so as to reduce the cost of data subscriptions for daily academic activities in order to keep pace with information creation use and knowledge sharing. This study examined digital literacy skills as determinants of library usage among undergraduates in two Private Universities in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive and non-experimental survey research design which involved the use of questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. The targeted population of the study comprised of 8020 users who are undergraduates of the Ajayi Crowther University Library and Lead City University Library, while 481 respondents formed the sample using the sample size at confidence level of 95% and P=0.5. The data was collected via questionnaire and was analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The First, and second research questions were analysed using descriptive statistics, while the research hypothesis was analysed using correlation analysis. Findings of the study revealed that most of the undergraduates can use technology competently to interpret and understand digital content. Secondly, majority of the undergraduates frequently update their digital skills to decrease their inability of accessing online materials which helps in increasing their digital knowledge. Thirdly, current and relevant information resources provided by the library encouraged the undergraduates to use the library. The study established that digital literacy skills had significant effect on library usage among undergraduates of private Universities in Oyo State. The study recommended that undergraduates should consider the university library as a place where they can actively engage themselves and enhance their knowledge as this would turn them into active Library users. This study was conducted to determine the role of digital literacy on e-learning capabilities at UIN Sunan Ampel of Surabaya as a function of sharing information. With digital literacy, users will have extraordinary abilities to think, learn, communicate, work together, and create. Digital literacy that is important for users to have includes information literacy, media literacy, and Information and Communication Technology literacy. The digital literacy capabilities of users can be implemented in a university environment. Through digital literacy, a person can access information effectively and efficiently, evaluate information critically, and use that information more usefully. This study uses a qualitative and descriptive analysis method. Data is organized and collected through observations, surveys and interviews with literacy users, namely students and lecturers at UIN Sunan Ampel of Surabaya. The results found a model of increasing digital literacy in e-learning. This improvement model includes several elements such as communication and collaboration in the form of active participation in learning and research activities. Then the components of individual competence in the form of use skills, critical understanding, and communicative abilities. Introduction: Researchers and students, who play an essential role in promoting education and research, must inevitably use various information sources to obtain information in order to meet their information needs. However, to use digital resources, they need the ability to use digital technology, referred to as "digital literacy". Objectives: This research aimed to examine the digital information behaviour and digital literacy of master's students at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. On this basis, it will be possible to determine web users' level of expertise and knowledge in utilizing the information available on the web. By determining the current situation, appropriate solutions and training will be provided to improve the information behaviour of this group. Methods: This study cross-sectional study was carried out using a five-point Likert questionnaire developed by the researchers. The population of this study comprises 36 master's students at the University of Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Results: The results of this study revealed that the digital information-seeking ability and literacy of students at the University of Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences are generally weak. Conclusion: It is advised that internet search training sessions be offered to the students and that the degree of development in their abilities is closely studied so that their inability to locate information using online resources may be precisely discovered. The study attempted to understand the University students' digital reading habits and their related skills. It also has a view of students' preferred sources of reading, whether physical or digital resources. For this study, we conducted a survey study with students and research scholars of the Central University of Tamil Nadu, India. The instrument was a structured questionnaire distributed with various modes. The result found that the majority of the students are well known about digital tools and usage, most of the students are excellent in digital literacy skills and other findings is however they are good in digital literacy even though they like to read print books is their most favorable preference. The results conclude that whatever technological devices are developed and students have also grown their technical knowledge. The web of science database has used to retrieve records related to digital literacy research.The bibliographic citation retrieved data are analyzed using the Histcite Software application. The performance of the most productivity countries, authors, journals, languagewise, Institution --wise, keyword wise and citation reference is analyzed. Information literacy is a crucial component of developing life - long learning skills. Students need to be information literate to cope up with the challenges in further studies and future profession. The present study investigated the information literacy skills of engineering students of PSR Engineering College, Virudhunagar district, Tamilnadu State, India. It is descriptive survey method. 400 students were randomly selected. Data were collected using questionnaire. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), Version 17.0 was used to analyze the data so prepared. Descriptive and inferential statistics have been applied to the data. The results reveal that: The students are better skilled at identifying the concepts and terms related to the information they need ; knowing what they don't know to identify and information gap; defining the scope of search questions clearly in appropriate language ; using a range of retrieval tools and resources and using a range of retrieval tools and resources effectively. They are least skilled at combining the existing information with original concept ; using new tools as they become available; identifying controlled vocabularies and taxonomies to aid in searching if appropriate ; identifying when the information need has not been met and critically appraising and evaluating their own findings and those of others. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) promote open access to learning materials, thereby, providing learning opportunities for professional development and lifelong learning. University lecturers, especially in developing countries can leverage on the opportunities provided by MOOCs for skills acquisition. Considering that studies have highlighted digital literacy skills as a determinant of MOOC participation, this study examined lecturers' digital literacy skills and their participation in MOOCs. The study adopted a survey research design while the population of study comprised 110 lecturers from the Management and Social Sciences discipline at a private University in Nigeria. A self-developed questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection from the entire population. Data collected were subjected to analysis using simple percentages, mean score and logistic regression. The findings from the study revealed that on the overall, lecturers possessed advanced digital literacy skills (x = 3.60). Regarding the enrolment for MOOC, just 15% of the respondents had enrolled for at least a course on any of the MOOC website. Additionally, only 20% of those that enrolled for at least a course on the MOOC website indicated they actively participate in the courses they enrolled for. Lastly, the study revealed no statistically significant influence of lecturers' digital literacy skill on their enrolment in MOOC (X2=2.35, p>0.05). Conclusively, while this study has revealed that lecturers' digital literacy skills have no influence on their MOOC participation, it also revealed that lecturers are not yet availing themselves of the opportunities for skills acquisition and knowledge update made possible by MOOCs. The present paper is a Scientometric Study of Digital Literacy in Online Library Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA) during the year 1997 to 2011. The study attempts to examine the distribution of articles (age-wise, year-wise, and article-wise), authorship pattern, subject, language, and geographical distribution. Bradford's law used to determine the scattering of journal articles in the publication pattern on the LISTA database. Results indicate that majority of articles published during the year 2009-2011 and focus mainly on academic education. The study investigated the knowledge of information literacy and search skills of students in five selected private universities in Ogun state, Nigeria. It also examined students' ability to distinguish diverse information sources as well as assess the effectiveness of information literacy programmes of private universities. The sample consists of 359 respondents drawn proportionately from a population of 400 from the selected universities. Descriptive survey method was used to elicit data through the Monash University Library Questionnaire on Information Literacy in this study. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentages. It was found that preponderance of respondents have low knowledge of information literacy skills, showed high deficiency in identifying diverse information sources and the various information literacy programmes of the respondents' institutions lacked hands-on. The study concluded that sound information literacy skills is a desideratum in knowledge acquisition in the twenty-first century and recommended inter alia; that information literacy skills be integrated into the secondary and tertiary schools' curricula. Thus, the need for an enhanced and continuous library user education geared towards empowering students to be sufficiently familiar with information sources, mutual collaboration between teachers and librarians to ensure integrated mode of lecture delivery, constant advocacy and sensitization outreaches. The present study has been undertaken with a view to know the scenario of N-LIST Programme implementation and status of the ICT and Internet literacy skills amongst the College Library Users who have been mainly drawn from the ten selected college libraries of Barak Valley of South Assam to access E- Resources available under N-LIST Resources. The present work was carried out during January to May 2012. For that purpose, survey method was adopted, which comprises of administration of questionnaire, observation of the participants, and interview of some of the participants for knowing the opinion of the respondents in respect of usage of eresources available under N-LIST Programme/ services for their academic and research activities. The self designed questionnaire comprising of 19 questions has been distributed amongst the randomly selected 200 samples, out of which 153 respondents have responded. The present investigation is delimited to the randomly selected population of College Library Users who are regularly visiting their respective college library and using the Internet for accessing to the eresources / web resources available under the N-LIST Programme of INFLIBNET. On the basis of filled up questionnaire received from the respondents, data has been analyzed and tabulated using SPSS Software. For data analysis percentage technique has been adopted. Due to paucity of space important findings have been enumerated in brief. The paper highlights the important survey findings in respect of demographic profiles of college library users, their library visit pattern, e-resources use pattern and expectations of college library users from the N-LIST Programme through which the scholarly contents are made available to the library users. The information profession, library and information studies have evolved from one that served individual institution to one that serves communities and nations. Academic libraries are libraries in tertiary institutions, meant to serves not just the staff and students within an institution but the communities where they are established as well. It is therefore very expedient that library staff possess the skills with which to serve these users and provide the needed information they desire. Library staff therefore are faced with the challenge of upgrading their skills. The research design used for this study was social survey design and a random sampling was used to collect data from the population of study. The total population of respondents was one hundred and fifty (150) professional and para-professional librarians from Kenneth Dike Library, University of Ibadan, Bells University of Technology Library, Babcock University library, Crawford University Library, and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Library, but the total number of questionnaire returned was ninety six (96). Questionnaire and Observation method was used to get the views from the respondents and they were analyze through the use of frequency distribution, correlation coefficient and standard deviation techniques. Majority of the respondents reported that they were well motivated on their jobs. A total of 46 (47.9%) agreed that they liked working in the library and other colleagues. A total of 54 (56.3%) affirmed that they appreciated their boss and colleagues. On the extent to which digital literacy is utilized for job satisfaction, and career progression of library staff, 31 (32.3%) reported that they have not received training over time while a total of 56 (58.3%) agreed they were satisfied with progress in their career because their boss carries them along and had an increase on their pay overtime. The article discusses the use of internet resources by undergraduate students in Nigeria, with particular focus given to the influence of student's computer skills and locus of control on their usage. The study's methodology and goals are described, and the findings that most students use the internet for tasks both related and unrelated to their studies, that greater computer skills lead to higher usage, and that locus of control has small effect on student's internet behavior are commented on.

The article discusses the use of Web 2.0 and social media by libraries. The growth of user-generated content in all information is acknowledged as an uncertain development for library services. Differences in the concepts of information literacy and digital literacy are discussed, particularly the role of production of information in overall digital literacy. It is argued that the primary impact of Web 2.0 on libraries is that it changes the nature of library users themselves by making them more interactive with information rather than passive consumers of information.
