Long before "world music" hit the stage, Mann had already included the varied rhythms of Africa, Cuba and particularly Brazil into his vast repertoire. The festival will include a total of 24 events in nine different venues throughout the tiny rustic town of Cape May, New Jersey. Other concerts featured on Friday evening will include guitarist Charlie Hunter, who incorporates an edgy rhythmic flow of jazz, funk and rock on his eight-string guitar. Clark Terry, elder statesman of jazz, brings his golden trumpet and flugelhorn and witty humor to the Blue Note on November 1-6.
