Purpose. The relevance of the article is determined by the presence of a significant number of children with disabilities and persons with disabilities in the Russian Federation, as well as the need to develop and implement new educational approaches and educational technologies that increase the effectiveness of vocational training. The purpose of the article is to analyze the problems arising in the process of professional self-determination among people with disabilities and people with disabilities. Methodology. The basis of the research is formed by the methods of pedagogical and psychological research, the principles of professional and pedagogical education, as well as design, competence and systemic approaches to the organization of the process of teaching people with disabilities. Results. The results of the work consist in the fact that it is determined that people with disabilities and people with disabilities need special educational support, which is expressed in immersion in the general educational environment, which implies the absence of barriers and obstacles to their full activity, with the possible inclusion of various forms of special education. One of the priorities of state policy in the social sphere is to increase the availability of vocational education for people with disabilities. The materials of the article can be adapted to all levels of professional training in various fields and specialties. Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the field of vocational education.
