Objective: To provide guidance for hip replacement by analyzing the variation of femoral head rotation center in different hip diseases., Methods: A total of 5 459 patients were collected from March 2016 to June 2021, who took positive and proportional plain films of both hips for various reasons. The relative position between the rotation center of the femoral head and the apex of the greater trochanter was measured. The positive variation is more than 2 mm above the top of the great trochanter, and the negative variation is more than 2 mm below the top of the great trochanter. A total of 831 patients with variation of femoral head rotation center were collected and were divided into 4 groups according to different diseases, and the variation was counted respectively. There were 15 cases in the normal group involving 10 cases of positive variation and 5 cases of negative variation. There were 145 cases of avascular necrosis of femoral head involving 25 cases of positive variation and 120 cases of negative variation. There were 346 cases of congenital hip dysplasia involving 225 cases of positive variation(including 25 cases of typeⅠ, 70 cases of type Ⅱ, 115 cases of type Ⅲ and 15 cases of type Ⅳ), and 121 cases of negative variation(including 50 cases of crowe typeⅠ, 60 cases of typeⅡ, 10 cases of type Ⅲ and 1 case of type Ⅳ). There were 325 cases of hip osteoarthritis group involving 45 cases of positive variation and 280 cases of negative variation., Results: There was significant difference in variation of femoral head rotation center among the four groups( P <0.05). There was significant difference in variation of femoral head rotation center among different types of congenital hip dysplasia( P <0.05). There were significant differences in cervical trunk angle and eccentricity among different variations of femoral head rotation center( P <0.05)., Conclusion: The variation of femoral head rotation center is related to cervical trunk angle and eccentricity. The variation of femoral head rotation center is an important factor in hip diseases. The variation of femoral head rotation center is different in different hip diseases. Avascular necrosis of the femoral head and osteoarthritis of the hip were mostly negative variations. With the aggravation of congenital hip dysplasia, the variation of femoral head rotation center gradually changed from negative variation to positive variation. The variation of femoral head rotation center should be paid attention to in the preoperative planning of hip arthroplasty. It is of great significance to select the appropriate prosthesis and place the prosthesis accurately.

- Abstract
Phenylpropanoid metabolic pathway is one of the most important secondary metabolic pathways in plants. It directly or indirectly plays an antioxidant role in plant resistance to heavy metal stress, and can improve the absorption and stress tolerance of plants to heavy metal ions. In this paper, the core reactions and key enzymes of the phenylpropanoid metabolic pathway were summarized, and the biosynthetic processes of key metabolites such as lignin, flavonoids and proanthocyanidins and relevant mechanisms were analyzed. Based on this, the mechanisms of key products of phenylpropanoid metabolic pathway in response to heavy metal stress were discussed. The perspectives on the involvement of phenylpropanoid metabolism in plant defense against heavy metal stress provides a theoretical basis for improving the phytoremediation efficiency of heavy metal polluted environment.

- Abstract
The quality of Chinese medicine is the foundation of the clinical effects and industrial development. Component analysis ensures the consistency and stability of medicinals, but fails to evaluate the clinical efficacy. Bioassay is an analytical method to evaluate the effect of a substance on living organisms, tissues, or cells, which is an optimal option for assessing the quality of Chinese medicine. Bioassay of Chinese medicine starts early but progresses slowly. At the moment, it has attracted the interest of scholars. However, no systematic research is available. This study aims to summarize the research on the application of bioassay in quality evaluation of Chinese medicine, focusing on the application of key techniques and experimental systems in bioassay in heat-clearing and blood-activating and stasis-eliminating Chinese medicine and the common problems. Meanwhile, suggestions were proposed in terms of the association with clinical efficacy and chemical analysis and the status quo of biological assay. This study is expected to promote the study and application of bioassay.

- Abstract
Photoimmunotherapy (PIT) is an emerging tumor-targeted phototherapy that combines the tumor specificity of monoclonal antibodies with the phototoxicity of light absorbers to rapidly and selectively induce the immunogenic death of target tumor cells. PIT has minimal side effects due to its high specificity. The immunogenic cell death induced by PIT results in rapid maturation of immature dendritic cells proximal to dying tumor cells. Subsequently, the mature dendritic cells present the tumor antigens to CD8+ T cells and induce their activation and proliferation, thus enhancing the antitumor immune response of the host. PIT can also improve the anticancer efficacy by enhancing the penetration of nanomedicines into tumor tissues. In view of the excellent application prospects of PIT, this review summarizes the advances in the immune activation mechanism of PIT, the superenhanced permeability and retention effect, and the new strategies for combinatory therapy, providing references for future research and clinical translation.

- Abstract
Ginsenoside Rg_3 is widely used in clinical practice as an anti-tumor adjuvant drug, but its application is limited due to its poor oral absorption. In this study, we intended to construct a ginsenoside Rg_3 nanostructured lipid carrier modified by the pullulan(PUL-Rg_3-NLC) to improve the adhesion properties of ginsenoside Rg_3, promote the drug uptake and improve the anti-tumor efficacy. PUL-Rg_3-NLC was characterized by morphology, particle size and Zeta potential. In vivo adhesion characteristics were evaluated by oral gavage tests, and the results were verified from multiple perspectives in combination with in vitro uptake behavior and in vitro pharmacodynamics. The results showed that PUL-Rg_3-NLC, with a particle size of(102±1.89) nm, was characterized by gastric adhesion and could be retained in gastric tissues for a long time, and its uptake by BGC-823 cells was promoted mainly through the pathway mediated by the caveolin-mediated endocytosis. In vitro MTT, cell apoptosis, wound-healing assay and invasion assay all showed some anti-tumor effects. Therefore, PUL-Rg_3-NLC can significantly promote the adhesion of Rg_3 in the stomach, promote the uptake of drugs by gastric cancer cells, and improve the anti-tumor effect. This study can provide some reference for the adjuvant treatment of gastric cancer.

- Abstract
To investigate the extensive application of Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) in clinical real world study, and provide basis for clinical guidance on rational drug use and improvement of drug instructions. A prospective, multi-center, large-sample hospital centralized monitoring method was adopted to collect the general information and medication information of all patients who received Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) during the study period in the respective monitoring units. Data analysis was performed using SAS 9.1 software. This study included 79 hospitals, with 30 097 patients being recruited. The patients who met the indications for stroke and hemiplegia accounted for 31.18%, those who experienced indications of chest pain and heartache accounted for 23.15%, and patients with central retinal vein occlusion indication accounted for 0.53%. The minimum single dose of Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) was 20 mg, the maximum single dose was 1 000 mg, and the average single dose was(383.31±78.10) mg. 69.96% of the patients used 0.9% sodium chloride as the menstruum, 28.78% of the patients used 5% glucose as the menstruum, and 0.19% of the patients used 10% glucose as the menstruum. The minimum time for Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) to dissolve is 0 min, 120 min maximally, and(14.26±13.73) min on an average basis. Patients using Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) by intravenous drip accounted for 99.93%, with a slowest drip rate of 10 drops per min, fastest drip rate of 80 drops per min, and an average of(43.91±10.77) drops per min. Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) was used for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 80 days, with an average of(8.22±5.12) days. Combined use with other injections accounted for 80.67%, 47.14% of them flushed the tube and 3.31% of them replaced infusion sets. The study found 40 cases of adverse reactions in patients with Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized), with an overall incidence of 0.13%(0.09% to 0.17%) for adverse reactions. In the real world application, the usage of Injection of Xuesaitong(lyophilized) basically meets the requirement of drug instructions in terms of indications, dosages, and methods of administration. However, it still needs to be improved in standardizing the selection of the menstruum, drip rate, course of treatment, and the combined usage of medicine.

- Abstract
An 84-day laboratory incubation experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different fertilizers (urea; manure), moisture conditions (60%, 75% and 90% water holding capacity) and temperatures (15, 25 and 35℃) on nitrogen mineralization. The experiment included 3 treatments:①CK, unfertilized control; ② Ur, adding urea at N 120 mg·kg
-1 ; 3 UM, adding urea and manure (equal to adding N 120 mg·kg-1 ). Total inorganic nitrogen and soluble organic nitrogen (SON) were determined at different times throughout the experiment. The results showed that soil temperature and fertilization type had significant impacts on the net mineralization rates, cumulative mineralization, and the potentially mineralizable nitrogen ( N0 ) ( P <0.01). In addition, the soil net N mineralization rates and cumulative mineralization significantly ( P <0.05) increased by 1.46-8.17 and 2.00-8.15 times, respectively, when fertilizers were added into soils. The soil net N mineralization rates and cumulative mineralization increased with the increase of temperature. Compared with CK treatment, Ur and UM treatments could significantly increase the content of soil soluble organic nitrogen(SON). There was a significant negative correlation between the content of SON and cumulative mineralization. It indicated that SON was involved in soil nitrogen mineralization as a non-negligible component. Increasing the temperature could significantly increase the mineralization rate and mineralization intensity of SON in soil, but the water content had no significant influence on the SON of the soils. Moreover, the authors found that fertilization treatment worked significantly in decreasing the Q10 value for soil N mineralization compared with CK treatment. Further, the Q10 value was significantly lowest in UM treatment( Q10 =1.01). The results showed that the application of organic manure significantly reduced the sensitivity of the rate of nitrogen mineralization to temperature changes, which was beneficial in slowing down the release rate of mineral nitrogen under high temperatures and improving the nitrogen utilization efficiency of crops.- Published

The head of the silkworm is a nerve center and a sense organ, contains antennaes and sensory hair, feels the outside signal, and responds to the external signal delivered to the brain. Juvenile hormone is mainly synthesized and secreted by corpora allata, and it needs to be played with the aid of the hormone binding protein, because the juvenile hormone binding protein is the carrier of juvenile hormone transport and plays a functional in vivo, they have an extremely important function in insects. The objective of this study is to screened and identify a novel BmTOL proteins that it has a conserved structure of the juvenile hormone binding protein family by SilkDB and NCBI database. Its coding gene number is BGIBMGA003404 (GenBank Accession No. KY681053). We also expressed the recombinant protein using the prokaryotic expression system, and then successfully purified the recombinant protein by Ni-NTA chromatography column to generate the polyclonal antibodies. The expression patterns analysis in various tissues showed that both in transcriptional and protein levels Bmtol was higher expressed in head. Furthermore, the expression level of Bmtol gene was higher in newly exuviated silkworm, and expression level of Bmtol gene was lower from at 3 days 5th instar to 7 days pupa, began to increase after the moth. Immunohistochemistry showed that BmTOL protein was localized in the cortex, antennaes and brain of the head, It may be related to the information transmission of the head, and provides an important source of information for the growth and development of silkworm.

- Abstract
By reviewing the literature regarding the development mechanism of myocardial stunning, effects of acupuncture on myocardial ischemic injury, and correlation between acupuncture and κ-opioid receptor, it was suggested that acupuncture was highly likely to act on κ-opioid receptor in myocardial cells, and directly treated myocardial malfunction induced by myocardial stunning through κ-opioid receptor and its signaling pathway. In addition, acupuncture could inhabit the signaling pathway of adrenoceptor β1, one of the main functional receptors, to indirectly improve myocardial ischemic injury. From κ-opioid receptor signaling pathway, the action mechanism of acupuncture for prevention and treatment of myocardial stunning was discussed in this paper, hoping to provide new ideas for possible mechanism of acupuncture for myocardial ischemic injury.

- Abstract
To clarify the effects of Zuoguiwan containing serum on osteoblast proliferation and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) expression and its effects on the expression of β-catenin, ERK1, ERK2 mRNA and protein of osteoblast through ERK1/2, Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in models with osteoporosis(OP) kidney-Yang-deficiency, osteoporosis(OP) kidney-Yin-deficiency syndrome. Rat osteoporosis models were established by ovariectomy surgery, and 10 weeks after surgery, hydrocortisone was injected and thyroxine was administered by intragastric administration to establish OP kidney-Yang-deficiency rat model, and OP kidney-Yin-deficiency rat model. Osteoblasts were obtained from 24 h newborn rat skull and were identified by alkaline phosphatase and alizarin red staining. Zuoguiwan containing serum of OP, OP kidney-Yang-deficiency, and OP kidney-Yin-deficiency, as well as the blank serum were used to intervene the osteoblast, and the cells proliferation was detected by MTS. ELISA assay was used to detect ALP expression. RT-PCR assay was used to detect the mRNA expression of ERK1, ERK2, β-catenin and protein expression levels were detected by Western blot. The results showed that Zuoguiwan containing serum in OP kidney-Yin-deficiency model had stronger effect than OP kidney-Yang-deficiency in promoting osteoblast proliferation, ALP expression, osteoblast ERK1/2, Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway related factors β-catenin, ERK1, ERK2 mRNA and protein expression levels. This was consistent with the TCM theory of "Zuoguiwan nourishes kidney Yin", providing a scientific basis for the clinical and dialectical treatment of osteoporosis. Zuoguiwan could regulate the proliferation and differentiation of bone cells by ERK1/2 and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which may be one of the mechanisms of Zuoguiwan for the prevention of osteoporosis., Competing Interests: The authors of this article and the planning committee members and staff have no relevant financial relationships with commercial interests to disclose., (Copyright© by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association.)

- Abstract
Zero-Valent Iron Permeable Reactive Barrier (Fe
0 -PRB) is a competitive and economical in-situ groundwater remediation technology in recent years, and high removal efficiencies of Cr(Ⅵ)-polluted groundwater have been realized. The present study focused on the impacting mechanism of Cr(Ⅵ) removal by Fe0 -PRB. Environmental condition response was revealed from kinetic view, and kinetic expression describing the removal process was determined. In addition, the effect of groundwater chemical conditions was studied. It was found that calcium had little effect on Cr(Ⅵ) removal. Chloride might influence Cr(Ⅵ) removal through impacting electron transfer, and sulfate/magnesium might influence Cr(Ⅵ) removal through participating in reactions. Bicarbonate might influence Cr(Ⅵ) removal through combined effects of impacting electron transfer and participating in reactions. The results provide method and theory basis for process parameter optimization in Fe0 -PRB systems.- Published

Objective: To explore the effects of simultaneous multi-level surgery intervention on the changes of the oxidative stress and the cognitive function in young and middle-aged patients with moderate-severe OSAHS., Method: One hundred and sixteen young and middle-aged patients with moderate-severe OSAHS received simultaneous multi-level surgery. PSG,malondialdehyde (MDA), advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) and 8-isoprostaneF2α (8-iso-PGF2α) were tested, together with the evaluation of the questionnaires of Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA), mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and Epworth sleepiness scale (ESS) before and 6 months after surgery., Result: (1) The AHI, TS90% and LSaO₂ were all improved significantly 6 months after operation. No severe complications were observed in any patient. (2) The preoperative MoCA and MMSE scores were (23.52 ± 2.64) and (26.54 ± 1.07) respectively. The cognitive impairment were detected in OSAHS patients. MoCA was negatively correlated with AHI, TS90%, MDA, AOPP and 8-iso-PGF2a, while positively correlated with LSaO₂ (P < 0.05, r = -0.233, -0.190, -0.256, -0.247, -0.221 and 0.215, respectively). Cognitive impairment was mainly manifested as disorder in the visual space and execu- tive function, memory and delayed recall (mainly short-term memory). (3) MoCA and MMSE scores were both increased (P < 0.05) after the operation. MoCA showed negative correlations with MDA, AOPP, 8-iso-PGF2α, AHI and TS90%, and positive correlation with LSaO₂ (P < 0.05, r = -0.495, -0.463, -0.397, -0.332, -0.292 and 0.336, respectively)., Conclusion: Oxidative stress and cognitive dysfunction are closely related in young and middle-aged patients with Moderate-severe OSAHS. Oxidative stress may play an important role in cognitive function of young and middle-aged patients with Moderate-severe OSAHS. Multi-level surgery can improve oxidative stress so that to improve cognitive impairment.

Objective: To explore the methods in the diagnosis and treatment of ankle fracture with Wagsaffe fragment., Methods: Among 1 201 patients, there were 18 cases of concurrent Wagstaffe fractures at our hospital between January 2009 to January 2012. There were 11 males and 7 females with an average of 37.4 (17-54) years. The causes of injuries were fall (n = 10), sports-related injury (n = 4), traffic injury (n = 3) and high-altitude fall (n = 1). All of them had lateral malleolar fracture. Other injuries included internal malleolar fracture (n = 16), posterior malleolar fracture (n = 8) and disruption of medial deltoid ligament (n = 3). According to the Lauge-Hansen system, all fractures were of supination-external rotation type. The fractures of fibula and Wagstaffe were explored through an anterolateral approach. The lateral malleolar fracture was fixed with plate While Wagstaffe fragment secured with lag screw or thread. Disrupted anterior tibiofibular ligament was restored. Other treatments included open reduction and internal fixation of medial and posterior malleolus, repair of medial deltoid ligament and screw fixation of disrupted tibiofibular syndesmosis. Ankle function was evaluated by the Baird-Jackson criteria., Results: Wagstaffe fracture occurred at a rate of 1.5% in ankle fractures. Wagstaffe fracture was found in 4.4% of ankle fracture of supination-external rotation type. Seventeen patients were followed up over an average follow-up period of 16.8 (12-25) months. All radiographs showed union of all fractures and normal mortise. Baird-Jackson ankle functional score was from 81 to 99. In all 17 patients, 9 were rated as excellent, 5 as good and 3 as fair. The excellent and good rate was 87.4%. At the latest follow-up, 14 patients resumed their preinjury activities., Conclusion: As an easily misdiagnosed condition, Wagstaffe fracture is associated with ankle diastase and prone to occur in ankle fracture of supination-external rotation type. Accurate reduction and stable fixation facilitate the restoration of stable syndesmosis in the treatment of ankle fracture with concurrent Wagsaffe fragment.

- Abstract
The sorption kinetics and sorption/desorption isotherms of two endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) including 17alpha-ethinyl estradiol (EE2) and 4-n-nonylphenol (NP) on three natural soils with different physicochemical properties were investigated. Results showed that two-compartment first-order model performed better than one-compartment first-order model in description of EDCs' kinetic sorption. The fast sorption compartment was dominant in the initial stage, and then contribution from slow sorption compartment increased gradually with time until equilibrium. The adsorption rate of EE2 was 2.0-4.7 times as that of NP. For adsorption isotherms, both Freundlich and Dubinin-Ashtakhov (DA) models provided good fit, though DA model was more appropriate. The saturated sorption capacity (Q0) was in a positive correlation to the content of soil organic matter, and higher Q0 was found for NP (10.47-110.15 microg x g(-1)) than EE2 (0.85-7.67 microg x g(-1)). The calculated free energy of sorption indicated that physical process dominated sorption of EE2 and NP in soil. The desorption hysteresis occurred in sorption/desorption experiments of EE2 and NP, especially in soils with the high organic matter fraction and large specific surface, indicating EDCs' potential environmental risk in soil.

Objective: To observe ultrastructure of maxillary sinus mucosa of experimental acute sinusitis in rabbits., Method: Twenty-five rabbits were randomly divided into experimental group (20 rabbits) and blank control group (5 rabbits). We established a rhinogenic model of experimental acute sinusitis in experimental group. Five rabbits chosen randomly in experimental group were sacrificed and dissected after 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks, and the tissue (0.3 cm x 0.3 cm) of sinus mucosa were prepared for visualization by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Animals in blank control group were sacrificed after 1 week., Result: Under the transmission electron microscope, in the blank control group, cilia of maxillary sinus mucosa lined up in order without ciliary loss, no stretched endoplasmic reticulum or turgescent mitochondria was observed. However, in the experimental group, inordinate array and loss of cilia was observed, a few compound cilia and cytoplasmic protrusion were also found. Both endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria were swelling, and the lymphocytes were infiltrating with fibroblast proliferation in the submucosa. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the blank control group (P < 0.05). In the experimental group, the number of compound cilia increased from 1 to 4 weeks, and the amount of compound cilia of the mucosa at 3 and 4 weeks was significantly higher than that at 1 week (P < 0.05). Swelling of mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum was severe at 2 weeks and abated gradually with time, the results at 2 weeks were different from those of experimental group at 4 weeks (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The obstruction of nasal sinuses and the bacterial infection might lead to ultrastructural changes of maxillary sinus mucosa, and these ultrastructural changes were believed to the important processes of pathological changes in acute sinusitis.

- Abstract
The main objective of this study was to observe the adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of mouse osteblast-like MC3T3-E1 cells cultured on maleic anhydride-modified poly(D,L-lactic acid) (MPLA) and poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PDLLA) polymers, and to evaluate the cytocompatibility of MPLA polymer. The effects of MPLA and PDLLA polymers on the morphology, adhesion, proliferation, the content of total cellular protein, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity and the content of Ca of MC3T3-E1 cells were explored. These results indicated that MC3T3-E1 cells on MPLA polymer adhered and spread more fully. On MPLA polymer, the proliferation, total protein content, ALP activity, Ca content of the cells were significantly higher than those of the cells on PDLLA polymer (P < 0.01). It was concluded that MPLA polymer could promote the adhesion, spreading, proliferation and the synthesis of protein of osteoblasts, and also induced the differentiation and mineralization of osteoblasts, suggesting that MPLA polymer might have the better cytocompatibility than PDLLA.

Objective: To construct recombinant adenovirus carrying C-Terminal of the adhesion factor gene p97 of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp) so as to provide basis for further studying new type Mhp vaccine., Methods: We amplified p97 gene from the genome of Mhp and cloned into pShuttle-CMV plasmid. The correctly identified recombinant plasmid was linearized with Pme I and transformed into E. coli BJ5183-AD-1 competent cells containing adenovirus backbone vector to produce recombinant adenovirus DNA by homologous recombination. Purified recombinant adenovirus plasmid was linearized with Pac I, and transfected into AD293 cells to obtain recombinant adenovirus. The recombinant adenovirus was identified by RT-PCR, indirect immunofluorescence assay and Western blot, and purified by cesium chloride density centrifugation kit, then its titer was determined. Balb/c mice were immunized with recombinant adenovirus via intramuscular and intranasal routes and analysis the immunity results through humoral immunity, mucosal immunity and cell-mediated immunity aspect., Results: Digestion by Pac I proved successful homologous recombination. RT-PCR, Indirect immunofluorescence assay and Western Blot showed that the recombinant adenovirus transcribed and expressed P97 C-terminal protein successfully, the titer could achieve to 5 x 10(11)TCID50/mL after purification. Inoculation with the recombinant adenovirus by each route elicited P97 C-terminal protein specific serum and lung homogenate IgG and SIgA was induced by intranasal route, but the special lymphocyte proliferation was not induced by each route., Conclusion: The recombinant adenovirus expressing p97-Terminal gene was successfully constructed and it induced special humoral and mucosal immunity but no cell-mediated immunity.

Objective: To resolve the problem of the accuracy and standardization of short tandem repeat-polymerase chain reaction (STR-PCR) typing in forensic practice, the authors have designed a new method of producing standard D12S391 allelic ladder., Methods: Nine different PCR amplified D12S391 allelic fragments were isolated from the gel, eluted into the distilled water and re-amplified by PCR. The purified allelic fragments were then blunt-end subcloned individually into the pUC plasmid vectors and transfected into competent E.coli DH5 alpha(TM) cells. The sequencing results confirmed that the size and the structure of the inserts were correct. The recombinant plasmids DNA with 9 inserts were then used as templates for PCR re-amplification to generate D12S391 standard ladder., Results: With the ladder, the authors studied the genetic polymorphisms of D12S391 locus in six populations (German, Japanese and Chinese south-western Han, northern Han, Weiwu'er and Hui populations), and the respective primary data in the six populations were obtained. D12S391 locus showed high polymorphism in all six populations, and its exclusion power and discrimination power are 0.609-0.786 and 0.940-0.952 respectively., Conclusion: The results demonstrate that the standard ladder generated via this method is excellent, and D12S391 locus is robust for genetic research and forensic application.

- Abstract
For the purpose of studying the molecular mechanism of the traumatic brain injury, we have established a reproducible graded lateral fluid percussion model of experimental brain injury in the rat with a modified fluid percussion device. The device consists of a stainless steel cylindrical reservoir instead of the plexiglass reservoir, a steel reservoir filled with compressed gas instead of the pendulum for making more accurate percussion pressure, an apparatus for releasing the pressure immediately after the percussion, and a computer for recording and storing the percussion data. Pathologic examination demonstrated subdural hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and hemorrhage in the lateral ventricle and corpus callosum on the percussion side. The severity of pathologic changes increased with the magnitude of percussion. The results indicate that the new device could inflict reproducible graded lateral fluid percussion brain injury on rats and the model can be used for the studies of neuropathologic and molecular mechanism of brain injury.

- Abstract
The behaviour of ICMs isolated from early blastocysts of rabbit by microsurgery and incubated in cultural system in vitro, are varied according to the growing state of ICM. The band type growing extends from the proximal to the distal end, while the differentiation of cells in this kind initiates from the distal toward the proximal and gradually. The band type ICM possesses obvious polarity. The differentiation of different kind of cells appear one after another in order and the arrangement of differentiated germinal layer are clearcut. Therefore, the band type ICM is a good model for the investigation of differentiation cell and cell lineage. Whereas the ball type of growing ICM possesses no polarity. The cell in this type of ICM appears to differentiate from the outer surface of the ball toward the center gradually. The cellular differentiation starts later and the rate of proliferation of differentiated cells are lower than those of the band type ICM. After 7 days of incubation in vitro most of the ICM remain undifferentiation. The ball type ICM is a good model for the isolation of the embryonic stem cell line. There are two steps that the extraembryonic endoderm of rabbit are differentiated from ICM. The first kind of extraembryonic endoderm formed from ICM after 3 days of incubation in vitro. It is the parietal extraembryonic endoderm which migrate so far from the primitive ectoderm. The second kind of extraembryonic endoderm differentiates from ICM after 4 days of incubation in vitro. It is the visceral endoderm, most of which followed the migration of the first endoderm and the rest of them invade into the trophectoderm near the primitive ectoderm.

Of 172 cases, 47 cases were cured (27.3%), 77 markedly effective (44.8%), 44 improved (25.6%), 4 failed (2.3%). The total effective rate was 97.7%. The observation showed that different stimulating strength was needed to different disease through observation of the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture. The strongest was for the sequela of poliomyelitis. The next was for the sequela of apoplexy. The lightest was for sciatica, and during treatment the stimulating strength to disorder side is larger than one of normal side. By the way, the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture was reduced step by step while the disease become better little by little.) The result of clinical observation displaced that the stimulating strength was determined according to the part of injured N.S and patient's sensitivity to the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture when using electroacupuncture.

- Abstract
Autographa califonica nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcNPV) DNA from larvae of lepidopteran infected by AcNPV has been isolated. The EcoRI fragments of AcNPV DNA have been cloned using plasmid pBR325 as a vector. The polyhedrin gene fragment containing recombinant plasmid pAc-18 was isolated through in situ hybridization. For the convenience of further construction the EcoRI insertion fragment was cloned into pUC-8. Thus plasmid pUAc-2 was obtained. The results of restriction mapping of pAc-18 and pUAc-2 and part of the sequence were reported. The polyhedrin promotor was known to be one of the most effective promotor useful in the expression of foreign genes in the insect cells.
