This paper reports a case of Kagami-Ogata syndrome in a preterm infant with gestational age of 30 weeks. Prenatal ultrasonography suggested excess amniotic fluid, large biparietal diameter and abdominal circumference, and widening of the lateral ventricles, renal pelvis, and intestinal tubes in several places. Postnatal examination showed a small jaw, collapsed nose, and upturned nostrils; the chest was narrow and bell-shaped, and the abdominal wall showed diastasis recti and a bowel pattern. Chest radiographs showed 'hanger sign' ribs. Ultrasound showed widening of the lateral ventricles, hydronephrosis in both kidneys and cryptorchidism. Thyroid function tests suggested congenital hypothyroidism. Prenatal amniocentesis results obtained on day 6 after birth revealed the presence of a microdeletion of approximately 268.2 kb in the known genomic imprinted region 14q32.2 from the mother. The diagnosis of Kagami-Ogata syndrome was confirmed on the basis of the prenatal amniocentesis results and the clinical presentation of the infant after birth. The family gave up treatment after the infant was treated with ventilator, nutritional support, and antibiotics without significant improvement. In this paper, we summarize the diagnosis and treatment of this infant and review the literature inorder to enrich the clinical knowledge of this disease.

Through graded salting out with ammonium sulfate and dialysis, esterases were extracted and purified from goose liver, chicken liver and pig liver respectively, then their structures were characterized, and their inhibition responses to carbaryl as a pesticide model were further investigated. Results showed that the yield of goose liver esterase was the highest (14.58%), and that of chicken liver esterase was the lowest (8.82%) with the best thermal stability, while the protein mass concentration of pig liver esterase was the highest (12.47mg/mL); the protein molecular weights of all three kinds of animal liver esterases were 30 ~ 110 kDa with the leading one of 55 kDa, and that in chicken liver esterase was the highest (16.74%) while the lowest was in that of pig liver esterase (14.31%); these three kinds of animal liver esterases showed different sizes of protein particles with flake structures and smooth surfaces; in the carbaryl concentration range of 0.5~10.0 mg/L, the linear range (0.5~5.0 mg/L), the detection limit (0.29 mg/L) and IC50 (7.74 mg/L) of chicken liver esterase were the lowest, which could be used as a potential sensitive enzyme source for rapid detection of carbaryl. The corrosion behaviors of four metal materials in MDEA solution at different conditions were studied by electrochemical methods. The results showed that with increasing temperature, electrochemical corrosion rate increased dramatically. Moreover, the corrosion rate of 20 # steel and 20R steel in vapor phase was greater than that in liquid phase. The corrosion rates of amine solution saturated with hydrogen sulphide increased after running for a period, while the solution without hydrogen sulphide showed almost no electrochemical corrosion to the materials. In addition, the tendency of electrochemical corrosion of stainless steel 304 and 316L was not detected during the experiment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Binge-eating disorder (BED) is a type of eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating. Patients with BED have recurrent impulsive and out-of-controlled binge eating behavior, which can lead to gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, and the resulting metabolic and functional disorders of various systems and other physical problems; and it is also often co-morbid with affective disorder, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and other mental disorders, which need to be taken seriously. However, the recognition of BED in China was late, and it is difficult to achieve early identification and diagnosis, resulting in a prolonged course of disease. Therefore, under the organization of the Eating Disorders Coordination Group of the Psychosomatic Medicine Society of the Chinese Medical Association, together with the Eating Disorders Research Collaboration Group of the Psychiatric Medicine Society of the Chinese Medical Association, an expert group composed of 15 psychiatrists and evidence-based medicine experts, and 2 internal medicine experts, formulated this expert consensus based on evidence-based medical evidence, domestic and foreign guidelines and expert consensus, and expert experiences. The aim of this study is to improve the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of BED by psychiatrists, internists and general practitioners in China.

Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a type of eating disorders characterized by self-starvation, significant loss of body mass, and malnutrition. AN has the highest mortality rate among all psychiatric disorders, leading to severe psychopathologic symptoms and life-threatening medical complications. However, AN cannot be recognized and diagnosed early in China, resulting in a prolonged course of the disease. Therefore, under the organization of the Eating Disorders Coordination Group of the Psychosomatic Medicine Society of the Chinese Medical Association, together with the Eating Disorders Research Collaboration Group of the Psychiatric Medicine Society of the Chinese Medical Association, this expert consensus was formulated by 16 medical experts based on evidence-based medical evidence, domestic and international guidelines and expert consensus, expert experience, etc., in order to improve the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of AN among domestic professionals.

Helicobacter pylori （Hp） is a major human pathogen. Hp infection will cause a series of gastrointestinal diseases， such as chronic gastritis， peptic ulcer and gastric cancer， etc. In recent years， with the increasing incidence of these diseases， their etiology and pathogenesis have attracted more and more attention from many scholars around the world. The pathogenic mechanism of cytotoxin-associated gene A （CagA）， one of the virulence genes of Hp， has captivated widespread attention. EPIYA motif and Hp infection-associated gastropathy have become a hot topic. In this article， the relationship between EPIYA motif and gastropathy related to Hp infection was briefly reviewed.

Objective To investigate the effects of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) transplantation on the expression of deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) and neurofilament-200 (NF-200) in peri-infarct cortex of rats. Methods SD rats were randomly divided into sham group, model group and ADSCs group. The rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) was established with the modified Longa's method. Twenty-four hours after MCAO, 50 μL of cell suspension containing about 2×10 6 PKH-26-labeled ADSCs was injected into the carotid artery of rats in the ADSCs group, and the same dose of saline was given to the rats in the model group. Day 7 and 14 after MCAO, the migration of ADSCs in rat brains was observed under a fluorescence microscope, and the protein levels of DCC and NF-200 in the peri-infarct cortex were measured by Western blot analysis and the expression and distribution of DCC and NF-200 were detected by immunofluorescent histochemistry. Results PKH-26-labeled ADSCs were observed in the rat brains of ADSC group, and most of them were located in the peri-infarct cortex. At 7 and 14 days after MCAO, the expression of DCC in the model group was higher than that in the sham group, while the expression level of NF-200 was lower. Besides, the expression of DCC and NF-200 in the ADSC group was both higher than that in the model group. In the peri-infract cortex, DCC was mainly expressed in NF-200-positive neuronal axons. Conclusion The ADSCs can migrate to the peri-infarct cortex after transplantation via carotid artery, and may strengthen the axonal regeneration and repairment by promoting the expression of DCC and NF-200 in this region.

Objective: To investigate the effect of iron supplementation on iron deficiency anemia of childbearing age women, and to find out the optimal amount of iron intake for maintaining their health., Methods: 74 childbearing age women aged 21 to 45 years with anemia were randomly assigned to intervention or control group by hemoglobin content, and a iron nutrition packet (mainly composed of ferric pyrophosphate and ferrous fumarate, containing iron 8 mg) or a placebo packet was given daily for six months, respectively. Hemoglobin, serum ferritin, food frequency and 24h dietary recall survey were performed before intervention and three and six months after intervention., Results: Hemoglobin and serum ferritin of the intervention group were significantly higher (P < 0.01) than that in control group after six months. The number of women with hemoglobin > or = 120 g/L in intervention and control group was 15 (44.1%) and 5 (14.3%), respectively (P < 0.01). The number of women with serum ferritin > or = 15 micro g/L in intervention and control group was 11 (34.4%) and 4 (12.5%), respectively (P < 0.05). The average dietary iron intake was 14.0 mg/d, mainly from plant foods. There was a positive correlation of total iron intake (dietary iron plus iron supplements) with hemoglobin (r = 0.57, P < 0.01). More menstrual blood and dietary fiber were the risk factors for iron deficiency anemia (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: The anemic status in childbearing age women could be improved by providing iron 8 mg daily for six months consecutively. Daily dietary intake of iron 23.2 mg can meet the requirement of maintaining normal iron storage for childbearing age women.

To study the expression of X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP) and cell apoptosis in vitro model of acute pancreatitis (AP), we carried out experiments to stimulate AR42J cell line with caerulein (10(-8) mol/L) for 12 hours, then collected cells at various time points (0 h, 4 h, 8 h, 12 h, and 24 h, respectively). We then observed the morphologic changes of AR42J cells with the stimulation of caerulein with electronic microscope. The gene expression of XIAP, caspase-3 and caspase-9 was detected using real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (FQ-PCR), and the protein expression of XIAP was assessed by western blot. The activation of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kappaB) was measured by flow cytometry (FCM). With the stimulation of caerulein, the expression of XIAP and the NF-kappaB activation could first decrease and then increase, but the change of caspase-3 and caspase-9 expressions were opposite. XIAP may inhibit the cell apoptosis in rat pancreatic acinus AR42J cell lines at first with the stimulation of caerulein, then NF-kappaB can upgrade the expression of XIAP and increase the cell apoptosis.
