In order to decrease the reflection coefficient of underwater platform and promote its stealth performance, a method of covering a sound absorbing material on the platform is proposed. The transfer matrix method is used to calculate the reflection and transmission coefficients of composite structure in underwater platform in the case of oblique incidence of sound waves. The influences of the arranging sequence and parameters of sound absorbing materials on the acoustic characteristics of underwater platform are analyzed. The results show that the reflection coefficient of platform without sound absorbing material is close to 1; the constant reflection coefficient curve of the platform with sound absorbing material is a hyperbolic curve as the functions of incident angle and frequency, and its reflection coefficient obviously descreases at high frequency. This shows the frequency selectivity in the absorbing performance of platform, and the absorption wave band of platform transfers to lower frequencies by increasing the thickness of sound absorbing material. When the loss coefficient of material raises, the reflection coefficient of platform goes down. The experimental results coincides well with the theoretically calculated results. In lighting of the problem about illuminant reflection regions being found in a birdview image and it leading to performance degradation of the navigation system, an algorithm of illuminant reflection detection and segmentation is proposed. The illuminant reflection regions in a birdview image are analyzed in HSV color space. It is found that the saturation components of the image regions are small while brightness components are large and brightness values decrease from central positions to marginal positions. And then illuminant reflection is detected and segmented based on these image features. Finally, experiments are run to testify the algorithm, and the experimental results show that the performance of algorithm is reasonable. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A design scheme of micro-electro-mechanical system ( MEMS) tunable capacitor with comb structure is proposed. Simulation design was implemented in terms of structure, electrical properties and process. FEM simulation indicates that, for the tunable capacitor, the capacitance tuning ratio is 3.45: 1, the tuning range is 88. 16 ~ 392. 19 fF at 67 V drive voltage, the resonant frequency is 36 GHz, Q factor is 223 (1 GHz), and the reflection attenuation is 0. 002 25 dB, insertion loss is 42. 75 dB, respectively. A physical model of frequency stabilization process of gyro is established based on the analysis of the operating principle of frequency stabilization servo system and the study of actual operating conditions of the system in total reflection prism laser gyro. The law of the distribution change of temperature gradient field in cavity with the servo system control in the control process of mode jump is obtained by using finite element method. The relationship between the number of longitudinal mode jumping and frequency stabilization servo parameters is derived. Finally, the experiments are designed to verify the best servo parameters by calculation. The experimental results show that the theoretical analysis is valid. This study is vital to insure the stable operation of servo system for laser gyro, and the results are useful to improve the control precision of digital circuits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To analyze the factors that affect polarization properties of the reflected radiation of rough surfaces and the reflected radiation distribution above the object surface, a general expression of the degree of polarization of object's reflected radiation has been deduced based on the model of polarized bi-directional reflectivity distribution function. Having the derived general expression, we calculated the degree of polarization of different painted surfaces with the consideration of surface diffuse and specular reflection components. Also the polarization distribution under different surface's roughness and complex index of refraction was investigated. A simulator had been developed in the system lever to support high-speed and high-resolution scanning imaging to target. The simulation was implemented by modelling the beam-splitting emitted laser pulse, the optical signals received on the linear array detector cell, different kinds of signal processing algorithms, atmospheric effects, and the bidirectional reflectance distribution function for the reflection properties. The linear array detection principle, imaging scheme based on fixed window imaging to tank target and effect analysis were realized using various parameters in the simulator. Simulation results showed that the linear array detection applied to imaging fuze can produce the simulated 3D range and intensity images with a feature of multiple stripes pattern and effectively avoid a loss of time-efficiency while maintaining an anticipant identification probability. Complex wave-optics scattering phenomenon exists on the surfaces of the weak scatterers. With the increase of the incidence angle, the light scattering from such a surface varies from directional diffuse scattering to mirror reflection, while the magnitude of mirror reflections varies with the wavelengths. To study the phenomenon, a broad-hand gonioreflectometer was used to measure the bidirectional reflectance distribution functions (BRDFs) of two weak scatterer at various wavelengths: on the other hand, a stylus profilometer was used 1o obtain the surface height data and, furthermore, the statistical characteristics of the rough surfaces. A wave optics BRDF model was fitted to the measured data with Quasi-Newton optimization algorithm, and accurately predicted the correlation of the scattered light with the angles and the wavelengths. By comparing the fitting results and the measured data, we prove that the phenomena can be predicted accurately with the wave-optics based model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
