Strata division with well logging utilizes the abrupt changing points or regions of signals, while the changing law of the wavelet modulus maxima under different scales can exactly describe the position and modality of the changing points. Based on the idea of reconstruction of wavelet modulus maxima, the well logging data fusion method built on the multiscale edge detection principle is put forward and is applied to the quantitative demarcation of sequence stratigraphy. For case study, single logging curve and multiscale fusion curve in well A in Shengtuo Oilfield are processed by quadric spline wavelet and thereby sequence boundaries on different scales can be detected. The result shows: by demarcating sequence stratigraphic units with the multiscale fusion curve analysis, better effect could be obtained. The energy accumulation and distribution on the wavelet time-frequency graph could clearly reflect the boundaries and cycle types of parasequences and parasequence sets. All these researches provide a completely new method for the quantitative demarcation of sequence and its inner depositional features. The Huangqikou Formation, the first sedimentary cover over the ancient crystalline basement of Helan Mountains, is subject to controversy over the issue of its age. By using the method of LA-ICP -MS, the U-Pb date of detrital zircons from dark-gray glauconite-bearing fine quartz sandstones in the Huangqikou Formation of Baisikou Section, Yinchuan was carried out. The results showed that the zircon particles were mostly ellipsoidal, followed by short prismatic, subrounded and subangular in shape, with particle sizes ranging from 40 to 130 µm. Zircons are mostly magmatic origin with concussive annulus structures. The Th/U ratio of zircon ranges from 0.12 to 1.81, most of which are larger than 0.40, most of thezircons are magmatic origin with oscillatory zoning structure, and part of them may be affected by metamorphic events; the age of 207Pb/206Pb data ranges from 1 680 to 2 606 Ma, with the apparent main peak of 1 890 Ma and several other secondary peak(2 345, 2 514 and 2 576 Ma) in the age spectrum. The age of the youngest detrital zircon was(1 680+ 40) Ma. The analysis of the age peaks and composition of detrital zircon shows that: the zircon age of 2 700-2 450, 2 040-1 950, 1 950-1 800, 1 800-1 680 Ma correspond to the Neo-Carcinogenic event of the North China Craton, the formation of the Neogene continental arc granitoids in the study area, the formation of the Western North China Block due to the collision between the Yinshan Block and the Ordos Block, and the Middle Proterozoic basement ascendant and intracontinental rift events of the North China Craton. The Huangqikou Formation belongs to Middle Proterozoic Changcheng System; the khondalite series in the northern margin of the North China Craton is the main provenance, and the continental crust material and the Taihang-Lyuliang basic dyke in Late Neoarchean(about 2 500 Ma) are the secondary source areas. The Xiong'er Aulacogen has always been the focus of research on Mesoproterozoic-Neoproteror zoic strata in the North China Craton. By using the LA-ICP-MS method, this study focuses on U-Pb ages of detrital zircons from Yunmengshan Formation of Ruyang Group in Daimeishan of Henan. The harmonic-near harmonics and ages of the 80 zircons are obtained by using the LA-ICP-MS method. Results show that the detrital zircon ages of Yunmengshan Formation range from 1 700 to 2 724 Ma, the youngest being (1 700 ± 55)Ma and the main peak age is 2 083 Ma, the secondary peak age being 1 771 and 2 512 Ma. The lower age of Yunmengshan Formation is about 1 700 Ma. The provenance mainly comes from the rocks in the Early Mesoproterozoic or Paleoproterozoic, and the provenance from 2. 40 to 1.95 Ga is more. The peak age of deitrital zircons in this group of samples has a good response to the Precambrian geological events in North China Craton, corresponding to important geological events from Late Paleoproterozoic to Early Mesoproterozoic in North China Craton Basin. Background: Erlotinib has been used widely in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and a portion of patients can gain remarkable benefit. This aim of the study is to evaluate the response and the side effects of Erlotinib as the treatment in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)., Methods: Total 14 NSCLC(IIIb or IV stage)patients, treated from June 2007 to July 2008, were enrolled in our study. Erlotinib was prescribed on the oral dose of 150 mg daily. The treatment response and side-effects were recorded. Patients were followed up. Kaplan-Meier method was used to perform survival analysis., Results: Forty-two NSCLC patients were enrolled into the study and followed up until July 10, 2009. The median follow-up period was 16 months and the follow-up ratio was 100%. CR, PR, SD, PD were achieved 2.4% (1/42), 35.8% (15/42), 47.6% (20/42) and 14.3% (6/42), respectively. Disease control rate (DCR) was reported by 85.7%. Median time to progression and median overall survival period were 7 and 12.2 months, respectively. One year progression-free survival rate and 1-year overall survival rate were 29% and 55%, respectively. Adverse events included acneiform rash 78.6% (33/42), diarrhea 35.7% (15/42), hepatic dysfunction 7.1% (3/42) and acute interstitial lung disease 2.4% (1/42)., Conclusions: Erlotinib is an effective therapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with acceptable side effects.
