The pursuit of lead-free ceramic capacitors with superior energy storage properties has garnered increasing attention. Herein, 0.7Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 TiO 3 -0.3SrTiO 3 - x La (BNT-ST- x La) ceramics were synthesized via citrate combustion technology. The results show that La doped BNT-ST induces dielectric relaxation behavior and promotes the formation of nanoscale domains, which has been confirmed by PFM and TEM, and slim hysteresis loops are realized as addition of La. The recoverable energy-storage density (W re of 2.05 J/cm3) and efficiency (η of 82 %) are obtained in 4 mol% La doped ceramic under relatively low electric field of 170 kV/cm. The energy-storage performances of the ceramics show excellent frequency stability (W re varies <1.9 % and η varies <3.1 % at 5 Hz–100 Hz) and thermal stability (W re varies <1 % and η varies <6.1 % within 23 °C to 73 °C). To quantitatively investigate the longitudinal computed tomography perfusion (CTP) imaging in meningiomas preoperatively embolized using microcatheters. This retrospective monocentric study included 27 patients with symptomatic supratentorial meningiomas. Quantitative computed tomography perfusion (CTP) images before and postembolization were evaluated and correlated with angiographic, immunohistochemical, and clinical data. The mean age of the patients was 45 ± 18 years, with a female-to-male ratio of 1.45:1. After embolization, both the embolized (Eb) and unembolized (UEb) regions showed hypoperfusion. A steady state was achieved on days 4–6 postembolization, during which differences in regional cerebral blood volume (rCBV) (Eb 0.5 ± 0.3 ml/100 mg, UEb 3.3 ± 1.4 ml/100 mg; P < 0.05), and mean transit time (MTT) (Eb 3.5 ± 1.8 s, UEb 3.1 ± 0.4 s) were observed. The cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and time to the peak (TTP) exhibited opposite patterns between Eb and UEb. A steady state was reached in rCBF (Eb 1.7 ± 1.2 ml/100 g/min, UEb 30 ± 5.4 ml/100 g/min; P < 0.01), and TTP (Eb 5 ± 4.8 s, UEb 1.8 ± 1.5 s; P < 0.01) within 4 to 6 days. Estimated blood loss (EBL) showed significant association with the surgical time interval among the 3 groups (P < 0.05). Tissue necrosis predominated over 7 days postembolization, indicating a correlation with the devascularization process. The overall incidence of postembolized headache, seizures, extremity weakness/paralysis, and postoperational headache was 11.1%, 7.4%, 3.7%; and 7.4%, respectively. All symptoms resolved by the last follow-up (3 months). Preoperative embolization of meningiomas using N-butyl cyanoacrylate effectively induced significant and sustained tissue transformation and decreased estimated blood loss (EBL) over 7 days. Organophosphorus flame retardants (OPFRs) can damage the brain and may cause abnormal behaviors. There was no population-based study to reveal the relationship between OPFRs and the occurrence of depression. This study utilized a publicly available database to investigate the correlation between OPFRs exposure and the risk of depression, and the mediation effect of inflammation on the correlation. Data in this study was from the database of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Multifactorial logistic regression was used to estimate the relationship between OPFRs exposure and the risk of depression, and a mediation effect model was constructed to explore the impact of inflammation on the correlation. Data of 1273 participants was included in the study. It was found that individuals with high urinary concentration of bis-(2-chloroethyl) phosphate had an increased risk of developing depression (OR = 1.217, 95 % CI: 1.032–1.435). Combined exposure to OPFRs was significantly associated with the increased risk of depression than single OPFRs exposure. Subgroup analyses based on inflammatory levels in the body revealed that inflammation might exert the mediation effect on the association between OPFRs exposure and the risk of depression, with the contribution proportion of 8.23 %. Cross-sectional data and rapid metabolism of OPFRs lead to uncertainty in revealing long-term exposure in the body. The dissociation of the hydrogen molecule is rarely explored in the high-temperature flow of modern and historic nuclear thermal propulsion (NTP) engines. This study investigates the impact of absorption on highly-enriched and low-enriched uranium NTP reactors due to hydrogen dissociation surface reactions. Results show that with increasing temperature, dissociated hydrogen has a decreasing wall coverage but a significant crossflow velocity, as high as 81 mm/s, near the outlet due to absorption. This absorption changes the turbulent velocity profile while only having a small effect on the local Stanton number. Changing velocity profiles and mass loss to the wall can change mass flow rates, altering engine performance. Calculation and modeling via analytical solutions are unlikely as similar studies show non-uniqueness and existence issues at this study's R e w = 1.43. Follow-on computational fluid dynamic modeling is needed to fully capture the performance changes to the NTP engine. The petrogenesis of basaltic arc lavas with heavy Mo isotopic compositions is controversial. Given that oceanic crust preferentially loses isotopically heavy Mo during subduction at forearc depth and the remaining Mo is isotopically light and locked in rutile, fluids derived from such crust at subarc depth cannot account for the heavy Mo isotopic compositions of basaltic arc lavas. Serpentinites can contain substantial Mo and volatiles and are a potential source of isotopically heavy Mo in basaltic arc lavas. However, the Mo isotopic composition of serpentinites and the Mo isotope behavior during serpentinite dehydration are poorly constrained. Here, we present Mo contents and isotope data for serpentinites from the South Sandwich Trench-Fracture Zone intersection, and deserpentinized peridotites and high-pressure meta-serpentinite veins from the western-central Alps and Betic Cordillera, Spain. Most of these samples have heavy Mo isotopic compositions (δ98/95Mo NIST 3134 , ranging from −0.26 ‰ to 1.84 ‰) with low Ce/Mo (0.10–23.98) and Ce/Pb (0.17–3.59) ratios, which are distinct from the compositions of eclogite-facies metabasalts and metapelites. In addition, no systematic variations in Mo contents and Mo isotopic compositions occur for the studied samples, indicating limited Mo isotope fractionation during serpentinite dehydration. The above results suggest that serpentinites and their derived fluids at subarc depths can serve as the main isotopically heavy Mo sources for basaltic arc lavas. The Mo isotope data with Ce/Mo and Ce/Pb systematics suggest that serpentinite-derived fluids or melting of serpentinite diapirs at subarc depths can explain the heavy Mo isotopic compositions of basaltic arc lavas. Furthermore, recycled oceanic slab (oceanic crust + serpentinized mantle) would has limited influence on the Mo systematics of the mantle, which explains why the mantle has maintained a nearly constant Mo isotopic composition since 3.5 Ga. Neurobiological heterogeneity in depression remains largely unknown, leading to inconsistent neuroimaging findings. Here, we adopted a novel proposed machine learning method ground on gray matter volumes (GMVs) to investigate neuroanatomical subtypes of first-episode treatment-naïve depression. GMVs were obtained from high-resolution T1-weighted images of 195 patients with first-episode, treatment-naïve depression and 78 matched healthy controls (HCs). Then we explored distinct subtypes of depression by employing heterogeneity through discriminative analysis (HYDRA) with regional GMVs as features. Two prominently divergent subtypes of first-episode depression were identified, exhibiting opposite structural alterations compared with HCs but no different demographic features. Subtype 1 presented widespread increased GMVs mainly located in frontal, parietal, temporal cortex and partially located in limbic system. Subtype 2 presented widespread decreased GMVs mainly located in thalamus, cerebellum, limbic system and partially located in frontal, parietal, temporal cortex. Subtype 2 had smaller TIV and longer illness duration than Subtype 1. And TIV in Subtype 1 was positively correlated with age of onset while not in Subtype 2, probably implying the different potential neuropathological mechanisms. Despite results obtained in this study were validated by employing another brain atlas, the conclusions were acquired from a single dataset. As a potential treatment strategy for low immunogenic triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), photodynamic therapy (PDT) induced antitumor immunotherapy is greatly limited by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (ITM), especially the M2 phenotype tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs). The balance of arginine metabolism plays an important role in TAMs polarization. Herein, a multifunctional nanoplatform (defined as HN-HFPA) was employed to burst the anti-tumor immunity of TNBC post PDT by reeducating TAMs through interfering the TAMs-associated arginine metabolism. The L -arginine (L -Arg) was loaded in the hollow cavity of HN-HFPA, which could not only generate nitric oxide (NO) for tumor therapy, but also serve as a substrate of arginine metabolism pathway. As an inhibitor of arginases-1 (Arg-1) of M2 TAMs, L -norvaline (L -Nor) was modified to the hyaluronic acid (HA), and coated in the surface of HFPA. After degradation of HA by hyaluronidase in tumor tissue and GSH-mediated disintegration, HN-HFPA depleted intracellular GSH, produced remarkable reactive oxygen species (ROS) under light irradiation and released L -Arg to generate NO, which induced tumor immunogenic cell death (ICD). Real-time ultrasound imaging of tumor was realized taking advantage of the gas feature of NO. The L -Nor suppressed the Arg-1 overexpressed in M2, which skewed the balance of arginine metabolism and reversed the ITM with increased ratios of M1 and CD8+ T cells, finally resulted in amplified antitumor immune response and apparent tumor metastasis inhibition. This study remodeled ITM to strengthen immune response post PDT, which provided a promising treatment strategy for TNBC. People with schizophrenia are at a greater risk of poor physical health than the general population. This study investigated the annual incidence of physical illnesses after a new schizophrenia diagnosis, which has rarely been investigated in the literature. The authors collected data from Taiwan's National Health Insurance Research Database from January 1, 1996, to December 31, 2013, and enrolled 1910 patients with newly diagnosed schizophrenia cases aged 10–40 years and 7640 age- and sex-matched controls from the general population. They estimated the 1-year prevalence and annual incidence rate ratio (IRR) of specified physical diseases across 3 years in the schizophrenia group compared with the controls. Several physical illnesses were prevalent within 1 year of schizophrenia diagnosis. Regarding incident physical illnesses, patients had a moderate to strong risk of numerous physical illnesses (IRR > 3.0: ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, and cancer; IRR 1.8–3.0: other forms of heart disease, vein and lymphatic diseases, pneumonia, chronic hepatic disease, and ulcer disease) within the first year after schizophrenia diagnosis. The IRRs of most physical illnesses declined over 3 years, except for that of cerebrovascular disease, which significantly increased (IRR > 3.0) over the 3 years after schizophrenia diagnosis. Cerebrovascular disease had a significant incidence risk (IRR > 3) persistently across the 3 years. Various comorbid physical illnesses can occur in the early stages of schizophrenia. Clinicians should consider these vulnerabilities to physical illnesses during the evaluation of patients with newly diagnosed schizophrenia by attempting to prevent, screen for, and manage them. Whether static and dynamic balances can be impaired with increasing core temperature in female participants remains unknown. We tested the hypothesis that static and dynamic balances can be further impaired with systematic increases of core temperature by Δ1 °C and Δ 2 °C using whole-body passive heating. Eighteen female participants underwent a control trial (Con) and two progressive passive heating trials with Δ 1 °C and Δ 2 °C increase of oral temperature (T Oral) using 45 °C water bath. In each trial, we assessed static balance with both eye open and closed and assessed dynamic balance using obstacle crossing at 10 %, 20 % and 30 % of the participant's leg length. Static balance was not different between Con and Δ1 °C but was different between Δ1 °C and Δ 2 °C in an eye closed condition. Furthermore, Δ 2 °C greatly impaired both static and dynamic balances when compared to Con. The joint angles and toe clearance increased while leading heel-obstacle distance decreased during crossing obstacles at the height of 20 % and 30 % leg length with leading limbs in the Δ2 °C compared to Δ 1 °C and Con (All P < 0.05). However, no differences in joint kinematics and toe clearance with trailing limbs were observed (All P > 0.05). In female participants, static and dynamic balances only became impaired when T Oral increased 2 °C from baseline. • Rising oral temperature (T Oral) by 2 °C impairs both static and dynamic balance in female. • Visual feedback can maintain static balance when T Oral is below 1 °C. • Visual feedback can maintain dynamic balance at the lower level of balance task. High levels of circulating catecholamines cause cardiac injury, pathological remodeling, and heart failure, but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here we provide both in vitro and in vivo evidence that excessive β-adrenergic stimulation induces ferroptosis in cardiomyocytes, revealing a novel mechanism for catecholamine-induced cardiotoxicity and remodeling. We found that isoproterenol, a synthetic catecholamine, promoted glutathione depletion and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) degradation in cardiomyocytes, leading to GPX4 inactivation and enhanced lipid peroxidation. Isoproterenol also promoted heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) expression by downregulating the transcription suppressor BTB and CNC homology 1 (Bach1), leading to increased labile iron accumulation through heme degradation. Moreover, isoproterenol markedly induced the accumulation of free iron and lipid reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the mitochondria, while targeted inhibition of iron overload and ROS accumulation within mitochondria effectively inhibited ferroptosis in cardiomyocytes. Importantly, isoproterenol administration markedly induced ferroptosis in the myocardium in vivo, associated with elevated non-heme iron accumulation driven by HO-1 upregulation. Strikingly, blockade of ferroptosis with ferrostatin-1 or inhibition of HO-1 activity with zinc protoporphyrin (ZnPP) effectively alleviated cardiac necrosis, pathological remodeling, and heart failure induced by isoproterenol administration. Taken together, our results reveal that catecholamine stimulation primarily induces ferroptotic cell death in cardiomyocyte through GPX4 and Bach1-HO-1 dependent signaling pathways. Sexual orientation microaggressions (SOMs) may negatively affect lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) individuals' mental health. However, the moderating effects of gender nonconformity and biological sex on the relationship between SOMs and anxiety and depressive symptoms has never been examined. We evaluated the moderating effect of gender nonconformity on the association of SOMs with anxiety and depressive symptoms among LGB young male and female adults. We hypothesized that the associations of SOMs with anxiety and depressive symptoms weakened with increasing gender nonconformity among gay and bisexual men but strengthened with increasing gender nonconformity among lesbian and bisexual women. In total, 1000 self-identified LGB young adult individuals participated in the study. The experience of sexual orientation microaggression was assessed using the Sexual Orientation Microaggression Inventory, anxiety was assessed using the State subscale on the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and depression was assessed using the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale. The two-way moderation models stratified by sex examined the moderating effects of gender nonconformity on the association between SOMs and anxiety symptoms in the male and female participants. The three-way moderated moderation models were used to determine whether gender nonconformity and sex jointly moderated the associations between SOMs and anxiety and depressive symptoms. In the two-way moderation models stratified by sex, gender nonconformity exerted opposite moderating effects on the association between SOMs and anxiety and depressive symptoms in the male and female participants. For the male participants, the association between SOMs and anxiety (β = −0.08) and depressive symptoms (β = −0.09) weakened with increasing gender nonconformity. For the female participants, the association between SOMs and anxiety (β = 0.08) and depressive symptoms (β = 0.13) strengthened with increasing gender nonconformity. The three-way moderated moderation models further confirmed that sex moderated the moderating effects of gender nonconformity on the associations between SOM and anxiety (β = −0.16, p =.047) and depressive symptoms (β = −0.22, p <.001). The cross-sectional study design limited the inferences that could be made concerning the temporal relationship between SOMs and mental health problems. Serpentinites in subduction zones are important fluid reservoirs for crust-mantle interaction and arc magma formation. The serpentinite-derived fluids can carry fluid-mobile elements such as Ba and potentially affect the geochemical composition of the metamorphic rocks in the subduction zones. However, the Ba isotope behavior during interaction between serpentinite-derived fluids and metamorphic rocks is still poorly understood. The whiteschists of the Dora-Maira Massif in the Western Alps have experienced fluid infiltration by serpentinite-derived fluids during deep subduction. Here we report the Ba isotope data of the whiteschist and its protolith metagranite to investigate the Ba isotope behavior during fluid-rock interaction. The metagranites, which have experienced ultrahigh-pressure metamorphism, have a small variation of δ138Ba (−0.25 to 0.26‰), while the whiteschists display a large Ba isotope variation from −0.99‰ to 0.48‰. Such a large variation in whiteschists cannot be explained by chemical weathering, protolith heterogeneity, or kinetic effects. Instead, considering the negative correlations of δ138Ba with Ba and other fluid-mobile elements (e.g., Sr, Cs, Zn, and Cu) and the geochemical composition features of serpentinite-derived fluids, the large Ba isotope variation in whiteschists is inferred to be induced by the interaction between serpentinite-derived fluid and metagranite during intense fluid infiltration. This is consistent with the observation that the whiteschists with low Ba contents tend to exhibit heavier Mg-Fe isotope compositions but lighter Li isotope compositions, which indicates that the related fluids were derived from the dehydration of mantle wedge serpentinite. The fluid infiltrating process is well explained by a numerical model with high fluid-rock ratios of 4 to 12. Our modeling further suggests that serpentinite-derived fluid has a distinctly higher δ138Ba value than the depleted upper mantle. During fluid-rock interaction, heavy Ba isotopes prefer to be infiltrated into fluids with an apparent fractionation factor (Δ138Ba rock-fluid) of mostly −0.5‰ to −0.1‰ but can be down to −0.8‰ to −0.7‰ required for a few samples. A two-stage dehydration and metasomatism model at different depths can well explain the formation of Dora-Maira whiteschists. Whereas the Ba isotope composition of mantle wedge serpentinite is mainly dictated by crust-derived fluids from the subducting slab, an interaction between the serpentinite-derived fluids and the metagranite protolith resulted in a large Ba isotope variation of whiteschists. In case of a general involvement of serpentinites in subduction zones, serpentinite-derived fluids would significantly affect the Ba isotope compositions of subarc mantle peridotites and also arc lavas. Ion thrusters have acquired extensive applications in the space industry with their advantages of high efficiency, high specific impulse, and long lifetime. To operate a radio-frequency (RF) ion thruster successfully, a high-frequency current must be generated to facilitate the discharge of inductively coupled plasma. In this study, with support of trial and error, it is discovered that the thrust performance of an RF ion thruster depends on not only the RF power but also on other critical parameters, such as the propellant flow rate, ion grids voltages, and RF input power. A surrogate model, namely – the Kriging model, is employed to simplify the estimation and optimization of thrust performance. The thrust and specific impulse are selected to be the crucial metrics for used Kriging models for categorizing all types of propulsions. On the basis of Kriging model simulations, the designed RF ion thruster can achieve a thrust of 1.9 mN, a specific impulse of 1649.5 s, and a thrust efficiency of 48% under a propellant flow rate of 4 sccm, grids' voltage difference of 2500 V, and an RF input power of 40 W. • Kriging model was to simplify the optimization of radio-frequency ion thrust performance. • Thrust performance of RIT depends on the radio-frequency power and other parameters. • The optimal RIT can achieve a thrust of 1.9 mN and a specific impulse of 1649.5 s. • The resulting thrust efficiency fulfills 48% under a propellant flow rate of 4 sccm. • We propose Spatial-Frequency feature encoder for pose estimation. • An evolving attention module is used to solve the environment-sensitive issue of Wifi. • We contribute the benchmark for Wifi-based 2D human pose estimation. Camera-based human pose estimation has become popular due to its wide applications and easy implementation. However, it is not applicable under several circumstances such as poor illumination, occlusion, and private protection. In this work, we utilize Wifi signals to estimate 2D human poses, which is challenging because Wifi signals are abstract and contain limited information. To address these challenges, we develop an evolving attentive spatial-frequency network to discover the relationship between signal variation and body movement for Wifi-based 2D human pose estimation. By first taking dilated CSI sequences as inputs, a spatial-frequency encoder is then introduced to effectively integrate static spatial information and dynamic frequency information from CSI signals. Finally, we design an evolving attention module to enable our model to attend to certain channels of features. Due to a lack of benchmarks, we propose two Wifi-based human pose estimation datasets, the General Pose Estimation dataset (GPE) and Specific Pose Estimation dataset (SPE), which have been released as a public download at project page. Extensive experiments on the proposed datasets show that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art method by at least 16% in terms of P C K @ 20 (percentage of correct keypoints). Family-centered workshops' effects on children with language developmental delay remain unknown. This study assessed the feasibility of workshops for children with language developmental delay. A total of 122 children aged 18-36 months with language developmental delays and their parents participated in six sessions of 2-h family-centered multidisciplinary workshops for 6 weeks. The Mandarin-Chinese Communicative Development Inventory, Peabody Developmental Motor Scale, Emotional Competency Rating Scales, Pediatric Outcomes Data Collection Instrument, Child Health Questionnaire, Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory, Caregiver Strain Index, Impact on Family Scale, PedsQL Family Impact Module, and World Health Organization Quality of Life (QOL) were administered to the children and their parents before and after the workshop. We found improvement of emotion (P = 0.037), upper extremity and physical function (P = 0.038), and transfer and basic mobility (P = 0.019) in children and parental QOL related to children's conditions (P = 0.049), with no effect on communication ability and QOL in children and family strain and function. We also noted more significant improvement in children with pure developmental language delay than in children with nonpure developmental language delay concerning the success rates (from delayed to normal development) for expressive vocabulary (P < 0.001) and word combination (P = 0.002). Satisfaction levels toward the workshop were high. Family-centered workshops improved children's emotions, functional performance, and parental QOL. Although the samples were too small to test different conditions of the developmental delay, the workshops for children with language developmental delays are acceptable and feasible. The etiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is extremely complex and related to an excessive immune response that results in the pathologically release of reactive oxygen species (ROS) via tissue injury and chronic inflammation. Generally, excessive ROS production is one of the essential mediators for inflammatory pathogenesis. Targeting cumulate ROS to interrupt pathological inflammatory responses has been recognized as a feasible strategy for inflammatory suppression of IBD. Correspondingly, the overexpression of ROS can also trigger the drug release of novel drug delivery systems to alleviate IBD symptoms. In this review, we summarized the pathological production of endogenous ROS in IBD, discussed the enormous potential of multiple kinds of ROS-scavenging and ROS-triggering novel delivery systems for the treatment of IBD, including enzymology, metal, polyphenols, natural pigments, nitroxide radicals-contained and sulfide-loaded drug delivery systems, and other novel ROS-responsive materials to synthesize ROS-based drug delivery systems. We also summarized the immunomodulatory effects of ROS-targeted drug delivery systems for the treatment of IBD. Besides, based on the requirements of clinical applications and industrialization development, the challenges faced in the evolution of redox drug delivery systems were also discussed. Collectively, this review provides a reliable reference to the development of ROS-scavenging and ROS-triggering drug delivery systems for the medical intervention of IBD. This paper correlated the Meniere attack with meteorological parameters i.e. atmospheric pressure, temperature, relative humidity and rainfall, to investigate which parameters that trigger the Meniere attack. During the past three years, totally 283 (2015), 351 (2016) and 319 (2017) patients with Meniere's disease (MD) were encountered at a clinic of the university hospital, accounting for 13%, 17% and 16% incidence in relation to overall annual neurotological cases, respectively. The onset of Meniere attack was then correlated with meteorological parameters. The mean seasonal incidence of Meniere attack in relation to overall seasonal neurotological cases in 2015-2017 were 14.8 ± 2.8% (spring), 17.5 ± 2.2% (summer), 16.0 ± 1.8 % (autumn) and 12.8 ± 2.0% (winter), indicating that summer season had a higher incidence of Meniere attacks than winter season. Onset of Meniere attacks correlated significantly with the atmospheric pressure (r = -0.4484, p = 0.0061) and temperature (r = 0.4736, p = 0.0035), and the atmospheric pressure was highly negatively correlated with the temperature (r = -0.9421, p < 0.0001). In contrast, no correlation was identified between the onset of Meniere attacks and relative humidity or rainfall. The atmospheric pressure in the same month with typhoon compared with that without typhoon revealed a median reduction of 13.1 hectopascal. Atmospheric pressure and temperature are correlated with the onset of Meniere attack. Summer season has a higher incidence of Meniere attack than winter season, likely because low atmospheric pressure in summer may aggravate endolymphatic hydrops, especially when accompanied by typhoons in the northwest Pacific region. To evaluate the feasibility and value of deformable image registration (DIR) in calculating the cumulative doses of organs at risk (OARs) in the combined radiotherapy of cervical cancer. Thirty cervical cancer patients treated with external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) combined with intracavitary brachytherapy (ICBT) were reviewed. The simulation CT images of EBRT and ICBT were imported into Varian Velocity 4.1 for the DIR-based dose accumulation. Cumulative dose-volume parameters of D2cc for rectum and bladder were compared between the direct addition (DA) and DIR methods. The quantitative parameters were measured to evaluate the accuracy of DIR. The three-dimensional cumulative dose distribution of the tumor and OARs were graphically well illustrated by composite isodose lines. In combined EBRT and ICBT, the mean cumulative bladder D2cc calculated by DIR and DA was 86.13 Gy and 86.27 Gy, respectively. The mean cumulative rectal D2cc calculated by DIR and DA was 72.97 Gy and 73.90 Gy, respectively. No significant differences were noted between these two methods (p > 0.05). As to the parameters used to evaluate the DIR accuracy, the mean DSC, Jacobian, MDA (mm) and Hausdorff distance (mm) were 0.79, 1.0, 3.84, and 22.01 respectively for the bladder and 0.53, 1.2, 7.31, and 29.58 respectively for the rectum. In this study, the DSC seemed to be slightly lower compared with previous studies. Dose accumulation based on DIR might be an alternative method to illustrate and evaluate the cumulative doses of the OARs in combined radiotherapy for cervical cancer. Compared with MR plain scanning, gadolinium (Gd)-enhanced MR scanning can provide more diagnostic information. Gadopentetate dimeglumine is generally used as an MR enhancement contrast agent in some countries. It is a member of linear Gd-based contrast agents (GBCAs) which are considered more likely to release free Gd ions (Gd3+) than macrocyclic GBCAs. Gd3+ is one of the most effective known calcium antagonists, and can compete with calcium ions (Ca2+) in Ca2+-related biological reactions. In this study, animal models of tissue regeneration were established by cutting the caudal fins of zebrafish, and the models were exposed with gadopentetate dimeglumine solution for different immersion times of 1, 3, and 5 min. Three GBCA exposures per week were performed in the first 3 weeks of the follow-up time. Morphological parameters such as regenerative area (RA), bone density, bone thickness and regenerative bone volume (RBV) were quantified using a camera and synchrotron radiation micro CT. RA decreased as total Gd intake increased in both the female group (ρ = −0.784, P < 0.0001) and the male group (ρ = −0.471, P = 0.011). The bone density of the regenerated bone increased after Gd exposure in the treated groups. The morphology of the regenerated bone from the treated groups became shorter and thicker. Intensive blood pressure (BP) lowering in patients with hypertension has been associated with a lowered risk of atrial fibrillation (AF). It is still uncertain what is the optimal BP levels to prevent AF in the general elderly population. In the present prospective study, we investigated the association between incident AF and BP in an elderly Chinese population. Elderly (≥65 years) residents were recruited from 6 communities in Shanghai. 9019 participants who did not have AF at baseline and had at least one ECG recording during follow-up were included in the present analysis. During a median of 3.5 years follow-up, the overall incidence rate of AF was 5.6 per 1000 person-years (n = 178). Systolic BP was associated with increased AF risk (age- and sex-adjusted hazard ratio [HR] per 20-mmHg increase for systolic BP 1.21, 95% CI 1.04–1.39, P = 0.01), but risk estimate was attenuated after adjustment for common AF risk factors. In categorical analyses, statistical significance was achieved for HR relative to optimal BP only in stage 2 or 3 systolic and diastolic hypertension (multivariate-adjusted HR 1.76, 95% CI 1.00–3.08, P = 0.05). The association between AF incidence and BP status tended to be stronger in the absence than presence of a history of cardiovascular disease at baseline (P for interaction = 0.06). In this Chinese population of 65 years and older, linear increases in systolic and diastolic BP were not independently associated with increased risk of AF, and only exposure to stage 2 or 3 hypertension carries a higher risk of AF. • Linear increases of BP were not independently associated with increased risk of AF. • Only stage 2 or 3 hypertension carries a higher risk of AF. • Stringent BP control may be more useful in younger patients to prevent AF. Plasma lactate, which is produced by exercising muscle, is believed to have a critical effect on exercise-induced appetite suppression. However, the underlying mechanisms and signaling steps of central lactate metabolism remain unexplored. After central oxamate administration, C57BL/6J male mice performed 10 high-intensity interval running at 90% V max for 4 minutes each, which separated by 2 minutes at 12 m/min. Food intake and the expression of hypothalamic appetite-regulating neuropeptides including proopiomelanocortin (POMC) and neuropeptide Y (NPY) were investigated following exercise training. Janus kinase 2 (Jak2)-signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathway was also determined by Western blot. In addition, hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) was investigated to explore the effect of central lactate metabolism following exercise. We found that central oxamate administration reversed exercise-induced suppression of food intake, and as well as changes in the expression of POMC and NPY. Moreover, acute exercise led to an increase in the phosphorylation of Jak2 and STAT3 in the hypothalamus, while central lactate inhibition significantly blunted this effect. In addition, HIF-1α expression increased obviously after exercise, while it was attenuated by central oxamate administration. Collectively, our data reveal that central lactate metabolism mediates exercise-induced suppression of appetite and changes in neuropeptides, possibly through enhanced Jak2-STAT3 signaling. Serpentinite plays a crucial role in element mobility during seawater hydrothermal alteration of mid-ocean ridge peridotite on the seafloor and fluid metasomatism of peridotite in the subduction zone. However, element mobility and Mg isotope fractionation during serpentinization of peridotites are still uncertain. In order to address this issue, we present a geochemical study of serpentinites and their associated peridotites in the Xigaze ophiolite from southern Tibet. The serpentinites have lower MgO contents and Mg/Si ratios than the peridotites. The low Mg/Si ratios in serpentinites, along with the Isocon calculation results, indicate the Mg loss during serpentinization. In terms of trace elements, the serpentinites have higher contents of Ba, U, Sr and Pb than the peridotites, though both types of ultramafic rocks exhibit similar REE distribution patterns and HFSE contents. The serpentine-magnetite O isotope thermometry yields a relatively low serpentinization temperatures of 200–300 °C. The trace element composition of the serpentinites is distinct from that of forearc serpentinites but consistent with that of mid-ocean ridge ones. The peridotites show mantle-like δ26Mg values of –0.27 to –0.23‰ with an average of –0.25 ± 0.03‰ (2SD, n = 6). In contrast, the serpentinites have systematically higher δ26Mg values of –0.21 to –0.09‰ with an average of –0.16 ± 0.09‰ (2SD, n = 8). The Mg isotope composition of serpentinites shows no correlations with either the chemical weathering proxy or the talc modal content, indicating that the Mg isotope fractionation between serpentinite and peridotite is not caused by chemical weathering of the serpentinites. Instead, it probably resulted from the serpentinization of peridotite on the seafloor. Thus, there is the loss of not only element Mg but also isotopically light Mg during the serpentinization of peridotites. The isotopically heavy Mg serpentinites can be carried to oceanic subduction zones, giving rise to higher δ26Mg mantle sources for various basalts. The isotopically light Mg can be released into the seawater, regulating the Mg isotope composition of seawater in geological history. Taking into account the sources and sinks of Mg in subduction zone fluids, the formation of isotopically heavy Mg serpentinites during seafloor serpentinization can be probably an important process in changing the Mg isotope composition of mantle sources. Penthorum chinense Pursh has been widely used as a Chinese traditional functional food for liver disease prevention and therapy. A novel cold-water soluble polysaccharide (PCP-4) has been prepared from Penthorum chinense Pursh at 4 °C. PCP-4 contained both α and β configurations and mainly consisted of galactose, arabinose, galacturonic acid, rhamnose, and glucose (molar ratio: 6.38:5.26:1.69:1:0.87) with an average molecular weight of 1.83 × 106 Da. In vitro experiments results demonstrated that PCP-4 effectively inhibits the proliferation of H22 cells and blocks cells at S phase in a dose-dependent manner. Otherwise, PCP-4-treated cells exhibited typical morphological features of apoptotic cells. Combined the results from western blot analysis, Annexin V-FITC/PI staining, Rhodamine 123 staining and DCFH-DA staining, PCP-4 was found to induce H22 cell apoptosis in vitro via the mitochondrial signaling pathway. The results of in vivo experiments suggested that PCP-4 significantly suppresses xenograft tumor growth by protecting immune organs, enhancing immune cells functionality, and inducing apoptosis. Background: Convergent studies have demonstrated morphological abnormalities in various brain regions in depression patients. However, the molecular underpinnings of the structural impairments remain largely unknown, despite a pressing need for treatment targets and mechanisms. Here, we investigated the gray matter volume (GMV) alteration in patients with depression and its underlying molecular architecture.Methods: We recruited 195 first-episode, treatment-naïve depression patients and 78 gender-, age-, and education level-matched healthy controls (HCs) who underwent high-resolution T1-weighted magnetic resonance scans. Voxel-based morphometry (VBM) was adopted to calculate the GMV differences between two groups. Then we analyzed the spatial correlation between depression-induced alteration in GMV and density maps of 10 receptors/transporters deriving from prior molecular imaging in healthy people.Results: Compared to HCs, the depression group had significantly increased GMV in the left ventral portions of the ventral medial prefrontal cortex, parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala, the right superior parietal lobule and precuneus while decreased GMV in the bilateral hippocampus extending to the thalamus and cerebellum. The GMV alteration introduced by depression was spatially correlated with serotonin receptors (5-HT1a, 5-HT1b, and 5-HT2a), dopamine receptors (D1 and D2) and GABAergic receptor (GABAa) densities.Limitations: The conclusions drawn in this study were obtained from a single dataset.Conclusions: This study reveals abnormal GMV alteration and provides a series of neurotransmitters receptors possibly related to GMV alteration in depression, which facilitates an integrative understanding of the molecular mechanism underlying the structural abnormalities in depression and may provide clues to new treatment strategies. Background: Evidence of associations between psychological symptoms and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α level is scant, as is evidence on sex differences in associations for children and adolescents with obesity. This study examined sex differences in associations between psychological symptoms (self-concept, anxiety, depression, anger, and disruptive behavior) and TNF-α level in Taiwanese children and adolescents with healthy weight, overweight, or obesity.Methods: In 2010, 564 first, fourth, and seventh graders-comprising 250 children with overweight or obesity (44.3 %), 330 adolescents (58.5 %), and 303 males (53.7 %)-underwent a health examination and blood sampling and completed a questionnaire.Results: A significantly higher TNF-α level was found in children and adolescents with healthy weight than in those with overweight or obesity (median: 14.5 vs. 4.1 (pg/mL); p < 0.001). In multiple linear regression models, anxiety was significantly positively associated with TNF-α level in female participants with healthy weight (β = 0.11 per 10 increments in anxiety, 95 % confidence interval = 0.01-0.22).Limitations: Given the cross-sectional nature of the study, no inferences of causal relationships among TNF-α level, obesity, and psychological symptoms could be made.Conclusions: The findings enrich the literature on the TNF-α-psychological symptom association. Sex differences were found in children and adolescents without obesity rather than in those without obesity, and a higher TNF-α level was associated with increased anxiety in girls without obesity. Cartilage is an important tissue that is widely found in joints, ears, nose and other organs. The limited capacity to regenerate makes cartilage reconstruction an urgent clinical demand. Due to the avascular nature of cartilage, we hypothesized that inhibition of vascularization contributes to cartilage formation. Here, we used VEGFa siRNA to inhibit the infiltration of the local vascular system. Optimized lipid nanoparticles were prepared by microfluidics for the delivery of siRNA. Then, we constructed a tissue engineering scaffold. Both seed cells and VEGFa siRNA-LNPs were loaded in a GELMA hydrogel. Subcutaneous implantation experiments in nude mice indicate that this is a promising strategy for cartilage reconstruction. The regenerated cartilage was superior, with significant upregulation of SOX9, COL-II and ACAN. This is attributed to an environment deficient in oxygen and nutrients, which facilitates cartilage formation by upregulating HIF-1α and FOXO transcription factors. Lunar impact glasses can provide important information on the bulk compositions of their sources and the impact history of the Moon. Here, we report the chemical composition of fifty-four clean glass spherules containing neither relict clasts nor crystals from the Chang'e-5 (CE5) regolith. They can be subdivided into three compositional groups: (1) mid-Ti basaltic (TiO 2 = 4.1 ∼ 6.5 wt%), (2) low-Ti basaltic (TiO 2 = 1.3 ∼ 3.9 wt%), and (3) high-Al (Al 2 O 3 > 15 wt%). Fifty-one glasses (∼94 %) are mid-Ti basaltic, which form a loose compositional cluster for most major and trace elements. These glasses exhibit considerable variations in SiO 2 (35.3 ∼ 45.3 wt%). Their TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , MgO and CaO show negative correlations with SiO 2 , while the Na 2 O, K 2 O and P 2 O 5 positively correlate with SiO 2 , also yielding a positive correlation between the CIPW normative plagioclase and olivine. These variations likely result from differential vaporization of SiO 2 , strongly suggesting an impact origin of these glasses. Their major and trace element compositions are averagely similar to the bulk-rock, in turn indicating that they were formed from the local regolith. The remaining three glasses, including two low-Ti basaltic and one high-Al variety, exhibit distinct major and trace elements from the regolith, indicating an exotic source. In addition, the mid-Ti basaltic glasses provide another approach for estimating the average composition of the CE5 basalt other than directly measuring the small basalt fragments assuming that the exotic materials in the CE5 regolith were limited. This estimation reveals critical trace element characteristics of the CE5 basalt, e.g., it has higher La/Yb (3.71), Sm/Yb (1.76), Sr/Yb (31.6), and (Eu/Eu*) N (0.45) than KREEP, indicating that CE5 basalt must derive from a non-KREEP source. Chemical modeling indicates that the contribution of KREEP-rich materials in the mantle source should be less than 0.3 %. The trace element characteristics of the CE5 basalt can be reproduced by extensive (80 %) fractional crystallization after low-degree (2 %) melting. We propose that this fractional crystallization process might occur at depth, implying vast igneous underplating (7,250 ∼ 11,750 km3) beneath the CE5 landing area. This study also suggests that the high Th concentration (5.43 ppm) is an inherent property of the CE5 basalt resulting from extensive fractional crystallization. Purpose: The objective of this study was to sample the opinions of radiation oncologists and trainees in the United States regarding residency expansion, what action(s) should be taken to limit residency supply, if any, and the proposed Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) changes.Methods and Materials: An online survey was distributed to 1048 attending radiation oncologists by e-mail and approximately 800 residents through their program coordinators. The survey asked respondents to rank how strongly they agreed with certain statements regarding residency supply, possible solutions to address any perceived oversupply, and the proposed ACGME changes on a 1-to-10 disagreement-to-agreement scale. The 16% response rate yielded 294 responses for analysis.Results: Of the respondents, 90 (30%) were residents, and 204 (70%) were attendings, of whom 117 (57%) were academic and 87 (43%) were nonacademic. Eighty-six percent agreed that there is a residency oversupply issue, and 91% agreed that actions should be taken to limit residency expansion. On χ2 test, residents and attendings were similarly likely to agree that there is a residency oversupply issue (93% and 89%, P = .27), although residents were more likely to agree that this oversupply should be acted upon compared with attendings (100% and 88%, P < .01). Regarding possible solutions, respondents were most likely to agree that further expansion should be limited (90%), program requirements should be made more stringent (76%), and the use of the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program should be limited (69%). Proposed ACGME changes that respondents were most likely to agree with included requiring that programs have modern image guidance, stereotactic radiation therapy, and brachytherapy techniques (98%) and have 4+ faculty members and maintain a faculty-to-resident ratio of >1.5:1 (86%). Case log minimums most supported to be increased were 4 uterus (65%) and 11 postmastectomy breast (61%) simulations.Conclusions: The majority of respondents agree that there is a residency oversupply issue and that actions should be taken to limit residency expansion and make program requirements more stringent. Syn-exhumation magmatism in collisional orogens is an important process for crustal differentiation and crust-mantle interaction at convergent plate boundaries. It is intriguing to elucidate which factors control the geochemical composition of such magmatic products. To answer this question, a combined study of whole-rock major-trace elements and Nd-Fe isotopes, mineral O isotopes, and zircon U–Pb ages and trace elements was carried out for syn -exhumation granites from the Sulu ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic belt in east-central China. Several granitic plutons of Triassic age were newly found in this typical collisional orogen, with a total exposure area of ∼10 km2, suggesting large-scale partial melting of the deeply subducted continental crust in the terminal stage of continental collision. Field observations indicate that the massive granites show little deformation. The granites are high-K calc-alkaline and exhibit enrichment in LILE and LREE but depletion in HFSE relative to HREE in trace element distribution patterns. Zircons in these granites contain relict magmatic cores characterized by steep HREE patterns with strong negative Eu anomalies. These cores show middle Neoproterozoic U-Pb ages of 724–779 Ma, consistent with the protolith age of UHP metaigneous rocks in the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt. Zircon rims exhibit oscillatory zoning, and are characterized by Triassic U-Pb ages of 210–216 Ma, low LREE contents and steep HREE patterns with significant negative Eu anomalies, suggesting their growth from granitic magmas during exhumation of the deeply subducted continental crust. The granites have low δ18O values of 2.0–6.1‰ for quartz, 1.1–5.2‰ for whole-rock, and 0.9–3.2‰ for zircon cores. The low δ18O values and Neoproterozoic U-Pb ages of zircon cores in the granites are characteristic feature of the deeply subducted continental crust in the northern margin of the South China Block. One coesite inclusion was found in the anatectic zircon rim, pointing to the deep origin of anatectic melts at a subarc depth of >80 km. Whole-rock SiO 2 contents are correlated with major and trace elements, which are ascribed to crystal fractionation of mainly biotite and plagioclase during magma evolution. In particular, these granites exhibit highly variable δ56Fe values from 0.05 to 0.30‰, which are correlated with Fe3+/ΣFe, SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , Nb/Ta and Eu/Eu*. This suggests that the crystal fractionation of biotite would have controlled the Fe isotope variation in the granites. Therefore, the syn -exhumation granites experienced significant geochemical differentiation mainly through the fractional crystallization during the magma evolution. A compilation of syn -exhumation granites in the typical collisional orogens of the world shows that such granites were mainly formed through dehydration melting of hydrous minerals during decompressional exhumation. They fall into the magnesian group with relatively low REE and HFSE (like Ti, Nb and Zr) contents, distinct from the geochemical compositions of A-type granites. Supraorbital keyhole craniotomy is a minimally invasive approach used to access the parasellar region with advantages of decreased cortical exposure, simple closure, and decreased risk of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leak. The incision of this approach, however, has raised cosmetic concerns, especially for pediatric patients. The aim of this study is to assess postoperative complications and cosmeses of the supraorbital keyhole approach for resection of intracranial lesions in pediatric patients. A literature search of PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases was performed on June 1, 2021, searching for all studies of pediatric patients undergoing supraorbital keyhole craniotomy for surgical resection of lesions in the anterior fossa/sellar region. Of 729 unique hits, 15 supraorbital keyhole studies reporting on 177 pediatric cases were included in the final review. Quality of all included studies was moderate. Overall, the surgery was well tolerated with a low number of severe adverse events. A wide variety of pathologies were treated with this approach. Complications of surgery included changes in vision, epidural hematoma, subdural hematoma, cerebrospinal fluid leak, and wound infection. At 6 weeks of follow-up, surgical scars in most patients were noted to be minimally detectable. At 3–6 months of follow-up, scars were no longer visible. Cosmetic complications included 5 bone defects, 1 split eyebrow, and 1 case of ptosis. This study suggests that supraorbital keyhole craniotomy is a safe and effective approach to access the parasellar region in pediatric patients with excellent cosmetic outcomes reported across multiple institutions. Upcycling of Waste Polycarbonate to Recyclable Poly(carbonate-imines) with Exceptional Thermal Properties and Unprecedented Flame Retardancy. This amine is further reacted with bifunctional aldehydes to form PCIs that not only meet vitrimer criteria (characterized by stress relaxation and thermal reprocessability through imine metathesis) but also demonstrate superior thermal stability (T g up to 228 °C) and low thermal expansion (42 ppm/°C). Importantly, these PCIs achieve a UL-94 V-0 rating and exhibit significantly reduced total heat release (11.8 KJ/g), positioning them as prime candidates for sustainable, high-performance materials. Tuberculous pleural effusion poses a significant threat to human health due to its potential for severe disease and mortality. Without timely treatment, it may lead to fatal consequences. Therefore, early identification and prompt treatment are crucial for preventing problems such as chronic lung disease, respiratory failure, and death. This study proposes an enhanced differential evolution algorithm based on colony predation and dispersed foraging strategies. A series of experiments conducted on the IEEE CEC 2017 competition dataset validated the global optimization capability of the method. Additionally, a binary version of the algorithm is introduced to assess the algorithm's ability to address feature selection problems. Comprehensive comparisons of the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with 8 similar algorithms were conducted using public datasets with feature sizes ranging from 10 to 10,000. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is an effective feature selection approach. Furthermore, a predictive model for tuberculous pleural effusion is established by integrating the proposed algorithm with support vector machines. The performance of the proposed model is validated using clinical records collected from 140 tuberculous pleural effusion patients, totaling 10,780 instances. As Co-based MOFs, leaf-shaped zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-L) crystals can be partially self-reconstructed to Co(OH) 2 by in situ alkaline electrochemical methods. In this regard, two models of ZIF@Ru/NF and Co(OH) 2 -ZIF@Ru/NF were fabricated, and calculated by DFT. The results showed that the Co(OH) 2 -ZIF heterointerface generated by self-reconstruction effectively modulated the chemical and electronic environment of Ru, leading to enhanced HER performance. Therefore, Co(OH) 2 -ZIF@Ru/NF was in situ grown on nickel foam (NF), using ZIF@Ru/NF as a precursor. After LSV activation, the leaf-shaped ZIF-L transformed into finely fragmented nanosheets of Co(OH) 2. As anticipated, the Co(OH) 2 -ZIF@Ru/NF catalyst demonstrated superior electrocatalytic performance compared to numerous reported counterparts, exhibiting an overpotential of 22 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 and a Tafel slope of 16.9 mV dec−1. Buccal mucosa administration is a promising method for insulin (INS) delivery with good compliance. However, buccal mucosa delivery systems still face challenges of long-term mucosal adhesion, sustained drug release, and mucosal drug penetration. To address these issues, a double-layer film consisting of a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose/polyacrylic acid interpolymer complex (IPC)-formulated mucoadhesive layer and an ethylcellulose (EC)-formulated waterproof backing layer (IPC/EC film) was designed. Protamine (PTM) and INS were co-loaded in the mucoadhesive layer of the IPC/EC film (PTM-INS-IPC/EC film). In ex vivo studies with porcine buccal mucosa, this film exhibited robust adhesion, with an adhesion force of 120.2 ± 20.3 N/m2 and an adhesion duration of 491 ± 45 min. PTM has been shown to facilitate INS mucosal transfer. Pharmacokinetic studies indicated that the PTM-INS-IPC/EC film significantly improved the absorption of INS, exhibiting a 1.45 and 2.24-fold increase in the area under the concentration-time curve (AUC 0-∞) compared to the INS-IPC/EC film and free INS, respectively. Moreover, the PTM-INS-IPC/EC film effectively stabilized the blood glucose levels of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T 1 DM) rats with post oral glucose administration, maintaining lower glucose levels for approximately 8 h. A dual-state fluorophore 2-(2-(6-(dimethylamino)benzo[d]oxazol-2-yl)vinyl)quinolin-8-olfamily (BQ) has been synthesized with N,N, 2-trimethylbenzoxazol-6-amine and 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carbaldehyde in one-pot reaction. • Plastic particles affect nitrogen removal while mitigating the release of N 2 O. • Large plastics reduce N 2 O release by impeding CO 2 assimilation and NH 2 OH reduction. • Nanoplastics affect N metabolism by disrupting N-ion transmembrane transport. • Nanoplastics block the key N-removing enzyme activity, hindering N 2 O production. Constructed wetlands (CWs) have been proven to effectively immobilize plastic particles. However, little is known about the differences in the impact of varying sized plastic particles on nitrous oxide (N 2 O) release, as well as the intervention mechanisms in CWs. Here, we built a lab-scale wetland model and introduced plastic particles of macro-, micro-, and nano-size at 100 μg/L for 370 days. The results showed that plastic particles of all sizes reduced N 2 O release in CWs, with the degrees being the strongest for the Nano group, followed by Micro and Macro groups. Meanwhile, 15N- and 18O-tracing experiment revealed that the ammoxidation process contributed the most N 2 O production, followed by denitrification. While for every N 2 O-releasing process, the contributing proportion of N 2 O in nitrification-coupled denitrification were most significantly cut down under exposing to macro-sized plastics and had an obvious increase in nitrifier denitrification in all groups, respectively. Finally, we revealed the three mechanism pathways of N 2 O release reduction with macro-, micro-, and nano-sized plastics by impacting carbon assimilation (RubisCO activity), ammonia oxidation (gene amo abundance and HAO activity), and N-ion transmembrane and reductase activities, respectively. Passive radiative cooling (PRC) has been integrated with various air conditioning systems to improve system performance but not with solid desiccant cooling (SDC) systems. This study proposed a novel integration of traditional SDC systems with PRC panels to explore the potentials of such integration for air conditioning systems. The optimal installation location for PRC panels within traditional SDC systems, considering the multiple components involved, remains unknown, leading to uncertainty regarding the potential system performance improvement. Hence, a mathematical model was established and validated to determine the optimal location of PRC panels and quantify the system performance improvement. From the results of the cooling capacity and thermal coefficient of performance (TCOP), it was found that the optimal installation location of the PRC panels is after the sensible heat exchanger. For the case studied, results show that the supply air temperature of the optimal hybrid SDC system is 2.65 °C lower than that of the traditional SDC system. Also, the optimal hybrid SDC system demonstrates an improvement in cooling capacity and TCOP by 11.9% and 12.5% respectively compared with a traditional SDC system. We aim to conduct a comprehensive comparison between different biomarkers and their combination, which is lacking, in a multicenter Chinese dementia cohort consisting of Alzheimer's disease (AD), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). We enrolled 92 demented patients [64 AD, 16 FTD, and 12 PSP with dementia] and 20 healthy controls (HC). Their plasma Αβ, p-tau181, NfL, and GFAP were detected by highly sensitive-single molecule immunoassays. Αβ pathology in patients was measured by cerebrospinal fluid or/and amyloid positron emission tomography. All plasma biomarkers tested were significantly altered in dementia patients compared with HC, especially Aβ42/Aβ40 and NfL showed significant performance in distinguishing AD from HC. A combination of plasma Aβ42/Aβ40, p-tau181, NfL, and GFAP could discriminate FTD or PSP well from HC and was able to distinguish AD and non-AD (FTD/PSP). Our results confirmed the diagnostic performance of individual plasma biomarkers Aβ42/Aβ40, p-tau181, NfL, and GFAP in Chinese dementia patients and noted that a combination of these biomarkers may be more accurate in identifying FTD/PSP patients and distinguishing AD from non-AD dementia. In electro-Fenton (EF), development of a bifunctional electrocatalyst to realize simultaneous H 2 O 2 generation and activation efficiently for generating reactive species remains a challenge. In particular, a nonradical-mediated EF is more favorable for actual wastewater remediation, and deserves more attention. In this study, three-dimensional graphene loaded with Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles (Fe 3 O 4 @3D-GNs) with abundant oxygen-containing functional groups (OFGs) was synchronously synthesized using a NaCl-template method and served as a cathode to establish a highly efficient and selective EF process for contaminant degradation. The amounts of OFGs can be effectively modulated via the pyrolysis temperature to regulate the 2e- oxygen reduction reaction activity and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. The optimized Fe 3 O 4 @3D-GNs synthesized at 750 °C (Fe 3 O 4 @3D-GNs-750) with the highest -C-O-C and -C꞊O group ratios exhibited the maximum H 2 O 2 and 1O 2 yields during electrocatalysis, thus showing remarkable versatility for eliminating organic contaminants from surface water bodies. Experiments and theoretical calculations have demonstrated the dominant role of -C-O-C in generating H 2 O 2 and the positive influence of -C꞊O sites on the production of 1O 2. Moreover, the surface-bound Fe(II) favors the generation of surface-bound •OH, which steers a more favorable oxidative conversion of H 2 O 2 to 1O 2. Fe 3 O 4 @3D-GNs were proven to be less pH-dependent, low-energy, stable, and recyclable for practical applications in wastewater purification. Substituted para -phenylenediamines (PPDs) are synthetic chemicals used globally for rubber antioxidation, with their quinone derivatives (PPD-Qs) raising particular environmental concerns due to their severe toxicity to aquatic organisms. Emerging research has identified a variety of novel PPD-Qs ubiquitously detected in the environment, yet experimental proof for the toxicity of PPD-Qs has not been forthcoming due to the unavailability of bulk standards, leaving substantial gaps in the prioritization and mechanistic investigation of such novel pollutants. Here, we use synthesized chemical standards to study the acute toxicity and underlying mechanism of 18 PPD-Qs and PPDs to the aquatic bacterium V. fischeri. Bioluminescence inhibition EC 50 of PPD-Qs ranged from 1.76–15.6 mg/L, with several emerging PPD-Qs demonstrating significantly higher toxicity than the well-studied 6PPD-Q. This finding suggests a broad toxicological threat PPD-Qs pose to the aquatic bacterium, other than 6PPD-Q. Biological response assays revealed that PPD-Qs can reduce the esterase activity, cause cell membrane damage and intracellular oxidative stress. Molecular docking unveiled multiple interactions of PPD-Qs with the luciferase in V. fischeri , suggesting their potential functional impacts on proteins through competitive binding. Our results provided crucial toxicity benchmarks for PPD-Qs, prioritized these novel pollutants and shed light on the potential toxicological mechanisms. Mastication can be influenced by intraoral perturbation (e.g., hard food). We developed the masticatory perturbation task (MPT) to assess the perturbation effect during mastication and quantify the degree of adaptation to masticatory perturbation in younger and older adults. Thirty-eight younger and 38 older participants completed the MPT, which consisted of three trials assessing masticatory performance (MP) without perturbation (i.e., the baseline condition) and three trials assessing MP with perturbation (i.e., the perturbation condition). Perturbation was implemented by concurrently chewing test food on the preferred side and a drinking straw on the nonpreferred side. We estimated the perturbation effect as the ΔMP between the baseline and perturbation conditions and the adaptation effect as the ΔMP between the third and the first trials for both age groups. We found a significant perturbation effect, i.e., a lower MP in the perturbation condition than in the baseline condition, and an adaptation effect, i.e., a higher MP in the third trial than the first trial, in both groups. Moreover, the older group showed a lower degree of adaptation than the younger group. The masticatory perturbation task revealed the perturbation effect during mastication and the adaptation to masticatory perturbation. Cisplatin is widely used as anticancer drugs, and DNA is considered as the main target. Considering its high affinity towards cysteines and the important role of cystine containing proteins, we applied a competitive activity-based protein profiling strategy to identify protein cysteines that bind with cisplatin in HeLa cells. Living cells were treated with cisplatin at cytotoxic concentrations, then the protein was extracted. After labeling with desthiobiotin iodoacetamide (DBIA) probe, protein was precipitated, digested and isotopically labeled, subsequently the peptides were combined, and the biotinylated cysteine-containing peptides were enriched and quantified by LC-MS/MS. A total of 3571 peptides which originated from 1871 proteins were identified using the DBIA probe. Among them, 46 proteins were screened as targets, including proteins that have been identified as binding proteins by previous study. A novel cisplatin target, calpain-1 (CAPN1), was identified and validated as binding with cisplatin in vitro. A competitive cysteine profiling method was used to identify cisplatin-binding cysteine in HeLa cell proteomes using the desthiobiotin iodoacetamide probe. Chinese libraries, from academic to public, are undergoing or preparing for transformation, to meet users' ever changing needs and expectations in the new social, economic, and technological environment. However, there are many factors deeply embedded in the process which may cause potential risks for the transformation. This paper has surveyed the perceptions of library professionals on such risks, and proposes 40 possible risk indicators (RIs) which comprehensively cover the entire life cycle of library transformation. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and multi-dimensional analysis have been used to categorize risks into different types and dimensions. It reveals that library professionals are aware of potential risks, especially the ones from inside the field. Their awareness is positively affected by their current positions in the profession. In general, they are likely to overlook some types of potential risks such as the ones from the leadership, originating outside the library community, or involving long-term uncertainty. The authors suggest library practitioners should be fully aware of the potential risks and their dynamic nature, and should take the opportunity to promote leadership and management in the process of transformation, and to cooperate with parties outside of the library community, thus making the library transformation rational and successful. Noncoding RNAs within MSC-derived sEVs (MSC-sEVs) have been demonstrated to be responsible for tissue regeneration. To characterize lncRNA signatures in sEVs of human adipose-derived MSCs with or without inflammatory cytokine licensing and depict MSC-sEV-specific and MSC-enriched lncRNA repertoires. sEVs were isolated from MSCs with or without TNF-α and IFN-γ (20 ng/mL) stimulation. High-throughput lncRNA sequencing and an in silico approach were employed to analyze the profile of lncRNAs in sEVs and predict lncRNA-protein interactomes. sEVs derived from human MSCs and fibroblasts carried a unique landscape of lncRNAs distinct from the lncRNAs inside these cells. Compared with fibroblast-derived sEVs (F-sEVs), 194 MSC-sEV-specific and 8 upregulated lncRNAs in MSC-sEVs were considered "medicinal signaling lncRNAs"; inflammatory cytokines upregulated 27 lncRNAs in MSC-sEVs, which were considered "licensing-responsive lncRNAs". Based on lncRNA-protein interactome prediction and enrichment analysis, we found that the proteins interacting with medicinal signaling lncRNAs or licensing-responsive lncRNAs have a tight interaction network involved in chromatin remodeling, SWI/SNF superfamily type complexes, and histone binding. Downregulation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-dependent heat shock proteins (HSPs) can significantly reduce the tumorigenicity of cancer cells and overcome heat endurance to achieve high-performance mild temperature (≤45 °C) photothermal therapy (PTT). Herein, we designed and constructed 4T1 cancer cell membrane-coated, lonidamine (LN)-loaded and DL-menthol (DLM)-loaded hollow mesoporous Prussian blue nanoparticles (PBLM@CCM NPs). DLM with mild phase change characteristics served as a plugging agent to avoid early leakage and allow thermally controllable release of LN, which enabled selective intracellular delivery of LN to reduce the HSPs and overcome the heat endurance in PTT by inhibiting the generation of intracellular ATP. The preparation and application of metal chelate-epoxy bifunctional loofah sponge for the selective adsorption and covalent immobilization of a His-tagged trehalose synthase were reported. The adsorption of the His-tagged trehalose synthase on the metal chelate loofah sponge was found to follow the Langmuir isotherm model with Co2+ ion exhibiting an adsorption capacity of 1.183 mg/g and a superior selectivity over the other metal ions tested. Bifunctional loofah sponge, designated as BiFLS 57 , with an adsorption capacity of 0.639 mg/g and an [epoxy groups]/[metal chelate groups] ratio of 0.75 was used for enzyme immobilization. The ideal incubation conditions for the selective adsorption and covalent immobilization of the His-tagged trehalose synthase were 1.0 h at 4 °C and 16 h at 30 °C, respectively. The immobilized enzyme thus prepared exhibited an enzyme activity of 3.99 U/g with a 93% immobilization yield and an 84% global activity yield. The immobilized enzyme prepared with the metal chelate-epoxy bifunctional loofah sponge BiFLS 57 exhibited superior thermostability and operational stability in a repeated-batch process, retaining 96% of its initial activity after 20 cycles. Subduction of low-density continental crust to subarc depths is generally associated with preceding subduction of the oceanic slab. However, the original oceanic signature is often overprinted by subsequent fluid metasomatism from the subducting continental crust. As a result, it is generally difficult to trace the geochemical processes of previous oceanic subduction in collisional orogens. This issue can be potentially resolved by applying B isotopes to metamorphic rocks from continental subduction zones. Here a combined study of whole-rock geochemistry and in situ tourmaline B isotopes was carried out for coesite-bearing whiteschist and phengite schist, as well as country rock metagranitoids from the Dora-Maira Massif in the Western Alps. While all these metamorphic rocks have a similar protolith of Permian granites, whiteschist and phengite schist experienced Mg-rich fluid metasomatism during the continental subduction, evidenced by their much higher MgO contents than the metagranitoids. Tourmaline in the metagranitoid (Tur-G) is schorlitic (X Mg = 15–55) with low δ11B values from −13 to −6‰, and is consistent with a magmatic origin. In contrast, tourmaline in metasomatic rocks (Tur-S) is mainly dravitic with the highest X Mg worldwide (X Mg = 90–98) and high δ11B values of −5 to +1‰. Integrated with whole-rock geochemistry and previous studies, Tur-S is interpreted to grow during the infiltration of external fluids that were highly enriched in MgO and relatively enriched in 11B. According to the B isotope compositions of precursor tourmalines, it is estimated that the external fluids had significantly higher δ11B values than +2.4‰. Based on B isotope compositions of both Tur-S and metasomatic fluids, our quantitative modeling suggests that the metasomatic fluids most likely originated from the mantle wedge serpentinite that was formed during the preceding oceanic subduction stage. Therefore, tourmaline B isotopes in the ultrahigh pressure metamorphic continental crust can be used to trace preceding fluid metasomatism at the interface between oceanic slab and mantle wedge. The mantle wedge serpentinite plays an important role in modifying the geochemical composition of deeply subducted supracrustal rocks and probably also the mantle sources of arc magmas. In the present work, nanostructured hydroxyapatite (HA)-containing coating was prepared on a Ti surface by ultrasonic mechanical coating and armoring (UMCA). A Ti plate was pre-coated with HA slurry, followed by UMCA, which was achieved by high-frequency ZrO 2 ball bombardment. The UMCA process comprised several cycles of pre-coating and ball bombardment, providing high amounts of HA and good coating adhesion. The coating mainly consisted of nano-HA particles (less than 10 nm) and a small amount of Ti. Furthermore, the deformation structures of the Ti surface region were characterized in a nanocrystalline layer with a grain size of 50–200 nm. Additionally, the coating exhibited improved bioactivity and corrosion resistance in Hanks' balanced salt solution than the Ti surface. Introduction: Routine HIV testing is expected to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment. Nevertheless, to date, limited data are available on the presumed benefit of early detection with improved outcomes through routine HIV testing.Methods: This study was based on the Taiwan national HIV/AIDS registry, with follow-up data validated through December 31, 2014. Outcomes of people diagnosed with HIV infection through the routine (routinely offered in specific settings, opt-out) versus through nonroutine (individual risk-based) testing were compared. The main outcomes of the study were late diagnosis, HIV-related mortality, and all-cause mortality. Individuals were matched by year of HIV diagnosis and adjusted for age, sex, transmission routes, and SES. Analyses were conducted in 2019-2020.Results: This study included all 28,674 people diagnosed with HIV infection during 1986-2014 (8,431 [29%] by routine testing, 18,305 [64%] by individual risk-based testing) with a mean follow-up time of 6.2 years. Routine testing was associated with an 80% lower likelihood of late HIV diagnosis (AOR=0.20, 95% CI=0.18, 0.23, p<0.001), a 37% lower HIV-related mortality (adjusted hazard ratio=0.63, 95% CI=0.53, 0.75, p<0.001), and a 27% lower all-cause mortality (adjusted hazard ratio=0.73, 95% CI=0.67, 0.79, p<0.001).Conclusions: Routine HIV testing was associated with highly favorable outcomes, including decreased late diagnosis, lower HIV-related mortality, and lower all-cause mortality, among people diagnosed with HIV infection. Under universal health coverage, expanding routine HIV testing in well-targeted settings may improve both HIV epidemic control for society and clinical outcomes for people living with HIV.
