This article presents a plan for the development of the area adjacent to Pryanishnikov Street in the Timiryazevsky District of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow. This plan involves upgrading the roadway to distribute traffic flows and isolate the public transport flow. Simulation models are created, reflecting all the objects and rules of interaction that are typical for the studied area to assess the effectiveness of the developed concept. The main feature of the site development plan is the safety of all road users, reducing the downtime of personal road and public transport to increase the capacity of the road network and improve the environmental condition of the area. The created scheme and traffic models are the basis for the urban city development plan and can be used to simulate different scenarios of territory changes and operational management of traffic and pedestrian flows.

The motor transport industry, along with others, has its own characteristics and rates of development in Russia and abroad. Management, as a science, is also based on relevant types: strategic, innovative, anti-crisis, financial, production and many other varieties of it, which form the appropriate management vectors in the organization based on functional or problem blocks of its activities. Most of the theoretical research is not used by specialists and managers in practice, noting the isolation of problems solved by fundamental science and fixed real situations that take place in the native industry. On the one hand, the problems relate to all areas, business processes, enterprises of many forms of ownership and complexes of the national economy: in relation to maximizing profits and improving reputation, maintaining a high level of quality, work, services, innovation, further development and building up strategic potential. It becomes more difficult to fulfill the above priorities and sub-goals in the conditions of crisis response, staff reduction, minimization of costs for the development of innovations in the economic activities of Auto-Transport Enterprises (AT enterprises). Business processes are a set of interrelated works performed in an organization to create a product, goods and services of high quality that are in demand among consumers. It is also necessary to take into account the concepts that consider business processes as the most important resources of the enterprise, the management of which becomes the area of control and influence from outside and ordinary performers. The authors examine the role of community resilience in consumer mental, behavioral, and attitudinal responses to policy interventions implemented in response to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Three adaptive capacities (economic development, communication and information, and transformative potential) are used to capture community resilience in various geographies. Using a difference-in-difference approach in a large sample of consumers from multiple countries that introduced such interventions in March and April 2020, the authors assess the moderating effect of these capacities on the strength of the impact of interventions on mental health, personal protective behavior, and the perception of such policies. The measure of COVID policy intervention reflects mandatory closure of workplaces, transportation, and schools. Significant findings include robust empirical evidence that adaptive capacities mitigate the negative impact of COVID policy intervention on mental health. Furthermore, the policy's impact on personal protective behaviors was more substantial in countries with higher levels of economic equality, communication spending, social engagement, and human development. Economic development and communication and information capacities strengthened the positive impact of the intervention on the perception of such policies. Trademarks play an important role in protecting intangible brand assets. However, the impact of trademark rights on brand assets has received little attention in the literature. The authors examine the impact of trademark rights on brand assets from the perspective of appropriability—that is, the firm's ability to benefit from innovation and creativity. To ensure causal identification, they use a natural experimental context in which U.S. Supreme Court decisions on trademark rights provide an exogenous variation in strength of trademark rights. Using a database of trademarks registered in the United States and a difference-in-difference estimation approach, the authors show that, overall, trademark applications and applications to register in other categories increase when trademark rights are strengthened and decrease when trademark rights are weakened. However, trademarking responses of brands to a change in property rights are muted for design trademarks and amplified when a firm has multiple brands. The authors introduce meta-analysis as a compelling tool for macromarketing research in an increasingly complex and data-driven world, and share an example of its application. They synthesize and generalize empirical findings on the relationships between marketing systems (MS) and quality-of-life (QOL), two concepts integral to macromarketing. Results indicate dimensions of MS are positively associated with QOL, suggesting that marketing systems enhance consumer well-being across contexts and metrics. The promotion dimension of MS has the highest correlation with QOL; the strongest positive MS-QOL relationship was estimated for personal health. Measurement, cultural, and socioeconomic factors that affect the strength of MS-QOL relationships also were assessed. Results suggest the association between MS and QOL is stronger in studies based on primary/subjective measures of QOL constructs, in samples drawn from developed economies, and in more indulgent, uncertainty-tolerant, and long-term-oriented cultures. The article defines the importance of simulation modeling of traffic flows for the development of both individual territories and the entire city. The object of the study is a transport artery connecting two major districts of the city of Moscow: Strogino and Shchukino. As part of the work, the key quantitative and qualitative parameters of the object are highlighted, allowing to determine the input parameters for the simulation model of the real object in order to implement a scenario of reducing the number of lanes for personal road transport and adding a dedicated lane for public transport.

Nowadays special attention must be paid to pathology associated with the violation of the change of milk teeth to permanent of dogs of dwarf breeds. This fact is confirmed by the results of a statistical analysis of appeals from dog owners to specialized dental care at the “Veterinary Hospital”: 33 % of the animals were diagnosed with “false polyodontics” a general increase in the number of teeth due to non-temporal loss. In the literature, it is noted that the hormones of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, sex hormones regulate the exchange of calcium and phosphorus in the blood, thereby affecting the speed of tooth changes and the degree of bone mineralization. As a result of the research, the authors determined the features of hormonal and mineral homeostasis of the body during the period of teeth change in dogs of dwarf breeds at the age of 6 months in the blood serum, characterized by the thyroid gland profile, sex hormones – at the lower reference values, increased phosphorus and calcium levels.

For the first time light and scanning electron microscopy have been to reveal changes in the anatomical structure of leaf blades of Fragaria × ananassa Duch. regenerants cultivated in nutrient media supplemented with biogenic silica and green-tea-flavonoids-based mechanocomposite. An increase in the density of stomata per unit area of the leaf, size of the stomatal gaps, thickness of the epidermis and mesophyll have been noted. The revealed changes in the leaf blade structure under mechanocomposite treatment contribute to the further successful acclimatization of regenerants to ex vitro conditions.

Flavonoids of the salt glands and tissues of Myricaria bracteata and Myricaria longifolia were studied by histochemical assays and chromatographic analysis. Histochemical staining indicated flavonoid accumulation in the salt glands, within vascular bundles, and in subepidermal parenchyma layers of the leaves. Exudate flavonoids of the leaves were characterized for the first time. Phenolic profiles of these species proved to be similar and showed high levels of ellagic acid and total flavonoids, including hyperoside, isoquercitrin, astragalin, avicularin, isorhamnetin 3-O-rutinoside, quercetin, naringenin, and luteolin. Astragalin and hyperoside are major phenolic compounds in the leaves. The latter were found to constitute ~0.2-0.3% of total phenolics of the leaves; meanwhile, exudate flavonoids make up ~0.5% of total flavonoids. The high similarity of phenolic composition between the whole-leaf extracts and the exudates indicates the homogeneous origin of these compounds. The observed tissue distribution of flavonoids and their presence in the salt glands confirm the role of these glands in leaf surface secretion of flavonoids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Inflorescences of wheat species, spikes, are characteristically unbranched and bear one sessile spikelet at a spike rachis node. Development of supernumerary spikelets (SSs) at rachis nodes or on the extended rachillas is abnormal. Various wheat morphotypes with altered spike morphology, associated with the development of SSs, present an important genetic resource for studies on genetic regulation of wheat inflorescence development. Results: Here we characterized diploid and tetraploid wheat lines of various non-standard spike morphotypes, which allowed for identification of a new mutant allele of the WHEAT FRIZZY PANICLE (WFZP) gene that determines spike branching in diploid wheat Ttiticum monococcum L. Moreover, we found that the development of SSs and spike branching in wheat T. durum Desf. was a result of a wfzp-A/TtBH-A1 mutation that originated from spontaneous hybridization with T. turgidum convar. compositum (L.f.) Filat. Detailed characterization of the false-true ramification phenotype controlled by the recessive sham ramification 2 (shr2) gene in tetraploid wheat T. turgidum L. allowed us to suggest putative functions of the SHR2 gene that may be involved in the regulation of spikelet meristem fate and in specification of floret meristems. The results of a gene interaction test suggested that genes WFZP and SHR2 function independently in different processes during spikelet development, whereas another spike ramification gene(s) interact(s) with SHR2 and share(s) common functions. Conclusions: SS mutants represent an important genetic tool for research on the development of the wheat spikelet and for identification of genes that control meristem activities. Further studies on different non-standard SS morphotypes and wheat lines with altered spike morphology will allow researchers to identify new genes that control meristem identity and determinacy, to elucidate the interaction between the genes, and to understand how these genes, acting in concert, regulate the development of the wheat spike. Background: Leaves of Poaceae have a unique morphological feature: they consist of a proximal sheath and a distal blade separated by a ligular region. The sheath provides structural support and protects young developing leaves, whereas the main function of the blade is photosynthesis. The auricles allow the blade to tilt back for optimal photosynthesis and determine the angle of a leaf, whereas the ligule protects the stem from the entry of water, microorganisms, and pests. Liguleless variants have an upright leaf blade that wraps around the culm. Research on liguleless mutants of maize and other cereals has led to identification of genes that are involved in leaf patterning and differentiation. Results: We characterized an induced liguleless mutant (LM) of Aegilops tauschii Coss., a donor of genome D of bread wheat Triticum aestivum L.. The liguleless phenotype of LM is under dominant monogenic control (Lgt). To determine precise position of Lgt on the Ae. tauschii genetic map, highly saturated genetic maps were constructed containing 887 single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers derived via diversity arrays technology (DArT)seq. The Lgt gene was mapped to chromosome 5DS. Taking into account coordinates of the SNP markers, flanking Lgt, on the pseudomolecule 5D, a chromosomal region that contains this gene was determined, and a list of candidate genes was identified. Morphological features of the LM phenotype suggest that Lgt participates in the control of leaf development, mainly, in leaf proximal–distal patterning, and its dominant mutation causes abnormal ligular region but does not affect reproductive development. Conclusions: Here we report characterization of a liguleless Ae. tauschii mutant, whose phenotype is under control of a dominant mutation of Lgt. The dominant mode of inheritance of the liguleless trait in a Triticeae species is reported for the first time. The position of the Lgt locus on chromosome 5DS allowed us to identify a list of candidate genes. This list does not contain Ae. tauschii orthologs of any well-characterized cereal genes whose mutations cause liguleless phenotypes. Aim: This study aimed to elucidate the ability of the bovine leukemia virus (BLV) to integrate into cells of heterologous organisms, in particular, Wistar rats, and examine the manifestations of the pathological process that could be seen in them. Materials and Methods: Wistar rats - were divided into three groups. The first group (I) was fed milk of intact cows, the second (II) - milk of BLV-infected cows, and the third (III) - milk of cows, clinically BLV sick. Rats of all groups were divided into two subgroups: In the subgroup "a", there were adult rats, and in the subgroup "b", their offspring were included. At 3, 6, 9, and 12 months from the start of the experiment, the animals' blood of each group was examined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the presence of BLV provirus and specific anti-leukemia antibodies. A general and biochemical blood test was performed; pathological changes in the internal organs were recorded. Results: Using the PCR, the BLV infection was established in all experimental rats, whose immune response was expressed in varying degrees. At the initial stage of the infection, offspring rats were born healthy. The rats of the control groups Ia and Ib were intact to the BLV throughout the experiment. The biochemical blood tests have shown several signs of intoxication, endocrine disorders, and development of malignant processes in the experimental animals. There are also signs of liver, kidney, and myocardial damages, regardless of whether milk is infected or the cows are clinically leukemic. By the time, the experimental rats developed persistent thrombocytosis with an increase in the average volume of the blood platelets, which may be evidence of the leukemia infection by the megakaryocytic type. The most pronounced character of the change was in the offspring generation. Conclusion: Wistar rats can be considered as a suitable laboratory model to study the BLV pathogenesis. Rats are not BLV natural host, however, they developed the pathognomonic BLV infection symptoms when they were fed infected and leukemic cow's milk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Overgrazing and mining affect vegetation, particularly in mountains. At times, it goes to such an extent that the plant species become vulnerable and slowly extinct from its habitat. Such endemic species need to be protected. One such endemic species Hedysarum chaiyrakanicum Kurbatsky, a vulnerable steppe vegetation of Tuva Republic, Russia was evaluated for its genetic diversity and taxonomic definition using molecular technique and chromosome number adjustment. The genetic differentiation among H. chaiyrakanicum, H. setigerum Turcz. and H. gmelinii Ledeb. genotypes was determined using five inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers and then examined with Nei's genetic distance coefficient (D) and Shannon's information index (H). A total of 134 reproducible bands were detected with polymorphism percentage of 98%. The genetic diversity of H. chaiyrakanicum was found to be 0.343 while the Shannon index H(sp) was determined as 8 06. The chromosome number 2n = 16 is newly observed within the H. chaiyrakanicum. The genetic relationship based on ISSR data supported the taxonomic distinction of H. chaiyrakanicum from H. setigerum and H. gmelinii. We recommend both in situ and ex situ conservation strategies, specially germplasm sampling, to save this endemic species.
