The article "How are liturgical books created?" deals with the process of creating liturgical books for an entire language area. Various occasions and objectives for the publication of such books are discussed, with the liturgy interacting with other areas and aspects. The article also sheds light on the development of liturgical books after the Reformation and the Council of Trent in the 16th century, as well as the liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council. It is emphasized that since then, the liturgy can be celebrated in the vernacular languages, resulting in new conditions and challenges. The article describes the process of creating liturgical books in the Catholic Church, with the responsibility for publication being transferred to the bishops' conferences. The need for revisions of liturgical books is pointed out, and questions regarding the plausibility of the liturgy in a secularized society and a damaged church are raised.
