- Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of digital literacy on the prevention of hoaxes on TikTok social media in students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, class of 2020. The population in this study is FIS UNJ students class of 2020 who own and play Tiktok social media, the sample technique used is a total sampling technique or census with a total of 73 respondents. The quantitative data analysis techniques used in this study are correlation analysis, simple linear regression, partial test (T test), and coefficient of determination. The hypothesis test was performed with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 application. The results of this study show that digital literacy affects hoax prevention on TikTok social media, the form of digital literacy influence on hoax prevention is positive where the higher the digital literacy rate, the higher the hoax prevention. Based on the results obtained from the coefficient of determination or R square value, digital literacy has an effect of 26.5% on hoax prevention while the other 73.5% is influenced by other variables that are not studied.
