At the end of the 50s, Franz Fanon asks about the binding relationship between certain phenomena of power, identity, gender and resistance, and their forms of simplification/manipulation for the transmission of coloniality. Taking his "Unveiling" political category as a theoretical loan, this paper will try to offer some readings regarding Schools, and the ways they operate, understand and manage diverse and diversity as well. And in order to do so, we will place the First World Soccer Cup that took it place in the Middle East recently, as excuse or a starting point for this historical discussion. It is from this special horizon understood it as part of a political representation, that let us overhaul some frequently relations of inequality that still continues to operate "unseen" between West and East; and that, for us, Schools can urgently attend to help and contribute to counteract them. The aim of this paper is to make a qualitative assessment of youthful transitions when finishing secondary school. The main issue addressed by this work revolves around the way in which the young undergo this process while attending their last year of secondary education. The analysis was performed by considering the youth collective’s experiences and post-secondary expectations, which are largely connected with their unique vision in relation to the future they discern for themselves in local scenarios. An in-depth survey was conducted among a purposive sample of young people that attended state-run secondary schools during the 2016-2017 school years. The interviews enquired into the assessment, meanings, feelings, wishes and mandates that characterise this turning point. Gender and women's studies have become more visible in recent years. A tangible advance not only in academic terms, but also at a social and educational level. Although these issues have gained notoriety in our country, we note that this does not affect the same intensity in the educational field. At secondary level, these issues enter preferably from the hand of the Comprehensive Sexual Education Law (Law No. 26,150) although this does not happen systematically. We ask ourselves then about the History that is taught not only in high school, but also at University. Within this framework, we promptly inquire into the entry of these issues within the History Teachers Program at the National University of La Plata. In sum, this is a paper that tries to question which historical subjects regain voice in the teaching of university History and at the same time it presents the curriculum as a cultural, historical and gendered device. Women and Gender Studies invite us to re-read the role that is said women have developed by the different historiographical trends, which generally coincide in supporting the hegemonic gender ideology. Thus, the funding myths that support patriarchate leak historical discourses that settle in common sense women whose lives result anecdotic, never trascendental for history. This paper attempts to revise part of what has been said about Paula Albarracín, and to analize the facts that might have had incidence in remembering her as "Sarmiento's mother", "an illiterate woman who knitted", when even in the most conservative papers one can see that she was a woman with interests and practices that, undoubtedly, left a mark in Sarmiento. This paper presents the work done in a Research Development scholarship awared at UNLPam to a member of the research project "Student's autonomy based on alternative materials". Three didactic units were created to teach the contents prescribed by the Ministry of Education of La Pampa in relation to the grammar taught in third year state High School: present simple and present continuous, simple past and past continuous. Comprehensive Sexual Education was used to teach the lexicon of the language. Apart from the contents proposed in the Curricula, categories such as gender, naturalization, trivialization and stereotype were considered in the topics of different text types such as narrations and descriptions. First, textbooks used in High School were critically analysed and alternative didactic materials were designed taking into account the contents prescribed in the curricula and the experiential culture of the students. Working following this approach allows students to acquire the abilities of the language through tools that allowed to interpellate hegemonic discourses and build relevant knowledge for critical citizenship and to critically reflect upon teaching practices. This study about inequality(s) occupies a relevant space in therecentacademic contributions from looks that suppose to privilege generally omitted categories, overcoming a traditional area that prioritizes income inequalities. The urban space is also analyzed in the (re) production of the social inequality in the Latin-American cities (Segura, 2014). The predominance of the inequality in the centerperiphery scheme of metropolitan structure reinforces the model of city that does not manage to conquer the invisible barriers placed daily in the life of the population (Caldeira, 2000). Such barriers are remeasured from the complexity of the metropolis producing inequalities on multiple scales. This work is part of an investigation on public policies of habitat from emergent approaches. In previous instances we approach gender constructions in the speeches and practices of the habitat policies implemented in Tucumán in the 2004-2008. Between 2007 and 2015 a series of institutional, legislative and legal changes took place in Argentina with the aim expandingrights and social and gender equality. These must be considered to think today challenges in the equity agendas. From the disciplinary perspective of urbanism, the 21st century finds us with problems and challenges raised global level regarding inclusion in cities. From research instances and collective reflection processes on Latin American metropolises, similar dynamics linked to metropolitan expansion, inequality and vulnerability are evident in the 2005-2015 period. Both lines research, the one that links politics and gender and the one related to the metropolitan agenda and rights, dialogue in this article. Some questions that guide the work refer to: what implies thinking today and in our context, in more inclusive and democratic cities? Which are the advances and challenges of the public policies developed in the last decade? What gender inequalities come together in metropolitan spaces? What answers does the urban agenda demand? This paper presents some reflections on how gender inequalities are expressed in the metropolitan area of Tucumán and on the level of responses, the challenges of the urban and metropolitan agenda regarding the incorporation of human rights and gender equality. Since the return to democracy in our country, many different movements, having different aims appeared. Among them, those which would struggle for the defence of women’s rights. The province of La Pampa has not been exempt from this fenomenon. In a period of more than three decades flourished in the pampean social scenery several movements. Nontheless, it is about the end of the 20th century that many other emerged, whose objectives are clearly feminist, and they are bound to the express defence of women’s rights. This is the case of Movement for Women’s Rights of General Pico”, subject of study in this paper. Adopting a regional perspective, from a gender viewpoint, this research is powered by the following questionings: Did the constitution of this movement implied a resignification and reconstruction of both, individual and collective identities of its members? Heterosexuallove relationships have become a central object of study for feminist theory in the 21st century, on the one hand, because of the way they maintain and reproduce gender inequality in a context of democracy, freedom and formal equality, and on the other hand, because of the deep transformations that significances of love and couple have undergone when these values have spread to the intimate sphere. In line with these approaches, this paper analyzes, from the results obtained in a PHD thesis, the possible influence of gender inequality on the perception and resolution of conflicts, expressed by heterosexual persons with respect to their intimate relationships. Research results lead to the conclusion that conflict may be a key question for the analysis of gender inequality as, on the one hand, it is an expression of feminine dissatisfaction generated by the inequalitarian dynamics that take place in the heterosexual íntímacy, and on the other hand, because it demands an intervention that tends to reinforce traditional gender roles. The FCH at UNLPam is one of the first universities in the country to give signs of commitment regarding gender. Among these is the Interdisciplinary Institute of Women Studies, created in 1993. In 2008, UNLPam legislates for the use of non-sexist language when applied in the degrees granted. In 2010, in the view of the changes on the Teaching Studies curricula, an Integral Sexual Education Seminar was incorporated; and nowadays, Extracurricular and public lectures are given in the form of Cátedra Libre named Educación Sexual Integral y Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos. It emerges along with the local forum for the rights to legal, safe and free abortion. The creation of this Chair reflects the interest in studying the complexities of the bodies, sexuality and gender in education, particularly at schools, as a socializing space in different levels. University functions are not only formative, but also being a central part in formulating public policies in education. This paper attempts to account for the articulation between the activism processes that have been taking place in the city and the accessibility found at the university decision- spaces. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the female workers' share in the fruit and vegetable labour market in the district of General Pueyrredon, and its articulation with their domestic work, taking into account the characteristics of the workers' households. In this productive space, the transitional female work done in the intensive vegetable crops, which is practiced in the fields and under cover can be proved, as well as in non-traditional fruit crops. Women participate in basic cultural works, especially, in harvesting and selection, conditioning and packing of fruits and vegetables. It is observed how women develop different strategies in order to make both work and family worlds compatible, without disregarding the responsibilities related to the domestic and reproduction duties that determine their possibilities of labour insertion. The aim of the paper lies in analyzing the nature of political participation of women within the various human rights organizations in the province of La Pampa, rescuing them as historical subjects and protagonists of our history. We start to understand participation as a way of self-asserting in society as a legitimate way of claiming our rights as citizens and the citizenship as appropriative practice of existing rights and producer of new rights. It is in the field of human rights organizations at national and local level where participation in general and women in particular enabled the reconstruction of the threads of community and political solidarity corrupted by systematical state violence. Through oral history, is to rescue the voices of women who were active participants in the task of establishing, in pampas society in particular and Argentina in general, demand for justice and the recovery of individual and collective rights. The objective of this paper is to present the theoretical progress that relates the problems concerning criminal law, procedural criminal law, gender theory and feminism, making a brief description of the contribution given by national and foreign authors. It tries to reach a theoretical perspective that helps the critic interpretations of criminal law and preserves the non-discriminatory bias of gender theory and feminism, as long as disciplines belonging to the human rights paradigm. The last issue is not always possible to reach, since contradictions and valuable contributions, although tense among them, can be found. On the one hand, those tensions between gender theory and criminal law difficult the possibility of having an extensive discourse about the needs of specific groups, especially women that are caught in the punitive power nets. On the other hand, the same tensions lead to the discussion about women and the judicial discourse, as this is a powerful instrument that creates law subject and crystallizes social relationships. Women's power is an issue which historiography, in particular that one which takes gender as an analytic category, is paying special attention to. In this paper, we would like to present and study two aspects under consideration. Firstly, the roles that Doña Leonor de Guzmán and Doña Mariana de Austria played during Alfonso XI and Carlos II reigns, respectively; secondly, the way historiography dealt with the topic of power exercised in each of these cases. On the one hand, Doña Leonor de Guzmán exercised her power in Castilla-León kingdom in the time she had a love affair with Alfonso XI which lasted twenty years (1330-1350). During that period she acted as a royal concubine. On the other hand, Doña Mariana de Austria, was king Felipe IV legitimate wife, and she acted as the regent queen (1665-1675) during prince Carlos II child-hood. Taking these differences into account, we will deal with the role each of them played and the cultural, social and political circumstances that allowed them to exercise a royal power, that is to say, empowerment. In this paper we deal with the nominal deverbative mechanisms in toba (Guaycuruan family, Argentina). The data comes from a ten hours narrative corpus and the lexical items published in Alberto Buckwalter's Vocabulario Toba (1980). We present the affixes that enable the derivation of words connected with actions or states and the agentive, instrumental, locative, objective and resultative nouns. We also study the grammatical gender selected by each affix, showing that the choice is morphologically controlled. Finally, from a dynamic-synchronic perspective, we hypothesize that the resultative affix could be considered as an evidence of the creation of a passive diathesis in this Amerindian language. The debate about the definition of some concepts such as 'popular' and 'mass' culture and the value judgments passed on them has been present throughout the Twentieth Century and has occupied mainly the intellectual thought. It seemed as if the cultivated people of the times perceived those terms as threatening manifestations to their traditional universe. With the purpose of giving a brief account of the landmarks in the history of this cultural phenomenon and attempting to define some delimitative categories to establish constellations of sense, the present work will center upon Ana María Amar Sánchez's thesis (2000). According to her, a corpus of texts belonging to Latin American literature proceeded to the appropriation of mass cultural aspects, while in that very same operation, it separated from it. According to Amar Sánchez, this double-sided effect would have politicized those 'mass' elements and resulted in a type of atypical literature. Our paper intends to expand the corpus of authors studied by Amar Sánchez as well as the genres included in her analysis, bringing in exponents from science fiction, especially Angélica Gorodischer's works. Moreover, we will study how this storyteller from Rosario politicizes those mass contributions by crossing them with gender issues. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is a comprehensive analysis of Argentinean historiographic memory as regards the condition of women and gender studies. It is a state-of-the-art work on the historical discipline in this field and refers both to the precursory works from before the 1980's and to the activities carried out by an ever-increasing number of agents, at the moment when historiography was legitimated in our country, by the mid 80's. This expansion coincides with a series of phenomena, both internal and external, among which we may point out the outstanding renewal and spread of feminist studies, epistemological changes, transformations in social history, the international growth of gender historiography, together with the social and political changes that took place in Argentina with the return of democracy and the new approaches introduced in the academic context with the advent of studies on women and gender. Escriche (Spain, XIXth Century) to interpret the female condition in law and the legal status of women as presented in his Diccionario razonado de legislación y jurisprudencia (1847). The concept of "gender" as an analytical category facilitated the posing of research questions and analysis of the judiciary voices involving women. These, in most cases, implied an unequal relationship between sexes. Law -- as a social construction -reflected this relationship and institutionalized a judiciary dependence of women towards men. Spaces, functions and judiciary possibilities were delimited for women. The result was that the female condition derived in a different judiciary status with -- in general -- more restricted rights, especially for married women. According to Escriche, biological sex distinction had incidence in the differences in behavior and character -- women were weaker, frailer, inexpert and less intelligent, prudent or constant than men. In this paper we reflect upon the particular characteristics present in our culture, which determine the brittleness of women's identity, so common in our society. The social imaginary, in terms of a universe of meaning, is inseparable from the issue of power. Once established, it requires legitimating systems, norms and sanctions as well as mythological supports, emblems and rituals in order to maintain it. Myths that operate through naturalization, timelessness, and the recurrence of their argumentative plots obtain their symbolical effectiveness by appearing in different places in the social texture. By creating totalizing narratives and shifts in meaning, which help to produce invisibilities by eliminating the opposite sense, myths put into play their symbolical violence. Within this pattern, we have reflected upon the categories gender difference can be thought We found that they are based on an attributive, binary and hierarchical logic that works in terms of analogies, comparisons and dichotomies. Such conditions lead to the absence of reversibility between the One and the Other, wherefore the Same becomes the Only One, weakening the possibilities for women's identification. This paper is an attempt to look into the visibility of women and their link with the Peronista government during its first two administrations (1946-1952 and 1952-1955). We focus our analysis on the relationship many women established with Eva Perón during their participation in the Peronista political organization. Following the methodology of oral history, we collected data via personal interviews to a Peronista woman related to the Eva Perón Foundation. Through her reports we have been able to visualize social practices that helped us understand the function of this institution beyond the scope of discourse. In this sense, we were able to reconstruct a Peronista woman's working and political path, her social representations regarding the figure of Eva Peron and the changes that signaled a crucial period in women's history: the implementation of the feminine vote.
