Agri-food cooperatives are fundamental for social cohesion in rural areas, where they are mostly concentrated. These organizations not only enhance the competitiveness of their members' farms but also generate wealth and employment, helping to retain population and combat rural depopulation. This study analyzes the factors influencing Murcian agricultural producers' decisions to join cooperatives. To do this, a Probit regression model is employed, based on survey data from 225 agricultural producers in the Region of Murcia, both cooperative members and non-members. The results show that household economic dependence on agriculture, preference for long-term commercial relationships, and specialization in olive oil or dairy products increase the likelihood of cooperative membership. Conversely, the availability of alternative marketing options and higher risk aversion decreases this likelihood. This analysis provides valuable information for cooperative managers, sector organizations, and public administrations by offering a profile of agricultural producers, which aids in designing strategies to attract new members and consolidate existing ones. Objective. To know the prevalence of early childhood development (ECD), its determinants, and exposure to violent discipline methods among Mexican children in 2022. Materials and methods. We estimated the ECD, its determinants, and exposure to violent discipline methods indicators following the methodology of Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS). We calculated the prevalence for each indicator and disaggregated it by children and sociodemographic characteristics. Results. We found that 19.3% of children aged 24 to 59 months were not developmentally on track. There exists a low attendance to early learning programs (7.1%) and preschool (62.4%). Among children younger than five years old 41.7% did not have access to children's books and 8.1% had inadequate care. Additionally, 55.5% of children aged 1 to 14 years old were exposed to violent discipline methods. Conclusion. This paper analyses what kinds of metonymy are implied in the usage of definite and indefinite determiners in Spanish. It also assesses how can the conceptualization of determiners systems be improved by developing learners’ awareness of metonymic links between the different values of these forms and the constructions they take part in. The distinction between generic references values (Un médico debe ser empático ‘A doctor must be empathic’), non-specific values (Necesitamos un médico ‘We need a doctor’) and specific values (Pediré cita a un médico que me recomendaron ‘I will request an appointment for a doctor that was recommended to me) of articles and some quantifiers will be discussed, as well as the quantifying interpretation of definite determiners in cases such as ¡No sabes los amigos que tiene Laura! ‘You don’t know the friends Laura has’, meaning ‘You don’t know (you can’t imagine) how many friends Laura has’. The use of the typical iconic notations of Cognitive Grammar (Langacker), and likewise of others theoretical tools of this model such as the profile/base alignment, among others, will allow to consider metonymy as a kind of construal. Regarding the didactic application, we will explore the advantages of the cognitive approach combined with a variety of exercises and conceptualization strategies in tasks of presentation and practice of different determiners. Objective: The purpose of the study was to determine the degree of disability and its socioeconomic and clinical determinants as well as the access to health and rehabilitation services in people with hemiplegia or hemiparesis in the city of Popayán, Cauca, Colombia. Methodology: descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional study. The sample consisted of 52 people of legal age, with a diagnosis of hemiplegia or hemiparesis. The WHODAS 2.0 disability assessment questionnaire was applied. Results: A hundred percent of the people studied had a disability, and the disability average total was 44.7%, corresponding to moderate disability. The participants showed difficulties in all domains of functioning, with moderate difficulty in the cognition, personal care and daily activities domains, and severe difficulty with mobility and participation. Conclusions: Hemiparesis and hemiplegia cause disability in different degrees of severity determined by the pathological state and the interaction and the influence of multiple socioeconomic, clinical factors and access to health and rehabilitation services. The internationalization of higher education places a responsibility on universities to prepare their students to live and work in an intercultural society. At the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina), Mundo UNS program encompasses the offer of international mobility opportunities for undergraduate students. Due to the central role of mobility opportunities in the aforementioned responsibility, it turns out to analyze the determinants of the probability that a student accesses them. For this, multilevel regression models are estimated, considering the students applying to Mundo UNS in 2018. The results show that curriculum compliance, language abilities and an over-average performance have a positive impact on being chosen for these programs. The Ecuadorian woman ventures into university life in Ecuador, with a delay of three centuries, starting with the feat of Matilde Hidalgo; which represents a condition with many determinants, which even today subsist with other circumstantial nuances. The object of study is based on university women, who by 2015 constitute more than 55% of the student population in the context of the State Technical University of Quevedo. Being university women the object of study, the research work is focused on the aspects that determine their absenteeism, the interruption of their academic training, forced desertion, the academic and administrative biases that are imposed, as well as the family and social characterizations, economic and cultural, which depend on their professional aspirations. The objective of the study is to identify the variables that determine the desertion of the university woman from Quevedo and its areas of influence. It is a theoretical contribution that seeks alternative solutions to the growing desertion; taxing the meeting of components of community action that mitigate such desertion, seek alternative opportunities for personal autonomy, structuring normative conditions of greater accessibility, together with the social conviction of the real understanding of the problem. The methodology corresponded to a type of exploratory research, with the foundations of a precise bibliographic review and previous publications, respecting the approach to the desertion of university women, as well as the detailed analysis of the information obtained from the application of various measurement instruments. Sustainability has emerged in order to improve the quality of life for living things on the planet. The objective of the article is to determine the factors that drive the sustainable behavior of the universities of northeast Mexico. The results are achieved from a qualitative exploratory research, where the most relevant internal and external elements of this phenomenon were established. The method used consisted of a case study at universities in northeast Mexico, identifying as individual determinants of sustainable behavior the main elements at the individual, institutional and contextual levels, such as regulatory frameworks, existing competences, the presence or absence of an awareness, and attitudes. This research aims to study the determinants of foreign direct investment in the countries of the United States, Canada and Mexico, making a comparison of them. In order to achieve this goal, the theories of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) are first reviewed to understand the behavior and motivation of the introduction of the transnational corporations in the foreign countries. Subsequently, a statistical analysis is carried out in each of the studied countries, highlighting the origin, destination and the factor that impulse their FDI. In the port terminals of Peru, the placement of fishery products such as frozen fish within refrigerated containers is done manually with the help of gaff hooks. The workers are organized into groups according to their experiences and knowledge in order to meet the production goals, following the quality and safety standards indicated by the organization. The introduction of technologies in the process of cargo stowage did not meet the expected results on reducing the long-term physical effects on operational personnel, who are the ones with the knowledge for the processes, which represents a disregard of the experience and loss of money in technology that is wrongly used by the workers. The challenge of this ergonomic intervention is to analyze the process of cargo stowage of frozen fish under a systematic approach to understand the ways and factors of this job, while getting the workers involved. The objective of this study is to explore possible direct and indirect links of variables inherent to the management and context of manufacturing and service SMEs that could affect the continuity of their export activity. A qualitative design was used, processing verbal data from nine interviews with exporters, using the NVIVO 10.0 software. The results of the study highlight the role played by the experience and learning of top management of MSMEs in export continuity, which may influence other intermediate variables. Likewise, the role of commitment and the involvement of the top management of the Mipyme as a possible aligner of other activities and processes that promote export activity is recognized. The aim of this research is to assess the main determining factors that are nowadays influencing on work participation of individuals in Cuba. In order to accomplish this, the results of the estimates of a probit model on work participation during 2013 are presented. The determining factors which have a positive or a negative impact in the probability of participation in the Cuban work market during that year are identified. It was corroborated that sociodemographic variables are today the ones with greatest impact in the possibility of an individual's work participation in Cuba. Water for human consumption has become in one of the most complex and diffincult resources of the market. The objective of this paper is to analyze some of the determinants influencing economic valuation and commercialization of this resource in the Estado de México. This analysis is supported by some elements of economic theory that allows contrast with the contemporary conditions of access and enjoyment. Migrants' transnational engagement has traditionally been confronted with the migrants' integration into host societies. There are diverse factors that can influence the relationship of migrants with their origins, personal as well as contextual. The objective was to analyze the determinants of transnational engagement of the Colombian population in the Basque Country, and through linear regression analysis to identify a profile of the transnational migrant. The results showed that educational level, the existence of a nuclear family in the country of origin, and a stable situation in the destination country are key factors in transnational engagement. It is concluded that migrants with a stable, secure, and participative position in the destination society engage with their place of origin to a great extent without perceiving an incompatibility between both engagements. Based on a survey of international literature, this paper proposes the classification of citizens' preferences for redistribution in three categories that shape those preferences: imperatives of social justice, risk aversion and the institutional framework. With the data provided by the «Spanish Institute for Fiscal Studies Fiscal Barometer » an empirical application for the Spanish case is carried out. We use a probit model when the endogenous variable is dichotomized, and a linear model estimated through ordinary least squares when the dependent variable is an index constructed by principal components. The results, consistent with the theory and international experience, show that the preferences under study, homogeneously distributed throughout the country, are based on the three described determinants.
