The article discusses on how Indian agricultural libraries have transformed in digital era. Talks over the changing trends in building collection, levels of automation, visibility of libraries on university websites, access to e-resources resources and information literacy. The agricultural libraries have gone through a considerable change in their operations and services, most libraries have the basic IT tools and infrastructure in terms of both hardware's systems and application software's. Grants from ICAR has encouraged libraries to take up digitization projects like Krishi Prabha and resources sharing activities for instance e-GRANTH, and also reinforce their services by bringing about libraries and users community into closer proximity virtually by removing boundaries. Also discusses that most Library websites are in static form and there is a necessity to further advance and enhance library services in interactive ways using web 2.0 technologies. The paper focuses on the impact of lnternet on various library processes, services and products. It also emphasises the challenging role of librarians and information professionals in the present lnternet era. The study covers 687 citation appended to the 30 research articles published in four issues of (Allelopathy Journal . From the citation count it appears that sole research in Allelopathy is quite substantial only 35.52 %. About 64.48 % of the research work / contribution is result of team research. The team size is small ranging from two to five. Of the citation count 89.69% relate to journal article 6.11% to and 3.79 to conference papers. Indian citation have been found 10 be more with 65.65% and foreign citation 34.35% of the total citation.. The study reveals that 30.57% of the total citation are author self citation and 16.16% are journal self citation. The highest percentage of year wise journal citation was found to be 33.18% in the period of 1981-1990. Discusses the growth of literature in LIS as published in two major Library and information science periodical in India ie. ILA and IASLIC Bulletin. Reviews the literature published from 1996-2000 and gives findings based on this study. The study discloses an uneven distribution of published literature among various topics of library and information sciences. IT based papers received less space in both journals and study assets.
