Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the main cause of pursuing orthodontic treatment. Methods And Materials: This was a hospital-based study conducted at Orthodontic Department, 383 subsequent orthodontic patients were inquired to fill out a questionnaire designed specially for them. Nine questions were included in the questionnaire to gather information on demographics, the purpose for seeking orthodontic treatment. Results: The research comprised 383 individuals, 110 males (28.7%),and 273 females (71.3%), Participants age 7 to 30, 94.3% of participants had cosmetic issues, 5.0% had functional issues, and 0.8% had TMD issues. Conclusion: Finally, malocclusions have a significant influence on appearance. However, research on the effects of malocclusion on Life is mixed. Understanding the effects of malocclusion on patients' lives is very significant because it highlights the specific effect on the life of an individual. No research has assessed the severity of the repercussions of known malocclusions, which requires more extensive and rigorous assessments.

Introduction: Growth of the patients occurs in both vertical and horizontal directions. The pattern of the growth can be predicted from both lateral cephalogram and orthopantomogram. GA is one of the important parameter measures from both lateral cephalogram and orthopantomogram which can predict growth direction. In the previous literature GA is measured from LCR and OPG in the vertical facial growth pattern. The objective of this study is to evaluate the reliability of lateral cephalogram compared to orthopantomogram in determining the value of gonial angle in different types of malocclusion groups (Sagittal skeletal class I, II, III). Material and methods: This was a hospital-based study conducted at the Orthodontic Department, Institute of Dentistry LUMHS, Jamshoro/ Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan from 19 October 2020 to 12 April 2021. This study recruited 174 participants of 12 years to 30 years of age, 123 female and 51 male patients. Skeletal class I malocclusion patients are 66, skeletal class II malocclusion patients are 75, and skeletal class III malocclusion patients are 33. Radiographs lateral cephalogram and orthopantomogram were advised to patients and were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the accuracy of the results.

Objective: To determine the association of hyperuricemia with adverse pregnancy outcomes in terms of low birth weight at term pregnancy registered at CMH Lahore. Study Design: Prospective cohort study. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of CMH, Lahore Pakistan, from Aug 2018 to Feb 2019. Methodology: A total of 60 pregnant women with a singleton pregnancy were included in the study. Patients with serum uric acid levels greater or equal to 360 umol/L were included in Group-A or the at-risk Group, and Patients with serum uric acid levels less than 360 umol/L were included in Group-B or the control Group. All women were followed till the delivery. Data regarding adverse pregnancy outcomes (low birth weight) was noted. Results: Mean Serum uric acid levels of 380.33±12.92 umol/L in the Exposed Group and mean Serum uric acid levels of 265.66±29.44 umol/L in the Control Group were noted. Low birth weight was seen 12 (40%) in Exposed Group as compared to 7(23.3%) in Unexposed Group (p=0.165) (RR=1.71). Conclusion: Low birth weight at term was not associated with hyperuricemic pregnancy more than normouricemic pregnancy in our study, probably due to the small sample size.
