Background Acute viral myocarditis (AVMC) is an inflammatory disease of the myocardium. Evidence indicates that dysbiosis of gut microbiome and related metabolites intimately associated with cardiovascular diseases through the gut-heart axis. Methods We built mouse models of AVMC, then applied 16 S rDNA gene sequencing and UPLC-MS/MS metabolomics to explore variations of gut microbiome and disturbances of cardiac metabolic profiles. Results Compared with Control group, analysis of gut microbiota showed lower diversity in AVMC, decreased relative abundance of genera mainly belonging to the phyla Bacteroidetes, and increased of phyla Proteobacteria. Metabolomics analysis showed disturbances of cardiac metabolomics, including 62 increased and 84 decreased metabolites, and mainly assigned to lipid, amino acid, carbohydrate and nucleotide metabolism. The steroid hormone biosynthesis, cortisol synthesis and secretion pathway were particularly enriched in AVMC. Among them, such as estrone 3-sulfate, desoxycortone positively correlated with disturbed gut microbiome. Conclusion In summary, both the structure of the gut microbiome community and the cardiac metabolome were significantly changed in AVMC. Our findings suggest that gut microbiome may participate in the development of AVMC, the mechanism may be related to its role in dysregulated metabolites such as steroid hormone biosynthesis.

Cyantraniliprole targets the ryanodine receptor and shows cross-spectrum activity against a broad range of chewing and sucking pests. In this study, a cyantraniliprole-resistant cotton aphid strain (CyR) developed resistance 17.30-fold higher than that of a susceptible (SS) strain. Bioassay results indicated that CyR developed increased cross-resistance to cyfluthrin, α-cypermethrin, imidacloprid, and acephate. In CyR, piperonyl butoxide synergistically increased the toxicity of cyantraniliprole, α-cypermethrin, and cyfluthrin. The cytochrome P450 activities in the CyR strain were significantly higher than those in the SS strain. The mRNA expression of CYP6CY7, CYP6CY12, CYP6CY21, CYP6CZ1, CYP6DA1, and CYP6DC1 in the CYP3 clade, and CYP380C6, CYP380C12, CYP380C44, CYP4CJ1, and CYP4CJ5 in the CYP4 clade, was significantly higher in CyR than in SS. The depletion of the most abundant CYP380C6 transcript by RNAi also significantly increased the sensitivity of CyR to cyantraniliprole. Transgenic expression of CYP380C6, CYP6CY7, CYP6CY21, and CYP4CJ1 in Drosophila melanogaster suggested that the expression of CYP380C6 and CYP4CJ1 was sufficient to confer cyantraniliprole resistance, with CYP380C6 being the most effective, and that CYP380C6, CYP6CY7, and CYP6CY21 were related to α-cypermethrin cross-resistance. These results indicate the involvement of P450 genes in cyantraniliprole resistance and pyrethroid cross-resistance and provide an overall view of the metabolic factors involved in resistance development.

Prostate carcinoma is a common malignant tumor of the male genitourinary system. Toosendanin can inhibit the biological behavior of a variety of malignant tumor cells (such as ovarian carcinoma, lung carcinoma, and breast carcinoma, etc.), but its effect on the malignant behavior of prostate carcinoma cells and its mechanism are not yet understood. Therefore, this article discusses the influence of toosendanin on the multiplication, apoptosis, migration, and invasion of prostate carcinoma cells and its possible mechanism. Different doses (0.125, 0.25, 0.5 ^M) of toosendanin can reduce the cell viability, number of colonies, number of migrating cells, number of invasive cells, and Bcl-2 protein and FOXC2-AS1 levels of prostate carcinoma cells, as well as increase the apoptosis rate and Bax protein level. Overexpression of FOXC2-AS1 can increase the cell viability, number of colonies formed, number of migrating cells, number of invasive cells, and Bcl-2 protein expression, as well as reduce the rate of apoptosis and Bax protein level after toosendanin treatment of prostate carcinoma cells. It was demonstrated that toosendanin may inhibit the multiplication, migration, and invasion of prostate carcinoma cells and promote its apoptosis by down-regulating FOXC2-AS1 expression.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common lethal urological malignancy. Circular RNAs are assumed to play important roles in cancer development. The objective of the present study was to investigate the role and action mechanism of circ_0008717 in RCC.The expression of circ_0008717, miR-217 and F-box protein 17 (FBXO17) mRNA was detected by a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Cell proliferation was examined using a cell counting kit-8 assay and an 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine assay. Cell apoptosis was assessed by a flow cytometry assay. Cell migration and cell invasion were investigated using a transwell assay. Glycolysis progression was assessed according to the levels of glucose uptake and lactate production. The expression of glycolysis-related proteins and FBXO17 protein was quantified by western blotting. The targets were analyzed by the bioinformatics tools (starBase and circinteractome) and validated by a dual-luciferase reporter assay, RNA pull-down assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay. A xenograft model was established to monitor the role of circ_0008717 in vivo.Circ_0008717 was upregulated in RCC tissues and cells. Silencing circ_0008717 suppressed RCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion and glycolysis but promoted cell apoptosis. MiR-217 was a target of circ_0008717 and bound to the FBXO17 3' untranslated region. The expression of FBXO17 was positively regulated by circ_0008717 but impaired by miR-217 reintroduction. The inhibitory effects of circ_0008717 knockdown on RCC cell malignant behaviors were reversed by miR-217 inhibition or FBXO17 overexpression. Circ_0008717 knockdown inhibited tumor growth in vivo by regulating miR-217 and FBXO17.Circ_0008717 aggravated the progression of RCC by activating FBXO17 through targeting miR-217, which provided a novel mechanism for circ_0008717 to participate in RCC progression.

Cotton plant provides economically important fiber and cottonseed, but cottonseed contributes 20% of the crop value. Cottonseed value could be increased by providing high value bioactive compounds and polyphenolic extracts aimed at improving nutrition and preventing diseases because plant polyphenol extracts have been used as medicinal remedy for various diseases. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of cottonseed extracts on cell viability and gene expression in human colon cancer cells. COLO 225 cells were treated with ethanol extracts from glanded and glandless cottonseed followed by MTT and qPCR assays. Cottonseed extracts showed minor effects on cell viability. qPCR assay analyzed 55 mRNAs involved in several pathways including DGAT, GLUT, TTP, IL, gossypol-regulated and TTP-mediated pathways. Using BCL2 mRNA as the internal reference, qPCR analysis showed minor effects of ethanol extracts from glanded seed coat and kernel and glandless seed coat on mRNA levels in the cells. However, glandless seed kernel extract significantly reduced mRNA levels of many genes involved in glucose transport, lipid biosynthesis and inflammation. The inhibitory effects of glandless kernel extract on gene expression may provide a useful opportunity for improving nutrition and healthcare associated with colon cancer. This in turn may provide the potential of increasing cottonseed value by using ethanol extract as a nutrition/health intervention agent.

A finite element analysis-computational fluid dynamics coupled analysis on the thermo-mechanical fatigue of cylinder head of a turbo-charged diesel engine was performed, and the complete simulation process is illustrated in this paper. In-cylinder combustion analysis and water jacket coolant flow analysis were conducted to provide heat transfer boundary conditions to the temperature field calculation of the cylinder head. Comparing with the conventional finite element analysis of cylinder head by which the heat transfer boundary conditions of the combustion and coolant sides are estimated, the present method coupled the three-dimensional combustion computational fluid dynamics and coolant computational fluid dynamics with the finite element analysis. Both computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis obtain more accurate boundary conditions on their interface from each other, and thus, the present method improves accuracy of thermo-mechanical fatigue prediction. Based on the measured material performance parameters such as stress–strain curve under different temperatures and E–N curve, creep, and oxidation data material performance, the cylinder head–gasket–cylinder block finite element transient stress–strain field was calculated using ABAQUS. The thermo-mechanical fatigue analysis of cylinder head submodel was performed by using FEMFAT software that is based on the Sehitoglu model to predict the thermo-mechanical fatigue life of cylinder head. By comparing the measured and predicted temperatures of cylinder head, the temperature results showed a good agreement, and the error is less than 10%.

Flowering time is a critical trait reflecting the adaptation of plants to their environments. Our initial research has shown that exogenous methyl jasmonate (MeJA) significantly promoted the floret opening of sorghum. To better understand the mechanism of this phenomenon in sorghum, the comparative transcriptome analysis was performed. Transcriptomic analysis showed that the most number of differentially expressed genes was presented between control plants and plants treated with 2.0 mM exogenous MeJA in 2.5 h. A large number of differentially expressed genes were assigned to the subcategory of carbohydrate metabolism and lipid metabolism. The transcriptomic analysis of differentially expressed genes involved in glycolysis/gluconeogenesis and tricarboxylic acid cycle indicated a close relationship between carbohydrates metabolism and flowering. In addition, potassium uptake proteins and aquaporins also played important role in response to the exogenous MeJA in the flowering process. These results provide insights into the effect of MeJA on flowering time and explore the possible molecular mechanism of advancing the flowering period by spraying MeJA. In order to study how to promote the collaborative innovation of green building projects of construction enterprises, this paper establishes an evolutionary game model of suppliers’ participation in collaborative innovation of green building projects of construction enterprises under government governance. Through a numerical simulation, our research analyzes the influence of government tax preference, government infrastructure construction, and environmental pollution punishment on the behavior of the government, suppliers, and construction enterprises. The empirical research shows that the government’s tax incentives will continue to encourage suppliers to choose collaborative innovation. If the government’s short-term tax incentives are small, construction enterprises will evolve in the direction of midway betrayal. When the government’s long-term tax incentives are large, construction enterprises will evolve in the direction of the collaborative innovation of green building projects. Furthermore, the government’s infrastructure support for suppliers to participate in collaborative innovation of green building projects of construction enterprises will encourage suppliers and construction enterprises to choose green building projects for collaborative innovation. With the continuous maturity of green building projects in the construction market, the government has evolved from positive governance to negative governance. The government will take the opportunity to give up infrastructure construction and turn to other supporting policies. Lastly, a low intensity of environmental pollution punishment makes it difficult to promote the construction enterprises to evolve in the direction of collaborative innovation. A moderate intensity of environmental pollution punishment can encourage construction enterprises to evolve in the direction of collaborative innovation, while high-intensity environmental pollution punishment can encourage construction enterprises to choose the direction of midway betrayal. Environmental pollution punishment has no significant impact on suppliers’ selection of collaborative innovation of green building projects in the short term.

This study aims to discover how technology firms accomplish digital innovation through AI adoption. The current research also investigated digital resilience’s role as a mediator and training protocol’s role as a moderator between AI adoption and digital innovation links. The data collection and analysis were conducted using a quantitative method. To examine the research hypotheses, we chose technology firms that face problems regarding the enhancement of digital innovation. The findings confirmed that the digital innovation of technology firms is forecasted through AI adoption. The results proved that digital resilience plays a mediating role between AI adoption and digital innovation links. Technology firms play a key role in the advancement of digital technology. This research study adds to the existing knowledge by offering a digital innovation model with the combined influence of AI adoption, digital resilience, and training protocol. This study will be helpful for top management by showing when, why, and how AI adoption helps firms in their achievement of digital innovation. Moreover, digital resilience’s role is also important in the current digitalized world; thus, we used digital resilience as mediator in this research.

Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) and UDP-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) are major detoxifying enzymes that metabolize plant toxins and insecticides. In the present study, the synergists of piperonyl butoxide, sulfinpyrazone and 5-nitrouracil significantly increased cyantraniliprole and α-cypermethrin toxicity against the resistant strain. The transcripts of UGT341A4, UGT344B4, UGT344D6, UGT344J2 and UGT344M2 increased significantly in the CyR strain compared with the susceptible strain. Among these upregulated genes (including P450s), CYP6CY7 and UGT344B4 were highly expressed in the midgut. Transgenic expression of the P450 and UGT genes in broad body tissues in Drosophila melanogaster indicated that the expression of CYP380C6, CYP4CJ1, UGT341A4, UGT344B4 and UGT344M2 is sufficient to confer cyantraniliprole resistance, and CYP380C6, CYP6CY7, CYP6CY21, UGT341A4 and UGT344M2 are related to α-cypermethrin cross-resistance. The midgut-specific overexpression of CYP380C6, CYP6CY7, CYP6CY21, CYP4CJ1, UGT341A4, UGT344B4 and UGT344M2 significantly increased insensitivity to cyantraniliprole, and CYP380C6, CYP6CY7, CYP6CY21, UGT344B4 and UGT344M2 confer α-cypermethrin cross-resistance. The expression of CYP380C6, CYP4CJ1, UGT341A4 and UGT344M2 in broad tissues or in midgut has similar effects on insensitivity to insecticides; however, CYP6CY7, CYP6CY21 and UGT344B4 are more effective in the midgut. This result indicates that broad body tissues and midgut tissue are involved in insecticide resistance mediated by the candidate P450s and UGTs examined.

In this paper, the castability of Al–6wt%Zn–2wt%Mg–2wt%Cu alloy with different titanium levels was investigated with a constrained rod casting (CRC) mold. With the increasing level of titanium, the hot tearing sensitivity (HTS) index decreased from the value of 17 (without Ti) to the value of 7 (0.06 wt% of Ti). But further increasing of titanium weight percentage will deteriorate the castability of the alloys. The HTS index increased from the value of 7 (0.06 wt% of Ti) to the value of 13 (0.24 wt% of Ti). The grain sizes and grain morphologies of as-cast as well as solid solution-treated samples with different Ti levels were measured and analyzed. For the CRC mold castings, the grain size decreased with the increasing of Ti levels in the as-cast samples, and the grain morphology was changed from dendrite to globular. The Ti level required for minimum grain size decreased as the cooling rate of solidification increased. After solid solution treatment, abnormal grain growth occurred only in samples with less than 0.1 wt% of Ti. The tensile samples with different Ti levels were cast in the tilt pouring cast machine with permanent mold. The tensile test results of heat-treated samples show that the samples with grain growth during heat treatment did not affect the tensile properties.

Uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) catalyze the conjugation of small lipophilic endogenous and exogenous compounds with sugars to produce water-soluble glycosides, playing an important role in insect endobiotic regulation and xenobiotic detoxification. In this study, two UGT-inhibitors, sulfinpyrazone and 5-nitrouracil, significantly increased spirotetramat toxicity against third instar nymphs of resistant Aphis gossypii, whereas there were no synergistic effects in apterous adult aphids, suggesting UGT involvement in spirotetramat resistance in cotton aphids. Furthermore, the UHPLC-MS/MS was employed to determine the content of spirotetramat and its four metabolites (S-enol, S-glu, S-mono, S-keto) in the honeydew of resistant cotton aphids under spirotetramat treatment. No residual spirotetramat was detected in the honeydew, while its four metabolites were detected at a S-enol: S-glu: S-mono: S-keto ratio of 69.30: 6.54: 1.44: 1.00. Therefore, glycoxidation plays a major role in spirotetramat inactivation and excretion in resistant aphids. Compared with the susceptible strain, the transcriptional levels of UGT344M2 were significantly upregulated in nymphs and adults of the resistant strain. RNA interference of UGT344M2 dramatically increased spirotetramat toxicity in nymphs, but no such effect were found in the resistant adult aphids. Overall, UGT-mediated glycoxidation were found to be involved in spirotetramat resistance. The suppression of UGT344M2 significantly increased the sensitivity of resistant nymphs to spirotetramat, suggesting that UGT344M2 upregulation might be associated with spirotetramat detoxification. This study provides an overview of the involvement of metabolic factors, UGTs, in the development of spirotetramat resistance.

ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters represent the largest known group of efflux pumps, utilizing ATP to translocate a broad spectrum of substrates across lipid membranes, which play an important role in phase III of the detoxification process. The presence of ABC transporters and their potential association with insecticide resistance have not been investigated in Aphis gossypii, one of the most economically important agricultural pests worldwide. In this study, the ABC transporter inhibitor-verapamil significantly increased thiamethoxam toxicity against resistant cotton aphids, suggesting that ABCs are involved in thiamethoxam resistance. ABC transporter genes were identified using the A. gossypii genome database and transcriptome data. A total of 69 ABC transporters were identified and grouped into seven subfamilies (A-G), including 4 ABCAs, 5 ABCBs, 25 ABCCs, 2 ABCDs, 1 ABCE, 4 ABCFs and 30 ABCGs. Of these ABC transporters, 53 were predicted to be functional, 19 were full transporters, 30 were half-transporters and 4 had two NBDs. Subfamilies C and G accounted for 77% (32 and 45%, respectively) of the genes. The transcripts of 20 of 26 ABCs based on the transcriptome were upregulated, and ABCA1, ABCA2, ABCB1, ABCB4, ABCB8, ABCD1, ABCD2, ABCE1, ABCF1, ABCF3, ABCG7, ABCG15, ABCG17, ABCG24, ABCG27, ABCG30, MRP1, MRP7, MRP14 and MRP21 transcripts were significantly increased in the thiamethoxan resistant strain compared to the susceptible strain with qRT-PCR. The suppression of overexpressed ABCs (ABCA2, ABCD1, ABCD2, ABCE1 and ABCG15) significantly increased the thiamethoxam sensitivity of resistant aphids. These results suggest that ABC transporters might be involved in thiamethoxam resistance in A. gossypii and will facilitate further work to validate the functional roles of these ABCs in thiamethoxam resistance. These results are useful for understanding the multiple resistance mechanisms of thiamethoxam and the management of insecticide-resistant cotton aphids.

Uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glycosyltransferases (UGTs) are major phase II detoxification enzymes involved in glycosylation of lipophilic endobiotics and xenobiotics, including phytoalexins. Nicotine, one of the most abundant secondary plant metabolites, is highly toxic to herbivorous insects. Plant-herbivore competition has been the major impetus for evolution of large superfamilies of UGTs and other detoxification enzymes. However, UGT functions in Myzus persicae adaptation have remained unknown. In this study, UGT inhibitors (sulfinpyrazone and 5-nitrouracil) significantly increased nicotine toxicity in M. persicae nicotianae, suggesting UGTs may be involved in nicotine tolerance. One hundred one UGT transcripts identified from the M. persicae genome/transcriptome were renamed according to UGT Nomenclature Committee guidelines and clustered into 11 families: UGT329, UGT330, UGT339, UGT341-UGT345, and UGT348-UGT350. UGT344 contained the most UGTs (fifty-seven). Ten UGTs (UGT330A3, UGT339A2, UGT341A6, UGT342B3, UGT343C3, UGT344D5, UGT344D8, UGT348A3, UGT349A3 and UGT350A3) were overexpressed in M. persicae nicotianae compared with M. persicae sensu stricto. UGT330A3/UGT344D5/UGT348A3/UGT349A3 knockdown significantly increased M. persicae nicotianae nicotine sensitivity, suggesting UGT upregulation in this subspecies may be associated with nicotine tolerance and thus host adaptation. This study reveals possible UGTs relevant to nicotine adaptation in tobacco-consuming M. persicae nicotianae and might facilitate further validation of the roles of these UGTs in nicotine tolerance.

Background Methyl Jasmonate (MeJA) could promote the opening of sorghum florets, but the molecular mechanism remains unclear. Objective We aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism of exogenous MeJA in promoting the opening of sorghum florets. Methods Hybrid sorghum Aikang-8 was selected as the test material in this study. Sorghum plants of uniform growth with approximately 20%-25% florets open were selected and treated with 0, 0.5 and 2.0 mmol/L of MeJA. Totally there were 27 samples with lodicules removed were obtained at different time points and used for the transcriptome analysis using the BGISEQ_500RS platform. Results The results showed the sorghum florets opened earlier than the control after the treatment with exogenous MeJA, and the promotive effect increased along with the increase of exogenous MeJA concentration. The number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in plasma cells increased with the increase of MeJA concentration, whether up- or down-regulated, after the exogenous MeJA treatment. Besides, the number of metabolic pathways was also positively correlated with the concentration of MeJA. GO and KEGG analysis suggested the DEGs were mainly enriched in starch and sucrose metabolism-related pathways (i.e., LOC8063704, LOC8083539 and LOC8056206), plant hormone signal transduction pathways (i.e., LOC8084842, LOC8072010, and LOC8057408), energy metabolic pathway (i.e., LOC8076139) and the α-linolenic acid metabolic pathway (i.e., LOC8055636, LOC8057399, LOC8063048 and LOC110430730). Functional analysis of target genes showed that two genes named LOC-1 (LOC8063704) and LOC-2 (LOC8076139) could induce the earlier flowering of Arabidopsis thaliana. Conclusion The results of this study suggest that exogenous MeJA treatments could induce the up- or down- regulation of genes related to starch and sucrose metabolism, -linolenic acid metabolism and plant hormone signal transduction pathways in the plasma cells of sorghum florets, thereby promoting the opening of sorghum florets.

The Chinese chestnut (Castanea mollissima) seed provides a rich source of carbohydrates as food and feed. However, little is known about starch biosynthesis in the seeds. The objectives of this study were to determine seed composition profiles and identify genes involved in starch and sucrose metabolism. Metabolite analysis showed that starch was the major component and rapidly accumulated during seed endosperm development. Amylopectin was approximately 3-fold of amylose content in chestnut starch. Illumina platform-based transcriptome sequencing generated 56671 unigenes in two cDNA libraries from seed endosperms collected at 45 and 75 days after flowering (DAF). A total of 1537 unigenes showed expression differences ≥2-fold in the two stages of seeds including 570 up-regulated and 967 down-regulated unigenes. One hundred and fifty-two unigenes were identified as involved in starch and sucrose metabolism, including 1 for glycogenin glucosyltransferase, 4 for adenylate transporter (brittle1-type), 3 for ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase (AGP, not brittle2- or shrunken2-type), 3 for starch synthase (SS), 2 for starch branching enzyme, 5 for starch debranching enzyme, 11 for sucrose synthase, and 3 for sucrose-phosphate synthase. Among them, 58 unigenes showed a ≥2-fold expression difference between the 45 and 75 DAF seeds including 11 up- and 47 down-regulated unigenes. The expression of 21 unigenes putatively coding for major enzymes in starch and sucrose metabolism was validated by qPCR using RNA from five seed stages. Expression profiles and correlation analysis indicated that the mRNA levels of AGP (large and small subunits), granule-bound SS2, and soluble SS1 and SS4 were well-correlated with starch accumulation in the seeds. This study suggests that the starch biosynthesis pathway in Chinese chestnut is similar to that of potato tuber/Arabidopsis leaf and differs from that of maize endosperm. The information provides valuable metabolite and genetic resources for future research in starch and sucrose metabolism in Chinese chestnut tree.

Objective To analyze the migration and expression of CD34

The tilt pour gravity casting process coupled with the Controlled Diffusion Solidification (CDS) process technology was employed to demonstrate the ability to cast AA7050 wrought alloy into high integrity near net shaped components with high strength and ductility. The CDS technology involves mixing two precursor alloys at different thermal mass and subsequently casting the resultant mixture into near net shaped cast components. The process enables casting of the high performance Al wrought alloys into near net shaped components by circumventing the problem of hot tearing by obtaining a non-dendritic morphology of the primary Al phase. This study presents the process and alloy parameters necessary for the casting of 7050 Al wrought alloy (Al-Zn-Mg-Cu) using the CDS process technology. The uniaxial tensile properties after various heat treatment conditions such as as-cast, solutionizing and annealing mandatory to the development of the artificial ageing were investigated and presented along with in-depth and quantitative microstructural analyses.

Plant hormones play important roles in regulating every aspect of growth, development, and metabolism of plants. We are interested in understanding hormonal regulation of floret opening and closure in plants. This is a particularly important problem for hybrid rice because regulation of flowering time is vitally important in hybrid rice seed production. However, little was known about the effects of plant hormones on rice flowering. We have shown that jasmonate and methyl jasmonate play significant roles in promoting rice floret opening. In this study, we investigated the effects of auxins including indole-3-acidic acid (IAA), indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), 1-naphthalene-acetic acid (NAA), 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2,4-D) and 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid (DIC) and abscisic acid (ABA) on floret closure of four fertile and three sterile varieties of rice. The results from field studies in three growing seasons in 2013-2015 showed that the percentages of closed florets were significantly lower in plants treated with IAA, IBA, 2,4-D, DIC and NAA and that the durations of floret opening were significantly longer in plants treated with the same auxins. The auxins exhibited time- and concentration-dependant effects on floret closure. ABA displayed opposite effects of auxins because it increased the percentages of floret closure and decreased the length of floret opening of rice varieties. The degree of auxin-inhibiting and ABA-promoting effects on floret closure was varied somewhat but not significantly different among the rice varieties. Endogenous IAA levels were the highest in florets collected shortly before opening followed by a sharp decline in florets with maximal angles of opening and a significant jump of IAA levels shortly after floret closure in both fertile and sterile rice plants. ABA levels showed an opposite trend in the same samples. Our results showed that auxins delayed but ABA promoted the closure of rice floret regardless of the varieties.

Floret opening of excised spikelets in Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench and Sorghum Sudanesis (Piper) Stapf was significantly stimulated by immersing into 2 mM methyl jasmonate (MeJA) solution. In male sterile (MS) lines of Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench, floret opening was more sensitive to MeJA than that in maintainer (MT) lines. Salicylic acid (SA) could abolish the effect of MeJA on the opening of spikelets. These data indicate that MeJA plays a role in floret opening in sorghum, and that SA interacts with MeJA in regulating of this process.

We screened and isolated coronatine-producing stains from various samples.The strains were isolated and selected from samples by the methods of streak plate and serial dilution. The samples were sick leaves/branches and soil in which plants got sick according to the symptoms of leaf blight disease and tuber enlargement. Coronatine production was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The strain was characterized by the physiological and biochemical analysis, the determination of (G + C) mol% contents and 16S rDNA sequencing. The molecule structure of the fermentation product was identified based on the data of ultraviolet spectrum, infrared spectrum and mass spectrum.Strain BCC933 was gram-negative, polar flagella, short rod and non-spore-forming bacterium and accumulated poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate (PHB). It producted catalase, but not arginine dihydrolase nor oxidase,couldn't grow at temperature 41 degrees C. It hadn't the abilities to hydrolyze starch and gelatine. No nitrate reduction and denitrification activity was detected. The (G + C) mol% content was 67.2%. We analyzed 16S rDNA nucleotide sequence, and ascertained the phylogenetic position of the strain.Strain BCC933 with coronatine biosynthesis ability was identified as Burkholderia cepacia, which hasn't been reported up to date.

In order to reduce the sensitivity of helical face-gear drive to misalignments, an new approach to applying double crowned helical pinion of a face gear drive has been investigated. The double crowned helical pinion is determined by a parabolic rack-cutter and a plunging grinding disk. The computer simulation results show that the bearing contact are not sensitive to the errors of misalignment. The study concludes that a more favorable type parabolic functional geometric transmission errors have been obtained in the new type gear drive geometry design.

This paper has explained the reasons that consumers have a great deal of distrust to the online store under e-commerce environment. The key is the risk, thus we concentrate on it in e-commerce's study. We intend to design a suit of mechanism of trust to reduce consumers' suspicion and risk while consumers are doing shopping on the Internet, in order to promote the prosperity of e-commerce in China.
