In the evolving field of educational technology, knowledge mapping has emerged as a pivotal tool for university English education. This study examines its role in building a theoretical resource base to enhance the efficiency of organizing, accessing, and utilizing teaching materials. This research constructs a knowledge graph for English teaching resources by employing a seven-step process to create a domain ontology and an enhanced TF-IDF algorithm for keyword extraction. Results show the knowledge graph significantly boosts information retrieval accuracy and user satisfaction. The experimental group reported a 25% increase in learning efficiency, a 30% enhancement in the quality of learning outcomes, and a 12.63% rise in average grades, outperforming the control group. The findings suggest knowledge mapping substantially benefits the development of a theoretical resource base for university English teaching, improving teaching and learning quality.

In the process of digitisation of medical data,choosing the right technology for efficient processing and accurate analysis of medical data is a common problem faced by the medical field today.The use of knowledge graph technology with the excellent association and reasoning capabilities to process and analyse medical data can better enable applications such as wise information technology of medicine and aided diagnoses.The complete process of constructing a medical knowledge graph includes know-ledge extraction,knowledge fusion and knowledge reasoning.Knowledge extraction can be subdivided into entity extraction,relationship extraction and attribute extraction,while knowledge fusion mainly includes entity alignment and entity disambiguation.Firstly,the constructiontechnologies and practical applications of medical knowledge graphs are summarised,and the development of the technologies is clarified for each specific construction process.On this basis,the relevant techniques are introduced,and their advantages and limitations are explained.Secondly,introducing several medical knowledge graphs that are being successfully applied.Finally,based on the current state of technology and applications of knowledge graphs in the medical field,future research directions for knowledge graphs in technology and applications are given.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the role of circ_0032704 in sorafenib‐resistant hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: The expression of circ_0032704, miR‐514a‐3p, and programmed death‐ligand 1 (PD‐L1) mRNA was detected by quantitative real‐time PCR (qPCR). The expression of multidrug resistant‐related proteins, migration/invasion‐related proteins, exosome‐related proteins, and PD‐L1 protein was detected by western blot. Cell viability was detected by CCK‐8 assay. Cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were assessed by EdU assay, wound healing assay, and transwell assay. The binding between miR‐514a‐3p and circ_0032704 or PD‐L1 was verified by RIP assay, pull‐down assay, and dual‐luciferase reporter assay. Cell‐ or serum‐derived exosomes were isolated and identified by TEM and NTA. Xenograft models were established to determine the effect of circ_0032704 on drug resistance in vivo. Results: Circ_0032704 was overexpressed in sorafenib‐resistant HCC tissues and cells. Circ_0032704 knockdown reduced sorafenib resistance in HCC cells and inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of sorafenib‐resistant HCC cells, while these effects were reversed by PD‐L1 overexpression. We found that circ_0032704 positively regulated PD‐L1 expression via targeting miR‐514a‐3p. Exosomes with circ_0032704 inhibition reduced sorafenib resistance in HCC cells and inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of sorafenib‐resistant HCC cells. Exosomes with circ_0032704 inhibition also inhibited tumor growth in vivo. The expression of circ_0032704 in exosomes was stable and possessed diagnostic value. Conclusion: Circ_0032704 enhanced sorafenib resistance in HCC and promoted the malignant development of sorafenib‐resistant HCC. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is a chronic disease resulting from the interaction of various factors such as social elements, autoimmunity, genetics, and gut microbiota. Alarmingly, recent epidemiological data points to a surging incidence of IBD, underscoring an urgent imperative: to delineate the intricate mechanisms driving its onset. Such insights are paramount, not only for enhancing our comprehension of IBD pathogenesis but also for refining diagnostic and therapeutic paradigms. Monocytes, significant immune cells derived from the bone marrow, serve as precursors to macrophages (Ms) and dendritic cells (DCs) in the inflammatory response of IBD. Within the IBD milieu, their role is twofold. On the one hand, monocytes are instrumental in precipitating the disease's progression. On the other hand, their differentiated offsprings, namely moMs and moDCs, are conspicuously mobilized at inflammatory foci, manifesting either pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory actions. The phenotypic spectrum of these effector cells, intriguingly, is modulated by variables such as host genetics and the subtleties of the prevailing inflammatory microenvironment. Notwithstanding their significance, a palpable dearth exists in the literature concerning the roles and mechanisms of monocytes in IBD pathogenesis. This review endeavors to bridge this knowledge gap. It offers an exhaustive exploration of monocytes' origin, their developmental trajectory, and their differentiation dynamics during IBD. Furthermore, it delves into the functional ramifications of monocytes and their differentiated progenies throughout IBD's course. Background: To explore the predictive value of venous cord blood neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) for Early-onset sepsis (EOS) in preterm infants. Methods: A prospective cohort of neonates with gestational ages

Objectives: We conducted this multicenter, retrospective cohort study aiming to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of vedolizumab (VDZ) and infliximab (IFX) in biologic‐naïve patients with moderate‐to‐severe ulcerative colitis (UC). Methods: Biologic‐naïve patients with moderate‐to‐severe UC who were treated with IFX or VDZ for at least 14 weeks at three tertiary hospitals in southwest China between January 2021 and January 2023 were retrospectively included. Efficacy of the biologics was evaluated based on the steroid‐free clinical remission rate, clinical remission rate, and mucosal healing rate at Weeks 14 and 52. Adverse events related to biologic use were recorded. Results: Altogether 122 biologic‐naïve patients with moderate‐to‐severe UC were included. No marked differences in the steroid‐free clinical remission rate and clinical remission rate were observed between the two groups at Week 14 or Week 52 (P > 0.05). The VDZ group exhibited a higher mucosal healing rate at Week 14 compared to the IFX group (33.3% vs 16.9%, P = 0.036), while that at Week 52 did not differ between the two groups (65.6% vs 47.1%, P = 0.098). There was no statistically significant difference in the rate of adverse events between the two groups (P = 0.071). Conclusion: VDZ and IFX showed comparable clinical efficacy and safety profiles and can be used as viable first‐line therapeutic options for biologic‐naïve patients with moderate‐to‐severe UC. Continuously progressive hepatic fibrosis might cause chronic liver diseases, resulting in hepatic failure. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) residing in the liver might induce and influence hepatic fibrosis. In the present study, microRNA 3074 (miR-3074) was found increased within transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β)-activated HSCs and enriched within the TGF-β signaling. In activated HSCs by TGF-β, miR-3074 overexpression aggravated TGF-β-induced fibrotic changes, whereas miR-3074 inhibition exerted opposite effects. miR-3074 directly targeted bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP7) and inhibited BMP7 expression. Under TGF-β induction, overexpressed BMP7 notably attenuated the promotive roles of miR-3074 overexpression in TGF-β-activated HSCs. Within carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-caused liver fibrosis murine model, miR-3074 agomir administration promoted, while LV-BMP7 administration alleviated CCl4-induced fibrotic changes; LV-BMP7 significantly attenuated the effects of miR-3074 agomir. Lastly, mmu-miR-3074 also targeted mouse BMP7 and inhibited mouse BMP7 expression. In conclusion, the miR-3074/BMP7 axis regulates TGF-β-caused activation of HSCs in vitro and CCl4-caused murine liver fibrosis in vivo. BMP7-mediated Smad1/5/8 activation might be involved. A common challenge people face in today's cross-cultural world is how to solve a series of adaptation problems caused by cultural conflict. Exploring Bruce Lee's successful cross-cultural experiences through psychobiography offers some inspiration and thoughts. How did Bruce Lee successfully integrate martial arts, symbolising the Eastern culture, with films representing the Western culture, finally propelling kung fu films onto the international stage? Numerous publicly available materials about Bruce Lee were collected for this study, and the research data were evaluated using thematic analysis. Bruce Lee's success benefitted from reconstructing cultural environment information and exercising his initiative to shape a new cultural environment. His life experiences reflect individual cognition behaviour and social and cultural environments as two aspects of a dynamic circulation system and show that the two have reached internal and spiralling harmony through mutual integration. In the context of the Oriental collectivism culture's family narrative, Chinese adults' personality development features the unique theme of 'inheritance and innovation'. Continuous cropping of the important achlorophyllous medicinal orchid Gastrodia elata Blume causes an imbalance in soil microecology leading to soil-borne diseases. However, the impacts on different land covers remain largely unknown. Hence, this study aimed to investigate changes in the soil nutrient composition and the global microbial community structure in rhizospheres of G. elata cultivated on a barren slope (HPGJ) and under a forest (LXT) using integrated shotgun metagenomics and an analysis of soil chemical properties. High-throughput sequencing revealed an increase in the abundance of Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Mucoromycota, Basidiomycota, and Ascomycota, which drive N- and C-cycling genes in HPGJ and LXT. Notably, the fungal community was significantly improved in the HPGJ (from 0.17% to 23.61%) compared to the LXT (from 0.2% to 2.04%). Consequently, mineral cycling was enhanced in the HPGJ, resulting in a more improved soil nutrient composition than in the LXT. The soil chemical properties analysis unveiled a significant increase in the contents of the total nitrogen, NO3−-N, organic matter, total carbon, organic carbon, total sulfur, and total phosphorus in the HPGJ, while no changes were recorded in the LXT. It was noteworthy that the abundance of pathogenic microorganisms increased significantly in the HPGJ compared to the LXT. University students, as a special group, face multiple psychological pressures and challenges, making them susceptible to social anxiety disorder. However, there are currently no articles using machine learning algorithms to identify predictors of social anxiety disorder in university students. This study aims to use a stacked ensemble model to predict social anxiety disorder in university students and compare it with other machine learning models to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model. AUC and F1 are used as classification evaluation metrics. The experimental results show that in this dataset, the model combining logistic regression, Naive Bayes, and KNN algorithms as the first layer and Naive Bayes as the second layer performs better than traditional machine learning algorithms. Background: Endometrial cancer (EC) is one of the most prevalent gynecologic cancers, which poses a serious threat to women's health worldwide. Olaparib, the first FDA-approved PARP inhibitor for the treatment of BRCA-mutated breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancers, triggers apoptosis of cancer cells through synthetic lethality by inhibiting PARP1/2 enzymatic activity and BRCA1/2-dependent homologous recombination (HR) repair deficiency. However, the synergistic lethal effects between Olaparib and inhibitors of other DNA damage response proteins, such as ATM, PTEN and RAD51, are still unknown.Aim: Exploring the synergistic lethal effect between Olaparib and KU-55933 on EC.Methods: The GEPIA database was used to test EC patient survival rate. CCK8 was used for cell viability assays. Western blot was used for examining gene levels. The wound healing assay was used to detect cell migration ability. Flow cytometry was used for detecting the apoptosis rate. All experimental conditions were repeated independently in triplicate and analyzed in three separate experiments.Results: In this study, we discovered that the frequency of ATM alterations in endometrial cancer reaches nearly 20% and that there is a positive correlation between ATM alterations and prognosis. Furthermore, we discovered that endometrial cells with low expression levels of ATM are sensitive to Olaparib. Treatment with KU-55933, a specific inhibitor of ATM, significantly enhanced the sensitivity of endometrial cancer cells to Olaparib, as evidenced by colony formation, cell migration and apoptosis assay. Further analysis revealed that KU-55933 potentiates Olaparib-induced cell apoptosis by inhibiting ATM phosphorylation.Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that inhibiting ATM could enhance the sensitivity of endometrial cancer to Olaparib, thereby providing a potential alternative treatment for the clinical treatment of endometrial cancer. Background: With the aging population and the ongoing pandemic, older persons account for a large proportion of ICU admissions. Despite numerous studies on the impact of COVID‐19 on older persons, there has been a small body of research investigating nursing practice with critically ill older patients admitted to ICU for COVID‐19. Aims: To explore current challenges in the nursing care of older persons with severe COVID‐19 through the experience of frontline nurses. Study Design: A qualitative descriptive design was used. In‐depth and semi‐structured interviews with 18 ICU nurses were conducted to explore the experience of providing care for older persons with severe COVID‐19 in the Omicron wave. A content analysis approach was adopted to analyse qualitative data. Findings: Three themes emerged as follows: (1) no plan survives first contact with the enemy, (2) expectations versus Reality and (3) difficulty in providing holistic care. Conclusions: Challenges could be encountered in different stages of providing care for older persons with severe COVID‐19, including the preparation and training of knowledge and skills in the early stage, the challenges posed by old age in the diagnostic and treatment stage and the challenges of psychological care and rehabilitation care. Relevance to Clinical Practice: With the regular prevention and control of COVID‐19, our study provides guidance for establishing measures (training courses of ICU nurses) to improve the nursing quality of older persons with severe COVID‐19.
