Chinese merchant manuals emerged in the late Ming dynasty and became a valuable source of business education in imperial China. These manuals have been analysed by academics for a number of purposes including the technical side of merchant operations, charting commercial change in history and changes in merchant thought. However, they have not been analysed for their relevance to entrepreneurship education. This paper draws on translations of merchant manuals to explore their relevance for modern entrepreneurship education, with a particular focus on the late Ming dynasty manual Shanggu Xingmi (Solutions for Merchants) which was published in 1635. Although set within a Confucian value system, and focused on merchants (traders) not producers, the manuals address issues of importance to entrepreneurs operating a business within any context. Topics of importance include budget management, contractual relationships, market instability, staff management (including hiring, discipline and training), reputation (brand) management, risk management, timing of action, ethics and morality, avoiding temptation, and the importance of industry knowledge, or what Warren Buffett would call your 'circle of competence'. The paper finishes with a discussion on the relevance of this knowledge to modern texts on entrepreneurship and small business management. Despite the different in time epochs, many of the basics of business remain the same today. Hence, this paper asks if modern entrepreneurship education gives enough attention to the basics of business. This paper concludes by asking whether contemporary entrepreneurship education pays sufficient attention to contractual relationships, budget management, and the dangers and traps of unstable business environments. In order to fully understand history and current situation of computer technologies application in China's education, and answer the four research questions. This article followed evidence-based research path to search and screen the relevant literature of computer technologies of education in China, then analyzed the 49 target literature from pioneers, utilizing and positive effects, and educational approaches of the computer technology of education three aspects. Result shows that with the efforts of three pioneers, Xia Peisu, Xu Jiafu, Xu Zhenyu and their teams, China has tried to establish smart learning environment and made full use of e-learning tools such as e-textbook, e-education game, and education app, making education to be convenient, efficient, funny and diversified, and promote education reform. Computer-assisted instruction is the most common way of education approach with computer technology in China. There is an increasing interest in how to train and use national experts around the world. Major advanced countries are putting their national efforts into attracting global experts overseas and preventing domestic experts from flowing out of their countries. China has also endeavored much to attract global experts for its economic development and the global expert recruitment plan has passed a distinctive development process, which was different from that of western countries, since its aim was to maintain and develop its socialist economic system. After the Reform and Openness Policy began in 1978, China regarded global experts recruitment as one of the most important elements for strengthening its national competitiveness and has implemented various initiatives to attract global experts from foreign countries, one of which being the implementation of the Recruitment Program of Global Experts at both central and local governmental levels. Based on our findings, this research suggests policy implications in terms of the major tasks for establishing and pushing forward the Global Expert Inducement Policy of world. Business organizations lose about 5% of their revenues to fraud each year, which can exceed 3.5 trillion (USD) worldwide. The existence and persistence of financial statement fraud (FSF) is detrimental to the safety, soundness, and efficiency of the financial markets. This study is intended to improve educational and practical skills of forensic accountants and their audit efficacy in discovering FSF by using Big Data and data analytics and algorithms. We discuss the use of Big Data and data analytics in forensic accounting practices and then examine the desired educational and practical skills of forensic accountants in the age of Big Data. This study gathers opinions from both Chinese academics and practitioners regarding the importance, demand, relevance, benefits, coverage and use of Big Data in forensic accounting education and practices. Results indicate that: (1) the demand for and interest in Big Data/data analytics and forensic accounting will continue to increase; (2) Big Data/data analytics and forensic accounting should be integrated into the business curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (3) many of the suggested Big Data topics should be integrated into business and accounting curricula and (4) many attributes such as availability of Big Data and Big Data techniques including predictive, descriptive and prescriptive analytics are important in improving forensic accounting education and practice.
