The article discusses the ideas behind the revision of the code of ethics of the U.S. Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). It emphasizes various considerations of the ethical aspects of journalism including the lack of staff, finances and other resources of media outlets in embarking to such changes, their code will not so different with the one exist and the lack of professional standards. It also mentions that codes carry strong selling point and are enforceable.
