With global warming, high temperature (HT) has become one of the most common abiotic stresses resulting in significant crop yield losses, especially for jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.), an important temperate economic crop cultivated worldwide. This study aims to explore the coping mechanism of jujube to HT stress at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels, including identifying differentially expressed miRNAs and mRNAs as well as elucidating the critical pathways involved. High-throughput sequencing analyses of miRNA and mRNA were performed on jujube leaves, which were collected from "Fucumi" (heat-tolerant) and "Junzao" (heat-sensitive) cultivars subjected to HT stress (42 °C) for 0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 days, respectively. The results showed that 45 known miRNAs, 482 novel miRNAs, and 13,884 differentially expressed mRNAs (DEMs) were identified. Among them, integrated analysis of miRNA target genes prediction and mRNA-seq obtained 1306 differentially expressed miRNAs-mRNAs pairs, including 484, 769, and 865 DEMIs-DEMs pairs discovered in "Fucuimi", "Junzao" and two genotypes comparative groups, respectively. Furthermore, functional enrichment analysis of 1306 DEMs revealed that plant-pathogen interaction, starch and sucrose metabolism, spliceosome, and plant hormone signal transduction were crucial pathways in jujube leaves response to HT stress. The constructed miRNA-mRNA network, composed of 20 DEMIs and 33 DEMs, displayed significant differently expressions between these two genotypes. This study further proved the regulatory role of miRNAs in the response to HT stress in plants and will provide a theoretical foundation for the innovation and cultivation of heat-tolerant varieties. The relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and colorectal cancer (CRC) has long been extensively recognized, but their crosstalk mechanisms based on gene regulation remain elusive. In our study, for the first time, bulk RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq data were used to explore the shared molecular mechanisms between T2DM and CRC. Moreover, Connectivity Map and molecular docking were employed to determine potential drugs targeting the candidate targets. Eight genes (EVPL, TACSTD2, SOX4, ETV4, LY6E, MLXIPL, ENTPD3, UGP2) were identified as characteristic comorbidity genes for T2DM and CRC, with EVPL and ENTPD3 further identified as core comorbidity genes. Our results demonstrated that upregulation of EVPL and downregulation of ENTPD3 were intrinsic molecular features throughout T2DM and CRC and were significantly associated with immune responses, immune processes, and abnormal immune landscapes in both diseases. Single-cell analysis highlighted a cancer-associated fibroblast (CAF) subset that specifically expressed ENTPD3 in CRC, which exhibited high heterogeneity and unique tumor-suppressive features that were completely different from classical cancer-promoting CAFs. Furthermore, ENTPD3+ CAFs could notably predict immunotherapy response in CRC, holding promise to be an immunotherapy biomarker at the single-cell level. Finally, we identified that droperidol may be a novel drug simultaneously targeting EVPL and ENTPD3. In conclusion, previous studies have often focused solely on metabolic alterations common to T2DM and CRC. Our study establishes EVPL and ENTPD3 as characteristic molecules and immune biomarkers of comorbidity in T2DM and CRC patients, and emphasizes the importance of considering immunological mechanisms in the co-development of T2DM and CRC. Local heat and active site coordination of the catalyst to improve electrocatalytic water splitting performance. [Display omitted] • An electrolyzer required only a 1.5 V battery or a 1.53 V solar panel to drive overall water splitting. • The presence of NIR irradiation leads to a 24.6 % and 15.8 % increase in catalytic efficiency for HER and OER. • The combination of a generic heterostructure based on Co 9 S 8 with other electrocatalysts also contributes to the enhancement of the photothermal effect. • The heterostructure exhibited strong bifunctional activities and stabilities in both the OER and HER. The increase of reaction temperature of electrocatalysts and the construction of heterogeneous structures is regarded as an efficient method to improve the electrocatalytic water splitting activity. Here, we report an approach to enhance the local heat and active sites of the catalyst by building a heterostructure with Co 9 S 8 to significantly improve its electrocatalytic performance. The as-fabricated Co 9 S 8 @Ce-NiCo LDH/NF electrode possesses a notable photothermal ability, as it effectively converts near-infrared (NIR) light into the local heat, owing to its significant optical absorption. Leveraging these favorable qualities, the prepared Co 9 S 8 @Ce-NiCo LDH/NF electrode showed impressive performance in both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) (η 100 = 144 mV) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) (η 100 = 229 mV) under NIR light. Compared to the absence of the NIR light, the presence of NIR irradiation leads to a 24.6 % increase in catalytic efficiency for HER and a 15.8 % increase for OER. Additionally, other dual-functional electrocatalysts like NiCo-P, NiFeMo, and NiFe(OH) x also demonstrated significantly enhanced photothermal effects and improved catalytic performance owing to the augmented photothermal conversion when combined with Co 9 S 8. This work offers novel pathways for the development of photothermal-electrocatalytic systems that facilitate economically efficient and energy-conserving overall water splitting processes. Ensuring precise prediction of the remaining useful life (RUL) for bearings in rolling machinery is crucial for preventing sudden machine failures and optimizing equipment maintenance strategies. Since the significant interference encountered in real industrial environments and the high complexity of the machining process, accurate and robust RUL prediction of rolling bearings is of tremendous research importance. Hence, a novel RUL prediction model called CNN-VAE-MBiLSTM is proposed in this paper by integrating advantages of convolutional neural network (CNN), variational autoencoder (VAE), and multiple bi-directional long short-term memory (MBiLSTM). The proposed approach includes a CNN-VAE model and a MBiLSTM model. The CNN-VAE model performs well for automatically extracting low-dimensional features from time–frequency spectrum of multi-axis signals, which simplifies the construction of features and minimizes the subjective bias of designers. Based on these features, the MBiLSTM model achieves a commendable performance in the prediction of RUL for bearings, which independently captures sequential characteristics of features in each axis and further obtains differences among multi-axis features. The performance of the proposed approach is validated through an industrial case, and the result indicates that it exhibits a higher accuracy and a better anti-noise capacity in RUL predictions than comparable methods. Haze or cloud always shrouds satellite images, obscuring valuable geographic information for military surveillance, natural calamity surveillance and mineral resource exploration. Satellite image dehazing (SID) provides the possibility for better applications of satellite images. Most of the existing dehazing methods are tailored for natural images and are not very effective for satellite images with non-homogeneous haze since the semantic structure information and inconsistent attenuation are not fully considered. To tackle this problem, this study proposes a hierarchical semantic-guided contextual structure-aware network (SCSNet) for spectral satellite image dehazing. Specifically, a hybrid CNN–Transformer architecture integrated with a hierarchical semantic guidance (HSG) module is presented to learn semantic structure information by synergetically complementing local representation from non-local features. Furthermore, a cross-layer fusion (CLF) module is specially designed to replace the traditional skip connection during the feature decoding stage so as to reinforce the attention to the spatial regions and feature channels with more serious attenuation. The results on the SateHaze1k, RS-Haze, and RSID datasets demonstrated that the proposed SCSNet can achieve effective dehazing and outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods. • The influence of rotation on shear horizontal waves in a multiferroic composite semiconductor is studied. • As with semiconductor properties, the rotation will also cause dispersion and attenuation of shear horizontal waves. • Regardless of rotation or non-rotation, waves gain can be achieved by applying a biasing electric field. • Our work identifies several critical inflection points such as wave amplitude from attenuation to gain. • The results can be extended to design the surface acoustic wave gyroscopes and smart devices with composite semiconductor. In this work, the propagation characteristics of shear horizontal waves in a piezomagnetic and piezoelectric semiconductor layered structure with rotation are studied. The dispersion equation of shear horizontal waves in the rotating multiferroic composite semiconductor is obtained in the framework of coupled field theory including Coriolis and centrifugal forces. By solving the dispersion equation in complex domain, the influence of rotation on the shear horizontal waves is deeply analyzed, and the effects of steady-state carrier concentration and biasing electric field in the presence and absence of rotation are obtained, respectively. Similar to the semiconductor properties, the results show that the rotation will also cause dispersion and attenuation of shear horizontal waves. Besides, the wave speed decreases with the increase of the angular rate and the frequency shift occurs. The rotation sensitivity at long wavelengths near the surface is greater than those at short wavelengths deep into the half-space. Importantly, the increase in wave speed and amplitude gain can be achieved by applying an appropriate biasing electric field regardless of rotation or non-rotation. Specially, several critical points such as attenuation from large to small with rotation, wave speed from decrease to increase and wave amplitude from attenuation to gain in the biasing electric field are obtained. Background: WOX genes are a class of plant-specific transcription factors. The WUSCHEL-related homeobox (WOX) family is a member of the homeobox transcription factor superfamily. Previous studies have shown that WOX members play important roles in plant growth and development. However, studies of the WOX gene family in blueberry plants have not been reported. Results: In order to understand the biological function of the WOX gene family in blueberries, bioinformatics were used methods to identify WOX gene family members in the blueberry genome, and analyzed the basic physical and chemical properties, gene structure, gene motifs, promoter cis-acting elements, chromosome location, evolutionary relationships, expression pattern of these family members and predicted their functions. Finally, 12 genes containing the WOX domain were identified and found to be distributed on eight chromosomes. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the blueberry WOX gene family had three major branches: ancient branch, middle branch, and WUS branch. Blueberry WOX gene family protein sequences differ in amino acid number, molecular weight, isoelectric point and hydrophobicity. Predictive analysis of promoter cis-acting elements showed that the promoters of the VdWOX genes contained abundant light response, hormone, and stress response elements. The VdWOX genes were induced to express in both stems and leaves in response to salt and drought stress. Conclusions: Our results provided comprehensive characteristics of the WOX gene family and important clues for further exploration of its role in the growth, development and resistance to various stress in blueberry plants. Silicon‐based packaging is highly suitable for miniaturised and cost‐effective integrated systems. However, traditional silicon‐based antenna‐in‐package (AiP) has disadvantages, such as high loss, low efficiency and narrow bandwidth. A glass‐silicon active package system architecture is proposed. Its active part is integrated on a silicon substrate, while the antenna array in the package system is made of glass, which has high radiation efficiency. The proposed antenna structure is an H‐type aperture‐coupled microstrip patch antenna. The authors use a ball grid array to form cavity and two shielding structures to improve the scanning performance of the array. Furthermore, by adding grounding points, the resonance singularity within the shielding structure is eliminated. A test array, composed of 8 × 8 elements was fabricated for the purpose of validating the design. It can achieve wide‐angle scanning greater than ±60° and bandwidth of 29%. Reservoirs characterized by shale–sandstone interbedded structures are extensively dispersed throughout China, and understanding the propagation mode of hydraulic fractures is a prerequisite for shale gas exploitation engineering. In this study, hydraulic fracturing tests were conducted using horizontal wells subjected to true triaxial compression conditions to elucidate the mechanism by which the initiated layer lithology and stress state influence the fracture morphology. Furthermore, the propagation mode of the fractures and the consequential effects on fracture network formation were investigated. The findings demonstrate four distinct interaction modes between the shale–sandstone interfaces and hydraulic fractures. The lithology of the initiated layer influences the fracture propagation trajectory, thereby affecting the propagation modes at the shale–sandstone interface and resulting in varying effects on layer penetration. The stress difference exerts a significant controlling influence on the fracturing behavior, enhancing the possibility of interconnecting multiple rock layers characterized by substantial stress differences. Given the impressive achievement of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in grasping image priors from extensive datasets, they have been widely utilized for tasks related to image restoration. Recently, there is been significant progress in another category of neural architectures—Transformers. These models have demonstrated remarkable performance in natural language tasks and higher‐level vision applications. Despite their ability to address some of CNNs limitations, such as restricted receptive fields and adaptability issues, Transformer models often face difficulties when processing images with a high level of detail. This is because the complexity of the computations required increases significantly with the image's spatial resolution. As a result, their application to most high‐resolution image restoration tasks becomes impractical. In our research, we introduce a novel Transformer model, named DehFormer, by implementing specific design modifications in its fundamental components, for example, the multi‐head attention and feed‐forward network. Specifically, the proposed architecture consists of the three modules, that is, (a) multi‐scale feature aggregation network (MSFAN), (b) the gated‐Dconv feed‐forward network (GFFN), (c) and the multi‐Dconv head transposed attention (MDHTA). For the MDHTA module, our objective is to scrutinize the mechanics of scaled dot‐product attention through the utilization of per‐element product operations, thereby bypassing the need for matrix multiplications and operating directly in the frequency domain for enhanced efficiency. For the GFFN module, which enables only the relevant and valuable information to advance through the network hierarchy, thereby enhancing the efficiency of information flow within the model. This paper presents a composite control algorithm for the radio telescope servo control system to address the target tracking and matched/mismatched disturbance suppression problems. The algorithm consists of the equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) approach and the optimal control method. An EID estimator is developed using the difference between the estimated output of the state observer and the measurement output and then the estimate of the EID is fed forward into the control input to reject the disturbance. A cost function with clear physical meaning is selected and the weighting parameters are adjusted for the optimal controller to improve tracking performance. Considering the nonminimum phase characteristics of the radio telescope system, the state observer gain is computed using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) method. The system stability is analyzed using the small gain theorem, and the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control method is utilized to determine the state feedback gain. Finally, the composite controller is designed for an identified telescope model. Simulation results show that for the tracking performance, the settling time of proposed method is 1.13 s and reduces by about 0.32 s and 0.87 s than that of the ADRC controller and PI controller, respectively. For the antidisturbance performance, the RMS value and the maximum error of the proposed method are 0.0039 and 0.0128, which are 42.86% and 40.38% of the ADRC controller and 30.71% and 27.77% of the PI controller, respectively, which indicates that the proposed method has better control performance. To investigate the endothelialization of covered and bare stents deployed in the canine carotid arteries and subclavian arteries for treating experimental aneurysms and arteriovenous fistulas, twenty aneurysms were created in 10 dogs, and 20 fistulas in another 10 dogs. The Willis balloon-expandable covered stent and a self-expandable covered stent were used to treat these lesions, and a self-expandable bare stent was deployed in the subclavian artery for comparison. Followed up for up to 12 months, the gross observation, pathological staining, and scanning electronic microscopic data were analyzed. Two weeks after creation of animal model, thirty self-expandable covered stents and ten balloon-expandable covered stents were deployed. Fifteen bare stents were deployed within the left subclavian arteries. Twenty days after stenting, the aneurysm significantly shrank. At 6 months, the thrombi within the aneurysm cavity were organized. Three to 12 months later, most covered and bare stents were covered by a thin transparent or white layer of endothelial intima. Layers of intima or pseudomembrane were formed on the stent 20–40 days after stent deployment. Over three months, the pseudomembrane became organized, thinner, and merged into the vascular wall. Under scanning electronic microscopy, the surface of covered and bare stents had only deposition of collagen fibers and rare endothelial cells 20–40 days after stenting. From three to ten months, the endothelial cells on the internal surface of stent became mature, with spindle, stripe-like or quasi round morphology along the blood flow direction. Over time, the endothelial cells became mature. In conclusion, three months after deployment in canines' arteries, the self-expandable bare and covered stents have mostly been covered by endothelial cells which become maturer over time, whereas the balloon-expandable covered stents do not have complete coverage of endothelial cells at three months, especially for protruding stent struts and areas. Electrospun scaffolds play important roles in the fields of regenerative medicine and vascular tissue engineering. The aim of the research described here was to develop a vascular scaffold that mimics the structural and functional properties of natural vascular scaffolding. The mechanical properties of artificial vascular tissue represent a key issue for successful transplantation in small diameter engineering blood vessels. We blended silk fibroin (SF) and fibrin to fabricate a composite scaffold using electrospinning to overcome the shortcomings of fibrin with respect to its mechanical properties. Subsequently, we then carefully investigated the morphological, mechanical properties, hydrophilicity, hemocompatibility, degradation, cytocompatibility and biocompatibility of the SF/fibrin (0:100), SF/fibrin (15:85), SF/fibrin (25:75), and SF/fibrin (35:65) scaffolds. Based on these in vitro results, we implanted SF/fibrin (25:75) vascular scaffold subcutaneously and analyzed its in vivo degradation and histocompatibility. The fiber structure of the SF/fibrin hybrid scaffold was smooth and uniform, and its fiber diameters were relatively small. Compared with the fibrin scaffold, the SF/fibrin scaffold clearly displayed increased mechanical strength, but the hydrophilicity weakened correspondingly. All of the SF/fibrin scaffolds showed excellent blood compatibility and appropriate biodegradation rates. The SF/fibrin (25:75) scaffold increased the proliferation and adhesion of MSCs. The results of animal experiments confirmed that the degradation of the SF/fibrin (25:75) scaffold was faster than that of the SF scaffold and effectively promoted tissue regeneration and cell infiltration. All in all, the SF/fibrin (25:75) electrospun scaffold displayed balanced and controllable biomechanical properties, degradability, and good cell compatibility. The insulated core transformer (ICT) power supply is widely employed in electron beam accelerators (EBAs) due to its high power, heightened efficiency, and stable operation. However, the segmented-core structure of the ICT power supply increases magnetic leakage, which leads to it adversely affecting the consistency of the output voltages in the rectifier stages. Currently, numerous studies focus on stage voltage compensation, including turns compensation, capacitor compensation, dummy primary winding compensation, and full-parameter compensation. This paper presents a unified simulation model and an improved gradient-based genetic algorithm, which can also optimize the parameters of the four compensation methods. Based on this, the performance of the power supply using the four compensation methods under different ICT energy levels and power supply requirements is studied, and the selection suggestions are given. Touch cultures have both differences and commonalities in different regions. The Touch Experiences and Attitudes Questionnaire (TEAQ) is a widely applicable self-report tool. The purpose of our research was to examine the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of TEAQ for Chinese college students. We translated the 57 items of the original TEAQ into Chinese and assessed its cultural and linguistic adaptation in Chinese context. Two samples were recruited for the assessment of validity and reliability. The Social Support Rating Scale, Index of Well-being Scale and Security Questionnaire were chosen as criterion-related validity indicators. Item analysis, principal component analysis and confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the simplified Chinese version of TEAQ contained 18 items in three factors: Attitude to Intimate Touch, Childhood Touch and Current Positive Touch, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 57.12%. The 3-factor model had good validity and reliability. The TEAQ was positively correlated with social support, sense of security and well-being. There were demographic differences in sex and left-behind experience. We anticipate the simplified TEAQ will be a valuable tool for the research of touch among Chinese college students. Background: To develop a clinical model for predicting high axillary nodal burden in patients with early breast cancer by integrating ultrasound (US) and clinicopathological features. Methods and materials: Patients with breast cancer who underwent preoperative US examination and breast surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University (centre 1, n = 250) and at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University (centre 2, n = 97) between January 2012 and December 2016 and between January 2020 and March 2022, respectively, were deemed eligible for this study (n = 347). According to the number of lymph node (LN) metastasis based on pathology, patients were divided into two groups: limited nodal burden (0–2 metastatic LNs) and heavy nodal burden (≥ 3 metastatic LNs). In addition, US features combined with clinicopathological variables were compared between these two groups. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were conducted to identify the most valuable variables for predicting ≥ 3 LNs in breast cancer. A nomogram was then developed based on these independent factors. Results: Univariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the cortical thickness (p < 0.001), longitudinal to transverse ratio (p = 0.001), absence of hilum (p < 0.001), T stage (p = 0.002) and Ki-67 (p = 0.039) were significantly associated with heavy nodal burden. In the multivariate logistic regression analysis, cortical thickness (p = 0.001), absence of hilum (p = 0.042) and T stage (p = 0.012) were considered independent predictors of high-burden node. The area under curve (AUC) of the nomogram was 0.749. Conclusion: Our model based on US variables and clinicopathological characteristics demonstrates that can help select patients with ≥ 3 LNs, which can in turn be helpful to predict high axillary nodal burden in early breast cancer patients and prevent unnecessary axillary lymph node dissection. Explosive shock wave protection is an important issue that urgently needs to be solved in the current military and public security safety fields. Non-metallic protective structures have the characteristics of being lightweight and having low secondary damage, making them an important research object in the field of equivalent protection. In this paper, the numerical simulation was performed to investigate the dynamic mechanical response of non-metallic annular protective structures under the internal blast, which were made by the continuous winding of PE fibers. The impact of various charges, the number of fiber layers, and polyurethane foam on the damage to protective structures was analyzed. The numerical results showed that 120 PE fiber layers could protect 50 g TNT equivalent explosives. However, solely increasing the thickness of fiber layers cannot effectively enhance the protection efficiency. By adding polyurethane foam in the inner layer, the stress acting on the fiber could be effectively reduced. A 30 mm thick polyurethane layer can reduce the equivalent stress of the fiber layer by 41.6%. The development of bioactive scaffolds by mimicking bone tissue extracellular matrix is promising for bone regeneration. Herein, inspired by the bone tissue composition, a novel pearl powder (PP) hybrid fish gelatin methacrylate (GelMa) hydrogel scaffold loaded with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) for bone regeneration is presented. With the help of microfluidic‐assisted 3D printing technology, the composition and structure of the hybrid scaffold can be accurately controlled to meet clinical requirements. The combination of fish skin GelMa and PP also endowed the hybrid scaffold with good biocompatibility, cell adhesion, and osteogenic differentiation ability. Moreover, the controlled release of VEGF enables the scaffold to promote angiogenesis. Thus, the bone regeneration in the proposed scaffolds could be accelerated under the synergic effect of osteogenesis and angiogenesis, which has been proved in the rat skull defect model. [Display omitted] Cobalt-based catalysts are one of the preferred materials for effective activation of hydrogen peroxide, and metal element doping and active site dispersion are effective methods to enhance their catalytic activity. In this work, manganese-doped cobalt silicate@diatomite composites with enhanced photo-Fenton-like oxidation performance were prepared and used for degradation of methyl orange (MO) dyes. Experiments showed that manganese doping increased the specific surface area of the samples and decreased the band gap energy of the materials. Moreover, the samples doped with manganese elements had better photo-Fenton-like properties. The degradation of methyl orange by Co0.25MnSi@DE/H 2 O 2 -UV reached more than 95%. In addition, density-functional theory (DFT) calculations showed that the Mn-doped samples were more prone to activate H 2 O 2 than non-manganese-doped samples, and the synergistic effect from using a bimetallic catalyst increased the photo-Fenton oxidation activity in the system. [Display omitted] Two-dimensional (2D) beta indium sulfide (β -In 2 S 3) shows great potential in photocatalytic hydrogen production due to its broad-spectrum response, relatively negative conduction band edge, high carrier mobility and low toxicity. However, the high charge recombination rate limits the application of In 2 S 3. Here, we in-situ grew 2D cadmium sulfide (CdS) on the surface of In 2 S 3 doped with copper ions (Cu2+) to construct a heterojunction photocatalyst that suppresses charge recombination. The in-situ grown method and shared sulfur composition were conducive to forming the efficient interface contact between In 2 S 3 and CdS, promoting charge transfer and showing the high spatial charge separation rate, resulting in a hydrogen production rate of 868 µmol g-1h−1. The induced Cu2+ extended the light absorption range and stabilized the photocatalyst. By creating stable 2D/2D heterojunction photocatalysts with high charge separation efficiency, this work opens new possibilities for applying In 2 S 3 materials in photocatalytic hydrogen production. Both parasitoids and entomopathogenic fungi are becoming increasingly crucial for managing pest populations. Therefore, it is essential to carefully consider the potential impact of entomopathogenic fungi on parasitoids due to their widespread pathogenicity and the possible overlap between these biological control tools during field applications. However, despite their importance, little research has been conducted on the pathogenicity of entomopathogenic fungi on parasitoids. In our study, we aimed to address this knowledge gap by investigating the interaction between the well-known entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana, and the pupal endoparasitoid Pteromalus puparum. Our results demonstrated that the presence of B. bassiana significantly affected the survival rates of P. puparum under laboratory conditions. The pathogenicity of B. bassiana on P. puparum was dose- and time-dependent, as determined via through surface spraying or oral ingestion. RNA-Seq analysis revealed that the immune system plays a primary and crucial role in defending against B. bassiana. Notably, several upregulated differentially expressed genes (DEGs) involved in the Toll and IMD pathways, which are key components of the insect immune system, and antimicrobial peptides were rapidly induced during both the early and late stages of infection. In contrast, a majority of genes involved in the activation of prophenoloxidase and antioxidant mechanisms were downregulated. Additionally, we identified downregulated DEGs related to cuticle formation, olfactory mechanisms, and detoxification processes. In summary, our study provides valuable insights into the interactions between P. puparum and B. bassiana, shedding light on the changes in gene expression during fungal infection. SiC ceramic lattice structures (CLSs) via additive manufacturing (AM) have been recognized as potential candidates in engineering fields owing to their various merits. Compared with traditional SiC CLSs, SiC triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) CLSs could possess more outstanding properties, making them more promising for wider applications. Since SiC CLSs are hard to be fabricated through stereolithography techniques because of inferior light performance, the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process via selective sintering is an effective method to prepare near‐net‐shaped SiC TPMS lattices. As the mechanical performances of lattice structures are the foundation for future practical applications, it is of great significance to optimize the preparation process, thus improving the mechanical properties of SiC TPMS structures. In this work, the optimal printing parameters of the LPBF and liquid silicon infiltration process for SiC ceramic TPMS CLSs with three different volume fractions were systematically illustrated and analyzed. The effects of the printing parameters and carbon densities on the fabrication accuracy, microstructure, and mechanical performance of SiC TPMS CLSs were defined. The mechanism of the reactive sintering process for the SiC TPMS lattice structure was revealed. The results reveal that Si/SiC TPMS CLSs with optimum preparation have superior manufacturing accuracy (most less than 6%), relatively high bulk densities (about 2.75 g/cm3), low residual Si content (6.01%), and excellent mechanical properties (5.67, 15.4, and 44.0 MPa for Si/SiC TPMS CLSs with 25%, 40%, and 55% volume fractions, respectively). Key Clinical Message: Patients with septic shock complicated by septic cardiomyopathy (SCM) can be extremely ill and at high risk for mortality. If early assessment of cardiac function is neglected during treatment, sepsis may be further exacerbated. We report a 77‐year‐old male patient with severe septic shock who underwent intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) because of progressive circulatory instability, SCM was diagnosed. Further perioperative treatment to support the circulation was successfully adjusted based on TEE and pulse index continuous cardiac output (CO) by ProAQT/PulsioFlex hemodynamic monitoring. We should consider a diagnosis of SCM in the perioperative period and perform ultrasonography routinely. The use of TEE with ProAQT/PulsioFlex offers a new option for anesthetic management. Context: This work theoretically demonstrates a catalyst of copper monatomic wire supported on graphene nanoribbons (Cu-GNR) with a high efficiency for nitric oxide electroreduction reaction (NORR). This not only decreases the usage rate of noble metals but also possesses superior limiting potential comparable to pure Cu (− 0.69 and − 0.61 V, vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE)). The key is that Cu-GNR will have more efficient catalytic activity for NORR when fully covered by NO, since these weaken the adsorption ability of the reduction steps at the beginning. In sum, our findings may offer a platform for clarifying the effects of the concentration of reactants on catalytic process. The regulation of inflammatory response at the site of injury and macrophage immunotherapy is critical for tissue repair. Chiral self‐assemblies are one of the most ubiquitous life cues, which is closely related to biological functions, life processes, and even the pathogenesis of diseases. However, the role of supramolecular chiral self‐assemblies in the regulation of immune functions in the internal environment of tissues has not been fully explored yet. Herein, 3D supramolecular chiral self‐assembling matrixes are prepared to regulate the polarization of macrophages and further enhance the repair of myocardial infarction (MI). Experiments studies show that M‐type (left‐handed) self‐assembling matrixes significantly inhibit inflammation and promote damaged myocardium repair by upregulating M2 macrophage polarization and downstream immune signaling compared with P‐type (right‐handed), and R‐type (non‐chirality) self‐assembling matrixes. Classical molecular dynamics (MD) simulation demonstrates that M‐type self‐assembling matrixes display higher stereo‐affinity to cellular binding, which enhances the clustering of mechanosensitive integrin β1 (Itgβ1) and activates focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and Rho‐associated protein kinase (ROCK), as well as downstream PI3K/Akt1/mTOR signaling axes to promote M2 polarization. [Display omitted] Pathogenic biofilm induced oral diseases have posed a significant treat to human health, such as periodontitis resulting from the formation of bacterial biofilm on teeth and gums. The traditional treatment methods such as mechanical debridement and antibiotic therapy encounter the poor therapeutic effect. Recently, numerous nanozymes with excellent antibacterial effect have been widely used in the treatment of oral diseases. In this study, a novel iron-based nanozyme (FeSN) generated by histidine-doped FeS 2 with high peroxidase-like (POD-like) activity was designed for the oral biofilm removal and treatment of periodontitis. FeSN exhibited an extremely high POD-like activity, and enzymatic reaction kinetics and theoretical calculations had demonstrated its catalytic efficiency to be approximately 30 times than that of FeS 2. The antibacterial experiments showed that FeSN had robust antibacterial activity against Fusobacterium nucleatum in the presence of H 2 O 2 , causing a reduction in the levels of glutathione reductase and ATP in bacterial cells, while increasing the level of oxidase coenzyme. The ultrahigh POD-like activity of FeSN allowed for easy detection of pathogenic biofilms and promoted the breakdown of biofilm structure. Furthermore, FeSN demonstrated excellent biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity to human fibroblast cells. In a rat model of periodontitis, FeSN exhibited significant therapeutic effects by reducing the extent of biofilm formation, inflammation, and alveolar bone loss. Taken together, our results suggested that FeSN, generated by self-assembly of two amino acids, represented a promising approach for biofilm removal and periodontitis treatment. Objective: To explore the mechanism of psoralen synergized with exosomes (exos)-loaded SPC25 on nucleus pulposus (NP) cell senescence in intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD). Methods: IVDD cellular models were established on NP cells by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) induction, followed by the treatment of psoralen or/and exos from adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) transfected with SPC25 overexpression vector (ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos). The viability, cell cycle, apoptosis, and senescence of NP cells were examined, accompanied by the expression measurement of aggrecan, COL2A1, Bcl-2, Bax, CDK2, p16, and p21. Results: After TBHP-induced NP cells were treated with psoralen or ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos, cell proliferation and the expression of aggrecan, COL2A1, Bcl-2, and CDK2 were promoted; however, the expression of Bax, p16, p21, and inflammatory factors was decreased, and cell senescence, cycle arrest, and apoptosis were inhibited. Of note, psoralen combined with ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos further decelerated NP cell senescence and cycle arrest compared to psoralen or ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos alone. Conclusion: Combined treatment of psoralen and ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos exerted an alleviating effect on NP cell senescence, which may provide an insightful idea for IVDD treatment. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between the MRI high-intensity zone (HIZ) and the pathogenesis of discogenic low back pain. Methods: Literature from PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Science Direct, China Knowledge Network, Wanfang Database, and China Biomedical Literature Database was searched until August 2023. Cohort studies including patients with low back pain who underwent lumbar spine MRI and discography, as well as the results evaluating the correlation between HIZ and discography for morphological changes in the disc and pain replication phenomena, were included in the analysis. The literature that met the inclusion criteria was screened, and the methodological quality of the included studies was evaluated. Meta-analysis of the extracted data was performed by using RevMan 5.1.1. Results: In total, 28 reports were included in this meta-analysis. There was a statistically significant correlation between a positive HIZ and abnormal disc morphology in discography (OR 28.15, 95% CI [7.38, 107.46], p < 0.00001). Patients with HIZ-positive discs had a significantly higher incidence of consistent pain (71.0%, 969/1365) than those with HIZ-negative imaging (29.0%, 1314/4524) (OR 7.71, 95% CI [5.29, 11.23], p < 0.00001).Segments that were HIZ-positive and had abnormal disc morphology had a higher incidence of consistent pain (86.1%, 230/267) than HIZ-negative subjects (32.2%, 75/233) (OR 14.09, 95% CI [2.12, 93.48], p = 0.006). Conclusion: A positive MRI T2-weighted image of the lumbar disc with HIZ indicates disc degeneration. In addition, HIZ may be a specific indicator for the physical diagnosis of discogenic low back pain. A more advanced degree of disc degeneration on the basis of HIZ positivity corresponded to a greater probability of discography-induced consistent pain, whereas the degree of disc degeneration on the basis of HIZ negativity was less correlated with contrast-induced consistent pain. Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women. A noninvasive ultrasound examination can identify mammary-gland-related diseases and is well tolerated by dense breast, making it a preferred method for breast cancer screening and of significant clinical value. However, the diagnosis of breast nodules or masses via ultrasound is performed by a doctor in real time, which is time-consuming and subjective. Junior doctors are prone to missed diagnoses, especially in remote areas or grass-roots hospitals, due to limited medical resources and other factors, which bring great risks to a patient's health. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop fast and accurate ultrasound image analysis algorithms to assist diagnoses. Methods: We propose a breast ultrasound image-based assisted-diagnosis method based on convolutional neural networks, which can effectively improve the diagnostic speed and the early screening rate of breast cancer. Our method consists of two stages: tumor recognition and tumor classification. (1) Attention-based semantic segmentation is used to identify the location and size of the tumor; (2) the identified nodules are cropped to construct a training dataset. Then, a convolutional neural network for the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules is trained on this dataset. We collected 2057 images from 1131 patients as the training and validation dataset, and 100 images of the patients with accurate pathological criteria were used as the test dataset. Results: The experimental results based on this dataset show that the MIoU of tumor location recognition is 0.89 and the average accuracy of benign and malignant diagnoses is 97%. The diagnosis performance of the developed diagnostic system is basically consistent with that of senior doctors and is superior to that of junior doctors. In addition, we can provide the doctor with a preliminary diagnosis so that it can be diagnosed quickly. Conclusion: Our proposed method can effectively improve diagnostic speed and the early screening rate of breast cancer. Insects employ multifaceted strategies to combat invading fungi, with immunity being a promising mechanism. Immune pathways function in signal transduction and amplification, ultimately leading to the activation of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). Although several studies have shown that immune pathways are responsible for defending against fungi, the roles of parasitoid immune pathways involved in antifungal responses remain unknown. In this study, we evaluated the roles of the Toll and IMD pathways of a pupal parasitoid, Pteromalus puparum (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae), in fighting against Beauveria bassiana (Hypocreales: Cordycipitaceae). Successful colonization of B. bassiana on P. puparum adults was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). AMPs were induced upon B. bassiana infection. The knockdown of key genes, PpTollA and PpIMD, in Toll and IMD signaling pathways, respectively, significantly compromised insect defense against fungal infection. The knockdown of either PpTollA or PpIMD in P. puparum dramatically promoted the proliferation of B. bassiana, resulting in a decreased survival rate and downregulated expression levels of AMPs against B. bassiana compared to controls. These data indicated that PpTollA and PpIMD participate in Toll and IMD-mediated activation of antifungal responses, respectively. Remote sensing (RS) cross-modal text–image retrieval has great application value in many fields such as military and civilian. Existing methods utilize the deep network to project the images and texts into a common space and measure the similarity. However, the majority of those methods only utilize the inter-modality information between different modalities, which ignores the rich semantic information within the specific modality. In addition, due to the complexity of the RS images, there exists a lot of interference relation information within the extracted representation from the original features. In this paper, we propose a jointly guided deep network for fine-grained cross-modal RS text–image retrieval. First, we capture the fine-grained semantic information within the specific modality and then guide the learning of another modality of representation, which can make full use of the intra- and inter-modality information. Second, to filter out the interference information within the representation extracted from the two modalities of data, we propose an interference filtration module based on the gated mechanism. According to our experimental results, significant improvements in terms of retrieval tasks can be achieved compared with state-of-the-art algorithms. Context: Dihydroxylammonium 5,5'-biotetrazolium-1,1'-diolate (TKX-50) has two important properties of typical azole energy-containing ionic salts, including high energy and safety. Therefore, in today's era where more emphasis is placed on explosive performance and explosive detonation control conditions, TKX-50 is a very important object of research, and its reaction process in the initial stage of detonation is gradually receiving more and more attention from researchers in the field of energy-containing materials research. Methods: In this paper, based on first-principles density-functional theory (DFT), the mechanism of chemical bond breakage of TKX-50 under pressure was determined based on the analysis of the strength and stability of chemical bonds inside the TKX-50 molecules using Raman spectroscopy relative intensity analysis. The results show that TKX-50 is dominated by N–H bond breaking and followed by H–O bond breaking in the initial reaction stage. Background: We aimed to assess the performance of the risk assessment questionnaire and fecal immunochemical test (FIT) in a population-based colorectal cancer (CRC) screening program to provide timely evidence for tailored screening strategies in China. Methods: This analysis was conducted using data from Beijing Cancer Screening Prospective Cohort Study (BCSPCS). A risk assessment questionnaire and FIT were selected as the primary screening methods, and participants with any positive results were referred to undergo a diagnostic colonoscopy. Results: From 2015 to 2020, 148,636 Beijing residents aged 40–69 years were invited from designated communities, with 147,807 finishing the risk assessment questionnaire and 115,606 (78.2%) completing the FIT. Among the 42,969 (29.1%) high-risk CRC participants, 23,824 (55.4%) underwent colonoscopy. One year after enrollment, all subjects were linked to the Beijing Cancer Registry (BCR) database and 241 cases of CRC were confirmed. The CRC incidence rate was 58.2/100,000 for the low-risk arm and 418.9/100,000 for the high-risk arm. For participants who underwent colonoscopy, 91 CRC cases were detected, with a detection rate of 91.9% and 63.7% of them were early-stage cases. Furthermore, the sensitivities of utilizing the risk assessment questionnaire alone, FIT alone, combined risk assessment questionnaire and FIT were 75.7%, 50.1%, and 95.1%, and the specificities were 75.3%, 87.3%, and 70.7%, respectively. Conclusion: The Beijing CRC screening program can effectively detect early-onset CRC; however, the compliance with colonoscopy still needs to be improved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although highly desired, it is difficult to develop mechanically robust and room temperature self‐healing ionic liquid‐based gels (ionogels), which are very promising for next‐generation stretchable electronic devices. Herein, it is discovered that the ionic liquid significantly reduces the reversible reaction rate of disulfide bonds without altering its thermodynamic equilibrium constant via small molecule model reaction and activation energy evolution of the dissociation of the dynamic network. This inhibitory effect would reduce the dissociated units in the dynamic polymeric network, beneficial for the strength of the ionogel. Furthermore, aromatic disulfide bonds with high reversibility are embedded in the polyurethane to endow the ionogel with superior room temperature self‐healing performance. Isocyanates with an asymmetric alicyclic structure are chosen to provide optimal exchange efficiencies for the embedded disulfide bonds relative to aromatic and linear aliphatic. Carbonyl‐rich poly(ethylene‐glycol‐adipate) diols are selected as soft segments to provide sufficient interaction sites for ionic liquids to endow the ionogel with high transparency, stretchability, and elasticity. Finally, a self‐healing ionogel with a tensile strength of 1.65 ± 0.08 MPa is successfully developed, which is significantly higher than all the reported transparent room temperature self‐healing ionogel and its application in a 3D printed stretchable numeric keyboard is exemplified. The development and utilization of urban underground space is an important way to solve the "great urban disease". As one of the most important types of urban underground foundations, utility tunnels have become increasingly popular in municipal construction. The investigation of utility tunnels is a general task and three-dimensional laser scanning technology has played a significant role in surveying and data acquisition. However, three-dimensional laser scanning technology suffers from noise and occlusion in narrow congested utility tunnel spaces, and the acquired point clouds are imperfect; hence, errors and redundancies are introduced in the extracted geometric elements. The topology of reconstructed BIM objects cannot be ensured. Therefore, in this study, a hierarchical segmentation method for point clouds and a topology reconstruction method for building information model (BIM) objects in utility tunnels are proposed. The point cloud is segmented into facades, planes, and pipelines hierarchically. An improved mean-shift algorithm is proposed to extract wall line features and a local symmetry-based medial axis extraction algorithm is proposed to extract pipelines from point clouds. A topology reconstruction method that searches for the neighbor information of wall and pipeline centerlines and establishes collinear, perpendicular, and intersecting situations is used to reconstruct a topologically consistent 3D model of a utility tunnel. An experiment on the Guangzhou's Nansha District dataset successfully reconstructed 24 BIM wall objects and 12 pipelines within the utility tunnel, verifying the efficiency of the method. Thylakoid membrane protein quality control (PQC), which requires the coordination of membrane protein translocation and degradation of unassembled proteins, determines chloroplast development during de-etiolation. Despite numerous efforts, the regulation of this process in land plants is largely unknown. Here, we report the isolation and characterization of pale green Arabidopsis4 (pga4) mutants in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) with defects in chloroplast development during de-etiolation. Map-based cloning and complementation assays confirmed that PGA4 encodes the chloroplast Signal Recognition Particle 54 kDa (cpSRP54) protein. A heterogeneous Light-Harvesting Chlorophyll a/b Binding-Green Fluorescent Protein (LhcB2-GFP) fusion protein was generated as an indicative reporter for cpSRP54-mediated thylakoid translocation. LhcB2-GFP was dysfunctional and degraded to a short-form dLhcB2-GFP during de-etiolation through an N-terminal degradation initiated on thylakoid membranes. Further biochemical and genetic evidence demonstrated that the degradation of LhcB2-GFP to dLhcB2-GFP was disrupted in pga4 and yellow variegated2 (var2) mutants caused by mutations in the Filamentous Temperature-Sensitive H2 (VAR2/AtFtsH2) subunit of thylakoid FtsH. The yeast two-hybrid assay showed that the N-terminus of LhcB2-GFP interacts with the protease domain of VAR2/AtFtsH2. Moreover, the over-accumulated LhcB2-GFP in pga4 and var2 formed protein aggregates, which were insoluble in mild nonionic detergents. Genetically, cpSRP54 is a suppressor locus for the leaf variegation phenotype of var2. Together, these results demonstrate the coordination of cpSRP54 and thylakoid FtsH in maintaining thylakoid membrane PQC during the assembly of photosynthetic complexes and provide a trackable substrate and product for monitoring cpSRP54-dependent protein translocation and FtsH-dependent protein degradation. Generation of stable gene-edited plant lines using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)–CRISPR-associated protein 9 (Cas9) requires a lengthy process of outcrossing to eliminate CRISPR–Cas9-associated sequences and produce transgene-free lines. We have addressed this issue by designing fusions of Cas9 and guide RNA transcripts to tRNA-like sequence motifs that move RNAs from transgenic rootstocks to grafted wild-type shoots (scions) and achieve heritable gene editing, as demonstrated in wild-type Arabidopsis thaliana and Brassica rapa. The graft-mobile gene editing system enables the production of transgene-free offspring in one generation without the need for transgene elimination, culture recovery and selection, or use of viral editing vectors. We anticipate that using graft-mobile editing systems for transgene-free plant production may be applied to a wide range of breeding programs and crop plants. The management and disposal of waste is a severe social issue and an essential part of ecological sustainability. As an important component of the green, low-carbon, and recycling economic system, the identification and classification of recyclable waste is the premise of its reuse and energy conservation. The main issues at hand are to improve the classification accuracy and reliability of recyclable waste and to achieve automatic classification. The methods based on physical characteristics and image-based methods are inaccurate and unreliable. The current spectroscopy methods need to process the detected samples in advance, unsuitable for automatic detection. Based on material composition properties, the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) technology is here proposed to accurately and reliably identify and classify recyclable waste into six categories at the level of consumer, such as paper, plastic, glass, metal, textile, and wood. The method is also used to subclassify the same category of waste for reuse at the level of a recycling factory. We subclassified metals into iron, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum and plastics into polyvinylchloride, polyoxymethylene, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polyamide, polyethylene, and polytetrafluoroethylene. The drop-dimension methods of LIBS spectra of waste were researched to eliminate noise and redundant information by principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA), respectively. Their clustering effects were analyzed to choose a suitable dimension. Combining the random forest (RF), back propagation neural network (BPNN), and convolutional neural network (CNN), we established and compared five classification models, PCA + RF, PCA + BPNN, LDA + RF, LDA + BPNN, and 1D-CNN. For the classification of six categories, the accuracies of proposed classification models are all more than 96%, and LDA(5D) + RF has 100% accuracy and optimal classification performance indices. Double-sided lapping process with fixed abrasive shows a strong capability of achieving high efficiency and high surface quality due to its controllable movement of the abrasive and determined material removal modes, and it can be as an alternative technology for fabricating ultra-precision optical components. However, the formation and evolution of the surface topography and roughness (Ra) were rarely clarified in the previous research due to the complicity of the double-sided lapping process. This paper established a new mathematical analytical model to provide a better scientific understanding of the formation and evolution of the surface topography and roughness, in which the spatial location and protrusion height of abrasive particles, each abrasive-material interaction, kinematics trajectory of abrasive particles, and force balance on the workpiece were considered. A series of lapping experiments on the Y3Al5O12 (YAG) wafer were conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed model and analyze the influence of processing parameters on surface topography and roughness evolution. The results indicated that the proposed analytical model can be effectively used to predict surface topography and optimize the process parameters of double-sided planetary lapping for better surface roughness. The variation of processing time and rotational speed of the lapping plate (pad) possesses a significant influence on surface topography and Ra values. In the face of the current energy and environmental problems, the full use of biomass resources instead of fossil energy to produce a series of high-value chemicals has great application prospects. 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), which can be synthesized from lignocellulose as a raw material, is an important biological platform molecule. Its preparation and the catalytic oxidation of subsequent products have important research significance and practical value. In the actual production process, porous organic polymer (POP) catalysts are highly suitable for biomass catalytic conversion due to their high efficiency, low cost, good designability, and environmentally friendly features. Here, we briefly describe the application of various types of POPs (including COFs, PAFs, HCPs, and CMPs) in the preparation and catalytic conversion of HMF from lignocellulosic biomass and analyze the influence of the structural properties of catalysts on the catalytic performance. Finally, we summarize some challenges that POPs catalysts face in biomass catalytic conversion and prospect the important research directions in the future. As an important food crop, summer maize is widely planted all over the world. Monitoring its growth and output is of great significance for world food security. With the trend of global warming and deterioration, the frequency of high temperature and heat damage affecting summer corn has been increasing in the past ten years. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for monitoring the high temperature and heat damage of summer maize. At present, there are nearly a hundred indices or methods for research on high temperature and heat damage. However, research based on the vegetation index cannot fully describe the damage caused by high-temperature thermal damage, and there is an obvious asynchrony effect. Research based on hyperspectral remote sensing has many inconveniences in data acquisition and complex physical model construction. Therefore, this study uses remote sensing data, including MODIS surface reflection data, MODIS land surface temperature products, as well as ground observation data and statistical data, combined with multiple remote sensing indices and land surface temperature, to construct a remote sensing index, LSHDI (land surface heat damage index). The LSHDI first searches for a location with the worst vegetation growth conditions in the three-dimensional feature space based on the LST (land surface temperature), the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), and the land surface water index (LSWI). Then, it calculates the distance between each point and this location to measure the degree of vegetation affected by high temperature and heat damage. Finally, because there is no reliable disaster verification dataset that has been published at present, this study uses soil moisture as a reference to explain the performance and stability of the LSHDI. The results showed that their coefficient of determination was above 0.5 and reached a significance level of 0.01. The LSHDI can well-reflect the high temperature and heat damage of land surface vegetation and can provide important data support and references for agricultural management departments. Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is a widely used inorganic powder, but its industrial applications are limited by its hydrophilicity and oleophobicity. Surface modification of CaCO3 can improve its dispersion and stability in organic materials and further improve its potential value. In this study, CaCO3 particles were modified with silane coupling agent (KH550) and titanate coupling agent (HY311) combined with ultrasonication. The oil absorption value (OAV), activation degree (AG), and sedimentation volume (SV) were employed to evaluate the modification performance. The results showed that the modification effect of HY311 on CaCO3 was better than that of KH550, and ultrasonic treatment played an auxiliary role. Based on response surface analysis, the optimal modification conditions were determined as follows: the HY311 dosage was 0.7%, the KH550 dosage was 0.7%, and ultrasonic time was 10 min. The OAV, AG, and SV of modified CaCO3 under these conditions were 16.65 g DOP/100 g, 99.27%, and 0.65 mL/g, respectively. The SEM, FTIR, XRD and thermal gravimetric analyses indicated successful coating of HY311 and KH550 coupling agents on the surface of CaCO3. Global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) is a remote sensing technology of soil moisture measurement using signals of opportunity from GNSS, which has the advantages of low cost, all-weather detection, and multi-platform application. An in situ GNSS-R and radiometer fusion soil moisture retrieval model based on LSTM (long–short term memory) is proposed to improve accuracy and robustness as to the impacts of vegetation cover and soil surface roughness. The Oceanpal GNSS-R data obtained from the experimental campaign at the Valencia Anchor Station are used as the main input data, and the TB (brightness temperature) and TR (soil roughness and vegetation integrated attenuation coefficient) outputs of the ELBARA-II radiometer are used as auxiliary input data, while field measurements with a Delta-T ML2x ThetaProbe soil moisture sensor were used for reference and validation. The results show that the LSTM model can be used to retrieve soil moisture, and that it performs better in the data fusion scenario with GNSS-R and radiometer. The STD of the multi-satellite fusion model is 0.013. Among the single-satellite models, PRN13, 20, and 32 gave the best retrieval results with STD = 0.011, 0.012, and 0.007, respectively. An in-depth understanding of the anisotropic characteristics of shale is the basis for improving the production capability of shale gas. Therefore, the cracking behavior of shales under compression and tension was investigated experimentally from macroscopic and microscopic perspectives. Uniaxial compression tests were carried out, and the effects of bedding on the generation of microcracks were analyzed through nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Then, Brazilian splitting and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) tests were performed, and the corresponding relationship between the failure mode and the fracture surface morphology was discussed. The results reveal that the mechanical properties and failure modes of shales are affected significantly by the existence of bedding planes. The total volume and size of microflaws after failure increase, and the highest porosity of newly generated microcracks is that of the 0° specimen. The microflaws are classified into two categories, including capillary and seepage microflaws. The newly generated microflaws in the 0°, 30°, and 90° specimens are mainly due to seepage microflaws, while those in the 60° specimen are mainly due to capillary microflaws. In this paper, the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of a coating/steel substrate system were investigated under the coupling action of the corrosive environment and load. At first, the stress corrosion tests were carried out on the coating/steel substrate specimens. Then, nanoindentation tests were used to study the elastic modulus of the coating before and after stress corrosion tests. After that, tensile tests were performed on the specimens before and after stress corrosion tests. In the tensile testing process, the evolution law of surface strain was studied by a digital image correlation method. Further, the cracking characteristics and fracture toughness of the coating/steel substrate system in the corrosion process were generated. Test results indicate that the elastic modulus of the coating/steel substrate system continuously decreases with increasing stress level. In the meantime, the critical cracking strain and fracture toughness of the coating/steel substrate system also decrease with increasing stress level. The coupling effect of the external load and corrosive environment greatly accelerate the corrosion process of the coating/steel substrate system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

miR-144/451 and nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2) regulate two antioxidative systems that have been identified to maintain redox homeostasis in erythroid cells by removing excess reactive oxygen species (ROS). Whether these two genes coordinate to affect ROS scavenging and the anemic phenotype, or which gene is more important for recovery from acute anemia, has not been explored. To address these questions, we crossed miR-144/451 knockout (KO) and Nrf2 KO mice and examined the phenotype change in the animals as well as the ROS levels in erythroid cells either at baseline or under stress condition. Several discoveries were made in this study. First, Nrf2/miR-144/451 double-KO mice unexpectedly exhibit similar anemic phenotypes as miR-144/451 single-KO mice during stable erythropoiesis, although compound mutations of miR-144/451 and Nrf2 lead to higher ROS levels in erythrocytes than single gene mutations. Second, Nrf2/miR-144/451 double-mutant mice exhibit more dramatic reticulocytosis than miR-144/451 or Nrf2 single-KO mice during days 3 to 7 after inducing acute hemolytic anemia using phenylhydrazine (PHZ), indicating a synergistic effect of miR-144/451 and Nrf2 on PHZ-induced stress erythropoiesis. However, the coordination does not persist during the whole recovery stage of PHZ-induced anemia; instead, Nrf2/miR-144/451 double-KO mice follow a recovery pattern similar to miR-144/451 single-KO mice during the remaining period of erythropoiesis. Third, the complete recovery from PHZ-induced acute anemia in miR-144/451 KO mice takes longer than in Nrf2 KO mice. Our findings demonstrate that complicated crosstalk between miR-144/451 and Nrf2 does exist and the crosstalk of these two antioxidant systems is development-stage-dependent. Background: The TP53 tumor suppressor gene is one of the most mutated genes in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and plays a vital role in regulating the occurrence and progression of cancer. We aimed to elucidate the association between TP53 mutations, response to immunotherapies and the prognosis of LUAD. Methods: Genomic, transcriptomic, and clinical data of LUAD were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset. Gene ontology (GO) analysis, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis, gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). Gene set variation analysis (GSVA) were performed to determine the differences in biological pathways. A merged protein–protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed and analyzed. MSIpred was used to analyze the correlation between the expression of the TP53 gene, tumor mutation burden (TMB) and tumor microsatellite instability (MSI). CIBERSORT was used to calculate the abundance of immune cells. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to determine the prognostic value of TP53 mutations in LUAD. Results: TP53 was the most frequently mutated in LUAD, with a mutational frequency of 48%. GO and KEGG enrichment analysis, GSEA, and GSVA results showed a significant upregulation of several signaling pathways, including PI3K-AKT mTOR (P < 0.05), Notch (P < 0.05), E2F target (NES = 1.8, P < 0.05), and G2M checkpoint (NES = 1.7, P < 0.05). Moreover, we found a significant correlation between T cells, plasma cells, and TP53 mutations (R2 < 0.01, P = 0.040). Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses revealed that the survival prognosis of LUAD patients was related to TP53 mutations (Hazard Ratio (HR) = 0.72 [95% CI, 0.53 to 0.98], P < 0.05), cancer status (P < 0.05), and treatment outcomes (P < 0.05). Lastly, the Cox regression models showed that TP53 exhibited good power in predicting three- and five-year survival rates. Conclusions: TP53 may be an independent predictor of response to immunotherapy in LUAD, and patients with TP53 mutations have higher immunogenicity and immune cell infiltration. Although hyperpolarization‐activated cation (HCN) ion channels are well established to underlie cardiac pacemaker activity, their role in smooth muscle organs remains controversial. HCN‐expressing cells are localized to renal pelvic smooth muscle (RPSM) pacemaker tissues of the murine upper urinary tract and HCN channel conductance is required for peristalsis. To date, however, the Ih pacemaker current conducted by HCN channels has never been detected in these cells, raising questions on the identity of RPSM pacemakers. Indeed, the RPSM pacemaker mechanisms of the unique multicalyceal upper urinary tract exhibited by humans remains unknown. Here, we developed immunopanning purification protocols and demonstrate that 96% of isolated HCN+ cells exhibit Ih. Single‐molecule STORM to whole‐tissue imaging showed HCN+ cells express single HCN channels on their plasma membrane and integrate into the muscular syncytium. By contrast, PDGFR‐α+ cells exhibiting the morphology of ICC gut pacemakers were shown to be vascular mural cells. Translational studies in the homologous human and porcine multicalyceal upper urinary tracts showed that contractions and pacemaker depolarizations originate in proximal calyceal RPSM. Critically, HCN+ cells were shown to integrate into calyceal RPSM pacemaker tissues, and HCN channel block abolished electrical pacemaker activity and peristalsis of the multicalyceal upper urinary tract. Cumulatively, these studies demonstrate that HCN ion channels play a broad, evolutionarily conserved pacemaker role in both cardiac and smooth muscle organs and have implications for channelopathies as putative aetiologies of smooth muscle disorders. Serine proteases (SPs) and their homologs (SPHs) are among the best-characterized gene families. They are involved in several physiological processes, including digestion, embryonic development and immunity. In the current study, a total of 177 SPs-related genes were characterized in the genome of Ostrinia furnacalis. The activation site of SPs/SPHs and enzyme specificity of SPs were identified, and the findings showed that most of the SPs analyzed possessed trypsin substrate specificity. Several SPs/SPHs with similar simple gene structures had tandem repeat-like distributions on the scaffold, indicated that gene expansion has occurred in this large family. Furthermore, we constructed 30 RNA sequencing libraries including four with developmental stage and four middle larval stage tissues to study the transcript levels of these genes. Differentially upregulated and downregulated genes were obtained via data analysis. More than one-quarter of the genes were specifically identified as highly expressed in the midgut in compared to the other three tissues evaluated. In the current study, the domain structure, gene location and phylogenetic relationship of genes in O. furnacalis were explored. Orthologous comparisons of SPs/SPHs between model insects and O. furnacalis indicated their possible functions. M50 bearing steel has great potential for applications in the field of aerospace engineering, as it exhibits outstanding mechanical and physical properties. From a microscopic point of view, bearing wear originates from the microscopic region of the contact interface, which usually only contains hundreds or even several atomic layers. However, the existing researches seldom study the wear of M50 bearing steel on the microscopic scale. This study explored the atomic-scale modeling method of M50 bearing steel. Then molecular dynamics simulations of nanoindentation on the M50 bearing steel model were carried out to study the size effect of the mechanical behaviors. The simulation results show that with the change in the radius of the diamond indenter in the nanoindentation simulation, the calculated nanohardness decreases. According to the size effect, when the indentation radius is 200 nm, the hardness obtained by the simulation is about 9.26 GPa, and that of the M50 sample measured by the nanoindentation is 10.4 GPa. Then nanoindentation simulations were carried out at different temperatures. The main bearings of aero-engines generally work at 300–500 degrees Celsius. When the simulated temperature was increased from 300 K to 800 K, the hardness of the model decreased by 15%, and the model was more prone to plastic deformation. In this study, a new molecular dynamics modeling method for M50 bearing steel was proposed, and then nanoindentation simulation was carried out, and the nanoindentation experiment verified the correctness of the model.
