Differentiation/ranking of authors in the scientific sphere is carried out according to their influence on the particular field(s) of science. The impact of the contribution is measured by the impact a text has on the development of the field/issue. It can be measured by the usage of ideas from other researchers works given as citations. Nowadays, citations are tracked by specific algorithms and citation management systems that have access to various databases, catalogues and bibliography systems through metadata. In the presented article, I discuss problematic issues that authors are facing while writing texts in different languages (other than the English language) and publishing them in periodicals. The most popular (often indicative) texts/authors still fail to be captured/cached by the algorithms, therefore creating an imbalance between the actual number of citations performed by other scholars and cached h-index displayed by the algorithm. This paper considers the problem of target tracking in complex manoeuvering scenarios with a lack of relevant prior knowledge. This is a challenge for classical model‐based manoeuvering target tracking algorithms because they rely heavily on accurate domain and prior knowledge of target motion. To address this problem, we propose a hybrid‐driven continuous‐time filter algorithm in this paper, which combines the advantages of the model‐driven and data‐driven. We use the stochastic differential equation (SDE) with the acceleration model as the basic framework of the proposed algorithm. In order to deal with unpredictable manoeuvres and unknown perturbations, we adopt neural networks as data‐driven to estimate target accelerations and compensations of composite perturbations in real time using historical and current measurements. And the direction of gradient descent of the neural network is constrained by the motion model, thus the learning efficiency of the network and the interpretability of the proposed algorithm is improved. The proposed algorithm can simultaneously utilise historical trajectory information and domain knowledge as hybrid‐driven to achieve complex manoeuvering target tracking with little prior information. This paper aims to increase the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle's (UAV) capacity for target tracking. First, a control model based on fuzzy logic is created, which modifies the UAV's flight attitude in response to the target's motion status and changes in the surrounding environment. Then, an edge computing-based target tracking framework is created. By deploying edge devices around the UAV, the calculation of target recognition and position prediction is transferred from the central processing unit to the edge nodes. Finally, the latest Vision Transformer model is adopted for target recognition, the image is divided into uniform blocks, and then the attention mechanism is used to capture the relationship between different blocks to realize real-time image analysis. To anticipate the position, the particle filter algorithm is used with historical data and sensor inputs to produce a high-precision estimate of the target position. The experimental results in different scenes show that the average target capture time of the algorithm based on fuzzy logic control is shortened by 20% compared with the traditional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) method, from 5.2 s of the traditional PID to 4.2 s. The average tracking error is reduced by 15%, from 0.8 m of traditional PID to 0.68 m. Meanwhile, in the case of environmental change and target motion change, this algorithm shows better robustness, and the fluctuation range of tracking error is only half of that of traditional PID. This shows that the fuzzy logic control theory is successfully applied to the UAV target tracking field, which proves the effectiveness of this method in improving the target tracking performance. The recent advancements in mobile technologies have enabled the widespread adoption of augmented reality (AR) to enrich cultural heritage (CH) digital experiences. Mobile AR leverages visual recognition capabilities and sensor data to superimpose digital elements into the user's view of their surroundings. The pervasive nature of AR serves several purposes in CH: visitor guidance, 3D reconstruction, educational experiences, and mobile location-based games. While most literature reviews on AR in CH focus on technological aspects such as tracking algorithms and software frameworks, there has been little exploration of the expressive affordances of AR for the delivery of meaningful interactions. This paper (based on the PRISMA guidelines) considers 64 selected publications, published from 2016 to 2023, that present mobile AR applications in CH, with the aim of identifying and analyzing the (mobile) AR (interaction) design patterns that have so far been discussed sporadically in the literature. We identify sixteen (16) main UX design patterns, as well as eight (8) patterns with a single occurrence in the paper corpus, that have been employed—sometimes in combination—to address recurring design problems or contexts, e.g., user navigation, representing the past, uncovering hidden elements, etc. We analyze each AR design pattern by providing a title, a working definition, principal use cases, and abstract illustrations that indicate the main concept and its workings (where applicable) and explanation with respect to examples from the paper corpus. We discuss the AR design patterns in terms of a few broader design and development concerns, including the AR recognition approach, content production and development requirements, and affordances for storytelling, as well as possible contexts and experiences, including indoor/outdoor settings, location-based experiences, mobile guides, and mobile games. We envisage that this work will thoroughly inform AR designers and developers abot the current state of the art and the possibilities and affordances of mobile AR design patterns with respect to particular CH contexts. Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) is widely used in applications such as High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission, AC/DC power conversion centers, and large-scale power quality management in electrical grids due to its highly modular structure, strong redundancy and low harmonic content in AC output. The application of the traditional deadbeat predictive current control to MMC enhances the fast tracking ability of the output current, but it still has the problems of low output current accuracy and high dependence on bridge arm inductor. Based on this, this paper proposes an improved two-beat deadbeat synchronous predictive current control based on Newton interpolation method. By improving the two-beat deadbeat synchronous predictive current control strategy, the accuracy of the output current can be further improved and its fast tracking ability can be enhanced. Newton interpolation is introduced to improve the accuracy of the output current while reducing the dependence on the bridge arm inductor. The results show that the control strategy proposed in this paper reduces the output current THD by 2.88% compared with the two-beat deadbeat predictive current control, thus improving the accuracy; the bridge arm inductor value is reduced by 1.28%, thus reducing the dependence; and under the transient environment, the output current can be tracked to its predicted reference value 843 µs in advance, which enhances the fast tracking capability. Simple Summary: Through the non-destructive recognition and tracking algorithm of multi-objective behaviors of beef cattle, practitioners are able to obtain beef cattle feeding information in an all-round way, which lays the foundation for intelligent farming. This study is based on the deep learning recognition algorithm YOLOv8 and tracking algorithm Deep SORT. Through optimizing the convolution module, introducing the attention mechanism, improving the re-identification network, and the trajectory generation and matching process, a new method for the non-destructive identification and tracking of multi-target behaviors of beef cattle is constructed. The average accuracy of nine behaviors can be up to 96.5%, and the accuracy of multi-target tracking is up to 92.1%, which can provide technical support for beef cattle management. The method proposed in this paper provides theoretical and practical support for the intelligent recognition and management of beef cattle. Accurate identification and tracking of beef cattle behaviors are essential components of beef cattle production management. Traditional beef cattle identification and tracking methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive, which hinders precise cattle farming. This paper utilizes deep learning algorithms to achieve the identification and tracking of multi-object behaviors in beef cattle, as follows: (1) The beef cattle behavior detection module is based on the YOLOv8n algorithm. Initially, a dynamic snake convolution module is introduced to enhance the ability to extract key features of beef cattle behaviors and expand the model's receptive field. Subsequently, the BiFormer attention mechanism is incorporated to integrate high-level and low-level feature information, dynamically and sparsely learning the behavioral features of beef cattle. The improved YOLOv8n_BiF_DSC algorithm achieves an identification accuracy of 93.6% for nine behaviors, including standing, lying, mounting, fighting, licking, eating, drinking, working, and searching, with average 50 and 50:95 precisions of 96.5% and 71.5%, showing an improvement of 5.3%, 5.2%, and 7.1% over the original YOLOv8n. (2) The beef cattle multi-object tracking module is based on the Deep SORT algorithm. Initially, the detector is replaced with YOLOv8n_BiF_DSC to enhance detection accuracy. Subsequently, the re-identification network model is switched to ResNet18 to enhance the tracking algorithm's capability to gather appearance information. Finally, the trajectory generation and matching process of the Deep SORT algorithm is optimized with secondary IOU matching to reduce ID mismatching errors during tracking. Experimentation with five different complexity levels of test video sequences shows improvements in IDF1, IDS, MOTA, and MOTP, among other metrics, with IDS reduced by 65.8% and MOTA increased by 2%. These enhancements address issues of tracking omission and misidentification in sparse and long-range dense environments, thereby facilitating better tracking of group-raised beef cattle and laying a foundation for intelligent detection and tracking in beef cattle farming. This paper constructs a nonlinear iterative filtering framework based on a neural network prediction model. It uses recurrent neural networks (RNNs) to achieve accurate regression of complex maneuvering target dynamic models and integrates them into the nonlinear iterative filtering system via Unscented Transformation (UT). In constructing the neural network prediction model, the Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN) modules that capture long-term dependencies and the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) modules that selectively forget non-essential information were utilized to achieve accurate regression of the maneuvering models. When embedding the neural network prediction model, this paper proposes a method for extracting Sigma points using the UT transformation by 'unfolding' multi-sequence vectors and explores design techniques for the time sliding window length of recurrent neural networks. Ultimately, an intelligent tracking algorithm based on unscented filtering, called TCN-LSTM-UKF, was developed, effectively addressing the difficulties of constructing models and transition delays under high-maneuvering conditions and significantly improving the tracking performance of highly maneuvering targets. Small UAV target detection and tracking based on cross-modality image fusion have gained widespread attention. Due to the limited feature information available from small UAVs in images, where they occupy a minimal number of pixels, the precision required for detection and tracking algorithms is particularly high in complex backgrounds. Image fusion techniques can enrich the detailed information for small UAVs, showing significant advantages under extreme lighting conditions. Image registration is a fundamental step preceding image fusion. It is essential to achieve accurate image alignment before proceeding with image fusion to prevent severe ghosting and artifacts. This paper specifically focused on the alignment of small UAV targets within infrared and visible light imagery. To address this issue, this paper proposed a cross-modality image registration network based on deep learning, which includes a structure preservation and style transformation network (SPSTN) and a multi-level cross-attention residual registration network (MCARN). Firstly, the SPSTN is employed for modality transformation, transferring the cross-modality task into a single-modality task to reduce the information discrepancy between modalities. Then, the MCARN is utilized for single-modality image registration, capable of deeply extracting and fusing features from pseudo infrared and visible images to achieve efficient registration. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, comprehensive experimental evaluations were conducted on the Anti-UAV dataset. The extensive evaluation results validate the superiority and universality of the cross-modality image registration framework proposed in this paper, which plays a crucial role in subsequent image fusion tasks for more effective target detection. Fruit recognition and location are the premises of robot automatic picking. YOLOv3 has been used to detect different fruits in complex environment. However, for the object with definite features, the complex network structure will increase the computing time and may cause overfitting. Therefore, this paper has carried out a lightweight design for the YOLOv3. This paper proposed an improved T-Net to detect tomato images. Firstly, the T-Net reduces the residual network layers. This paper changed the number of cycles in each group of the residual unit to 1, 2, 2, 1, and 1. Second, two feature layers with different scales are selected according to the features of tomatoes. Meanwhile, the convolutional layer at the neck has been reduced by two layers. Finally, the location and approximate diameter of the ripe tomato are obtained by combining the node information of the Intel D435i camera and T-Net in the Robot Operation System. T-Net obtains mean average precision (mAP) of 99.2%, F1-score of 98.9%, precision of 99.0%, and recall of 98.8% at a detection rate of 104.2 FPS. The proposed T-Net has outperformed the YOLOv3 with 0.4%, 0.1%, and 0.2% increase in precision, mAP, and F1-score. The detection speed of T-Net is 1.8 times faster than YOLOv3. The mean errors of the center coordinates and diameter of the tomato are 8.5 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively. This model provides a method for efficient real-time detection and location of tomatoes. This paper proposes an optimal path planning algorithm to make the autonomous vehicle follow the desired path profile while avoiding nearby obstacles safely. Also, it utilizes only readily available sensors equipped with typical autonomous vehicle system. For optimal path planning, an artificial potential field (APF) algorithm to derive both desired vehicle longitudinal velocity and desired vehicle yaw angle in real time is newly designed, which includes both a repulsive field for avoiding road boundaries and nearby obstacles ahead, and an attractive field for following the proper lane. Next, the path tracking control algorithm consists of longitudinal and lateral motion controllers. Especially, a model predictive control (MPC) for vehicle lateral motion causes the yaw angle error between the desired path profile and the vehicle to approach zero. Then, it can derive an optimal front steering angle considering vehicle state and input constraints. Using CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in this paper is verified in some driving scenarios. Aiming at the problem that the SSD algorithm does not fully extract the feature information contained in each feature layer, as well as the feature information is easily lost during the sampling process, which makes the feature expression ineffective and leads to insufficient performance in small target detection. In this paper, AMT-SSD is proposed, a small target detection algorithm that incorporates the multi-branch stacking and new sampling transition module of the attention mechanism. In this algorithm, the composite attention mechanism is utilized to improve the correlation of features of the samples to be detected in terms of spatial and channels, and the efficiency of the algorithm; secondly, multi-branch stacking module is used to extract multi-size features for each feature layer, and different sizes of convolution kernels are utilized in parallel to fully extract their features and improve the expression of features; meanwhile, during the sampling process, the problem of missing features is solved by applying inverse subpixel convolution in the new sampling transition module. Experimentally, the AMT-SSD algorithm achieves 84.6% and 53.4% mAP metrics on the PASCAL VOC dataset and MS COCO dataset, respectively. This indicates that the AMT-SSD algorithm can effectively extract feature information that is beneficial to detection samples, and also performs well in reducing feature loss, which is effective for the algorithm to improve the algorithm on small targets. LiDAR-based simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) offer robustness against illumination changes, but the inherent sparsity of LiDAR point clouds poses challenges for continuous tracking and navigation, especially in feature-deprived scenarios. This paper proposes a novel LiDAR/SINS tightly integrated SLAM algorithm designed to address the localization challenges in urban environments characterized in sparse structural features. Firstly, the method extracts edge points from the LiDAR point cloud using a traditional segmentation method and clusters them to form distinctive edge lines. Then, a rotation-invariant feature—line distance—is calculated based on the edge line properties that were inspired by the traditional tightly integrated navigation system. This line distance is utilized as the observation in a Kalman filter that is integrated into a tightly coupled LiDAR/SINS system. This system tracks the same edge lines across multiple frames for filtering and correction instead of tracking points or LiDAR odometry results. Meanwhile, for loop closure, the method modifies the common SCANCONTEXT algorithm by designating all bins that do not reach the maximum height as special loop keys, which reduce false matches. Finally, the experimental validation conducted in urban environments with sparse structural features demonstrated a 17% improvement in positioning accuracy when compared to the conventional point-based methods. In this paper, a new torque sharing function control strategy is proposed to reduce the torque ripple. The traditional torque ripple methods, such as exponential and linear torque allocation strategies, the torque generation capacity of each phase and the power limitation of the power converter is not taken into account, in this paper, the communication region is divided into three intervals by establishing a new partitioning standard. According to the re-established reference function of torque generation, the torque deviation caused by phase current tracking error is compensated according to the torque generation capacity. Both optimization of torque ripple suppression and copper loss minimization are taken into consideration in this paper. To verify the validity and performances of the proposed TSF methods, simulations and experiments have been implemented in a 12/8 structure Switched Reluctance Motor prototype. This method can be applied to other switched reluctance motors with different topologies. Frequent occlusion of tracking targets leads to poor performance of tracking algorithms. A common practice in multi-target tracking algorithms is to re-identify the occluded tracking targets, which increases the number of identity switching occurrences. This paper focuses on online multi-object tracking and designs an anti-occlusion, robust association strategy, and feature extraction model. Specifically, the least squares algorithm and the Kalman filter are used to predict the trajectory of the tracking target, while the two-way self-attention mechanism is employed to extract the features of the tracking target, as well as positive and negative samples. After the tracking target is occluded, the association strategy is used to assign the identity information from before the occlusion. To solve the tracking accuracy degradation problem in scenarios with large displacements or nonrigid motion during target tracking, this paper proposes an optical flow estimation method based on multiscale anisotropic convolution. The network structure is improved in a step-by-step manner by extracting the data flow from the network according to the observed features. For the low-level neural network, a layered multiscale structure is used to build a cascade network by using hybrid dilated convolution to obtain feature information at different scales while ensuring the tracking accuracy. For the upper-layer neural network, hybrid inflated deformable convolution is used by learning the contextual long-range correlations and multidirectional adaptive offsets of features. Experiments are conducted on the Flying Chairs, KITTI, and MPI datasets. The results show that compared with various popular algorithm methods, the model in this paper reduces endpoint errors while retaining edge information in regions with large displacements or nonrigid motion. To address the challenges of high complexity, poor real-time performance, and low detection rates for small target vehicles in existing vehicle object detection algorithms, this paper proposes a real-time lightweight architecture based on You Only Look Once (YOLO) v5m. Firstly, a lightweight upsampling operator called Content-Aware Reassembly of Features (CARAFE) is introduced in the feature fusion layer of the network to maximize the extraction of deep-level features for small target vehicles, reducing the missed detection rate and false detection rate. Secondly, a new prediction layer for tiny targets is added, and the feature fusion network is redesigned to enhance the detection capability for small targets. Finally, this paper applies L1 regularization to train the improved network, followed by pruning and fine-tuning operations to remove redundant channels, reducing computational and parameter complexity and enhancing the detection efficiency of the network. Training is conducted on the VisDrone2019-DET dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithmreduces parameters and computation by 63.8% and 65.8%, respectively. The average detection accuracy improves by 5.15%, and the detection speed reaches 47 images per second, satisfying real-time requirements. Compared with existing approaches, including YOLOv5m and classical vehicle detection algorithms, our method achieves higher accuracy and faster speed for real-time detection of small target vehicles in edge computing. To take advantage of the speed advantage of the Camshift and try to overcome the problem of its poor robustness in target tracking, in this paper, a real time target face tracking algorithm based on saliency detection and Camshift is proposed. Considering that the target to be tracked is more significant than the background in the frame, the saliency detection algorithm MBplus is first used to remove the background around the target as much as possible, so as to reduce the interference caused by the background to the Camshift tracking results. Then the Camshift is used to search and localize the targets in the processed video frames. At the same time, to compensate for the lack of tracking ability of Camshift for some characteristic targets, the Kalman filter is used to predict the position of the target in the current frame. Finally, the Kalman-predicted target position, the target position obtained by Camshift, are compared with the target tracked in the previous frame, and the position with high similarity is considered as the target tracking result of this paper. The experimental results show that the average tracking precision of the proposed target face tracking algorithm on the Birchfield database is 94.0%, its average tracking success rate on the NRC-IIT Facial Video Database is 100%, and even for the target faces with few attributes in ytcelebrity database, its tracking precision and tracking success rate are all 100%, which are superior to some state-of-the-art tracking algorithms. The object detection task is to locate and classify objects in an image. The current state‐of‐the‐art high‐accuracy object detection algorithms rely on complex networks and high computational cost. These algorithms have high requirements on the memory resource and computing capability of the deployed device, and are difficult to apply to mobile and embedded devices. Through the depthwise separable convolution and multiple efficient network structures, this paper designs a lightweight backbone network and two different multiscale feature fusion structures, and proposes a lightweight one‐stage object detection algorithm—MiniYOLO. With the model size of only 4.2 MB, MiniYOLO still maintains a high detection accuracy, realizing the trade‐off between the model size and detection accuracy. Experimental results on MS COCO 2017 data set show that compared to the state‐of‐the‐art PP‐YOLO‐tiny, MiniYOLO achieves higher mAP with the same model size. The deployment of distributed energy storage on the demand side has significantly enhanced the flexibility of power systems. However, effectively controlling these large-scale and geographically dispersed energy storage devices remains a major challenge in demand-side management. In this paper, we propose a CPS-based framework for controlling a distributed energy storage aggregator (DESA) in demand-side management. Within this framework, a distributed power tracking control algorithm is designed to ensure both power tracking and state-of-charge (SoC) balancing among the energy storage units (ESUs) within the DESA. The proposed algorithm utilizes a distributed observation-based approach that relies solely on local communication. It is demonstrated that the algorithm achieves power tracking convergence within a fixed time, while asymptotically achieving SoC balancing when assuming a connected communication network among the storage units. This paper addresses the problems of valve-turning operation in rescue environments where a wheeled mobile manipulator (WMM) is employed, including the possible occurrence of large internal forces. Rather than attempting to obtain the exact position of the valve, this paper presents a solution to two main problems in robotic valve-turning operations: the radial position deviation between the rotation axes of the tool and the valve handle, which may cause large radial forces, and the possible axial displacement of the valve handle as the valve turns, which may lead to large axial forces. For the former problem, we designed a compliant end-effector with a tolerance of approximately 3.5° (angle) and 9.7 mm (position), and provided a hybrid passive/active compliance method. For the latter problem, a passivity-based force tracking algorithm was employed. Combining the custom-built compliant end-effector and the passivity-based control method can significantly reduce both the radial and the axial forces. Additionally, for valves with different installation types and WMMs with different configurations, we analyzed the minimum required number of actuators for valve turning. This paper employs an integral reinforcement learning (IRL) method to investigate the optimal tracking control problem (OTCP) for nonlinear nonzero-sum (NZS) differential game systems with unknown drift dynamics. Unlike existing methods, which can only bound the tracking error, the proposed approach ensures that the tracking error asymptotically converges to zero. This study begins by constructing an augmented system using the tracking error and reference signal, transforming the original OTCP into solving the coupled Hamilton–Jacobi (HJ) equation of the augmented system. Because the HJ equation contains unknown drift dynamics and cannot be directly solved, the IRL method is utilized to convert the HJ equation into an equivalent equation without unknown drift dynamics. To solve this equation, a critic neural network (NN) is employed to approximate the complex value function based on the tracking error and reference information data. For the unknown NN weights, the least squares (LS) method is used to design an estimation law, and the convergence of the weight estimation error is subsequently proven. The approximate solution of optimal control converges to the Nash equilibrium, and the tracking error asymptotically converges to zero in the closed system. This paper deals with a new design problem of adaptive gain robust model-following/tracking controllers for a class of systems with matched and unmatched uncertainties via piecewise Lyapunov functions. In the proposed design approach, compensation inputs for matched and mismatched uncertainties for the system are introduced and the proposed adaptive gain model-following/tracking robust controller can achieve that the tracking error decreases asymptotically to zero in spite of uncertainties. In this paper, on the basis of the concept of piecewise Lyapunov functions, we show linear matrix inequality-based sufficient conditions for the existence of the proposed controller. Effective safety management is vital for ensuring construction safety. Traditional safety inspections in construction heavily rely on manual labor, which is both time-consuming and labor-intensive. Extensive research has been conducted integrating computer-vision technologies to facilitate intelligent surveillance and improve safety measures. However, existing research predominantly focuses on singular tasks, while construction environments necessitate comprehensive analysis. This study introduces a multi-task computer vision technology approach for the enhanced monitoring of construction safety. The process begins with the collection and processing of multi-source video surveillance data. Subsequently, YOLOv8, a deep learning-based computer vision model, is adapted to meet specific task requirements by modifying the head component of the framework. This adaptation enables efficient detection and segmentation of construction elements, as well as the estimation of person and machine poses. Moreover, a tracking algorithm integrates these capabilities to continuously monitor detected elements, thereby facilitating the proactive identification of unsafe practices on construction sites. The detection and tracking of the small target in infrared video are among the most critical technologies in computer vision applications. These include video surveillance and infrared imaging precision guidance. Recently, more and more infrared small target detection and tracking algorithms have been proposed. However, most existing algorithms have complex processing problems, high false alarm rates, and low detection accuracy. To achieve accurate detection and tracking of infrared small targets, this paper proposes an algorithm for detection and tracking of infrared small targets using infrared small target feature point and gradient information. Feature point detection is used to detect possible targets, and possible targets are further processed through direction gradient calculation. Then, in the adjacent sequence images, it is matched according to the local features of adjacent frames. According to the characteristics of infrared small target motion, this paper proposes a target motion generation trajectory to verify the accuracy of the detection algorithm. Aiming at the problems of target detection models in traffic scenarios including a large number of parameters, heavy computational burden, and high application cost, this paper introduces an enhanced lightweight real-time detection algorithm, which exhibits higher detection speed and accuracy for vehicle detection. This paper considers the YOLOv7 algorithm as the benchmark model, designs a lightweight backbone network, and uses the MobileNetV3 lightweight network to extract target features. Inspired by the structure of SPPF, the spatial pyramid pooling module is reconfigured by incorporating GSConv, and a lightweight SPPFCSPC-GS module is designed, aiming to minimize the quantity of model parameters and enhance the training speed even further. Furthermore, the CA mechanism is integrated to enhance the feature extraction capability of the model. Finally, the MPDIoU loss function is utilized to optimize the model's training process. Experiments showcase that the refined YOLOv7 algorithm can achieve 98.2% mAP on the BIT-Vehicle dataset with 52.8% fewer model parameters than the original model and a 35.2% improvement in FPS. With the development of automated vehicles, researches related to automated vehicle platoon (AVP) have received more and more attention. AVP is considered one of the effective means to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce vehicle energy consumption. This paper studies a three‐layer method of avoiding obstacle vehicles in traffic by switching the formation for the automated heavy vehicle platoon. In the decision‐making layer, a decision‐making system based on the finite‐state machine is established for formation switching. In the second layer, the lane‐changing trajectory is optimized based on the quantic polynomial curve fitting for vehicles that need to change lanes. In terms of vehicle control layer, each vehicle has a longitudinal controller based on sliding mode control and a lateral controller based on model predictive control to track the planned trajectory to complete the target formation. Finally, the proposed method is simulated in MATLAB/TruckSim. In order to address the challenges of identifying, detecting, and tracking moving objects in video surveillance, this paper emphasizes image-based dynamic entity detection. It delves into the complexities of numerous moving objects, dense targets, and intricate backgrounds. Leveraging the You Only Look Once (YOLOv3) algorithm framework, this paper proposes improvements in image segmentation and data filtering to address these challenges. These enhancements form a novel multi-object detection algorithm based on an improved YOLOv3 framework, specifically designed for video applications. Experimental validation demonstrates the feasibility of this algorithm, with success rates exceeding 60% for videos such as "jogging", "subway", "video 1", and "video 2". Notably, the detection success rates for "jogging" and "video 1" consistently surpass 80%, indicating outstanding detection performance. Although the accuracy slightly decreases for "Bolt" and "Walking2", success rates still hover around 70%. Comparative analysis with other algorithms reveals that this method's tracking accuracy surpasses that of particle filters, Discriminative Scale Space Tracker (DSST), and Scale Adaptive Multiple Features (SAMF) algorithms, with an accuracy of 0.822. With the continuous development of science and technology, intelligent surveillance technology using image processing and computer vision is also progressing. To improve the performance of target detection and tracking, an improved target tracking method is proposed, which uses a combination of the Canny operator and morphology for the detection part, and a Kalman filter extended Kernel Correlation Filter (KCF) tracking algorithm approach for the tracking part. First, a convolution kernel of 3 × 3 is improved to a convolution kernel of 2 × 2 in the traditional Canny algorithm, and the pixel gradient in the diagonal direction is increased. Secondly, a mathematical morphology theory of nonlinear filtering is applied to the Canny edge detection algorithm, and this method effectively improves the clarity of image edges. Visual object tracking is a key technology that is used in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to achieve autonomous navigation. In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning, tracking algorithms based on Siamese neural networks have received widespread attention. However, because of complex and diverse tracking scenarios, as well as limited computational resources, most existing tracking algorithms struggle to ensure real-time stable operation while improving tracking performance. Therefore, studying efficient and fast-tracking frameworks, and enhancing the ability of algorithms to respond to complex scenarios has become crucial. Therefore, this paper proposes a cross-parallel attention and efficient match transformer for aerial tracking (SiamEMT). Firstly, we carefully designed the cross-parallel attention mechanism to encode global feature information and to achieve cross-dimensional interaction and feature correlation aggregation via parallel branches, highlighting feature saliency and reducing global redundancy information, as well as improving the tracking algorithm's ability to distinguish between targets and backgrounds. Meanwhile, we implemented an efficient match transformer to achieve feature matching. This network utilizes parallel, lightweight, multi-head attention mechanisms to pass template information to the search region features, better matching the global similarity between the template and search regions, and improving the algorithm's ability to perceive target location and feature information. Experiments on multiple drone public benchmark tests verified the accuracy and robustness of the proposed tracker in drone tracking scenarios. Salient object detection (SOD) aims to identify the most visually striking objects in a scene, simulating the function of the biological visual attention system. The attention mechanism in deep learning is commonly used as an enhancement strategy which enables the neural network to concentrate on the relevant parts when processing input data, effectively improving the model's learning and prediction abilities. Existing saliency object detection methods based on RGB deep learning typically treat all regions equally by using the extracted features, overlooking the fact that different regions have varying contributions to the final predictions. Based on the U2Net algorithm, this paper incorporates the split coordinate channel attention (SCCA) mechanism into the feature extraction stage. SCCA conducts spatial transformation in width and height dimensions to efficiently extract the location information of the target to be detected. While pixel-level semantic segmentation based on annotation has been successful, it assigns the same weight to each pixel which leads to poor performance in detecting the boundary of objects. In this paper, the Canny edge detection loss is incorporated into the loss calculation stage to improve the model's ability to detect object edges. Based on the DUTS and HKU-IS datasets, experiments confirm that the proposed strategies effectively enhance the model's detection performance, resulting in a 0.8% and 0.7% increase in the F1-score of U2Net. Relative pupillary afferent disorder (RAPD) plays a crucial role in diagnosing optic nerve dysfunction. This paper introduces an innovative equipment design with a high-speed pupil detection algorithm and a binocular independent stimulation optical path. The proposed algorithm utilizes the grayscale characteristics of the pupil region to achieve rapid and accurate pupil detection and tracking. Initially, a pupil threshold is estimated using eigenvalues, enabling the calculation of the pupil centroid. Subsequently, leveraging the unique characteristics of the pupil region, a dynamic tracking algorithm, a second-order partial derivative threshold algorithm, and a pupil diameter extraction algorithm are employed to precisely locate the centroid. Pedestrian tracking in surveillance videos is crucial and challenging for precise personnel management. Due to the limited coverage of a single video, the integration of multiple surveillance videos is necessary in practical applications. In the realm of pedestrian management using multiple surveillance videos, continuous pedestrian tracking is quite important. However, prevailing cross-video pedestrian matching methods mainly rely on the appearance features of pedestrians, resulting in low matching accuracy and poor tracking robustness. To address these shortcomings, this paper presents a cross-video pedestrian tracking algorithm, which introduces spatial information. The proposed algorithm introduces the coordinate features of pedestrians in different videos and a linear weighting strategy focusing on the overlapping view of the tracking process. The performance of underwater target detection algorithms is affected by poor imaging quality in underwater environments. Due to the arithmetic power limitation of underwater devices, existing deep learning networks are unable to provide efficient detection processes with high detection accuracy. Lightweight CNN models have been actively applied for underwater environment detection, yet their lite feature fusion networks cannot provide effective fusion effects and reduce the detection accuracy. In this paper, a lightweight algorithm based on multi-scale feature fusion was proposed, with the model parameters greatly reduced, improving the target detection accuracy. The forward propagation memory overhead is reduced by using multi-scale shared convolutional kernels and pooling operations to co-construct the query matrix in the Tansformer encoding stage. Then, the feature fusion path is optimized in order to enhance the connection of multi-scale features. A multiscale feature adaptive fusion strategy is used to enhance the detection performance and reduce the dependence on the complex feature extraction network. The feature extraction network is also reparameterized to simplify the operation. Using the UPRC offshore dataset for validation, the study results have demonstrated that the statistical mAP metrics validate the detection accuracy. Compared with SSD, RetinaNet and YOLOv5-s improved by 13%, 8.6%, and 0.8%, while the number of parameters decreased by 76.09%, 89.74%, and 87.67%. On the transmission line, the invasion of foreign objects such as kites, plastic bags, and balloons and the damage to electronic components are common transmission line faults. Detecting these faults is of great significance for the safe operation of power systems. Therefore, a YOLOv5 target detection method based on a deep convolution neural network is proposed. In this paper, Mobilenetv2 is used to replace Cross Stage Partial (CSP)-Darknet53 as the backbone. This paper studies a coalition game theoretic power allocation algorithm for multi-target detection in radar networks based on low probability of intercept (LPI). The main goal of the algorithm is to reduce the total radiated power of the radar networks while satisfying the predetermined target detection performance of each radar. Firstly, a utility function that comprehensively considers both target detection performance and the radiated power of the radar networks is designed with LPI performance as the guiding principle. Secondly, it causes a coalition to form between cooperating radars, and radars within the same coalition share information. On this basis, a mathematical model for power allocation in radar networks based on coalition game theory is established. The model takes the given target detection performance as a constraint and maximizing system energy efficiency and optimal power allocation as the optimization objective. Furthermore, this paper proposes a game algorithm for joint coalition formation and power allocation in a multi-target detection scenario. Underwater target detection and classification based on sonar images is a challenging task because of the complex underwater environment. In recent years, deep learning technology has effectively improved the detection accuracy of underwater targets compared to traditional sonar image target detection methods, which have a low accuracy and poor robustness. However, deep learning algorithms for sonar image target detection have fewer training samples and a low detection speed. To solve these problems, an improved YOLOv4 based sonar target detection and classification algorithm is proposed in this paper. First, the feature extraction network CSPDarknet-53 in YOLOv4 is improved to reduce both the model parameters and the network depth. Second, the PANet feature enhancement module in the YOLOv4 model is replaced by the adaptive spatial feature fusion module (ASFF) to obtain a better feature fusion effect. In addition, the number of fusion feature layers is increased to improve the receptive field and detection accuracy. Furthermore, this paper uses the k-means++ algorithm to cluster the sonar image dataset to obtain the appropriate size and number of anchor boxes for model training. Introduction: Green pepper yield estimation is crucial for establishing harvest and storage strategies. Method: This paper proposes an automatic counting method for green pepper fruits based on object detection and multi-object tracking algorithm. Green pepper fruits have colors similar to leaves and are often occluded by each other, posing challenges for detection. Based on the YOLOv5s, the CS_YOLOv5s model is specifically designed for green pepper fruit detection. In the CS_YOLOv5s model, a Slim-Nick combined with GSConv structure is utilized in the Neck to reduce model parameters while enhancing detection speed. Additionally, the CBAM attention mechanism is integrated into the Neck to enhance the feature perception of green peppers at various locations and enhance the feature extraction capabilities of the model. Result: According to the test results, the CS_YOLOv5s model of mAP, Precision and Recall, and Detection time of a single image are 98.96%, 95%, 97.3%, and 6.3 ms respectively. Compared to the YOLOv5s model, the Detection time of a single image is reduced by 34.4%, while Recall and mAP values are improved. Additionally, for green pepper fruit tracking, this paper combines appearance matching algorithms and track optimization algorithms from SportsTrack to optimize the DeepSort algorithm. Considering three different scenarios of tracking, the MOTA and MOTP are stable, but the ID switch is reduced by 29.41%. Based on the CS_YOLOv5s model, the counting performance before and after DeepSort optimization is compared. For green pepper counting in videos, the optimized DeepSort algorithm achieves ACP (Average Counting Precision), MAE (Mean Absolute Error), and RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) values of 95.33%, 3.33, and 3.74, respectively. This paper presents a comparative study between traditional and intelligent Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms for Photovoltaic (PV) powered DC Shunt Motors. Given the nonlinearity of PV systems, they require nonstandard approaches to harness their full potential. Each PV module has a unique maximum power point on its IV curve due to its nonlinear characteristic nature. Power electronic converters are utilized to enable operation at that point. There are many different algorithms described in the introduction, each with its have their own advantages and drawbacks. Recognizing the potential enhancement of PV system efficiency through effective Maximum Power Point (MPP) tracking, this paper evaluates five MPPT methods under varying DC loads. The five algorithms will be as follows: Incremental Conductance and Perturb and Observe as traditional algorithms. Fuzzy Logic Control, Artificial Neural Networks, and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems as Intelligent Algorithms. While traditional algorithms generally produced acceptable results except for Perturb & Observe, intelligent algorithms performed well under rapidly changing solar radiation conditions. Due to inadequate data, intelligent algorithms relying on data training struggled to track the maximum power point when the temperature changed due to inadequate data used for the training. This paper focuses on detecting and tracking maneuvering weak targets in the range–Doppler (RD) plane with the track-before-detect (TBD) algorithm based on dynamic programming (DP). Traditional DP-TBD algorithms integrate target detection and tracking in their framework while searching the paths provided by a predefined model of the kinematic properties within the constraints allowed. However, both the approximate motion model used in the RD plane and the model mismatch caused when the target undergoes a maneuver can degrade the TBD performance sharply. To address these issues, this paper accurately describes the evolution of the RD equation based on Constant Acceleration (CA) and Coordinated Turn (CT) motion models with the process noise in the Cartesian coordinate system, and it also employs a recursive method to estimate the parameters in the equations for efficient energy accumulation and path searches. Facing the situation that targets energy accumulation during the DP iteration process will lead to an expansion of the target energy accumulation process. This paper designs a more efficient Optimization Function (OF) to inhibit the expansion effect, improve the resolution of the nearby targets, and increase the detection probability of the weak targets simultaneously. In order to solve the related problems of detection and tracking of shallow marine organisms, this paper designs a YOLO v5 multi‐target detection and tracking algorithm with attention mechanism. When working underwater, the authors usually encounter many difficulties. Different luminosity and complex coral background usually affect the detection of marine organisms. At the same time, the unrestricted movement of marine organisms, the ability to hide behind rocks and algae, and their mutual occlusion while swimming pose additional challenges to this task. Considering the characteristics of shallow marine organisms activity environment, the attention mechanism is added to the feature extraction network of YOLO v5 to reduce redundant information and improve the detection accuracy of shallow marine organism targets in complex environment. The improved algorithm improves the average detection accuracy of marine organisms target detection by 3.2%. Aiming at the problem of shallow marine organisms target tracking, a shallow marine organisms multi‐target tracking algorithm based on improved Deep Simple Online And Realtime Tracking (SORT) is designed. The improved YOLO v5 algorithm is used to replace Faster R‐CNN (Faster Region‐Convolutional Neural Networks) as the detector of DeepSORT tracking algorithm, and the cascade matching strategy is adopted to solve the problem that the target cannot be tracked continuously when it is occluded for a long time. Real-time target detection plays an important role in campus intelligent surveillance systems. This paper introduces Soft-NMS, GSConv, Triplet Attention, and other advanced technologies to propose a lightweight pedestrian and vehicle detection model named SGST-YOLOv8. In this paper, the improved YOLOv8 model is trained on the self-made dataset, and the tracking algorithm is combined to achieve an accurate and efficient real-time pedestrian and vehicle tracking detection system. The improved model achieved an accuracy of 88.6%, which is 1.2% higher than the baseline model YOLOv8. Additionally, the mAP0.5:0.95 increased by 3.2%. The model parameters and GFLOPS reduced by 5.6% and 7.9%, respectively. In the realm of intelligent transportation, pedestrian detection has witnessed significant advancements. However, it continues to grapple with challenging issues, notably the detection of pedestrians in complex lighting scenarios. Conventional visible light mode imaging is profoundly affected by varying lighting conditions. Under optimal daytime lighting, visibility is enhanced, leading to superior pedestrian detection outcomes. Conversely, under low-light conditions, visible light mode imaging falters due to the inadequate provision of pedestrian target information, resulting in a marked decline in detection efficacy. In this context, infrared light mode imaging emerges as a valuable supplement, bolstering pedestrian information provision. This paper delves into pedestrian detection and tracking algorithms within a multi-modal image framework grounded in deep learning methodologies. Leveraging the YOLOv4 algorithm as a foundation, augmented by a channel stack fusion module, a novel multi-modal pedestrian detection algorithm tailored for intelligent transportation is proposed. This algorithm capitalizes on the fusion of visible and infrared light mode image features to enhance pedestrian detection performance amidst complex road environments. With the advancement of remote sensing technology, the demand for the accurate monitoring and tracking of various targets utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is increasing. However, challenges such as object deformation, motion blur, and object occlusion during the tracking process could significantly affect tracking performance and ultimately lead to tracking drift. To address this issue, this paper introduces a high-precision target-tracking method with anomaly tracking status detection and recovery. The scope of complex dynamical networks (CDNs) with dynamic edges is very wide, as it is composed of a class of realistic networks including web-winding systems, communication networks, neural networks, etc. However, a classic research topic in CDNs, the synchronization control problem, has not been effectively solved for CDNs with dynamic edges. This paper will investigate the emergence mechanism of synchronization from the perspective of large-scale systems. Firstly, a CDN with dynamic edges is conceptualized as an interconnected coupled system composed of an edge subsystem (ES) and a node subsystem (NS). Then, based on the proposed improved directed matrix ES model and expanded matrix inequality, this paper overcomes the limitations of coupling term design in node models and the strong correlation of tracking targets between nodes and edges. Due to the effect of the synthesized node controller and the auxiliary effect of the ES, state synchronization can be realized in the CDN. Cell migration is known to be a fundamental biological process, playing an essential role in development, homeostasis, and diseases. This paper introduces a cell tracking algorithm named HFM-Tracker (Hybrid Feature Matching Tracker) that automatically identifies cell migration behaviours in consecutive images. It combines Contour Attention (CA) and Adaptive Confusion Matrix (ACM) modules to accurately capture cell contours in each image and track the dynamic behaviors of migrating cells in the field of view. Cells are firstly located and identified via the CA module-based cell detection network, and then associated and tracked via a cell tracking algorithm employing a hybrid feature-matching strategy. This proposed HFM-Tracker exhibits superiorities in cell detection and tracking, achieving 75% in MOTA (Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy) and 65% in IDF1 (ID F1 score). It provides quantitative analysis of the cell morphology and migration features, which could further help in understanding the complicated and diverse cell migration processes. Most of the existing trackers based on discriminative correlation filters use only one feature or a simple linear fusion of multiple features for object tracking, and most of them lack a mechanism to handle occlusions. This leads to poor tracking performance in rapidly changing and easily occluded scenarios, especially on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. To address this issue, this paper proposes an anti-occlusion visual tracking algorithm for UAVs with multi-feature adaptive fusion named multi-feature adaptive fusion and anti-occlusion tracker (MAFAOT). It introduces a novel approach for implementing an adaptive fusion of multiple features. This method transforms the multi-feature fusion problem into a maximization issue by designing a tracking quality evaluation index. It successfully achieves an adaptive fusion of gradient direction histogram and color histogram feature responses. MAFAOT also introduces an anti-occlusion update pool strategy, enabling the tracker to adapt dynamically to various complex scenarios, including occlusion and motion blur. The experimental results on the OTB100 and UAV123 datasets confirm the significant advantages of MAFAOT in terms of precision and success rate compared to other correlation filter-based algorithms. The proposed methods further enhance the expressiveness of the features and effectively avoid the problem of tracker contamination caused by occlusion. Furthermore, this paper applies the proposed methods to the kernelized correlation filters (KCF) algorithm. On the OTB100 dataset, the improved KCF algorithm shows an improvement of 10.94% in precision and 11.11% in success rate. In dense scenes, a large number of individuals can introduce serious complications for motion detection, such as blurred vision, chaotic scenes, and complex behaviours. For low-density pedestrian detection and tracking algorithms, the accuracy is greatly reduced for both detection and tracking. High-density detection or tracking fails too when these problems are encountered in high-density scenes. In light of the above problems, a detection algorithm and a tracking algorithm based on the human head and shoulder model are proposed. A support vector machine is used to train the classifier by machine learning. The detection algorithm proposed in this paper achieves a detection accuracy of 94% by using the MIT and INRIA datasets. Forward collision warning (FCW) is a critical technology to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents. However, the existing multi-sensor fusion methods for FCW suffer from a high false alarm rate and missed alarm rate in complex weather and road environments. For these issues, this paper proposes a decision-level fusion collision warning strategy. The vision algorithm and radar tracking algorithm are improved in order to reduce the false alarm rate and omission rate of forward collision warning. Firstly, this paper proposes an information entropy-based memory index for an adaptive Kalman filter for radar target tracking that can adaptively adjust the noise model in a variety of complex environments. Then, for visual detection, the YOLOv5s model is enhanced in conjunction with the SKBAM (Selective Kernel and Bottleneck Attention Mechanism) designed in this paper to improve the accuracy of vehicle target detection. Finally, a decision-level fusion warning fusion strategy for millimeter-wave radar and vision fusion is proposed. The strategy effectively fuses the detection results of radar and vision and employs a minimum safe distance model to determine the potential danger ahead. Experiments are conducted under various weather and road conditions, and the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the false alarm rate by 11.619% and the missed alarm rate by 15.672% compared with the traditional algorithm. Augmented Reality (AR) tries to seamlessly integrate virtual content into the real world of the user. Ideally, the virtual content would behave exactly like real objects. This necessitates a correct and precise estimation of the user’s viewpoint (or that of a camera) with regard to the virtual content’s coordinate system. Therefore, the real-time establishment of 3-dimension (3D) maps in real scenes is particularly important for augmented reality technology. So in this paper, we integrate Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology into augmented reality. Our research is to implement an augmented reality system without markers using the ORB-SLAM2 framework algorithm. In this paper we propose an improved method for Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB) feature extraction and optimized key frame selection, as well as the use of the Progressive Sample Consensus (PROSAC) algorithm for planar estimation of augmented reality implementations, thus solving the problem of increased system runtime because of the loss of large amounts of texture information in images. In this paper, we get better results by comparing experiments and data analysis.
