Aluminum alloys are widely preferred in various fields such as aerospace, ship and automotive due to their lightness and relevant production cost. In this study, electro discharge technique was used in the processing of aluminum 5083 alloy (Al5083) produced by powder metallurgy method. The surface quality resulting from the experiments was investigated in terms of Ra, Rz and Rsm. Experimental studies were carried out according to Taguchi L9 orthogonal experimental design, using three different levels of discharge current, pulse on time and pulse off time parameters. As the discharge current increased, Ra and Rz increased, Rsm first decreased and then increased. As the pulse on time increased, Ra and Rz first increased and then decreased, and Rsm increased. When the pulse off time increased, Ra and Rz decreased and Rsm increased. As a result of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) performed to determine the effect rates of the variable parameters on the surface quality, the order of importance of the parameters was found to be discharge current, pulse off time and pulse on time. The effect of discharge current, which is the most effective parameter according to ANOVA, on Ra, Rz and Rsm was calculated as respectively 70.87%, 70.41% and 36.34%. Microscopic images taken from the tool (copper) and workpiece surface show that the craters and peaks formed by the spark effect are formed on both material surfaces., Alüminyum alaşımları hafifliği ve uygun üretim maliyetiyle havacılık, gemi ve otomotiv gibi çeşitli alanlarda yaygın olarak tercih edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada toz metalurji yöntemi ile üretilen alüminyum 5083 alaşımının (Al5083) işlenmesinde elektro erozyon tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan deneyler sonucu oluşan yüzey kalitesi Ra, Rz ve Rsm cinsinden incelenmiştir. Deneysel çalışmalar, üç farklı seviyede boşalım akımı, vurum süresi ve vurum aralığı parametreleri kullanılarak Taguchi L9 ortogonal deney tasarımına göre yapılmıştır. Boşalım akımı arttıkça Ra ve Rz artmış, Rsm önce azalmış sonra artmıştır. Vurum süresi arttıkça Ra ve Rz önce artmış sonra azalmış, Rsm ise artmıştır. Vurum aralığı arttığında ise Ra ve Rz azalırken, Rsm değerleri artmıştır. İşleme parametrelerinin yüzey kalitesi üzerindeki etki oranlarının belirlenmesi amacı ile yapılan varyans analizi (ANOVA) sonucu parametrelerin önem sırası boşalım akımı, vurum aralığı ve vurum süresi şeklinde bulunmuştur. ANOVA’ya göre en etkili parametre olan boşalım akımının Ra, Rz ve Rsm’ye etkisi sırasıyla %70.87, %70.41 ve %36.34 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Takım (bakır) ve iş parçası yüzeyinden alınan mikroskopik görüntüler kıvılcım etkisi ile oluşan krater ve tepelerin her iki malzeme yüzeyinde de oluştuğunu göstermektedir.

GG25 en yaygın olarak kullanılan dökme demir alaşımıdır. Bu malzeme, yüksek sağlamlık ve aşınma direncine sahiptir ve ek ısıl işleme ihtiyaç duymaz. Bu nedenle üretim maliyetleri düşüktür. Ağırlıklı olarak perlitik yapıya sahip lamelli bir dökme demirdir. Sertlikleri 230 Brinell’e kadar çıkabilmektedir. Bu nedenle özellikle delme ve frezeleme işlemleri zordur. Bu çalışmada özel olarak döktürülmüş GG25 numunelerine yüzey frezeleme işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yüzey frezeleme işlemi için üç farklı kaplamaya sahip kesici uç (TiALN kaplamalı, TiN-TiCN-Al2O3 kaplamalı ve ALTiN kaplamalı), üç farklı kesme hızı (150, 200 ve 250 m/dak), üç farklı ilerleme (0.10, 0.25 ve 0.35 mm/diş) ve üç farklı kesme derinliği (0.5, 1 ve 1.5 mm) kesme parametresi olarak kullanılmıştır. Deneysel tasarım için Taguchi L27 (34) ortogonal dizisi seçilmiş ve 27 deney gerçekleştirilmiş, kesme parametreleri Taguchi metodu ile optimize edilmiştir.. Her bir deney esnasında kesme bölgesinden termal kamera ile sıcaklık ölçümleri yapılmıştır. Deneysel sonuçlar Varyans analizi ve üç boyutlu grafikler ile değerlendirilmiştir. Optimizayon sonucunda minimum sıcaklık için optimum parametreler, TiN-TiCN-Al2O3 kaplamalı kesici uç, 200 m/dak kesme hızı, 0.25 mm/diş ilerleme oranı ve 0.5 mm kesme derinliğidir. Varyans analizi değerlendirildiğinde sıcaklığa etki eden et etkili faktör kesme derinliği olmuştur. Taguchi optimiza parametreler ve üç boyutlu grafikler değerlendirildiğinde, minimum sıcaklık için en uygun kaplama türü TiN-TiCN-Al2O3 kaplamalı kesici uç olduğu görülmüştür.

Son dönemlerde dünyada teknolojide dijital dönüşüm çalışmaları başlatılmıştır. Bu konudaki literatür incelendiğinde nesnelerin interneti konusu eğitim alanında değil, daha çok endüstriyel alanlarda kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Öğrenciler erken yaşlarda elektronik ve yazılım konusunda eğitim alırlarsa, başta geleceğin teknolojisi olan otomasyon olmak üzere savunma sanayi, uzay ve havacılık teknolojileri gibi birçok alanda farklı projeler geliştirebileceklerdir. Bu çalışmada, dijital dönüşüm çalışmalarından biri olan robotik kodlama eğitimleri, bir diğer üst seviye olan “Nesnelerin İnterneti” konusuyla birleştiren, gerekli olan tüm sensör ve devre elemanları, piyasadaki ihtiyaca göre tespit edilmiş ve literatürden farklı olarak; modüler, kolay ara yüzlü, çocukların motor gelişimine katkı sağlayabilecek bütün sensörleri barındıran bir sensör kartı tasarlanmış ve kasasıyla beraber imalatı yapılmıştır. Bu sayede imal edilen kart ile, otomasyon ve haberleştirme konularının temel olarak öğrenilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Tasarlanan cihaz, çift çekirdekli ve dahili kablosuz bağlantıları bulunan mikroişlemci ile gerekli sensörleri bulunduran elektronik bir sensör kartıdır. Hem kendi üzerinde, hem de internete bağlanabilen herhangi bir cihazla bağlantı kurarak, üzerine yazılmış olan algoritmayı çalıştırabilmektedir. Çalışmada ilk olarak elektronik kart imalatı, daha sonra dış kabuk imalatı ve son olarak test yazılımı yapılarak kart sisteminin üretimi tamamlanmıştır.

Yüksek mukavemete sahip alaşımların talaşlı imalatında Termal Destekli İşleme (Thermal Assisted Machining, TAM) yöntemi son yıllarda araştırmalara konu olmaktadır. Geleneksel işleme ile çelişkili görünen bu yöntemde, işlenecek malzemenin sağlamlığını ve sertliğini azaltarak kesme kuvvetlerini düşürmek, takım aşınmasını azaltmak ve malzemeyi daha kolay işlenebilir hale getirerek yüzey pürüzlülüğünü iyileştirmek için harici bir ısı kaynağı kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; yüksek mukavemete sahip AA 7075-T6 alaşımı, sabit talaş derinliğinde, üç farklı kesme hızı, üç farklı ilerleme oranı ve üç farklı soğutma/yağlama yöntemi kullanılarak yüzey frezeleme işlemine tabi tutulmuş ve sonuçları incelenmiştir. Tüm deneylerde en iyi yüzey kalitesine Minimum Miktarda Yağlama (MQL) ile Termal Destekli İşlemenin (TAM) birlikte uygulandığı deneyde (Vc:290, Fz:0,2) ulaşıldığı görülmüştür. MQL kullanmadan yapılan deneylerde, AA 7075 T6 alaşımının ısı altında takıma yapışarak krater oluşturduğu gözlemlenmiştir. SEM görüntüleri incelendiğinde, en düşük takım aşınmasının MQL+TAM deneyinde oluştuğu görülmüştür. MQL ile yapılan deneylerin, kulaklık kullanımını gerektirecek derecede yüksek gürültü oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak; yüksek kesme hızlarında, MQL ile TAM’ın birlikte uygulandığı deneylerde yüzey pürüzlülüğünün, diğer deneylere göre düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, bilgisayar destekli koordinat ölçüm tezgâhlarına (CMM) alternatif bulmak için 3 farklı teknolojiye sahip 3 boyutlu tarama cihazı ölçümleri ile CMM ölçümleri arasındaki farkı araştırmaktır. Tasarım verisi mevcut olan parçanın CMM ve 3 boyutlu tarama cihazı ile ölçüm ve geometrik boyutlandırma toleransı kıyaslaması gerçekleştirildi. Elde edilen verilerle tersine mühendislik uygulaması yapılarak gerçek tasarım arasındaki farklılık karşılaştırılmıştır. 3 boyutlu tarama cihazlarının kullanım kolaylığı, tüm parça üzerinden ölçüm kabiliyeti ve CMM ölçümlerine göre sapma miktarı sunulmuştur. Cihaz tarama kalitesi 2 boyutlu ölçü ve geometrik boyutlandırma toleransı için önemlidir. Tarama cihazları, boyut toleransı ölçümlerinde CMM ölçüm sonucuna daha yakın ölçüm sonuçları bulunmuşken, geometrik boyutlandırma toleransı ölçülerinde daha yüksek ölçüm farklılığı bulunmuştur. Tüm tarama cihazları tersine mühendislik için gerekli verileri sağlamıştır.

In this study, a tension extension spring fatigue machine was designed and manufactured. The force applied by jaws were driven by pneumatic piston. The air pressure is 6 bar that acquired from local pneumatic network. The maximum force was designed to meet at least 12 kN. Thereby, multiple quantity of extension springs can be tested simultaneously. The applied force can be adjusted pneumatic air pressure adjuster. The fatigue cycles were controlled by an electronic circuit. The machine is also designed to complement desired number of fatigue cycles. For this reason, a counter was also added to controller. Manufacturing of the machine elements and its tolerances were also described in detail., Bu çalışmada, bir çekme yayı yorulma makinesi tasarımı ve üretimi yapılmıştır. Çekme çeneleri pnömatik bir piston ile tahrik edilmektedir. Tasarlanan çalışma basıncı lokal pnömatik şebeke basıncı olan 6 bar’dır. En yüksek tahrik kuvveti 12 kN olarak tasarlanmıştır. Bu sayede, birçok yayı aynı anda test edilebilmektedir. Uygulanan kuvvet pnömatik hava basıncı ayarlayıcısı ile ayarlanabilmektedir. Yorulma döngüleri elektronik bir devre ile kontrol edilmektedir. Yorulma makinesi aynı zamanda belirlenen döngü sayısını tamamlaması için tasarlanmıştır. Bu nedenle, bir sayıcı kontrolcüye eklenmiştir. Makinenin her bir elementinin üretimi ve toleransları detaylı bir biçimde açıklanmıştır.

Design of a cutting tool necessitates a comprehension of the applications and quandaries that may come across from manufacturing to the machining process. Developing technologies in components with complicated features and the competition among manufacturers in rapid and precision production leads to design and application of new types of cutting tools with sophisticated geometries. Besides sufficient cutting performance and dimensional accuracies, these tools are required to have setup rigidity, static and dynamic strength to prevent any damages to themselves, holders, and machine components. In this paper, flat bottom drills with various axial and radial rake angles have been designed and subjected to modal analyses using finite element methods. The first six natural frequencies, maximum total displacements, stiffnesses as well as the period of oscillation corresponding to the modes shape have been calculated for the designed tools. Based on the obtained results, it is seen that the designed flat bottom drills have acceptable stiffnesses and natural frequencies to be utilized in machining processes. Radial rake angle has a noticeable influence on the natural frequencies and stiffnesses of the system.

Özlü kaynak telleri, yapısal ve boru hattı kaynağı, gemi yapımı, açık deniz inşaatları, petrokimya ve enerji üretim endüstrilerinde oldukça yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Çok pasolu kaynaklarda yüksek ısı girdileri, daha kısa üretim sürelerine neden olurken, kaynaklı birleştirmenin özelliklerini de önemli ölçüde değiştirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, yapısal çeliklerin kaynaklı birleştirmelerde ısı girdisinin kaynak mikroyapısı, sertlik, çekme özellikleri ve darbe tokluğu üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek için değişen ısı girdileriyle (0,56-2,52 kJ/mm arasında) robotik özlü özlü ark kaynağı yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar, ısı girdisinin 2.52’den 0.56 kJ/mm’e düşmesi ile mikro yapının genelinin poligonal ferritten asiküler ferrite dönüştüğünü göstermiştir. Bu da akma mukavemeti, çekme mukavemeti ve sertlik değerlerinde sırasıyla %56, %37 ve %47'lik bir artışa neden olurken, uzama ve Charpy darbe testi sonuçlarında sırasıyla %30 ve %15'lik bir düşüşe neden olmuştur. Ayrıca, kaynaklı birleştirmelerin tümünde -50 °C'lik test sıcaklığında bile istenen 47 J değerinden oldukça yüksek tokluk değerleri elde edilmiştir. Son olarak, AWS A5.20 standardının minimum gereksinimleri ve uygulamalardaki beklentiler dikkate alındığında optimum sonuçların 1,26 kJ/mm ısı girdisi ile elde edildiği sonucuna varılmıştır., Flux-cored wires are commonly used in structural and pipeline welding, shipbuilding, offshore constructions, and petrochemical and power generation industries. The higher heat inputs in the multipass welding result in shorter production time while considerably changing the properties of the welded joint. In this study, robotic flux cored arc welding with varying heat inputs (between 0.56-2.52 kJ/mm) was performed to determine the effect of heat input on weld microstructure, hardness, tensile properties, and impact toughness in the structural steel joints. Results exhibited that decrease in heat input from 2.52 to 0.56 kJ/mm changed the majority of the microstructure from polygonal ferrite to acicular ferrite. Furthermore, this increased by 56%, 37%, and 47% in yield strength, tensile strength, and hardness values, respectively, while decreasing by 30% and 15% in elongation and Charpy impact test results, respectively. Moreover, all welded joints displayed a satisfying toughness value higher than the requested value of 47 J, even at the test temperature of -50 °C. Finally, it can be concluded that the optimum results were obtained with a heat input of 1.26 kJ/mm, considering the minimum requirements of the AWS A5.20 standard and the expectations in applications.

Nanoakışkanlar metal işleme sektöründe, işleme performansına son derece olumlu katkılar sunmaktadır. Son yıllarda özellikle nanoakışkanlar üzerine çalışmalar yoğunlaşmakla birlikte raf ömrü ve homojenliği bir merak konusudur. Homojen bir nanoakışkan elde etme ve karışımın raf ömrünü artırma adına farklı yüzey aktif maddeler (surfaktanlar) karışıma eklenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, CuO nanopartikül katkılı bitkisel esaslı yağın içerisine farklı oranlarda cetiltrimetilamonyum bromid (CTAB), polivinilpolipirolidon (PVP) ve sodyum dodesil sülfat (SDS) eklenerek nanoakışkan karışımlar hazırlanmıştır. Aynı oranlarda eklenen surfaktanların işleme performansı üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi adına AISI 329 dubleks paslanmaz çelik malzemeye bir dizi frezeleme deneyi uygulanmıştır. Deneyler Taguchi L9 deney seti kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deneylerde girdi parametresi olarak üç farklı surfaktan (CTAB, PVP ve SDS), kesme hızı (120, 160 ve 200 m/dak), ilerleme (0.10-0.15 ve 0.20 mm/dev) seçilmiştir. Performans kriteri olarak yüzey pürüzlülüğü (Ra), kesme sıcaklığı (T) ve takım aşınması tercih edilmiştir. Faktörlere ait etki düzeylerinin belirlenmesinde varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Deneylerden elde edilen sonuçlara göre; PVP surfaktan katkılı CuO nanoakışkanın Ra, kesme sıcaklığı ve takım aşınmasında en iyi performansı gösterdiği anlaşılmıştır., Nanofluids offer extremely positive contributions to the machining performance in the metalworking industry. Although studies on nanofluids have been intensified in recent years, shelf-life and homogeneity are a matter of curiosity. Different surface agents (surfactants) can be added to the mixture in order to obtain a homogeneous nanofluid and increase the shelf-life of the mixture. In this study, nanofluid mixtures were prepared by adding cethyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVP) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) at different rates into CuO nanoparticle added vegetable based oil. A series of milling experiments were applied to AISI 329 duplex stainless steel material to determine the effects of surfactants added in the same proportions on the machining performance. Experiments were carried out using the Taguchi L9 experimental set. Three different surfactants (CTAB, PVP, and SDS), cutting speed (120, 160, and 200 m/min), feed (0.10, 0.15, and 0.20 mm/rev) were selected as input parameters in the experiments. Surface roughness (Ra), cutting temperature (T) and tool wear were preferred as machining performance criteria. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the effect levels of the factors. According to the results obtained from the experiments; it was determined that PVP surfactant-added CuO nanofluid showed best performance in surface quality, cutting temperature and tool wear according to other surfactants.

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of cutting parameters on the quality of holes drilled in a glass fiber reinforced thermoset polymer with the delamination factor defined as the ratio of intended hole diameter to the diameter of the maximum area which contains both hole and delaminated area. For this purpose, Taguchi`s L9 orthogonal array was used to design the experiments and optimize the drilling parameters. 5 mm twist drill bits were used to drill the holes at various feeds and spindle speeds. The maximum diameters on the inlet and outlet sides of the holes drilled into the composite plates were then measured with an optical microscope to analyze the influence of the drilling parameters on the machining damage. The smallest delaminated area on the front and back sides of the composite plate was achieved with the lowest feed (0.05 mm/rev) for the drilling parameters used in this study. Even though the spindle speed was increased from 318 rpm to 2930 rpm at a constant feed of 0.05 mm/rev, it reduces the maximum diameter on the front and back sides by 9 m and 266 m, respectively. The obtained results showed that the material removal rates in the drilling of the glass fiber reinforced thermoset polymers can be increased significantly by setting the optimized process parameters without adversely affecting the hole quality.

Modelling of micro milling process is still one of the most challenging research topics. This paper presents a new 3D SPH-FEM technique used to model micro end milling operation of titanium alloy. Titanium alloys are known as difficult to machine materials because of their thermo-mechanical properties. The low thermal conductivity of these alloys results in high thermal loads on cutting tool during machining process, which results in excessive tool wear that affects final part accuracy. Due to this reason accurate modelling of the process is essential. The finite element modelling techniques previously presented in the literature encountered several characteristic problems, such as the negative volume and/or mesh distortion. In this paper the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) technique, a mesh-free method, has been efficaciously utilized to overcome these complications. Presented model is validated through comparison of estimated and experimentally measured cutting forces.

Selective laser sintering (SLS) is a process of fabrication of three-dimensional structures by fus- ing powder particles using a guided laser source. The uncertainty in the mechanical properties of the SLS parts fabricated at the same time and with the same process parameters can affect the repeatability of the SLS process. A vast difference in the mechanical properties of the concurrently processed parts can lower the production quality of the batch. Therefore, the param- eters are required to be design based on the most probable outcome of the desired properties. Weibull distribution is one such statistical-based probability distribution method to measure the likelihood of the occurrence of a value of any random variable falling within a particular range of values. Here, the Weibull distribution was used to measure the relative likelihood (90% probability) of the surface roughness and the compressive strength values of the SLS-built polyamide PA2200 components in the given sample space that was obtained from 20 random samples. The results show that the variance in the surface roughness (scan and built plane) and the compressive strength values were in the range of 6–7 μm and around 10 MPa, respectively. Moreover, the surface roughness of the two orthogonal planes with 90% reliability was measured at 14.81 μm (scan plane) and 12.15 μm (built plane). Similarly, the yield strength and the compressive strength with 90% reliability were found 25.87 MPa and 62.64 MPa, respectively.

The article discusses the process of diamond honing of conical holes. The purpose of the article is to identify the dependence of power in the process of cutting and the effect of changing the contact areas of the components of the cutting forces. The experiments were carried out on a developed installation to determine the cutting ability of diamond honing stones. Depen- dences of linear removal of steel 50 and steel 45 on the applied pressure have been established. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that if the value of the Py index goes beyond the limits of pure contact, then this leads to the seizure of surfaces and a deterioration in the quality of processing.

The ability of businesses to gain a strong place in the sector in which they operate is directly related to the effective management of each member of the supply chain. In the globalizing world with increasing competitive conditions, businesses have to manage their supply chains efficiently to be successful in the market. Companies should improve their strategies by rapidly adapting to the new circumstances formed by various crises such as wars, climate change, or pandemics. The high performance of a business is greatly correlated with the performance of its suppliers. Therefore, supplier selection by evaluating supplier performance is a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) problem that simultaneously includes many qualitative and quantitative factors. In this article, the performances of the suppliers of a Turkish small-medium enterprise (SME) operating in the manufacturing sector during Covid-19 are evaluated using an integrated fuzzy MCDM technique. Despite its importance, supplier selection is less considered for SMEs. The purpose of including fuzzy logic in the study is to ensure that linguistic expressions are converted into fuzzy numbers to overcome uncertainty and subjectivity. Four supplier alternatives are evaluated by four main criteria, and in total by eleven sub-criteria determined by expert opinions. The weights of the performance criteria are obtained by the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), and the performance ranking of the suppliers is determined by the fuzzy VIKOR. The absence of a manufacturing sector-based study on SMEs operating in Turkey during the Covid-19 period constitutes the main motivation of this article.

Otomobillerde kullanılan ön salıncak kolu amortisör, komuta parmağı ve motor beşiğine bağlanarak, lastik ve jant birleşiğini yanal olarak sabitlemek için kullanılır. Otomotiv endüstrisinde, kaliteyi koruyarak araç maliyetini ve ağırlığını azaltmak temel hedefler arasında yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ön salıncak kolu üzerinde ağırlık azaltma analizleri yapılarak optimizasyon çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, topoloji optimizasyon metodunun kullanılmasıyla, seçilen bir ön salıncak kolunun geometrisinde değişiklikler yaparak, malzeme miktarının minimuma düşürülmesi, parça dayanımını koruyacak şekilde, ağırlığı ve maliyeti azaltılmış yeni bir ön salıncak kolu modelinin oluşturulmasıdır. Bu amaçla, katı modelleme ve sonlu elemanlar yöntemiyle analiz ve topoloji optimizasyon metotları kullanılarak, yer değiştirme, gerilme gibi kısıtlar uygulanarak en uygun tasarımın belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada seçilen örnek parça üzerinde yapılmış statik analizler sonrası, topoloji optimizasyonu gerçekleştirilmiş ve malzeme dağılımları incelenmiştir. Bu malzeme dağılımlarına göre parçanın boşaltılabilecek alanlar tespit edilmiş, bu verilere göre yeni tasarım çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Her yeni tasarım için statik analizler tekrarlanmış ve genetik algoritmalar ile şekil optimizasyonu yapılmıştır. Bulunan optimum tasarımının, seçilen örnek parça tasarımına göre %11,02 daha hafif olduğu tespit edilmiştir., The suspension arm is used to fix the tire and wheel joint laterally by connecting to the shock absorber, to the front knuckle, and to the subframe. In the automotive industry, reducing vehicle cost and weight while maintaining quality is among the main objectives. In this study, optimization studies were carried out by performing weight reduction analyses on the front wishbone. The aim of the study is to create a new front wishbone model with reduced weight and cost while minimizing the amount of material by making changes in the geometry of a selected front wishbone by using the topology optimization method. For this purpose, it is aimed to determine the most suitable design by applying constraints such as displacement and stress, using analysis and topology optimization methods and finite element method. After the static analyses, topology optimization was performed. According to these material distributions, the areas that can be emptied were determined, and new design studies were carried out according to these data. Static analyzes were repeated for each new design, and shape optimization was made with genetic algorithms. It has been determined that the optimum design found is 11.02% lighter than the selected part design.

Test geliştirme sürecinin birçok adımı vardır. Bu süreçte en önemli adım, testin geçerliliğini vegüvenilirliğini belirlemektir. Madde yanlılığını belirlemek ise, testin geçerliliği ve güvenilirliği için önemlibir kavramdır. Bir maddenin yanlı olması için, Değişen Madde Fonksiyonu içermesi gerekir. Bununlabirlikte, yalnızca DMF'nin varlığı, maddeyi yanlı yapmaz. Maddeye verilen cevaplardaki farklılık, altgruplardaki deneklerin yetenek düzeylerinde farklılık ortaya çıktığında olması gereken bir durumdur. Budurumu yanlılık olarak yorumlamak doğru değildir. Heterojen bir popülasyon üzerinde bir testyapılacaksa, yanlılık analizi ölçüm sürecinin en önemli bileşeni haline gelir. Buradaki en önemli hedefdenekler için adil, hassas ve duyarlı ölçümler yapmaktır. Bu çalışmada, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesiİstatistik ve Bilgisayar Bilimleri Bölümü'ndeki 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin olasılık teorisi okuryazarlıkdüzeyleri ölçülmüştür. 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerine 10 maddelik bir okuryazarlık testi uygulanmıştır.Öğrencilerin cevaplarına göre cinsiyet ve sınıf seviyesinde yanlılık analizi yapılmıştır. DMF analiziyaparken, Raju’nun Alan Ölçümü ve Lord’un ?2İstatistiği kullanılmıştır. Analizler R yazılımı kullanılarakyapılmıştır. DMF içeren maddeler için uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, bazıtest maddelerinin cinsiyet ve sınıf düzeylerine göre yanlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. The process of test development has many steps. The most important step in this process is todetermine the validity and reliability of the test. Detection of item bias is an important concept for thevalidity and reliability of test. In order for an item to be biased, it must contain differential item function(DIF). However, the presence of DIF alone does not make the item biased. When there are differencesin the skill levels of the subjects in the sub-groups, it is expected that there will be differences in theresponses to the item. Nevertheless, it is not correct to interpret this situation as bias. If a test is to beperformed on a heterogeneous population, bias analysis becomes the most important component ofthe measurement process. The primary objective here is to make fair, precise and sensitivemeasurement for subjects. In this study, probability theory literacy levels of 3rd and 4th grade studentsat the Department of Statistics and Computer Sciences of Karadeniz Technical University weremeasured. A 10-item literacy test was applied to all 3rd and 4th grade students. According to theanswers of the students, bias analysis was conducted on gender and class level. When performing DIFanalysis, Raju’s Area Measurement and Lord’s ?2Statistics were used with the help of R software. Expertopinion was consulted for items containing DIF. According to the results of the analysis, some test itemswere found to be biased by gender and grade levels.

Bu çalışmada, cam küre takviye fazlı polimer matrisli kompozit malzemenin delinmesi sonucu ortayaçıkan delaminasyon faktörünün etkileri deneysel olarak incelenmiştir. Takviye fazı olarak ağırlıkça %5,%10 ve %20 takviye oranında cam küre kullanılmıştır. Matris malzemesi olarak Polipropilen tercihedilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kesme hızı ve ilerleme arttıkça delaminasyon miktarındayükselmeler meydana gelmiştir. Elde edilen en düşük delaminasyon miktarı (1.18) 0.05 mm/devirilerleme ve 15m/dk kesme hızında karbür takım türü ile elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, kompozit içerisindekitakviye miktarı arttıkça delaminasyon faktörünün de yükseldiği saptanmıştır. En düşük delaminasyonmiktarı %5 cam küre takviye içeren kompozit malzemede olmuştur. In this study, the effect of delamination factor on glass-spherical reinforced polymer composite material was investigated. Glass sphere was used as reinforcement phase with a reinforcement rate of 5%, 10% and 20% by weight. Polypropylene is preferred as matrix material. According to the results, there was an increase in the amount of delamination as the cutting speed and feed rate increased. The lowest amount of delamination (1.18) was obtained in carbide tool type with 0.05 mm/rev feed and 15 m/min cutting speed. Also, it was found out that the amount of reinforcement in the composite increased as the amount of the delamination factor increased. The lowest amount of delamination was in composite material containing 5% glass sphere reinforcement.

Dünyada kültürel etkileşim, ekonomik büyüme ve teknolojik ilerlemeler hızla gelişmektedir. Bu gelişmeler insanoğlunun refah seviyesini yükseltmekle birlikte birçok problemi de beraberinde getirmektedir. Karşılaşılan problemlerden birisi de trafikte seyreden motorlu kara taşıtlarının neden olduğu hava kirliliğidir. Bu çalışmada taşıt egzoz gazlarından kaynaklanan hava kirliliğinden ve etkilerinden, canlıları ve çevreyi korumak amacıyla SEM cihazı ile egzoz gazlarının mikro yapı analizi yapılmıştır. Egzoz gazlarındaki temel kirletici maddeler; karbon monoksit, azot oksitler, hidrokarbonlar, karbon dioksit, kükürt dioksit, kurşun ve bileşikleri, aldehitler, is ve partiküllerden meydana gelmektedir. Bu kirletici gazları oluşturan C, O, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, Ca, Ba, Cr, Fe, Zn ve Pb ana elementlerinin ağırlık oranları bulunmuştur. Ayrıca taşıt emisyonları kaynaklı metal ve ağır metallerin hala çevreyi kirletmeye ve tehdit etmeye devam ettiği deneysel olarak tespit edilmiştir. Cultural interaction, economic growth and technological progress have been rapidly developed in the world. Although these developments increase the welfare level of human beings, they also lead to many problems. One of such problems is the air pollution induced by the motor vehicles in traffic. In this study, microstructure analysis of the exhaust gases through SEM instrument has been conducted to protect the living and the environment from the air pollution and its effects which is caused by vehicle exhaust gases. Basic pollutants in exhaust gases consist of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, lead and compounds, aldehydes, soot and particles. The weight ratios of the main elements C, O, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, Ca, Ba, Cr, Fe, Zn and Pb in theseair-pollutant exhaust gases were determined. Furthermore, it has been experimentally determined that metals and heavy metals from vehicle emissions continue to pollute and threaten the environment.

The study reports the influences of altering of Cd/S molar ratio on some physical properties of hydrothermal grown CdS nanospheres. Cd/S molar ratios were chosen as 1:0.5, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 in the stock solution. X-ray diffraction (XRD) data showed the occurrence of nano-amorphous CdS structure. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) conclusions illustrated that increasing Cd/S molar ratio up to 1:3 caused a growth in the sphere size whereas further rising of Cd/S molar ratio led to smaller sphere size. The presence of Cd and S atoms in CdS structure was approved by Energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis. Optimum transparency was found by Cd/S molar ratio of 1:3. Band gap scores of CdS nanospheres were determined to be above 2.60 eV that was bigger than bulk CdS (2.42 eV) because of quantum confinement effect. Photoluminescence (PL) results showed that a gradual decrease in each peak was attained upon increasing Cd/S molar ratio, which could be due to the formation non-radiative recombination phenomenon. Electrical data demonstrated that CdS nanosphere having Cd/S molar ratio of 1:1 exhibited the best carrier density (1.48´1015cm-3) and resistivity (1.27´103 Ω.cm) values. Thus, it can be deduced that Cd/S molar ratio of 1:3 was obtained to be optimum one since it possesses both bigger sphere size and better transparency, facilitating the effective use of CdS nanospheres in the solar cells.

Fastener preferences are also changing in parallel with the development of the automotive industry. During these periods, when light-weightings and carbon emissions have great importance; each part used is forced to be lighter, carbon footprints are calculated and more strength parts are designed. Therefore, the designs, sizes and even raw materials of the fasteners used in the connections of the parts must be re-considered. This reconsideration along with the manufacturers of fasteners supports scientific knowledge using advanced technologies, unique products, on behalf of the design of the production steps and the tool dies are of great importance. According to the complex geometry and strength quality of the bolt, product design and accordingly die designs are carried out. The machining steps used in the production of the dies are vital in terms of their lifetime. In the production of fasteners, the cold forging method is preferred because of its many advantages such as mass production flow, precise geometric tolerance and no need for external heat energy. One of the most required part of the cold forging dies are precision tolerance production. The production and design of cold forging dies play an active role in terms of quality and production performance since they directly affect the final product. In this article, the importance and effects of the manufacturing steps in cold forging dies used in bolt manufacturing will be discussed.

The cooling/lubrication methods applied in the turning operation significantly affect the machining performance. The control of the amount of cutting fluid used in the cooling/lubrication method is important both in terms of the total production cost and in terms of its effects on the environment. It is known that the Minimum Amount of Lubrication (MMY) technique applied for this purpose significantly reduces the amount of cutting fluid used while maintaining the machining performance. In recent years, nanoparticles have been added to these cutting fluids in order to increase the cooling/lubricating effect of the cutting fluids used in the MMY method. The extent to which the nanofluids obtained in this way improve the cutting performance is a subject that researchers focus on.In this study, studies on the effect of the use of nanoparticle reinforced cutting fluid (nanofluid) on the machining performance in the MMY cooling/lubrication method applied to the turning process were examined. In the study, studies on these materials, which are difficult to process, such as steel alloys, titanium alloys and nickel alloys as workpiece materials, were evaluated under separate headings. In these studies, machining performances were investigated under different cooling conditions, including dry machining, wet machining (conventional cooling), pure MMY and nanoparticle added MMY. In addition, it has been observed that more than one parameter, including different kinds of materials, different ratios by weight or volume, or different sizes, related to the addition of nanoparticles. In the results obtained from all these studies, it has been revealed that nanofluid application in the MMY method provides a significant improvement in machining performance compared to pure MMY and dry machining., Tornalama operasyonunda uygulanan soğutma/yağlama yöntemleri işleme performansını önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Soğutma/yağlama yönteminde kullanılan kesme sıvısı miktarının kontrolü ise, hem toplam üretim maliyeti açısından hem de çevreye olan etkileri açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu amaçla uygulanan Minimum Miktarda Yağlama (MMY) tekniği, kullanılan kesme sıvısı miktarını ciddi oranda azaltırken işleme performansını da koruduğu bilinmektedir. MMY yönteminde kullanılan kesme sıvılarının soğutma/yağlama etkisini artırmak amacıyla son yıllarda bu kesme sıvılarına nanoparçacık takviye edilmektedir. Bu şekilde elde edilen nanoakışkanların kesme performansını ne ölçüde iyileştirdiği araştırmacıların üzerinde yoğunlaştığı bir konudur.Bu çalışmada tornalama işlemine uygulanan MMY soğutma/yağlama yönteminde nanoparçacık takviyeli kesme sıvısı (nanoakışkan) kullanımının işleme performansına etkisi ile ilgili çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemede iş parçası malzemesi olarak çelik alaşımları, titanyum alaşımları ve nikel alaşımları olmak üzere, işlenmesinde zorluk yaşanan bu malzemelerle ilgili yapılan çalışmalar ayrı başlıklarda değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışmalarda kuru işleme, ıslak işleme (geleneksel soğutma), sade MMY ve nanoparçacık katkılı MMY olmak üzere farklı soğutma şartlarında işleme performansları incelendiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca, nanoparçacık ilavesi ile ilgili farklı çeşit malzemeler, ağırlıkça yada hacimce farklı oranlar veya farklı boyutlar olmak üzere birden çok parametrenin irdelendiği gözlenmiştir. Yapılan tüm bu çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlarda, MMY yönteminde nanoakışkan uygulamasının sade MMY ve kuru işlemeye göre işleme performansında belirgin bir iyileşme sağlandığı ortaya konmuştur.

MIG/MAG welding is an assembly process very commonly used in different industries. It has the advantage of being faster, especially on thicker materials, economical and suitable for welding steels. Stainless steels are very well suited for metal assembly applications with an attractive compromise between strength and density, reasonable manufacturing cost and good MIG/MAG weldability. In this paper, the present work is oriented the use of the MAG welding process for the mechanical characterization of a welded lap joint for an assembly of 304 L stainless steel sheets. The tensile shear tests show that the load / displacement curves (i.e. mechanical characteristics) are affected by the variation in currents of welding. The tensile strength increases with increasing in current of welding. The fracture strength is reduced from 200 A of the current of welding. Morphology of fracture shows that the fracture is made along the weld bead (in Fusion zone).

Alüminyum ve alaşımları hafiflik, yüksek mukavemet/ağırlık oranı ve kolay şekillendirilebilme özelliklerinden dolayı endüstride yaygın kullanım alanına sahiptir. İstenilen formlarda üretilebilmesi ve mekanik sistemlerde nihai ürün olarak kullanılabilmeleri için tornalama, delme, frezeleme ve diş açma gibi farklı işleme operasyonlarına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Ancak, bu malzemelerin işlenmesi esnasında işlenmiş yüzey kalitesini, boyutsal toleransı ve kesici takım performansını olumsuz etkileyen bazı sorunlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Kesici takım aşınması, bu sorunlardan en önemlileri arasında yer almaktadır. Kesici takım aşınması, işleme operasyonlarında takım değiştirme ve takım tezgâhı ayarlama gereksinimlerinden dolayı zaman kaybına da yol açmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, literatürde alüminyum esaslı alaşımların işlenmesinde takım aşınması üzerine yapılan güncel çalışmalar detaylı bir şekilde araştırılmış ve takım aşınması üzerinde etkili olan faktörler karşılaştırmalı olarak ortaya konulmuştur., Aluminum and its alloys are widely used in industry due to their lightness, high strength/weight ratio and easy formability. Different machining operations such as turning, drilling, milling and threading are needed in order to be manufactured in desired forms and used as a final product in mechanical systems. However, some problems arise that negatively affect the machined surface quality, dimensional tolerance and cutting tool performance during the machining of these materials. Cutting tool wear is among the most important of these problems. Cutting tool wear also causes loss of time due to tool changing and machine tool adjustment requirements in machining operations. In this study, current studies on tool wear in the machining of aluminum-based alloys were investigated in detail and the factors affecting tool wear were presented comparatively.

Titanium and its alloys are materials with high hardness and strength. Because of these properties, titanium and its alloys are usually machined with carbide or diamond tools. However, the occurrence of high temperatures during processing elongates the processing time and hence reduces efficiency. The use of coolants is a viable technique to reduce the temperature in the processing of such hard materials. Because of the negative environmental impacts of conventional cutting fluids, cryogenic processing has become an alternative approach. The effects of cryogen usage in the milling of Ti6Al4V alloy with carbide tool were evaluated in this work together with dry machining. Cryogen was applied in two different directions, in the front and back of the tool. The effects of the cooling technique on surface roughness and burr formation were evaluated at the end of the experiment. When the cryogen was applied from the back of the tool, the surface quality was the best. Burr formation was observed to occur more frequently during dry machining.

Ultrasonic assisted machining is a manufacturing method which creates intermittent cutting mechanism using ultrasonic vibration. Hot machining is another technique which uses external heat source before or during machining operations. These methods help to machine difficult to cut materials such as titanium, nickel, composite materials and improve surface machining characteristics (low cutting force, stress level, etc.). Hot ultrasonic-assisted machining is a novel machining technique that combines Ultrasonic Assisted machining (UAT) and hot machining operations. In the present study, Hot Ultrasonic Assisted Turning (HUAT) of Ti6Al4V alloy was studied numerically via DEFORM-2D software. Cutting speed, feed rate, vibrational parameters, and preheating temperatures were chosen as cutting parameters for the simulation study. Cutting forces, maximum effective stresses, and cutting temperatures were calculated with respect to these parameters. This process has also been investigated in terms of its effect on the environment and energy consumption. Cutting speed, feed rate and preheating temperatures affect machining characteristics while vibrational parameters do not affect significantly. Decrease in cutting speed and feed rate leads to lower power consumption. Also, power consumption changes with the increase in heating temperature and vibration frequency/amplitude.

In this paper, a remotely controllable, differentially driven wheeled mobile robot was developed in order to build 2D maps of unknown indoor environments; this system would eliminate the need to pre-explore such environments. Main aim of the study is to develop a system with high accuracy by using minimum number of sensors and a processor with low cost especially for comparatively small indoor areas. The distance traveled was calculated using the wheel odometry method. Obstacles surrounding the robot, the distance traveled, and the robot’s orientation were obtained using an ultrasonic distance sensor, optical encoder, and a 3D orientation sensor (also known as an Attitude and Heading Reference System –AHRS), respectively. In addition, the characteristics of the system hardware components were empirically explored, and the errors resulting from the sensors were evaluated. The non-linearity percentage error arising from the encoder was defined and then compensated for. The hysteresis behavior of the ultrasonic distance sensors was also empirically tested. All of the tasks were conducted by using a low-cost FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) board. This study used the graphical development platform, National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW, and it’s FPGA Module which is used for programming of embedded systems instead of the text-based HDLs (Hardware Description Languages). This distinguishes the proposed system from similar prior studies.

Traktör, kamyon ve otobüs gibi sürücü koltuklarının makas tipi süspansiyon mekanizmalarında, kurs boyundan dolayı sönümleyici olarak çoğunlukla klasik çift borulu amortisör kullanılmaktadır. Bu amortisörlerin sönüm değerleri, çalışacakları taşıtın durumu ile açılma ve kapanma durumlarına göre belirlenmektedir. Daha modern olan bazı süspansiyon mekanizması amortisörleri ise, bir mandal yardımıyla manuel olarak sönümleme kuvvetini ayarlayabilme özelliğine sahiptir. Sürücü istediği şekilde bu mekanik ayar sayesinde koltuk sertliğini ayarlayabilmektedir. Buna rağmen mekanizmanın performansı anlık olarak (dinamik şekilde) kontrol olmadığından kısıtlıdır. Günümüzde klasik mekanik ayarlı amortisörlere alternatif, elektronik kontrole uygun Manyeto-Reolojik (MR) sıvılı amortisörlerdir. Bu çalışmada, çift borulu mekanik ayarlı amortisör yerine kullanılabilecek, çift borulu MR amortisörün manyetik alan ve akış analizleri incelenmiş, tasarım, imalat ve montajları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan testler neticesinde karşılaşılan sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. In scissors-type suspension mechanisms of the driver's seats of vehicles such as tractors, trucks and buses, conventional double-tube shock absorbers are often used as dampers due to the length of the course. The damping values of these shock absorbers are determined according to the condition of the vehicle and the opening and closing conditions. Some of the modern damping mechanism have the ability to manually adjust the damping force with the help of a latch. The driver can adjust the seat stiffness with this mechanical adjustment as desired. Nevertheless, the performance of the mechanism is limited because it is not instantly (dynamically) controlled. Today, alternatives to conventional mechanical adjustable shock absorbers are shock absorbers with magnetorheological (MR) fluid suitable for electronic control. In this study, double-tube MR damper, which can be used instead of double-tube mechanically regulated shock absorber, has been investigated by numerical magnetic and flow analyses and has been designed, manufactured and tested. The results of the tests were evaluated.

Bu çalışmada Newton’un soğuma kanununu tasvir eden diferansiyel denklem Caputo kesirsel türevi kullanılarak yeniden tanımlanmış ve çözülmüştür. Bu yeni çözüm literatürdeki benzer kesirsel çözümlerden farklı olarak herhangi bir zaman parametresi içermemektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar deneysel ve standart sonuçlarla karşılaştırılmıştır. Deneysel sonuçlara en uygun olan kesirsel türev mertebesi elde edilmiştir., In this work, the differential equation describing Newton's law of cooling has been redefined and solved using Caputo fractional derivative. Unlike similar fractional solutions in the literature, this new solution does not contain any time parameter. the obtained results have been compared with the experimental and the standard ones. Order of fractional derivative which is most suitable for the experimental results has been obtained.

Bu çalışmadaPİP’in sitotoksik ve genotoksik etkileri Allium cepa kök meristematik hücrelerinde kök büyümesi, mitotikindeks (Mİ), kromozomal anormallik (KA)’ler ve DNA hasarı üzerindeki etkileri Allium ana-telofaz veKomet testleri kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Allium kök büyüme engelleme testi ile PİP’in kök uçlarınınbüyümesini negatif kontrol grubuna göre %50 oranında düşüren konsantrasyon (EC50) değeri, 50 ppmolarak bulunmuştur. A. cepa kökleri PİP’in üç farklı konsantrasyonu (25, 50 ve 100 ppm), distile su(negatif kontrol) ve metil metan sülfonata (MMS, 10 ppm, pozitif kontrol) 24, 48, 72 ve 96 saat maruzbırakılmıştır. PİP; kök büyümesini ve Mİ’yi istatistiksel olarak azaltarak sitotoksik etki, KA’ları (bozulmuşana-telofaz, kalgın kromozom, yapışıklık, köprü ve poliploidi) ve DNA hasarını istatistitiksel olarakartırarak genotoksik etki göstermiştir. PİP kullanımına dikkat edilmeli ve sito-genotoksik etkileri diğertoksisite test sistemleri ile araştırılmalıdır. Primite 20 WP containing 20% pyridaben (PCP) is used as an acaricide and insecticide. In this study,cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of PCP were investigated on the root meristem cells of Allium cepa forits effects on root growth, mitotic index (MI), mitotic phases, chromosomal abnormalities (CAs) andDNA damage by using Allium ana-telophase and Comet assays. The amount of PCP concentration thatreduces the growth of root tips by 50% compared to the negative control group (EC50)value wasdetermined as 50 ppm by Allium root growth inhibition test. A. cepa roots were treated with threeconcentrations of PCP (25, 50 and 100 ppm), distilled water (negative control) and methyl methanesulphonate (MMS, 10 ppm, positive control) for 24, 48, 72 and 96 h. PCPshowed a cytotoxic effect byreducing root growth and MI, but also showed genotoxic effect by increasing CAs (disturbed anatelophase,chromosome laggards, stickiness, bridges and polyploidy) and DNA damage at significantlevels. PCPshould be used carefully and investigated its cyto-genotoxic effects with other toxicology testsystems.

Ağır iyon terapisi, birçok tümörün (kafa, boyun, akciğer tümörü vb.) tedavisi için geleneksel foton terapisine kıyasla yarar sağlamaktadır. Günümüzde, protonlar ve karbon iyonlarının yanı sıra tedavi için yeni iyon demetlerinden istifade edilmeye yönelik artan bir ilgi bulunmaktadır. Monte Carlo simülasyonu, ağır iyon tedavisinin doğru özelliklerini elde etmek için önemli bir yaklaşımdır. Radyoterapi çalışmalarında doz dağılımlarını belirlemek için Monte Carlo simülasyonları yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu simülasyonlar, özellikle enerji depolanmalarının uzaysal modelinin yanı sıra bağıl biyolojik etkinliği anlamak için de önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, insan beyin tümörü farklı karbon demet enerjileriyle ışınlanmıştır (210 MeV/u, 230 MeV/u, 250 MeV/u, 270 MeV/u, 290 MeV/u karbon demeti). Snyder’ın kafa modeline gönderilen karbon iyonu demeti, MCNPX2.7.0 koduyla simüle edilmiştir. Farklı enerjili karbon iyonları için hedef bölgedeki enerji depolanmaları Monte Carlo metoduyla hesaplandı. Hesaplamalarda, hedef beyin bölgesindeki enerji birikimlerini hesaplamak için grafiksel örgü hesabı kullanılmıştır. Heavy ion therapy provides benefits for many tumor (head, neck, lung tumor, e.g.) treatments compared to conventional photon therapy. Nowadays there is a rising interest towards exploiting new ion beams for therapy besides protons and carbon ions. Monte Carlo simulation was an important approach to obtain accurate characteristics of heavy ion therapy. Monte Carlo simulations are widely used to determine dose distributions in radiotherapy studies. These simulations also play an important role in recognizing the spatial pattern of energy depositions as well as the relative biological activity. In this work, the human brain tumor was irradiated with a different energetic carbon beams (for 210 MeV/u, 230 MeV/u, 250 MeV/u, 270 MeV/u, 290 MeV/u carbon beam). The incident beam of carbon ion on the Snyder’s head model was simulated with MCNPX2.7.0 code. Energy depositions in the target region were calculated by the Monte Carlo method for different energetic carbon ions. In calculations, mesh tally was used to calculate energy depositions in the target brain area.

Buçalışmada, 0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1 ve %0.15 ağırlık oranlarında grafen ve ultrayüksek molekül ağırlıklı polietilen etanol içerisinde dağıtılarak grafentakviyeli ultra yüksek molekül ağırlıklı polietilen nano-kompozit malzemelerüretilmiştir. Ultra yüksek molekül ağırlıklı polietilen ve grafen takviyelikompozit malzemelerin termal performansları termogravimetrik analizler iletespit edilmiştir. Ultra yüksek molekül ağırlıklı polietilen ve kompozitmalzemelerin kimyasal yapısı Fourier Dönüşümlü Kızılötesi Spektroskopi ileincelenmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak; grafen katkısının polimerin çekmeözellikleri, yüzey pürüzlülüğü, yoğunluk ve sertlik üzerine etkileriincelenmiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre, grafen eklendikçe kompozit malzemelerinmaksimum bozunma sıcaklıkları fazla etkilenmemek ile birlikte elastisite modülüve sertlik artmakta, yüzey pürüzlülüğü düşmektedir. Çekme dayanımı iseağırlıkça %0.1 grafen katkı oranına kadar artmakta bu orandan sonradüşmektedir., In this study, graphite filled ultra high molecular weight polyethylene nano-composite materials were produced by dispersing 0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.15wt % graphite (Gr) and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) in ethanol. The thermal performances of UHMWPE and Gr filled composite materials were determined by thermogravimetric analysis. The chemical structure of UHMWPE and composite materials was investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Additionally; the effects of Gr on the tensile properties, surface roughness, density and hardness of polymer were investigated. According to these results, as the graphite is added, the maximum degradation temperatures of the composite materials are not affected much, and the modulus of elasticity and hardness increase and the surface roughness decreases. The tensile strength increased with the addition of Gr up to 0.1wt %, but decreased with the further increase of Gr weight fraction.

This paper contains the molecular parameters, vibrational properties and some theoretical calculations of 1,8-diaminooctane. Bond angles, bond lengths, vibrational properties, dipole moments, frontier molecular orbitals and molecular electrostatic potential of 1,8-diaminooctane were performed with using density functional theory calculations with B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level of theory. Vibrational properties were interpreted with the by using scaled quantum mechanical force field. This study enables us to figure out the vibrational and structural properties and some electronic properties of the 1,8-diaminooctane by means of the theoretical and experimental studied methods.

Eleven vanillin derivatives was synthesized, characterized successfully and their antibacterial and anticandidal properties were investigated on seven bacterial species and four candida species. These bacterial species are Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Listeria monocytogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Bacillus subtilis and candidal species are Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, Candida krusei and Candida parapsilosis. Most of the synthesized compounds were showed good activity against studied microorganisms compared with Chloramphenicol. Compounds 2c, 2d and 2k were exhibited remarkable antibacterial activities especially on Escherichia coli. In addition, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis were found to be the most susceptible species amongst the investigated microorganisms

Power Quality problems, which have become an important consumer issue in recent years, are defined as changes in voltage, current, or frequency in the power system. Among the factors affecting energy quality in grid-connected PV systems are island mode operation, current and voltage harmonics, transients, flicker, interruption, DC offset, notches, frequency changes, voltage sag / swell, voltage imbalances in the system and power factor. Because of the power quality problems, several transmission and distribution losses can occur due to both the consumers and the generators. Also, the integration of PV power plants to the main grid will cause several power quality problems, and a reliable operation of the grid with PV power plants is a significant issue for distributed generation. Thus, the first step in preparing a reliable algorithm for detecting power quality events occurring in the current grid is to model a power system in which power quality impairments can be analyzed. In this work, the power quality disturbances that occur in the low-voltage grid that is fed through both the main grid and the grid-connected PV system are modeled and investigated. Developed electric power distribution model includes simulation of voltage sags caused by three phase fault, transformer energization and asynchronous motor switching, voltage swells caused by three phase fault, transients due to large capacitor bank switching, harmonics and notches caused by the load connected via the power converter. Examination of the power quality disturbances with simulation clearly revealed the resulting waveforms, the response of the electrical power system to the fault conditions. Another advantage of the realized study is that the developed model can be used to measure the performance of the PV connected distributed generation system in fault detection and classification studies.

It is generally preferred to use of plant species that have a natural spread in a region as a beverage. It is known that, different plants are used in making herbal coffee in our country. Especially in times of war and for economical reasons, it was not possible for our people to reach a cup of coffee made from coffee beans, and in such cases it was tried to benefit from different plants. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L., known as “nohut” in Turkish), which is a member of the Fabaceae family, is one of the most important legumes as a source of vegetable protein and one of those herbal coffees. In this study we compiled the information we obtained about chickpea coffee such as how to make it, how to serve it and its features etc. in Işıkeli village of Biga (Çanakkale). We believe that, this study will contribute to the survival of the chickpea coffee tradition as the traditional usage of chickpea is about to disappear nowadays., Genellikle yerel bir içecek olarak bir bölgede doğal yetişen bitki türlerinin kullanılması tercih edilir. Ülkemizdebitkisel kahve yapımında farklı bitkilerin kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Özellikle savaş zamanlarında ve ekonomiknedenlerle, halkımızın kahve çekirdeklerinden yapılmış bir fincan kahveye ulaşması mümkün olmamış ve bu gibidurumlarda farklı bitkilerden faydalanmaya çalışılmıştır. Fabaceae familyasının bir üyesi olan Nohut (Cicerarietinum L.), bitkisel protein kaynağı olarak en önemli baklagillerden biridir ve bitkisel kahve yapımındakullanılır. Bu çalışmada, Biga’nın (Çanakkale) Işıkeli köyünde nohut kahvesi hakkında elde edilen bilgiler ile nasılyapıldığı ve nasıl servis edildiği hakkındaki bilgiler derlenmiştir. Bu çalışma ile günümüzde geleneksel kullanımıyok olmak üzere olan nohut kahvesi geleneğinin hayatta kalmasına katkıda bulunulacağı düşünülmüştür.

Salıncak burçlarına, çaplama işlemi ve ardından kumlama işlemi uygulanmıştır. Yüzey pürüzlülük ve sıkılıkdeğerleri ölçülen burçlar çıkma işlemine tabi tutularak çıkma mukavemetleri belirlenmiştir. Benzetim için SolidWorks programı kullanılarak modellenmiş ve programın simülasyon kısmında çözdürülmüştür. Çelik salıncak ilealüminyum burç arasında ki sürtünme katsayısı 0,61 iken 8681,7 Newton, 0,3 iken 4102, 2 olarak bulunmuştur.Analizde ideal 179 mikron sıkılığında iken çıkan von mises gerilmesi 317,8 ve 370,4 mPa malzemelerin akmagerilmeleri ortalamalarında çıkarak burcun yerinden çıkma kuvvetleri hakkında muhakeme yapmamızı sağlıklıhale getirmiştir. Analizlere bakıldığında sıkılık değerleri kadar sürtünme katsayısının da etkili olduğu ortayaçıkmıştır. Surface roughness and firmness values were determined by bending the measured bushings. It was modeledusing the Solid Works program for simulation and solved in the simulation part of the program. The coefficientof friction between the steel bushing and the aluminum bushing was 0.61, while the 8681.7 Newtons were 0.3and 4102, 2, respectively. In the analysis, von mises stress, which was obtained at an ideal 179 micron, made ithealthy for us to make reasoning about the displacement force of the bushing by averaging the yield stresses of317,8 and 370,4 mPa materials. When the analyzes were examined, it was found that the coefficient of frictionwas as effective as the tightness values.

Geleneksel yöntemlerle yapılan tasarım ve çizim teknikleri, bilgisayar teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle hızlı bir şekildedijitalleşmektedir. Bu süreçte özellikle mimari uygulama projeleri, detay çizimleri, üç boyutlu modeller vefotogerçekçi görüntüler (render) bilgisayar destekli tasarım programlarında gerçekleştirilmektedir. “YapıRessamlığı” mimari çizim odaklı eğitim verilen bir ön lisans programı olması sebebiyle bu teknolojikgelişmelerden direkt etkilenmektedir. Bu çalışmada “Yapı Ressamlığı” ön lisans programında Bilgisayara DestekliTasarım (BDT) derslerinin süreçsel gelişiminden bahsedilerek, yapılan anket çalışmasıyla öğrencilerin BDTdersleri kapsamında öğrendikleri programlarla ilgili izlenimleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Anket sonuçlarına göre derskapsamında öğretilen programların, öğrenci tarafından daha çok benimsenip kullanıldığı görülürken özelliklemezuniyet sonrası kullanacaklarını düşündükleri Autocad, Sketch Up ve Photoshop yazılımlarına daha çok ilgigösterdikleri sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Design and drawing techniques made with traditional methods are rapidly digitalized by the development ofcomputer technology. Within this period, especially architectural application projects, detail drawings, three-dimensional models and photorealistic images (render) are carried out in computer-aided design programs. Since,“Architectural Drafting” is an associate degree program that has a education style focuses on architectural drawing,it is directly influenced by these technological developments. In this study, the process development of theComputer Assisted Design (CAD) courses in the “Architectural Drafting” associate degree program is discussedand the students' impressions about the programs they learned within the CAD courses were revealed by thequestionnaires. According to the results of the questionnaires, it is seen that the programs taught in the course havebeen adopted and used more by the students and they show more interest to the softwares like Autocad, Sketch Upand Photoshop that can be used after graduation.

Bir yayın haberleşme yönteminde bir kaynaktan çoklu kullanıcılara mesaj iletimi için genellikle içerisindeşifreleme yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı şemalardan yararlanılır. Bu şema yapıları anahtar sunucu işlemleri açısındanmerkezi ve de-merkezi olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Bu çalışmada günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılan iki merkeziyöntem olan Mantıksal Anahtar Hiyerarşisi (MAH) ve Tek Yönlü Fonksiyon Ağacı (TFA) şemalarınadeğinilmiştir. Yayın haberleşme için bir şema önerilmiş ve kullanıcı ekleme/çıkarma işlemlerinde anahtar iletimsayıları-boyutları ve kullanıcılarda bulunan anahtar sayıları-boyutları açılarından mevcut şemalar ilekarşılaştırılmıştır. In a broadcast communication method,the schemes in which encryption methods are used are often used totransmit messages from a source to multiple users. These schemes are divided into central and de-central interms of key server operations. In this work, two central methods which are widely used nowadays arementioned: Logical Key Hierarchy (LKH) and One Way Function Tree (OFT) schemes. A scheme for broadcastcommunication is proposed and compared with the existing schemes in terms of numbers-sizes of keytransmissions in user joining/removing and numbers-sizes of keys in the user.

Waspaloy gibi işlenebilirliği zor malzemelerin işleme verimliliğini artırmak için, kesme sıvısı kullanımı büyükönem taşımaktadır. Ancak, aşırı kesme sıvısı kullanımı çevre, çalışan sağlığı ve üretim maliyeti gibi konulardaimalatçıları endişelendirmektedir. Bu endişeleri minimuma indirmek için kullanılan alternatif yöntemlerdenbirisi de Minimum Miktarda Yağlama (MMY) sistemidir. Bununla beraber, kesme sıvısı miktarının azaltılmasıiçin çalışmalar artarak devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, MMY sisteminde kullanılan kesme sıvısının içerisinenanopartikül katkı maddesi eklenerek kullanılan kesme sıvısı miktarını daha da azaltmak amaçlanmıştır. Buamaç doğrultusunda, Waspaloy süper alaşımı; kuru, MMY ve NanoMMY (hacimce %1 Al 2 O 3 ) şartları altındaişlenmiş ve soğutma/yağlama yöntemleri arasındaki farklar ortaya konulmuştur. Frezeleme deneyleri esnasındaçıktı olarak takım aşınması seçilmiştir. Kesme parametresi olarak ise üç farklı kesme hızı (20, 40, 60 m/dak) veüç farklı ilerleme hızı (0,05-0,10 ve 0,15 mm/dev) seçilmiştir. Deney sonuçlarının analizine göre, optimumaşınma değeri 20 m/dak kesme hızı, 0,05 mm/dev ilerleme ve NanoMMY şartları altında gerçekleşmiştir. The use of cutting fluids is of great importance in order to increase the machinability efficiency of difficult-to-cut materials such as Waspaloy. However, the use of extreme cutting fluid is concerned by manufacturers in suchissues as the environment, human health and production cost. One of the alternative methods to minimize theseconcern is the Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system. Moreover, researches are continued to reduce theamount of cutting fluids. In this study, it was intended to further reduce the amount of cutting fluid sonanoparticle was added to the contents of the cutting fluid in the MQL system. For this purpose, Waspaloymilling experiment were carried out under dry, MQL and NanoMQL (1 vol% Al 2 O 3 ) conditions and the differences between cooling/lubrication methods have been revealed. Tool wear was selected as outputparameter during milling experiments. Three different cutting speeds (20, 40, 60 m/min) and three different feedrates (0.05, 0.10 and 0.15 mm/rev) were selected as cutting parameters. According to the analysis of theexperiment results, the optimum wear value was 20 m/min cutting speed, 0.05 mm/rev feed rate and NanoMMYcutting conditions.

NiTi (Nitinol) alaşımları şekil hatırlatma özellikleri, süperelastiklikleri, iyi korozyon dirençleri, yüksek darbe sönümleme kapasiteleri, hafiflikleri, canlı dokuların büyümesini sağlayan eşit dağılmış gözenekli yapıları ve özellikle biyouyumlulukları nedeniyle biyomedikal alanda tercih edilen önemli biyomalzemelerdir. Nitinolün kardiyovasküler cihazlar da kullanımı son yirmi yıl içinde büyük ölçü de artmıştır. NiTi biyomalzemelerden Ni iyonu salınımı vucutta alerjik reaksiyonlara sebep olduğu için tehlikelidir. Bu nedenle uygun yüzey işlemleri ve yüzeyde pasif bir tabakanın oluşturulması klinik uygulamalar açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada NiTi alaşım levhaları farklı konsantrasyonlarda ki VO2 (V+4 iyonları içeren) ve V2 O5 (V+5 iyonları içeren) çözeltiler de yüzey kaplamaları yapılmış. SEM-Edx Kimyasal analizi sonuçları incelenmiştir., NiTi (Nitinol) alloys are important biomaterials favored by the biomedical field because of their feature reminders, superelasticity, good corrosion resistance, high impact damping capacities, lightness, evenly dispersed porous structures that grow living tissues and especially their biocompatibility. The use of nitinol in cardiovascular devices has also increased dramatically over the past two decades. The release of Ni ions from NiTi biomaterials is dangerous because it causes allergic reactions in the body. For this reason, proper surface treatments and formation of a passive layer on the surface are important for clinical applications. In this study, NiTi alloy plates were surface coated with VO2 (containing V + 4 ions) and V2 O5 (containing V + 5 ions) solutions at different concentrations. SEM-Edx Chemical analysis results were examined.

Alüminyum alaşımları günümüzde, yüksek dayanım ve ağırlık oranı, iyi korozyon ve yorulma direnci nedeniyle,otomotiv ve havacılık sanayinde, plastik enjeksiyon kalıplarında yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Buçalışmada, 80x80x30 mm ebatlarında 5754-H111 temperlenmiş alüminyumun alaşımına, kaplamalı ve kaplamasızkesici uçlarla yüzey frezeleme işlemi uygulanmış ve yüzey frezeleme işlemi esnasında kesme parametrelerininyüzey pürüzlülüğü üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deneylerde Taguchi L 27 ortogonal dizini ile üç faklı kesici uç(Kaplamasız, Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN kaplamalı, TiAlN Nano kaplamalı), kesme hızı (250, 350, 550 m/dak), ilerlemeoranı (0.1, 0.2, 0.35 mm/diş) ve üç faklı kesme derinliği (1, 1.5, 2 mm) kullanılmıştır. Deneyler sonunda eldeedilen değerler, sinyal-gürültü oranı (S/N), varyans analizi (ANOVA), üç boyutlu grafikler ve regresyon metodukullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Deneylerden sonra en düşük yüzey pürüzlülüğü; kaplamasız kesici uç, 1 mmkesme derinliği, 350 m/dak kesme hızı ve 0.35 mm/diş ilerleme oranında elde edilmiştir. Bu kesme şartları içinyüzey pürüzlülük değerleri hesaplamalarda 0.26 ?m olarak bulunmuş, doğrulama deneylerinde 0.29 ?m olarakölçülmüştür. Aluminum alloys have been widely used in plastic injection molds in the automotive and aerospace industries dueto their high strength and weight ratio, and good corrosion and fatigue resistance. In this study, 5754-H111tempered aluminum alloy piece with 80x80x30 mm dimensions was machined with face milling operation usingcoated and uncoated inserts. The effects of cutting parameters on surface roughness during face milling wereinvestigated. In the experiments, different inserts (uncoated, Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN coated, TiAlN Nano coated), cuttingspeeds (250, 350, 550 m/min), feed rates (0.1, 0.2, 0.35 mm/tooth) and cutting depths (1, 1.5, 2 mm) — eachhaving three conditions — were used with the Taguchi L 27 orthogonal array. The values obtained at the end of the experiments were evaluated using signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), variance analysis (ANOVA), three-dimensionalgraphs, and regression analyses. The minimum surface roughness was obtained using the uncoated insert at 1 mmcutting depth, 350 m/min cutting speed and 0.35 mm/tooth feed rate. The surface roughness values for these cuttingconditions were found as 0.26 ?m in the calculations and measured as 0.29 ?m in the verification experiments.

Teknolojinin hızla gelişmesiyle birlikte cihazların uzaktan kontrol ihtiyacı hızla artmıştır. Cihazların bir ağüzerinden uzaktan etkileşebilir hale getirilmesi nesnelerin interneti sayesinde mümkündür. Bu çalışmadaüzerinde ESP8266 wifi modül barındıran Nodemcu V3 geliştirme kartı tercih edilerek cihazların uzaktankontrolü sağlanmıştır. Burada NodemCU V3, android yazılım tabanlı uzaktan yönetim uygulaması ve bir prizdenoluşan akıllı bir sistemin entegrasyonu sağlanmıştır. ESP8266 modülü ile yönetilmek istenen cihazlar kontroledilebilmektedir. Kullanılan sensörler ESP8266 aracılığıyla anlık olarak veri iletmektedir. İnsanların çoğugünlük yaşamlarını evleri dışında geçirdiği için ev ortamında karşılaşabileceği gaz kaçağı, cihazların prizdeunutulması, ışıkların açık bırakılması vb. olumsuz durumlarda ister internet tarayıcısı üzerinden isterse mobiluygulama üzerinden prizlerin uzaktan kontrolünü sağlayabileceklerdir. Bu şekilde daha güvenli ve ekonomik biryaşam imkânı sağlanmış olacaktır., With the rapid development of technology, the need for remote control of devices has increased rapidly.Remotely interacting devices over a network is possible through the Internet of Things. In this work, remotecontrol of the devices is provided by using the NodemCU V3 development card. The integration of NodemCUV3, Android software based remote management application and an intelligent system consisting of a socket isprovided. With the ESP8266 module, devices that need to be managed can be controlled. The sensors used,transmits data instantaneously through ESP8266. Since most people spend their daily lives outside their homes,they will be able to remotely control the power outlets through both the Internet browser and the mobileapplication, in cases of gas leakages, plugged in devices, open lights, etc. In this way, a safer and moreeconomical life will be provided.

Sanayi faaliyetleri, birçok ağır metalin su ortamına karışmasına neden olmaktadır. Ağır metaller bitkiler üzerinde ciddi toksik etkiler gösterirler. Bu çalışmada, kadmiyum Cd , krom Cr ve kurşun Pb metallerinin Ceratophyllum demersum L. ve Pogostemon erectus Dalzell Kuntze üzerine morfolojik etkileri ve medyan etkili konsantrasyon EC50 değerleri araştırılmıştır. 5 gün sonunda elde edilen veriler istatistiksel olarak Probit Analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. C. demersum’da EC50 değerleri Cd için 1.403 mg/L 1.018-1.864 , Cr için 8.473 mg/L 6.198 - 11.667 ve Pb için 78.349 mg/L 49.622-112.981 olarak tespit edilmiştir. P. erectus’da EC50 değerleri Cd için 0.879 mg/L 0.590 - 1.252 , Cr için 1.120 mg/L 0.729 - 1.646 ve Pb için 1.727 mg/L 1.144 - 2.653 olarak bulunmuştur. EC50 değerleri bakımından C. demersum ve P. erectus için en toksik ağır metaller Cd > Cr > Pb olarak kaydedilmiştir. Ağır metallerin yüksek seviyelerde uygulanması bitki üzerindeki toksik etkiyi artırmıştır. Genel olarak, metal toksisitesi altındaki bitkilerde kloroz, yaprak dökülmesi, yumuşama ve ölümler gözlenmiştir. In the present investigation, a streamfunction-vorticity form for Boussinesq-Stokes liquids (with suspended particles) is suitably used to examine the problem of 2-D unsteady incompressible flow in a square cavity with moving top and bottom wall. A new algorithm is used for this form in order to compute the numerical solutions for high Reynolds numbers up to Re=2500. This algorithm is conducted as a combination of the multi-time-stepping temporal differential transform and the spatial finite difference methods. Convergence of the time-series solution is ensured by multi-time-stepping method. The classical benchmark results of the Newtonian liquid are recovered as a limiting case and the decelerating influence of the suspended particle on the Newtonian liquids’ flow field is clearly elaborated. Bu çalışmada Boussinesq-Stokes tipi akışkanların kapalı bölgede zamana bağlı akışı incelenmiştir. Problem, zaman değişkenine çok adımlı diferansiyel dönüşüm metodu konum değişkenlerine sonlu fark metodu uygulanarak çözülmüştür. Elde edilen zamana bağlı seri çözümünün yakınsaklığı çok adımlı metot uygulanarak sağlanmıştır. Sonuçlar, Newtonian akışkanlar için grafiklerle literatür ile karşılaştırılarak metodun etkinliği gösterilmiş, şüpheli parçacıkların Newtonian akışkanlar üzerine olan yavaşlatıcı etkisi ise grafiklerle incelenmiştir.

Event-driven moleculardynamics (EDMD) is a special application of Molecular Dynamics (MD) derivedfrom kinetic theory of gases. Whileclassical solution of Navier-Stokes equations fails at high Knudsen (Kn) numberflows, EDMD is valid on entire regime. Interaction potentials are considereddiscrete and exist only at the moment of impact. Hence, molecule trajectoriesare linear. Unlike the classical MD, this helps to simulate bigger systems.Molecular interactions, interaction times and partners can be predicteddeterministically. Diatomic and polyatomic molecules are handled by animplemented energy relaxation scheme. Calculation of possible event times anddetermination of the earliest are the most time-consuming steps of thesimulation. In order to improve computational speed, a cell partitioningmethodology and a priority queue structure are implemented in this study. Theeffect of the implementations on the performance is investigated and optimumsimulation parameters are determined; when using PQ, number of cells must begreater than the number of molecules for maximum computational speed.Robustness assessments for the implementations are conducted with a real-worldproblem. Extreme density difference in confined geometries has vast usage inengineering and is also a good example of stress test because of its complexnature. This paper addresses the calculation of sound speed in a shock tubefilled with a diatomic gas by using EDMD simulations. Uyarlamalarınperformans üzerine etkileri incelenmiş ve optimum süreç parametreleribelirlenmiştir; öncelik kuyruğunun kullanılması durumunda maksimum hesaplamaperformansı için hücre sayısının molekül sayısından fazla olması gerekmektedir.Uyarlamaların sağlamlık değerlendirmesi gerçek bir problem ile yapılmıştır.Kapalı geometrilerdeki aşırı yoğunluk farkı mühendislikte geniş bir kullanımalanı bulmakla birlikte karmaşık doğasından dolayı stres testi için uygun birörnektir. Bu çalışma OGMD simülasyonları kullanarak diatomik bir gaz iledoldurulmuş şok tüpünde ses hızının hesaplanmasını ele almaktadır. Sonuçlarınteorik değerlerle mükemmel olarak uyum göstermiş olması sağlamlığı doğrulamaktadır.

Warp knitting technology combines the twoproperties of dimensional stability and elasticity which are provided from wovenand knitted fabrics separately. These fabrics consist of several threads (warp)which are formed as loops via needles and run through the fabric mainly in avertical direction. These fabrics may be produced on a flat or a circular warpknitting machines. This study aims to investigate the influence of washingcycles (1, 5 and 20) on stretching (%) and air permeability properties of thepolyester warp knitted fabrics of different weight. In order to analyze the effect of washing process on stretchingratios (%) and air permeability of the samples; Fyrma fabric extensometer and SDL Atlas M021A modelAir Permeability Tester devices were used respectively. Additionally, thechanges in fabric weight according to washing cycles of 1, 5 and 20 were alsoevaluated. According to test results; the stretching properties and air permeabilityvalues of the polyester warp knitted fabrics produced in different weightsvaried according to the laundering cycle which emphasized that caring processesshould also be considered during the evaluation of mechanical properties (suchas stretching, air permeability properties) of polyester warp knitted fabrics., Dokumave örme kumaşlardan ayrı ayrı sağlanan boyutsal stabilite ve elastikiyetözellikleri çözgülü örme teknolojisinde bir araya getirilmektedir. Bu kumaşlardikey doğrultuda kumaş boyunca uzanan, iğneler vasıtasıyla ilmekleroluşturabilen çözgü ipliklerinden oluşmaktadır. Çözgülü örme kumaşlar düz ya dadairesel çözgülü örme makinelerinde üretilebilmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamındayıkama işleminin (1, 5 ve 20 tekrar sayısında) farklı ağırlıklarda üretilenpoliester çözgülü örme kumaşların uzama ve hava geçirgenlik özelliklerine etkisiniincelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bunun için sırasıyla, Fyrma kumaşekstensiyometresi ve SDL Atlas M021A model hava geçirgenliği ölçüm cihazlarıkullanılmıştır. Ayrıca 1, 5 ve 20 yıkama sayısı ile kumaş ağırlıklarındakideğişim değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan testlere göre farklı ağırlıklarda üretilenpoliester çözgülü örme kumaşlar, uzama ve hava geçirgenliği özellikleribakımından yıkama tekrar sayısına göre değişiklik göstermiştir. Bu sonuç isepoliester çözgülü örme kumaşların mekanik özellikleri değerlendirilirken bakımişlemlerinin de göz önünde bulundurulması gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır.
