Momo, a popular mobile social application, has attracted a significant number of malicious users engaged in illegal online activities such as fraud, online gambling, and illegal lending. The detection of these malicious users is of great importance. However, the loose social relationships between users and the limited textual content on Momo have made it challenging for existing methods to accurately characterize user features, resulting in low detection accuracy. To address this issue, a malicious user detection method based on the analysis of user spatio-temporal behavior and static attributes was proposed. Firstly, a user spatio-temporal information dataset was constructed by collecting user online time, location, and abnormal labels data provided by Momo’s location service. Then, the differences in online time and location distribution between normal users and malicious users with abnormal labels in the dataset were compared to analyze the spatio-temporal behavior characteristics of malicious users. Subsequently, the temporal behavior characteristics of users were characterized by the online probability of users in different time periods, and the spatial behavior characteristics of users were characterized by the degree of clustering of users’ historical location distribution. Finally, the obtained spatio-temporal behavior features and gender attributes were combined to train a user classification model for malicious user detection. A malicious user detection experiment was conducted based on 1,894,917 data points collected from 67,280 Momo users. The results demonstrate that the proposed method could effectively detect malicious users, especially for those with fewer historical content publications. The proposed method exhibits significantly better performance in correctly classifying malicious users compared to representative methods such as SybilSCAR and DatingSec, with an improvement of over 4.6% in AUC-ROC and over 19.88% in AUC-PR.

A carbon material Cu-corn straw-sludge biochar (Cu-CSBC) was prepared by hydrothermally modifying sewage sludge and corn stover. The composite coupled to ultrasound can effectively catalyze the activation of PS for organic pollutants degradation, and the removal rate of 20 mg/L TC reached 89.15% in 5 min in the presence of 0.5 g/L Cu-CSBC and 3 mM PS. The synergistic effect between the factors in the system, the reaction mechanism, and the efficient removal of TC in the aqueous environment were explored in a Cu-CSBC/US/PS system established for that purpose. Quenching experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance analysis both demonstrated the Cu-CSBC/US/PS system generated •OH, SO4–•, 1O2, and O2- •, which involved in the reaction. The Cu, carboxyl, and hydroxyl groups on the Cu-CSBC surface promoted the generation of radicals and non-radicals for the degradation process, which was dominated by both radical and non-radical pathways. The degradation pathway is proposed by measuring the intermediate products with LC-MS. Finally, the stability of the Cu-CSBC/US/PS system was tested under various reaction conditions. This study not only prepared a novel biochar composite material for the active degradation of organic pollutants by PS but also provided an effective method for the resource utilization of solid waste and sludge treatment. HIGHLIGHTS Cu-CSBC prepared from co-pyrolyzed biomass–sludge to activate PS.; US and Cu-CSBC have a positive synergistic effect on the system.; The TC removal efficiency of the Cu-CSBC/US/PS system exceeded 99%.; The US can promote the production of free radicals in the system.; The main intermediates and pathways of TC degradation were identified.;

Abstract Background There is a broad pulse pressure (PP) and a high prevalence of carotid plaques in old adults. Previous studies have indicated that PP is strongly associated with carotid plaque formation. This study aimed to explore this association in old adults with uncontrolled hypertension. Methods 1371 hypertensive patients aged ≥ 60 years with uncontrolled hypertension were enrolled in a community-based screening in Hangzhou, China. Carotid plaques were assessed using ultrasonography. Logistic regression models were used to estimate the association between PP and carotid plaques by odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results Carotid plaques were detected in 639 (46.6%) of subjects. Multiple plaques were found in 408 (63.8%) and soft plaques in 218 (34.1%). Elevated PP was associated with a high prevalence of carotid plaques. After adjusting for traditional risk factors, compared to patients within the lowest tertile of PP, those within the highest tertiles had an increased risk of carotid plaques (OR 2.061, CI 1.547–2.745). For each 1-SD increase, the risk increased by 40.1% (OR 1.401, CI 1.237–1.587). There was a nonlinear association between PP and carotid plaques (P nonlinearity = 0.039). The risk increased rapidly after the predicted PP level reached around 60 mmHg. The associations were stronger among participants with multiple and soft plaques. Conclusions Our findings suggested that PP was independently associated with carotid plaques in old adults with uncontrolled hypertension who have an increased risk of atherosclerosis.

Salix psammophila, commonly known as the sandlive willow, is a vital shrub species within the Salicaceae family, particularly significant for its ecological role in regions susceptible to desertification and sandy soils. In this study, we assembled the complete S. psammophila mitochondrial genome using Pacbio HiFi third-generation sequencing data. The genome was found to be a typical single circular structure, with a total length of 715,555 bp and a GC content of 44.89%. We annotated 33 unique protein-coding genes (PCGs), which included 24 core mitochondrial genes and 9 variable genes, as well as 18 tRNA genes (5 of which were multicopy genes) and 3 rRNA genes. Comparative analysis of the PCGs from the mitochondrial genomes of S. psammophila, Populus deltoides, Populus simonii, Salix wilsonii, and Salix suchowensis revealed that these genes are relatively conserved within the Salicaceae family, with variability primarily occurring in the ribosomal protein genes. The absence of the rps14, which encodes a ribosomal protein, may have played a role in the evolution of stress tolerance in Salicaceae plants. Additionally, we identified 232 SSRs, 19 tandem repeat sequences, and 236 dispersed repeat sequences in the S. psammophila mitochondrial genome, with palindromic and forward repeats being the most abundant. The longest palindromic repeat measured 260 bp, while the longest forward repeat was 86,068 bp. Furthermore, 324 potential RNA editing sites were discovered, all involving C-to-U edits, with the nad4 having the highest number of edits. These findings provide valuable insights into the phylogenetic and genetic research of Salicaceae plants.

Introduction Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide, with breast cancer being one of the most commonly diagnosed types. Low-income and middle-income countries account for nearly half of all breast cancer cases and related fatalities. In Africa, mortality rates are higher and survival rates are lower compared with developed countries. Timeliness of care is a critical aspect of healthcare, but various studies and healthcare systems use different criteria and methods to measure it. Assessing the breast cancer care pathway and understanding the determinants of delayed care are essential for effective interventions. Therefore, this scoping review aims to evaluate the methods used to measure the timeliness of breast cancer care, identify specific points in the care pathway where delays are most frequently reported, and examine the factors affecting the timeliness of breast cancer care in Africa.Methods and analysis We will conduct this scoping review using the Arksey and O’Malley framework endorsed by the Joanna Briggs Institute. A scoping review of articles written in English concerning the timeliness of breast cancer care in the African context will be undertaken. Six electronic databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, SCOPUS, WEB Of SCIENCE and PsycINFO) will be searched to identify published literature on timeliness of breast care in Africa. Two reviewers will independently screen the articles at both the abstract and full-text stages, guided by predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The full texts of identified studies will be further examined and charted using a data extraction form guided by the Model of Pathways to Treatment framework. Publications describing the time to diagnosis and its associated factors in the contexts of breast cancer will be considered for inclusion, with no restrictions based on date of publication. Studies that are published in languages other than English and that do not focus on the timeliness of care or time-related aspects within the care pathway will be excluded. Evidence will be narratively synthesised and analysed.Ethics and dissemination Ethical approval is not needed as this scoping review does not involve collecting data from human participants. The results produced from this review will be submitted to a scientific peer-reviewed journal for publication and will be presented at scientific meetings.

IntroductionUnderstanding how human activities affect biodiversity is needed to inform systemic policies and targets for achieving sustainable development goals. Shallow tillage to remove Artemisia ordosica is commonly conducted in the Mu Us Desert. However, the impacts of shallow tillage on plant community species diversity, phylogenetic structure, and community assembly processes remain poorly understood.MethodsThis study explores the effects of shallow tillage on species diversity including three a-diversity and two b-diversity indicators, as well as phylogenetic structure [phylogenetic diversity (PD), net relatedness index (NRI), and nearest taxon index (NTI)]. Additionally, this research analyzes the effects of shallow tillage on the community assembly process.Results and discussionThe results showed that the a-diversity index, b-diversity index, and PD of the shallow tillage (ST) communities were significantly higher than those of the non-shallow tillage (NT) communities, and the phylogenetic structures of both the ST and NT communities tended to be differentiated, with competitive exclusion being the main mechanism of plant assembly. However, shallow tillage increased the relative importance of the stochastic processes dominated by dispersal limitation, mitigating plant competition in the communities. This conclusion was supported by the Raup–Crick difference index-based analysis.ConclusionTherefore, for the ecological restoration of the Mu Us Desert, species with adaptability and low niche overlap should be selected to increase the utilization efficiency of the environmental resources. The results of this study provide a foundation for policy development for ecosystem management and restoration in the Mu Us Desert.

Abstract Elevated remnant cholesterol (RC) is considered a risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, but the evidence on this association applies to the Chinese population with hypertension is limited. We aimed to explore the association between RC levels and carotid plaque in old adults with hypertension. 8523 hypertensive patients aged ≥ 60 years with serum lipids and carotid ultrasonography data were included in this community-based screening. Fasting RC was calculated as total cholesterol minus high-density lipoprotein cholesterol minus low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC). The associations of RC levels with carotid plaque risk were evaluated using Logistic regression and restricted cubic spline models. Carotid plaque was screened in 4821 (56.56%) subjects. After multivariable-adjusted, RC was significantly related to carotid plaque [Odd ratio (OR)] = 1.043 per 0.1 mmol/L increase, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.030–1.056). The highest versus the lowest quartile of RC was 1.928 (1.673–2.223) for carotid plaque. A nonlinear association was found between serum RC levels and the risk of carotid plaque (P for nonlinearity 0.78 mmol/L differentiated patients at a higher risk of carotid plaque compared to those at lower concentrations, regardless of whether LDLC was on target at 2.59 mmol/L. In old adults with hypertension, elevated RC was positively associated with carotid plaque, independent of LDLC and other conventional risk factors.

Abstract Background There is a dearth of research combining geographical big data on medical resource allocation and growth with various statistical data. Given the recent achievements of China in economic development and healthcare, this study takes China as an example to investigate the dynamic geographical distribution patterns of medical resources, utilizing data on healthcare resources from 290 cities in China, as well as economic and population-related data. The study aims to examine the correlation between economic growth and spatial distribution of medical resources, with the ultimate goal of providing evidence for promoting global health equity. Methods The data used in this study was sourced from the China City Statistical Yearbook from 2001 to 2020. Two indicators were employed to measure medical resources: the number of doctors per million population and the number of hospital and clinic beds per million population. We employed dynamic convergence model and fixed-effects model to examine the correlation between economic growth and the spatial distribution of medical resources. Ordinary least squares (OLS) were used to estimate the β values of the samples. Results The average GDP for all city samples across all years was 36,019.31 ± 32,029.36, with an average of 2016.31 ± 1104.16 doctors per million people, and an average of 5986.2 ± 6801.67 hospital beds per million people. In the eastern cities, the average GDP for all city samples was 47,672.71 ± 37,850.77, with an average of 2264.58 ± 1288.89 doctors per million people, and an average of 3998.92 ± 1896.49 hospital beds per million people. The thickness of a cover significantly influences both the bonding performance and the durability of materials against frost resistance. This research investigates the degradation and damage distribution of fundamental mechanical properties in two specimens of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC), each with varying sizes, following freeze-thaw cycles (FTCs). This comparison is facilitated through non-destructive and damage tests. Subsequently, the influence of freeze-thaw damage (FTD) on the bond strength of specimens with differing cover thicknesses is examined via pull-out tests on 14 groups of center pull-out specimens. Lastly, the bond strength is theoretically analyzed. The test results reveal that FTCs diminish the material strength of RAC, and the FTD distribution within RAC specimens is not uniform. The surface concrete sustains a higher degree of damage compared to the internal concrete, resulting in an average FTD of small-size specimens that surpasses that of large-size specimens. The residual strength of RAC can be assessed using a non-destructive test, specifically the ultrasonic wave velocity test. For center pull-out specimens, FTD not only decreases the material strength but also increases the wedge splitting angle while reducing the critical protective layer thickness. This paper proposes a soft sleeve correction theory that comprehensively accounts for the effects of FTD. When combined with non-destructive test results—namely those from the ultrasonic wave velocity test—this theory can effectively evaluate the bond strength of RAC post-FTD. This approach offers valuable insights for the design and assessment of recycled concrete in cold climates.

Extensional strike-slip basins have unique structural features that influence both sub-sags and traps. Despite previous investigations into the extension-strike-slip fault system, there remains a gap in the comprehensive analysis of its influence on sub-sag formation and trap development. The Huanghekoudong and Miaoxi’nan sub-sags within the Bohai Bay Basin, intersected by the Tan-Lu Fault Zone, offer exemplary cases for examining the interplay between strike-slip and extensional tectonic regimes. The neotectonic strike-slip movements along the Tan-Lu Fault Zone have given rise to various extensional strike-slip overlap zones in these sub-sags, rendering these locales ideal for investigating the dynamics of strike-slip and extensional tectonic processes. Employing three-dimensional seismic data, well logs, and a newly constructed sequence stratigraphic framework, our research delineates the geometric and kinematic phenomena characteristic of the extensional strike-slip fault system, including the dynamics of extensional fault deformation and interaction through time. By scrutinizing the fault system’s vital role in shaping sub-sag evolution and trap genesis, we present a comprehensive model that significantly contributes to our understanding of structural trapping dynamics. This model not only fine-tunes existing trapping models but also offers invaluable insights for future exploration strategies within the Bohai Bay Basin and other similar extensional strike-slip basins worldwide. Our findings highlight the novel and significant implications of the extensional strike-slip fault system in controlling sub-sag and trap features, thus bridging a notable gap in existing geotechnical knowledge.

The corrosion behavior of ship steel with different microstructure in a simulated tropical marine atmosphere was systematically investigated. Results show that homogeneous martensite structure obtained by water-quenching process was much more resistant to corrosion than that of ferrite-pearlite. Furthermore, the precipitation of carbide resulting from tempering process promoted the formation of corrosive microcells within the matrix and further intensified the corrosion. Rapid cooling rate led to the enrichment of chromium, which formed protective corrosion products such as FeCr2O4 and Cr(OH)3. This also facilitated the conversion of α-FeOOH and significantly enhanced the corrosion resistance.

With the rapid development of information technology, the problem of curve matching has appeared in many application domains, including sequence analysis, signals processing, speech recognition, etc. Many similarity measures have been studied for matching curves based on Euclidean distance, which shows fragility in portraying the morphological information of curve data. In this paper, we propose a novel weighted composite curve dissimilarity metric (WCDM). First, the WCDM measures the dissimilarity based on the higher-order semantic difference between curve shapes and location difference. These two differences are calculated using the curvature difference and Euclidean distance between the curves, respectively. Second, a new dynamic weighting function is defined by employing the relationship between the trends of the curves. This function aims at adjusting the contributions of the curvature difference and the Euclidean distance to compose the dissimilarity measure WCDM. Finally, to ascertain the rationality of the WCDM, its metric properties are studied and proved theoretically. Comparison experiments on clustering and classification tasks are carried out on curve sets transformed from UCR time series datasets, and an application analysis of the WCDM is conducted on spectral data. The experimental results indicate the effectiveness of the WCDM. Specifically, clustering and classification based on the WCDM are superior to those based on ED, DTW, Hausdorff, Fréchet, and LCSS on at least 8 out of 14 datasets across all evaluation indices. In particular, the Purity and ARI on the Beetlefly dataset are improved by more than 7.5%, while accuracy on the Beef, Chinatown, and OliveOil datasets increases by 13.32%, 10.08%, and 12.83%, respectively.

Berberine hydrochloride (BH) is a versatile bioactive compound derived from the plants of the Berberis genus, known for its various pharmacological effects. However, its oral bioavailability is low due to its high hydrophilicity and limited permeability. To enhance its clinical efficacy and oral bioavailability, this study designed and prepared a BH-loaded self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (BH-SMEDDS), and characterized its in vitro and in vivo properties. Firstly, the optimal formulation of BH-SMEDDS was selected using solubility evaluations, pseudo-ternary phase diagrams, and particle size analysis. The formulation containing 55% Capmul MCM, 22.5% Kolliphor RH 40, and 22.5% 1,2-propanediol was developed. BH-SMEDDS exhibited stable physicochemical properties, with an average particle size of 47.2 ± 0.10 nm and a self-emulsification time of 26.02 ± 0.24 s. Moreover, in vitro dissolution studies showed significant improvements in BH release in simulated intestinal fluid, achieving 93.1 ± 2.3% release within 300 min. Meanwhile, BH-SMEDDS did not exhibit cytotoxic effects on the Caco-2 cells. Additionally, BH-SMEDDS achieved a 1.63-fold increase in oral bioavailability compared to commercial BH tablets. Therefore, SMEDDS presents a promising strategy for delivering BH with enhanced oral bioavailability, demonstrating significant potential for clinical application.

Wearable sensors for sweat trace metal monitoring have the challenges of effective sweat collection and the real-time recording of detection signals. The existing detection technologies are implemented by generating enough sweat through exercise, which makes detecting trace metals in sweat cumbersome. Generally, it takes around 20 min to obtain enough sweat, resulting in dallied and prolonged detection signals that cannot reflect the endogenous fluctuations of the body. To solve these problems, we prepared a multifunctional hydrogel as an electrolyte and combined it with a flexible patch electrode to realize real-time monitoring of sweat Zn2+. Such hydrogel has magnetic and porous properties, and the porous structure of hydrogel enables a fast absorption of sweat, and the magnetic property of the addition of fabricated Fe3O4 NPs not only improves the conductivity but also ensures the adjustable internal structures of the hydrogel. Such a sensing platform for sweat Zn2+ monitoring shows a satisfied linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.16–16 µg/mL via differential pulsed anodic striping voltammetry (DPASV) and successfully detects the sweat Zn2+ of four volunteers during exercise and resting, displaying a promising path for commercial application.

ObjectiveTo examine current situation and influencing factors of disability among urban and rural elderly residents in Tai'an municipality, and to provide evidence for promoting healthy aging in the population. Methods Face-to-face interviews were conducted among 3 896 elderly residents ( ≥ 60 years) recruited with multistage random cluster sampling in 6 prefectures/counties/districts of Tai′an municipality, Shandong province during July – August 2020. The Physical Self-Maintenance Scale (PSMS) for activities of daily living (ADL) assessment, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) for sleep status evaluation, and a self-designed general questionnaire were adopted in the survey for analyzing ADL and its associates of the elderly. Results Of the 3 864 elderly averagely aged 68.89 ± 5.98 years, 4.8% were assessed as having disabilities (with a PSMS score of higher than 6), with a significantly higher disability ratio among the rural elderly than that among the urban elderly (5.5% vs. 3.5%, χ2 = 8.040; P < 0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed following significant influencing factors of disability: (1) risk factors for urban elderly: aged ≥ 80 years (odds ratio [OR] = 7.058), poor self-rated health (OR = 3.237), and poor sleep quality (OR = 6.288); (2) protective factors for urban elderly: participating in the basic medical insurance for urban employees (OR = 0.146) or the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents (OR = 0.180); (3) risk factors for rural elderly: aged 70 – 79 years (OR = 2.116) or ≥ 80 years (OR = 7.270), fair self-rated health (OR = 2.256) or poor self-rated health (OR = 4.368), suffering from chronic diseases (OR = 3.290), falling history in the previous year (OR = 2.151); and (4) protective factors for rural elderly: participating in physical exercise (OR = 0.568). ConclusionThe prevalence of disability was higher among rural elderly residents than that among urban elderly residents and the prevalence was influenced by age and self-rated health for both rural and urban elderly in Tai′an municipality.

Bozhong Sag, the largest hydrocarbon generation sag in the Bohai Bay Basin, is characterized by presence of the third member of the Shahejie Formation (E2s3), which serves as a significant source rock. While previous studies have provided insights into the source material, sedimentary environment, and thermal maturity of the E2s3 source rocks, further investigation is required to deepen our understanding of sedimentary events and biological sources. In this research, nine mudstone core samples from the southwestern Bozhong Sag were thoroughly analyzed using organic-inorganic geochemistry and organic petrology. The results reveal the following key findings: (1) The middle and lower sections of the third member of the Shahejie Formation are characterized by high-quality source rocks, with the lower section exhibiting superior quality. The increase in water salinity during warm and humid climates, and the detection of 24-n-propylcholestane compounds reflected the occurrence of transgression events in the E2s3. These transgressions gradually increased from the lower sections to the middle sections of the E2s3. (2) The studied samples exhibit abundant presence of 4α-methyl-24-ethylcholestanes, 24-n-propylcholestanes, 2α-methylhopanes, oleananeabundant algainite, and a small amount of vitrinite. This diversity of hydrocarbon-forming organisms in the E2s3 source rocks is evident. (3) The moderate marine incursion in the lower part of the E2s3 results in nutrient elements that promote the flourishing of bacteria and algae, providing an abundant material basis for the formation of high-quality source rocks. However, the large-scale marine incursion in the middle of the E2s3 weakens water eutrophication, resulting in a decrease in the quality of source rocks compared to the lower part of the E2s3.

In this paper, an improved complex-valued convolutional neural network (CvCNN) structure to be placed at the received side is proposed for nonlinearity compensation in a coherent optical system. This complex-valued global convolutional kernel-assisted convolutional neural network equalizer (CvGNN) has been verified in terms of Q-factor performance and complexity compared to seven other related nonlinear equalizers based on both the 64 QAM experimental platform and the QPSK numerical platform. The global convolution operation of the proposed CvGNN is more suitable for the calculation process of perturbation coefficients, and the global receptive field can also be more effective at extracting effective information from perturbation feature maps. The introduction of CvCNN can directly focus on the complex-valued perturbation feature maps themselves without separately processing the real and imaginary parts, which is more in line with the waveform-dependent physical characteristics of optical signals. Based on the experimental platform, compared with the real-valued neural network with small convolutional kernel (RvCNNC), the proposed CvGNNC improves the Q-factor by ∼2.95 dB at the optimal transmission power, while reducing the time complexity by ∼44.7%.

The HH 111 protostellar disk has recently been found to host a pair of spiral arms. Here we report the dust polarization results in the disk as well as the inner envelope around it, obtained with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array in continuum at λ ∼ 870 μ m and ∼0.″05 resolution. In the inner envelope, polarization is detected with a polarization degree of ∼6% and an orientation almost everywhere parallel to the minor axis of the disk and thus likely to be due to the dust grains magnetically aligned mainly by toroidal fields. In the disk, the polarization orientation is roughly azimuthal on the far side and becomes parallel to the minor axis on the near side, with a polarization gap in between on the far side near the central protostar. The disk polarization degree is ∼2%. The polarized intensity is higher on the near side than the far side, showing a near–far side asymmetry. More importantly, the polarized intensity and thus polarization degree are lower in the spiral arms but higher in between the arms, showing an anticorrelation of the polarized intensity with the spiral arms. Our modeling results indicate that this anticorrelation is useful for constraining the polarization mechanism and is consistent with the dust self-scattering by the grains that have grown to a size of ∼150 μ m. The interarms are sandwiched and illuminated by two brighter spiral arms and thus have higher polarized intensity. Our dust self-scattering model can also reproduce the observed polarization orientation parallel to the minor axis on the near side and the observed azimuthal polarization orientation at the two disk edges in the major axis. Further modeling work is needed to study how to reproduce the observed near–far side asymmetry in the polarized intensity and the observed azimuthal polarization orientation on the far side.

Psoriasis (PSO) is a common skin disease affecting approximately 1%–3% of the population, and the incidence rate is increasing yearly. PSO is associated with a dramatically increased risk of cardiovascular disease, the most common of which is atherosclerosis (AS). In the past, inflammation was considered to be the triggering factor of the two comorbidities, but in recent years, studies have found that lipid metabolism disorders increase the probability of atherosclerosis in patients with psoriasis. In this review, we discuss epidemiological studies, clinical treatment methods, risk factors, and lipid metabolism of psoriasis and atherosclerosis comorbidities.

This paper proposes a Nash bargaining cooperative game model for a microgrid cluster system with double re-energy-load delay considering electricity, heat and gas multi-energy synergies. With the minimization of the operating cost of each microgrid as the objective function, a low-carbon operation model of a multi-energy complementary integrated energy microgrid considering fuzzy opportunity constraints is developed, an optimal operation mechanism including carbon quota and carbon trading is assessed, and a carbon capture system and an electricity-gas conversion device are added to the improved cogeneration unit model. Source-load uncertainty in microgrids is described in terms of new fuzzy parameters of new energy and undefined parameters of load demand. Each microgrid plays a second game with the marginal contribution rate and carbon trading cost rate as the bargaining power. The model is solved in a distributed manner using the ADMM-RGE algorithm. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed multi-microgrid power-sharing way maximizes the benefits of microgrid alliances; the cooperative help of microgrid alliances is pretty distributed according to the size of each microgrid's energy contribution; carbon capture joint power-gas systems and energy sharing methods between microgrids can effectively reduce carbon emissions during microgrid operation.

Microtubules, polymerized from α-tubulin (TUA) and β-tubulin (TUB) monomers, play a pivotal role in shaping plant morphogenesis according to developmental and environmental cues. Salix psammophila C. Wang & C. Y. Yang is an important shrub plant in sand-fixing afforestation in arid regions, with three significantly distinct plant types shaped under various environments, namely, upright, intermediate, and scattered types. However, how tubulin genes respond to the developmental and environmental signs in S. psammophila has been far less studied. Here, based on RNA-seq, Sanger sequencing, and real-time PCR (RT-PCR) data, we analyzed the phylogeny of tubulins and their expression profiles in S. psammophila among the three plant types. Furthermore, we analyzed the genetic structure and expression pattern of SpsTUB10 in S. psammophila under various abiotic stress treatments. In total, we identified 26 SpsTubulin genes in S. psammophila. The homologous alignment and phylogenetic analysis revealed that these SpsTubulin genes can be classified into two groups, corresponding to the TUA and TUB genes. The expression profiles of these SpsTubulin genes in various organs showed that most SpsTubulin genes were mainly expressed in the root. SpsTUB10 is a member of the TUB IIa group, consisting of two intros and three exons. The SpsTUB10 protein contains a typical GTPase domain and a C-terminal domain, with α-helix and random coil dominant in the secondary and tertiary structures. The RT-PCR results of SpsTUB10 showed an extremely significant difference in expression levels among the root and stem-developing organs between the upright and scattered types, and the transcript level of SpsTUB10 had a significantly negative correlation with the crown-height ratio. Under different treatments, we found that cold, osmotic stress, and short daylight could significantly increase SpsTUB10 expression levels compared to those in the controls, thereby supporting the positive role of SpsTUB10 in stress-induced responses. These results will provide evidence for the SpsTubulin genes’ response to the developmental and environmental cues in S. psammophila.

Paulownia tomentosa flower polysaccharide (PTFP) from dried cultured P. tomentosa flowers, is widely known for its immunomodulatory activities. Here, PTFP was extracted from Paulownia tomentosa flower using hot water extraction, followed by ethanol precipitation methods. Structural characterization of PTFP was revealed by scanning electron microscope, high-performance anion-exchange chromatography, gel chromatography, ultraviolet and infrared spectral. Meanwhile, adjuvant action of PTFT on the immune responses to classical swine fever vaccine in mice was evaluated to further proclaim the immune regulatory effect of PTFP. The results showed that PTFP was a type of heteropolysaccharide with a dense, rough surface and high molecular weight (667.02 kDa), mainly composed of glucose (30.93%), rhamnose (29.99%), galactose (15.66%), arabinose (6.95%), mannose (5.52%), and xylose (4.80%). The results of gel chromatography suggested that the molecular configuration of PTFP may be a spherical structure. The infrared spectrum results confirmed that the functional groups and chemical bond of PTFP contained -OH, O-H, C-H, C=O, C-O, etc. Moreover, PTFP exhibited obvious immune enhancement effect by improving concanavalin A (ConA), lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and CSFV E2-stimulated splenocyte growth and natural killer cell activity in CSFV-immunized mice. Similarly, the titers of CSFV E2-specific IgG, IgG1, IgG2a, and IgG2b antibodies and IFN-γ and IL-10 levels in CSFV-immunized mice were distinctly increased by PTFP treatment. Overall, PTFP was a macromolecular heteropolysaccharide primarily containing glucose and rhamnose, and possessed the auxiliary effect of immune enhancement on the immune responses to classical swine fever vaccine.

Staphylococcus aureus is a zoonotic opportunistic pathogen that represents a significant threat to public health. Previous studies have shown that tannic acid (TA) has an inhibitory effect on a variety of bacteria. In this study, the proteome and transcriptome of S. aureus were analyzed to comprehensively assess changes in genes and proteins induced by TA. Initial observations of morphological changes revealed that TA damaged the integrity of the cell membrane. Next, proteomic and genetic analyses showed that exposure to TA altered the expression levels of 651 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs, 283 upregulated and 368 downregulated) and 503 differentially expressed genes (DEGs, 191 upregulated and 312 downregulated). Analysis of the identified DEPs and DEGs suggested that TA damages the integrity of the cell envelope by decreasing the expression and protein abundance of enzymes involved in the synthesis of peptidoglycans, teichoic acids and fatty acids, such as murB, murQ, murG, fmhX and tagA. After treatment with TA, the assembly of ribosomes in S. aureus was severely impaired by significant reductions in available ribosome components, and thus protein synthesis was hindered. The levels of genes and proteins associated with amino acids and purine synthesis were remarkably decreased, which further reduced bacterial viability. In addition, ABC transporters, which are involved in amino acid and ion transport, were also badly affected. Our results reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of TA on S. aureus and provide a theoretical basis for the application of TA as an antibacterial chemotherapeutic agent.

Based on the data associated with cores, sidewall cores, casting thin sections, reservoir physical properties, conventional logging and imaging logging, the classification schemes of vertical reservoir units are proposed for the two types of Archaeozoic buried hills (exposed and covered ones) in the Bozhong Sag, Bohai Bay Basin. The geological characteristics and storage spaces of these reservoir units are described, and their identification markers in conventional and imaging log curves are established. The Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills can be vertically classified into two primary reservoir units: weathering crust and inner buried hill. The weathering crust contains four secondary units, i.e., the clay zone, weathered glutenite zone, leached zone, disaggregation zone; and the interiors contain two secondary units, i.e., interior fracture zone and tight zone. In particular, the inner fracture zone was further divided into cataclasite belts and dense-fracture belts. It is proposed that the favorable reservoirs of exposed Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills are mainly developed in four parts including weathered glutenite zone, leached zone, disintegration zone superposed with the cataclasite belt and the cataclasite belt of inner fracture zone, and are controlled by both weathering and tectonic actions. Favorable reservoirs in covered Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills are mainly developed in the weathering crust superposed with the cataclasite belts and the cataclasite belts of inner fracture zone, and are mainly controlled by tectonic actions.

Background Nephrotic syndrome (NS) and nephrotic-range proteinuria (NRP) are uncommon in IgA nephropathy (IgAN), and their clinicopathology and prognosis have not been discussed. Podocytes may play an important role in both clinical phenotypes.Methods We investigated 119 biopsy-proven IgAN patients with proteinuria over 2 g/d. The patients were divided into three groups according to proteinuria level: the overt proteinuria (OP) group, NS group, and NRP group. In addition, according to the severity of foot process effacement (FPE), the patients were divided into three groups: the segmental FPE (SFPE) group, moderate FPE (MFPE) group, and diffuse FPE (DFPE) group. The outcome was survival from a combined event defined by a doubling of the baseline serum creatinine and a 50% reduction in eGFR or ESRD.Results Compared with the NRP group, patients in the NS group had more severe microscopic hematuria, presented with more severe endocapillary hypercellularity and had a higher percentage of DFPE. The Kaplan–Meier curve showed that MFPE patients had a better outcome in the NRP group

Introduction The timely treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients is of utmost importance, and yet, there remains a significant disparity between urban and rural areas in China due to the unequal distribution of medical resources. The manifestation of symptoms and psychosocial factors play a crucial role in shaping medical decisions for AMI patients. It is well established that minimising prehospital delay (PHD) is crucial for the successful implementation of recanalisation therapy and reducing mortality in out-of-hospital settings. However, there remains a paucity of studies investigating the correlation between illness perception, symptom response, social support, and PHD in AMI patients.Aim The aim of this study was to analyse the relationship pathways between symptom response, illness perception, social support and PHD time in patients with AMI in rural areas of China.Methods A primary care-based cross-sectional study was designed to investigate the inpatients initially diagnosed with AMI in the emergency department of three tertiary care hospitals in three counties in northern Zhejiang Province by convenience sampling method from January 2023 to December 2023. A minimum of 286 patients will be enrolled (voluntary response sample). Each participant will complete a paper-based questionnaire to gather research outcomes. Statistical analyses will be performed using logistic regression and structural equation model with PHD as main outcome parameter.Discussion This is the first study of the factors influencing PHD in AMI in rural China using structural equation model. Our study will address this gap in the available research. The implementation and findings of this study may provide a reliable basis for reducing PHD in AMI patients in rural areas and establish a relevant theoretical foundation for the implementation of targeted interventions and risk prevention measures in primary care hospitals.

Mas-related G-protein-coupled receptors X1-X4 (MRGPRX1-X4) are 4 primate-specific receptors that are recently reported to be responsible for many biological processes, including itch sensation, pain transmission, and inflammatory reactions. MRGPRX1 is the first identified human MRGPR, and its expression is restricted to primary sensory neurons. Due to its dual roles in itch and pain signaling pathways, MRGPRX1 has been regarded as a promising target for itch remission and pain inhibition. Here, we reported a cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structure of Gq-coupled MRGPRX1 in complex with a synthetic agonist compound 16 in an active conformation at an overall resolution of 3.0 Å via a NanoBiT tethering strategy. Compound 16 is a new pain-relieving compound with high potency and selectivity to MRGPRX1 over other MRGPRXs and opioid receptor. MRGPRX1 was revealed to share common structural features of the Gq-mediated receptor activation mechanism of MRGPRX family members, but the variable residues in orthosteric pocket of MRGPRX1 exhibit the unique agonist recognition pattern, potentially facilitating to design MRGPRX1-specific modulators. Together with receptor activation and itch behavior evaluation assays, our study provides a structural snapshot to modify therapeutic molecules for itch relieving and analgesia targeting MRGPRX1.

BackgroundSleep quality is considered to be associated with cognitive function for older adults, but little is known about whether living with others can buffer mild cognitive impairment in older adults with poor sleep quality. The objective of this study was to examine the role of living arrangements in sleep quality and cognitive function among older adults aged 65 and over.Methods2,859 older adults over 65 years old were selected by using multi-stage stratified sampling method. Cognitive function and sleep quality were measured using Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Binary logistic regression was performed to examine the relationship between sleep quality and mild cognitive impairment, and the interaction effects of sleep quality and living arrangements on mild cognitive impairment stratified by gender.ResultsPoor sleep quality was associated with mild cognitive impairment among men and women regardless of living arrangements. The significantly protective role of living with others in reducing the incidence of mild cognitive impairment was found in men with poor sleep quality, but not in women.ConclusionTargeted support for older adults with poor sleep quality may be effective in preventing mild cognitive impairment, and gender differences should be taken into account when promoting cohabitations.

Electrostatic accumulation is associated with almost all powder-conveying processes which could bring about electrostatic discharges. In most cases of industrial accidents, electrostatic discharge is proven to be the primary source of ignition and explosion. Herein, a surface modification process of polyaniline (PANI) is proposed to construct highly exothermic special powders, namely, HMX@PANI energetic composites, with low charge accumulation for improving powder electrostatic safety. Pure HMX are encapsulated within the PANI-conductive polymer layer through simple hydrogen bonding. Simulation results demonstrate that the forming process of HMX/aniline structure is a spontaneously thermodynamical process. The resultant inclusion complex exhibits excellent thermal stability, remarkable compatibility and intensive heat release. Importantly, PANI possesses superior electrostatic mobility characteristics because of the π-conjugated ligand, which can significantly reduce the accumulated charges on the surface of energetic powders. Moreover, the modified explosive has a narrower energy gap, which will improve the electron transition by reducing the energy barrier. The electrostatic accumulation test demonstrates that HMX@PANI composites possess a trace electrostatic accumulation of 34 nC/kg, which is two orders of magnitude lower than that of pure HMX (−6600 nC/kg) and might indicate a higher electrostatic safety. In conclusion, this surface modification process shows great promise for potential applications and could be extensively used in the establishment of high electrostatic safety for special powders.

Millimeter and submillimeter observations of continuum linear dust polarization provide insight into dust grain growth in protoplanetary disks, which are the progenitors of planetary systems. We present the results of the first survey of dust polarization in protoplanetary disks at 870 μ m and 3 mm. We find that protoplanetary disks in the same molecular cloud at similar evolutionary stages can exhibit different correlations between observing wavelength and polarization morphology and fraction. We explore possible origins for these differences in polarization, including differences in dust populations and protostar properties. For RY Tau and MWC 480, which are consistent with scattering at both wavelengths, we present models of the scattering polarization from several dust grain size distributions. These models aim to reproduce two features of the observational results for these disks: (1) both disks have an observable degree of polarization at both wavelengths; and (2) the polarization fraction is higher at 3 mm than at 870 μ m in the centers of the disks. For both disks, these features can be reproduced by a power-law distribution of spherical dust grains with a maximum radius of 200 μ m and high optical depth. In MWC 480, we can also reproduce features (1) and (2) with a model containing large grains ( a _max = 490 μ m) near the disk midplane and small grains ( a _max = 140 μ m) above and below the midplane.

We investigate the crescent-shaped dust trap in the transition disk Oph IRS 48 using well-resolved (sub)millimeter polarimetric observations at ALMA Band 7 (870 μ m). The dust polarization map reveals patterns consistent with dust-scattering-induced polarization. There is a relative displacement between the polarized flux and the total flux, which holds the key to understanding the dust scale heights in this system. We model the polarization observations, focusing on the effects of dust scale heights. We find that the interplay between the inclination-induced polarization and the polarization arising from radiation anisotropy in the crescent determines the observed polarization; the anisotropy is controlled by the dust optical depth along the midplane, which is, in turn, determined by the dust scale height in the vertical direction. We find that the dust grains can be neither completely settled nor well mixed with the gas. The completely settled case produces little radial displacement between the total and polarized flux, while the well-mixed case produces an azimuthal pattern in the outer (radial) edge of the crescent that is not observed. Our best model has a gas-to-dust scale height ratio of 2 and can reproduce both the radial displacement and the azimuthal displacement between the total and polarized flux. We infer an effective turbulence α parameter of approximately 0.0001–0.005. The scattering-induced polarization provides insight into a turbulent vortex with a moderate level of dust settling in the IRS 48 system, which is hard to achieve otherwise.

In this paper, a Ti-deoxidized low carbon high strength steel plate with different Nb content was obtained by thermal mechanical control processing (TMCP) methods. The coarse-grain heat-affected zone (CGHAZ) under high heat input of 300 kJ/cm conditions was simulated. The effects of Nb on microstructure and mechanical properties in base metal (BM) and CGHAZ were analyzed. The results showed that high content of Nb addition is not conducive to the improvement of toughness, especially in high heat input CGHAZ. A certain amount of Nb inhibites the formation of ferrite, while promotes the bainite transformation with coarse carbides during high heat input welding process. Although high-angle grain boundary has a certain hindrance to the crack propagation, the coarse carbides caused by the enhanced hardenability in Nb-bearing steels stimulates the crack initiation sensitively. Besides, the uneven prior austenite grains may also take responsibility to the deterioration of toughness in Nb-bearing CGHAZ. In general, the content of Nb should be carefully added when impact toughness of CGHAZ is considered during high heat input welding in Ti-deoxidized low carbon high strength steel.

Most fabrication methods of metallic nanostructures are time-consuming with multi-steps, which are difficult to achieve low-cost batch processing. In this study, joint laser process of laser shock polishing & imprinting (LSPI) is proposed to efficiently fabricate large-area nanostructures on the surface of cheap industrial aluminum foil without any pre-processing step. LSPI tailors the laser parameters of single laser manufacturing equipment to apply laser shock polishing (LSP) to polish the aluminum foil, and then laser shock imprinting (LSI) to obtain nanostructures with high accuracy, integrity and uniformity. This unique characteristic of proposed LSPI is enabled by pre-taking LSP process to improve the yield of following LSI process through significantly decreasing the surface roughness of aluminum foil. LSPI also reduces the aluminum residue inside the silicon mold, which improves the integrity of resultant nanostructure and facilitates the reuse of the mold. The working mechanism of LSPI are also investigated to reveal its fundamental fabrication principle, which may inspire other low-cost and efficient batch fabrication method for metallic nanostructures manufacturing in the future.

Acquired brain injury (ABI) is the most common disease of the nervous system, involving complex pathological processes, which often leads to a series of nervous system disorders. The structural destruction and dysfunction of the Neurovascular Unit (NVU) are prominent features of ABI. Therefore, understanding the molecular mechanism underlying NVU destruction and its reconstruction is the key to the treatment of ABI. SUMOylation is a protein post-translational modification (PTM), which can degrade and stabilize the substrate dynamically, thus playing an important role in regulating protein expression and biological signal transduction. Understanding the regulatory mechanism of SUMOylation can clarify the molecular mechanism of the occurrence and development of neurovascular dysfunction after ABI and is expected to provide a theoretical basis for the development of potential treatment strategies. This article reviews the role of SUMOylation in vascular events related to ABI, including NVU dysfunction and vascular remodeling, and puts forward therapeutic prospects.

Carbonate buried hill madeexploration breakthroughs recently in the offshore Bohai Bay Basin, China, but the plane distribution of the buried hill reservoirs are unclear due to the highly heterogeneous. Taking the CFD2 oilfield as an example, based on core, thin section, seismic, and well logging data, the characteristics of Carbonate buried hill reservoirs in the study area were clarified, the formation mechanism of the reservoirs was discussed, and the development model of the reservoir was established. The results show that the reservoirs are mainly fractured-dissolved reservoirs, and the formation of the reservoirs is mainly related to structural fractures and fluid dissolution along the fractures. The NWW-trending structural fractures were formed under the control of the Indosinian compression, and the NEE-trending structural fractures were formed under the control of the Yanshanian strike-slip transpression. Dolomite is more brittle than limestone and is the main lithology for forming effective fractures. Structural fractures provide favorable channels for atmospheric water dissolution. The C and O isotope values reveal that at least two stages of dissolution have occurred in the study area which are supergene karstification and burial karstification. A model of the fractured-dissolved reservoir under the control of “structure-lithology-fluid” was established. This model highlights that the structural fractures formed by tectonic activities are crucial to reservoir development, and lithology is the internal factor controlling reservoir distribution. Dolomite exhibits the compressive strength of only half of the limestone, and it is the dominant lithology for reservoir development. The dissolution of atmospheric water in the two stages along the fractures greatly improved the physical properties of the reservoirs, and it is the guarantee for the development of effective reservoirs.

Objective: To measure the effects of cerebral intermittent theta-burst stimulation with physiotherapy on lower extremity motor recovery in patients with incomplete spinal cord injury. Design: Randomized, double-blinded, sham-controlled trial. Subjects: Adults with incomplete spinal cord injury. Methods: A total of 38 patients with incomplete spinal cord injury were randomized into either an intermittent theta-burst stimulation or a sham group. Both groups participated in physiotherapy 5 times per week for 9 weeks, and cerebral intermittent theta-burst stimulation or sham intermittent theta-burst stimulation was performed daily, immediately before physiotherapy. The primary outcomes were lower extremity motor score (LEMS), root-mean square (RMS), RMS of the quadriceps femoris muscle, walking speed (WS), and stride length (SL). Secondary outcomes comprised Holden Walking Ability Scale (HWAS) and modified Barthel Index (MBI). The outcomes were assessed before the intervention and 9 weeks after the start of the intervention. Results: Nine weeks of cerebral intermittent theta-burst stimulation with physiotherapy intervention resulted in improved recovery of lower extremity motor recovery in patients with incomplete spinal cord injury. Compared with baseline, the changes in LEMS, WS, SL, RMS, HWAS, and MBI were significant in both groups after intervention. The LEMS, WS, SL, RMS, HWAS, and MBI scores were improved more in the intermittent theta-burst stimulation group than in the sham group. Conclusion: Cerebral intermittent theta-burst stimulation with physiotherapy promotes lower extremity motor recovery in patients with incomplete spinal cord injury. However, this study included a small sample size and lacked a comparison of the treatment effects of multiple stimulation modes, the further research will be required in the future. LAY ABSTRACT Spinal cord injury is a serious condition caused by spinal trauma and tumours. Improving the patient’s limb function during recovery poses an important challenge. Transcranial magnetic stimulation technology is a new treatment used to improve nervous system function, which has shown promising results in treating spinal cord injuries in recent years. However, the effect of a specific type of magnetic stimulation, cerebral intermittent theta-burst stimulation, with routine physical therapy on lower extremity motor recovery in patients with incomplete spinal cord injury has not yet been explored. The results of this study suggest that 9 weeks of brain intermittent theta-burst stimulation combined with physical therapy has a positive short-term effect on lower extremity movement and recovery of daily living ability in patients with incomplete spinal cord injury, which might provide new insight into motor rehabilitation for spinal cord injury.
