Simple Summary: Completion lobectomy (CL) entails the resection of the remaining pulmonary lobe subsequent to wedge resection or segmentectomy. Indications for CL include reoperations for multiple or relapsed lung cancers and metastatic lung tumors, and the prognostic advantage of these procedures has been widely reported. However, ipsilateral surgical treatments, particularly within the same lobe, present challenges due to the development of intrapleural adhesions, rendering reoperation more difficult and time-consuming. VATS has emerged as the gold standard in the surgical treatment of early-stage NSCLC, offering superior postoperative outcomes when compared to thoracotomy. Its efficacy has been well established, even during complex procedures. However, its application in ipsilateral reoperations remains anecdotal, and to the best of our knowledge, no studies have analyzed the safety and efficacy of uniportal-VATS in this setting. This paper aims to evaluate the role of iniportal-VATS in CL long after wedge resection or anatomical segmentectomy in the same lobe. Background: Completion lobectomy (CL) following a prior resection in the same lobe may be complicated by severe pleural or hilar adhesions. The role of uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (U-VATS) has never been evaluated in this setting. Methods: Data were collected from two Italian centers. Between 2015 and 2022, 122 patients (60 men and 62 women, median age 67.7 ± 8.913) underwent U-VATS CL at least 4 weeks after previous lung surgery. Results: Twenty-eight (22.9%) patients were affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and twenty-five (20.4%) were active smokers. Among the cohort, the initial surgery was performed using U-VATS in 103 (84.4%) patients, triportal-VATS in 8 (6.6%), and thoracotomy in 11 (9.0%). Anatomical segmentectomy was the initial surgery in 46 (37.7%) patients, while hilar lymphadenectomy was performed in 16 (13.1%) cases. CL was performed on 110 (90.2%) patients, segmentectomy on 10 (8.2%), and completion pneumonectomy on 2 (1.6%). Upon reoperation, moderate pleural adhesions were observed in 38 (31.1%) patients, with 2 (1.6%) exhibiting strong adhesions. Moderate hilar adhesions were found in 18 (14.8%) patients and strong adhesions in 11 (9.0%). The median operative time was 203.93 ± 74.4 min. In four (3.3%) patients, PA taping was performed. One patient experienced intraoperative bleeding that did not require conversion to thoracotomy. Conversion to thoracotomy was necessary in three (2.5%) patients. The median postoperative drainage stay and postoperative hospital stay were 5.67 ± 4.44 and 5.52 ± 2.66 days, respectively. Postoperative complications occurred in 34 (27.9%) patients. Thirty-day mortality was null. Histology was the only factor found to negatively influence intraoperative outcomes (p = 0.000). Factors identified as negatively impacting postoperative outcomes at univariate analyses were male sex (p = 0.003), age > 60 years (p = 0.003), COPD (p = 0.014), previous thoracotomy (p = 0.000), previous S2 segmentectomy (p = 0.001), previous S8 segmentectomy (p = 0.008), and interval between operations > 5 weeks (p= 0.005). In multivariate analysis, only COPD confirmed its role as an independent risk factor for postoperative complications (HR: 5.12, 95% CI (1.07–24.50), p = 0.04). This paper depicts a Covid science case, that of the AstraZeneca Vaxzevria vaccine, with specific focus on what happened in Italy. Given that we believe acknowledging the role of non‐evidential factors in medicine is an important insight into the recent philosophy of science, we illustrate how in the case of Vaxzevria, the interplay between facts, values (both epistemic and non‐epistemic) and cognitive biases may have possibly led to different institutional decisions based on the same evidence. The structure of the paper is as follows. First, we provide a glossary of the relevant terms involved, that is to say, epistemic values, non‐epistemic values and cognitive biases. Second, we sketch a timeline of Vaxzevria's approvals and suspensions by relevant institutional healthcare authorities with special focus on Italy and the Italian Medicines Agency. Then we show the interplay between the evidence base, epistemic as well as non‐epistemic values and cognitive biases using a narrative review of political decisions along with newspaper and social media content pertaining to Vaxzevria. Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the role of aripiprazole once monthly as a maintenance treatment in a sample of patients with schizophrenia comorbid with alcohol and substance use disorder (AUD/SUD). Design/methodology/approach: A sample of 24 Italian adult patients has been recruited and treated with aripiprazole once monthly after clinical stabilization with oral aripiprazole during May 2021 and June 2022. Clinical evaluations have been performed at the baseline (T0) and after 12 (T1) and 24 (T2) weeks. Findings: During the study period, an improvement of both the clinical condition and general health from baseline was observed, as well as a reduction of craving for alcohol/substances. However, from T0, the number of patients who continued with this study decreased at T1 (n = 8) and then at T2 (n = 4). No serious adverse events were reported, including changes in weight, lipid/glucose metabolism, electrocardiogram and extra-pyramidal side effects. Originality/value: Although limited by the high number of drop outs, this observational real-world study provided insights into the use of aripiprazole once monthly among a sample of patients with schizophrenia and comorbid SUD/AUD. Objective: To compare the effectiveness and safety of galcanezumab, fremanezumab, and erenumab for the treatment of chronic and episodic migraine, through real‐world data. Background: Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting the calcitonin gene–related peptide (CGRP) pathway have been tested extensively in several clinical trials for both episodic and chronic migraine, showing high effectiveness, safety, and tolerability; however, there are no prospective real‐world studies intending to compare their efficacy and safety. Methods: This is a prospective observational cohort study comparing the effectiveness and safety profiles of galcanezumab, fremanezumab, and erenumab for the treatment of chronic and episodic migraine. We enrolled 140 patients at the Headache Centre of University Federico II of Naples, with a history of multiple failed treatments with validated migraine preventatives. Framenezumab, erenumab, or galcanezumab were administered for 12 months. The mean monthly days with headache, Migraine Disability Assessment (MIDAS) score, and adverse events were evaluated during the run‐in period and every 3 months by reviewing standardized paper patient headache diaries. Results: We found a mean reduction of migraine monthly days from baseline of −12.0 (−9.8, −14.1) in the galcanezumab group, −12.3 (−10.2, −14.3) in the fremanezumab group, and −10.8 (−8.5, −13.1) in the erenumab group (for all, p < 0.001). We found a mean reduction of MIDAS score of −32.6 (−26.6, −38.5) in the galcanezumab group, −33.4 (−28.0, −38.9) in the fremanezumab group, and −29.2 (−23.0, −35.4) in the erenumab group (for all, p < 0.001). We found no significant differences between mAbs in the reduction of mean monthly days with headache and MIDAS score. We found a more rapid effect of galcanezumab and erenumab compared to fremanezumab in medication overuse headache patients after 3 months of treatment (−10.8 and −11.1 vs. −4.0 days; p = 0.029). Conclusion: Our results confirm the therapeutic benefits of anti‐CGRP mAbs. Simple Summary: Since the introduction of effective systemic therapies (ESTs) (in the form of both targeted and immuno-based therapies) in the treatment of malignant melanoma, the prognosis of metastatic patients has dramatically changed. The role of metastasectomy in oligometastatic patients has rarely been addressed in this new pharmacological era. Even though lungs represent the most frequent site of melanoma metastases, only limited data are available on the role of surgery in isolated pulmonary metastases from malignant melanoma (PmMM). In this study, we describe the outcomes of patients who underwent metastasectomy of PmMM in the era of ESTs, and identified prognostic factors affecting survival in our multicentric experience. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first paper analyzing in detail the impact of metastasectomy of PmMM in the era of ESTs. In the last decade, the emergence of effective systemic therapies (ESTs) in the form of both targeted and immuno-based therapies has revolutionized the treatment of patients with advanced stage III and stage IV melanoma. Even though lungs represent the most frequent site of melanoma metastases, only limited data are available on the role of surgery in isolated pulmonary metastases from malignant melanoma (PmMM) in the era of ESTs. The aim of this study is to describe the outcomes of patients who underwent metastasectomy of PmMM in the era of ESTs, in order to identify prognostic factors affecting survival and to provide a framework for more informed patient selection of treatmeant with lung surgery in the future. Clinical data of 183 patients who underwent metastasectomy of PmMM between June 2008 and June 2021 were collected among four Italian Thoracic Centers. The main clinical, surgical and oncological variables reviewed were: sex, comorbidities, previous oncological history, melanoma histotypes and primary site, date of primary cancer surgical treatment, melanoma growth phase, Breslow thickness, mutation pattern disease, stage at diagnosis, metastatic sites, DFI (Disease Free Interval), characteristics of lung metastases (number, side, dimension, type of resection), adjuvant therapy after lung metastasectomy, site of recurrence, disease-free survival (DFS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS; defined as the time interval between the first melanoma resection or lung metastasectomy and death from cancer). All patients underwent surgical resection of the primary melanoma before lung metastasectomy. Twenty-six (14.2%) patients already had a synchronous lung metastasis at the time of primary melanoma diagnosis. A wedge resection was performed in 95.6% of cases to radically remove the pulmonary localizations, while an anatomical resection was necessary in the remaining cases. The incidence of major post-operative complications was null, while only 21 patients (11.5%) developed minor complications (mainly air leakage followed by atrial fibrillation). The mean in-hospital stay was 4.46 ± 2.8 days. Thirty- and sixty-day mortality were null. After lung surgery, 89.6% of the population underwent adjuvant treatments (47.0% immunotherapy, 42.6% targeted therapy). During a mean FUP of 107.2 ± 82.3 months, 69 (37.7%) patients died from melanoma disease, 11 (6.0%) from other causes. Seventy-three patients (39.9%) developed a recurrence of disease. Twenty-four (13.1%) patients developed extrapulmonary metastases after pulmonary metastasectomy. The CSS from melanoma resection was: 85% at 5 years, 71% at 10 years, 54% at 15 years, 42% at 20 years and 2% at 25 years. The 5- and 10-year CSS from lung metastasectomy were 71% and 26%, respectively. Prognostic factors negatively affecting CSS from lung metastasectomy at multivariable analysis were: melanoma vertical growth (p = 0.018), previous metastatic sites other than lung (p < 0.001) and DFI < 24 months (p = 0.007). Our results support the evidence that surgical indication confirms its important role in stage IV melanoma with resectable pulmonary metastases, and selected patients can still benefit from pulmonary metastasectomy in terms of overall cancer specific survival. Furthermore, the novel systemic therapies may contribute to prolonged survival after systemic recurrence following pulmonary metastasectomy. Patients with long DFI, radial growth melanoma phase and no site of metastatization other than lung seem to be the best candidate cases for lung metastasectomy; however, to drive stronger conclusions, further studies evaluating the role of metastasectomy in patients with iPmMM are needed. Simple Summary: This article regards the incidence of long COVID symptoms in a cohort of patients with cancer with or without previous treatment with early therapies anti-SARS-CoV-2 in an out-of-hospital setting. The enrolled patients were invited to take part in the survey by telephone at least 12 weeks after COVID-19 diagnosis in order to evaluate the incidence of long COVID symptoms. To date, no papers have focused on the oncological population managed at home with the early anti-SARS-CoV-2 therapies. The overlap between the symptoms related to the oncological disease/oncological treatment and the symptoms of long COVID is one of the main future challenges that oncologists will have to manage. The incidence of long COVID in a cohort of patients with cancer with or without previous treatment with early therapies anti-SARS-CoV-2 in an out-of-hospital setting have to be elucidated. We prospectively enrolled all patients treated for a solid tumor at the department of Medical Oncology of the Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo with a positive SARS-CoV-2 antigen or polymerase chain reaction test from January to September 2022 (Omicron surge). Ninety-seven patients answered the survey questions by telephone at least 12 weeks after COVID-19 diagnosis in order to evaluate the incidence of long COVID symptoms. Only twelve patients (12.4%) reported long COVID. No significant difference between early therapies anti-SARS-CoV-2 31 and long COVID (p = 0.443) was seen. The female sex (p = 0.024) and diabetes mellitus (p = 0.014) are significantly associated with long COVID. No statistically significant difference between the two groups (Long COVID vs. No Long COVID) according to the time to nasal swab viral clearance (p = 0.078). The overlap between the symptoms related to the oncological disease/oncological treatment and the symptoms of long COVID is one of the main future challenges that oncologists will have to manage. Simple Summary: Interventional oncology provides minimally invasive alternatives to many traditional medical and surgical treatments, offering a potential cure, control, or palliative care for many types of cancer patients. The aim of this article is to comprehensively review new indications for locoregional interventional oncology treatments and summarize the expert discussion and report from the "MIOLive Meets SIO" (Society of Interventional Oncology) session during the last Mediterranean Interventional Oncology Live congress held in Rome, Italy. Interventional oncology (IO) employs image-guided techniques to perform minimally invasive procedures, providing lower-risk alternatives to many traditional medical and surgical therapies for cancer patients. Since its advent, due to rapidly evolving research development, its role has expanded to encompass the diagnosis and treatment of diseases across multiple body systems. In detail, interventional oncology is expanding its role across a wide spectrum of disease sites, offering a potential cure, control, or palliative care for many types of cancer patients. Due to its widespread use, a comprehensive review of the new indications for locoregional procedures is mandatory. This article summarizes the expert discussion and report from the "MIOLive Meet SIO" (Society of Interventional Oncology) session during the last MIOLive 2022 (Mediterranean Interventional Oncology Live) congress held in Rome, Italy, integrating evidence-reported literature and experience-based perceptions. The aim of this paper is to provide an updated review of the new techniques and devices available for innovative indications not only to residents and fellows but also to colleagues approaching locoregional treatments. Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected and is still deeply affecting all aspects of public life. World governments have been forced to enact restrictive measures to stem the contagion which have led to a decrease in the movement of people within national territory and to a redirection of health care resources with a suspension of nonurgent procedures. In Italy, a lockdown was imposed from March 9th to May 3rd, 2020. As a result, a significant reduction in the overall operative volume of orthopedic trauma was expected, but it was not possible to predict a similar trend regarding fragility fractures of the proximal femur in the elderly. Methods: The aim of this paper was to examine the impact of COVID-19 on the operating volume for trauma surgeries and to determine how the pandemic affected the management of fragility hip fractures (FHFs) in non-COVID patients at a single Institution. Results: The first result was a statistically significant reduction in the overall operative volume of orthopedic trauma during the period of the first lockdown and an increase in the mean age of patients undergoing surgery, as expected. As regard to the second aim, the incidence of FHFs remained almost unchanged during the periods analysed. The population examined were superimposable in terms of demographics, comorbidities, type of fracture, peri-operative complications, percentage of operations performed within 48 hours from hospitalization and 1-year outcome. Discussion: Our results are in line with those already present in the Literature. Conclusions: Our study revealed a significant impact of the restrictive anticontagion measures on the overall orthopedic surgical volume, but, at the same time, we could affirm that the pandemic did not affect the management of FHFs in non-COVID patients, and their results. BACKGROUND: Robot-based treatments are developing in neurorehabilitation settings. Recently, the Italian National Health Systems recognized robot-based rehabilitation as a refundable service. Thus, the Italian neurorehabilitation community promoted a national consensus on this topic. OBJECTIVE: To conceptualize undisclosed perspectives for research and applications of robotics for neurorehabilitation, based on a qualitative synthesis of reference theoretical models. METHODS: A scoping review was carried out based on a specific question from the consensus Jury. A foreground search strategy was developed on theoretical models (context) of robot-based rehabilitation (exposure), in neurological patients (population). PubMed and EMBASE® databases were searched and studies on theoretical models of motor control, neurobiology of recovery, human-robot interaction and economic sustainability were included, while experimental studies not aimed to investigate theoretical frameworks, or considering prosthetics, were excluded. RESULTS: Overall, 3699 records were screened and finally 9 papers included according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. According to the population investigated, structured information on theoretical models and indications for future research was summarized in a synoptic table. CONCLUSION: The main indication from the Italian consensus on robotics in neurorehabilitation is the priority to design research studies aimed to investigate the role of robotic and electromechanical devices in promoting neuroplasticity. BACKGROUND: Gait impairments are common disabling symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). Among the approaches for gait rehabilitation, interest in robotic devices has grown in recent years. However, the effectiveness compared to other interventions, the optimum amount of training, the type of device, and which patients might benefit most remains unclear. OBJECTIVE: To conduct a systematic review about the effects on gait of robot-assisted gait training (RAGT) in PD patients and to provide advice for clinical practice. METHODS: A search was performed on PubMed, Scopus, PEDro, Cochrane library, Web of science, and guideline databases, following PRISMA guidelines. We included English articles if they used a robotic system with details about the intervention, the parameters, and the outcome measures. We evaluated the level and quality of evidence. RESULTS: We included twenty papers out of 230 results: two systematic reviews, 9 randomized controlled trials, 4 uncontrolled studies, and 5 descriptive reports. Nine studies used an exoskeleton device and the remainders end-effector robots, with large variability in terms of subjects' disease-related disability. CONCLUSIONS: RAGT showed benefits on gait and no adverse events were recorded. Aims: Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic immune disease. In this paper, we evaluated the overall characters, clinical presentation, and outcome of gingival lesions in OLP Italian patients. Methods and Results: A retrospective cohort study was accomplished: a total of 1319 charts were investigated, of whom 922 were female (69.9%): 617 patients (46.8%) manifested white lesions and 702 red ones (53.2%). While most patients had several oral sites of involvement, the gingiva was the unique location in 103 cases. Symptoms were reported in 480 patients (36.4%): 286 patients with erosive OLP, 103 with atrophic form, and 91 with a white form. Long‐lasting surveillance showed that only 40 patients (3.03%) had a total clinical signs remission. Regarding OLP medical treatment provided, patients attending less frequently a dental office underwent more often a specific therapy. Conclusions: To the best of our knowledge, this is the biggest collections of patients with gingival OLP ever described; exclusive gingival lesions are, however, rare and unlikely to undergo a malignant transformation. Moreover, gum lesions seemed to anticipate the appearance of oral lesions and a higher rate of OLP therapy was observed in patients with less frequent dental check‐ups and oral hygiene instructions. Background: Selective crossectomy and mechanochemical ablation (MOCA) of great saphenous vein (GSV) have been used, for years, individually in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency. In this paper, we focus on the advantages of a combination of the two techniques, in order to prevent complications and recurrence. Methods: A preoperative clinical and instrumental screening phase was conducted for the purpose of dividing patients into three groups: "Saph+Cross" group (51/139 patients) underwent saphenectomy and crossectomy; "MOCA" group (44/139 patients) underwent MOCA of GSV with Flebogrif® device; "MOCA + Cross" group (44/139 patients) subjected to both MOCA and crossectomy procedures. Recurrence rate, defined as total recanalization of GSV and/or onset of neosaphena and/or new varicose veins, was used as a primary outcome. Secondary outcomes were procedural time and intra- and post-procedural complications. Results: We conducted a 1-, 6-, and 12-month follow-up with Duplex scan. The recurrence rates were 3.9%, 21.8%, and 4.5% for "Saph+Cross," "MOCA," and "MOCA+Cross," respectively, with a significant difference for the comparison between "MOCA" and "Saph+Cross" (MOCA vs Saph+Cross: OR 5.35, CI95% [0.98; 54.6], p -value.040). The sub-analysis of primary outcome highlighted a lower recanalization rate of GSV when combining the crossectomy with MOCA procedure (2.2% MOCA+Cross vs 15.9% MOCA; 0.12 OR, [0.002; 1.02] CI95%, p -value.029). Among the secondary outcomes, "MOCA" showed a shorter procedural time than the other groups (Saph+Cross: 51.3 ± 11.4; MOCA: 45.1 ± 7.5; MOCA+Cross: 50.4 ± 10; p -value.027). No significant differences were noted in terms of intra- and post-procedural complications. Conclusions: The results showed that patients treated with saphenectomy and crossectomy have a lower recurrence rate compared to MOCA alone and MOCA + crossectomy procedures. The association of crossectomy with MOCA significantly reduces the recanalization rate of GSV, and it is also characterized by a higher free survival from recurrence (SSF) than with MOCA alone. (1) Background: The Ponseti Method is the gold standard for the treatment of congenital clubfoot. It is a low-cost treatment consisting in a series of plaster casts, a percutaneous Achilles' tenotomy and a Mitchell Ponseti brace to wear with a definite protocol. This treatment allows children to be with their families instead of being hospitalized. This advantage is also a challenge for the families that have to follow the protocol at home. This paper aims to analyze the perception, the difficulties and the overcomes of the families during the treatment. (2) Methods: We used a 41 questions questionnaire by Nogueira and Morquende. Questions were answered by families who had already finished the treatment or were still following it. (3) Results: We interviewed 92 families. The worst handling phase appeared to be the cast phase, while the brace seemed more bearable. In total, 57 families overrated tenotomy; (4) Conclusions: Families perceived the Ponseti Method as a quality treatment. The anxiety about the diagnosis played a strong role, but none of the difficulties encountered decreased the treatment outcomes or affected families' adherence to the protocol. Following the 2012 Emilia-Romagna seismic sequence, widespread liquefaction of silty sands was observed, providing the opportunity to enhance our knowledge of the influence of fines content on seismic hazard and mitigation works. This paper presents the results of a thorough geotechnical investigation performed in connection with full-scale controlled blast tests in Bondeno, Italy, a small village that suffered liquefaction in 2012. Piezocone (CPTU) and seismic dilatometer (SDMT) tests were performed in natural and improved soils after rammed aggregate pier (RAP) treatment to a depth of 9.5 m to provide accurate soil characterization, evaluate liquefaction, and verify the effectiveness of the ground improvement. The combined use of piezocone (CPTU) and flat dilatometer (DMT) data provided reliable estimates of the overconsolidation ratio and at-rest earth pressure coefficient and highlighted the soil improvement in silty sands between 4 and 9 m in depth. Shear-wave velocity measurements showed a low sensitivity to RAP installation. The treatment effectiveness was also confirmed by the use of the simplified procedures for liquefaction assessment, underlining the important influence of the adopted fines profile and by the blast-induced liquefaction. On 31st January 2020, the Italian cabinet declared a 6-month national emergency after the detection of the first two COVID-19 positive cases in Rome, two Chinese tourists travelling from Wuhan. Between then and the total lockdown introduced on 22nd March 2020 Italy was hit by an unprecedented crisis. In addition to being the first European country to be heavily swept by the COVID-19 pandemic, Italy was the first to introduce stringent lockdown measures. The SARS-CoV-2 outbreak and related COVID-19 pandemic have been the worst public health challenge endured in recent history by Italy. Two months since the beginning of the first wave, the estimated excess deaths in Lombardy, the hardest hit region in the country, reached a peak of more than 23,000 deaths. The extraordinary pressures exerted on the Italian Servizio Sanitario Nazionale (SSN) inevitably leads to questions about its preparedness and the appropriateness and effectiveness of responses implemented at both national and regional levels. The aim of the paper is to critically review the Italian response to the COVID-19 crisis spanning from the first early acute phases of the emergency (March-May 2020) to the relative stability of the epidemiological situation just before the second outbreak in October 2020. Background: In recent years, an increasing number of studies have examined the potential efficacy of cognitive training procedures in individuals with normal ageing and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Objective: The aims of this study were to (i) evaluate the efficacy of the cognitive Virtual Reality Rehabilitation System (VRRS) combined with anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) applied to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex compared to placebo tDCS stimulation combined with VRRS and (ii) to determine how to prolong the beneficial effects of the treatment. A total of 109 subjects with MCI were assigned to 1 of 5 study groups in a randomized controlled trial design: (a) face-to-face (FTF) VRRS during anodal tDCS followed by cognitive telerehabilitation (TR) (clinic-atDCS-VRRS+Tele@H-VRRS); (b) FTF VRRS during placebo tDCS followed by TR (clinic-ptDCS-VRRS+Tele@H-VRRS); (c) FTF VRRS followed by cognitive TR (clinic-VRRS+Tele@H-VRRS); (d) FTF VRRS followed by at-home unstructured cognitive stimulation (clinic-VRRS+@H-UCS); and (e) FTF cognitive treatment as usual (clinic-TAU). Results: An improvement in episodic memory was observed after the end of clinic-atDCS-VRRS (p < 0.001). We found no enhancement in episodic memory after clinic-ptDCS-VRRS or after clinic-TAU. Introduction: Metronomic oral cyclophosphamide (MOC) presents many potential advantages, such as significantly less severe side effects than standard regimens, ease of administration, and the delivery of a dose-dense but not necessarily dose-intense treatment. These observations prompted us to evaluate in a retrospective, multicenter study the efficacy and toxicity of MOC in a real-life series of pretreated cancer patients. Methods: The study is a multicenter, retrospective analysis of the activity of single-agent MOC in patients with recurrent or residual epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary. Eligible patients were continuously treated with MOC at 50 mg/day until progression, toxicity, or death. Overall response rate (ORR), stable disease (SD), and disease control rate (DCR) were reported. Results: The study included 62 patients. Three patients reached a complete response rate (5%), 11 had a partial response rate (18), and 15 had stabilization of disease (24) for an ORR of 23% and a DCR of 47%. Patients with low-grade indolent tumors showed an ORR and an SD rate higher than that observed in non-indolent ones (33% vs. 18% and 28% vs. 14%, respectively). Overall, progression-free survival was 3.5 months (range 1–9 months). Conclusion: Single-agent MOC is active and very well tolerated in a significant fraction of patients with refractory, recurrent, or residual epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. In the vision of a practical approach, single-agent MOC may be a useful palliative treatment option for patients with poor tolerance to high-dose regimens or widely pretreated. Disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) for multiple sclerosis (MS) reduce relapse frequency, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) activity, and slow disability progression. Numerous DMTs are approved for relapsing forms of MS although real-world data on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and quality of life (QoL) are needed to inform treatment choice. Immune reconstitution therapy with cladribine tablets is a highly effective treatment for relapsing MS (RMS). We present the protocol for an observational study to prospectively assess the effectiveness of cladribine tablets on clinical and MRI parameters as well as on PROs, including treatment satisfaction, QoL, sleep quality, self-perceived health, fatigue, and physical function. Enrolled patients at study sites in Italy will be adults with RMS (including relapsing-remitting and active secondary progressive MS) who are either treatment naïve or have received at least one firstline disease modifying DMT or no more than one second-line DMT. The primary objective will be change in global treatment satisfaction measured with the Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire for Medication Version 1.4 approximately 24 months after initiating cladribine tablets in patients switching from previous DMTs. Secondary objectives will include global treatment satisfaction at earlier timepoints, will comprise treatment naïve patients, and will quantify treatment effectiveness and tolerability. We will also assess relapses, disability progression, MRI activity, and other PROs at approximately 12 and 24 months. Selective mutism (SM) is an anxiety disorder that is characterized by a child's persistent inability to communicate verbally in some or all contexts of social life. It is often associated with other cognitive–affective disorders. Performing cognitive–behavioral assessments and psychological interventions can be challenging due to the difficulty in administering standardized neuropsychological tests and involving family and teachers in the intervention program. In a single case study, a young Filipina girl with SM underwent a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and received multimodal therapeutic intervention between the ages of 7 and 11. The psychological intervention included cognitive–behavioral psychotherapy to improve social–cognitive skills and learning abilities, reduce anxiety, and provide speech therapy. The parents and teachers were actively involved in the therapeutic process and a underwent a psycho-education program. Following this treatment, at the age of 11, the girl started verbalizing in therapy and school contexts, although she still used non-verbal strategies. There was also a gradual improvement in her communicative–linguistic skills and school learning. In conclusion, this report emphasizes the importance of applying an integrated and multimodal intervention to treat SM in children, including psychoeducation for parents and teachers. Background Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols are known to potentially improve the management and outcomes of patients undergoing colorectal surgery, with limited evidence of their implementation in hospital networks and in a large population. We aimed to assess the impact of the implementation of an ERAS protocol in colorectal cancer surgery in the entire region of Piemonte, Italy, supported by an audit and feedback (A&F) intervention. Methods A large, stepped wedge, cluster randomised trial enrolled patients scheduled for elective surgery at 29 general surgery units (clusters). At baseline (first 3 months), standard care was continued in all units. Thereafter, four groups of clusters began to adopt the ERAS protocol successively. By the end of the study, each cluster had a period in which standard care was maintained (control) and a period in which the protocol was applied (experimental). ERAS implementation was supported by initial training and A&F initiatives. The primary endpoint was length of stay (LOS) without outliers (>94th percentile), and the secondary endpoints were outliers for LOS, postoperative medical and surgical complications, quality of recovery and compliance with ERAS items. Results Of 2626 randomised patients, 2397 were included in the LOS analysis (1060 in the control period and 1337 in the experimental period). The mean LOS without outliers was 8.5 days during the control period (SD 3.9) and 7.5 (SD 3.5) during the experimental one. The adjusted difference between the two periods was a reduction of 0.58 days (95% CI -1.07, -0.09; p=0.021). The compliance with ERAS items increased from 52.4% to 67.3% (estimated absolute difference +13%; 95% CI 11.4%, 14.7%). Background: Hyperkalemia (HK) is frequently present in chronic kidney disease (CKD). Risk factors for HK among CKD patients include comorbidities and renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system inhibitor (RAASi) treatment. Current standard of care (SoC) often necessitates RAASi down-titration or discontinuation, resulting in poorer cardiorenal outcomes, hospitalization and mortality. This study evaluates the cost-effectiveness of patiromer for HK in CKD patients with and without heart failure (HF) in an Italian setting. Methods: A lifetime Markov cohort model was developed based on OPAL-HK to assess the health economic impact of patiromer therapy in comparison to SoC after accounting for the effects of HK and RAASi use on clinical events. Outcomes included accumulated clinical events, number needed to treat (NNT) and the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER). Subgroup analysis was conducted in CKD patients with and without HF. Results: Patiromer was associated with an incremental discounted cost of €4,660 and 0.194 quality adjusted life years (QALYs), yielding an ICER of €24,004. Per 1000 patients, patiromer treatment prevented 275 moderate/severe HK events, 54 major adverse cardiovascular event, 246 RAASi discontinuation and 213 RAASi up-titration/restart. Subgroup analysis showed patiromer was more effective in preventing clinical events in CKD patients with HF compared to those without; QALY gains were greater in CKD patients without HF versus those with HF (0.267 versus 0.092, respectively). Scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis results support base-case conclusions. Conclusion: Patiromer is associated with QALY gains in CKD patients with and without HF compared to SoC in Italy. Simple Summary: The prevalence of second neoplasms among patients with hairy cell leukemia (HCL) treated with cladribine is not negligible. Immunosuppression, high rate of cure, and aging may have a role in the pathogenesis of second cancers after HCL. We aimed to compare the risk of cancer between patients with HCL treated with cladribine and the general population. Concern has emerged about the prevalence of second cancers among patients with hairy cell leukemia (HCL) treated with purine analogs. We investigated 513 patients with HCL treated with cladribine over the last 30 years at 18 Italian centers and calculated their standardized incidence ratios (SIRs). We identified 24 patients with a second cancer diagnosed at a median time from treatment with cladribine of 59.9 months (range: 9.2–169.7 months). All patients with solid neoplasms presented with a limited-stage disease, except four cases of locally advanced cancer; multiple myeloma patients had a smoldering disease, while lymphoma patients had stage Ie and stage IV diseases. Response to therapy was complete in 19 cases; 1 patient is still receiving treatment for a relapsing bladder disease, while 2 patients progressed during treatment and died. These two patients died from unrelated causes: one from infection and one due to surgery complications. The median OS from HCL was 98.5 months (range: 38.4–409.2 months), while the median OS from second cancer was 27.6 months (range: 1–117.8 months). The SIR was 0.86 (95% CI: 0.54–1.30) for males and 1.13 (95% CI: 0.36–2.73) for females: no statistically significant differences were highlighted. Simple Summary: In situ/microinvasive adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix represents the majority of cervical glandular lesions and can be treated conservatively. In contrast to squamous lesions, approximately 15–20% of glandular disease may be HPV-negative and therefore associated with a worse prognosis. Furthermore, up to 4% of cases may show recurrence after three years of follow-up. Given the abovementioned risk, knowing the predictive factors of disease recurrence becomes crucial for post-treatment management. In the present study, HPV testing in follow-up was the best predictor for recurrences in women with in situ/microinvasive AC undergoing conservative treatment. So, its use in clinical practice is of pivotal importance. However, attention should be paid to non-high-risk HPV women in follow-up with non-usual-type histopathology, given that it seems to represent a sub-population at increased risk of recurrences. Objective: The present study aimed to assess long-term follow-up outcomes in women with in situ/microinvasive adenocarcinoma (AC) of the uterine cervix treated conservatively. Methods: Retrospective multi-institutional study including women with early glandular lesions and 5-year follow-up undergoing fertility-sparing treatment. Independent variables associated with recurrence were evaluated. Logistic regression analysis and Kaplan–Meier survival analysis with Logrank test were performed. Results: Of 269 women diagnosed with in situ/microinvasive AC, 127 participants underwent conservative treatment. During follow-up, recurrences were found in nine women (7.1%). The only factor associated with recurrence during follow-up was positive high-risk Human Papillomavirus (hr-HPV) testing (odds ratio 6.21, confidence interval 1.47–26.08, p = 0.012). HPV positivity in follow-up showed a recurrence rate of 21.7% against 3.8% in patients who were HPV-negative (p = 0.002, Logrank test). Among women with negative high-risk HPV tests in follow-up, recurrences occurred in 20.0% of non-usual-type histology vs. 2.1% of usual-type cases (p = 0.005). Conclusion: HPV testing in follow-up is of pivotal importance in women with early glandular lesions undergoing conservative treatment, given its recurrence predictive value. However, women who are high-risk HPV-negative in follow-up with non-usual-type histopathology may represent a sub-population at increased risk of recurrences. Traumatic brain injury is often accompanied by defects in hormone levels, caused by either peripheral gland dysfunctions or by an insufficient central stimulation of hormone production. The epidemiology of endocrinological defects after traumatic brain injury is quite well described, but the consequences of hormone defects are largely unknown, especially in paediatric patients undergoing neurological rehabilitation. Only one previous study reported on a cohort of 20 children with traumatic brain injury and found a low incidence of hormone defects and a correlation between some hormone levels and neurological recovery. In this study, we performed a retrospective chart review on patients affected by severe subacute traumatic brain injury. Their levels of cortisol, ACTH, IGF-1, TSH, free T4, free T3, and prolactin were collected and compared with reference ranges; we then used regression models to highlight any correlation among them and with clinical variables; last, we probed with regression models whether hormone levels could have any correlation with clinical and rehabilitation outcomes. We found eligible data from the records of 52 paediatric patients with markedly severe traumatic brain injury, as shown by an average GCS of 4.7; their age was 10.3 years, on average. The key results of our study are that 32% patients had low IGF-1 levels and in multiple regression models, IGF-1 levels were correlated with neurological recovery, indicating a possible role as a biomarker. Moreover, 69% of patients had high prolactin levels, possibly due to physical pain and high stress levels. Background. Breast cancer with about 2.3 million diagnoses and 685,000 deaths globally is the most frequent malignancy in the female population. Continuous research has led to oncological and reconstructive advances in the management of breast cancer, thus improving outcomes and decreasing patient morbidity. Nowadays, the submuscular expander and prosthesis (E/P) implant-based breast reconstruction (IBR) accounts for 73% of all reconstructions. Despite its widely accepted efficacy, the technique is not free from complications and up to 28% of cases require revision surgery for mechanical complications such as capsular contracture, implant displacement/rotation, and implant rupture. With this study, the authors report their experience in the management of E/P IBR revision surgery through the technique of Selective Capsulotomies (SCs) and Partial Capsulectomy (PC). Methods. A retrospective study was conducted on patients who had previously undergone E/P IBR and presented for revision reconstruction between January 2013 and May 2023 at the Department of Plastic Surgery of the University of Siena, Italy. Reasons for revision included capsular contracture, implant displacement/rotation, and implant rupture. Revision reconstructions involved SC and PC with implant replacement. Fat grafting was also considered. The complication rate was evaluated by analysis of patients' medical records. Patients' satisfaction with the treatment was assessed through a specific questionnaire. Results. 32 patients underwent revision surgeries. No early complication occurred. Recurrence rate was assessed at 19% with average follow-up of 59 months (range: 13–114 months). The average time between revision surgery and recurrence was 3 years (range: 1–6 years). 23 patients answered the questionnaire and were overall satisfied with the treatments (8.29/10). Conclusions. SC possibly associated to PC is a valuable option for E/P IBR revision surgery with minimal complications, reduced surgical trauma, short operating time, and relatively low recurrence risk. Simple Summary: This study was conducted to compare two endoscopic procedures for managing malignant gastric outlet obstruction. The first and most commonly used procedure is enteral stenting, which is safe, easy, and widely available. The second procedure, endoscopic ultrasound-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE), is more challenging, can result in severe adverse events, and requires specific skills. However, EUS-GE, which bypasses the tumor, could have some advantages in terms of the stent dysfunction rate. Our study found that stent dysfunction occurred more frequently after enteral stenting, while stent patency was longer after EUS-GE. However, the early clinical efficacy was comparable between the two procedures and was influenced by patients' performance status. This study suggests that the choice between these two techniques should be personalized based on several factors, including patients' prognosis and life expectancy, clinical success, and local expertise. Background: Endoscopic ultrasound-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE) using lumen apposing metal stent has emerged as a minimally invasive treatment for the management of malignant gastric outlet obstruction (mGOO). We aimed to compare EUS-GE with enteral stenting (ES) for the treatment of mGOO. Methods: Patients who underwent EUS-GE or ES for mGOO between June 2017 and June 2023 at two Italian centers were retrospectively identified. The primary outcome was stent dysfunction. Secondary outcomes included technical success, clinical failure, safety, and hospital length of stay. A propensity score-matching analysis was performed using multiple covariates. Results: Overall, 198 patients were included (66 EUS-GE and 132 ES). The stent dysfunction rate was 3.1% and 16.9% following EUS-GE and ES, respectively (p = 0.004). Using propensity score-matching, 45 patients were allocated to each group. The technical success rate was 100% for both groups. Stent dysfunction was higher in the ES group compared with the EUS-GE group (20% versus 4.4%, respectively; p = 0.022) without differences in clinical efficacy (p = 0.266) and safety (p = 0.085). A significantly shorter hospital stay was associated with EUS-GE compared with ES (7.5 ± 4.9 days vs. 12.5 ± 13.0 days, respectively; p = 0.018). Kaplan–Meier analyses confirmed a higher stent dysfunction-free survival rate after EUS-GE compared with ES (log-rank test; p = 0.05). Introduction: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are the gold standard when comparing treatment effectiveness, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies state a clear preference for such direct comparisons. When these are not available, an indirect treatment comparison (ITC) is an alternative option. The objective of this study was to assess the acceptance of ITC methods by HTA agencies across England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, using oncology cases for a homogeneous sample of HTA evaluations. Methods: The study was conducted on the PrismAccess database in May 2021 to retrieve HTA evaluation reports for oncology treatments for solid tumors, in which an ITC was presented. The analysis was restricted to HTA evaluation reports published between April 2018 and April 2021 in England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Identified HTA evaluation reports were screened and reviewed by two independent reviewers. For each ITC presented, the methodology and its acceptance by the HTA agency were analyzed. Results: Five hundred and forty-three HTA evaluation reports were identified, of which 120 (22%) presented an ITC. This proportion was the highest in England (51%) and lowest in France (6%). The overall acceptance rate of ITC methods was 30%, with the highest in England (47%) and lowest in France (0%). Network meta-analysis (NMA; 23%) was the most commonly used ITC technique, with a 39% acceptance rate overall, followed by Bucher ITC (19%; 43% acceptance rate) and matching-adjusted indirect comparison (13%; 33% acceptance rate). The most common criticisms of the ITC methods from HTA agencies related to data limitations (heterogeneity and lack of data; 48% and 43%, respectively) and the statistical methods used (41%). Conclusions: The generally low acceptance rate of ITC methods by HTA agencies in oncology suggests that, whilst in the absence of a direct comparison ITCs may provide relevant evidence, this evidence is not widely considered sufficient for the purpose of HTA evaluations. The perception of ITC methods for the purpose of HTA evaluations varies substantially between countries. There is a need for further clarity on the properties of ITC techniques and the assessment of their results as ITC methods continue to evolve quickly and further techniques may become available in the future. Simple Summary: Synchronous oligometastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) represents an intermediate state of metastatic disease with a limited number of metastases. It has been suggested that adding local radical treatment (LRT) in this setting may improve the survival outcomes, but there are no validated tools to better select those patients who are most likely to benefit from LRT. The presence of cachexia and sarcopenia at diagnosis seems to be linked to poorer outcomes in local or advanced NSCLC, but it is not clear if these factors can be used to guide the treatment decisions in oligometastatic NSCLC and to preclude a possible radical treatment in patients with baseline cachexia or sarcopenia. For this reason, we evaluated the impact of cachexia and sarcopenia on survival outcomes and toxicities in a group of patients with synchronous oligometastatic NSCLC on an intention-to-treat basis. Considering the different definitions of sarcopenia used among different studies, we used the Psoas Muscle Index (PMI) as a surrogate of sarcopenia. Progression-free survival was longer for patients without cachexia and sarcopenia compared to those with cachexia and/or sarcopenia. Among patients with advanced NSCLC, there is a group of patients with synchronous oligometastatic disease (sOMD), defined as a limited number of metastases detected at the time of diagnosis. As cachexia and sarcopenia are linked to poor survival, incorporating this information could assist clinicians in determining whether a radical treatment should be administered. In a retrospective multicenter study, including all patients with adequately staged (FDG-PET, brain imaging) sOMD according to the EORTC definition, we aimed to assess the relationship between cachexia and/or sarcopenia and survival. Of the 439 patients that were identified between 2015 and 2021, 234 met the criteria for inclusion and were included. The median age of the cohort was 67, 52.6% were male, and the median number of metastasis was 1. Forty-six (19.7%) patients had cachexia, thirty-four (14.5%) had sarcopenia and twenty-one (9.0%) had both. With a median follow-up of 49.7 months, median PFS and OS were 8.6 and 17.3 months, respectively. Moreover, a trend toward longer PFS was found in patients without cachexia and sarcopenia compared to those with cachexia and/or sarcopenia. In multivariate analysis, cachexia and sarcopenia were not associated with an inferior survival, irrespective of receiving radical treatment. High CRP was associated with inferior survival and could be a prognostic factor, helping the decision of clinicians in selecting patients who may benefit from the addition of LRT. However, despite the homogeneous definition of oligometastatic disease and the adequate staging, our subgroups were small. Simple Summary: Third-line or further treatments are rarely given to patients with refractory mCRC. In this regard, two noteworthy innovative therapy options, with varying toxicity profiles and statistically significant improvements in overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and disease control, are regorafenib (R) and trifluridine/tipiracil (T). This study is a subset analysis of a larger retrospective study that we have already published, with the aim of evaluating patient outcomes when R and T were administered in that order. The purpose of this analysis was to evaluate the relationship between survival outcomes and the first drug treatment duration (<3 months, 3 to <6 months, and ≥6 months) in patients who had received the regorafenib-to-trifluridine/tipiracil sequence or vice versa. Our substudy found that administering R three to six months prior to T can prolong both OS and PFS in comparison to the opposite sequence. Background: Patients with refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) rarely receive third-line or further treatment. In this context, regorafenib (R) and trifluridine/tipiracil (T) are two important novel therapeutic choices with statistically significant increases in overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and disease control, with different toxicity profiles. This study is a subgroup analysis of our larger retrospective study, already published, whose objective was to assess the outcomes of patients when R and T were given sequentially. Patients and Methods: The study involved thirteen Italian cancer centers on a 10-year retrospective observation (2012–2022). In this subgroup analysis, we focused our attention on the correlation between the first drug treatment duration (<3 months, 3 to <6 months and ≥6 months) and survival outcomes in patients who had received the sequence regorafenib-to-trifluridine/tipiracil, or vice versa. Results: The initial study included 866 patients with mCRC who received sequential T/R, or R/T, or T or R alone. This analysis is focused on evaluating the impact of the duration of the first treatment in the sequence on clinical outcomes (OS, PFS) and includes 146 and 116 patients of the T/R and R/T sequences, respectively. Based on the duration of the first drug treatment, subgroups for the T/R sequence included 27 patients (18.4%) who received T for <3 months, 86 (58.9%) treated for 3 to <6 months, and 33 (22.6%) treated for ≥6 months; in the reverse sequence (R as the first drug), subgroups included 18 patients (15.5%) who received their first treatment for <3 months, 62 (53.4%) treated for 3 to <6 months, and 35 (31.0%) treated for ≥6 months. In patients who received their first drug treatment for a period of 3 to <6 months, the R/T sequence had a significantly longer median OS (13.7 vs. 10.8 months, p = 0.0069) and a longer median PFS (10.8 vs. 8.5 months, p = 0.0003) than the T/R group. There were no statistically significant differences between groups with first drug treatment durations of <3 months and ≥6 months. Conclusions: Our analysis seems to suggest that the administration of R for a period of 3 to <6 months before that of T can prolong both OS and PFS, as compared to the opposite sequence. Background: Women represent less than 5% of the incarcerated population in Italy, with very limited data on HCV infection. Higher HCV seroprevalence and active infection rates have been described among incarcerated females in available studies. Our aim is to compare the prevalence and cascade of care of HCV between male and female populations in Italian penitentiaries. Methods: We conducted a multicentre, retrospective study comparing HCV seroprevalence, active infections, treatment, and SVR rates between female (Group A) and male (Group B) populations in Italian prison settings. Results: No significant differences were found between the two groups regarding PWIDs (p = 0.16), nor in people living with HIV (p = 0.35) or HBV co-infection (p = 0.36). HCV seroprevalence was higher in Group A (p = 0.002). There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups regarding active infections (p = 0.41). Both groups showed a low level of fibrosis, and the dominant genotype was 3a. Almost all patients underwent antiviral treatment. All treated patients achieved SVR12. Conclusions: Our findings illuminate the importance of recognizing and addressing gender differences in HCV seroprevalence within penitentiary settings. Moving forward, addressing the unique needs of incarcerated females and optimizing HCV care for all incarcerated individuals are essential steps in the pursuit of achieving HCV micro-elimination goals. Aim: The aim of this study is to generate empirical evidence, drawing from clinical records, with the goal of elevating the level of evidence supporting the nursing diagnosis (ND) of 'chronic pain'. Background: Chronic pain is a prevalent condition that affects all age groups. Patients often feel disbelieved about their pain perception, leading to adverse psychological effects, difficulty accessing healthcare and poor rehabilitation outcomes. Design: Retrospective descriptive study. Standards for Reporting Diagnostic Accuracy Studies guidelines were followed in this study. Methods: Data were extracted from Electronic Health Records (EHR) of patients admitted to the University Hospital of Perugia, Italy, between March 2016 and December 2022. The study sample comprised individuals without a specific medical diagnosis or high‐risk population. Out of 1,048,565 EHR, 43,341 clinical‐nursing diaries with the keyword 'pain' were identified, from which 283 clinical‐nursing notes were selected based on a keyword‐based retrieval technique and diagnostic definition for further analysis. Results: Our study findings support the diagnostic descriptors of the 'chronic pain' ND in clinical‐nursing diaries. We observed the presence of 9 out of 11 defining characteristics, 7 out of 10 related factors, 4 out of 8 at‐risk populations and 11 out of 17 associated conditions. Conclusions: The study validated diagnostic criteria for chronic pain and proposed 'haematological pathology' as a new associated condition. The findings were presented to the Diagnosis Development Committee of NANDA‐International for further review. However, limitations of the study prompted the need for further analysis using natural language processing and artificial neural network techniques. As a result, a new research direction using artificial intelligence (AI) tools was initiated. The CheckMate 238 randomised study demonstrated the relevant benefit in terms of recurrence-free survival (RFS) of nivolumab versus ipilimumab in resected stage IIIB-C or IV melanoma patients with a tolerable safety profile. From November 2018 to June 2019, 611 patients with stage III and IV resected melanoma were enroled to receive nivolumab as part of an Italian Expanded Access Programme (EAP). According to stages, 77% were stage III while 141 (23%) were stage IV with no evidence of disease (NED). Among stage III, 121 patients had IIIA (19.8%). After a median follow-up of 23 months, the RFS in the Intention-to-Treat (ITT) population was 76.6% at 1 year and 59.6% at 2 years; 1- and 2-year distant metastasis–free survival were 83.7% and 71.2%, respectively. The overall survival rate in the ITT population was 93.8% at 1 year and 85.5% at 2 years. No significant differences in RFS were observed according to BRAF status. Treatment-related adverse events of grades 3–4 occurred in 11.5% of patients. This paper reports the results of the Italian Nivolumab EAP in the adjuvant setting of stage III and IV NED melanoma patients. Our results confirm in a real-life setting the clinical activity and safety of nivolumab reported in the CheckMate238 registrative/pivotal. Background: Body image and psychosocial functioning represent central challenges during adolescence and early adulthood. Malocclusion, defined as an irregularity in the alignment of the teeth, is known to negatively influence psychological outcomes. The current study aimed to elucidate the role of malocclusion, together with age, gender, and dental class, in body image and psychological functioning. Methods: A total of 126 participants aged from 12 to 19 years old (mean: 15.87, SD: 2.35, female participants: 52.4%, male participants: 47.6%) were recruited. Participants were visited at the University Hospital of Messina, Italy, and completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Body Image Concern Inventory (I-BICI), and the Psychosocial Impact of Dental Aesthetics Questionnaire (PIDAQ). Results: Significant correlations were found between age, dental class, the BICI, and the PIDAQ. In particular, age showed a positive and significant correlation with PIDAQ—total score. The correlations between occlusal status and the BICI variables were all significant and positive. All correlations between occlusal status and the PIDAQ variables were all significant and positive, except for dental self-confidence. The correlations between the variables of the PIDAQ and BICI instruments were all significant and positive, except for dental self-confidence, where the directions were significant and negative. Moreover, age, gender, and occlusal status predicted BICI and PIDAQ scores. Age was a positive predictor for PIDAQ self-confidence, gender for BICI and PIDAQ total scores, along with dysmorphic symptoms, social impact, psychological impact, and aesthetic concerns. Several significant gender differences were highlighted by the analyses, with higher scores in the female group on all the BICI variables, except symptom interference, and all the PIDAQ variables, except dental self-confidence. Conclusions: Malocclusion appeared to play a central role in the psychological, representational, and psychosocial life of the participants. This research suggests that malocclusion and dental issues influence the psychological, representational, and psychosocial life of adolescents. Aim: Complex pressure injuries (PI) are a significant worldwide issue for the healthcare system and are prevalent in advanced illness populations. This paper aims to share the holistic management of complex PI in advanced dementia patient to achieve the best outcomes. Method: Mdm T, a 67 years lady with advanced dementia was admitted from a nursing home. She had diabetes mellitus, bullous pemphigoid and multiple pressure injuries. On admission, Mdm T's stage 4 sacral PI measured at 22x14x2cm, undermining 10-1 o'clock 2 cm, bone, ligaments visible with 60% full-thickness necrotic tissue, malodour, and heavy hemopurulent discharge. Scattered of skin erosion over periwound skin. Patient was tachycardia and febrile since one week ago. The goals of wound care manage ongoing infection, malodor, and excessive exudation. Wound bed preparation (TIME concepts) was adopted in wound management after comprehensive wound assessment. The approach of regular wound cleansing with the antimicrobial solution, autolytic debridement, and periodically conservative sharp wound debridement to remove bioburden and non-viable tissue--subsequently, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy initiated for short term to promote cell proliferation and enhance sacral wound contractions. Ciprofloxacin was started after two days on top of Augmentin to treat Pseudomonas infection. Results / Discussion: After 16 days, Mdm T's sacral wound shown vast improvement with 90% of pinkish granulation tissue, nil odour and with wound infection resolved. Mdm T's son feedback that patient shown subjective improvement to be able to interact with him by maintaining eye contact on his visits. Conclusion: It is indeed challenging to manage patient with multiple complex pressure injuries. This case demonstrated with access to specialized wound care nurse in inpatient palliative setting, it helps to improve the wound outcome and QoL for patients. Aim: The aim of the following paper strives at assessing the efficiency of the application of the TLC-NOSF (Technology Lipido- Colloid with Nano-Oligo-Saccharide Factor) wound dressings in patients with diabetic foot ulcer. Method: 40 patients with DFU of grade I and II (Wagner's classification) were selected for the study and randomized into two groups. The first group consisted of 20 patients (ulceration area: 4.5-7.1 cm2) who were treated by TLC-NOSF dressing, UrgoStart®, Poland). The second group comprised 20 patients (ulceration area 4,3-6,7 cm2) treated by silver foam dressing -- Biatain Ag Adhesive Foam Coloplast, Poland). All dressings were changed every two days until the wound was thoroughly healed. The changes in the wound area, which occurred every week, were calculated. Additionally, the pace of the healing process was also measured every day -- healing per day index (cm2/day). Results / Discussion: The results reveal that after five weeks of treatment, the ulcers healed in all patients, who belonged to the first group. Whereas, in the case of the second group, the ulcers healed after eight weeks of the treatment. Conclusion: Basing the analysis on the observations, the authors unanimously state that the application of Technology Lipido- Colloid with Nano-Oligo-Saccharide Factor wound dressing (TLC-NOFS), significantly contributes to the process of treating diabetic foot ulceration. Background: Constipation is a very frequent condition. Pharmacological treatment leads to the onset of complications in the long term. Aim: To study the effects of abdominal massage and bowel training combined with polyethene glycol compared with laxative alone. Researchers studied the frequency of evacuations, use of laxatives, appetite, and food intake of older persons. In addition, feasibility in the daily routine of nursing care was studied. Methods: A pilot, randomised controlled trial was conducted. Older people living in a facility for self-sufficient residents were enrolled and randomised to the intervention or control group. The massage was administered for 4 weeks. The stool type according to the Bristol Stool Form Scale and secondary outcomes were collected at baseline, before any massage session and at the end of the intervention. Findings: 32 participants were enrolled. Significant improvements were found in the number of evacuations, need for enemas, Bristol scores, appetite and food intake. Simple Summary: Treatment with cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor (CDK4/6i), has demonstrated significantly improved progression-free survival in patients with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative, advanced breast cancer, when used in combination with endocrine therapies. However, limited data exists on its cutaneous adverse events (AE). The aim of our retrospective study was to investigate the prevalence, types and management of cutaneous AE during CDK4/6i. 79 adult advanced breast cancer patients affected by 125 skin adverse events during treatment with CDK4/6i were recruited at eleven centers. The most frequent cutaneous reactions were pruritus (49/79 patients), alopecia (25/79), and ec-zematous lesions (24/79). We showed that skin reactions are usually mild in severity, and prompt management may limit the negative impact on patients, facilitating beneficial continuation of oncologic treatment. Background: The introduction of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CDK4/6i) was a great advance in therapeutics for patients with estrogen receptor+/human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER2) locally advanced and metastatic breast cancer. Despite the increasing use of these agents, their adverse drug-related events have not yet been fully characterized. We describe the spectrum of cutaneous adverse reactions occurring in advanced breast cancer patients treated with cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, analyzing types, severity, time to onset, and possible treatment outcomes. Methods: We performed a multicentric retrospective study including patients with advanced breast cancer who developed cutaneous lesions during treatment with CDK4/6i in the period from June 2020 to June 2021. Patients > 18 years were recruited at eleven onco-dermatology units located in Albania (1), Argentina (1), France (1), Greece (3), Italy (3), and Spain (2). We evaluated patients' epidemiological and clinical characteristics, types of cutaneous adverse events, their time to onset, and treatment outcomes. The severity of the skin reactions was assessed using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) version 5.0 score. Results: Seventy-nine patients (median age: 62.3 years; range 39–83 years) were included in the study, and, collectively, we recorded a total of 165 cutaneous adverse events during follow-up visits. The most frequent cutaneous reactions were pruritus (49/79 patients), alopecia (25/79), and eczematous lesions (24/79). Cutaneous toxicities were usually mild in severity (>65%) and occurred after a median of 6.5 months. Only four patients (5%) required treatment discontinuation due to the severity of the skin lesions. The majority of the skin reactions were managed with topical treatments. Conclusions: To the best of our knowledge, we present the largest case series of cutaneous adverse events developing in advanced breast cancer patients treated with CDK4/6i. We showed that cutaneous toxicities are usually mild in severity, and manageable with standard supportive care; however, in selected cases, they can lead to treatment discontinuation with possible implications for patients' clinical outcomes. Background: There are many different types of Leukodystrophies. Specifically, children with hypomyelination and congenital cataract syndrome (HCC) in addition to motor retardation development, hypotonia and progressive spastic paraplegia, associated with cerebellar ataxia and peripheral neuropathy, have early bilateral cataracts and intellectual disability as pathognomonic symptoms. HCC rehabilitation treatment is not well defined, but a significant amount of evidence in the literature has demonstrated the effectiveness of occupational therapy (OT) treatment in children with similar symptomatology. For this reason, the aim of this study was to describe the improvement in the autonomies and social participation of a child with HCC following OT treatment. Methods: A.E. was a 9-year-old child with HCC with severe intellectual disability. OT intervention lasted 3 months biweekly and each session lasted 45 min. Each session was divided into two parts: The first part aimed to increase the child's active involvement through activities; the second part involved training in Activities of Daily living (ADL). The outcome measures were: ABILHAND-Kids; Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory; Comprehensive OT Evaluation Scale; ADL and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living. Results: A.E.'s outcome measure reported an improvement from an autonomy standpoint and in the child's general activity participation; there was also an increase in A.E.'s interpersonal skills. Primary buried (BP) penis is describes as a small penis caused by a penile ligaments anomaly; it is unclear if a primary BP could reach a normal length. We selected 49 patients treated at our institution between 2015 and 2020 in order to post-operatively evaluate the SPL after one year. SPL was evaluated according to the PH Tanner staging system for pre-pubertal patients according to age-normalized values. A micropenis was detected if the SPL was below 2.5 SD. A normal SPL was found in thirty-two patients, eighteen were in PH Stage 1, four were in PH Stage 2, six were in PH Stage 3, and four were in PH Stage 5. Seventeen patients showed a reduced SPL; in seven of these (four in PH Stage 4 and three in PH Stage 5), their SPL was <2.5 ST. The difference in micropenis prevalence between the pre-pubertal and post-pubertal patients was significant (p = 0.038). A primary BP grows normally during the pre-pubertal period, where patients frequently showed a normal SPL, but it seems to be unable to reach a normal length in the higher PH stages, where the SPL is used to detect a micropenis. We suggest that a primary BP should be considered not as a simple defect of the penile ligaments and surrounding tissues, but as an incomplete manifestation of a micropenis due to a growth slowdown of the organ in late puberty. Background: A new Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) classification has been proposed, based also on COPD Assessment Test (CAT). Objectives: The aim of this large, multicenter, retrospective study was to determine the impact of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) on CAT items in individuals with COPD, GOLD group E, recovering from an exacerbation (ECOPD). As secondary aims, we evaluated whether gender, associated chronic respiratory failure (CRF), and age might influence results. Methods: Data of 2,213 individuals with available paired pre- and post-PR CAT were analyzed. Other common outcome measures were also assessed. Results: After PR, total CAT improved from 20.8 ± 7.8 to 12.4 ± 6.9 (p = 0.000), and 1,911 individuals (86.4%) reached the minimal clinically important difference (MCID). All CAT items improved significantly without any significant difference among them. However, item "confidence with disease" improved significantly more in males than in females (p = 0.009). Total CAT and six out of eight items improved significantly more in individuals with CRF than in those without (all p < 0.001). Total CAT and three items improved significantly more in younger than in older individuals (p = 0.023). Only presence of CRF was significantly associated with the probability of improving total CAT more than the MCID. Conclusion: In individuals with COPD, GOLD group E, recovering from ECOPD, PR improves all CAT items; however, gender, associated CRF and age may influence the effect size, suggesting the need to evaluate all items in addition to total CAT score. Simple Summary: Actinic keratosis (AK) is a premalignant skin lesion caused by chronic sun damage, which usually arises in older people on chronically sun-exposed areas of the body, such as the face, scalp, ears, neck, back of the forearms and hands. Actinic keratosis rarely occurs as a single lesion; most often it can involve multiple lesions in a field of cancerization. Since the AKs may progress to invasive squamous cell carcinoma, treatment of any AK regardless of clinical severity is strongly recommended. The goals of AK therapy are to eradicate clinical and subclinical lesions, prevent the progression into invasive squamous cell carcinoma, provide a good cosmetic outcome and reduce the risk of relapses. Multiple treatment options are available for this condition; however, no gold standard therapy has been established. A novel formulation of 4% 5-Fluorouracil with once daily application proved to be a highly effective and safe treatment for multiple actinic keratoses. Background: Actinic keratosis (AK) is one of the most common skin diseases, with a low risk of progression into invasive squamous cell carcinoma. We aim to assess efficacy and safety of a novel formulation of 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) 4% with once daily application for the treatment of multiple AKs. Methods: A pilot study was performed on 30 patients with a clinical and dermoscopic diagnosis of multiple AKs, enrolled between September 2021 and May 2022 at the Dermatology Departments of two Italian hospitals. Patients were treated with 5-FU 4% cream once daily for 30 consecutive days. The Actinic Keratosis Area and Severity Index (AKASI) was calculated before starting therapy, and at each follow-up, to assess objective clinical response. Results: The cohort analyzed included 14 (47%) males and 16 (53%) females (mean age: 71 ± 12 years). A significant decrease in AKASI score at both 6 and 12 weeks (p < 0.0001) was observed. Only three patients (10%) discontinued therapy, and 13 patients (43%) did not report any adverse reactions; no unexpected adverse events were observed. Conclusions: In the setting of topical chemotherapy and immunotherapy, the new formulation of 5-FU 4% proved to be a highly effective treatment for AKs and field cancerization. Objectives: Bronchiolitis remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children under 24 months. During the first year of the pandemic, non-pharmacological interventions resulted in a significant reduction of bronchiolitis cases. Early in 2021, a rebound of bronchiolitis was reported with a description of out-of-season outbreaks. In this study, we prospectively evaluated the impact of bronchiolitis in two Italian University centers located in different geographical areas, aiming to compare two post-pandemic bronchiolitis seasons (2021/22 and 2022/23) in terms of severity, outcomes, microbiology and temporal distribution. Methods: This was a bicentric prospective observational cohort study. All consecutive children under 24 months of age assessed in the participating institutions during the specified seasons and receiving a clinical diagnosis of bronchiolitis were included. Results: A total of 900 patients were enrolled. Patients in the second season were globally younger and had comorbidities less often. Temporal distribution changed between the two seasons. Of the patients, 56% were tested for RSV; 60% of these was positive. Patients with RSV were globally younger (3.5 months vs. 4.9, p < 0.001), more often had a need for any kind of respiratory and fluid support and more often needed ward or PICU admission. At the end of the ED visit, 430 patients were discharged home, 372 (41.3%) were admitted to an inpatient ward and 46 (5.1%) to a pediatric intensive care unit. Purpose. In modern breast cancer treatment, a growing role has been observed for breast reconstruction together with an increase in clinical indications for postmastectomy radiotherapy (PMRT). Choosing the optimum type of reconstructive technique is a clinical challenge. We therefore conducted a national multicenter study to analyze the impact of PMRT on breast reconstruction. Methods. We conducted a retrospective case-control multicenter study on women undergoing breast reconstruction. Data were collected from 18 Italian Breast Centres and stored in a cumulative database which included the following: autologous reconstruction, direct-to-implant (DTI), and tissue expander/immediate (TE/I). For all patients, we described complications and surgical endpoints to complications such as reconstruction failure, explant, change in type of reconstruction, and reintervention. Results. From 2001 to April 2020, 3116 patients were evaluated. The risk for any complication was significantly increased in patients receiving PMRT (aOR, 1.73; 95% CI, 1.33–2.24; p < 0.001). PMRT was associated with a significant increase in the risk of capsular contracture in the DTI and TE/I groups (aOR, 2.24; 95% CI, 1.57–3.20; p < 0.001). Comparing type of procedures, the risk of failure (aOR, 1.82; 95% CI, 1.06–3.12, p = 0.030), explant (aOR, 3.34; 95% CI, 3.85–7.83, p < 0.001), and severe complications (aOR, 2.54; 95% CI, 1.88–3.43, p < 0.001) were significantly higher in the group undergoing DTI reconstruction as compared to TE/I reconstruction. Conclusion. Our study confirms that autologous reconstruction is the procedure least impacted by PMRT, while DTI appears to be the most impacted by PMRT, when compared with TE/I which shows a lower rate of explant and reconstruction failure. The investigation of this observational case–control study aimed at determining the effectiveness of a combined treatment of extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF) with a soft elastic knee brace versus ELF alone in knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with respect to a reduction in pain and functional recovery. We hypothesized that the combined use of ELF and a soft elastic knee brace may provide better results. Thirty-five patients (N = 35, divided into Group 1 = ELF and Group 2 = ELF with the soft elastic knee brace) were analyzed. The rehabilitative protocol consisted of 10 sessions of antiphlogistic and antiedema programs (first cycle) for 2 weeks, followed by twelve sessions of bone repair and connective tissue repair programs (second cycle) in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) for 4 weeks. Patient evaluations were conducted at baseline (T0) and after 2 (T1) and 4 (T2) weeks of treatment. A follow-up evaluation was conducted 6 weeks after treatment (T3). The LIMFA© Therapy System was used to create multifrequency magnetoelectric fields with an intensity of 100 µT and a low-frequency field. The Incrediwear Cred 40 knee sleeve (Incred) was used for alleviating knee pain. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), and the Lysholm score (Ls) were used as outcome measures. The results showed that pain at rest (Vr), pain in motion (Vm), KOOS, and Ls were significantly affected by ELF over time. Aim: The upper jaw transverse deficit is certainly one of the most common clinical issues in the orthodontic field. It can be due to skeletal or dental factors, and its etiology may be both genetic and environmental. Rapid maxillary expanders (RMEs) are certainly the most effective appliance for upper transverse deficiency correction. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes that occurred in the mandibular arch during treatment with RMEs in growing subjects by analyzing tridimensional lower digital casts. Materials and Methods: The study group (SG) consisted of 20 subjects (10 M, 10 F; mean age 9.4 ± 2.8 years old) randomly selected at the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Rome, "Tor Vergata". The inclusion criteria were negative posterior transverse interarch discrepancy ≥ 4 mm, mixed dentition phase with first permanent molars erupted, and prepubertal skeletal maturation stage (CS1-2), evaluated on a lateral radiograph through the Cervical Vertebral Maturation method. The SG was compared to an untreated control group (CG) of 20 subjects (10 M, 10 F, mean age 8.7 ± 2.3 years old) enrolled with the same inclusion criteria. The SG was treated by using RMEs. Dental casts of the lower arch were taken at two different times (T0–T1 = 6 months). All the dental casts were scanned with an OrthoXscan (Dentaurum 6mmbh E Co., Ispringen, Germany) and twenty points on the mandibular arch were digitized using Viewbox software. A Student t-test was used to compare the means of the quantitative variables associated with the effect of the device over time T0 and T1. Results: The results show a statistically significant increase (p < 0.05) in the intercanine and the intermolar diameters between the times T0 and T1 when compared to the CG. Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a pediatric hyperinflammatory syndrome related to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection whose epidemiology is not very well known at present. The objective of the study was to better understand the incidence of MIS-C in the Apulia region in southern Italy. Our primary goal was to estimate the incidence of newly identified cases of MIS-C in children aged 0–18 years, during a period of six months, encompassing the second pandemic wave. We also analyzed the characteristics of our cohort in terms of clinical features, treatment, and outcomes. The cumulative incidence of MIS-C was 3.27 per 100,000 residents between 0 and 18 years of age. In our cohort, gastrointestinal, mucocutaneous, and cardiac involvement were the most common clinical features. With our step-up approach to therapy, no patients required intensive care unit (ICU) admission and no cardiac sequelae after 6 months of onset were found in echocardiograms. Background: Benign Prostatic Obstruction (BPO) is the most common non-malignant urological condition among men and its incidence rise with age. Among prostate treatments, GreenLight laser seems to reduce bleeding and would be safer in the aging population. Aims: We aimed to compare the functional outcomes and safety profile of < 75 years old (Group A) and ≥ 75 years old (Group B) patients. Methods: In a multicenter setting, we retrospectively analyzed all the patients treated with GreenLight Laser vaporization of the prostate (PVP). Results: 1077 patients were eligible for this study. 757 belonged to Group A (median age 66 years) and 320 to Group B (median age 78 years). No differences were present between the two groups in terms of prostate volume, operative time, hospital stay, PSA decrease over time after surgery, complications and re-intervention rate with a median follow-up period of 18 months (IQR 12–26). Nevertheless, focusing on complications, GreenLight laser PVP demonstrated an excellent safety profile in terms of hospital stay, re-intervention and complications, with an overall 29.6% complication rate in older patients and only two cases of Clavien III. Functional outcomes were similar at 12 month and became in favor of Group A over time. These data are satisfactory with a Qmax improvement of 111.7% and an IPSS reduction of 69.5% in older patients. Discussion and conclusions: GreenLight laser photoselective vaporization of the prostate is a safe and efficient procedure for all patients, despite their age, with comparable outcomes and an equal safety profile. Background: In 2016, we performed a one-day investigation to analyze the prevalence of pain, pain intensity, and pain therapy in the Departments of Surgery and Onco-Hematology of the Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù. To improve the knowledge gap highlighted in the previous study, refresher courses and even personalized audits have been carried out during these years. The purpose of this study is to evaluate if, after 5 years, there have been improvements in the management of pain. Methods: The study was conducted on 25 January 2020. Pain assessment, pain therapies, pain prevalence and intensity in the preceding 24 h and during the recovery period were recorded. Pain outcomes were compared with previous audit results. Results: Out of the 63 children with at least one documented pain assessment (starting from 100 eligible), 35 (55.4%) experienced pain: 32 children (50.7%) experienced moderate /severe pain while 3 patients (4%) felt mild pain. In the preceding 24 h, 20 patients (31.7%) reported moderate/severe pain while 10 (16%) reported moderate or severe pain during the interview. The average value of the Pain Management Index (PMI) was − 1.3 ± 0.9 with a minimum of -3 and a maximum of 0. 28 patients (87%) undergoing analgesic therapy for moderate/severe pain had a PMI of less than 0 (undertreated pain), while 3 patients (13%) scored value of 0 or higher (adequate pain therapy), 4 patients (12.5%) received multimodal analgesia with opioids and 2 patients (6%) opioids alone. Time-based therapy was prescribed to 20 patients (62.5%), intermittent therapy was prescribed to 7 patients (22%) and 5 patients (15.5%) did not receive any therapy. The prevalence of pain was higher during hospitalization and 24 h before the interview, while at the time of the interview, the proportion was the same. In this audit, the daily prescription modality of the therapy had some improvements (time-based: 62.5% vs. 44%; intermittent: 22%vs 25%; no therapy: 15.5% vs. 31%). Conclusion: Pain management in hospitalized children constantly requires special daily attention from health professionals aimed at mitigating the components of intractable pain and resolving those of treatable pain. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of two different therapies on oral lichen planus (OLP) treatment through the analysis of OLP symptoms and signs and to analyze the risk of side effects related to the adopted protocols. Methods: Thirty‐eight patients with OLP were selected according to van der Meij and van der Waal clinical and histopathological criteria. Through a randomized design, 19 patients received Tacrolimus 0.1% ointment (T group) and 19 an anti‐inflammatory mouthwash (M group) composed of calcium hydroxide 10%, hyaluronic acid 0.3%, umbelliferone, and oligomeric proanthocyanidins. The patients were examined on a regular basis for OLP symptoms, signs, and disease severity score changes over a 3‐month follow‐up period. Results: Both treatments were effective in the reduction of OLP signs and symptoms. However, at 3 months (T3), in comparison with the M group, T group patients showed significantly lower mean values of OLP signs (p = 0.035), symptoms (p = 0.045), and disease severity scores (p = 0.041). Moreover, the Spearman test showed that there was a significant correlation between OLP signs and symptoms at each follow‐up session in all patients. Conclusions: Both treatments demonstrated a significant approach to control OLP. However, tacrolimus determined a more effective improvement in OLP signs and symptoms compared to anti‐inflammatory mouthwash at 3‐month follow‐up. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
