Thermal management of fuel cell vehicles is posing a constant challenge due to the growing installed power of the fuel cell stack and consequent heat-overloaded situations of the radiator. Based on the "time-dependent" idea that considers the fluctuated heat generation and the intermittent heat peak during the journey, a novel thermal management system that employs a heat-peak regulator is proposed in the present work. The heat-peak regulator is a thermal accumulator filled with phase-change material that separately exchanges heat with the fuel cell coolant and the air conditioner refrigerant. It temporarily receives the excess heat that cannot be released out by the radiator when the heat peak occurs; later on, when the heat peak is gone, the heat is transferred to the refrigerant to remove it from the condenser. The system simulations based on the developed thermal models demonstrate that, the thermal runaway of the fuel cell stack can be eliminated or effectively weakened by this novel thermal management system, relying on the amount of the phase-change material filling the heat-peak regulator. In the present study, the 135 s and 250 s thermal runaway durations can be shortened to 0 s and 105 s, respectively, in the standardized New European Driving Cycle and World-wide Harmonized Light Duty Test Cycle under 38 °C summer weather, and the maximum temperature for the latter can be reduced from 89 °C to 83 °C. Carteolol is a commonly-used topical medication for primary open-angle glaucoma. However, long-term and frequent ocular application of carteolol entails its residuals at low concentration in the aqueous humor for a long duration and may exert latent toxicity in the human corneal endothelial cells (HCEnCs). Here, we treated the HCEnCs in vitro with 0.0117% carteolol for 10 days. Thereafter, we removed the cartelolol and normally cultured the cells for 25 days to investigate the chronical toxicity of carteolol and the underlying mechanism. The results exhibited that 0.0117% carteolol induces senescent features in the HCEnCs, such as increased senescence-associated β-galactosidase positive rates, enlarged relative cell area and upregulated p16INK4A and senescence-associated secretory phenotypes, including IL-1α, TGF-β1, IL-10, TNF-α, CCL-27, IL-6 and IL-8, as well as decreased Lamin B1 expression and cell viability and proliferation. Thereby, further exploration demonstrated that the carteolol activates β-arrestin–ERK–NOX4 pathway to increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) production that imposes oxidative stress on energetic metabolism causing a vicious cycle between declining ATP and increasing ROS production and downregulation of NAD+ resulting in metabolic disturbance-mediated senescence of the HCEnCs. The excess ROS also impair DNA to activate the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway of ATM–p53–p21WAF1/CIP1 with diminished poly(ADP-Ribose) polymerase (PARP) 1, a NAD+-dependent enzyme for DNA damage repair, resulting in cell cycle arrest and subsequent DDR-mediated senescence. Based on the minimum energy principle, a theoretical model was presented to analyze the process of a droplet spreading on the surface of Salvinia reaching a steady state. Combined with numerical simulations, it was found that the superhydrophobicity and compressive stability of the Salvinia were dependent on the morphological and geometric parameters of the microstructure (edge angle φ , number of branching n , width W and spacing D , etc.). By adjusting these geometrical parameters, the surface of the biomimetic structure can maintain a stable Cassie state at 0.63 kPa pressure, and the apparent contact angle is controllable in the range of 121°−169.8°. Today, a directional wireless multimedia sensor network is a popular environment for solving the task assignment problem. Achieving long‐term frontal monitoring of moving objects is a crucial challenge for scholars in this field. Utilizing directional sensors equipped with energy harvesting is an effective technique to enhance network performance. In this way, the energy of nodes is no longer limited to batteries and can result in better frontal monitoring. In this method, each sensor categorizes tasks based on its own energy, allowing the determination of task execution nodes through bidding. The present study proposes a distributed algorithm for directional task assignment, EN‐DADA, based on energy harvesting. The task was first classified to determine the candidate node set that could execute the task, and then the task assignment was determined according to the monitoring income of each node in the candidate node set. In field of drug delivery, graphene is a potential material as drug carrier due to its large specific surface area and excellent chemical stability. Many kinds of drug molecules can be adsorbed on graphene surface through single or multiple benzene ring structures in drug molecules. Graphene loaded with drug molecules needs to be transported to the lesion site through blood. The content of water molecules in blood accounts for 92%. Therefore, the influence of water molecule on adsorption performance cannot be ignored. Here, the influence and mechanism of water molecule on the adsorption properties between benzene molecule and graphene is studied. The adsorption models of benzene molecule on graphene surface in vacuum and water environments are established, respectively. The adhesion energy, adhesion force and stable adsorption position of benzene molecule in two environments are analyzed by molecular dynamics simulation and potential function theory. Moreover, a model of preadsorption of a single water molecule on graphene surface is further presented, which explains the reason of the difference in adsorption performance in vacuum and water environment from the perspective of energy. It is important to measure in-plane conductivity of Nafion membrane for fuel cell, but this target is generally inhibited by measuring system with heterogeneous interfaces and immature electrochemical measurements. This paper simply used water media to establish stable measuring system with metal electrode and Nafion membrane, representing system as equivalent circuit. Our equivalent circuit was validated by both cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements, also clarified connection and difference in two measurements. This electrochemistry breakthrough helps realize measuring system completely and reliably even under successive temperature cycles, providing circuit elements for kinetic analysis in contact resistance, in-plane conductivity, inactive and active proton. We also clarified that the inactive and active proton shift can dictate low frequency inductance, which is an important sign for active and stable operation in fuel cell, secondary battery and materials. This study aims to explore the morphology of void and compressive performances of CNTs-reinforced filament-wound risers under axial compressive loading. The porosity morphology and distribution induced by the filament winding process were measured and analyzed, revealing a transition from nearly circular to elongated voids with gradual growth in the size of the individual void as the winding angle increased. Failure modes of composite risers were comprehensively discussed to understand the progressive failure process and load-bearing capacity. The results indicated that failure mechanisms of composite risers mainly manifest as initial resin splitting at the end of the structure, cracks growing in the interwoven region and local buckling at the end of the structure, and local asymmetric buckling as winding angle increased. While the addition of CNTs enhances the brittleness of the substrate and leads to an increased probability of debonding and delamination. Furthermore, the experiment results demonstrate that the energy absorption capacity can be generally improved at larger winding angles for the composite riser with 3% and 5% of CNTs volume content. Temperature-dependent material attrition and subsurface lattice damage of single-crystal AlN at various scratching depths/forces are investigated at atomic level using molecular dynamics simulation. An ultimate removal precision of depth down to monolayer of AlN is achieved based on the present temperature-dependent critical conditions. The number of worn atoms, positively influenced by temperature due to the reduction of hardness, increases exponentially with increasing normal force in the plastic domain. Archard-type wear coefficient K values calculated at different temperatures increase linearly with normal force, and the slope is independent of temperature. • Compressive properties of 3D graphene are studied by theory and MD simulations. • The unified constitutive relations of three kinds of 3D graphene are derived. • Compressive deformation mechanisms of three kinds of 3D graphene are discussed. • The configuration-property relationships of 3D graphene are elucidated. • Energy absorption capacities of three kinds of 3D graphene are analyzed. Combining molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and continuum modeling, the uniaxial in-plane compressive properties of honeycomb three-dimensional (h3D), triangle-like 3D (t3D) and non-equilateral hexagon 3D (nh3D) graphene are investigated to elucidate configuration-property relationships, and the constitutive relations of three kinds of 3D graphene are derived to evaluate the compressive mechanical properties. Based on theoretical and MD simulation results, it is found that the compressive stress-strain responses of 3D graphene can be divided into five stages. The compressive mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of each stage are different. When 3D graphene is compressed, graphene sidewalls undergo rotations, bending and buckling deformations, collapses. Because graphene sidewalls of h3D graphene are prone to undergo buckling deformations, there is large locking strain in h3D graphene. For t3D and nh3D graphene, their high plateau stress is attributed to unique configurations. Moreover, we also find that with increasing graphene sidewall width, Young's modulus and plateau stress of 3D graphene gradually decrease. In addition to the above investigations, the energy absorption mechanisms and compression-unloading stress-strain curves of 3D graphene are also studied. It is found that there are extraordinary compression-recovery properties and energy absorption capacities in 3D graphene. Finally, the selection criteria of 3D graphene are proposed. In this study, the probe response of a cavity optomechanical system with periodic modulation of the optomechanical coupling is investigated. The modulation arises from the beat effect between two external coherent driving lights, with the beat frequency matching the modulation frequency. The transmission coefficient is derived for the probe field and significant amplification, rather than absorption in the conventional optomechanically induced transparency schemes, is observed near the transparent point when the modulation is introduced. By slotting an inlet at the head of the aerodisk, a channel through the spike, and the lateral jet outlet at the middle of the spike, the blunt body with spike-aerodisk can further reduce its aeroheating and drag. In this paper, the numerical simulation method was used to analyze the flow field structure of this spike-aerodisk-channel, the effects of the spike length, the aerodisk diameter, and the channel diameter on the drag and aeroheating performance of this spike-aerodisk-channel configuration were studied. In general, the lateral jet introduced by the channel from the stagnation region of the aerodisk leads to the shear layer separation in advance, pushes the separation shock away from the spike, enlarges the recirculation zone near the blunt body, avoids the interaction between the separation shock and the reattachment shock, increases the distance from the reattachment shock to the surface of the blunt body. The reattachment shock strength of the blunt body is weakened. With increased spike length and channel diameter, drag and aeroheating reduction are improved. With the increase of the diameter of the aerodisk, the aeroheating performance is improved, but the drag reduction performance continues to decline. Compared with the plain spike-aerodisk, the spike-aerodisk-channel is generally conducive to further drag and aeroheating reduction. In the range of research parameters, considering the effect of drag and aeroheating reduction and the structural feasibility, the spike-aerodisk-channel has the best drag and aeroheating reduction performance when the spike length is twice the blunt-body diameter, the ratio of the aerodisk diameter to the blunt-body diameter is 0.3, and the ratio of the channel diameter to the blunt-body diameter is 0.075. Compared with the plain spike-aerodisk of the same size, the aeroheating reduction efficiency is increased by 37.9%, and the drag reduction efficiency is increased by 16.0%. • Drag and aeroheating reduction mechanism of the spike-aerodisk and channel concept under hypersonic conditions was investigated by the numerical simulation. • Three influence factors were analyzed and compared comprehensively. • Combined spike-aerodisk and channel concept is a promising drag and aeroheating reduction technique. Background: Human hydatid disease typically occurs in organs such as the liver and kidney. Primary solitary intramuscular hydatid disease, however, is rare. Case Presentation: We report a case of a giant muscle hydatid in the lower extremity, with neurological symptoms as the first manifestation. The symptoms specifically manifested as intermittent pain in the right lower extremity and numbness in the sole of the right foot. However, there were no obvious abnormalities detected in electromyography and lumbar MRI. Subsequent ultrasonography and calf MRI showed that the patient had cystic lesions in the calf. The patient was initially diagnosed with a muscle hydatid cyst. Treatment involved complete surgical excision of the lesion, and the diagnosis of a hydatid cyst was confirmed through macroscopic and microscopic histopathological examination after the mass was excised. The patient was given oral albendazole, and no recurrence was observed during the 12 months of follow-up. Conclusions: This case underscores the need to consider hydatid disease when diagnosing soft tissue masses in muscles, particularly in endemic areas. Anoikis is a unique form of apoptosis associated with vascularization and distant metastasis in cancer. Eliminating anoikis resistance in tumor cells could be a promising target for improving the prognosis of terminal cancer patients. However, current studies have not elaborated on the prognosis effect of anoikis-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in cutaneous melanoma. Pre-processed data, including RNA sequences and clinical information, were retrieved from TCGA and GTEx databases. After a series of statistical analyses, anoikis-related lncRNAs with prognostic significance were identified, and a unique risk signature was constructed. Risk scores were further analyzed in relation to the tumor microenvironment, tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion, immune checkpoint genes, and RNA methylation genes. The indicators were also used to predict the potentially sensitive anti-cancer drugs. An anoikis-related lncRNAs risk signature consisting of LINC01711, POLH-AS1, MIR205HG, and LINC02416 was successfully established in cutaneous melanoma. Overall survival and progression-free survival of patients were strongly linked with the risk score, independently of other clinical factors. The low-risk group exhibited a more beneficial immunological profile, was less affected by RNA methylation, and was more sensitive to the majority of anti-cancer drugs, all of which indicated a better prognostic outcome. In this paper, to achieve ultra-wideband radar cross section (RCS) reduction, a coding phase gradient metasurface (CPGM) is proposed by using Pancharatnam-Berry (P-B) phase. The CPGM is composed of eight types of CPGM elements, and a series of phase gradients with different directions or starting-values will be introduced in these types of CPGM elements under the same EM-wave incidence, so it can not only achieve anomalous reflection to reduce its specular RCS but also reduce the maximum bi-static RCS due to phase cancelation. The simulation results demonstrate that the CPGM has an excellent performance in RCS reduction, compared with a pure metallic plate with the same size, its specular RCS under normal incidence with arbitrary polarization can be reduced more than 10 dB in the ultra-wide frequency band of 8.8–34.8 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 119.3%, and its maximum bi-static RCS can also be reduced effectively in the ultra-wide frequency band; moreover, when the incident angle is increased to 45°, the RCS reduction can still be achieved in an ultra-wide frequency band. In this study, we investigated the effect of addition of citrus fiber (CF; 5% and 10%, which consists mainly of soluble pectin and insoluble cellulose) on physical properties and microstructure of meat analogs based on soy protein isolate and wheat gluten using high‐moisture extrusion. Layered structure or microstructure of meat analogs was observed by scanning electron microscope and confocal laser scanning microscope. Compared to the control (without CF), meat analogs with CF addition showed disorder layered microstructure, which was interconnected with smaller fibers. Rheological measurements (strain sweep and frequency sweep) show that the incorporation of CF resulted in meat analogs with softer texture. The moisture content of meat analogs increased significantly upon the addition of CF, which was also correlated with juiciness. Sensory evaluation and dynamic salt release results confirm that the saltiness of meat analogs with CF addition was enhanced due to the structural changes of phase‐separated structures, achieving salt reduction by 20% and showing a saltiness similar to the control sample. This research provides a novel approach to modulate the saltiness perception of meat analogs by modifying the phase separation of protein/polysaccharides. Practical Application: Citrus fiber is added to the plant protein matrix to prepare meat analogs with high moisture content and enhanced saltiness perception via modifying the phase separation of protein/polysaccharides. This work provided a potential target for the meat industry to produce the meat analogs with less salt intake. Additive manufacturing has flourished as an advanced technique to process metals and alloys. However, this strategy usually introduces undesired defects that deteriorates the mechanical performance of structural materials. Herein laser shock peening (LSP) is proposed as an efficient strengthening approach to reshape the surface morphology of a prototypical dual-phase AlCoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy (HEA) after additive manufacturing, in which remarkable strengthening is achieved. Combined electron back scatter diffraction and transmission electron microscope characterizations reveal that the mechanical enhancement is attributed to the grain refinement and accumulation of dislocations at the impact surface. In extreme condition of LSP, the grain refinement is not accommodated by the conventional dynamic recrystallization anymore, but a novel mechanism of parental columnar grain rotation which can be rationalized by a continuum-level theory from a geometrical perspective. The new mechanism is verified by large-scale atomistic simulations which further recognizes the critical role of multiple unstable dislocation slip and amorphization in formation of smaller grains under shock. Our strategy offers a promising pathway toward polishing morphology of HEAs and thus, prohibiting the potential intrinsic defected induced-mechanical degradation of the additively manufactured metals and alloys via novel microscopic mechanism. • TC insertion and LTR are the main variants in yellow-fleshed peaches. • LTR identified in Prunus ferganensis leads to yellow-fleshed fruits. • LTR identified in Prunus ferganensis anticipate than LTR in Prunus persica. Yellow/white-fleshed color, one of the most important traits of peach (Prunus persica (L.) Batsch.), is closely related to the mutation of the PpCCD4. Although three mutations have been identified in the PpCCD4 gene leading to yellow flesh peaches, it is still intriguing whether a new mutation mechanism exists. Here, we genotyped 335 haplotypes of the yellow-fleshed peach (Y) locus from around the world and found that a transposable element (TE) insertion in Prunus ferganensis (Kost. & Riab) Kov.& Kost, resulted in nonsense mutation in PfCCD4. We performed transient overexpression experiments on ripening fruit and confirmed that the LTR2 in the PfCCD4 exon produced a phenotype different from that of PfCCD4. By Illumina and Nanopore sequencing, we obtained genomic information of the homozygous insertion on the cultivar 'Xinjiang Huangrou', got the sequence and position of the variant, and further confirmed that the insertion is an LTR-type(Long terminal repeats) transposon (named LTR2), which is more ancient than the previously reported insertion, indicating that Prunus ferganensis may be one of the sources of the yellow flesh peach variation. The differentially expressed miRNAs mainly enriched in 325 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways. Target genes associated with co-differentially expressed genes among the group of SH, SQ, and NC mainly enriched in 66 KEGG pathways. LncRNA-miRNA-mRNA interactions, including 15 lncRNAs, 63 miRNAs and 57 mRNAs, was constructed. CircRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA network included 79 circRNAs, 21 miRNAs, and 49 mRNAs. Among them, KLRC2 and CSTF1, targeted by miR-125b, participated in cell-mediated immunity regulation. MiR-320-related circRNAs and SATB1-AS1 serving as the sponge of miRNAs, such as has-circ-0129245, has-circ-0138746, and has-circ-0139786, were hub genes in ceRNA network. Tyrosol is one of the main polyphenol compounds in white wine and extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), which plays an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory role in vitro. In the present study, we investigated the possible anti-inflammatory mechanism of tyrosol in Escherichia coli (ETEC)-induced diarrhea in mice. ICR mice were randomly divided into control group, ETEC group, and ETEC + Tyrosol group with 10 mice in each group. In addition to the control group, a bacterial diarrhea model was induced in mice by continuous administration of 0.2 ml × 109 CFU/ml ETEC. After 7 days, the ETEC + Tyrosol group was given tyrosol (20 mg/kg) once a day by gavage, during which the body weight of mice and the degree of diarrhea were measured daily. On the 15th day, all animals in this experiment were sacrificed, colon tissue was collected, and colon length was recorded. Our results indicate that tyrosol significantly attenuated the extent of ETEC-induced diarrhea, including inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokine, repair of the intestinal epithelial mechanical barrier, and significant inhibition of NF-κB activation. Many studies have shown that both the nanotwinned structure and the graphene reinforcing phase can improve the mechanical properties of aluminum, but the synergistic effect of the two on the strengthening and toughening mechanisms of aluminum matrix composites has rarely been reported. In this work, the mechanical properties and microscopic deformation mechanisms of graphene/nanotwinned aluminum matrix composites under uniaxial tensile load are studied by molecular dynamics simulations. The effects of the distribution patterns of graphene and twin boundaries (TBs), their angles and the number of graphene layers on the mechanical behaviors of graphene/nanotwinned aluminum matrix composites are analyzed. It is found that the synergistic effect of TBs and graphene results in secondary reinforcement of aluminum matrix composites in the plastic stage, resulting in enhanced strength and toughness. Moreover, the elastic modulus, strength and toughness of graphene/nanotwinned aluminum matrix composites increase linearly with the number of graphene layers. By analyzing the microscopic deformation and dislocation evolution of aluminum matrix composites, the mechanisms of dislocation derivation and propagation induced by graphene and TBs are explored. In addition, it is found that there is a competition between graphene and TBs for the dislocation evolution, and the graphene can weaken the dislocation blocking effect of TBs. Finally, it is proved that the angle between graphene and TBs will weaken the mechanical properties of the composites. While researchers have proposed a reciprocal and bidirectional relationship among students' perceptions of their learning environment, engagement, and learning outcomes in college learning, scant research has effectively tested this assertion using longitudinal data. The present study examined this relationship with the use of an auto-/cross-lagged longitudinal structural equation modelling across a lag of 2.5 years. University students' (N = 966) perceptions of the learning environment, engagement, generic skills, and GPA were surveyed and collected at sophomore and senior years. In addition to significant auto-lagged effects, the cross-lagged results showed unidirectional predicting paths from prior perceptions to subsequent engagement, and reciprocal and bidirectional relationship between engagement and generic skills. The complicated maritime environment and multiple risk coupling pose significant challenges to hazardous material transportation safety in coastal areas. Then, the definition and types of risk coupling are determined. Finally, a novel risk coupling model is constructed by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and N-K model. AHP–N-K model is used to calculate the coupling degree of risk factors. Furthermore, the correlation mechanism between the risk values and the risk components in complicated maritime environment is analyzed. The results show that the risk of hazardous materials transportation has a gradually increasing trend with the increase of risk coupling factors. Owing to the risk coupling of driver factors and road environmental factors, the probability of accidents is high. The coupling risk of subjective and objective risk factors is more likely to cause accidents than subjective risk factors. Dust velocity in fusion devices covers a wide range (several hundreds of m/s to over 10 km/s), which can cause various interactions between energetic dust grains and wall materials. Dust grain with low energy can influence the wall properties by deposition. Intense dust-wall interactions can cause serious wall damage such as sputtering, degradation, deformation and so on. As beryllium and tungsten are the material of the first wall and divertor, respectively, systematically molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to study the interactions between beryllium/tungsten dust and the beryllium/tungsten wall in the present study. A wide range of dust velocity has been considered to cover the velocity from experiments. Our result shows that the influences of dust on the wall are greatly affected by the impact velocity of dust grains and the properties of the wall material. A detailed analysis shows that the dust-wall interaction can be divided into four levels and an analytical model has been developed to explain the mechanism. Character velocities that separate the interaction levels are also provided by the model. The comparison between the MD result and the model shows a good agreement. An integrated sample pre-treatment and derivatization method based on a biopolymers/TEOS-based carbon nanofibers microextraction that allows rapid extraction (5 min), followed by separation and highly sensitive detection of phenolic compounds by gas chromatography‒mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, is described. The developed methodology, coupled with GC-MS, allowed low detection limits (0.03–0.32 ng mL‒1), good linearities (0.5–200 ng mL‒1) and recoveries (73.58–85.76%) to be achieved in a few steps and short time. Based on the high adsorption properties of materials, the on-line removal device of phenolic compounds in water was designed. A pyridinium functionalization chitosan (PCS) at high yield was facilely and solvothermally obtained from reactions of chitosan with N-2,4-dinitrophenyl-pyridinium chloride. The morphology and physical–chemical properties of PCS were tested with various techniques. Its sorption behaviors towards methyl orange (MO) and Cr(VI) were systematically investigated. Pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir equations well fitted the sorption kinetics and isotherms, respectively. Thermodynamics analyses revealed the spontaneous and endothermic sorption of these two contaminants. PCS exhibited high sorption capacity of 1649.30 mg·g−1 MO and 200.46 mg·g−1 Cr(VI) at 308 K. The superior sorption performance of PCS over MO is ascribed to ion exchange, intermolecular hydrogen bond, and electrostatic and π-π interactions, while sorption of PCS over Cr(VI) is mainly driven by electrostatic forces, reduction and ion exchange. Moreover, the PCS exceeded 95 % of its original capacities during five cycles. This high sorption capacities and high reusability make PCS an excellent sorbent candidate towards anionic contaminants. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of nanoporous materials. The development of efficient and environmentally friendly methods for activating MOFs is of great significance for its industrial application. In this work, nanoscale magnetic core-shell Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 was prepared through a secondary growth strategy. The effects of different activation solvents (dichloromethane and ethanol, respectively) and temperatures on the surface area, pore structures and the adsorption of xylene isomers on Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 were investigated. Ethanol as an activation solvent could more easily displace the precursors remaining in the channels of Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 than dichloromethane, while the temperature change has no significant influence on the pore structure. The adsorption separation of xylene isomers on Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 composite materials was studied using the batch vapor-phase adsorption, and liquid-phase breakthrough experiments. The activated Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 (CH 2 Cl 2 -200 ​°C ​− ​C 2 H 5 OH) material has the highest adsorption capacity of 210.26 ​mg ​g−1 for p -xylene (p X). Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 (C 2 H 5 OH) and Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 materials have excellent adsorption capacity for m -xylene (m X), with the values of 200.19 ​mg ​g−1 and 219.63 ​mg ​g−1, respectively, which is about 4 times higher than that of Cu-BTC@Fe 3 O 4 (CH 2 Cl 2). The erythraeid species can be assigned with larva or adult only, or both under current Erythraeidae taxonomy. The present study describes two new erythraeid species from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau (Oriental region). Marantelophus neodubifurcatussp. nov. is based on larvae that were off-host when collected, while Erythraeus (Zaracarus) mossesussp. nov. is based on a female adult, which was preying on an ant when collected, and larvae which were her offspring. The genus Marantelophus is divided into two species groups based on the odontus with or without a subterminal tooth, and M. neodubifurcatussp. nov. belongs to the group with the subterminal tooth. The larval members of the subgenus Erythraeus (Zaracarus) are divided into five species groups, and E. The human corneal endothelial cells (HCEnCs) play a vital role in the maintenance of corneal transparency and visual acuity. In our daily life, HCEnCs are inevitably exposed to ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation leading to decreases of visual acuity and corneal transparency resulting in visual loss eventually. Therefore, understanding the UVB-induced cytotoxicity in HCEnCs is of importance for making efficient strategies to protect our vision from UVB-damage. However, in-depth knowledge about UVB-induced cytotoxicity in HCEnCs is missing. Herein, we pulse-irradiated the HCEnCs in vitro with 150 mJ/cm2 UVB (the environmental dose) at each subculture for 4 passages to explore the insights into UVB-induced phototoxicity. The results showed that the UVB-treated HCEnCs exhibit typical senescent characteristics, including significantly enlarged relative cell area, increased senescence-associated β-galactosidase positive staining, and upregulated p16INK4A and senescence associated secretory phenotypes (SASPs) such as CCL-27, IL-1α/6/8/10, TGF-β1 and TNF-α, as well as decreased cell proliferation and Lamin B1 expression, and translocation of Lamin B1. Furthermore, we explored the causative mechanisms of senescence and found that 150 mJ/cm2 UVB pulse-irradiation impairs DNA to activate DNA damage response (DDR) pathway of ATM—p53—p21WAF1/CIP1 with downregulated DNA repair enzyme PARP1, leading to cell cycle arrest resulting in DDR-mediated senescence. Meanwhile, UVB pulse-irradiation also elicits a consistent increase of ROS production to aggravate DNA damage and impose oxidative stress on energy metabolism leading to metabolic disturbance resulting in metabolic disturbance-mediated senescence. Altogether, the repeated pulse-irradiation of 150 mJ/cm2 UVB induces HCEnC senescence via both DDR pathway and energy metabolism disturbance. The Sichuan-Tibet Railway traverses the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China, where giant landslides occur frequently and densely. Accurately assessing the velocity, runout distance, and influenced area of the potential landslides is one of the nonnegligible scientific and technical issues. This study establishes a dynamic model for the landslide runout assessment along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway. The proposed model is based on the shallow water theory and takes into account the mechanism that the friction is weakening with the increase of velocity, the finite difference method is used to solve the governing equations, and the ideal one-dimensional dam break experiment was used to verify the shock-capturing capacity of the numerical methods. The Lagang ancient landslide, only 500 m away from the Jiacha Station of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, represents the typical environment and development pattern of landslides in this region. Therefore, the proposed model is applied to discuss its effects on the landslide dynamic process and deposit patterns. Besides, 75 sets of numerical experiments were further carried out to explore the sensibility of the three parameters including peak friction coefficient μ p , steady friction coefficient μ s , and critical velocity V c in this model. The results indicate that μ s determine the lower limit of the friction coefficient, which significantly impacts the landslide runout distance; μ p is mainly acting at the initial and final stage and has less influence on the landslide dynamic. By contrast, V c is the most significant. When the V c is small, the landslide can quickly reach the threshold velocity after the initial, and the dynamic process has a small correlation with the μ p ; when the V c is large, the landslide is difficult to reach the threshold, and the mobility will be limited. Advanced hierarchical carbon-based hybrid (CH) nanostructures, typical carbon nanotubes/carbon nanofibers hybrid (CNT-CNF), with rationally tailored components, structures, and chemistries, have been widely dedicated to potential energy storage and conversion applications. Here we report a facile methodology for the synthesis of precise hierarchical heteroatom-doped carbon hybrid / transition metal sulfide (CNF-CNT/TMS) nanostructure assemblies with novel in-situ formed TMSs as the catalysts for secondary CNTs growth via a self-boosting catalytic pyrolysis. The key to in situ growth of CNT arrays is obtaining small high active TMS nanocatalysts and sufficient supply of carbon sources originated from polystyrene. Such special structure provides abundant active sites, beneficial for the application of N, S codoped CNF-CNT/TMS hybrid film in the electrochemistry without introducing extra dopants. As a proof-of-concept application, the representative CNF-CNT/Co 9 S 8 hybrid was exploited as a conductive and catalytic membrane reactor in a lithium–sulfur (Li-S) battery. This unique architecture can achieve a maximized synergistic effect of electron/ion transport, polysulfide entrapment and catalytic conversion, which enables significant enhancement in electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries. As anticipated, the Li-S battery exhibits ultrastable long-life (over 1000 cycles, with an ultralow decay of 0.034% per cycle) and high-rate performance (6 C). Moreover, at high loading of sulfur of 3.7 mg cm−2, stable cycling performance with high capacity retention can still be achieved after long-term tests. Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) is a key negative emission technology in response to climate change. The industrial chain of BECCS is composed of multi-agent participants: farmers, middlemen, enterprises. This paper fills a gap in BECCS research by establishing a tripartite evolutionary game model and conducting system dynamics simulation to analyze the participants' interaction and strategy choices on system equilibrium in supply chain of BECCS under vertical integration operation model, and further discussing the influence of policy incentives on BECCS. The results show that the willingness of both enterprises and middlemen participate in the cooperation is very low under current scenario. Therefore, appropriate incentives must be taken to promote commercial deployment of BECCS. From sensitivity analysis, the following useful references for practical applications of BECCS in the future are obtained: Compared with other factors, costs of carbon storage have a more significant impact on the evolutionary trajectories and are highly sensitive to evolutionary equilibrium. The government should subsidize carbon utilization and electricity tariffs, but could not provide an initial investment subsidy for BECCS retrofit. This paper proposes a new experimental method and theoretical model for the purpose to study the effect and mechanism of environmental pH and edge of graphene on the adsorption mechanical properties between graphene and benzene. The experimental results based on atomic force microscope show that the acidic environment is more conducive to the adsorption of benzene on the surface of graphene than the alkaline environment. The adsorption performance of benzene at the center of graphene is better than that at the edge. Moreover, based on experimental results, mechanisms of pH effect and edge effect are revealed by potential function theory. In the current research, the moisture-resistant of Mg-MOF-74 was successfully improved by coating with two-dimensional (2-D) hexagonal boron nitride (h -BN) during the facile hydrothermal synthesis process. Both TEM and SEM results revealed that 2-D h -BN is coated on Mg-MOF-74's surface. The crystal structure, morphology, surface area, thermal stability and CH 4 uptake capacity of Mg-MOF-74 were not drastically influenced by coating with h -BN as examined by XRD, FTIR, SEM, and TEM. Further, the coated Mg-MOF-74 demonstrated better stability than uncoated Mg-MOF-74, when being exposed to high humidity, in terms of surface area and CH 4 uptake capacity. It was observed that the coated Mg-MOF-74 with 1 ​wt % h -BN has reached to 1959 ​m2 ​g−1 surface area and CH 4 uptake capacity of 43 ​cm3 ​g−1 after exposure to high humidity for a duration of 1 month. The primary driver of magmatism, crustal deformation and metallogeny of the North China Craton in the Jurassic remains actively debated, either attributed to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific (i.e., Izanagi) plate in the east or to the closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean in the north. This issue is addressed here by examining temporal and spatial variation of the contemporary volcanic rocks (i.e., Tiaojishan Formation) of the Yanshan belt in the northern part of the craton. These rocks are mainly calc-alkaline and intermediate-felsic in composition and show a highly coherent geochemical composition and unradiogenic zircon Hf isotope, indicating that they have similar origins and formed in a subduction-related setting. The eruption age of the Jurassic volcanic rocks decreases westward (i.e., inland-ward) from Western Liaoning (166–153 Ma), through Pingquan-Chengde-Luanping (162–153 Ma) and Jingxi-Xuanhua (158–149 Ma), to Yuxian (157–142 Ma). This temporal and spatial variation is consistent with the motion of the subducted Paleo-Pacific plate over that time. In addition to the westward migration, the earliest volcanic rocks in the Yanshan belt formed earlier than those in the adjacent southern Great Xing'an Range in the north. These observations suggest that the southward subduction and closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk plate played a limited role in generation of these volcanic rocks. Two episodes of Middle-Late Jurassic volcanism (166–153 Ma and 150–139 Ma) are observed in the northern Great Xing'an Range. They are interpreted as results of closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean and subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate, respectively. Temporal-spatial variation of volcanic activity in the northern North China Craton and adjacent region demonstrates that the Paleo-Pacific subduction was the principal cause of the evolution of Eastern China during the late Mesozoic, whereas the Mongol-Okhotsk tectonic regime is largely confined to the northern Great Xing'an Range and the area north to it. • Age of Tiaojishan volcanic rocks decreases inlandward from east to west. • Subduction of Izanagi plate controlled Jurassic magmatism of Eastern China. • Mongol-Okhotsk tectonic regime is confined to northern GXAR in the Jurassic. This paper investigates the adaptive tracking control problem for a class of p -normal nonlinear time-delay systems with actuator failures via a dynamic event-triggered strategy. To deal with the time-varying delay, a modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) with the system powers is constructed. By using radial basis function neural networks and hyperbolic tangent function, the residual terms caused by the derivative of LKF can be handled. Then, to achieve better communication efficiency, a dynamic event-triggered strategy is proposed, in which the threshold parameter is dynamically adjusted with the change of the virtual control signal. With the help of the proposed adaptive controller, all states of the closed-loop system are bounded and a favorable tracking performance is ensured. Background: We aimed to assess the value of dose distribution-based dosiomics and planning CT-based radiomics to predict radiation-induced temporal lobe injury (TLI) and guide individualized intensity-modulated radiotherapy.Materials and Methods: A total of 5599 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients were enrolled, including 2503, 1072, 988, and 1036 patients in the training, validation, prospective test, and external test cohorts, respectively. The concordance index (C-index) was used to compare the performance of the radiomics and dosiomics models with that of the QUANTEC and Wen's models. The predicted TLI-free survival rates of redesigned simulated plans with the same dose-volume histogram but different dose distributions for same patient in a cohort of 30 randomly selected patients were compared by the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-rank test.Results: The radiomics and dosiomics signatures were constructed based on 30 selected CT features and 10 selected dose distribution features, respectively, which were important predictors of TLI-free survival (all P<0.001). However, the radiomics signature had a low C-index. The dosiomics risk model combining the dosiomics signature, D1cc, and age had favorable performance, with C-index values of 0.776, 0.811, 0.805, and 0.794 in the training, validation, prospective test, and external test cohorts, respectively, which were better than those of the QUANTEC model and Wen's model (all P<0.001). The dosiomics risk model can further distinguish patients in a same risk category divided by other models (all P<0.05). Conversely, the other models were unable to separate populations classified by the dosiomics risk model (all P>0.05). Two simulated plans with the same dose-volume histogram but different dose distributions had different TLI-free survival rates predicted by dosiomics risk model (all P≤0.002).Conclusion: The dosiomics risk model was superior to traditional models in predicting the risk of TLI. Background: Anesthesia and surgery can induce perioperative neurocognitive disorders (PND). Mitochondrial dysfunction has been proposed to be one of the earliest triggering events in surgery-induced neuronal damage. Dexmedetomidine has been demonstrated to attenuate the impairment of cognition in aged rats induced by surgery in our previous study. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats underwent hepatic apex resection under anesthesia with propofol to clinically mimic human abdominal surgery. The rats were divided into three groups: Control group, Model group and Dexmedetomidine (Dex) group. Cognitive function was evaluated with the Morris water maze (MWM), Open Field Test (OFT)and Novel object recognition task (NOR). Ultrastructural change in neuronal mitochondria was measured by transmission electron microscopy. Mitochondrial function was measured by mitochondrial membrane potential and activities of mitochondrial complexes. Neuronal morphology was observed with H&E staining and the activation of glial cells was observed by immunohistochemistry in the hippocampus. Protein levels were measured by Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence at 3 and 7 days after surgery. Results: Surgery-induced cognitive decline lasts three days, but not seven days after surgery in the model group. Transmission electron microscope showed the mitochondrial structure damage in the model group, similar changes were not induced in the Dex group. Dexmedetomidine may reverse the decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential and mitochondrial complex activity. Compared with the Control group, the expression of cytochrome c was significantly increased in model group by Western blot and immunofluorescence on days 3, but not day 7. Rats from the Model group expressed significantly greater levels of Iba-1 and GFAP compared with the Control group and the Dex group. Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine appears to reverse surgery-induced behavior, mitigate the higher density of Iba-1 and GFAP, reduce the damage of mitochondrial structure and function by alleviating oxidative stress and protect mitochondrial respiratory chain, thus increasing cytochrome c oxidase (COX) expression and downregulate the expression of cytochrome c protein in the hippocampus of rats. This paper proposes a multi-objective stratified optimization (MOSO) design for a permanent magnet linear synchronous machine (PMLSM) to obtain higher thrust and suppress the thrust ripple. MOSO can combine the advantages of different optimization methods and have fast and efficient optimization characteristics. Based on the parametric analysis of the influence of the auxiliary tooth size and the end-tooth width on the thrust performance, the sensitive variables are quickly filtered by using the Taguchi method. The response surface model (RSM) is built by adopting the central composite design (CCD) based on the sensitive variables. Moreover, the stratified optimization design of the PMLSM is completed by combining with the multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) to achieve a balance between local and global search. Advanced hierarchical hybrid nanostructures of polar, conductive and catalytic chemical traps/carbon with rationally tailored components, structures, and chemistries are important in determining the performance of lithium-sulfur (Li–S) batteries. Herein we propose a facile strategy to prepare 3D-structured CNF@graphene-CoSe (CNF@G L -CoSe) cable/sheath heterostructure with the in-situ formed CoSe as a catalyst for graphene-like carbon growth and Se as a catalyst promoter. The architecture integrates high electrical conductivity, effective ion transport, notable polysulfide entrapment, and polysulfide redox kinetics, availing lithium/sulfur conversion when applied as an interlayer in a Li–S battery. As expected, the battery delivered a low decay of 0.053% per cycle over 700 cycles at 1 C. The capacity even remained 649.4 and 524.5 mA h g−1 at 4 and 6 C, respectively. Furthermore, an areal capacity of about 3 mA h cm−2 at 0.1 C after long-term tests can still maintain with sulfur loading of 4.5 mg cm−2. The continuous usage of fungicides poses a potential threat to the environment, ranging from mere irritation to being very toxic to human beings and organisms. Plasma-activated water (PAW) has recently gained much interest as a promising candidate to inactivate phytopathogens. However, the inactivation mechanisms of PAW are still not well understood. In this study, the effect of PAW on the cellular responses of Fusarium graminearum and the efficacy of PAW against F. graminearum in vivo and in vitro were investigated. The results showed that microbial activity of spores was significantly inhibited by PAW treatment (P < 0.05). The symptoms caused by F. graminearum were significantly reduced on the wheat spikelets. PAW could induce cell wall sculpturing, membrane permeability changes, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Differential gene expression analysis also confirmed that the cell membrane, the cell wall and the mitochondria were the organelles most affected by PAW. The results from this study facilitate the understanding of the mechanisms underlying the responses of F. graminearum to PAW and indicate the potential of PAW as a fungicidal agent or an effective supplement to fungicides. This paper presents a novel design of an ocean surface cleaning system (OSCS), which can be operated at various sea sites. The system weathervanes around the mooring system, so that the marine debris can be effectively concentrated by the OSCS. In order to verify the technical feasibility and efficiency of this novel OSCS, a series of experiments in a wave tank were conducted. The prototypes and metocean data were designed to clean marine debris at Ningbo Xiangshan Port. From the statistics of the testing results, it is found that the novel OSCS can effectively concentrate and clean marine debris of different types. We also measured the hydrodynamic responses of the OSCS under various sea conditions. The results show that the system's motion responses in the vertical plane are small, indicating the marine debris could not escape from the top and bottom of the system. Meanwhile, the motions in the horizontal plane are sufficiently high to cover a large ocean surface area. • Evolution of adjacent liquid bridges is conducted by molecular dynamics simulation. • Mismatch rate M ∗ and horizontal spacing D h can effectively control the coalescence and jumping of adjacent droplets. • Van der Waals parameter ε ∗ will reduce the wettability of kaolinite, while CO 2 saturation is the opposite. • The orderly arrangement of water and CO 2 molecules is related to the interface. • Coalescence/jumping coalescence contributes to the rise of capillary force, leading to the instability of system. The mechanism of mechanical and hydraulic properties of unsaturated clays at the nanoscale hasn't been fully understood, especially for three-phase systems. Through molecular dynamics (MD) and a series of microscopic test methods, the stability of kaolinite-water-CO 2 under D h , S r , M ∗ , d s ∗ and ε ∗ was evaluated. The results of density field, adsorption, contact angle and capillary force of water and CO 2 molecules indicated that D h and M ∗ controlled the coalescence and jumping of adjacent droplets, while the wettability of minerals depended on S r and ε ∗ . When the two droplets ranged from coalescence to separation, not only the contact angle enlarged, but the capillary force declined. Although the rise of ε ∗ will enhance the wettability of kaolinite, it will cause the liquid bridge to break and be adsorbed on the surface of particle in the form of a liquid film if it's too high. In this case, contact angle of liquid bridges suddenly dropped to zero. The capillary force will also present a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. In the three-phase environment, the enlargement of S r induced CO 2 molecules to be adsorbed on the surface of solid and liquid phase due to hydrogen bonds, thereby reducing the wettability of minerals. Subsequently, capillary force became smaller. In addition, CO 2 and H 2 O molecules at the interface were arranged in order, and the thickness of adsorption layer was from small to large: solid–gas, solid–liquid, gas–liquid. By fitting the critical conditions of liquid bridges in instability and fracture, it may be beneficial to explain macroscopic unsaturated theory and long-term experimental observations. As a typical semiconductor, ZnO is considered as a favorable photocatalyst due to its excellent photoelectrochemical properties. However, low response of visible light and the recombination of photoinduced carriers limits its application in photocatalysis. Herein, a novel, robust and recyclable heterogeneous photocatalyst based on flower-like Co doped ZnO microspheres was presented without changing the hierarchical morphology. The crystal structure, light absorption, and electrochemical performance were systematically investigated, and the response of Co doped ZnO to visible light significantly enhanced with the gap band reduced from 3.20 eV to 2.54 eV. Due to the transformation of Co2+ to Co3+, more oxygen vacancies were produced, with more photoinduced electrons transferring to Co3+ which would greatly inhibit the recombination of photoinduced electrons and holes and improve photocatalytic activity. 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT) which is considered as a long half-life intermediate of antibiotic medicine is chosen as a target. As a result, the 7% Co-ZnO photocatalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity for the degradation of MBT with the rate constant of 0.1498 min−1 and removing ratio of 97.3% in 50 min. The formation of excess oxygen vacancies and the conversion between Co2+ to Co3+ were further identified by XPS analysis. This work provides new sights for doping transition metal with different chemical valence in semiconductors for producing oxygen vacancy and improving the photocatalytic efficiency. In this work, a cation functionalized hydrochar (CFHC) bearing − N+H 2 R was synthesized by grafting-polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) onto bamboo hydrochar under initiation by benzoyl peroxide, followed by the amination with the introduced epoxy group and diethylenetriamine and a subsequent hydrochloric acid treatment. The resulted CFHC exhibited a superior removal capacity of 424.09 mg·g−1 for Cr(VI), and the highest sorption occurred at pH of 2. Combining a series of characterizations and tests, it was concluded that the sorption conformed to the pseudo-second-order and Freundlich equations, indicating a multilayer chemisorption process that mainly driven by electrostatic reaction, reduction, and surface complexation.
