Aims: To validate cardiovascular risk prediction models for individuals with diabetes using the UK Biobank in order to assess their applicability. Methods: We externally validated 19 cardiovascular risk scores from seven risk prediction models (Chang et al., Framingham, University of Hong Kong‐Singapore [HKU‐SG], Li et al, RECODe [risk equations for complications of type 2 diabetes], SCORE [Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation] and the UK Prospective Diabetes Study Outcomes Model 2 [UKPDS OM2]), identified from systematic reviews, using UK Biobank data from 2006 to 2021 (n = 23 685; participant age 40–71 years, 63.5% male). We evaluated performance by assessing the discrimination and calibration of the models for the endpoints of mortality, cardiovascular mortality, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, stroke, and ischaemic heart disease. Results: Over a total of 269 430 person‐years of follow‐up (median 11.89 years), the models showed low‐to‐moderate discrimination performance on external validation (concordance indices [c‐indices] 0.50–0.71). Most models had low calibration with overprediction of the observed risk. RECODe outperformed other models across four comparable endpoints for discrimination: all‐cause mortality (c‐index 0.67, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.65–0.69), congestive heart failure (c‐index 0.71, 95% CI 0.69–0.72), myocardial infarction (c‐index 0.67, 95% CI 0.65–0.68); and stroke (c‐index 0.65, 95% CI 0.62–0.68), and for calibration (except for all‐cause mortality). The UKPDS OM2 had comparable performance to RECODe for all‐cause mortality (c‐index 0.67, 95% CI 0.66–0.69) and cardiovascular mortality (c‐index 0.71, 95% CI 0.70–0.73), but worse performance for other outcomes. The models performed better for younger participants and somewhat better for non‐White ethnicities. Models developed from non‐Western datasets showed worse performance in our UK‐based validation set. Conclusions: The RECODe model led to better risk estimations in this predominantly White European population. Natural rubber is an important national strategic and industrial raw material. The leaf anthracnose of rubber trees caused by the Colletotrichum species is one of the important factors restricting the yields of natural rubber. In this study, we isolated and identified strain Bacillus velezensis SF334, which exhibited significant antagonistic activity against both C. australisinense and C. siamense, the dominant species of Colletotrichum causing rubber tree leaf anthracnose in the Hainan province of China, from a pool of 223 bacterial strains. The cell suspensions of SF334 had a significant prevention effect for the leaf anthracnose of rubber trees, with an efficacy of 79.67% against C. siamense and 71.8% against C. australisinense. We demonstrated that SF334 can lead to the lysis of C. australisinense and C. siamense mycelia by causing mycelial expansion, resulting in mycelial rupture and subsequent death. B. velezensis SF334 also harbors some plant probiotic traits, such as secreting siderophore, protease, cellulase, pectinase, and the auxin of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), and it has broad-spectrum antifungal activity against some important plant pathogenic fungi. The genome combined with comparative genomic analyses indicated that SF334 possesses most genes of the central metabolic and gene clusters of secondary metabolites in B. velezensis strains. To our knowledge, this is the first time a Bacillus velezensis strain has been reported as a promising biocontrol agent against the leaf anthracnose of rubber trees caused by C. siamense and C. australisinense. • Operando observation system is developed to make in-situ test on lab-on-a-chip. • Actual evolution process of charged submicron particles is recorded intuitively. • This work demonstrates direct influence of drag force on particle chain fracture. • It is first-time visualization of mechanism elucidation of particle re-entrainment. Inhalable particle is a harmful air pollutant that causes a significant threat to people's health and ecological environments, which should be removed to purify air, but there exists limited removal efficiency due to particle re-entrainment. Here, Operando observation system based on microscopic visualization method is developed to make in situ test of particle migration, deposition and re-entrainment characteristics on a lab-on-a-chip to achieve the investigation in micro-level scale. The deposition evolution of charged particles is recorded in electric field region intuitively, which confirms the fracture of particle chain occurs during the growth process of deposited particles. It captures the instantaneous process that a larger particle with micron size due to the coagulation of submicron particles fractures from main body of the particle chain for the first time. The analysis of migration behavior of a single submicron particle near electrode surface demonstrates the direct influence of drag force on the fracture of particle chain. This work is the first-time visualization of dynamic process and mechanism elucidation of particle re-entrainment at the micron level, and the findings will provide the theory support for the particle re-entrainment mechanism and bring inspires of enhancing capture efficiency of inhalable particle. The high integration density of microelectronic devices leads to local heat accumulation, and effective heat dissipation and signal transmission of packaging materials have become the primary issues to be solved. However, existing polymer materials have difficulty meeting the requirements due to their unsatisfactory thermal conductivity and thermal expansion properties. In this work, we proposed the use of digital light processing (DLP) printing technology to construct a triply periodic minimum surface (TPMS) skeleton, and a continuous and efficient heat conduction path was successfully constructed in epoxy resin by impregnating h-BN on the skeleton surface. When the loading of h-BN was 20 vol%, the thermal conductivity of the TPMS(SiO 2)@BN/EP(BN) composites was 1.86 W/(m·K), which was 786 % higher than that of pure epoxy resin. In addition, the thermal expansion coefficient of the composites decreased by more than 70 %. At the test frequencies of 3∼10 MHz, the composites showed stable dielectric properties, and the dielectric constant was always maintained in a low range, between 3.85 and 4.15. This work has realized the transformation of the method for constructing a heat conduction path from disordered to ordered and from random to repeatable. Magnetic refrigeration technology based on the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of magnetic substances has been considered a prominent, energy‐efficient, and environmentally benign cooling method. Exploring suitable magnetic substances is a prerequisite for practical applications. A family of rare‐earth‐free magnetocaloric materials called Mn30Fe20−xCuxAl50 alloys is identified room‐temperature refrigeration, which are derived from the well‐known MnAl‐based permanent magnets. As expected from experimental and theoretical investigations, all of the Mn30Fe20−xCuxAl50 alloys are crystallized in a stable cubic CsCl‐type crystal structure, revealing a single second‐order type magnetic phase transition (MPT) with tunable MPT temperature. They also exhibit a large reversible MCE and good magnetocaloric performances in a wide temperature range. Crucially, these Mn30Fe20−xCuxAl50 alloys represent a rare case of magnetic materials belonging to a large family that can be fabricated from low‐price, earth‐abundant, and non‐toxic elements. This paper studies the linear convergence of the subspace constrained mean shift (SCMS) algorithm, a well-known algorithm for identifying a density ridge defined by a kernel density estimator. By arguing that the SCMS algorithm is a special variant of a subspace constrained gradient ascent (SCGA) algorithm with an adaptive step size, we derive the linear convergence of such SCGA algorithm. While the existing research focuses mainly on density ridges in the Euclidean space, we generalize density ridges and the SCMS algorithm to directional data. The latticework structure known as the cosmic web provides a valuable insight into the assembly history of large-scale structures. Despite the variety of methods to identify the cosmic web structures, they mostly rely on the assumption that galaxies are embedded in a Euclidean geometric space. Here, we present a novel cosmic web identifier called sconce (S pherical and CON ic C osmic w E b finder) that inherently considers the 2D (RA, DEC) spherical or the 3D (RA, DEC, z) conic geometry. The proposed algorithms in sconce generalize the well-known subspace constrained mean shift (scms) method and primarily address the predominant filament detection problem. They are intrinsic to the spherical/conic geometry and invariant to data rotations. We further test the efficacy of our method with an artificial cross-shaped filament example and apply it to the SDSS galaxy catalogue, revealing that the 2D spherical version of our algorithms is robust even in regions of high declination. Finally, using N -body simulations from Illustris, we show that the 3D conic version of our algorithms is more robust in detecting filaments than the standard scms method under the redshift distortions caused by the peculiar velocities of haloes. Reported here is a systematical investigation on the crystal structure, magnetic properties and magnetocaloric (MC) effect of three rare earth (RE) molybdate RE 2 MoO 6 (RE = Dy, Tb and Gd) oxides. The X-ray powder diffraction and the morphology as examined using the scanning electron microscope indicate phase-pure and polycrystalline nature of these oxides. The temperature (2–100 K) and magnetic field (up to 5 T) dependence of the magnetic measurements determine the magnetic phase transition (MPT) and MC properties. All the present RE 2 MoO 6 oxides crystallize in a monoclinic structure belonging to C 2/ c space group with the antiferromagnetic ordering at low temperature. Moreover, the RE 2 MoO 6 oxides hold reasonable values of MC parameters including the maximum isothermal magnetic entropy change/temperature-averaged entropy change (2 K lift) and relative cooling power values have been evaluated with the magnetic change of 0–5 T, yielding 17.22 (17.08) J/kgK and 277.67 J/kg for Dy 2 MoO 6 , 17.03 (16.83) J/kgK and 261.12 J/kg for Tb 2 MoO 6 , as well as 27.68 (26.69) J/kgK and 228.14 J/kg for Gd 2 MoO 6 , respectively. The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) has been extensively studied in various magnetic solids, aiming to both facilitate practical applications in magnetic cooling and deepen our understanding these materials' intrinsic properties. This study presents a systematic investigation of Gd 2 Ti 2 O 7 oxide, characterized by a geometrically frustrated magnetic structure, focusing on its structural and magnetic characteristics through experimental analysis and theoretical calculations. Emphasis is placed on its magnetic phase transition (MPT) and magnetocaloric properties, scrutinizing temperatures as low as 0.4 K and magnetic fields up to 16 T. The results reveal that Gd 2 Ti 2 O 7 oxide possesses a crystalline cubic pyrochlore-type structure with an antiferromagnetic (AFM) semiconductor ground state. The material undergoes a first-order MPT in low field and low-temperature regimes, transitioning to a second-order MPT above 2 K up to 16 T. Evaluation of magnetocaloric parameters, including maximum magnetic entropy change, temperature-averaged entropy change, relative cooling power, and refrigerant capacity, indicates moderate values under low magnetic field changes, while significantly large values are achievable under high magnetic field changes. This finding suggests that potential cryogenic magnetocaloric materials (MCMs) with optimal performance should exhibit low MPT temperatures induced by magnetic frustration and possess a ground state with a sufficiently large magnetic moment induced by low magnetic fields, thus avoiding excessively strong AFM coupling. Limited-angle CT is a challenging problem in real applications. Incomplete projection data will lead to severe artifacts and distortions in reconstruction images. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel reconstruction framework termed Deep Iterative Optimization-based Residual-learning (DIOR) for limited-angle CT. Instead of directly deploying the regularization term on image space, the DIOR combines iterative optimization and deep learning based on the residual domain, significantly improving the convergence property and generalization ability. Specifically, the asymmetric convolutional modules are adopted to strengthen the feature extraction capacity in smooth regions for deep priors. Besides, in our DIOR method, the information contained in low-frequency and high-frequency components is also evaluated by perceptual loss to improve the performance in tissue preservation. Both simulated and clinical datasets are performed to validate the performance of DIOR. Compared with existing competitive algorithms, quantitative and qualitative results show that the proposed method brings a promising improvement in artifact removal, detail restoration and edge preservation. X-ray computed tomography (CT) is of great clinical significance in medical practice because it can provide anatomical information about the human body without invasion, while its radiation risk has continued to attract public concerns. Reducing the radiation dose may induce noise and artifacts to the reconstructed images, which will interfere with the judgments of radiologists. Previous studies have confirmed that deep learning (DL) is promising for improving low-dose CT imaging. However, almost all the DL-based methods suffer from subtle structure degeneration and blurring effect after aggressive denoising, which has become the general challenging issue. This paper develops the Comprehensive Learning Enabled Adversarial Reconstruction (CLEAR) method to tackle the above problems. CLEAR achieves subtle structure enhanced low-dose CT imaging through a progressive improvement strategy. First, the generator established on the comprehensive domain can extract more features than the one built on degraded CT images and directly map raw projections to high-quality CT images, which is significantly different from the routine GAN practice. Second, a multi-level loss is assigned to the generator to push all the network components to be updated towards high-quality reconstruction, preserving the consistency between generated images and gold-standard images. Finally, following the WGAN-GP modality, CLEAR can migrate the real statistical properties to the generated images to alleviate over-smoothing. Qualitative and quantitative analyses have demonstrated the competitive performance of CLEAR in terms of noise suppression, structural fidelity and visual perception improvement. In this paper, a detailed investigation with respect to the structural, cryogenic magnetic properties and magnetocaloric performances of RE 2 CuMnO 6 (RE = Gd, Dy, Ho and Er) double perovskite (DP) compounds has been performed. All the RE 2 CuMnO 6 compounds are confirmed to B -site disordered and crystallized in the GdFeO 3 -type structure (Pnma space group, N 62, oP20). The magnetic transition temperatures (T M) are found to be ~7.5 K for Gd 2 CuMnO 6 , ~12.1 K for Dy 2 CuMnO 6 , ~12.2 K for Ho 2 CuMnO 6 , and ~3.6 K for Er 2 CuMnO 6 , respectively. Moreover, for checking the magnetocaloric performances several vital parameters including -Δ S M max (peak value of magnetic entropy change, -Δ S M), TEC (3) (temperature averaged -Δ S M) and RCP (relative cooling powers) are evaluated to be 7.84, 7.73 J/kgK and 151.1 J/kg for Gd 2 CuMnO 6 , 5.69, 5.59 J/kgK and 180.9 J/kg for Dy 2 CuMnO 6 , 7.12, 7.05 J/kgK and 192.4 J/kg for Ho 2 CuMnO 6 , as well as 9.92, 9.60 J/kgK and 195.9 J/kg for Er 2 CuMnO 6 under the magnetic field change Δ H = 5 T, respectively. In the present study, the structure, magnetic phase transition, and magnetocaloric performance of Al 20 Mn 20 Fe 20 Co 14.5+ x Cr 25.5- x (x = 0, 1, and 2), a series of typical rare-earth-free high-entropy (HE) alloys, were experimentally determined and theoretically analyzed based on first-principle calculation. Ferromagnetic behavior was established and their Curie temperature could be tuned in a wide temperature range, which correlated with Co content; specifically, it increased from 282.8 K for Co 14.5 Cr 25.5 to 345.8 K for Co 16.5 Cr 23.5. In addition, the electronic density of states and magnetic moments associated with each consistent element were analyzed in the HE alloys. Maximum magnetic entropy changes of 1.135, 1.150, and 1.096 J/kgK were obtained for an x of 0, 1, and 2 under a magnetic field change of 5 T. These values are comparable or superior to those of reported 3 d metal-based HE alloys. Furthermore, the experimental characterizations and theoretical predications agreed well, which provided an in-depth understanding of the rare-earth-free HE Al-Mn-Co-Fe-Cr alloy system, which is expected to be expanded to other systems in the future. The red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta Buren) is a social pest species with a robust reproductive ability that causes extensive damage. Identification of the genes involved in queen fertility is critical in order to better understand the reproductive biology and screening for the potential molecular targets in S. invicta. Here, we used the mRNA deep sequencing (RNA-seq) approach to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the transcriptomes of three reproductive caste types of S. invicta, including queen (QA) and winged female (FA) and male (MA) ants. The genes that were specific to and highly expressed in the queens were then screened, and the Vg2 and Vg3 genes were chosen as targets to explore their functions in oogenesis and fertility. A minimum of 6.08 giga bases (Gb) of clean reads was obtained from all samples, with a mapping rate > 89.78%. There were 7524, 7133, and 977 DEGs identified in the MA vs. QA, MA vs. FA, and FA vs. QA comparisons, respectively. qRT–PCR was used to validate 10 randomly selected DEGs, including vitellogenin 2 (Vg2) and 3 (Vg3), and their expression patterns were mostly consistent with the RNA-seq data. The S. invicta Vgs included conserved domains and motifs that are commonly found in most insect Vgs. SiVg2 and SiVg3 were highly expressed in queens and winged females and were most highly expressed in the thorax, followed by the fat body, head, and epidermis. Evaluation based on a loss-of-function-based knockdown analysis showed that the downregulation of either or both of these genes resulted in smaller ovaries, less oogenesis, and less egg production. The results of transcriptional sequencing provide a foundation for clarifying the regulators of queen fertility in S. invicta. The functions of SiVg2 and SiVg3 as regulators of oogenesis highlight their importance in queen fecundity and their potential as targets of reproductive disruption in S. invicta control. While catalyst morphology plays an essential role in traditional thermal catalysis, the specific effects in plasma catalysis deserve further in-depth study. In the present study, hollow NiO nanospheres with a rambutan-like structure were successfully prepared by MOFs-derived method involving morphology modulation, and employed for the in-plasma catalytic oxidation of benzene. The results show an enhancement of 60 % for benzene removal, while CO 2 selectivity was increased by 20 %. The energy consumption for 95 % benzene removal efficiency (RE 95%) was also reduced from 3600 J/L to 1100 J/L. Specifically, the hollow spherical shell structure is more abundant in surface oxygen species, including chemisorbed oxygen and surface lattice oxygen, which can be activated by plasma; the hollow structure also modulates the plasma discharge by shielding effect. The plasma field in turn also excites the oxidation activity of NiO, thus achieving the synergistic effect. In addition, a more comprehensive benzene decomposition pathway is proposed by analysis of the gaseous and non-gaseous intermediates (tar), where the plasma non-selectively breaks the chemical bonds of reactants and the catalyst selectively oxidizes the organic intermediates to CO 2 , and they promote each other to achieve synergistic effects. Dual-energy cone-beam computed tomography (DE-CBCT) is a promising imaging technique with foreseeable clinical applications. DE-CBCT images acquired with two different spectra can provide material-specific information. Meanwhile, the anatomical consistency and energy-domain correlation result in significant information redundancy, which could be exploited to improve image quality. In this context, this paper develops the Transformer-Integrated Multi-Encoder Network (TIME-Net) for DE-CBCT to remove the limited-angle artifacts. TIME-Net comprises three encoders (image encoder, prior encoder, and transformer encoder), two decoders (low- and high-energy decoders), and one feature fusion module. Three encoders extract various features for image restoration. The feature fusion module compresses these features into more compact shared features and feeds them to the decoders. Two decoders perform differential learning for DE-CBCT images. By design, TIME-Net could obtain high-quality DE-CBCT images using two complementary quarter-scans, holding great potential to reduce radiation dose and shorten the acquisition time. Qualitative and quantitative analyses based on simulated data and real rat data have demonstrated the promising performance of TIME-Net in artifact removal, subtle structure restoration, and reconstruction accuracy preservation. For the low concentration and intractable VOCs and CO 2 , plasma-coupled catalysis has superior advantages and development potential to deal with them. However, there are critical issues such as efficiency to be further improved and unclear coupling mechanism to reveal. In this review, various types of catalysts are categorized and evaluated by exploring their enhancement effect in plasma-catalytic system to indicate their synergistic excellence and application limitation. Besides, the detailed research of synergistic mechanism between plasma and catalysis is given more attention, which is rapidly progressing due to the development of in-situ experimental techniques and kinetic analysis approach. In our view, the future direction of plasma catalysis is to reveal the synergistic mechanism more deeply for efficiency improvement with efficient catalysts, and pave the way for practical application. The Heusler type Ni–Mn- Z (Z = Ga, ln, Sn, or Sb) alloys with magneto-structural transformations (MSTs) have received widespread research interests due to the exhibition of multifunctional characters. To further understand MSTs and improve the magnetocaloric performance of these alloys, in this work, the Ti doped Ni 48 Cu 2 Mn 36 Sn 14-x Ti x (x = 0, 1, 2, 3) ribbons have been fabricated and systematically determined with regard to the structural, magnetic, and magnetocaloric properties by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and magnetization measurements. All the ribbons are found to crystallize in the ordered cubic L2 1 austenite phases at room temperature and with the equiaxed austenite morphology. With the increasing Ti content, the average grain size and the MST temperature increase but the austenite Curie temperature (T A C) decrease gradually. Moreover, the thermal hysteresis and magnetic hysteresis loss are greatly reduced with the Ti doping. The value of average hysteresis loss (AHL) is reduced from 86 Jkg−1 for Ti0 to 25.5 Jkg−1 for Ti3 ribbon under 7 T. Additionally, enhanced magnetocaloric effect has been observed by Ti-doping. With the magnetic field change (ΔH) of 0–7 T, the largest value of magnetic entropy change reaches 15.4 Jkg−1K−1 (Ti2) among the Ni 48 Cu 2 Mn 36 Sn 14-x Ti x ribbons. The magnetic refrigeration (MR) technology by utilizing the magnetocaloric (MC) effects of magnetic solids have been realized to be a promising energy efficiency and environmentally friendly technology. Developing or discovering proper magnetic solids with promising MC performances is one of the most important tasks at present stage since a huge gap still exists between the requirement of practical MR application and the MC performances of the magnetic solids. The Gd 2 MgTiO 6 is confirmed to crystalize in a B -site ordered monoclinic double perovskite (DP) crystal structure. A rather unstable antiferromagnetic (AFM) interaction with large magnetic moment and semi-conductor characteristic with the band gap of 2.977 eV have been confirmed in Gd 2 TiMgO 6 DP oxide at ground state. Giant reversible cryogenic MC effect together with excellent MC performances have been confirmed by a series of the figure of merits including the values of maximum magnetic entropy change (-Δ S M) and refrigerant capacity (RC), which are evaluated to be 46.21 J/kgK and 300.27 J/kg around 3.3 K with the magnetic change of 0–7 T, these values are much better than most of the recently reported famous cryogenic MC materials and the commercialized magnetic refrigerants gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) as well. The rare-earths (RE) based amorphous materials with large magnetocaloric (MC) effects and excellent glass forming ability (GFA) have been recognized as promising candidates for magnetic refrigeration (MR). In this work, the RE 60 Co 20 Al 20 (RE = Ho, Er, Tm) amorphous ribbons were successfully fabricated and systematically determined with respect to the GFA, magnetic properties and MC effects. A second order magnetic phase transition (MPT) from ferromagnetic to paramagnetic (FM to PM) without noticeable field or thermal hysteresis has been observed around the Curie temperatures, T C ~ 22.3 K for Ho 60 Co 20 Al 20 , ~ 10.3 K for Er 60 Co 20 Al 20 , and ~ 5.0 K for Tm 60 Co 20 Al 20 , respectively. The MC parameters including the maximum magnetic entropy change (| Δ S M max |), temperature-averaged entropy change with 3 K lift [ TEC (3 K)], and relative cooling powder/refrigerant capacity (RCP/RC) have been determined to check the MC performances, and the corresponding values are determined to be 14.16, 15.57 and 15.06 J/kgK, to be14.04, 15.38 and 14.78 J/kgK, and to be 625.0/478.7, 505.7/391.8 and 334.0/243.4 J/kg for Ho 60 Co 20 Al 20 , Er 60 Co 20 Al 20 and Tm 60 Co 20 Al 20 under the field change Δμ 0 H = 5 T, respectively. Rolling bearings are widely applied in rotary machines. Bearing failures can lead to long machine downtime and costly maintenance. To reduce the maintenance time and cost, this article proposes a new denoising approach to remove heavy noise and extract weak bearing fault vibration features. The first step proposes a global variational mode decomposition (VMD) optimization algorithm that adaptively matches the optimal decomposition parameters based on kurtosis. In the second step, an adaptive selection criterion for IMF is developed by kurtosis theory. Meanwhile, an adaptive termination criterion is established based on sample entropy (SampEn), and the fault features are extracted with a Butterworth band-pass filter (BBF). Finally, actual fault-bearing experiments are performed using the proposed denoising approach. The comparison with respect to EEMD and WPD is illustrated in detail. To the best of our knowledge, poor environment stability is the main challenge for perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this study, cross-linked hole transport layer (HTL) is built on perovskite crystal to guarantee the operation stability of mesoporous PSCs for the first time. Here, N,N' -di-p-tolyl- N,-N' -bis(4-vinylphenyl)-[1,1′-biphenyl]-4,4′-diamine (V-p-TPD) was applied as a hole-transportable polymerizable monomer with the assistance of ultraviolet photoinitiator 4-octyloxydiphenyliodonium hexafluoroantimonate (OPPI). Cross-linking process is conducted at a distinctly low temperature of only 100 °C by adjusting the V-p-TPD: OPPI ratio to 10:1, which is tolerable for the active black phase of perovskite. The resultant cross-linked V-p-TPD film is qualified with a high cross-linking degree of 99%, a high hole mobility of 3.84 × 10−4 cm2V−1s−1 and a hydrophobic surface with wetting angle of 94.6°. Mesoporous PSCs based on the obtained cross-linked HTL achieved a tremendous Power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.49%, which represents the state-of-the-art records of mesoporous PSCs with cross-linkable HTL. PCE of the unpackaged device can remain 88% of the initial value after 30 d in an atmospheric environment with a relative humidity of 60 ± 5%, and maintain 86% of the initial PCE after 200 h in 65 ± 2 °C argon atmosphere. This work presents a low-temperature processing strategy for the preparation of cross-linked HTL layer, which does favor to the stable and efficient energy harvesting application. We herein provided a systematical determination of the structural and magnetic properties, especially of the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) and magnetocaloric performances of four rare-earth oxychlorides, i. e., the RE OCl (RE = Ho, Dy, Tb and Gd) compounds. The studied RE OCl compounds are all crystallized in the tetragonal matlockite structure (P 4/ nmm space group) and the RE , O, and Cl elements are with the RE 3+, O2−, and Cl− valence states, respectively. The DyOCl, TbOCl and GdOCl compounds reveal an antiferromagnetic transition at around approximate 9.5, 3.7 and 4.8 K, respectively. The magnetocaloric performances are checked by the maximum magnetic entropy change, relative cooling power, and temperature-averaged entropy change with 5 K lift, which are found to be 14.16 J/kgK, 375.55 J/kg and 13.89 J/kgK for HoOCl, to be 14.88 J/kgK, 488.14 J/kg, and 14.60 J/kgK for DyOCl, to be 14.59 J/kgK, 419.67 J/kg, and 14.42 J/kgK for TbOCl, and to be 16.16 J/kgK, 213.68 J/kg, and 14.39 J/kgK for GdOCl, with the magnetic field change of 0–7 T, respectively. We herein investigated four rare earth (RE)-based oxides, the RE 2 SiO 5 (RE = Gd, Dy, Ho, and Er) silicates, regarding their structural and cryogenic magnetic properties. All the RE 2 SiO 5 silicates are found to crystallized in a monoclinic structure. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy spectra illustrate that RE , Si and O elements in RE 2 SiO 5 silicates are present as RE 3+, Si4+, and O2−, respectively. The Dy 2 SiO 5 reveals a first-order magnetic transition around 4.5 K. The magnetic phase transition temperatures are probably below 2 K for the RE 2 SiO 5 (RE = Gd, Ho, and Er) silicates. Large cryogenic magnetocaloric effects (MCE) and good magnetocaloric performances were observed in the RE 2 SiO 5 silicates. The MCE parameters in terms of the maximum magnetic entropy changes, the temperature-averaged entropy change (5 K-lift) and refrigerant capacity under a magnetic field change of 0–5 T are determined to be 35.5, 30.4 J/kgK, and 215.7 J/kg for Gd 2 SiO 5 , to be 13.3, 12.9 J/kgK, and 190.5 J/kg for Dy 2 SiO 5 , to be 15.3, 15.1 J/kgK, and 274.1 J/kg for Ho 2 SiO 5 and to be 17.9, 16.5 J/kgK, and 181.14 J/kg for Er 2 SiO 5 , respectively. These derived values of MCE parameters of the RE 2 SiO 5 silicates, especially for Gd 2 SiO 5 , are at similarly high level with or better than those of the updated candidate materials, making them also of potential for practical magnetic refrigeration applications. Background: Immunosuppression induced by programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) presents a significant constraint on the effectiveness of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T therapy. The potential of combining PD1/PDL1 (Programmed cell death 1 ligand 1) axis blockade with CAR-T cell therapy is promising. However, developing a highly efficient and minimally toxic approach requires further exploration. Our attempt to devise a novel CAR structure capable of recognizing both tumor antigens and PDL1 encountered challenges since direct targeting of PDL1 resulted in systemic adverse effects. Methods: In this research, we innovatively engineered novel CARs by grafting the PD1 domain into a conventional second-generation (2G) CAR specifically targeting CD19. These CARs exist in two distinct forms: one with PD1 extramembrane domain (EMD) directly linked to a transmembrane domain (TMD), referred to as PE CAR, and the other with PD1 EMD connected to a TMD via a CD8 hinge domain (HD), known as PE8HT CAR. To evaluate their efficacy, we conducted comprehensive assessments of their cytotoxicity, cytokine release, and potential off-target effects both in vitro and in vivo using tumor models that overexpress CD19/PDL1. Results: The findings of our study indicate that PE CAR demonstrates enhanced cytotoxicity and reduced cytokine release specifically towards CD19 + PDL1 + tumor cells, without off-target effects to CD19-PDL1 + tumor cells, in contrast to 2G CAR-T cells. Additionally, PE CAR showed ameliorative differentiation, exhaustion, and apoptosis phenotypes as assessed by flow cytometry, RNA-sequencing, and metabolic parameter analysis, after encountering CD19 + PDL1 + tumor cells. Conclusion: Our results revealed that CAR grafted with PD1 exhibits enhanced antitumor activity with lower cytokine release and no PD1-related off-target toxicity in tumor models that overexpress CD19 and PDL1. Digital light processing 3D printing can be applied to fabricate complex silicon nitride (Si 3 N 4) components. However, because of the surface hydroxyl groups and large refractive index, it is still a foremost challenge to realize a stable photosensitive Si 3 N 4 slurry with combined benefits of low viscosity and large curing depth. In this study, we propose a new formulation strategy to prepare Si 3 N 4 slurry. Starting from the optimization of monomer ratio, we have systematically optimized powder particle size, dispersant and photoinitiator on the rheological properties and curing properties of Si 3 N 4 slurry. Specifically, we have fabricated a stable photosensitive Si 3 N 4 slurry (48 vol%) with a viscosity of 2.09 Pa s (30 s−1), a critical curing energy of 126.09 mJ/cm2 and a maximum curing depth of 80 µm. Finally, based on this optimized slurry, we have successfully obtained complex Si 3 N 4 green body with no defect, which demonstrates great potential to fabricate arbitrary complex ceramic components for various applications. The magnetic refrigeration (MR) based on magnetocaloric effect (MCE) is a key technique, since it possesses ideally higher performance than the traditional gas compression technology. However, the lack of MR materials with excellent MCE performance is a bottle-neck for practical MR applications. Herein, we systematically report the structural properties using powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope as well as the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties through the magnetization measurements of four rare-earth (RE) ruthenate RE 3 RuO 7 (RE = Pr, Nd, Gd and Tb) compounds. Light RE -based Pr 3 RuO 7 and Nd 3 RuO 7 compounds form an orthorhombic Cmcm structure, while heavy RE based Gd 3 RuO 7 and Tb 3 RuO 7 compounds crystallize in an orthorhombic P 2 1 nb structure. The magnetic phase transition of all the present compounds are confirmed to be of the first-order type with T N of 52, 15, 11 and 12 K for Pr 3 RuO 7 , Nd 3 RuO 7 , Gd 3 RuO 7 and Tb 3 RuO 7 compounds, respectively. The related MCE parameters including the maximum isothermal magnetic entropy change, temperature-averaged entropy change (5 K lift), and refrigerant capacity with the magnetic field change of 0–5 T were computed to be 1.35 J/kgK, 1.31 J/kgK, and 27.4 J/kg for Pr 3 RuO 7 , to be 2.18 J/kgK, 2.04 J/kgK, and 25.6 J/kg for Nd 3 RuO 7 , to be 8.12 J/kgK, 7.90 J/kgK, and 124.6 J/kg for Gd 3 RuO 7 , and to be 7.78 J/kgK, 7.49 J/kgK, and 128.8 J/kg for Tb 3 RuO 7 , respectively. The rare-earth (RE)-based magnetic solids with large magneto-caloric effect (MCE) have been well investigated recently due to their potential applications in the field of environmentally friendly cryogenic magnetic refrigeration (MR). Herein, two polycrystalline RE-based REFe2Si2 (RE = Dy and Tb) intermetallic compounds have been prepared by an arc-melting way and determined with regard to the structural and magnetic phase transition (MPT) properties as well as the MCE and magneto-caloric performance. Both of the present REFe2Si2 compounds at room temperature are crystallized in a ThCr2Si2-type structure and undergo a first-ordered MPT from antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic state around the Néel temperature (TN) of ~ 4.05 K for DyFe2Si2 and ~ 6.25 K for TbFe2Si2, respectively. Large cryogenic MC effect together with excellent MC performance have been realized in DyFe2Si2 compound. The MC parameters with magnetic field change at 0–5 T of the maximum magnetic entropy changes and the refrigerant capacity/relative cooling power were found to be 16.08 J/kgK and 318.5/403.3 J/kg for DyFe2Si2 and to be 9.88 J/kgK and 105.9/140.8 J/kg for TbFe2Si2, respectively. In search for new targets for the diagnosis and treatment of lupus nephritis (LN), we employed TMT-liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (TMT-LC–MS/MS) combined with RNA-seq and identified a panel of proteins that was dysregulated both at protein level and mRNA level in active LN patients compared with healthy controls. We chose to study the role of IGFBP2 since it is a relatively understudied protein in the context of LN. We further validated that IGFBP2 significantly increased and correlated with SLE activity index in active LN patients. The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve suggested that plasma IGFBP2 had a high diagnostic efficiency for distinguishing between inactive and active LN patients (AUC = 0.992; 95% CI = 0.974–1.000; P < 0.001). We demonstrated neutralizing IGFBP2-downregulated CD4+ T cell activation, upregulated the ratio of Treg, downregulated AKT/mTOR/4E-BP1 pathway, and significantly improved nephritis in MRL/lpr mice. In all, our work demonstrated IGFBP2 as a biomarker specific for active LN and blocking IGFBP2 could be a new target for treating LN. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to present an end‐to‐end deep convolutional neural network to improve the dual‐energy CT (DECT) material decomposition performance. Methods: In this study, we proposes a unified mutual‐domain (sinogram domain and CT domain) material decomposition network (DIRECT‐Net) for DECT imaging. By design, the DIRECT‐Net has immediate access to mutual‐domain data, and utilizes stacked convolution neural network layers for noise reduction and material decomposition. The training data are numerically generated following the fundamental DECT imaging physics. Numerical simulation of the XCAT digital phantom, experiments of a biological specimen, a calcium chloride phantom and an iodine solution phantom are carried out to evaluate the performance of DIRECT‐Net. Comparisons are performed with different DECT decomposition algorithms. Results: Results demonstrate that the proposed DIRECT‐Net can generate water and bone basis images with less artifacts compared to the other decomposition methods. Additionally, the quantification errors of the calcium chloride (75‐375 mg/cm3) and the iodine (2‐20 mg/cm3) are less than 4%. Conclusions: An end‐to‐end material decomposition network is proposed for quantitative DECT imaging. We fabricated the amorphous Ho 0.2 Tm 0.2 Gd 0.2 Co 0.2 Al 0.2 ribbon by melt-spun method and systematically investigated its glass forming ability (GFA) and magnetic properties, especially of the magnetic phase transition (MPT) and magneto-caloric (MC) effect. The melt-spun Ho 0.2 Tm 0.2 Gd 0.2 Co 0.2 Al 0.2 ribbon is found to exhibit a fully amorphous structure and good GFA. The amorphous Ho 0.2 Tm 0.2 Gd 0.2 Co 0.2 Al 0.2 ribbon undergoes a second order type MPT around 32.6 K from ferromagnetic to paramagnetic state. Large reversible low temperature MC effect and good MC performances in the amorphous Ho 0.2 Tm 0.2 Gd 0.2 Co 0.2 Al 0.2 ribbon were realized which was identified by the parameters of magnetic entropy change, temperature-averaged entropy change, and refrigerant capacity. These parameters are are at similarly high level with recently reported low temperature MC materials, making the amorphous Ho 0.2 Tm 0.2 Gd 0.2 Co 0.2 Al 0.2 ribbon also attractive for magnetic cooling. Here, Operando investigation system is constructed to explore deposition characteristics of submicron particles in electric-flow coupled fields through combining microfluidic technology for forming micro electric field on the lab-on-a-chip with micro-visualization technology for capturing dynamic deposition process. Besides, based on object detection and deep learning, an image processing method is developed which can realize automatic object detection and rapid extraction of required information. Results show that particle chain grows preferentially from the convex position to prove the influence of electrode surface roughness on the growth site. The global electric field has a positive effect on keeping particle chain growing up at upright direction, and the growth process of particle chain is proposed: forming growth site stage, grow fast stage and fluctuation stage. Particle velocity in the airflow direction presents a decrease trend during the process particle migrates towards to electrode surface, which proves the direct influence of boundary layer effect on the ultimate height of particle chain. Purpose Numerous techniques based on deep learning have been utilized in sparse view computed tomography (CT) imaging. Nevertheless, the majority of techniques are instinctively constructed utilizing state-of-the-art opaque convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and lack interpretability. Moreover, CNNs tend to focus on local receptive fields and neglect nonlocal self-similarity prior information. Obtaining diagnostically valuable images from sparsely sampled projections is a challenging and ill-posed task. Method To address this issue, we propose a unique and understandable model named DCDL-GS for sparse view CT imaging. This model relies on a network comprised of convolutional dictionary learning and a nonlocal group sparse prior. To enhance the quality of image reconstruction, we utilize a neural network in conjunction with a statistical iterative reconstruction framework and perform a set number of iterations. Inspired by group sparsity priors, we adopt a novel group thresholding operation to improve the feature representation and constraint ability and obtain a theoretical interpretation. Furthermore, our DCDL-GS model incorporates filtered backprojection (FBP) reconstruction, fast sliding window nonlocal self-similarity operations, and a lightweight and interpretable convolutional dictionary learning network to enhance the applicability of the model. Results The efficiency of our proposed DCDL-GS model in preserving edges and recovering features is demonstrated by the visual results obtained on the LDCT-P and UIH datasets. Compared to the results of the most advanced techniques, the quantitative results are enhanced, with increases of 0.6-0.8 dB for the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), 0.005-0.01 for the structural similarity index measure (SSIM), and 1-1.3 for the regulated Fréchet inception distance (rFID) on the test dataset. The quantitative results also show the effectiveness of our proposed deep convolution iterative reconstruction module and nonlocal group sparse prior. Conclusion In this paper, we create a consolidated and enhanced mathematical model by integrating projection data and prior knowledge of images into a deep iterative model. The crystal structure, microstructure, magnetic phase transitions and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) in KNaSnF6-type GdCrWO 6 and ErCrWO 6 oxides have been investigated. Both GdCrWO 6 and ErCrWO 6 oxides are confirmed to crystalize in a polar aeschynite type structure with the space group of Pna 2 1 (No.33, oP36). The grain size remains relatively average according to the SEM graph. Under low magnetic field of 0.1 T, the ErCrWO 6 oxide undergoes two successive magnetic transitions around 22 and 7 K, whereas only a weak magnetic transition around 6 K can be noticed. The paramagnetic Curie temperatures θ p are fitted to be −17.0 and −16.6 K for GdCrWO 6 and ErCrWO 6 oxides, respectively, suggesting that the antiferromagnetic (AFM) interaction is dominant at ground state. With the magnetic field change (ΔH) of 0–7 T, the peak value of magnetic entropy change (-ΔS M), refrigeration capacity (RC), relative cooling power (RCP) and 5 K lift temperature-averaged ΔS M (TEC) are figured to be 9.13 J/kg-K, 152 J/kg, 190 J/kg and 9.07 J/kg-K for GdCrWO 6 as well as to be 5.3 J/kg-K, 128 J/kg, 161 J/kg and 5.09 J/kg-K for ErCrWO 6 , respectively. The MCE parameters for GdCrWO 6 and ErCrWO 6 oxides are comparable with recently reported RE -based MCE oxides, indicating present GdCrWO 6 and ErCrWO 6 oxides also considerable for cryogenic magnetic refrigeration (MR). A heterogeneous platinum catalyst with tridentate pyridine Schiff base ligands supported on silica gel is reported. The catalyst was fully characterized via FTIR, solid-state 13C NMR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), N2 adsorption/desorption analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The magnetic refrigeration (MR) by utilizing the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of magnetic solids has been considered a promising, environmentally benign, energy-efficient cooling technology. However, the lack of promising magnetic substances has slowed the development of its active application. To identify suitable candidate materials, we herein identified the structural and magnetic properties together with the MCE and magnetocaloric performances of rare earth (RE) rich RE 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 (RE = Dy, Ho and Er) compounds. All the RE 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 compounds are confirmed to crystallized in orthogonal Ho 6 Co 2 Ga-type structure and underwent paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic magnetic transitions. Moreover, large direct (conventional) and inverse MCEs have been observed in all the RE 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 compounds. The values of peak magnetic entropy changes, temperature-averaged magnetic entropy changes with 5 K-lift and relative cooling powers under magnetic field change of 0–7 T are evaluated to be − 4.44 J/kg-K, − 4.38 J/kg-K and 230.6 J/kg for Dy 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 , to be − 12.68 J/kg-K, − 12.26 J/kg-K and 378.2 J/kg for Ho 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 , and to be − 17.52 J/kg-K, − 17.33 J/kg-K and 465.7 J/kg for Er 6 Ni 2.25 Al 0.75 , respectively. • The RE6Ni2.25Al0.75 (RE = Dy, Ho and Er) compounds are fabricated. • The structural and magnetic properties were investigated. • Large direct and inverse magnetocaloric effects were observed. • The Er6Ni2.25Al0.75 is considerable for cryogenic magnetic refrigeration. Low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) is desirable due to ionizing radiation, but the resulting images suffer from serious streak artifacts and spot noise. Recently, deep learning (DL)-based methods have emerged as promising alternatives for medical image processing. However, most DL-based methods are built intuitively and lack interpretability, and it is difficult to effectively separate the artifacts and noise in LDCT images. Obtaining diagnostically useful images, especially when using a low-dose scanner protocol, remains an open challenge. To improve the quality of LDCT images, we developed a novel processing network called the sparse autorepresentation U-Net (SureUnet). First, inspired by multilayer convolutional sparse coding (CSC), we constructed a sparse autorepresentation encoder to sufficiently capture and represent hierarchical image features. Then, we chose the widely used U-Net model for sparse autorepresentation block applications and designed SureUnet by adding a feature decoding block. Therefore, every module has well-defined interpretability in our network. Additionally, hybrid loss functions were specifically designed, including the mean absolute error, edge loss and perceptual loss. Through the cooperation of multiple loss functions, the noise artifact suppression effect of the network was improved. The visual results obtained on the MAYO and UIH datasets show that the proposed method’s noise artifact suppression effect was more significant. The quantitative results showed promising improvement levels compared to those of the other state-of-the-art methods. The SureUnet model significantly outperformed the compared methods on two datasets, with margins of 0.4 dB for the PSNR, 0.007 for the SSIM, and 1.6 for the FID on the MAYO dataset and margins of 0.5 dB for the PSNR, 0.004 for the SSIM and 2.9 for the FID on the UIH dataset. This work paves the way for sparse autorepresentation in DL for processing LDCT images. In this paper, Cu-based and Ni-based filler metals were used to obtain laser-CMT hybrid welded copper/stainless steel (Cu/SS) joints. The effect of wire compositions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of T2 Cu/304 SS dissimilar metal joint was studied. The results showed that Fe–Cu liquid phase separation occurred in the fusion zone of the Cu-based weld, and Cu penetration cracks appeared in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) on the steel side. The Cu penetration cracks formation is derived from supersaturated Cu atoms penetrating, gathering and merging at the steel side fusion line along the austenite grain boundaries. The penetration cracks can be eliminated effectively by the Ni-based filler metal, because the diffusion of Cu into the fusion zone and the HAZ on the steel side is limited significantly by the increase of Ni content. The Ni-based weld consisted of dendrite grains in the fusion zone, and Fe-rich blocks and Ni-rich islands nearby the HAZ of Cu-side. • Defect-free weld was obtained by laser-CMT hybrid welding with Ni-based wire. • Cu-based weld penetration cracks mechanism was illustrated. • The microstructures of Cu-based and Ni-based welds were compared. • The mechanism of inhibition of penetration cracks in Ni-based weld was discussed. Rare earth (RE) based RE - TM - X (TM = transition metal elements; X = P - block elements) materials have received continuous attention due to the exhibition of various intriguing magnetic functional characteristics. In this work, a combined experimental and theoretical investigation has been conducted in detail for RE Co 12 B 6 (RE = Ce, Pr, Nd) compounds with regard to their structural and magnetic properties, particularly the magnetocaloric effect and magnetic phase transition (MPT). All of the present RE Co 12 B 6 compounds are found to crystalize in the SrNi 12 B 6 -type structure and with a ferrimagnetic ground state, which is confirmed by density functional theory calculations and magnetization measurements. The magnetic moments of RE atoms and Co atoms tend to be in antiparallel alignment, and the MPT of these materials originates primarily from the spin-polarized 3 d electrons of the Co atoms, which can be greatly affected by the 4 f electrons of RE atoms. Considerable magnetocaloric effects have been observed around its own T C of 130, 157, and 160 K, for CeCo 12 B 6 , PrCo 12 B 6 , and NdCo 12 B 6 , respectively, which is related to a typical second-order MPT. The corresponding maximum magnetic entropy change and relative cooling power values,with field changes of 0–70 kOe, are determined to be 2.54, 2.84, and 2.77 J/kg K and 116.8, 156.2, and 155.1 J/kg, respectively. The MPT properties of present RE Co 12 B 6 compounds were studied in further detail by critical analysis using the modified Arrott Plot and Kouvel-Fisher methods, which can be explained within the frame of the 3D Heisenberg model with short-range magnetic interaction. • A ultiscale reweighted convolutional coding neural network (MRCON-Net) for reducing artifact noise in low-dose CT imaging is proposed. • In this work, w extend traditional CSC to its reweighted convolutional learning form. Furthermore, we use dilated convolution to extract multiscale image features, which allows our single model to capture the correlations between features of different scales. • To automatically adjust the elements in the feature code to correct the obtained solution, channel attention is utilized to learn appropriate weights. Low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) has become increasingly important for alleviating X-ray radiation damage. However, reducing the administered radiation dose may lead to degraded CT images with amplified mottle noise and nonstationary streak artifacts. Previous studies have confirmed that deep learning (DL) is promising for improving LDCT imaging. However, most DL-based frameworks are built intuitively, lack interpretability, and suffer from image detail information loss, which has become a general challenging issue. A multiscale reweighted convolutional coding neural network (MRCON-Net) is developed to address the above problems. MRCON-Net is compact and more explainable than other networks. First, inspired by the learning-based reweighted iterative soft thresholding algorithm (ISTA), we extend traditional convolutional sparse coding (CSC) to its reweighted convolutional learning form. Second, we use dilated convolution to extract multiscale image features, allowing our single model to capture the correlations between features of different scales. Finally, to automatically adjust the elements in the feature code to correct the obtained solution, a channel attention (CA) mechanism is utilized to learn appropriate weights. The visual results obtained based on the American Association of Physicians in Medicine (AAPM) Challenge and United Image Healthcare (UIH) clinical datasets confirm that the proposed model significantly reduces serious artifact noise while retaining the desired structures. Quantitative results show that the average structural similarity index measurement (SSIM) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) achieved on the AAPM Challenge dataset are 0.9491 and 40.66, respectively, and the SSIM and PSNR achieved on the UIH clinical dataset are 0.915 and 42.44, respectively; these are promising quantitative results. Compared with recent state-of-the-art methods, the proposed model achieves subtle structure-enhanced LDCT imaging. • R. pseudoacacia increased the fine particles and reduced coarse particles content. • R. pseudoacacia significantly reduced D 0 , D 1 , D 2 but increased Δα and Δf. • R. pseudoacacia suppress the coarsening and deterioration of the surface. The soil particle size distribution (PSD) is a fundamental physical property that can affect soil nutrients, soil structure characterization and soil hydraulic properties. However, the effect of plant expansion on soil PSD is not clear. Therefore, in this study, fractal theory was applied to quantitatively describe the PSD. On Mount Tai, artificial afforestation with Robinia pseudoacacia is helpful in restoring ecosystems and improving soil quality. However, clonal spread allows R. pseudoacacia to easily escape cultivation, leading to the formation of mixed forests. Therefore, exploring the effect of R. pseudoacacia expansion on soil PSD is important. The results show that 1) R. pseudoacacia expansion increased the clay and silt contents and reduced the sand content; 2) R. pseudoacacia expansion significantly reduced the capacity dimension, entropy dimension, and correlation dimension and increased the width and asymmetry of the singularity spectra but was unrelated to the entropy dimension/capacity dimension; and 3) the capacity dimension was significantly positively correlated with the sand content and significantly negatively correlated with the silt and clay contents, but the asymmetry of the soil PSD was inconsistent with the capacity dimension. In summary, R. pseudoacacia can reduce the heterogeneity of the PSD by increasing the distribution range and density of the PSD. The structural, magnetic, and magnetocaloric properties of Ni 44 Mn 45-x Sn 11 Fe x (x = 0, 1, 2 and 3) Heusler alloys have been studied detailly by means of X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, and magnetization measurements. The martensitic transition temperature (T M) and austenite Curie temperature (T A C) increase gradually with increasing Fe content. Large differences in magnetization between the ferromagnetic austenite and weakly magnetic martensite phases and obvious thermal hysteresis have also been observed during the martensite transformation. With the magnetic field change up to 0–7 T, the maximum value of magnetic entropy changes reaches 26.7 and 23 J kg−1K−1 for x = 1 and 2, respectively, which are much larger than the undoped sample (9.8 J kg−1K−1). Whereas, the effective refrigerant capacity RC eff reduced due to Fe doping increased the hysteresis loss. The alloy for x = 1 has highest RC value of 172 (255) J kg−1 for a magnetic field change of 0–5 T (0–7 T), furthermore, a large magnetic entropy change and moderate RC eff has been obtained around room temperature. • Fe-doped Ni44Mn45-xSn11Fex (x = 0, 1, 2 and 3) Heusler alloys were fabricated. • Structural and magnetic properties of Ni44Mn45-xSn11Fex were investigated. • Considerable magnetocaloric performances in Ni44Mn44Sn11Fe were realized.
