Child abuse affects millions of children globally. Comprehensive training is essential to promote its recognition and trigger appropriate responses to prevent missed opportunities for intervention. We describe a child abuse and child protection training programme for University of Ghana Medical School students and the cross-sectional survey of student assessment at the end. The programme comprised a lectures, dissertations, community surveys, case reports, public health advocacy topics, and poster designs. These were carried out as part of regular coursework in community health, using individual and group—methods. It culminated in a one-day whole-class seminar after their final examinations with completion and analyses of self-administered student assessment questionnaires. The seminar comprised nineteen 10-min oral presentations, twelve poster presentations on community surveys and dissertations, nine educative posters, three leaflets and a question-and-answer session. The training involved 208 students, and 126 completed the questionnaires. The majority of the students had good knowledge (80–100%). They correctly identified the types (91%), risk factors (87%), and gained clarity in selected areas. Added benefits were awards, a book of abstracts and summaries, policy brief and continuous professional development points for doctors. This training programme exemplifies the establishment of medical education in the context of the needs of the population to—be served.

The purpose of the research paper is to study the didactic workload of M. Hrushevskyi at Lviv University, the weekly schedule of his classes, the peculiarities of delivering lectures and seminars, as well as communication with the faculty administration. The methodological basis of the work is an interdisciplinary approach. Particular emphasis is placed on the structural and functional systematic analysis of historiographical facts and the comparative and historical method proceeding from the principles of objectivity and historicism. The scientific novelty of the study is in the first special attempt at a comprehensive reconstruction of the image of M. Hrushevskyi as a professor at Lviv University. Conclusions. The teaching activity of M. Hrushevskyi at Lviv University was intended to realize the idea of Kyiv and Lviv populists to successfully transform Galicia into a national 'Piedmont'. Thus, a prominent historian had to implement the educational component of that cultural and social project, training new representatives of Ukrainianists from among the studying youth of the main educational institution of the region. In accordance with that mission, he developed and sequentially, by periods delivered lecture courses on national history and the history of Eastern Europe region. Encouraged by such issues, the students deepened their specialization in Ukrainian studies at a scientific seminar and various special courses given by M. Hrushevskyi in the fields of political, socio-cultural, and regional history. That purely didactic process, focused on a thorough grounding of the historical subjectivity of the Ukrainian people, had the expected social effect. It consisted in the development of the struggle for the cultural rights of Ukrainians within the walls of Lviv University. It was M. Hrushevskyi who became the ideologist of those efforts and, in his own professorial practice, fundamentally affirmed the Ukrainian voice in the national polyphony of the University, setting an example for his more moderate colleagues K. Studynskyi and O. Kolessa. The result of the prominent scholar's professorial activity was numerous representatives of the national intelligentsia, who during the 20th century completed his large-scale work on the integration of Ukrainian narratives into the world historical process. Degradation of ethics and morality during adolescence poses a threat that can hinder or even jeopardize the future of teenagers. This counseling is conducted to provide education and a deep understanding of how teenagers can build strong morals and develop positive adolescent ethics. The counseling uses the PAR approach with the aid of media such as laptops, LCD projectors, and materials as primary tools for conveying information. The results of the counseling show: the event was conducted very well, with excellent interaction between the presenter and participants. The presenter effectively and smoothly delivered information about ethics and morality, the causes of their decline, and strategies for prevention. Conclusion: The counseling on ethics and morality has a positive psychological impact as participants are able to understand the material well.

The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing rapid evolution, characterized by a complex regulatory landscape and the need for diverse skill sets. This study aimed to assess pharmacy students’ perceptions of the pharmaceutical industry and the impact of a dedicated seminar on their career aspirations and knowledge. A pre-post online survey was administered to 55 undergraduate pharmacy students at the National Pharmacy Seminar 2024, hosted by Jakarta Global University. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test (p ≤0.05). Results indicate a strong preference for careers in state-owned pharmaceutical companies (63.6%) and research and development departments (34%). The seminar significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of pharmacists’ roles, industry complexities, drug development challenges, and regulatory requirements. Notably, 93% of participants reported that the seminar met their expectations and provided valuable insights for future career exploration. These findings underscore the importance of educational interventions in shaping pharmacy students’ career trajectories and aligning their knowledge with the dynamic pharmaceutical industry.

Clinical pharmacology is an important discipline that bridges clinical medicine and pharmacology. In the teaching practice, it is necessary to keep up with educational reform and adopt the seminar teaching method combined with case-based learning (CBL), so as to practically improve the benefits of both 'teaching' and 'learning'. The teaching of ideology and politics in the curriculum is the key to cultivate students' high sense of responsibility and noble medical ethics, and realize the goal of moral education. At present, in the teaching of clinical pharmacology of antineoplastic drugs, there are problems such as students' weak basic knowledge of oncology pharmacology, separation of 'teaching' and 'learning' due to the traditional teaching method, outdated teaching materials, and low motivation of students. Therefore, this paper takes this part of the course teaching as an example to initially explore the role of the innovative model of 'Seminar-CBL-Ideological and Political Education ' in the teaching practice of clinical pharmacology, with the hope of stimulating the students' interest in learning, cultivating students' correct outlook on the world, life, and values, achieving the goals of 'teaching' and 'learning', and providing reference for optimizing clinical pharmacology education.

In this study, a public seminar on risk communication methods was conducted to raise awareness and disseminate accurate knowledge about residual pesticides to consumers. Additionally, surveys on consumer awareness were conducted on the attendees before and after the seminar to evaluate its effectiveness. Responses were obtained from 84 participants. The paired t-test was used to analyze the changes in awareness before and after the seminar. The results showed significant improvements in “trust in the government” and “understanding of residual pesticides.” Furthermore, step-wise multiple regression analysis was performed to explore the factors influencing satisfaction with the risk communication seminar, and the item “understanding of the safety of residual pesticides in food” was extracted. Understanding food safety is a crucial concern in daily life for consumers. To enable consumers to have an accurate understanding of food risks and make appropriate judgments, it is essential to continue implementing risk communication and conveying information about food safety and security in the future. Das Thema „Behinderung“ sowie Begegnungen mit beeinträchtigten Personen können bei nichtbeeinträchtigten Menschen – und somit ggf. auch bei Lehramtsstudierenden – Unsicherheiten und Ängste auslösen. In diesem Beitrag wird ein Seminarkonzept vorgestellt, das darauf ausgerichtet ist, angehende Lehrkräfte mit unterschiedlichen Lebensbedingungen beeinträchtigter Menschen, deren Sicht auf Behinderung und deren Problemlagen im Hinblick auf gesellschaftliche und soziale Bedingungen vertraut zu machen. Zentrales Anliegen ist es dabei, die Teilnehmer*innen mit ihren eigenen Erfahrungen, Unsicherheiten und Ängsten im Hinblick auf Behinderung bzw. beeinträchtigte Menschen zu konfrontieren und sie zu ermutigen, ihre (emotionale) Beziehung zum Thema zu klären, um ihnen so für ihre spätere Tätigkeit in beruflichen Kontexten (zum Beispiel in der Schule als Lehrkraft) einen sicheren Umgang mit beeinträchtigten Personen und deren Bedarfen zu ermöglichen. In diesem Seminar steht nicht allein die Vermittlung von Fakten im Vordergrund, sondern das inhaltliche Interesse, die persönliche – durch die eigene Biografie geprägte – Haltung sowie die Emotionen der Teilnehmenden bei der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema „Behinderung“. Die Teilnehmenden sind an der inhaltlichen und organisatorischen Gestaltung des Seminars beteiligt. In diesem Beitrag werden die hochschuldidaktische Konzeption, die theoretische Fundierung und die bisherigen Erfahrungen mit dem Seminar erläutert und Materialien zur Nachnutzung zur Verfügung gestellt.

This article explores the integration of Socratic and seminar teaching methods in basic medical education for nursing students. The study aims to find alternative approaches to nursing education that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and prepare students for the healthcare industry. The research findings indicate that the group using the integrated teaching methods achieved higher scores in practical training, basic theory, and innovation ability compared to the control group. This suggests that the integrated teaching methods offer a more comprehensive learning experience for nursing students. The article also highlights the importance of critical thinking in medicine and discusses the teaching methods of Socrates, an ancient Greek philosopher. The Socratic and Seminar teaching method, which encourages student participation and active learning, has proven effective in medical education by fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and readiness for the challenges of modern healthcare. Lacan's seminars are a treasure trove of innovative psychoanalytic explorations. In Seminar X, Anxiety, he takes up this Freudian theme and explores a number of interrelated ideas: castration, the difference between the sexes, two different forms of acting out, and what he terms his only original theoretical contribution: the object a and its "various incidences." The object a is described here in detail, especially in relation to Lacan's argument that analysts who are women have a freer relationship to their desire and the countertransferences it spawns than do men. Lacan discussed Lucia Tower's classic paper, "Countertransference," in light of these notions. In an interplay between the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic and topology, this paper presents material for a capstone seminar that expands on ideas from number theory, analysis, and linear algebra. It is designed to generate an immersive way of learning in which students discover new connections between familiar concepts, create definitions, and investigate non-standard questions. The ideas are arranged as a series of questions for students to explore, with expositions to the instructor on how to guide them in looking for answers. The investigations culminate in a satisfying outcome: that partition topologies are the same as unique factorization topologies, those that satisfy our topological version of the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic. الملخص: أهداف البحث: تعمل الاستراتيجيات التعليمية المتمحورة حول الطالب مثل التعلم القائم على حل المشكلات والتعلم المستند إلى الحالة والتعلم القائم على الفريق والندوات على تعزيز التعلم الجماعي للطلاب والتعلم الذاتي. أجريت هذه الدراسة لتقييم تحصيل الطلاب في موضوعات علم التشريح التي تم تقديمها من خلال جلسات التعلم القائم على الفريق والندوات. بالإضافة إلى استبانة أولويات الطلاب فيما يتعلق بهاتين الطريقتين في تعلم التشريح. طرق البحث: يتم إجراء جلسات التعلم القائم على الفريق من خلال اختبار ضمان الجاهزية الفردية، واختبار ضمان جاهزية المجموعة، والمحاضرة المصغرة، وتمارين التطبيق. بينما تتكون الندوة من الاختبار القبلي ومن ثم محاضرة من قبل الأقران ثم الاختبار البعدي. تمت مقارنة أداء 117 طالبا في ثلاث جلسات من التعلم القائم على الفريق وثلاث ندوات بعد معايرة الأسئلة. جميع الطلاب ملتحقين بالسنة الثانية (عددهم 42) والثالثة (عددهم 40) والرابعة (عددهم 35) في كلية الطب بجامعة بيشة خلال العام الدراسي (2019-2020). النتائج: لوحظت زيادة تدريجية في متوسط درجات جلسات التعلم القائم على الفريق بين السنوات المختلفة حيث كان المتوسط لطلاب السنة الثانية (68.6 ± 9.56) ولطلاب السنة الثالثة (82.8 ± 12.25) ولطلاب السنة الرابعة (92.7 ± 4.70) بينما كانت ثابتة تقريبا في درجات الندوات حيث كان المتوسط لطلاب السنة الثانية (80.0 ± 9.66) ولطلاب السنة الثالثة (85.11 ± 10.16) ولطلاب السنة الرابعة (85.9 ± 8.80). أسفرت نتائج استخدام اختبار ''كوهينز دي'' (للتحقق من قوة العلاقة بين النشاطين) لطلاب السنة الثانية عن 1.03 ولطلاب السنة الثالثة 0.16 ولطلاب السنة الرابعة 0.74 . كما تم تحليل نتائج استبيان الإدراك والتفضيل المستلمة من 39 طالبا من طلاب السنة الثانية و 35 طالبا من طلاب السنة الثالثة و 28 طالبا من طلاب السنة الرابعة. اختار غالبية الطلاب التعلم القائم على الفريق كطريقة تعلم مفضلة لديهم بينما كان مستوى القبول ضعيف جدا فيما يتعلق بالندوات. الاستنتاجات: يمكن أن نستنتج أن التعلم القائم على الفريق أكثر إفادة للطلاب حتى في العلوم العملية الأساسية مثل علم التشريح و ذلك في الغالب بسبب تعليم الأقران الجماعي الذي يعزز الشعور بالمنافسة الجماعية بدلا من طبيعة التعلم الذاتي للندوات التي قد تكبح الشعور بالمنافسة. Abstract: Objectives: Student-centered educational strategies like problem-based learning (PBL), case-based learning (CBL), team-based learning (TBL), and seminars enhance group and self-learning. This study was carried out to evaluate students' achievements in anatomy topics delivered through TBL sessions and seminars and to survey student preferences regarding these two modalities in anatomy learning. Methods: TBL was conducted through individual readiness assurance tests (IRATs), group readiness assurance tests (GRATs), mini-lectures, and application exercises. Seminars included pretests, peer lecturing, and posttests. The performance of 117 students in three TBL sessions and three seminars was compared after standardizing the questions. The students were second-year (42), third-year (40), and fourth-year (35) students at the College of Medicine, University of Bisha, KSA, during the 2019/2020 academic year. Results: A gradual increase in the means of TBL grades was noticed among second-, third-, and four-year students (means ± SD: 68.6 ± 9.56, 82.8 ± 12.25, and 92.7 ± 4.70, respectively), but their seminar grades were nearly stationary (means ± SD: 80.0 ± 9.66, 85.11 ± 10.16, and 85.9 ± 8.80, respectively). Cohen's d-test to check the strength of the relationship between the two activities showed 1.03, 0.16, and 0.74 in the same order. We statistically analyzed perception and preference questionnaire results received from 39, 35, and 28 second-, third-, and four-year students, respectively. The majority of the students selected TBL as their preferred learning modality. However, their acceptance of the seminars was very poor Conclusions: It can be concluded that TBL is more beneficial to the students, even in practical sciences like anatomy, most likely because group peer teaching enhances the sense of collegial competition, as opposed to the self-learning nature of seminars, which might suppress the sense of competition.

Thematic learning becomes very important in the era of the 2013 curriculum and also the current independent learning curriculum, the output of the two curricula is strengthening the processes and learning outcomes for students. The seminar was conducted with the aim of strengthening and increasing the teacher's pegagogical competence, especially in terms of learning innovation. The seminar was conducted offline with a duration of 200 minutes on August 29 2022 at UPTD SDN Pangilen 3 Sampang which was attended by 8 teachers. The speaker uses the help of a laptop as a medium for delivering material. The results of the seminar implementation: 1) The first speaker gave material about holistic and meaningful learning, the second speaker gave authentic and active learning material. 2) The seminar runs actively as evidenced by lively discussions. 3) The results of the teacher's seminar increasingly understand and can practice holistic, meaningful, authentic and active learning in front of the presenters. The impact of this seminar is as a reference material and study for other schools, especially rural schools that have not implemented thematic learning as a whole.

This community service activity aims to provide public health education regarding the prevention of stunting. Counseling in the form of seminars was used in this service. This service targeted the mothers in the village of Sei Merah, Deli Serdang Regency. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a questionnaire and interviews, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this service indicated that pregnant women's level of understanding of nutrition was still low because they had never followed counseling guidance. However, after this service seminar was conducted, there was a change in increasing the understanding of mothers regarding stunting prevention, namely by steps of (1) fulfilling nutrition during pregnancy, (2) fulfilling child nutrition optimally, (3) practicing proper hygiene, (4) overcoming children who have difficulty eating, and (5) consultation with the health care team.

Research seminars are a staple within biology and other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) departments across academic institutions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, academic institutions across the U.S. had to rapidly transition courses, research programs, and other events from in-person to virtual environments—and departmental research seminars were no exception. We explored the perceptions of biology department seminar speakers and organizers regarding the benefits and challenges they experienced in the virtual format. We asked three primary research questions: (1) What challenges and benefits do invited seminar speakers in biology departments perceive regarding presenting seminars in the virtual environment? (2) What challenges and benefits do organizers of biology department seminars perceive regarding organizing seminars in the virtual environment? (3) How did biology department seminars change during the transition from an in-person to virtual format? In total, 39 seminar organizers and 90 seminar speakers completed surveys focused on their perceptions of virtual seminars. Using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis, we found that numerous benefits and challenges are perceived by seminar speakers and organizers regarding virtual seminars. Speakers and organizers perceived similar benefits of virtual seminars including accessibility and diversity, while perceived challenges included the loss of professional networking opportunities and academic community. There was overwhelming consensus from speakers and organizers alike that virtual departmental seminars are professionally and academically valuable. However, while speakers’ chief motivator was in furthering their own networks, research collaborations, and research visibility, organizers primarily valued their own students’ or trainees’ career development as well as their own departmental community. Together, these findings demonstrate the potential benefits of continuing virtual seminars outside of the context of the COVID-19 pandemic from an equity perspective while also highlighting issues that must be addressed by organizers and attendees to ensure seminars retain their value.

The seminar on “Librarian Professional Spirit Development”, sponsored by the University Library Working Committee of the Ministry of Education, undertaken by the University Library Working Committee of Liaoning Province, and co-organized by Liaoning Branch of Tongfang Knowledge Network (Beijing)Technology Co., Ltd., was held online from November 10th to 11th, 2022.Eleven famous domestic experts shared their reports and practical experience. Focusing on the theme from “librarian’s professional spirit cultivation” to “librarian’s core competence cultivation”, the seminar encourage librarians to twined closely the development goals of the library with the development needs of individuals, explore new ideas, accept new challenges, embark on a new journey, work hard, and promote the library cause to rise to the forefront of the times, and create a new century of glory. The article deals with the digitalization process of the national education under conditions of digitalization of the global space. It is emphasized that in the context of increasing global challenges, it is relevant to study the impact of global processes on higher education and educational relations taking into account the impact of globalization on all spheres of social life, including education. The main purpose of the article is to highlight the issue of the possibilities of digitalization of the national education, problems, and prospects for the development of this process. It is proved that modern society responds positively to innovative processes related to the digitalization of society and education. In addition, the latest global trends have prompted all participants in the domestic educational process to intensify their efforts in improving information competence. Two important factors concerning the implementation of this process within the framework of modern educational activities are elucidated. First, it is about the emergence of a new type of communication between a lecturer and a student (the so-called "cold" communication), which goes beyond the classical one. These are, for example, WhatsApp, Zoom, Messenger, e-mail, Instagram, etc. The mental stability of all communication participants and the didactic capabilities of the Internet are highlighted as the second factor of the indicated communication. Based on the analyzed material, a conclusion that the consumer possibility of social networks has great potential is made. These resources provide the organization of educational interaction, both in the educational process and beyond, making it possible to apply elements of educational technologies, thereby increasing the involvement of students in the process of cognition and learning. The positive aspects include the variability of using social networks for educational purposes in learning and teaching activities. Aspects that require special attention are the low level of literacy in the IT industry and the inertness of the transition from a traditional form of labor to a digitalized one, which also requires some time to review its normative regulation. The department of English language of the College of Education, Majmaah University, has been running weekly/periodical seminars for well over 10 years now. Adopting an interdisciplinary take, these seminars discuss a wide range of topics in both theoretical and applied linguistics, teacher education, EFL theories, SLA, literature, culture studies, research methodology, interdisciplinary, etc. The practice has been uniquely branding the department academically and professionally, painting its distinct academic identity. This paper explored the practice deeply to find out the extent to which it has influenced the academic and professional development of the faculty members of the department. The seminar practices were probed drawing on the literature of Community of Practice (CoP) and the concept of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) (Lave & Wenger, 1991; Swales, 2017; Wenger, 1998). Three forms of grounded qualitative data were collected and triangulated. These included observational field notes, semi-structured interviews and reflective reports. The findings suggest that the long practice of the seminars has profoundly impacted the academic and professional/academic identity/professional development of the participants. The practice was also found to fit very well into the paradigms of Community of Practice resulting in a unique interactive learning, individual and professional and identity. Attracting more students to nuclear medicine is imperative to improving diversity and meeting growing staffing needs. In this study, we implemented a short seminar about nuclear medicine and evaluated its impact on student perceptions of the field. We developed and presented 30-minute "Introduction to Nuclear Medicine" seminars to undergraduate college students and preclinical medical students. After the seminars, participants completed a post-pre survey to determine perceived changes to their perspective of nuclear medicine. Responses were coded on a Likert 1-5 scale with pre- and post- seminar results compared using T-test of means and analysis of variance. Of the 83 students who attended the seminar, 79 (95.1%) students participated in the survey including 67 preclinical medical students and 12 undergraduate students. Of the 78 participants who provided demographic information, there were 38 (48.7%) women, 5 (6.4%) first-generation college students, and 39 (50.0%) people who identified as either multiracial or a race other than White/Caucasian. Among all participants (n = 79), there was a significant increase in perceived understanding of nuclear medicine (p < 0.001), confidence in ability to pursue nuclear medicine (p < 0.001), and interest in becoming a nuclear medicine professional (p < 0.001). Perceived increases in knowledge were highest among first-year medical students (p = 0.031), while interest (p = 0.40) and confidence (p = 0.85) in pursuing nuclear medicine did not vary by educational level. Perceptions of student interest in nuclear medicine can be improved using an easily implemented, short seminar at the undergraduate college and preclinical medical school level. Abstract Increasing access, representation, and retention of underrepresented groups is essential across academia. Invited speaker seminars are common practice in academic science departments and serve to disseminate research, establish connections and collaborations, advance faculty careers, and connect trainees to mentors outside of departmental faculty. Thus, lack of representation among seminar speakers can affect both faculty and trainee professional development. This study characterizes gender demographics of seminar speakers across science departments at an R1 institution for the years 2015–2019, using pronoun usage as a proxy for gender identity. We found that most faculty and invited speakers were male, and few were female or nonbinary. The percentage of female and nonbinary invited speakers increased from 2015–2019 along with the percentage of female and nonbinary host faculty. Overall, male faculty hosted fewer female and nonbinary speakers than their female and nonbinary faculty colleagues. This study provides evidence for a correlation between faculty identity and the scientists they host at their department and motivates further studies investigating this relationship at other R1 institutions and institution types.

This evaluation aims to get an overview of the implementation of the National Seminar: Building a Digital Metaverse Ecosystem in Libraries. The description of the implementation becomes the basis of measuring the level of success of the seminar. Excess becomes something that should be maintained and improved. The deficiencies become a reflection and input for the implementation of the next seminar. This evaluation was conducted using a descriptive approach and quantitative research methods. The instruments used questionnaire using Likert scales. The respondents were seminar participants that were present at the time of implementation and obtained 51 respondents that filled out the survey link. The data which was collected was quantitative data, processed by SPSS 20 and then analyzed descriptively. The theory used as the basis is Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation theory. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of the seminar has gone well and the material which was presented, answered the needs of the participants. The topics that were presented attracted and answered the needs of information participants. According to the objectives of the seminar, the materials answered the challenges to community need in the Society 5.0 era. The resource person conveys the material clearly, easy to understand, structured manner and understandable. The quality of the audio and images was interesting enough to make the participants comfortable and easy to understand the materials. Objective: To determine the impact of the information seminar on breast cancer awareness among the medical and nursing students of CMH institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Multan Pakistan. Study Design: Prospective Comparative Study. Place and Duration of Study: One-day seminar at CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Multan Pakistan. Methodology: A one-day seminar on breast cancer awareness was arranged at CMH Institute of Medical Sciences Multan Pakistan for 3rd and 4th-year MBBS and 3rd-year BSc Nursing students. A total of 137 participants were recruited. Participants were selected by non-probability consecutive sampling. A validated 13-question questionnaire was designed to assess participants' basic knowledge of breast cancer and breast self-examination (BSE). Results: The mean age of participants was 21.27±0.99 years. 30(21.9%) were males and 107(78.1%) were female students. Before the seminar, approximately half of the students were correct about the demographics and presentation of breast cancer which increased to more than 80% in all avenues post-seminar (p<0.001). The most significant improvement was the correct responses regarding the age at which BSE should begin. Its frequency and correct technique pre-seminar were 75(54.7%), 51(37.2%) and 23(16.8%), which in post-seminar were 98(71.5%), 106(77.4%) and 75(54.7%) respectively (p<0.001). The article deals with the digitalization process of the national education under conditions of digitalization of the global space. It is emphasized that in the context of increasing global challenges, it is relevant to study the impact of global processes on higher education and educational relations taking into account the impact of globalization on all spheres of social life, including education. The main purpose of the article is to highlight the issue of the possibilities of digitalization of the national education, problems, and prospects for the development of this process. It is proved that modern society responds positively to innovative processes related to the digitalization of society and education. In addition, the latest global trends have prompted all participants in the domestic educational process to intensify their efforts in improving information competence. Two important factors concerning the implementation of this process within the framework of modern educational activities are elucidated. First, it is about the emergence of a new type of communication between a lecturer and a student (the so-called "cold" communication), which goes beyond the classical one. These are, for example, WhatsApp, Zoom, Messenger, e-mail, Instagram, etc. The mental stability of all communication participants and the didactic capabilities of the Internet are highlighted as the second factor of the indicated communication. Based on the analyzed material, a conclusion that the consumer possibility of social networks has great potential is made. These resources provide the organization of educational interaction, both in the educational process and beyond, making it possible to apply elements of educational technologies, thereby increasing the involvement of students in the process of cognition and learning. The positive aspects include the variability of using social networks for educational purposes in learning and teaching activities. Aspects that require special attention are the low level of literacy in the IT industry and the inertness of the transition from a traditional form of labor to a digitalized one, which also requires some time to review its normative regulation. The problem of translation confronts every English, or French-language reader of Geschlecht III, from its title page on, by way of Derrida's decision not to translate the German noun Geschlecht. In this paper, I explore the stakes of Derrida's refusal to translate, by situating it within the context of the 1984–5 seminar, 'Philosophical Nationality and Nationalism', from which the text of Geschlecht III was taken. I show that the question of translation is already at the heart of that seminar, which concerns the place of the idiom in philosophy, and why approaching the difficulty posed by the untranslatability of a term like Geschlecht might be the very objective of Derrida's reading of Heidegger on Trakl. The article addresses the problem of higher education didactics and emphasizes methodological aspects of the case study-based seminar. After disclosing several main aspects based on the specialized literature analysis, some specific aspects of the case study-based seminar in higher pedagogical education are stated. Examples from primary education teaching staff university training practice at “Ion Creanga” State Pedagogical University of Chisinau are suggested, and a methodological model for case study-based seminar in higher pedagogical education is generalized.

Service-learning is growing gradually in European higher education. It aims to instil a sense of civic engagement and responsibility in students and work towards positive social change within society while developing curricular competencies. For some advocates, Paulo Freire’s workings would serve as a theoretical anchor for service-learning since he imagined education as fostering a critical and active citizenry. This paper addresses the influence his writings have had on European practitioners. Qualitative data collected by the EOSLHE has been analysed and a content analysis was made of the descriptive summaries of 144 experiences. The Freirean notion of seminar applied to service-learning systematises popular wisdom and contributes to a new sense of evolving the social identities of the students toward a fairer society.

The materials of the article introduce a prominent personality in the art pedagogy of Poltava Oblast in the middle of the 20th century - Olena Kostyantynivna Natalevich, whose teaching school was known far beyond the borders of Ukraine. The authors of the article set themselves the goal of recreating the portrait of O.K. Natalevich - a teacher, mentor, musician, concertmaster - based on the memories of her students and archival files, to show the heredity of the generations of Olena Kostyantynivna's school in Ukraine and on European grounds, to emphasize her moral and human qualities, the cohesion of her class of students, their love for their the teacher The materials of the article include archival files of the Poltava College of Arts, as well as materials of two International Art Readings dedicated to the memory of O.K. Natalevich, to her 95th and 100th anniversaries. We can talk a lot about her pedagogical methods, but our task was to recreate the portrait of an outstanding personality, a teacher and educator, a musician, just a highly moral person. In the musical circles of Ukraine and beyond, the memory of O.K. Natalevich, musicians consult with her pedagogical principles, with her internal moral, aesthetic and musical orientations.
