Establishing an accurate and robust feature fusion mechanism is key to enhancing the tracking performance of single-object trackers based on a Siamese network. However, the output features of the depth-wise cross-correlation feature fusion module in fully convolutional trackers based on Siamese networks cannot establish global dependencies on the feature maps of a search area. This paper proposes a dynamic cascade feature fusion (DCFF) module by introducing a local feature guidance (LFG) module and dynamic attention modules (DAMs) after the depth-wise cross-correlation module to enhance the global dependency modeling capability during the feature fusion process. In this paper, a set of verification experiments is designed to investigate whether establishing global dependencies for the features output by the depth-wise cross-correlation operation can significantly improve the performance of fully convolutional trackers based on a Siamese network, providing experimental support for rational design of the structure of a dynamic cascade feature fusion module. Secondly, we integrate the dynamic cascade feature fusion module into the tracking framework based on a Siamese network, propose SiamDCFF, and evaluate it using public datasets. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly growing network that shares information over the Internet via interconnected devices. In addition, this network has led to new security challenges in recent years. One of the biggest challenges is the impact of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on the IoT. The Information-Centric Network (ICN) infrastructure is a critical component of the IoT. The ICN has gained recognition as a promising networking solution for the IoT by supporting IoT devices to be able to communicate and exchange data with each other over the Internet. Moreover, the ICN provides easy access and straightforward security to IoT content. However, the integration of IoT devices into the ICN introduces new security challenges, particularly in the form of DoS attacks. These attacks aim to disrupt or disable the normal operation of the ICN, potentially leading to severe consequences for IoT applications. Machine learning (ML) is a powerful technology. This paper proposes a new approach for developing a robust and efficient solution for detecting DoS attacks in ICN-IoT networks using ML technology. ML is a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) that focuses on the development of algorithms. While several ML algorithms have been explored in the literature, including neural networks, decision trees (DTs), clustering algorithms, XGBoost, J48, multilayer perceptron (MLP) with backpropagation (BP), deep neural networks (DNNs), MLP-BP, RBF-PSO, RBF-JAYA, and RBF-TLBO, researchers compare these detection approaches using classification metrics such as accuracy. This classification metric indicates that SVM, RF, and KNN demonstrate superior performance compared to other alternatives. The proposed approach was carried out on the NDN architecture because, based on our findings, it is the most used one and has a high percentage of various types of cyberattacks. This paper proposes a scheme for predicting ground reaction force (GRF) and center of pressure (CoP) using low-cost FSR sensors. GRF and CoP data are commonly collected from smart insoles to analyze the wearer's gait and diagnose balance issues. This approach can be utilized to improve a user's rehabilitation process and enable customized treatment plans for patients with specific diseases, making it a useful technology in many fields. However, the conventional measuring equipment for directly monitoring GRF and CoP values, such as F-Scan, is expensive, posing a challenge to commercialization in the industry. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a technology to predict relevant indicators using only low-cost Force Sensing Resistor (FSR) sensors instead of expensive equipment. In this study, data were collected from subjects simultaneously wearing a low-cost FSR Sensor and an F-Scan device, and the relationship between the collected data sets was analyzed using supervised learning techniques. Using the proposed technique, an artificial neural network was constructed that can derive a predicted value close to the actual F-Scan values using only the data from the FSR Sensor. In this process, GRF and CoP were calculated using six virtual forces instead of the pressure value of the entire sole. It was verified through various simulations that it is possible to achieve an improved prediction accuracy of more than 30% when using the proposed technique compared to conventional prediction techniques. Side-scan sonar plays a crucial role in underwater exploration, and the autonomous detection of side-scan sonar images is vital for detecting unknown underwater environments. However, due to the complexity of the underwater environment, the presence of a few highlighted areas on the targets, blurred feature details, and difficulty in collecting data from side-scan sonar, achieving high-precision autonomous target recognition in side-scan sonar images is challenging. This article addresses this problem by improving the You Only Look Once v7 (YOLOv7) model to achieve high-precision object detection in side-scan sonar images. Firstly, given that side-scan sonar images contain large areas of irrelevant information, this paper introduces the Swin-Transformer for dynamic attention and global modeling, which enhances the model's focus on the target regions. Secondly, the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) is utilized to further improve feature representation and enhance the neural network model's accuracy. Lastly, to address the uncertainty of geometric features in side-scan sonar target features, this paper innovatively incorporates a feature scaling factor into the YOLOv7 model. The experiment initially verified the necessity of attention mechanisms in the public dataset. Subsequently, experiments on our side-scan sonar (SSS) image dataset show that the improved YOLOv7 model has 87.9% and 49.23% in its average accuracy ( m A P 0.5 ) and ( m A P 0.5:0.95), respectively. These results are 9.28% and 8.41% higher than the YOLOv7 model. The occurrence of maize diseases is frequent but challenging to manage. Traditional identification methods have low accuracy and complex model structures with numerous parameters, making them difficult to implement on mobile devices. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a corn leaf disease recognition model SNMPF based on convolutional neural network ShuffleNetV2. In the down-sampling module of the ShuffleNet model, the max pooling layer replaces the deep convolutional layer to perform down-sampling. This improvement helps to extract key features from images, reduce the overfitting of the model, and improve the model's generalization ability. In addition, to enhance the model's ability to express features in complex backgrounds, the Sim AM attention mechanism was introduced. This mechanism enables the model to adaptively adjust focus and pay more attention to local discriminative features. The results on a maize disease image dataset demonstrate that the SNMPF model achieves a recognition accuracy of 98.40%, representing a 4.1 percentage point improvement over the original model, while its size is only 1.56 MB. Compared with existing convolutional neural network models such as EfficientNet, MobileViT, EfficientNetV2, RegNet, and DenseNet, this model offers higher accuracy and a more compact size. As a result, it can automatically detect and classify maize leaf diseases under natural field conditions, boasting high-precision recognition capabilities. Aiming at the shortcomings of single-sensor sensing information characterization ability, which is easily interfered with by external environmental factors, a method of intelligent perception is proposed in this paper. This method integrates multi-source and multi-level information, including spindle temperature field, spindle thermal deformation, operating parameters, and motor current. Firstly, the internal and external thermal-error-related signals of the spindle system are collected by sensors, and the feature parameters are extracted; then, the radial basis function (RBF) neural network is utilized to realize the preliminary integration of the feature parameters because of the advantages of the RBF neural network, which offers strong multi-dimensional solid nonlinear mapping ability and generalization ability. Thermal-error decision values are then generated by a weighted fusion of different pieces of evidence by considering uncertain information from multiple sources. The spindle thermal-error sensing experiment was based on the spindle system of the VMC850 (Yunnan Machine Tool Group Co., LTD, Yunnan, China) vertical machining center of the Yunnan Machine Tool Factory. Experiments were designed for thermal-error sensing of the spindle under constant speed (2000 r/min and 4000 r/min), standard variable speed, and stepped variable speed conditions. The experiment's results show that the prediction accuracy of the intelligent-sensing model with multi-source information fusion can reach 98.1%, 99.3%, 98.6%, and 98.8% under the above working conditions, respectively. The intelligent-perception model proposed in this paper has higher accuracy and lower residual error than the traditional BP neural network perception and wavelet neural network models. This paper addresses issues concerning biometric authentication based on handwritten signatures. Our research aimed to check whether a handwritten signature acquired with a mobile device can effectively verify a user's identity. We present a novel online signature verification method using coordinates of points and pressure values at each point collected with a mobile device. Convolutional neural networks are used for signature verification. In this paper, three neural network models are investigated, i.e., two self-made light SigNet and SigNetExt models and the VGG-16 model commonly used in image processing. The convolutional neural networks aim to determine whether the acquired signature sample matches the class declared by the signer. Thus, the scenario of closed set verification is performed. The effectiveness of our method was tested on signatures acquired with mobile phones. We used the subset of the multimodal database, MobiBits, that was captured using a custom-made application and consists of samples acquired from 53 people of diverse ages. The experimental results on accurate data demonstrate that developed architectures of deep neural networks can be successfully used for online handwritten signature verification. AUVs are autonomous underwater robots equipped with advanced sensors and navigation systems. Due to the complexity and uncertainty of the marine environment, AUVs are susceptible to the effects of the marine environment and may experience communication delays or even accidents. Based on the aforementioned issues, this paper proposes a prediction method for lost AUVs based on an adaptive optimization depth BiLSTM (AWOA-DBiLSTM) neural network model. To enhance prediction accuracy, AWOA-DBiLSTM employs a double BiLSTM to extract AUV features from positional information and physical attitude. Additionally, AWOA-DBiLSTM utilizes a gating mechanism to filter and reset physical attitude feature information to obtain features associated with positional information. After undergoing filtering operations, the physical attitude information of the AUV is fused with the position information to achieve trajectory prediction. For the first time, the differentiation and stratified extraction of AUV data features are presented in this paper. The experimental results demonstrate that the model achieves significant improvements in prediction accuracy and generalization, and the present study is of great significance for application in the task of predicting the trajectories of lost AUVs. With the continuous development and progress of wireless self-organizing network communication technology, how to carry out long-distance cooperative control of multiple intelligences under the framework of an air–ground integrated wireless high-mobility self-organizing network has become a hot and difficult topic that needs to be solved urgently. This paper takes the air–ground integrated wireless high-mobility self-organizing network system as the basic framework and focuses on solving the long-distance cooperative fault-tolerant control of multi-intelligent bodies and the topological stability of a wireless mobile self-organizing network. To solve the above problems, a direct neural network with a robust adaptive fault-tolerant controller is designed in this paper. By constructing a symmetric population neural network model and combining it with the Lyapunov stabilization criterion, the system feedback matrix K has the ability of autonomous adaptive learning, and symmetrically distorts, rotates, or scales the training data to instantly adjust the system's fault-tolerant corrections and adaptive adjusting factors to resist the unknown disturbances and faults, to achieve the goals of multi-intelligent body stable control and the stable operation of a wireless high-mobility self-organizing network topology. Simulation results show that with the feedback adjustment of the multi-system under the designed controller, the multi-system as a whole has good fault-tolerant performance and autonomous learning approximation performance, and the tracking error asymptotically converges to zero. The experimental results show that the multi-flight subsystems fly stably, the air–ground integrated wireless high-mobility self-organizing network topology has good stability performance, and the maximum relative improvement of the topology stability performance is 50%. With the development of smart grids and new power systems, the combination of non-intrusive load identification technology and smart home technology can provide users with the operating conditions of home appliances and equipment, thus reducing home energy loss and improving users' ability to demand a response. This paper proposes a non-intrusive load decomposition model with a parallel multiscale attention mechanism (PMAM). The model can extract both local and global feature information and fuse it through a parallel multiscale network. This improves the attention mechanism's ability to capture feature information over long time periods. To validate the model's decomposition ability, we combined the PMAM model with four benchmark models: the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) recurrent neural network model, the Time Pooling-based Load Disaggregation Model (TPNILM), the Extreme Learning Machine (ELM), and the Load Disaggregation Model without Parallel Multi-scalar Attention Mechanisms (UNPMAM). The model was trained on the publicly available UK-DALE dataset and tested. The models' test results were quantitatively evaluated using a confusion matrix. This involved calculating the F1 score of the load decomposition. A higher F1 score indicates better model decomposition performance. The results indicate that the PMAM model proposed in this paper maintains an F1 score above 0.9 for the decomposition of three types of electrical equipment under the same household user, which is 3% higher than that of the other benchmark models on average. In the cross-household test, the PMAM also demonstrated a better decomposition ability, with the F1 score maintained above 0.85, and the mean absolute error (MAE) decreased by 5.3% on average compared with that of the UNPMAM. Sensitivity analysis of influencing factors on frost resistance is carried out in this paper, and a two-stage neural network model based on grey theory and Back Propagation Neural Networks (BPNNs) is established for the sake of predicting the frost resistance of active-admixture recycled concrete quickly and accurately. Firstly, the influence degree of cement, water, sand, natural aggregate, recycled aggregate, mineral powder, fly ash, fiber and air-entraining agent on the frost resistance of active-admixture recycled-aggregate concrete was analyzed based on the grey system theory, and the primary and secondary relationships of various factors were effectively distinguished. Then, the input layer of the model was determined as cement, water, sand, recycled aggregate and air-entraining agent, and the output layer was the relative dynamic elastic modulus. A total of 120 datasets were collected from the experimental data of another author, and the relative dynamic elastic modulus was predicted using the two-stage BPNN prediction model proposed in this paper and compared with the BPNN prediction results. The results show that the proposed two-stage BPNN model, after removing less-sensitive parameters from the input layer, has better prediction accuracy and shorter run time than the BPNN model. When new rail stations or lines are planned, long-term planning for decades to come is required. The short-term passenger flow prediction is no longer of practical significance, as it only takes a few factors that affect passenger flow into consideration. To overcome this problem, we propose several long-term factors affecting the passenger flow of rail transit in this paper. We also create a visual analysis of these factors using ArcGIS and construct a long-term passenger flow prediction model for rail transit based on a class neural network using an SPSS Modeler. After optimizing relevant parameters, the prediction accuracy reaches 94.6%. We compare the results with other models and find that the neural network model has a good performance in predicting long-term rail transit passenger flow. Finally, the factors affecting passenger flow are ranked in terms of importance. It is found that among these factors, bicycles available for connection have the biggest influence on the passenger flow of rail stations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the rapid development of semiconductor technology, the reduction in device operating voltage and threshold voltage has made integrated circuits more susceptible to the effects of particle radiation. Moreover, as process sizes decrease, the impact of charge sharing effects becomes increasingly severe, with soft errors caused by single event effects becoming one of the main causes of circuit failures. Therefore, the study of sensitivity evaluation methods for integrated circuits is of great significance for promoting the optimization of integrated circuit design, improving single event effect experimental methods, and enhancing the irradiation reliability of integrated circuits. In this paper, we first established a device model for the charge sharing effect and simulated it under reasonable conditions. Based on the simulation results, we then built a neural network model to predict the charge amounts in primary and secondary devices. We also propose a comprehensive automated method for calculating soft errors in unit circuits and validated it through TCAD simulations, achieving an error margin of 2.8–4.3%. For processing streaming events from a Dynamic Vision Sensor camera, two types of neural networks can be considered. One are spiking neural networks, where simple spike-based computation is suitable for low-power consumption, but the discontinuity in spikes can make the training complicated in terms of hardware. The other one are digital Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS)-based neural networks that can be trained directly using the normal backpropagation algorithm. However, the hardware and energy overhead can be significantly large, because all streaming events must be accumulated and converted into histogram data, which requires a large amount of memory such as SRAM. In this paper, to combine the spike-based operation with the normal backpropagation algorithm, memristor–CMOS hybrid circuits are proposed for implementing event-driven neural networks in hardware. The proposed hybrid circuits are composed of input neurons, synaptic crossbars, hidden/output neurons, and a neural network's controller. Firstly, the input neurons perform preprocessing for the DVS camera's events. The events are converted to histogram data using very simple memristor-based latches in the input neurons. After preprocessing the events, the converted histogram data are delivered to an ANN implemented using synaptic memristor crossbars. The memristor crossbars can perform low-power Multiply–Accumulate (MAC) calculations according to the memristor's current–voltage relationship. The hidden and output neurons can convert the crossbar's column currents to the output voltages according to the Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU) activation function. The neural network's controller adjusts the MAC calculation frequency according to the workload of the event computation. Moreover, the controller can disable the MAC calculation clock automatically to minimize unnecessary power consumption. The proposed hybrid circuits have been verified by circuit simulation for several event-based datasets such as POKER-DVS and MNIST-DVS. The circuit simulation results indicate that the neural network's performance proposed in this paper is degraded by as low as 0.5% while saving as much as 79% in power consumption for POKER-DVS. The recognition rate of the proposed scheme is lower by 0.75% compared to the conventional one, for the MNIST-DVS dataset. In this paper, the use of artificial neural networks (ANNs) is proposed to approximate the option price sensitivities of Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Top 40 European call options in a classical and a modern multi-curve framework. The ANNs were trained on artificially generated option price data given the illiquid nature of the South African market, and the out-of-sample performance of the optimized ANNs was evaluated using an implied volatility surface constructed from published volatility skews. The results from this paper show that ANNs trained on artificially generated input data are able to accurately approximate the explicit solutions to the respective option price sensitivities of both a classical and a modern multi-curve framework in a real-world out-of-sample application to the South African market. The digitization of distribution power systems has revolutionized the way data are collected and analyzed. In this paper, the critical task of harnessing this information to identify irregularities and anomalies in electricity consumption is tackled. The focus is on detecting non-technical losses (NTLs) and energy theft within distribution networks. A comprehensive overview of the methodologies employed to uncover NTLs and energy theft is presented, leveraging measurements of electricity consumption. The most common scenarios and prevalent cases of anomalies and theft among consumers are identified. Additionally, statistical indicators tailored to specific anomalies are proposed. In this research paper, the practical implementation of numerous artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, including the artificial neural network (ANN), ANFIS, autoencoder neural network, and K-mean clustering, is highlighted. These algorithms play a central role in our research, and our primary objective is to showcase their effectiveness in identifying NTLs. Real-world data sourced directly from distribution networks are utilized. Additionally, we carefully assess how well statistical methods work and compare them to AI techniques by testing them with real data. The artificial neural network (ANN) accurately identifies various consumer types, exhibiting a frequency error of 7.62%. In contrast, the K-means algorithm shows a slightly higher frequency error of 9.26%, while the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) fails to detect the initial anomaly type, resulting in a frequency error of 11.11%. Our research suggests that AI can make finding irregularities in electricity consumption even more effective. In this paper, we propose a learning model for tracking the isolines of fluid based on the physical properties of particles in particle-based fluid simulations. Our method involves analyzing which weights, closely related to surface tracking among the various physical properties of fluid particles, are significant. These weights are used as input values for the learning algorithm, enabling relatively accurate isoline tracking. In addition, compared to existing learning models such as linear regression, LSTM (long short-term memory), and learning representation (1-layer) models, our method obtained superior surface tracking results without accumulating errors. By using our proposed network structure to track the fluid surface, it learns and predicts values derived from existing fluid simulation algorithms, eliminating the need for computational processes for level-set values and enabling real-time surface tracking. As the scale of the simulation increases, our method significantly reduces the time and resources consumed compared to traditional methods and can track the fluid surface without additional resource consumption. Furthermore, due to our method's simple network structure, the time consumed in the initial process of loading the model into memory is faster than models such as CNN and LSTM. Our proposed model occupies less than 30 kb of storage space, making it suitable for use in middleware. This study investigates the characteristics of a novel origami-based, elastomeric actuator and a soft gripper, which are controlled by hand gestures that are recognized through machine learning algorithms. The lightweight paper–elastomer structure employed in this research exhibits distinct actuation features in four key areas: (1) It requires approximately 20% less pressure for the same bending amplitude compared to pneumatic network actuators (Pneu-Net) of equivalent weight, and even less pressure compared to other actuators with non-linear bending behavior; (2) The control of the device is examined by validating the relationship between pressure and the bending angle, as well as the interaction force and pressure at a fixed bending angle; (3) A soft robotic gripper comprising three actuators is designed. Visual object tracking is a key technology that is used in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to achieve autonomous navigation. In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning, tracking algorithms based on Siamese neural networks have received widespread attention. However, because of complex and diverse tracking scenarios, as well as limited computational resources, most existing tracking algorithms struggle to ensure real-time stable operation while improving tracking performance. Therefore, studying efficient and fast-tracking frameworks, and enhancing the ability of algorithms to respond to complex scenarios has become crucial. Therefore, this paper proposes a cross-parallel attention and efficient match transformer for aerial tracking (SiamEMT). Firstly, we carefully designed the cross-parallel attention mechanism to encode global feature information and to achieve cross-dimensional interaction and feature correlation aggregation via parallel branches, highlighting feature saliency and reducing global redundancy information, as well as improving the tracking algorithm's ability to distinguish between targets and backgrounds. Meanwhile, we implemented an efficient match transformer to achieve feature matching. This network utilizes parallel, lightweight, multi-head attention mechanisms to pass template information to the search region features, better matching the global similarity between the template and search regions, and improving the algorithm's ability to perceive target location and feature information. Experiments on multiple drone public benchmark tests verified the accuracy and robustness of the proposed tracker in drone tracking scenarios. In this paper, we discuss the implementation of artificial self-awareness mechanisms and self-reflection abilities in deep neural networks. While the current limitations of research prevent achieving cognitive capabilities on par with natural biological entities, the incorporation of basic self-awareness and self-reflection mechanisms in deep learning architectures offers substantial advantages in tackling specific problems across various scientific fields, including geosciences. In the first section, we outline the foundational architecture of our deep learning approach termed Self-Aware Learning (SAL). The subsequent part of the paper highlights the practical benefits of this machine learning methodology through synthetic tests and applications addressed to automatic classification and image analysis of real petrological data sets. Using optimal assembly relationships, companies can enhance product quality without significantly increasing production costs. However, predicting Assembly Geometric Errors presents a challenging real-world problem in the manufacturing domain. To address this challenge, this paper introduces a highly efficient Transformer-based neural network model known as Predicting Assembly Geometric Errors based on Transformer (PAGEformer). This model accurately captures long-range assembly relationships and predicts final assembly errors. The proposed model incorporates two unique features: firstly, an enhanced self-attention mechanism to more effectively handle long-range dependencies, and secondly, the generation of positional information regarding gaps and fillings to better capture assembly relationships. This paper collected actual assembly data for folding rudder blades for unmanned aerial vehicles and established a Mechanical Assembly Relationship Dataset (MARD) for a comparative study. To further illustrate PAGEformer performance, we conducted extensive testing on a large-scale dataset and performed ablation experiments. The experimental results demonstrated a 15.3% improvement in PAGEformer accuracy compared to ARIMA on the MARD. Over the last few years, a plethora of papers presenting machine-learning-based approaches for intrusion detection have been published. However, the majority of those papers do not compare their results with a proper baseline of a signature-based intrusion detection system, thus violating good machine learning practices. In order to evaluate the pros and cons of the machine-learning-based approach, we replicated a research study that uses a deep neural network model for intrusion detection. The results of our replicated research study expose several systematic problems with the used datasets and evaluation methods. In our experiments, a signature-based intrusion detection system with a minimal setup was able to outperform the tested model even under small traffic changes. Testing the replicated neural network on a new dataset recorded in the same environment with the same attacks using the same tools showed that the accuracy of the neural network dropped to 54%. Given the substantial value and considerable training costs associated with deep neural network models, the field of deep neural network model watermarking has come to the forefront. While black-box model watermarking has made commendable strides, the current methodology for constructing poisoned images in the existing literature is simplistic and susceptible to forgery. Notably, there is a scarcity of black-box model watermarking techniques capable of discerning a unique user in a multi-user model distribution setting. For this reason, this paper proposes a novel black-box model watermarking method for unique identity identification, which is denoted as the ID watermarking of neural networks (IDwNet). Specifically, to enhance the distinguishability of deep neural network models in multi-user scenarios and mitigate the likelihood of poisoned image counterfeiting, this study develops a discrete cosine transform (DCT) and singular value decomposition (SVD)-based symmetrical embedding method to form the poisoned image. As this ID embedding method leads to indistinguishable deep features, the study constructs a poisoned adversary training strategy by simultaneously inputting clean images, poisoned images with the correct ID, and poisoned adversary images with incorrect IDs to train a deep neural network. Extensive simulation experiments show that the proposed scheme achieves excellent invisibility for the concealed ID, surpassing remarkably the state-of-the-art. In addition, the proposed scheme obtains a validation success rate exceeding 99% for the poisoned images at the cost of a marginal classification accuracy reduction of less than 0.5%. Moreover, even though there is only a 1-bit discrepancy between IDs, the proposed scheme still results in an accurate validation of user copyright. Cross-verification of results offers reliable diagnosis of industrial motor faults. Multiphase fluids are common in many industries, such as oil and petrochemical, and volume fraction measurement of their phases is a vital subject. Hence, there are lots of scientists and researchers who have introduced many methods and equipment in this regard, for example, photon attenuation sensors, capacitance-based sensors, and so on. These approaches are non-invasive and for this reason, are very popular and widely used. In addition, nowadays, artificial neural networks (ANN) are very attractive in a lot of fields and this is because of their accuracy. Therefore, in this paper, to estimate volume proportion of a three-phase homogeneous fluid, a new system is proposed that contains an MLP ANN, standing for multilayer perceptron artificial neural network, a capacitance-based sensor, and a photon attenuation sensor. Through computational methods, capacities and mass attenuation coefficients are obtained, which act as inputs for the proposed network. All of these inputs were divided randomly in two main groups to train and test the presented model. To opt for a suitable network with the lowest rate of mean absolute error (MAE), a number of architectures with different factors were tested in MATLAB software R2023b. After receiving MAEs equal to 0.29, 1.60, and 1.67 for the water, gas, and oil phases, respectively, the network was chosen to be presented in the paper. Reservoir productivity prediction is a key component of oil and gas field development, and the rapid and accurate evaluation of reservoir productivity plays an important role in evaluating oil field development potential and improving oil field development efficiency. Fracture-vuggy reservoirs are characterized by strong heterogeneity, complex distribution, and irregular development, causing great difficulties in the efficient prediction of fracture-vuggy reservoirs' productivity. Therefore, a PSO-BP fracture-vuggy reservoir productivity prediction model optimized by feature optimization was proposed in this paper. The Chatterjee correlation coefficient was used to select the appropriate combination of seismic attributes as the input of the prediction model, and we applied the PSO-BP model to predict oil wells' production in a typical fracture-vuggy reservoir area of Tahe Oilfield, China, with the selected seismic attributes and compared the accuracy with that provided by the BP neural network, linear support vector machine, and multiple linear regression. The prediction results using the four models based on the test set showed that compared with the other three models, the MSE of the PSO-BP model increased by 23% to 62%, the RMSE increased by 12 to 38 percent, the MAE increased by 18 to 44 percent, the SSE increased by 23 to 62 percent, and the R-square value increased by 2 to 13 percent. This comparison proves that the PSO-BP neural network model proposed in this paper is suitable for the productivity prediction of fracture-vuggy reservoirs and has better performance, which is of guiding significance for the development and production of fracture-vuggy reservoirs. Generative adversarial networks (or GANs) are a specific deep learning architecture often used for different usages, such as data generation or image-to-image translation. In recent years, this structure has gained increased popularity and has been used in different fields. One area of expertise currently in vogue is the use of GANs to produce synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, and especially expand training datasets for SAR automatic target recognition (ATR). In effect, the complex SAR image formation makes these kind of data rich in information, leading to the use of deep networks in deep learning-based methods. Yet, deep networks also require sufficient data for training. However, contrary to optical images, we generally do not have a substantial number of available SAR images because of their acquisition and labelling cost; GANs are then an interesting tool. Concurrently, how to improve explainability for SAR ATR deep neural networks and how to make their reasoning more transparent have been increasingly explored as model opacity deteriorates trust of users. Detecting instruments in a music signal is often used in database indexing, song annotation, and creating applications for musicians and music producers. Therefore, effective methods that automatically solve this issue need to be created. In this paper, the mentioned task is solved using mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) and various architectures of artificial neural networks. The authors' contribution to the development of automatic instrument detection covers the methods used, particularly the neural network architectures and the voting committees created. All these methods were evaluated, and the results are presented and discussed in the paper. Photovoltaic (PV) power fluctuates with weather changes, and traditional forecasting methods typically decompose the power itself to study its characteristics, ignoring the impact of multidimensional weather conditions on the power decomposition. Therefore, this paper proposes a short-term PV power generation method based on MVMD (multivariate variational mode decomposition) feature extraction and the Informer model. First, MIC correlation analysis is used to extract weather features most related to PV power. Next, to more comprehensively describe the relationship between PV power and environmental conditions, MVMD is used for time–frequency synchronous analysis of the PV power time series combined with the highest MIC correlation weather data, obtaining frequency-aligned multivariate intrinsic modes. These modes incorporate multidimensional weather factors into the data-decomposition-based forecasting method. Finally, to enhance the model's learning capability, the Informer neural network model is employed in the prediction phase. Based on the input PV IMF time series and associated weather mode components, the Informer prediction model is constructed for training and forecasting. The predicted results of different PV IMF modes are then superimposed to obtain the total PV power generation. Experiments show that this method improves PV power generation accuracy, with an MAPE value of 4.31%, demonstrating good robustness. In terms of computational efficiency, the Informer model's ability to handle long sequences with sparse attention mechanisms reduces training and prediction times by approximately 15%, making it faster than conventional deep learning models. Mussel platforms are big floating structures made of wood (normally about 20 m × 20 m or even a bit larger) that are used for aquaculture. They are used for supporting the growth of mussels in suitable marine waters. These structures are very common near the Galician coastline. For their maintenance and tracking, it is quite convenient to be able to produce a periodic census of these structures, including their current count and position. Images from Earth observation satellites are, a priori, a convenient choice for this purpose. This paper describes an application capable of automatically supporting such a census using optical images taken at different wavelength intervals. The images are captured by the two Sentinel 2 satellites (Sentinel 2A and Sentinel 2B, both from the Copernicus Project). The Copernicus satellites are run by the European Space Agency, and the produced images are freely distributed on the Internet. Sentinel 2 images include thirteen frequency bands and are updated every five days. In our proposal, remote-sensing normalized (differential) indexes are used, and machine-learning techniques are applied to multiband data. Different methods are described and tested. The results obtained in this paper are satisfactory and prove the approach is suitable for the intended purpose. In conclusion, it is worth noting that artificial neural networks turn out to be particularly good for this problem, even with a moderate level of complexity in their design. Cognitive radio networks enable the detection and opportunistic access to an idle spectrum through spectrum-sensing technologies, thus providing services to secondary users. However, at a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), existing spectrum-sensing methods, such as energy statistics and cyclostationary detection, tend to fail or become overly complex, limiting their sensing accuracy in complex application scenarios. In recent years, the integration of deep learning with wireless communications has shown significant potential. Utilizing neural networks to learn the statistical characteristics of signals can effectively adapt to the changing communication environment. To enhance spectrum-sensing performance under low-SNR conditions, this paper proposes a deep-learning-based spectrum-sensing method that combines multiple signal features, including energy statistics, power spectrum, cyclostationarity, and I/Q components. The proposed method used these combined features to form a specific matrix, which was then efficiently learned and detected through the designed 'SenseNet' network. Experimental results showed that at an SNR of −20 dB, the SenseNet model achieved a 58.8% spectrum-sensing accuracy, which is a 3.3% improvement over the existing convolutional neural network model. Understanding road conditions is essential for implementing effective road safety measures and driving solutions. Road situations encompass the day-to-day conditions of roads, including the presence of vehicles and pedestrians. Surveillance cameras strategically placed along streets have been instrumental in monitoring road situations and providing valuable information on pedestrians, moving vehicles, and objects within road environments. However, these video data and information are stored in large volumes, making analysis tedious and time-consuming. Deep learning models are increasingly utilized to monitor vehicles and identify and evaluate road and driving comfort situations. However, the current neural network model requires the recognition of situations using time-series video data. In this paper, we introduced a multi-directional detection model for road situations to uphold high accuracy. Deep learning methods often integrate long short-term memory (LSTM) into long-term recurrent network architectures. This approach effectively combines recurrent neural networks to capture temporal dependencies and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to extract features from extensive video data. In our proposed method, we form a multi-directional long-term recurrent convolutional network approach with two groups equipped with CNN and two layers of LSTM. Additionally, we compare road situation recognition using convolutional neural networks, long short-term networks, and long-term recurrent convolutional networks. The paper presents a method for detecting and recognizing multi-directional road contexts using a modified LRCN. After balancing the dataset through data augmentation, the number of video files increased, resulting in our model achieving 91% accuracy, a significant improvement from the original dataset.
