The small data global well-posedness in Sobolev setting for the incompressible Oldroyd-B equations with only velocity dissipation (namely there is no damping or dissipation of stress tensor) on R 2 remains open by now. The approach for the similar problem on R 3 becomes invalid due to the fewer decay rates. In this paper, we will give a positive answer to this problem. Namely, we shall focus on the Cauchy problem for the incompressible Oldroyd-B equations with only velocity dissipation on R 2 and derive the small data global well-posedness under Sobolev setting. We also give the time decay estimate for the solutions. To achieve this goal, we explore the dissipative structure of system and develop the fractional time-weighted energy framework. • A fiber-optic Michelson interferometric trace DMMP sensor was proposed. • The fiber-optic sensor has the structure of a Michelson interferometer. • ZIF-8@Ag/PDDA as sensing materials is used to enhance the sensitivity. • The sensor has a sensitivity of 45.71 dB/ppm for DMMP. • The sensor has good selectivity and stability. A Michelson interference dimethyl methyl phosphate (DMMP) fiber sensor with a single-mode (SMF)-dislocated single-mode (DSMF)-hollow-core fiber (HCF) structure is proposed. To fabricate the Michelson interference structure of SMF-DSMF-HCF, one end of the DSMF was misaligned and fused to the SMF, the other end was fused to the HCF to generate a reflective surface. The structure, elemental composition, and surface morphology of ZIF-8@Ag were analyzed using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy after the ZIF-8@Ag/PDDA composite was coated on the surface of DSMF. The result shows that the sensitivity and the detection limit of the sensor are 45.71 dB/ppm and 0.1431 ppb, respectively, and the response/recovery time is around 14/12 s. The mud crab (Scylla paramamosain) is an important mariculture species, which has been successfully cultivated in inland saline-alkaline water of China. However, the study on the flavor quality of mud crab cultivated in inland saline-alkaline water has not been reported. The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the non-volatile flavor substances in the hepatopancreas and muscles of mud crabs cultured in inland saline-alkaline water (IS, 1.5 psu), coastal low salinity seawater(CS, 5 psu) and normal salinity seawater(NS, 13 psu). The results showed that there were no significant differences in total free amino acids (TAA) and essential amino acids (EAA) in muscle and hepatopancreas among the three groups. The contents of glycine (Gly) and alanine (Ala) in muscle and hepatopancreas in IS group were significantly higher than those in NS and CS groups. Taurine (Tau) content in IS-♂ group was significantly higher than that in NS-♂ group. The results of the principal component analysis showed that the similarity of amino acid composition and content in muscle and hepatopancreas of each population was related to the culture environment. To sum up, the mud crabs cultured in inland low saline-alkaline water can maintain the balance of total amino acid and essential amino acid content, the sweet flavor of edible parts was slightly enhanced, while the equivalent umami concentration was decreased. ● Inland saline-alkaline culture is a new way for the development of mud crab industry. ● Inland low saline-alkaline culture has an influence on the flavor of mud crabs. ● The contents of Gly and Ala in the muscle of saline-alkaline mud crabs are higher. ● The changes of free amino acids are related to osmoregulation. • A fiber-optic SPR hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) gas sensor is proposed. • The Ag/APTES/Cu-MWCNT sensing film is coated on the surface of SMF. • H 2 S concentration and the resonance wavelength shift (117.421 nm) satisfy the linear relationship within 1–10 ppm. • The sensitivity and detection limit are 12.98 nm/ppm and 0.146 ppm, respectively. • The response time is about 28 s, and can be used to monitor trace H 2 S gas. A fiber-optic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) gas sensor is proposed and fabricated by using silver/triaminopropyltriethoxysilane/copper-multiwalled carbon nanotubes (Ag/APTES/Cu-MWCNT) as sensing film. A single-mode fiber (SMF) is spliced between two multimode fibers (MMF) to form an MMF-SMF-MMF sensing structure. The Ag/APTES/Cu-MWCNT sensing film is coated on the surface of SMF. The performance and stability of the sensor were investigated in detail. With the increase of H 2 S concentration in the range of 10–100 ppm, the redshift of the resonance dip reaches 126.465 nm, and the logarithm of H 2 S concentration and the resonance dip wavelength shift satisfy the linear relationship. In the range of 1–10 ppm, the wavelength shifts 117.421 nm, and H 2 S concentration and the dip wavelength shift meet a linear relationship. The sensitivity (12.9849 nm/ppm) is obtained, the detection limit (0.146 ± 0.031 ppm) is determined, and the response time is about 28 s. A novel europium metal-organic frameworks (Eu-MOFs), based on 1,3,5-benzotricarboxylic acid (H 3 BTC), 4,4′-azopyridine (4,4′-AZ) and N , N -dimethyllformamide (DMF), was synthesized by the solvothermal method. The crystal structure, thermal stability, morphology and luminescent properties are characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetry (TG), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and optical spectroscopic techniques. The Eu-MOFs display a unique luminescence quenching effect to nitrobenzene (NB) and copper (Cu2+) ions. The turn-off luminescence can be induced by 210 ​ppm NB or by 1000 ​μM Cu2+ ions. Furthermore, the high sensitivities (K SV ​= ​0.039 ​ppm−1 for NB, and K SV =0.029 ​μM−1 for Cu2+) and low detection limits (0.656 ​ppm for NB, and 1.395 ​μM for Cu2+) are obtained. The sensing mechanisms are reasonably explained based on the electron and energy transfer. The experimental results show that the Eu-MOFs can be used as a potential sensing luminescence quenching probes for NB and Cu2+ ions. Figure. Most recent occluded person re-identification (re-ID) methods usually learn global features directly from pedestrian images, or use additional pose estimation and semantic analysis model to learn local features, while ignoring the relationship between global and local features, thus incorrectly retrieving different pedestrians with similar attributes as the same pedestrian. Moreover, learning local features using auxiliary models brings additional computational cost. In this work, we propose a Transformer-based dual-branch feature learning model for occluded person re-ID. Firstly, we propose a global–local feature interaction module to learn the relationship between global and local features, thus enhancing the richness of information in pedestrian features. Secondly, we randomly erase local areas in the input image to simulate the real occlusion situation, thereby improving the model's adaptability to the occlusion scene. The Hippo signaling pathway plays a critical role in cardiovascular development and stem cell differentiation. Using microarray profiling, we found that the Hippo pathway components vestigial-like family member 4 (VGLL4) and TEA domain transcription factor 1 (TEAD1) were upregulated during vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) differentiation from H1 ESCs (H1 embryonic stem cells). To further explore the role and molecular mechanisms of VGLL4 in regulating VSMC differentiation, we generated a VGLL4-knockdown H1 ESC line (heterozygous knockout) using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and found that VGLL4 knockdown inhibited VSMC specification. In contrast, overexpression of VGLL4 using the PiggyBac transposon system facilitated VSMC differentiation. We confirmed that this effect was mediated via TEAD1 and VGLL4 interaction. In addition, bioinformatics analysis revealed that Ten-eleven-translocation 2 (TET2), a DNA dioxygenase, is a target of TEAD1, and a luciferase assay further verified that TET2 is the target of the VGLL4-TEAD1 complex. Indeed, TET2 overexpression promoted VSMC marker gene expression and countered the VGLL4 knockdown-mediated inhibitory effects on VSMC differentiation. In summary, we revealed a novel role of VGLL4 in promoting VSMC differentiation from hESCs and identified TET2 as a new target of the VGLL4-TEAD1 complex, which may demethylate VSMC marker genes and facilitate VSMC differentiation. Many previous occluded person re-identification(re-ID) methods try to use additional clues (pose estimation or semantic parsing models) to focus on non-occluded regions. However, these methods extremely rely on the performance of additional clues and often capture pedestrian features by designing complex modules. In this work, we propose a simple Fine-Grained Multi-Feature Fusion Network (FGMFN) to extract discriminative features, which is a dual-branch structure consisting of global feature branch and partial feature branch. Firstly, we utilize a chunking strategy to extract multi-granularity features to make the pedestrian information contained in it more comprehensive. Secondly, a spatial transformer network is introduced to localize the pedestrian's upper body, and then introduce a relation-aware attention module to explore the fine-grained information. Finally, we fuse the features obtained from the two branches to obtain a more robust pedestrian representation. • Low salt affects the nutrient composition of Eriocheir sinensis. • The increase of free amino acid content is related to organism metabolism. • The change of free nucleotide is related to the degradation pathway of ATP. • Lipid accumulation during development affects fatty acid composition. In this paper, the effects of temporary rearing time on the flavor substances of the edible parts of river crabs under the condition of 7 psu were determined based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatograph (GC) techniques. The results showed that the content of free amino acids in the edible parts of river crabs could be increased under the condition of salinity of 7 psu. The content of organic acids in the edible part of Chinese mitten crabs was also affected by temporary culture under salinity 7 psu, and the change trend was the same as that of amino acids. The treatment of 7 psu can promote the accumulation of free nucleotides in the muscles, hepatopancreas and gonads of the crabs, and the equivalent umami concentration (EUC) values in the muscles and gonads of the crabs have been significantly increased. However, salinity 7 reduced the proportion of PUFA in muscles and gonads, resulting in a certain amount of nutrient loss. Most previous visible–infrared person re-identification methods emphasized learning modality-shared features to narrow the modality differences, while neglecting the benefits of modality-specific features for feature embedding and narrowing the modality gap. To tackle this issue, our paper designs a method based on dual attention enhancement features to use shallow and deep features simultaneously. We first convert visible images into gray images to alleviate the visual difference. Then, to close the difference between modalities by learning the modality-specific features, we design a shallow feature measurement module, in which we use a class-specific maximum mean discrepancy loss to measure the distribution difference of specific features between two modalities. Finally, we design a dual attention feature enhancement module, which aims to mine more useful context information from modality-shared features to shorter the distance between classes within modalities. Specifically, our model exceeds the current SOTAs on SYSU-MM01, with 66.61% Rank-1 accuracy and 62.86% mAP. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a major mastitis-causing pathogen in dairy cows. Dairy cows with mastitis suffer from a decrease in milk yield and protein content. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is a natural product with anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, we examined the function and mechanism of CGA with regard to its anti-inflammatory effects and evaluated its protective function in milk protein synthesis in bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs). BMECs were cultured with and without infection by S. aureus and CGA, and extracellular inflammatory cytokines and amino acids in the medium and milk proteins were determined by ELISA. The function of IL- 10RA in anti-inflammatory processes and of SF-1 in milk protein synthesis was assessed by gene silencing. The activity of mTORC1, NF-κB, and STAT5 was examined by western blot. S. aureus caused intracellular infection and upregulated TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8, whereas uptake of amino acids and milk protein synthesis were suppressed. CGA mitigated the S. aureus- induced inflammatory response and milk protein synthesis in vitro and in vivo. CGA alleviated S. aureus- induced inhibition of mTORC1 and STAT5 and upregulated IL-10 and IL- 10RA. In addition, SF-1 was predicted to be a transcription factor of the milk protein-encoding genes α-LA , β-LG , and CSN2. S. aureus downregulated SF-1 and CGA reversed the decline in milk protein synthesis due to SF-1 knockdown. [Display omitted] • κ-Carrageenan, a widely used polysaccharide interferes with the binding of insulin to receptor. • κ-Carrageenan causes non-diabetic less weight gain by impairing glucose metabolism in mice. • κ-Carrageenan inhibits the insulin PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Carrageenan (CGN) is a common food additive, and questions have been raised regarding its safety for human consumption. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of κ-CGN on glucose intolerance and insulin resistance from the perspective that κ-CGN may interfere with insulin receptor function and affect insulin sensitivity and signaling, thereby leading to body weight loss. The health effects of κ-CGN on C57BL/6 mice were assessed over a 90-d period by monitoring changes in body weight, glucose tolerance, insulin tolerance, fasting glucose and insulin levels, and expression of insulin-pathway-related proteins. Furthermore, HepG2 cells were used to detect the binding of κ-CGN on insulin receptor and measure its effect on downstream signal transduction. In mice, κ-CGN treatment reduced weight gain without affecting food intake. Glucose and insulin tolerance tests revealed that κ-CGN treatment increased blood glucose levels and glycosylated hemoglobin levels, while hepatic and muscle glycogen levels were decreased, suggesting that κ-CGN affected glucose metabolism in mice. Interestingly, κ-CGN treatment did not cause typical diabetic symptoms in mice, as indicated by low levels of fasting and postprandial blood glucose, in addition to normal pancreatic tissue and insulin secretion. The binding studies revealed that κ-CGN could competitively bind to the insulin receptor with FITC-insulin and thereby disrupt PI3K and Akt activation, thus suppressing expression of glucose transporters and glycogen synthase. In summary, this study revealed that κ-CGN reduced weight gain without affecting food intake, but impaired glucose metabolism in mice by interfering with insulin binding to receptors, thereby affecting the sensitivity of insulin and inhibiting the insulin PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, causing non-diabetic weight gain reduction.
