High gain boost converters are popular nowadays, due to many advantages, making them reliable alternatives in many applications of power electronic circuits, including renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, aerospace technologies, etc. In this article, a new non-isolated boost converter with high voltage gain is illustrated. The converter is analyzed during the CCM operating condition using a complimentary switching strategy. The converter features high voltage gain, improved efficiency and reduced voltage stress across the semiconductor switches. The Simulation study of the converter using MATLAB/SIMULINK R2021b was done, which yielded results indicating a high voltage gain combined with low voltage stress. Moreover, the converter demonstrated a peak efficiency of 90% at all loads. The control circuitry for the converter was implemented through a TMS320F28027F microcontroller. Experimental validation was performed on a 2W converter prototype, aligning with the theoretical expectations and simulation outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Recently, the manufacturing sector is witnessing a radical evolution and growth in product development. Acoustic measurement plays important role in aerospace technology for testing and monitoring. Currently, conventional acoustical sensor has been replaced by new type of microphone built with microelectro-mechanical system technology. Although this new type of microphone is smaller in size, its performance is comparable to conventional microphone. However, present standard for the calibration of microphone does not apply to the MEMS microphone because of the difference in the size. In this research, we calibrate the MEMS microphone using multifunction acoustic calibrator. To adapt the size of conventional microphone, a microphone adapter was developed using 3D printer. The paper analyzes the rationality of the use of additive technologies for the manufacture of parts of complex shapes for aerospace products. A structural analysis of the part was carried out, directions of topological optimization were determined, and the design was optimized. To confirm the adequacy of the design optimization, static and dynamic strength calculations were carried out in the Siemens NX software package. The article considers technologies for manufacturing the resulting part by 3D printing from metal and traditional milling on a numerically controlled machine. Manufacturing processes are modeled in various software systems in order to obtain initial data for economic calculations. To assess the feasibility of using metal printing technology, a technical and economic analysis was carried out, according to the results of which the influence of the production program, technological processing modes and the cost of materials on the cost of the product was established. The problem of increasing the effectiveness of aerospace monitoring and automatic processing of video data is analysed. For evaluating the informative features of image it has been suggested to use deterministic-probabilistic model, which ensures allocating and recognizing the image data (clusters) under observation based on calculations, firstly, of image's evaluating functionality through variation of function and, secondly, of momentary and cumulant (invariant) functions. Usage of a two-level model of image for evaluation of informative features, provides the possibility of implementing a stream processing of video data and recognizing the observable image data in real-time mode and in conditions of minimum level of prior awareness about signal and jamming environment. This paper presents the current development and formulate the future direction of selective laser melting (SLM) technology in the aerospace industry. The potential application and challenges of SLM in producing aerospace industry components, their key requirements, and the mechanical properties of the built parts were discussed. SLM technology can be considered a viable method in the aerospace industry when all process parameters are controlled, consistent and the printing process is stable. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is one type of aircraft that is being developed and has an important role in civilian and military needs. In an effort to advance Indonesia's aerospace technology, research was carried out on the variation of the taper ratio on v-tail configuration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with the aim of finding the taper ratio value that can produce the highest performance. The research was conducted with numerical calculations using the Computational Fluid Dynamics method using software to find the lift force, drag force, lift coefficient, drag coefficient, and lift-to-drag ratio. The research was conducted with six variations of the taper ratio on V-tail configuration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Each variation has the same surface area and aspect ratio value. The results were then processed using Microsoft Excel for analysis. Theresults of this study indicate that the taper ratio of 0.2 in the "V" tail configuration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle producesthe largest lift- to-drag ratio and is relatively stable at low angles of attack. Detailed data on the measurement of the gas-dynamic parameters of the flow in the jet field at a large value of the relative total pressure (Npr = 70) are presented. A significant increase in the measured total pressure in the first cell of a supersonic weakly underexpanded jet has been experimentally revealed. An explanation is given of this effect associated with the mixing process in the region behind the Mach disk of the peripheral high-pressure flow and the axial flow behind the Mach disk. The use of technology roadmaps for the scientific and technological development of the airspace industry is justified due to the need to react to a large number of technological challenges and threats, which have been emerging over the last years and negatively impacting the companies and organization of the space industry. These conditions dictate the need to find efficient tools for managing the aerospace industry. Technology roadmaps belong to these tools. The study aims to prove the feasibility of using technology roadmaps as an efficient tool for managing aerospace industry development. The methods of the study include the opportunity analysis and the synthesis of the analysis results. As a result of the study, technology roadmaps are differentiated by location, industry, subject; the requirements to the content and the procedure for developing, integrating, and monitoring technology roadmaps are validated. Currently, technology roadmaps are increasingly used in strategic management on different management tiers: inter-industry, industry, company, and organization. Graphene has inspired the world since its discovery in 2004. There have been thousands of papers, patents of graphene-based nanomaterial and it has been exploited in variety of applications. Graphene is two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterial with extended network of benzene rings, it is stronger than stainless steel and has high conductivity. The thermal transport of graphene is flourishing area of research, especially for the use in thermal management applications. Graphene oxide is the functionalized form of graphene with most of the graphene features intact. Radial-axial ring rolling is the mainly used forming process to produce seamless rings, which are applied in miscellaneous industries like the energy sector, the aerospace technology or in the automotive industry. Due to the simultaneously forming in two opposite rolling gaps and the fact that ring rolling is a mass forming process, different errors could occur during the rolling process. Ring climbing is one of the most occurring process errors leading to a distortion of the ring's cross section and a deformation of the rings geometry. The conventional sensors of a radial-axial rolling machine could not detect this error. Therefore, it is a common strategy to roll a slightly bigger ring, so that random occurring process errors could be reduce afterwards by removing the additional material. The LPS installed an image processing system to the radial rolling gap of their ring rolling machine to enable the recognition and measurement of climbing rings and by this, to reduce the additional material. This paper presents the algorithm which enables the image processing system to detect the error of a climbing ring and ensures comparable reliable results for the measurement of the climbing height of the rings. System in Package (SiP) play an important role in portable, aerospace and military electronic with the microminiaturization, light weight, high density, and high reliability. At present, SiP system test has encountered the problem on system complexity and malfunction location with the system scale exponentially increase. For SiP system, this paper proposed a testing methodology and testing process based on the boundary scan technology. Combining the character of SiP system and referencing the boundary scan theory of PCB circuit and embedded core test, the specific testing methodology and process has been proposed. The hardware requirement of the under test SiP system has been provided, and the hardware platform of the testing has been constructed. Additive Manufacturing (AM) refers to a process by which a set of digital data -representing a certain complex 3dim design - is used to grow the respective 3dim real structure equal to the corresponding design. For the powder-based EOS manufacturing process a variety of plastic and metal materials can be used. Thereby, AM is in many aspects a very powerful tool as it can help to overcome particular limitations in conventional manufacturing. AM enables more freedom of design, complex, hollow and/or lightweight structures as well as product individualisation and functional integration. As such it is a promising approach with respect to the future design and manufacturing of complex 3dim structures. On the other hand, it certainly calls for new methods and standards in view of quality assessment. In particular, when utilizing AM for the design of complex parts used in aviation and aerospace technologies, appropriate monitoring systems are mandatory. In this respect, recently, sustainable progress has been accomplished by joining the common efforts and concerns of a manufacturer Additive Manufacturing systems and respective materials (EOS), along with those of an operator of such systems (MTU Aero Engines) and experienced application engineers (Carl Metrology), using decent know how in the field of optical and infrared methods regarding non-destructive-examination (NDE). The newly developed technology is best described by a high-resolution layer by layer inspection technique, which allows for a 3D tomography-analysis of the complex part at any time during the manufacturing process. Thereby, inspection costs are kept rather low by using smart image-processing methods as well as CMOS sensors instead of infrared detectors. Moreover, results from conventional physical metallurgy may easily be correlated with the predictive results of the monitoring system which not only allows for improvements of the AM monitoring system, but finally leads to an optimisation of the quality and insurance of material security of the complex structure being manufactured. Both, our poster and our oral presentation will explain the data flow between the above mentioned parties involved. We study two schemes of a compound solar sail. The principal advantage of the compound schemes compared to the flat sailcraft is that a compound sailcraft effective area maintains constant during the mission.
