Background Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a cardiovascular disease with high mortality. At present, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is considered as the main effective treatment for CHD due to less trauma, shorter course of treatment, and better curative effect. However, PCI alone is not a permanent cure, so cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is needed for a supplement. Nowadays, the evaluation of the nursing-sensitive quality of CR after PCI focuses on the outcomes of patients, lacks a complete evaluation indicator system, and is prone to problems such as nursing management imbalance. Objective A scientific, sensitive, comprehensive and practical nursing-sensitive quality indicator system based on the structure-process-outcome model was constructed to provide a reference for evaluating nursing sensitive quality of CR after PCI. Methods Firstly, through literature analysis and semi-structured interview, the indicator system was collected, screened and determined. Then, the framework of the indicator system was established, and the draft of nursing-sensitive quality indicator system of CR after PCI was formed. Subsequently, the nursing-sensitive quality indicator system of CR after PCI was initially established using Delphi method. Finally, the specific weight was determined by analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and the nursing-sensitive quality indicator system of CR after PCI was established and perfected. Results Two rounds of expert consultations were separately given 15 questionnaires, and all these questionnaires were returned, with a questionnaire response rate of 100%. Such result indicated that experts were highly motivated. Besides, the authoritative coefficients for two rounds of expert consultations were 0.865 and 0.888, and the coordination coefficients were 0.491 and 0.522, respectively. Hence, the experts’ authority and coordination were high and the results were reliable. After the second round of expert consultation, the nursing-sensitive quality indicator system of CR after PCI was established, eventually. This system consisted of 3 first-level indicators (structural indicator, process indicator and outcome indicator), 11 s-level indicators and 29 third-level indicators. Conclusion A relatively complete and reliable nursing-sensitive quality indicator system of CR after PCI has been established in this study. Background: Corneal neovascularization (CoNV) threatens vision by disrupting corneal avascularity, however, current treatments, including pharmacotherapy and surgery, are hindered by limitations in efficacy and adverse effects. Minocycline, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, could suppress CoNV but faces challenges in effective delivery due to the cornea's unique structure. Therefore, in this study a novel drug delivery system using minocycline-loaded nano-hydroxyapatite/poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (nHAP/PLGA) nanoparticles was developed to improve treatment outcomes for CoNV. Results: Ultra-small nHAP was synthesized using high gravity technology, then encapsulated in PLGA by a double emulsion method to form nHAP/PLGA microspheres, attenuating the acidic by-products of PLGA degradation. The MINO@PLGA nanocomplex, featuring sustained release and permeation properties, demonstrated an efficient delivery system for minocycline that significantly inhibited the CoNV area in an alkali-burn model without exhibiting apparent cytotoxicity. On day 14, the in vivo microscope examination and ex vivo CD31 staining corroborated the inhibition of neovascularization, with the significantly smaller CoNV area (29.40% ± 6.55%) in the MINO@PLGA Tid group (three times daily) than that of the control group (86.81% ± 15.71%), the MINO group (72.42% ± 30.15%), and the PLGA group (86.87% ± 14.94%) (p < 0.05). Fluorescein sodium staining show MINO@PLGA treatments, administered once daily (Qd) and three times daily (Tid) demonstrated rapid corneal epithelial healing while the Alkali injury group and the DEX group showed longer healing times (p < 0.05). Additionally, compared to the control group, treatments with dexamethasone, MINO, and MINO@PLGA were associated with an increased expression of TGF-β as evidenced by immunofluorescence, while the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and TNF-α demonstrated a significant decrease following alkali burn. Safety evaluations, including assessments of renal and hepatic biomarkers, along with H&E staining of major organs, revealed no significant cytotoxicity of the MINO@PLGA nanocomplex in vivo. Conclusions: The novel MINO@PLGA nanocomplex, comprising minocycline-loaded nHAP/PLGA microspheres, has shown a substantial capacity for preventing CoNV. This study confirms the complex's ability to downregulate inflammatory pathways, significantly reducing CoNV with minimal cytotoxicity and high biosafety in vivo. Malignant tumors have been one of the major reasons for deaths worldwide. Timely and accurate diagnosis as well as effective intervention of tumors play an essential role in the survival of patients. Genomic instability is the important foundation and feature of cancer, hence, in vivo oncogene imaging based on novel probes provides a valuable tool for the diagnosis of cancer at early-stage. However, the in vivo oncogene imaging is confronted with great challenge, due to the extremely low copies of oncogene in tumor cells. By combining with various novel activatable probes, the molecular imaging technologies provide a feasible approach to visualize oncogene in situ, and realize accurate treatment of tumor. This review aims to declare the design of nanoprobes responded to tumor associated DNA or RNA, and summarize their applications in detection and bioimaging for tumors. The process of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization is characterized by the ability to accurately deliver chemotherapy drugs with minimal systemic side effects and has become the standard treatment for unresectable intermediate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, this treatment option still has much room for improvement, one of which may be the introduction of nanomaterials, which exhibit unique functions and can be applied to in vivo tumor imaging and therapy. Several biodegradable and multifunctional nanomaterials and nanobeads have recently been developed and applied in the locoregional treatment of hepatocellular cancer. This review explores recent developments and findings in relation to micro-nano medicines in transarterial therapy for HCC, emerging strategies to improve the efficacy of delivering nano-based medicines, and expounding prospects for clinical applications of nanomaterials. Background: Poly(D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles have potential applications as a vaccine adjuvant and delivery system due to its unique advantages as biodegradability and biocompatibility. Experimental: We fabricated cationic solid lipid nanoparticles using PLGA and dimethyl-dioctadecyl-ammonium bromide (DDAB), followed by loading of model antigen OVA (antigen ovalbumin, OVA257-264) to form an OVA@DDAB/PLGA nano-vaccine. And we investigated the intracellular signaling pathway in dendritic cells in vitro and antigen transport pathway and immune response in vivo mediated by an OVA@DDAB/PLGA nano-vaccine. Results: In vitro experiments revealed that the antigen uptake of BMDCs after nanovaccine incubation was two times higher than pure OVA or OVA@Al at 12 h. The BMDCs were well activated by p38 MAPK signaling pathway. Furthermore, the nano-vaccine induced antigen escape from lysosome into cytoplasm with 10 times increased cross-presentation activity than those of OVA or OVA@Al. Regarding the transport of antigen into draining lymph nodes (LNs), the nano-vaccine could rapidly transfer antigen to LNs by passive lymphatic drainage and active DC transport. The antigen+ cells in inguinal/popliteal LNs for the nano-vaccine were increased over two folds comparing to OVA@Al and OVA at 12 h. Moreover, the antigen of nano-vaccine stayed in LNs for over 7 days, germinal center formation over two folds higher than those of OVA@Al and OVA. After immunization, the nano-vaccine induced a much higher ratio of IgG2c/IgG1 than OVA@Al. It also effectively activated CD4+ T, CD8+ T and B cells for immune memory with a strong cellular response. Conclusion: These results indicated that DDAB/PLGA NP was a potent platform to improve vaccine immunogenicity by p38 signaling pathway in BMDCs, enhancing transport of antigens to LNs, and higher immunity response.
