The article discusses the decrease in on-campus collaboration between college professors in the U.S. due to the reliance on technology that facilitated cooperation between professors internationally. It addresses the declining popularity of faculty clubs, as well as comments on the expectations of productivity from young and associate professors. Other topics explored include the increasing employment of adjunct professors, fewer formal occasions to socialize with colleagues, and turnover rates for professors in the U.S.
