The article discusses the advantages of general practitioners (GPs) who perform dermoscopy in reducing the risk of missing skin cancers. Topics include the approaches toward patients with concerns abour skin lesion, considerations prior to the application of the dermoscope, and screening out of benign skin conditions like seborrhoeic keratoses, benign naevi, and haemangiomas. Also mentioned is the significant role of dermoscopy in determining the structure of a lesion.
