Crystal structure analyses of nonacarbonyl-1κ 3 C,2κ 3 C,3κ 3 C-di-μ-hydrido- 1:2κ 2 H;2:3κ 2 H-μ 3 -(pyrid-1-ylmethylidyne)-triangulo-triruthenium, [Ru 3 (μ-H) 2 (μ 3 -C 6 H 5 N)(CO) 9 ], (I), and nonacarbonyl-1κ 3 C,2κ 3 C,3κ 3 C-μ 3 -[(4-ethylpyrid-1-yl)methylidyne]-di-μ-hydrido-1:2κ 2 H;2:3κ 2 H-triangulo-triruthenium, [Ru 3 (μ-H) 2 (μ 3 -C 8 H 9 N)(CO) 9 ], (II), reveal that both compounds consist of a triruthenium alkylidyne core with the nucleophiles [pyridine in (I) and 4-ethylpyridine in (II)] bonded to the μ 3 -bridging alkylidyne C atom

The title compound, C7H6F2N2O, is an important intermediate for the synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic compounds. The hydrazide group is nearly coplanar with the benzene ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by N—H...O and N—H...N hydrogen-bond interactions.

In the title compound, C19H17O3N4S, a substituted oxadiazole derivative and an important biologically active compound, electron delocalization in the oxadiazole ring is reflected in the C—N bond lengths.

The title compound, C16H11O2ClF, is a chemically synthesized isocoumarin. The mol­ecule is not planar and the dihedral angle between the isocoumarin and benzene ring systems is 42.43 (6)°. The structure is stabilized by C—H⋯O and C—H⋯F inter­molecular inter­actions, forming a one-dimensional chain parallel to the b axis and stacking down the a axis by π–π inter­actions.

The title compound, C15H11FO2, is a derivative of α-phenyl­cinnamic acid. The two benzene rings in the mol­ecule are approximately perpendicular to each other. O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding occurs between mol­ecules.

In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(15)H(13)NO(2), the aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 81.65 (3)°. In the crystal structure, weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the b axis.

In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(14)O(2), the aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 78.49 (3)°. The heterocyclic ring adopts a twist conformation. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the c axis.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C12H14O3, contains two independent molecules, in which the benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 72.08 (3)°. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into centrosymmetric dimers. There are also C—H...π contacts between aromatic CH groups and the benzene rings.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H18N2O2, contains two crystallographically independent mol­ecules, in which each mol­ecule is composed of three planar six-membered rings and one nonplanar seven-membered ring. The six-membered A (phenol), B (fused benzene) and C (methoxyphenyl) rings are oriented with respect to each other at dihedral angles of 88.79 (3) (A/B), 68.16 (3) (A/C) and 37.51 (2)° (B/C), and 82.43 (3) (A′/B′), 78.52 (2) (A′/C′) and 28.65 (3)° (B′/C′). The seven-membered rings adopt near-boat conformations. Intra­molecular O—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

The title compound, C22H18N2O2, is a biologically active 1,5-benzodiazepine derivative, containing three planar six-membered rings and one nonplanar seven-membered ring. The six-membered rings A (phenol), B (fused benzene) and C (methoxyphenyl) are oriented with respect to each other at dihedral angles of 39.22 (2) (A/B), 87.31 (3) (A/C) and 54.42 (3)° (B/C). The seven-membered ring adopts a near-boat conformation. In the crystal structure, intra­molecular O—H⋯N and inter­molecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present.

The title compound, C16H14FN3OS, is an important biologically active heterocyclic compound, containing one planar five-membered and two planar six-membered rings. The five-membered ring is oriented with respect to the six-membered rings at dihedral angles of 86.96 (3) and 74.42 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular N—H⋯S and C—H⋯F hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules into infinite chains.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H19FN2O5·H2O, contains two N′-(4-fluoro­benzo­yl)-3,4,5-trimethoxy­benzohydrazide molecules and two water mol­ecules. It is an important inter­mediate for the synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic compounds. The dihedral angles between the planar aromatic rings of the two mol­ecules are 65.52 (3) and 68.48 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter­molecular N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol­ecules to form a supra­molecular structure.
