The study examined User feedback on the elements influencing the efficiency of resources, services, and facilities offered by higher education institutions' libraries. This study distributed 1164 questionnaires and received responses of 1030, the overall response percentage is 88. The survey found that the response rate varied between 71 and 100 among teachers, 68 and 91 percent among research scholars, and 84 and 95 percent among postgraduate students. The study found that the majority of students visit the library once a week. The study reveals that the majority of the users (nearly 96%) responded positively and expressed their view that the existing timings as convenient to avail the library facility on the campus. The study highlighted that the majority of library users responded as somewhat effective about factors contributing to the effectiveness of facilities, services, and resources provided by higher education Institutional libraries. The study recommended that library personnel be proactive in their interactions with library patrons and assist them in finding effective solutions to information-related difficulties. The study focused on use of social media platforms by library staff to market library services at Uganda Christian University, Mukono. The study objectives included; to identify the types of library services offered by the library, social media used in marketing library services and challenges faced by library staff. The study adopted a case study research design. The study population consisted of 12 library staff who were selected purposively. Data was collected using in-depth interviews and observation methods and was analyzed qualitatively using content and thematic analysis. The study findings revealed that both traditional and online library services were provided to patrons in the library. Various social media platforms were used for marketing library services. Library staff faced various challenges in marketing library services using social media; patrons had limited awareness of existing social media platforms for the library, there was no policy to guide staff on how to use social media platforms. The library had limited computers and related computer accessories to support provision of library services. Some library staff also lacked the knowledge and skills to provide library services using social media. The library Wifi was unstable and costly to be consistently used by reference library staff to support their work. The study recommended that trainings should be organized for both library staff and users on how to access, and retrieve information resources from the library social media platforms. Library patrons should be informed about the library official social media platforms. Also library management should develop a clear policy to guide staff on the use of social media platforms in marketing library services, acquire modern computers, relevant computer accessories and provide stable internet to support reference librarians and IT staff to market library services and information resources in the library. The integration of digital technologies in libraries represents a transformative move in the way information is accessed, disseminated, and preserved. The main purpose of the study is to examine the impact of digital technologies on resources and services of public libraries in Anambra and Imo States, and five specific objectives were formed to guide the study. Survey method was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprises of all the library staff both professional and para-professional staff of Anambra state and Imo state public library board (Headquarters) and there are fifty-eight (58) in number. The entire fifty-eight (58) was used as sample size, census enumeration was adopted. The instrument for data collection for the study was the four point modified likert rating scale. The researcher administered the questionnaires through the help of research assistant. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics for calculating the mean. Mean score above the expected or criterion mean of 2.5 was accepted while those below the value were rejected. Diffusion of Innovations Theory by Everett Rogers (1962), guided the study. The findings of the study revealed that the overall digital awareness, as indicated by the grand mean, is moderate, with a score of approximately 1.82 and that the extent of digital integration in the two public libraries is on low extent. The study recommends that that effort should be made to enhance awareness and access to online cataloging, digital lending, and library websites/apps to improve the overall digital literacy and engagement of library users. This may include conducting targeted outreach and educational programs to inform users about these services and their benefits. The library should consider investing in improving its computer facilities for public use, ensuring that patrons have access to up-to-date and well-maintained computers and internet connectivity. The study investigated marketing of library services as a determinant for undergraduate's patronage in Oghara Polytechnic library in Delta State, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design using questionnaire as instrument for data collection. The population of the study consists of 31 library staff at the Oghara polytechnic library. A total of 31 questionnaires were distributed only 25 were retrieved. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics mean and percentage mean score of 2.5 and above. The study revealed that the needs for marketing library and information services in Oghara polytechnic libraries is keeping the clients in touch, informed about resources and services that match their interests, aims at determining the needs and aims at determining the wants and demands of undergraduates. The study shows the current techniques employed in marketing library services as library website, orientation tours and workshops, blogs and podcast, and posters. The study affirmed the extent of undergraduate's patronage as once in week, twice a week and during exams. The study recommended that the library management should utilize social media to market their information resource and services to increase undergraduate's patronage, the library staff should improve their relationships with their users so as to portray a good image of the library to their users. This descriptive study examined the Shah Abdul Latif Public Library in Shahdadpur, Sindh, Pakistan, with the aim of understanding its features, resources, services, and knowledge dissemination and community engagement. The study used mixed-method approach and collected data was presented in simple tables and charts. Research provided comprehensive description with aim of rules and regulations of library and the literature review explored the significance of public libraries as information centers and their role in community engagement and lifelong learning. The historical background of library may provide the understanding of basic foundation of public libraries in Pakistani cities, like Shahdadpur. During the study data was gathered with deep unbiased based observations and also conducted insights from face-to-face interviews with library staff, including librarian Asadullah Talpur, and also used open ended questionnaire, to understand the library's operations, challenges, and community initiatives. On-site observations assessed the library's physical layout, facilities, and usage patterns. The findings contribute to the existing literature and provide a comprehensive description of the Shah Abdul Latif Public Library. This research revealed the library's available resources and lacking in the services including books and digital materials, availability of technological equipments within library that support users to update from 21st century skills and services such as literacy programs facilities that was provided to the community members in different kind events. The findings and recommendations may prove to assist library staff in improvisation of library services and facilities and also assist other libraries to overcome the challenges faced by library professionals and user. The study examined social media use: a catalyst for service delivery in academic libraries in south-south Nigeria. Four objectives and research questions guided the study. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population of the study (197) comprises of 82 library staff in University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, 90 in University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Akwa Ibom State and 25 in Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Akwa Ibom State all in South-South Nigeria. No sample was used for the study due to the manageable size of the population. A structured questionnaire titled: "Social Media Use for Service Delivery Questionnaire (SMUSDQ) was developed in line with the research questions. Copies of the questionnaire, which contained four research questions and thirty-five items were distributed to the respondents and collected on the sport while 100 percent return-rate was achieved. Data collected with questionnaire was analysed using frequency tables and simple percentages. The findings of the study indicated that social media platforms used by library staff for services delivery include Whatsapp, Facebook, Telegram, Twitter, also that the services rendered by library staff using social media include current awareness services, display of new arrivals, reference service, posting of library and institution's events, overdue reminder user education, document delivery service, reservation service. The study further revealed that hindrances to rendering services through social media include poor internet connectivity, erratic power supply, issues of privacy and inadequate feedback from users, technophobia, inability to use social media tools, inadequate awareness of social media tools, poor cooperation among staff and poor finance of the library. Possible solutions to these hindrances as revealed by the study include attending workshops, seminars and conferences, constant power supply, regular internet subscription for the library, personnel training and development and unity among staff. The study concluded that libraries will serve their patrons effectively if they utilise the potentials inherent in social media for their services and will have a fast communication and responses rate from their patrons. The study recommended amongst others that academic libraries should create social media handles like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, Tiktok, blogs and so on and specifically assign a staff to manage it and make it visible to the library patrons. Also the academic library management should advocate for regular Internet subscription and use of alternative power supply like solar powered inverter for the library so that the library can always connect with its patrons at all times. This paper investigated user satisfaction as a predictor to library patronage among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire by the researchers. The questionnaire validation was subjected to the scrutiny of the experts in the areas of the variables studied; it gave a reliability coefficient of 0.855 (85.5%) for library patronage and 0.837 (83.7%) for user satisfaction. A response rate of 100% was achieved. Data were analyzed using descriptive (percentage, mean, average mean and standard deviation) and inferential (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) statistics. The study revealed a significant relationship between library patronage and user satisfaction (r = 0.000c, N = 100, P < 0.05) among undergraduate students in Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The study concluded that adequate customer care services from the library staff would increase undergraduate students' library patronage. It is recommended that university management in conjunction with the university library management should ensure adequate provision of relevant and current information resources for the students use in the library. Libraries are established purposively to acquire and organize knowledge and information content in different carriers and make them available to the intended audience in the best possible format and at the right time. Considering the customer as the king, this work sets out to investigate the perception of the users on the inherent attitude displayed by library staff in the federal universities in south-western Nigeria while delivering their services to the user community. To achieve this, a descriptive survey was carried out using a sample size of 2576 out of 43355 population of registered users. A well-structured SERVQUAL questionnaire adapted from Sohail and Raza (2012), Sahu (2006) and Parasuraman, Berry, and Zeithaml (1988) was used to elicit relevant responses bothering on the study variables from the respondents. Responses were analyzed using the SPSS statistical tool to determine the relevant percentages, mean, Standard Deviation and other relevant data in relation to the study. Results of findings shows that library staff possess such attitudes such as the versatility of librarianship terrain to be able to imbue the reliability of service on the users. Responsiveness, assurance, access, good communications skills and empathy are also some of the attributes they possess that have great impact on their service delivery process. It was further suggested amongst other things that library staff should be motivated and encouraged to deliver more friendly service to the user community, Educative socialization forum like library exhibition, workshops and seminars should be institutionalized to encourage a friendlier interactive sessions between staff and library users and the library should collaborate with nearby libraries and agencies or organisations to integrate emerging services, new service delivery trends and exchange of human resources for positive impact on the actualization of goals and objectives of setting up of academic libraries in this age. This study assessed the awareness and implementation of circulation policies and practices at the Lagos Business School library. The study used a survey research design and data was collected using a questionnaire. Purposive sampling was used to select 150 respondents for inclusion in the study. The study showed that the majority of respondents were aware of the circulation policy at the Lagos Business School library. As indicated by 86.0% of respondents, library orientations for users were the most common form of awareness, followed by library website pages. The results further revealed that there is a high degree of implementation of circulation policies at the library. This is with 93% admitting they can borrow books and 70% knowing the LBS library loan periods. Favoritism by some library staff and an increasing number of late book returns as agreed by 71.0% were the major barriers to the implementation of the circulatory policy. This study has contributed to the existing body of knowledge by providing insight/data on circulation policies/practices in academic libraries. This study investigates the awareness and perceptions of library users towards the use of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). The research adopted the survey research design using cross sectional survey research design of Quantitative research methodology, where a structured questionnaire was used to gather the data for this study. Three hundred and thirty five (335) questionnaires were distributed, Two hundred and ninety-eight were returned, and two hundred and ninety questionnaires were found useful for analysis, indicating 88.96-response rate for the study. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics employing frequencies and percentage. The study revealed poor awareness on the availability of OPAC in the library under study, which subsequently breeds the neutrality in the perceptions of the library users towards the use of OPAC. The study further revealed under-utilization of the OPAC facility in the library understudy, which is also attributed to the poor awareness of the users. Some of the challenges library users face when using OPAC include: Access restricted to the Library only; Inadequate computer terminals; Erratic power supply; Lack of ICT skills of the library staff; Frequent computer breakdown; Lack of skills to use OPAC independently and Lack of Computer Knowledge among others. It was also recommended in the study that proper awareness of Library services such as OPAC should be created through all means such as library orientation and other awareness creation programs. The study examined information resources and security challenges at Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Four research questions guided the study. A descriptive survey design was used by the researcher. The population of the study comprised 53 library staff, and the purposive sampling techniques were used to determine the sample size which is 30. The questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection and was validated by the supervisor. Cronbach Alpha was used to establish the reliability of the instrument which yielded 0.85. Data were analysed with frequency count, and simple percentages, and Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 23 was used to generate the mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed that textbooks, serials, and reference materials were the most vulnerable information resources to security challenges and that book theft, non-return of library materials, tearing of book pages, book pages stained, torn, and stolen among others were some of the common security violations. The findings also established that lack of photocopying machines, financial constraints of libraries, and lack of adequate punishment to serve as deterrent among others were the causes of security challenges and that CCTV, library written security policy to guide staff and users, monitoring of users by library staff while using library resources, introduction of photocopying services in the library, staff security within and outside the library and security guards deployment to patrol the library reading room were some of strategies put in place to curb security challenges in the NDU library. Based on the findings, the researchers recommended that the library management should continue to ensure that the library information resources are properly secured and that the library should enlighten library users on the need to observe the library rules and regulations and on the preservation and conservation of library resources. The purpose of the study is to examine the emergence of Commons in the public libraries in the Free State in South Africa using the Institutional Analysis and Development Framework. The study examined the roles of the libraries and communities, the linkage of the new library with open access to knowledge, level of awareness of both users, and the community and administrators. Also, the study examined the role of library users and their communities in the maintenance of the new library. The study adopted a qualitative research design to study 16 community leaders and 17 library staff using an interview schedule. The interview schedule was developed following the Institutional Analysis and Development Framework, and administered by the researchers. Data analysis was conducted by a narrative approach to highlight the voices of the participants. Knowledge commons is emerging in the communities studied in a serendipitous manner; there is no formal national or regional policy that spells out what knowledge commons is and their entailments. University libraries are expected to provide information resources and services to support the teaching and learning process of their institutions. For university libraries to deliver quality services, they are expected to continuously adapt to the changing institutional and global environments and requirements in use of current technologies to manage most or all library activities, particularly use of Integrated Library Systems (ILS). Furthermore, in the university libraries where ILS have been deployed, there is a need to carry out periodic evaluations of the systems. Hence, this study evaluated the adoption and use of integrated library software (ILS) in some selected private university libraries in Osun State, Nigeria. Descriptive and correlational survey research design was adopted. The population comprised undergraduates and library staff of Adeleke University, Fountain University and Redeemers University. Slovin's formula was used to arrive at 384 as the target sample size of the undergraduates, while total enumeration was used for the sample size of the library staff since the population was small. Questionnaires were used for data collection. The data collected from the field were coded and analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. The findings revealed that majorities of the surveyed students were satisfied with the services provided through the ILS, except at the Adeleke University. Similarly, most of the students found the ILS easy to use and useful, the students except for the students of Adeleke University who were indifferent about the services, due to the fact that they were not using the services provided by ILS. This finding confirms that when selecting or upgrading software in libraries, the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use should be main considerations. Finally, the study identified erratic power supply, lack of enough user education on the use of ILS services, internet network issues, lack of technical know-how, lack of technical facilities, and lack of training and re-training of staff as the major challenges faced by students and staff when using the ILS. It was recommended that the management of Adeleke university library should improve on creating awareness among the library users for them to understand the importance of using the deployed ILS services. The importance of Social media in academic libraries cannot be denied and overstated. The rapidly growing need for social media and its associated tool are creating problems and comfort for both uses and producers. The academic libraries have accepted the changes due to the demand, need, and expectation of library users. The prime objectives of the study were to find out the perception, use, issues, factors and marketing among the library professional in academic libraries of Balochistan, the descriptive survey method were used to complete this paper. The sample size was comprised of 67 library professionals. The data has been collected through structured questionnaires. The collection has been analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study revealed that Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and LinkedIn were the top using social media among academic library staff. The library staff uses these media to disseminate library services. The findings expressed that social media also used for the marking of library services. On the other hand some of the issues that were creating problems for the library staff to prevent using social media such as poor internet, authority support too many social media to learn, and so on. On the basis of these findings, some recommendations have been forwarded that the higher authority should incorporate internet facilities that enable library staff to use social media. The main objective of the study is to determine the user satisfaction with the library. Although questionnaires were provided to users when the researcher took 0.15 % of the entire respondent population= 35392= 52 around 0.15 sampled. However, fifty two (52) copies of the questionnaires were given to the respondents where fifty (50) copies were retrieved and analyzed, representing 96.15 %. The findings show the existing information resources available. In the Agriculture University Library the challenges User such as internet access, power failure, employee attitudes. To resolve these limitations insufficient numbers of library workers should be filled in, which meant that information resources will be arranged and readily accessible. The jobs of LIS professionals will help users access and use agricultural information tools, repackage and disseminate agricultural information to them. These findings suggest the need to formalize and improve relations between users and library staff in order to increase access to agricultural information and to formulate policies and regulatory structures for gender response. It is important to have policies that encourage inter-library loans, collaboration and knowledge sharing between Agriculture University Libraries and libraries of research institutes. Purpose: The main purpose of the study is to discover the information needs of Maharaja Bir Bikram college library users along with their information seeking behaviour and also establish the existing library scenario of the college. Objectives: To identify the information needs and searching behaviour of concerned college library users. And to discover the obstacles faces by the users while seeking information and provide appropriate suggestions to overcome the situation and to find out the level of user satisfaction. Methodology: For the present study a survey was conducted on Maharaja Bir Bikram College library users by the use of simple random sampling method with a set of questionnaire includes 15 questions. The primary data were collected from 301 respondents and the secondary data were gathered from previously published relevant literature. Collected data were presented in tabular form and Microsoft excel was used to analysed the data. Findings: The findings showed that maximum number of students visit library for access books to achieve academic success. It also discovered that most of the students are not aware about library collections and services as well as library e-resources therefore they preferred print materials as first choice. Problems faces by the respondents are nonavailability of updated study materials, shortage of information searching skill, lack of cooperation from library staff, shortage of current information sources. The investigation enables that user are not more satisfied with their college library resources and services. The aim of user education programme is to assist library users make the most effective use of library with little or no assistance from the library staff. Due to the greater relevance of libraries in information, education and the increasing complexity of libraries as a result of information explosion and a deluge of educational and information resources, it is imperative that libraries engage in user education programmes. In addition, availability of information resources and services to students is crucial but more importantly it is to ensure that students for whom these resources and services are provided utilise them adequately to satisfy their needs. The study therefore examines user education programmes, resources availability and use: the experience of college of education students in Kwara state, Nigeria. Descriptive survey design was adopted and the study population consisted 443 students in the department of chemistry, school of sciences, college of education, Kwara state, Nigeria. The simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 199. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics for the five research questions. Findings revealed that textbooks 57.5% and Internet resources 52.2% were readily available to the respondents. 39.8% respondents strongly agreed that, user education developed their capabilities as self-sufficient users. Also, 34.4% respondents revealed that their library skills were developed and made them become more independent in locating and retrieving information materials. 81.7% respondents strongly agreed that crowdedness/largeness of the class capacity was a major barrier hindering user education in their libraries, 72.6% also indicated that lack of periodic user education programme was a barrier while 69.8% of respondents revealed that lack of relevant and up-to-date resources were user education challenges which negatively affect the use of library resources by the students. The purpose of the study is to know the ICT skills of library staff in Nigerian institutions: A case study of all institutions in Ekiti State, Nigeria. The sample for the study consisted of 150 librarians across institutions in Ekiti State, Nigeria who were randomly selected through simple random sampling. The extent to which library staff can prove their knowledge towards information and communication technology (ICT) skills, the ability of library staff towards information and communication technology (ICT), how library staffs are able to identify or recognize relevant information sources and the effectiveness of information and communication technology (ICT) literacy skills programmes for the institution libraries in Ekiti State. Findings show that institutions' libraries have enough ICT facilities and their staffs are well familiar with them in order to deliver their services which can help the library staff in delivering their services very well. It further reveals that ICT skills were well known and made use of, by libraries staffs. Moreover, results indicated that different sources of information are recognized by the libraries staffs while the ICT programmes are available to develop themselves. These recommendation was made after the study that more ICT facilities are needed, latest ICT facilities should replace the former outdated facilities, libraries staffs should attend more ICT facilities training and seminars, Inhouse training should be regular e.g six (6) months interval, latest familiarized ICT package should be introduce to enhance the service rendered to patrons and library staff need to work with the ICT department in the institution for achieving parental goal. Reference services are personal assistance given to library users in their search for information and these services are most likely patronized by those who are aware of them, hence, this study investigated the awareness and patronage of library reference services among undergraduate students in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State, Nigeria. The study adopted survey design and a multistage sampling technique was used to select 370 undergraduate for the study. Questionnaire was used for data collection and was administered to 370 respondents out of which, 317 copies were found useful for the study. The research questions were answered using simple frequency, percentage and mean statistics. Findings of the study revealed that although the undergraduates were generally aware of the reference services, they were unaware of SDI, digital reference and reprographic services. Also, apart from user education and CAS, the patronage of other reference services in this study was low. Inadequate reference sources and poor human relation of library staff were the main challenges of reference services patronage. It was therefore, recommended that funds set aside for the acquisition of reference sources should be utilized, and management should invest on ICTs and human resources. While staff with the right mindset for service provision should be identified and deployed to the reference section to attract more patronage for reference services in particular and the library in general. The present research paper observes the awareness of social networking sites (SNSs) among the students of Vijaya Teachers College (VTC). The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the awareness of students in the context of SNSs for their academic work. To conduct the study researcher used the survey method, used questionnaire for data collection as data collection tool. Findings of the study said most of the students are aware about social networking sites and they used it on daily basis. The aim of this paper is to discover the implication and use of the most important social networking tools in libraries. Librarians and Library staff should use and create various forms of social networks in library for their services and it influence and help to the users for library collection, new books arrivals, library rules regulations and updated library information etc,. Students are cavernous users of social networking sites, this efforts present libraries outreach possibilities to users who do not use the physical library. This study assessed the menace of ICT induced deviant acts among library users most especially, undergraduates in public university libraries in South-west, Nigeria. The study looked beyond other reasons of deviance among undergraduates to see what libraries have in respect of their security mechanisms and punishment strategies to reduce deviant acts among undergraduates. Control theory was used as an anchor theory for the study because it gave a proper insight to the effectiveness of security and punishment measures on deviance reduction in the library. Survey research design was used for the study with a population of 352 library personnel in the 16 public university libraries in South-west, Nigeria. Questionnaire was used for data collection; analysis was done using percentage, frequency, standard deviant and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results revealed that significant relationship exist between control mechanism and deviant behaviour reduction (N=275, r= -.185, p<0.05). This implies that negative significant relationship exist between control mechanism and deviant behaviour reduction. The result reveals that significant relationship exist between punishment strategies and deviant behaviour reduction (N=275, r= -.124, p<0.05). The insatiable information needs of students and teaching staff of universities and other academic institutions keep escalating even though traditional libraries are not increasing. The growth in academic programs and library patrons in universities coupled with reduction in library funding from government agencies has created a huge gab for academic library progress. The change in formats of scholarly information requires that users of academic digital libraries need guidance and education in order to achieve realistic satisfaction. Inability to meet the above mentioned needs and expectations is assumed to result in dissatisfaction with the service. Users of academic digital libraries are very important. Libraries exist because of them. Users should therefore be satisfied with the service they receive (Motiang, Wallis, Karodia, 2014). For satisfaction to result there has to be a need from the user and that need has to be met. If it is fulfilled the user becomes satisfied. Facebook is now being used by library staff to publicise their services. This is due to the fact that Facebook is now part of our daily lives especially students and teaching staff users. This paper explores the views and reaction of library staff of Cape Coast Technical University towards Facebook as a tool; and explores the way library staff use Facebook to portray the duty of library experts and their services to users. The researcher emphasises on the traditional duties of library staff and discusses possibilities for performing this role through Facebook. This paper is aimed at presenting the results of a survey conducted to determine the utilization of online public access catalogue (OPAC) among library users in some selected tertiary institutions in Lagos State. Five objectives was design for the study which are awareness, the frequency of use, the purpose of use, method of search and challenges of using OPAC. Total 420 questionnaires were selected for the study out of the 448 filled questionnaires received. The data received from the respondents is analyzed using simple percentage approach. The findings of the study revealed that OPAC usage rate is quite low among the library users in some selected tertiary institutions in Lagos State. The majority of the respondents indicated that they were moderately successful in locating documents through OPAC. It is also found that most of the users are unaware of the all the facility available in the OPAC and encounter problem while searching. Some of the problems observed from the study includes: difficulty in query formation, maximum time search failure, no scope for spelling correction, inadequate instruction in the OPAC software, OPAC not functioning properly and lack of proper guidance from the library staff. The study investigated users' satisfaction with library facilities and attitude of staff in national library of Cross River State, Nigeria, was the focus of this investigation. The survey research design was adopted and the population of the study was five thousand five hundred and forty, while a sample of five hundred and fifty-four users of the national library were selected through random sampling technique and used for the study. The reliability value obtained instrument was established through split half reliability method. Population t-test was the statistical analysis technique was adopted for the study. The findings revealed that: Users satisfaction with library facilities and attitude of staff in national library was significantly high. Based on the findings the following were recommended: The staff in the library should be friendly to users' in delivery their library services and regular power supply to enable library users' access internet while in the library. This research is an attempt to investigate the gap between perceptions and expectations of library users regarding the quality services of college libraries. To measure the quality of Punjab Group of Colleges libraries from students' perceptions and expectations, the survey method was used. The population consisted on the students of 14 Punjab Group of Colleges of Lahore. There were about 100,000 students that were enrolled in Punjab Group of Colleges. The students of intermediate, bachelors and masters were participants of the study. The convenient sampling technique was used for the selection of participants. A sample size of 383 was drawn from the total population. SERVQUAL instrument was utilized for measurement of service quality through customers' perceptions and expectations. The instrument of the survey was distributed among respondents with the permission of Punjab Group of Colleges, Lahore for data collection. There were 383 questionnaires that were distributed among students. 304 duly filled questionnaires were received back from the participants. The response rate was 79.37%. Gathered data were analyzed by the researchers using SPSS. Results of the study show that respondents have very high expectations regarding quality library services. The overall mean perception score remained low as compared to expectations. The difference between expectations and perceptions showed on average the low service quality of college libraries. The overall results showed that the gap between users' expectations and perceptions is from 0 to -1. The gap indicates that respondents have a positive view of the library staff's courteous and caring attitude. They are also satisfied with the staff's ability to provide services at the promised time and performing services immediately. Purpose: The study aims to find out the current scenario of library resources and services viz. collection including infrastructure, staff position, library services available in the private university libraries in the state of Assam, India. Methodology: Physical survey of all the five libraries has been conducted for which a questionnaire was designed. Findings: With the increasing number of library users, there should be adequate number of library staff to maintain all the different collections and services of the library. Private university libraries e-books and e-journals facility is not sufficient to cater the increasing demands of the users. Research Limitations: The study is applied to private university libraries within the geographical barrier within the state of Assam. It is applied only on the basic level library resources and services expected from a library. Practical Implications: It will provide an opportunity to the library authority to fill up the gap in providing their basic library services. Purpose: The purpose of this study was conducted to find out the realistic about the user's utilization and satisfaction level of Central library of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Gangtok, Sikkim, India. The user's satisfaction of a library totally depends upon the utilization of library resources and services. Methodology: For the required queries a questionnaire was prepared for the present study and it was distributed among 120 SMIMS students randomly. Findings: The study exposed that students use the library for browsing e-resources and borrow books as per their need. From the students responses it was clear that users give preferences on accessing e-resources than printed material. Research Limitations: The present study is limited only for the students of the particular medical institution. The students were selected from different disciplines i.e. medical science, nursing and physiotherapy. Though faculties also use the library along with the students of this institution yet the research survey was limited for the students only. Practical Implications: Users were satisfied by using the library services like e-resources accessing, printing & photocopying service, DDS service, SMS alert service etc. Above these services the respondents recommended for digitization of the central library for the better utilization of library services as new information and communication technology are developing day by day so it should be implemented for best practices. Originality: This is the original study as it is absolutely based on primary data from student's survey. The main objective of any library for adoption of barcode technology is to improve library operations reducing workplace injuries, and improving services for library users. This study therefore examines application of barcode technology in landmark university centre for learning resources, Omu-Aran Experience. The study identified four research objectives. The design used for this study was case study research method. The population for this study comprises of all the library personnel with status ranging from professional to non-professional. The total population of the library staff was twenty (20). The whole 20 staff were used. The questionnaire was tagged "Application and Use of Barcode in Center for Learning Resources," (AUB-CLR). AUB-CLR was divided into five section. The data collected through AUB-CLR Questionnaire was analyzed using IBM-SPSS version 20.0. Descriptive statistics was used to present the data for better clarification and detailed descriptions were given where necessary. The finding of the study reveals that one of the factor affecting the use of barcode technology in Center for Learning Resources are constant lookup of database which is always necessary due to the fact that barcode doesn't save data of the book nor the system status; the finding of the study also reveals that 100% of the respondents believe that they are using barcode technology in their library due to its accuracy, speed, efficiency, time saving, and quality of library service. The paper concludes with few recommendations that include the use of Smart Barcode labels with both accession and call numbers in Landmark University Center for Learning Resources. It also recommended that institution logo should be printed on it. The library can indicate ownership and possession of material that can help security officials identify material borrowed from the library and help them prevent loss especially when material is stolen, these labels provide crucial evidence of the Library ownership. The study investigated Users' perception for quality service delivery in Albert Ilesanmi Ilemobode Library, Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study; the major instrument for generating data collection was the questionnaires. In carrying out the research, a case study research method was adopted while the researchers made use of random sampling techniques. The Sampling size for this research consists of 10% of registered post graduate students of Albert Ilesanmi Ilemobode Library; hence 200 respondents were selected for the study. However, only 192 respondents completed and returned the questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed using frequency tables, and percentages. The findings of the study showed that the library was used more frequently by students. The perceptions of the quality of library services were found to be satisfactory in the library. The library environment and information resources were considered adequate by Albert Ilesanmi Ilemobode Library users, the most valued aspects of the library were the library collections, and the friendliness and willingness of library staff to assist users. It was also found that users derived a number of benefits from using the library. In the view of above findings the research recommended that the academic library should have a specific guideline for measuring their value. This paper analyses customer satisfaction with services of the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) using a mixed method approach. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected using questionnaire and interviews, which were supplemented by document analysis. A total of 72 respondents were selected using simple random and purposive sampling procedures. Data were analysed descriptively and were presented in tables, pie charts and percentages. The expectancydisconfirmation theory with Four-Level Zone of Tolerance (ZoT) developed by Oliver (1980) guided data analysis in this study. Findings indicate that leaning materials and services provided by SNAL are relatively sufficient due to satisfaction level of majority of customers being over 50%. This shows that the library has relevant learning materials which mostly meet users' satisfaction. However, some respondents showed dissatisfaction with challenges they faced in accessing library resources due to: poor arrangement of books in shelves that made users to spend a lot of time in searching materials, lack of adequate security in the Library that made some users' properties in their bags temporarily kept in the library being stolen and lack of good customer care practices from some library staff. The aim of the study was to assess the security measures put in place to protect patrons of Sam Jonah Library of University of Cape Coast. The descriptive survey design was used in collecting and analyzing data. A questionnaire and interview guide was used to solicit information from respondents. The study adopted the convenient sampling technique for drawing respondents for the study. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics which involved frequencies, tables and percentages. Content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data. The findings of the study showed that the security breaches that could happen in the library environment include; property theft, verbal abuse, pickpockets, nuisance phone calls and harassment by staff. It was also found out that the major breaches that patrons had actually experienced were; property theft (laptops, mobile phones, calculators and pen drives), nuisance phone calls from fellow users and harassment by staff. It was again discovered that there was no policy on securing the patrons of the library. It was further revealed by management that there were not enough measures put in place to ensure the safety of users even though a conscious effort is being made. In relation to the challenges to securing the safety of users, it was found out that inadequate funds to purchase ICT based security equipment, inadequate security personnel at the entry and exit of the library and inadequate attention placed on the security of users. Also, a patron not being able to differentiate between a library staff and a patron was another challenge. Based on the findings and conclusions of the study, it is recommended among other things that management should install functional closed circuit television cameras, enough staff to patrol in and around the library and proper identification to differentiate library staff from patrons. The article focuses on the National Medical Library in New Delhi, India. It examines factors that have an effect on services including manpower, documents collections, reference services, and physical facilities. It presents a literature review concerning electronic resources, health science research libraries, and library use. It mentions that the National Medical Library has a lack of space facilities and reading seats, with a capacity of 400 seats and requirements for a minimum of 600 seats. It comments that over 60 percent of library users were unsatisfied with uses of bibliographical sources and 35 percent of users were unsatisfied with specific information searches.

The article discusses a survey of medical college libraries in Andhra Pradesh, India, to explore their current conditions, assess the degree of meeting the information requirements of users. Librarians were asked about physical facilities, library staff, library holdings, acquisition, technical processing, circulation and library services. Medical students were asked about frequency of visit to library, library schedule, circulation, technical services and library collection.

The article investigates the information requirements, usefulness of library resources and services, and problems met by faculty members of two arts and sciences colleges in India. These are Government Arts & Science College and Sri Raghavendra Arts & Science College. Results reveal that most faculty in both institutions are lecturers. Over half visit the library every day, or once a week and use books or reference works most frequently. In general, they visit the library to prepare for class.

LIS professionals reportedly have wide scope to develop variety of info-products in print as well as digital format. The article reports on a survey of technical institute libraries in Ghaziabad, India which aims to determine various factors including the purpose of collection, fund allocation, and characteristics of user population. Findings reveal the nature of document collection which includes theses, books, and audio visual materials and the number of users and faculty members. It also shows the budget for each field such as engineering, pure science, and applied science.

The article discusses the importance of communication in library administration. Library communication is conducted between staff members and between users and staffers. It is said that for effective communication in the staff level to take place, communication must move upward and horizontally across the organization just as it flows downward. User-staff communication transpires during the publication of changes in policies and services or when library users asks for assistance.
