The phase transformation temperature plays an important role in the design, production and heat treatment process of steels. In the present work, an improved version of the gradient-boosting method LightGBM has been utilized to study the influencing factors of the four phase transformation temperatures, namely Ac1, Ac3, the martensite transformation start (MS) temperature and the bainitic transformation start (BS) temperature. The effects of the alloying element were discussed in detail by comparing their influencing mechanisms on different phase transformation temperatures. The training accuracy was significantly improved by further introducing appropriate features related to atomic parameters. The melting temperature and coefficient of linear thermal expansion of the pure metals corresponding to the alloying elements, atomic Waber–Cromer pseudopotential radii and valence electron number were the top four among the eighteen atomic parameters used to improve the trained model performance. The training and prediction processes were analyzed using a partial dependence plot (PDP) and Shapley additive explanation (SHAP) methods to reveal the relationships between the features and phase transformation temperature. The skin is constantly exposed to a range of environmental stressors, including ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which can cause damage to the skin. Repairing UV-damaged skin has been a major focus of research in recent years. The therapeutic potential of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (HUCMSCs) exhibits anti-photoaging properties. In this study, we developed a strategy for concentrating an HUCMSC supernatant, and examined the protective effects of CHS on UVB exposure in vitro and in vivo. Our results demonstrate that CHS repairs UVB exposure by promoting cell viability and migration and reducing senescent and apoptosis cells. We further found that the photoprotective effect of CHS is due to autophagy activation. Moreover, CHS reduces wrinkles and senescent cells, increases collagen expression, and improves immune function in UVB exposure-induced skin damage. One of the most significant transcription factors in plants, WRKYs, are crucial for plant growth and stress response. In this study, we analyzed the physicochemical properties, evolutionary relationships, conservation structure, and expression of the WRKY gene family in S. baicalensis. The WRKY family has highly conserved structural domains, which have been classified into three major categories, I, II, and III, based on the number of WRKY structural domains and zinc finger structural features. SbWRKYs of the same subgroup are functionally similar and essentially contain the same motif. Additionally, different drought stress situations resulted in varying levels of SbWRKYs expression, with the majority of these factors being up-regulated in moderate drought stress settings, and fewer of them were up-regulated under severe drought stress conditions. Under moderate drought stress, the expression of key enzymes increased, while under severe drought stress, the expression of key enzymes decreased. Mild drought stress resulted in a 26.42% increase in baicalin accumulation, while severe drought stress led to a 22.88% decrease. The protein interaction analysis of key enzyme genes and SbWRKYs revealed that the expression of key enzyme genes affected the expression of SbWRKYs. We screened nine SbWRKYs with a significant relationship with baicalin accumulation, and SbWRKY8 and SbWRKY16 showed the highest correlation with the baicalin content. These findings offer a theoretical framework for more research on the roles of SbWRKYs and show that SbWRKYs can respond to drought stress in S. baicalensis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study addresses the problem of restricted ability for large-scale monitoring due to the limited cruising time of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by identifying an optimal leaf ChlorophyII content (LCC) inversion machine learning model at different scales and under different parameterization schemes based on simultaneous observations of ground sampling, UAV flight, and satellite imagery. The following results emerged: (1) The correlation coefficient between most remote sensing features (RSFs) and LCC increased as the remote scale expanded; thus, the scale error caused by the random position difference between GPS and measuring equipment should be considered in field sampling observations. (2) The LCC simulation accuracy of the UAV multi-spectral camera using four machine learning algorithms was ExtraTree > GradientBoost > AdaBoost > RandomForest, and the 20- and 30-pixel scales had better accuracy than the 10-pixel scale, while the accuracy for three feature combination schemes ranked combination of extremely significantly correlated RSFs > combination of significantly correlated and above RSFs > combination of all features. ExtraTree was confirmed as the optimal model with the feature combination of scheme 2 at the 20-pixel scale. (3) Of the Sentinel-2 RSFs, 27 of 28 were extremely significantly correlated with LCC, while original band reflectance was negatively correlated, and VIs were positively correlated. (4) The LCC simulation accuracy of the four machine learning algorithms ranked as ExtraTree > GradientBoost > RandomForest > AdaBoost. In a comparison of two parameterization schemes, scheme 1 had better accuracy, while ExtraTree was the best algorithm, with 11 band reflectance as input RSFs; the RMSE values for the training and testing data sets of 0.7213 and 1.7198, respectively. To quickly and accurately measure the AC magnetic properties of grain-oriented electrical steel by means of the existing measuring system designed for the magnetizing current method (MC), specifically the SST (92) single sheet method, in this work, the H-coil (HC) measuring system, which directly senses the magnetic field strength of the tested sample, was designed to measure the AC magnetic properties of the grain-oriented electrical steel. The assumed effective magnetic path length introduced in the MC method was corrected by comparing the measurement results obtained by means of HC and MC methods. The results found that specific total loss measured by the HC method was significantly lower than that measured by the classical magnetizing current (MC) method. Taking the HC method as the reference, the influencing factors of the effective magnetic path length was studied. It was found that the actual effective magnetic path length depends on the investigated sample characteristics, the measurement conditions, as well as yoke characteristics. Based on the application demand of laser cutting technology in non-oriented electrical steel, the influencing mechanisms of laser cutting parameters on the magnetic properties of 50W350 high-grade non-oriented electrical steel were investigated in this work. The specific total loss was utilized to evaluate the quality of cutting methods and the cutting parameter combinations. The results showed that the deterioration of the specific total loss was mainly due to the increase in hysteresis loss. Compared to traditional mechanic shearing, laser cutting generally degrades the magnetic properties under the evaluation index ΔP1.0/50. However, in some cases, laser cutting is superior to the mechanic shearing method under the evaluation index ΔP1.5/50. The main parameters related to laser cutting exhibited complicated influencing mechanisms on the specific total loss of 50W350 high-grade non-oriented electrical steel. However, based on the results of the experiments designed using the Box–Behnken model, the laser cutting parameters were optimized and the evaluation indexes have been significantly improved. Soil moisture is a key parameter in hydrological research and drought management. The inversion of soil moisture based on land surface temperature (LST) and NDVI triangular feature spaces has been widely used in various studies. Remote sensing provides regional LST data with coarse spatial resolutions which are insufficient for field scale (tens of meters). In this study, we bridged the data gap by adopting a Data Mining Sharpener algorithm to downscale MODIS thermal data with Vis-NIR imagery from Sentinel-2. To evaluate the downscaling algorithm, an unmanned aerial system (UAS) equipped with a thermal sensor was used to capture the ultra-fine resolution LST at three sites in the Tang River Basin in China. The obtained fine-resolution LST data were then used to calculate the Temperature Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) for soil moisture monitoring. Results indicated that downscaled LST data from satellites showed spatial patterns similar to UAS-measured LST, although discrepancies still existed. Based on the fine-resolution LST data, a 10-m resolution TVDI map was generated. Significant negative correlations were observed between the TVDI and in-situ soil moisture measurements (Pearson's r of − 0.67 and − 0.71 ). The reachability assessment of low-thrust spacecraft is of great significance for orbital transfer, because it can give a priori criteria for the challenging low-thrust trajectory design and optimization. This paper proposes an approximation method to obtain the variation maximum of each orbital element. Specifically, two steps organize the contribution of this study. First, combined with functional approximations, a set of analytical expressions for the variation maxima of orbital elements over one orbital revolution are derived. Second, the secular approximations for the variation maxima of the inclination and the right ascension of the ascending node are derived and expressed explicitly. An iterative algorithm is given to obtain the secular variation maxima of the other orbital elements the orbital elements other than the inclination and right ascension of the ascending node. Numerical simulations for approximating the variation maxima and a preliminary application in estimation of the velocity increment are given to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. Compared with the indirect method used alone for low-thrust trajectory optimization, the computation burden of the proposed method is reduced by over five orders of magnitude, and the computational accuracy is still high. Oxide metallurgy technology can improve the microstructure of a coarse-grained heat-affected zone (CGHAZ) but introduces extra inclusions. Local corrosion behavior of the CGHAZ of a Zr–Ti–Al–RE deoxidized steel was investigated in this work using theoretical calculations and experimental verification. The modified inclusions have a (Zr–Mg–Al–Ca–RE)Ox core claded by a CaS and TiN shell. CaS dissolves first, followed by the oxide core, leaving TiN parts. This confirms that the addition of rare earth can reduce lattice distortion and prevent a galvanic couple between the inclusions and the matrix, while the chemical dissolution of CaS causes localized acidification, resulting in the pitting corrosion initiation. Simple Summary: The Theaceae includes more than 300 species of great morphological diversity and has immense economic, cultural, and ornamental values. However, the evolutionary history of this family remains elusive. We integrated 91 genomes and transcriptome datasets of Theaceae and successfully resolved the phylogeny of Theaceae including relatives of cultivated tea plants from both extensive low-copy and multi-copy nuclear gene markers. Bayes-based molecular dating revealed that the ancestor of the tea family originated slightly earlier than the K-Pg boundary (Mass extinction events including the extinction of dinosaurs) with early diversification of three tribes associated with the Early Eocene Climatic Optimum. Further speciation analysis suggested a sole significant diversification shift rate in the common ancestor of Camellia associated with the Mid-Miocene Climatic Optimum. Collectively, polyploidy events, and key morphological innovation characters, such as pericarp with seed coat hardening, could possibly contribute to the Theaceae species diversity. Tea is one of the three most popular nonalcoholic beverages globally and has extremely high economic and cultural value. Currently, the classification, taxonomy, and evolutionary history of the tea family are largely elusive, including phylogeny, divergence, speciation, and diversity. For understanding the evolutionary history and dynamics of species diversity in Theaceae, a robust phylogenetic framework based on 1785 low-copy and 79,103 multi-copy nuclear genes from 91 tea plant genomes and transcriptome datasets had been reconstructed. Our results maximumly supported that the tribes Stewartieae and Gordonieae are successive sister groups to the tribe Theeae from both coalescent and super matrix ML tree analyses. Moreover, in the most evolved tribe, Theeae, the monophyletic genera Pyrenaria, Apterosperma, and Polyspora are the successive sister groups of Camellia. We also yield a well-resolved relationship of Camellia, which contains the vast majority of Theaceae species richness. Molecular dating suggests that Theaceae originated in the late L-Cretaceous, with subsequent early radiation under the Early Eocene Climatic Optimal (EECO) for the three tribes. A diversification rate shift was detected in the common ancestors of Camellia with subsequent acceleration in speciation rate under the climate optimum in the early Miocene. These results provide a phylogenetic framework and new insights into factors that likely have contributed to the survival of Theaceae, especially a successful radiation event of genus Camellia members to subtropic/tropic regions. These novel findings will facilitate the efficient conservation and utilization of germplasm resources for breeding cultivated tea and oil-tea. Background: The role of aberrant DNA methylation in allopurinol-induced severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCARs) is incompletely understood. To fill the gap, we analyze the DNA methylation profiling in allopurinol-induced Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) patients and identify the DNA methylation signature for predisposing allopurinol hypersensitivity. Methods: Genome-scale methylation analysis was conducted using the Illumina® HumanMethylation450 BeadChip. Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) was utilized to analyze the data. Results: A total of 21,497 annotated promoter regions were analyzed. Ten modules were identified between allopurinol hypersensitivity and tolerance, with turquoise and yellow modules being the most significant correlation. ATG13, EPM2AIP1, and SRSF11 were the top three hub genes in the turquoise module. MIR412, MIR369, and MIR409 were the top three hub genes in the yellow module. Gene Ontology (GO) analysis revealed that the turquoise module was related to the metabolic process in intracellular organelles and the binding of various compounds, proteins, or nucleotides. The yellow module, however, was related to stimulus sensory perception in cytoskeletal elements and the activity of the receptor or transducer. The role of fibronectin (FN) in tumorigenesis and malignant progression has been highly controversial. Cancerous FN plays a tumor-suppressive role, whereas it is pro-metastatic and associated with poor prognosis. Interestingly, FN matrix deposited in the tumor microenvironments (TMEs) promotes tumor progression but is paradoxically related to a better prognosis. Here, we justify how FN impacts tumor transformation and subsequently metastatic progression. Next, we try to reconcile and rationalize the seemingly conflicting roles of FN in cancer and TMEs. LCB1 is a computationally designed three-helix miniprotein that precisely targets the spike (S) receptor-binding motif (RBM) of SARS-CoV-2, exhibiting remarkable antiviral efficacy; however, emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants could substantially compromise its neutralization effectiveness. In this study, we constructed two multivalent LCB1 fusion proteins termed LCB1T and LCB1T-Fc, and characterized their potency in inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus and authentic virus in vitro. In the inhibition of various SARS-CoV-2 variants, the two LCB1 fusion proteins exhibited markedly improved inhibitory activities compared to LCB1 as anticipated; however, it was observed that relative to the D614G mutation hosting variant, the variants Delta, Lambda, and Omicron BQ.1.1, XBB, XBB.1.5, and EG.5.1 caused various degrees of resistance to the two fusion proteins' inhibition, with XBB, XBB.1.5, and EG.5.1 variants showing high-level resistance. Moreover, we demonstrated that bat coronavirus RaTG13 and pangolin coronavirus PCoV-GD/PCoV-GX were highly sensitive to two LCB1 fusion proteins, but not LCB1, inhibition. Importantly, our findings revealed a notable decrease in the blocking capacity of the multivalent LCB1 inhibitor on the interaction between the virus's RBD/S and the cell receptor ACE2 when confronted with the XBB variant compared to WT and the Omicron BA.1 variant. In conclusion, our studies provide valuable insights into the antiviral profiling of multivalent LCB1 inhibitors and offer a promising avenue for the development of novel broad-spectrum antiviral therapeutics. Canine parvovirus type 2c (CPV-2c) emerged in 2000 and is known for causing a more severe disease than other CPV-2 variants in puppies. In 2015, the emerging CPV-2c variant was isolated in Taiwan and it subsequently became the predominant variant. To trace the evolution of Taiwanese CPV-2c, we compared complete VP2 genes of CPV-2c from Taiwan and sequences obtained from GenBank. The evolutionary rate of CPV-2c was estimated to be 4.586 × 10-4 substitutions per site per year (95% highest posterior density (HPD) was 3.284-6.076 × 10-4). The time to the most recent common ancestor (TMRCA) dated to 1990 (95% HPD: 1984-1996) and 2011 (95% HPD: 2010-2013) for the CPV-2c variant and Taiwanese isolates, respectively. The CPV-2c variant isolated from Taiwan was clustered with CPV-2c from China. This phylogenetic clade began to branch off in approximately 2010 (95% HPD was 3.823-6.497). Notably, two unique mutations of Taiwanese CPV-2c were found, Q383R and P410L. In summary, this is the first report on the genome evolution of CPV-2c in Taiwan, revealing that this CPV-2c variant shares a common evolutionary origin with strains from China. A series of aluminum-based coordination polymers or metal-organic frameworks (Al--MOFs), i.e., DUT-4, DUT-5, MIL-53, NH2-MIL-53, and MIL-100, have been facile prepared by microwave (MW)-assisted reactions and used as catalysts for selective sulfoxidation reactions. TheMW-assisted synthesis drastically reduced the reaction time from few days to hours. The prepared MOFs have smaller and uniform particle sizes and better yield compared to conventional hydrothermal method. Furthermore, the Al--MOFs have been successfully demonstrated as catalysts in oxidation reaction of methyl phenyl sulfide with H2O2 as oxidant, even under mild conditions, with more than 95% conversion. KV channel-interacting proteins (KChIP1-4) belong to a family of Ca2+-binding EF-hand proteins that are able to bind to the N-terminus of the KV4 channel α-subunits. KChIPs are predominantly expressed in the brain and heart, where they contribute to the maintenance of the excitability of neurons and cardiomyocytes by modulating the fast inactivating-KV4 currents. As the auxiliary subunit, KChIPs are critically involved in regulating the surface protein expression and gating properties of KV4 channels. Mechanistically, KChIP1, KChIP2, and KChIP3 promote the translocation of KV4 channels to the cell membrane, accelerate voltage-dependent activation, and slow the recovery rate of inactivation, which increases KV4 currents. By contrast, KChIP4 suppresses KV4 trafficking and eliminates the fast inactivation of KV4 currents. In the heart, IKs, ICa,L, and INa can also be regulated by KChIPs. ICa,L and INa are positively regulated by KChIP2, whereas IKs is negatively regulated by KChIP2. Interestingly, KChIP3 is also known as downstream regulatory element antagonist modulator (DREAM) because it can bind directly to the downstream regulatory element (DRE) on the promoters of target genes that are implicated in the regulation of pain, memory, endocrine, immune, and inflammatory reactions. In addition, all the KChIPs can act as transcription factors to repress the expression of genes involved in circadian regulation. Altered expression of KChIPs has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several neurological and cardiovascular diseases. For example, KChIP2 is decreased in failing hearts, while loss of KChIP2 leads to increased susceptibility to arrhythmias. KChIP3 is increased in Alzheimer's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, but decreased in epilepsy and Huntington's disease. In the present review, we summarize the progress of recent studies regarding the structural properties, physiological functions, and pathological roles of KChIPs in both health and disease. We also summarize the small-molecule compounds that regulate the function of KChIPs. This review will provide an overview and update of the regulatory mechanism of the KChIP family and the progress of targeted drug research as a reference for researchers in related fields. In this study, we sought to improve the light trapping of textured silicon solar cells using the plasmonic light scattering of indium nanoparticles (In NPs) of various dimensions. The light trapping modes of textured-silicon surfaces with and without In NPs were investigated at an angle of incidence (AOI) ranging from 0° to 75°. The optical reflectance, external quantum efficiency (EQE), and photovoltaic performance were first characterized under an AOI of 0°. We then compared the EQE and photovoltaic current density-voltage (J-V) as a function of AOI in textured silicon solar cells with and without In NPs. We observed a reduction in optical reflectance and an increase in EQE when the cells textured with pyramidal structures were coated with In NPs. We also observed an impressive increase in the average weighted external quantum efficiency (ΔEQEw) and short-circuit current-density (ΔJsc) in cells with In NPs when illuminated under a higher AOI. The DEQEw values of cells with In NPs were 0.37% higher than those without In NPs under an AOI of 0°, and 3.48% higher under an AOI of 75°. The DJsc values of cells with In NPs were 0.50% higher than those without In NPs under an AOI of 0°, and 4.57% higher under an AOI of 75°. The application of In NPs clearly improved the light trapping effects. This study characterized the electrical and optical properties of single-junction GaAs solar cells coated with antireflective layers of silicon dioxide (SiO2), indium tin oxide (ITO), and a hybrid layer of SiO2/ITO applied using Radio frequency (RF) sputtering. The conductivity and transparency of the ITO film were characterized prior to application on GaAs cells. Reverse saturation-current and ideality factor were used to evaluate the passivation performance of the various coatings on GaAs solar cells. Optical reflectance and external quantum efficiency response were used to evaluate the antireflective performance of the coatings. Photovoltaic current-voltage measurements were used to confirm the efficiency enhancement obtained by the presence of the anti-reflective coatings. The conversion efficiency of the GaAs cells with an ITO antireflective coating (23.52%) exceeded that of cells with a SiO2 antireflective coating (21.92%). Due to lower series resistance and higher short-circuit current-density, the carrier collection of the GaAs cell with ITO coating exceeded that of the cell with a SiO2/ITO coating. The stainless steel bipolar plate has receivedmuch attention due to the cost of graphite bipolar plates. Since the micro-channel of bipolar plates plays the role of fuel flow field, electric connector and fuel sealing, an investigation of the deep drawing process for stainless steel micro-channel arrays is reported in this work. The updated Lagrangian formulation, degenerated shell finite element analysis, and the r-minimum rule have been employed to study the relationship between punch load and stroke, distributions of stress and strain, thickness variations and depth variations of individual micro-channel sections. A micro-channel array is practically formed, with a width and depth of a single micro-channel of 0.75 mm and 0.5 mm, respectively. Fractures were usually observed in the fillet corner of the micro-channel bottom. According to the experimental results, more attention should be devoted to the fillet dimension design of punch and die. A larger die fillet can lead to better formability and a reduction of the punch load. In addition, the micro-channel thickness and the fillet radius have to be taken into consideration at the same time. Abnormal intra-QRS potentials (AIQPs) are commonly observed in patients at high risk for ventricular tachycardia. We present a method for approximating a measured QRS complex using a non-linear neural network with all radial basis functions having the same smoothness. We extracted the high frequency, but low amplitude intra-QRS potentials using the approximation error to identify possible ventricular tachycardia. With a specified number of neurons, we performed an orthogonal least squares algorithm to determine the center of each Gaussian radial basis function. We found that the AIQP estimation error arising from part of the normal QRS complex could cause clinicians to misjudge patients with ventricular tachycardia. Our results also show that it is possible to correct this misjudgment by combining multiple AIQP parameters estimated using various spread parameters and numbers of neurons. Clinical trials demonstrate that higher AIQP-to-QRS ratios in the X, Y and Z leads are visible in patients with ventricular tachycardia than in normal subjects. A linear combination of 60 AIQP-to-QRS ratios can achieve 100% specificity, 90% sensitivity, and 95.8% total prediction accuracy for diagnosing ventricular tachycardia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Chikungunya virus (CHIKV), a member of the Alphavirus genus, is an important human emerging/re-emerging pathogen. Currently, there are no effective antiviral drugs or vaccines against CHIKV infection. Herein, we construct an infectious clone of CHIKV and an eGFP reporter CHIKV (eGFP-CHIKV) with an isolated strain (assigned to Asian lineage) from CHIKV-infected patients. The eGFP-CHIKV reporter virus allows for direct visualization of viral replication through the levels of eGFP expression. Using a known CHIKV inhibitor, ribavirin, we confirmed that the eGFP-CHIKV reporter virus could be used to identify inhibitors against CHIKV. Importantly, we developed a novel and reliable eGFP-CHIKV reporter virus-based neutralization assay that could be used for rapid screening neutralizing antibodies against CHIKV. Balancing battery cells is a key task for battery management systems (BMS). Imbalances of cells decrease the capacity and lifetime of the battery pack. Many balancing topologies and strategies have been proposed to balance the electric charges among cells and most of the intelligent control strategies select cells (to shuttle charges) by comparing their terminal voltages. However, the nature of battery equalization is to balance the energy stored in individual cells. The measured terminal voltage is just an external characteristic and cannot accurately reflect the state of charge (SOC) of the cell, especially in a noisy environment. Additionally, when the consistencies of cells are very poor, balancing the cells with terminal voltages will lead to serious errors. In this paper, we introduced a novel battery balancing method, in which the charge-balancing criterion was not the cell voltage, but the shuttling capacities among cells. Data stream mining (DSM) technique was used to calculate the shuttling capacities. A single switched capacitor (SSC) based cell balancing topology was used to test the performance of the proposed method. With the obtained summary information, the cells, the sequence, and the quantity of the equalized charge can be decided automatically by the proposed algorithm. In this paper, the leader-following consensus algorithm, which is accompanied with compensations related to neighboring agents' delayed states, is constructed for second-order multi-agent systems with communication delay. The wheel driving torque on four-wheel-drive electric vehicles (4WDEVs) can be modulated precisely and continuously, therefore maneuverability and energy-saving control can be carried out at the same time. In this paper, a wheel torque distribution strategy is developed based on multi-objective optimization to improve vehicle maneuverability and reduce energy consumption. In the high-layer of the presented method, sliding mode control is used to calculate the desired yaw moment due to the model inaccuracy and parameter error. In the low-layer, mathematical programming with the penalty function consisting of the yaw moment control offset, the drive system energy loss and the slip ratio constraint is used for wheel torque control allocation. The programming is solved with the combination of off-line and on-line optimization to reduce the calculation cost, and the optimization results are sent to motor controllers as torque commands. In response to the increasing threat of hypersonic weapons, it is of great importance for the defensive side to achieve fast prediction of their feasible attack domain and online inference of their most probable targets. In this study, an online footprint prediction and attack intention inference algorithm for hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs) is proposed by leveraging the utilization of deep neural networks (DNNs). Specifically, this study focuses on the following three contributions. First, a baseline multi-constrained entry guidance algorithm is developed based on a compound bank angle corridor, and then a dataset containing enough trajectories for the following DNN learning is generated offline by traversing different initial states and control commands. Second, DNNs are developed to learn the functional relationship between the flight state/command and the corresponding ranges; on this basis, an online footprint prediction algorithm is developed by traversing the maximum/minimum ranges and different heading angles. Due to the substitution of DNNs for multiple times of trajectory integration, the computational efficiency for footprint prediction is significantly improved to the millisecond level. Third, combined with the predicted footprint and the hidden information in historical flight data, the attack intention and most probable targets can be further inferred. Simulations are conducted through comparing with the state-of-the-art algorithms, and results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve accurate prediction for flight footprint and attack intention while possessing significant real-time advantage. The Laasraoui segmented and Arrhenius flow stress model, dynamic recrystallization (DRX) model, grain size prediction model, and hot processing map (HPM) of Fe-Cr-Mo-Mn steels were established through isothermal compression tests. The models and HPM were proven by experiment to be highly accurate. As the deformation temperature decreased or the strain rate increased, the flow stress increased and the grain size of the Fe-Cr-Mo-Mn steel decreased, while the volume fraction of DRX (Xdrx) decreased. The optimal range of the hot processing was determined to be 1050–1200 °C/0.369–1 s−1. Zigzag-like grain boundaries (GBs) and intergranular cracks were found in the unstable region, in which the disordered martensitic structure was observed. The orderly packet martensite was formed in the general processing region, and the mixed structure with incomplete DRX grains was composed of coarse and fine grains. The microstructure in the optimum processing region was composed of DRX grains and the multistage martensite. The convergence of edge computing systems with Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology has shown considerable promise in enhancing real-time applications across various domains. This paper presents an innovative edge computing system design specifically tailored for pavement defect detection within the Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADASs) domain. The system seamlessly integrates the AMD Xilinx AI platform into a customized circuit configuration, capitalizing on its capabilities. Utilizing cameras as input sensors to capture road scenes, the system employs a Deep Learning Processing Unit (DPU) to execute the YOLOv3 model, enabling the identification of three distinct types of pavement defects with high accuracy and efficiency. Following defect detection, the system efficiently transmits detailed information about the type and location of detected defects via the Controller Area Network (CAN) interface. This integration of FPGA-based edge computing not only enhances the speed and accuracy of defect detection, but also facilitates real-time communication between the vehicle's onboard controller and external systems. Simple Summary: PE_PGRS38 is a member of the PE/PPE protein family of M. tuberculosis. PE_PGRS members are unique, restricted to virulent mycobacteria, and their role in host–pathogen interactions is not yet fully elucidated. In this study, we constructed recombinant strains of M. smegmatis expressing the PE_PGRS38 protein of M. tuberculosis. Using in vitro and in vivo infection models, we investigated the role of PE_PGRS38 in host–pathogen interactions and the pathogenicity of tuberculosis. PE_PGRS38 enhanced the intracellular survival of recombinant M. smegmatis by downregulating proinflammatory responses. PE_PGRS38 also inhibited inflammation, the inflammasome, and apoptosis in RAW264.7 cells during infection. Similarly, PE_PGRS38 inhibited the expression level of TLR4 and NF-ĸB in the lungs of infected mice. These findings indicate that PE_PGRS38 is a potential virulence factor that contributes to pathogenicity by evading the host's immune responses and could aid in the development of antimycobacterial drugs and vaccines. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) ranks as the most lethal human pathogen, able to fend off repeated attacks by the immune system or medications. PE_PGRS proteins are hallmarks of the pathogenicity of Mtb and contribute to its antigenic diversity, virulence, and persistence during infection. M. smegmatis is a nonpathogenic mycobacterium that naturally lacks PE_PGRS and is used as a model to express Mtb proteins. PE_PGRS has the capability to evade host immune responses and enhance the intracellular survival of M. smegmatis. Despite the intense investigations into PE_PGRS proteins, their role in tuberculosis remains elusive. We engineered the recombinant M. smegmatis strain Ms-PE_PGRS38. The result shows that PE_PGRS38 is expressed in the cell wall of M. smegmatis. PE_PGRS38 contributes to biofilm formation, confers permeability to the cell wall, and shows variable responses to exogenous stresses. PE_PGRS38 downregulated TLR4/NF-κB signaling in RAW264.7 macrophages and lung tissues of infected mice. In addition, PE_PGRS38 decreased NLRP3-dependent IL-1β release and limited pathogen-mediated inflammasome activity during infection. With the development of smart grids, the application of localized relay protection devices has greatly reduced the distance between the secondary equipment and the primary equipment. The secondary equipment will be in a more complex electromagnetic environment during the operation of the GIS disconnector. The present study takes the multi-path electromagnetic disturbance on the secondary cable caused by the disconnector switching operation of the domestic 1000 kV ultra-high voltage GIS test circuit as the research background, solves the field-line coupling problem based on the finite integral technique, and combines the multi-conductor transmission line theory to solve the radiation disturbance and obtains its influencing factors. The results demonstrate that the radiated disturbance accounted for 16% of the overall electromagnetic disturbance when both ends of the shielding layer are grounded. The use of grounding at both ends of the shielding layer, reducing the height of the secondary cable wiring, avoiding the parallel arrangement of the secondary cables and the GIS pipe mother, and installing a low-pass filter, have different levels of suppression effects on electromagnetic disturbances. The research results will guide the reasonable arrangement of secondary cables in GIS substations to some extent and have reference significance for the protection of secondary equipment. Acute optic neuritis (ON) is a common cause of vision loss and is often associated with multiple sclerosis (MS). Cholesterol recycling has been identified as a key limiting factor in recovery after demyelination events. Thus, the purpose of our study was to determine if the augmentation of cholesterol transport by gentisic acid (GA) benefits retinal ganglion cell (RGC) development and myelination in organoid systems and enables the recovery of the ocular phenotype upon systemic GA treatment in a MOG-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) ON model. The retinal organoids treated with GA demonstrate an accelerated maturation when compared to the conventionally derived organoids, which was evidenced by the improved organization of Brn3a-GFP+RGC and increased synaptogenesis. A GA supplementation in brain organoids leads to a 10-fold increase in NG2 and Olig2 expression. Weekly GA injections of EAE mice significantly lessened motor-sensory impairment, protected amplitudes in pattern electroretinogram recordings, and preserved visual acuity over the study period of 56 days. Furthermore, GA-treated EAE mice revealed diminished GCL/IPL complex thinning when compared to the untreated EAE mice. An optic nerve histopathology revealed less severe grades of demyelination in the GA-treated EAE cohort and fewer infiltrating cells were observed. Technological obstacles to the use of rotary-type swing arm actuators to actuate optical pickup modules in small-form-factor (SFF) disk drives stem from a hinge's skewed actuation, subsequently inducing off-axis aberrations and deteriorating optical quality. This work describes a dual-stage seesaw-swivel actuator for optical pickup actuation. A triple-layered bimorph bender made of piezoelectric materials (PZTs) is connected to the suspension of the pickup head, while the tunable vibration absorber (TVA) unit is mountedon the seesaw swing arm to offer a balanced force to reduce vibrations in a focusing direction. Both PZT and TVA are designed to satisfy stable focusing operation operational requirements and compensate for the tilt angle or deformation of a disc. Despite neurosurgery following radiation and chemotherapy, residual glioblastoma (GBM) cells develop therapeutic resistance (TR) leading to recurrence. The GBM heterogeneity confers TR. Therefore, an effective strategy must target cancer stem cells (CSCs) and other malignant cancer cells. TGF-β and mesenchymal transition are the indicators for poor prognoses. The activity of aldehyde dehydrogenases (ALDHs) is a functional CSC marker. However, the interplay between TGF-β and ALDHs remains unclear. We developed radiation-resistant and radiation-temozolomide-resistant GBM models to investigate the underlying mechanisms conferring TR. Galunisertib is a drug targeting TGF-β receptors. Disulfiram (DSF) is an anti-alcoholism drug which functions by inhibiting ALDHs. The anti-tumor effects of combining DSF and Galunisertib were evaluated by in vitro cell grow, wound healing, Transwell assays, and in vivo orthotopic GBM model. Mesenchymal-like phenotype was facilitated by TGF-β in TR GBM. Additionally, TR activated ALDHs. DSF inhibited TR-induced cell migration and tumor sphere formation. However, DSF did not affect the tumor growth in vivo. Spectacularly, DSF sensitized TR GBM to Galunisertib both in vitro and in vivo. ALDH activity positively correlated with TGF-β-induced mesenchymal properties in TR GBM. The association of immune markers and clinicopathologic features and patient outcome has not been extensively studied in Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). We correlated tumoral PD-L1 and IDO1 expression, and intratumoral CD8+ and FoxP3+ lymphocytes count with clinicopathologic variables, Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, and patient outcomes in a series of 132 MCC. By univariate analyses, tumoral PD-L1 expression >1% and combined tumoral PD-L1 >1% and high intratumoral FoxP3+ lymphocyte count correlated with improved overall survival (OS) (p = 0.016, 0.0072), MCC-specific survival (MSS) (p = 0.019, 0.017), and progression-free survival (PFS) (p = 0.043, 0.004, respectively). High intratumoral CD8+ and FoxP3+ lymphocyte count correlated with longer MSS (p = 0.036) and improved PFS (p = 0.047), respectively. Ulceration correlated with worse OS and worse MSS. Age, male gender, and higher stage (3 and 4) significantly correlated with worse survival. MCPyV positivity correlated with immune response. By multivariate analyses, only ulceration and age remained as independent predictors of worse OS; gender and stage remained for shorter PFS. Tumoral PD-L1 expression and increased density of intratumoral CD8+ lymphocytes and FoxP+ lymphocytes may represent favorable prognosticators in a subset of MCCs. Developing ideal surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates is significant in biological detection. Compared with free non-aggregated noble metal nanoparticles, loading metal nanoparticles on a large matrix can achieve a higher SERS effect due to the existence of many "hot spots". A novel SERS substrate with intense "hot spots" was prepared through reducing gold ions with silicon nanocrystal containing polymer microspheres. The substrate exhibits high SERS sensitivity with an enhancement factor of 5.4 × 107. By applying 4-mercaptopyridine as a Raman reporter, the developed SERS substrate can realize measurement of pH values. The intensity ratio of 1574 to 1607 cm−1 of 4-mercaptopyridine showed excellent pH sensitivity, which increased as the surrounding pH increased. Transforming growth factor-beta 2 (TGF-β2), an important member of the TGF-β family, is a secreted protein that is involved in many biological processes, such as cell growth, proliferation, migration, and differentiation. TGF-β2 had been thought to be functionally identical to TGF-β1; however, an increasing number of recent studies uncovered the distinctive features of TGF-β2 in terms of its expression, activation, and biological functions. Mice deficient in TGF-β2 showed remarkable developmental abnormalities in multiple organs, especially the cardiovascular system. Dysregulation of TGF-β2 signalling was associated with tumorigenesis, eye diseases, cardiovascular diseases, immune disorders, as well as motor system diseases. Introduction: Mucosal melanoma is rare and associated with poorer prognosis in comparison to conventional melanoma subtypes. Little is known about the prognostic significance as well as possible associations between PARP1 and immunologic response in mucosal melanoma. Methods: PARP1, PD-L1 and IDO1 immunostains were performed on 192 mucosal melanomas including 86 vulvar, 89 sinonasal, and 17 anorectal melanomas. Results: By Kaplan–Meier analyses, high PARP1 expression correlated with worse overall and melanoma-specific survival (log-rank p values = 0.026 and 0.047, respectively). Tumors with combined PARP1 and IDO1 high expression correlated with worse overall and melanoma-specific survival (p = 0.015, 0.0034 respectively). By multivariate analyses, high PARP1 expression remained a predictor of worse survival independent of stage. By Fisher's exact test, high PARP1 expression correlated with highly mitogenic tumors (p = 0.02). High tumoral PD-L1 and IDO1 expression were associated with ulcerated primary tumors (p = 0.019, 0.0019, respectively). By linear regression analyses, correlations between PARP1 expression versus IDO1 expression (p = 0.0001) and mitotic index (p = 0.0052) were observed. Conclusion: Increased expression of PARP1 is an independent negative prognostic marker in mucosal melanomas. The converter transformer is a key equipment in high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system. Its oil-paper insulation system in the valve winding and outlet bushing experiences AC, DC, AC/DC, and transient impulse voltages simultaneously. The oil contamination problem is more serious under DC electric field. Therefore, it is significant to investigate the characteristic of particles motion and accumulation under DC electric field. In this paper, first, the movement and accumulation behavior of fiber particles and copper particles in mineral oil and natural ester were recorded and simulated. Then, the influence of fiber and copper particles on the oil conductivity was analyzed. Finally, the DC breakdown strength of mineral oil and natural ester with different particles concentration was compared. Results show that the movement speed of copper particles was larger than that of fiber particles. Fiber impurities were easy to form bridges in mineral oil, while there was no impurity bridge in natural ester. The current density of mineral oil containing particles is larger than that of the natural ester at the same testing time. The DC 50% probability breakdown voltages of oil samples containing fiber and copper particles decreased linearly with the increase of particle concentration, and the decrease rate of DC 50% probability breakdown voltages of oil containing copper particles were faster than that of oil containing fiber particles. Compared to pure mineral oil, the DC breakdown voltages corresponding to 50% probability of contaminated mineral oil showed a decrease from 11.9% to 22.5% when the fiber particle concentration increased from 0.001% to 0.012%. The DC 50% probability breakdown voltages of contaminated mineral oil with copper particles decreased from 23.8% to 45.0% when the particle concentration increased from 0.1g/L to 1.5g/L. Auraptene is the most abundant coumarin derivative from plants. The pharmacological value of this compound has been well demonstrated, especially in the prevention of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Platelet activation is a major factor contributing to arterial thrombosis. Thus, this study evaluated the influence of auraptene in platelet aggregation and thrombotic formation. Auraptene inhibited platelet aggregation in human platelets stimulated with collagen only. However, auraptene was not effective in inhibiting platelet aggregation stimulated with thrombin, arachidonic acid, and U46619. Auraptene also repressed ATP release, [Ca2+]i mobilization, and P-selectin expression. Moreover, it markedly blocked PAC-1 binding to integrin αIIbβ3. However, it had no influence on properties related to integrin αIIbβ3-mediated outside-in signaling, such as the adhesion number, spreading area of platelets, and fibrin clot retraction. Auraptene inhibited the phosphorylation of Lyn-Fyn-Syk, phospholipase Cγ2 (PLCγ2), protein kinase C (PKC), Akt, and mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs; extracellular-signal-regulated kinase (ERK1/2), and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK1/2), but not p38 MAPK). Neither SQ22536, an adenylate cyclase inhibitor, nor ODQ, a guanylate cyclase inhibitor, reversed the auraptene-mediated inhibition of platelet aggregation. This paper deals with the consensus tracking problem of heterogeneous linear multiagent systems under the repeatable operation environment, and adopts a proportional differential (PD)-type iterative learning control (ILC) algorithm based on the fractional-power tracking error. According to graph theory and operator theory, convergence condition is obtained for the systems under the interconnection topology that contains a spanning tree rooted at the reference trajectory named as the leader. Our algorithm based on fractional-power tracking error achieves a faster convergence rate than the usual PD-type ILC algorithm based on the integer-order tracking error. Plasmonic-enhanced photocatalysis using visible light is considered a promising strategy for pollution photodegradation. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive and quantitative understanding of the underlying mechanisms and interactions involved. In this study, we employed a two-step process to fabricate arrays of ZnO nanosheets decorated with Au nanoparticles (Au-ZnO NS). Various characterization techniques were used to examine the morphological, structural, and chemical properties of the fabricated Au-ZnO NS array. Furthermore, we systematically investigated the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange under visible light irradiation using Au-ZnO NS arrays prepared with varying numbers of photochemical reduction cycles. The results indicated that as the number of photochemical reduction cycles increased, the photodegradation efficiency initially increased but subsequently decreased. Under visible light irradiation, the Au-ZnO NS array obtained via four cycles of photochemical reduction exhibits the highest photocatalytic degradation rate of methyl orange 0.00926 min−1, which is six times higher than that of the ZnO NS array. To gain a better understanding of the plasmonic effect on photodegradation performance, we utilized electromagnetic simulations to quantitatively investigate the enhancement of electric fields in the Au-ZnO NS array. The simulations clearly presented the nonlinear dependencies of electric field intensity on the distribution of Au nanoparticles and the wavelength of radiation light, leading to a nonlinear enhancement of hot electron injection and eventual plasmonic photodegradation. The simulated model, corresponding to four cycles of photochemical reduction, exhibits the highest electric field intensity at 550 nm, which can be attributed to its strong plasmonic effect. This work provides mechanistic insights into plasmonic photocatalysts for utilizing visible light and represents a promising strategy for the rational design of high-performance visible light photocatalysts. This study intends to assess the analgesic effects, physical facilitation, and safety of willow bark use in patients with arthritis. Our study was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement. PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE, Web of Science, Cochrane, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched for relative randomized controlled trials (RCTs) describing the efficacy or adverse events of willow bark in patients with arthritis until 12 April 2023. We used Cochrane ROB 2.0 and the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations system to evaluate the quality of studies and evidence. The meta-analysis was carried out by the fix-effects model. This study included five studies with six RCTs consisting of 329 patients with arthritis. The results showed significant differences in pain relief and improvement in physical status for patients with arthritis between willow bark treatment and placebo groups, and no significant differences in the risk of all adverse events in patients with arthritis between willow bark treatment and placebo. Fungi of the order Boletales are extremely important in both ecology and economy, since most of them are ectomycorrhizal fungi, which play vital roles in maintaining forest ecosystems, water and soil protection, vegetation restoration and so on. Although previous studies have shown that this order has a very high species diversity in China, there are few reports on the species diversity of boletes in Jiangxi Province, China. Based on morphological (macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics) and phylogenetic analyses (ITS, LSU, and TEF1-α sequences), in this study, the wild boletes in Jiangxi Province were investigated, and five new species are described: Austroboletus albus, Xanthoconium violaceipes, Xanthoconium violaceofuscum, Xerocomus rutilans and Xerocomus subsplendidus. Two new acylphloroglucinol derivatives, 13,14-didehydroxygarcicowin C (1) and 13,14-didehydroxyisoxanthochymol (2), have been isolated from the stems of Garcinia multiflora, together with seven known compounds (3–9). The structures of new compounds 1 and 2 were elucidated by MS and extensive 1D/2D NMR spectroscopic analyses. Among the isolates, 13,14-didehydroxy-isoxanthochymol (2) and sampsonione B (3) exhibited inhibition against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced NF-κB activation in macrophages at 30 μM with relative luciferase activity values (inhibitory %) of 0.75 ± 0.03 (24 ± 4%) and 0.12 ± 0.03 (88 ± 4%), respectively. The coexistence of two spin components with different Larmor frequencies in colloidal CdSe and CdS quantum dots (QDs) leads to the entanglement of spin signals, complicating the analysis of dynamic processes and hampering practical applications. Here, we explored several methods, including varying the types of hole acceptors, air or anaerobic atmosphere and laser repetition rates, in order to facilitate the obtention of one single Larmor frequency in the coherent spin dynamics using time-resolved ellipticity spectroscopy at room temperature. In an air or nitrogen atmosphere, manipulating the photocharging processes by applying different types of hole acceptors, e.g., Li[Et3BH] and 1-octanethiol (OT), can lead to pure spin components with one single Larmor frequency. For as-grown QDs, low laser repetition rates favor the generation of the higher Larmor frequency spin component individually, while the lower Larmor frequency spin component can be enhanced by increasing the laser repetition rates. Increased fructose intake is an international issue. A maternal high-fructose diet during gestation and lactation could affect nervous system development in offspring. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) plays an important role in brain biology. However, the mechanism whereby maternal high-fructose diets influence offspring brain development by affecting lncRNAs is still unclear. Here, we administered 13% and 40% fructose water to establish a maternal high-fructose diet model during gestation and lactation. To determine lncRNAs and their target genes, full-length RNA sequencing was performed using the Oxford Nanopore Technologies platform, and 882 lncRNAs were identified. Moreover, the 13% fructose group and the 40% fructose group had differentially expressed lncRNA genes compared with the control group. Enrichment analyses and co-expression analyses were performed to investigate the changes in biological function. Furthermore, enrichment analyses, behavioral science experiments, and molecular biology experiments all indicated that the fructose group offspring showed anxiety-like behaviors. Supported nanostructured photocatalysis is considered to be a sustainable and promising method for water pollution photodegradation applications due to its fascinating features, including a high surface area, stability against aggregation, and easy handling and recovery. However, the preparation and morphological control of the supported nanostructured photocatalyst remains a challenge. Herein, a one-step hydrothermal method is proposed to fabricate the supported vertically aligned ZnO nanosheet arrays based on aluminum foil. The morphologically controlled growth of the supported ZnO nanosheet arrays on a large scale was achieved, and the effects of hydrothermal temperature on morphologic, structural, optical, and photocatalytic properties were observed. The results reveal that the surface area and thickness of the nanosheet increase simultaneously with the increase in the hydrothermal temperature. The increase in the surface area enhances the photocatalytic activity by providing more active sites, while the increase in the thickness reduces the charge transfer and thus decreases the photocatalytic activity. The influence competition between the area increasing and thickness increasing of the ZnO nanosheet results in the nonlinear dependence between photocatalytic activity and hydrothermal temperature. By optimizing the hydrothermal growth temperature, as fabricated and supported ZnO nanosheet arrays grown at 110 °C have struck a balance between the increase in surface area and thickness, it exhibits efficient photodegradation, facile fabrication, high recyclability, and improved durability. The RhB photodegradation efficiency of optimized and grown ZnO nanosheet arrays increased by more than four times that of the unoptimized structure. With 10 cm2 of as-fabricated ZnO nanosheet arrays, the degradation ratio of 10 mg/L MO, MB, OFL, and NOR was 85%, 51%, 58%, and 71% under UV irradiation (365 nm, 20 mW/cm2) for 60 min. All the target pollutant solutions were almost completely degraded under UV irradiation for 180 min. This work offers a facile way for the fabrication and morphological control of the supported nanostructured photocatalyst with excellent photodegradation properties and has significant implications in the practical application of the supported nanostructured photocatalyst for water pollution photodegradation. This paper deals with the speed synchronization control of integrated motor-transmission (IMT) powertrain systems in pure electric vehicles (EVs) over a controller area network (CAN) subject to both network-induced delays and network congestion. A CAN has advantages over point-to-point communication; however, it imposes network-induced delays and network congestion into the control system, which can deteriorate the shifting quality and make system integration difficult. This paper presents a co-design scheme combining active period scheduling and discrete-time slip mode control (SMC) to deal with both network-induced delays and network congestion of the CAN, which improves the speed synchronization control for high shifting quality and prevents network congestion for the system's integration. The results of simulations and hardware-in-loop experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, which can ensure satisfactory speed synchronization performance while significantly reducing the network's utilization. All-wheel-independent-drive electric vehicles (AWID-EVs) have considerable advantages in terms of energy optimization, drivability and driving safety due to the remarkable actuation flexibility of electric motors. However, in their current implementations, various real-time data in the vehicle control system are exchanged via a controller area network (CAN), which causes network congestion and network-induced delays. These problems could lead to systemic instability and make the system integration difficult. The goal of this paper is to provide a design methodology that can cope with all these challenges for the lateral motion control of AWID-EVs. Firstly, a continuous-time model of an AWID-EV is derived. Then an expression for determining upper and lower bounds on the delays caused by CAN is presented and with which a discrete-time model of the closed-loop CAN system is derived. An expression on the bandwidth utilization is introduced as well. Thirdly, a co-design based scheme combining a period-dependent linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and a dynamic period scheduler is designed for the resulting model and the stability criterion is also derived. The results of simulations and hard-in-loop (HIL) experiments show that the proposed methodology can effectively guarantee the stability of the vehicle lateral motion control while obviously declining the network congestion. An important principle in rational manufacturing design is matching the properties of composites to their intended uses. Herein, six laminated composites (LCs) were manufactured using fibrous moso bamboo and poplar veneer units, and their pore structure, water resistance, and mechanical properties were evaluated. The LC density (640–1290 kg/m3) increased significantly with increasing bamboo veneer unit content. The LC surface texture and roughness depended on the density and type of surface layer. With increasing LC density, the water absorption rate (WAR), width swelling rate (WSR), and thickness swelling rate (TSR) decreased exponentially and the mechanical properties increased linearly. This behavior was closely related to the changes in pore structure caused by density. Notably, the water resistance and mechanical properties of the LCs with densities higher than 910 kg/m3 were superior to the highest levels specified in GB/T 20241–2006 for "laminated veneer lumber" and GB/T 30364–2013 for "bamboo scrimber flooring". Species of the genus Russula are key components of ectomycorrhizal ecosystems worldwide, some of which are famous edible fungi. Although many new species have been described in China, their diversity in North China is still poorly known. Based on the morphology observation of specimens and molecular phylogenetic analyses, combined with the current classification frame of Russula, six new species of Russula subgenus Russula are proposed from the Yanshan Mountains in northern Beijing and northern Hebei Province of China in this study: viz. Russula miyunensis (subsection Chamaeleontinae), R. plana (subsection Chamaeleontinae), R. sinoparva (subsection Puellarinae), R. sinorobusta (subsection Puellarinae), R. subversatilis (subsection Roseinae), and R. yanshanensis (subsection Puellarinae). This is the first report of the species of Russula subgenus Russula from the Yanshan Mountains. This study enriches the species diversity of Russula in North China and provides new data support for the systematic study of Russula in subsequent research, including research and development on edibility.
