A point cloud is a simple and concise 3D representation, but point cloud generation is a long-term challenging task in 3D vision. However, most existing methods only focus on their effectiveness of generation and auto-encoding separately. Furthermore, both generative adversarial networks (GANs) and auto-encoders (AEs) are the most popular generative models. But there is a lack of related research that investigates the implicit connections between them in the field of point cloud generation. Thus, we propose a new bidirectional network (BI-Net) trained with collaborative learning, introducing more priors through the alternate parameter optimizations of a GAN and AE combination, which is different from the way of combining them at the network structure and loss function level. Specifically, BI-Net acts as a GAN and AE in different data processing directions, where their network structures can be reused. If optimizing only the GAN without the AE, there is no direct constraint of ground truth on the generator's parameter optimization. This unique approach enables better network optimization and leads to superior generation results. Moreover, we propose a nearest neighbor mutual exclusion (NNME) loss to further homogenize the spatial distribution of generated points during the reverse direction. Extensive experiments were conducted, and the results show that the BI-Net produces competitive and high-quality results on reasonable structure and uniform distributions compared to existing state-of-the-art methods. Background: Current guidelines consider atrial fibrillation (AF) type as the prognostic factor for a recommendation of catheter ablation. We aimed to determine whether LA and LA appendage (LAA) volumes measured using multislice computed tomography (MSCT) were related to long-term outcomes in AF following radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA). Methods: We evaluated 152 consecutive patients with drug-refractory AF (median age, 55.8 ± 9.6 years), including 110 male patients, who underwent RFCA in a single center. All patients underwent MSCT imaging for anatomical assessment. The endpoint of this study was documented AF recurrence after RFCA. Results: The overall procedure success rate was 77.6% (n = 118) during a mean follow-up period of 12.6 months. The LA volume was significantly larger for those who experienced AF recurrence after RFCA than for the patients without recurrent AF after the procedure (153.8 ± 29.9 mL vs. 139.2 ± 34.1 mL, p = 0.025). However, LAA volumes were nearly equivalent between the patients with and without AF recurrence after RFCA (16.2 ± 6.3 mL and 14.7 ± 6.5 mL, respectively; p = 0.235). LA volume ≥ 153.2 mL was the optimal cutoff value for estimating AF recurrence after RFCA, with 94% sensitivity and 66% specificity. LA volume remained an independent predictor of both AF recurrence and permanent AF. Conclusions: LA volume as assessed by MSCT might be helpful for identifying patients likely to achieve successful AF ablation. Accurate inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) canal segmentation has been considered a crucial task in dentistry. Failing to accurately identify the position of the IAN canal may lead to nerve injury during dental procedures. While IAN canals can be detected from dental cone beam computed tomography, they are usually difficult for dentists to precisely identify as the canals are thin, small, and span across many slices. This paper focuses on improving accuracy in segmenting the IAN canals. By integrating our proposed frequency-domain attention mechanism in UNet, the proposed frequency attention UNet (FAUNet) is able to achieve 75.55 % and 81.35 % in the Dice and surface Dice coefficients, respectively, which are much higher than other competitive methods, by adding only 224 parameters to the classical UNet. Compared to the classical UNet, our proposed FAUNet achieves a 2.39 % and 2.82 % gain in the Dice coefficient and the surface Dice coefficient, respectively. The potential advantage of developing attention in the frequency domain is also discussed, which revealed that the frequency-domain attention mechanisms can achieve better performance than their spatial-domain counterparts. The spatiotemporal evolution of photogenerated charge carriers on surfaces and at interfaces of photoactive materials is an important issue for understanding fundamental physical processes in optoelectronic devices and advanced materials. Conventional optical probe-based microscopes that provide indirect information about the dynamic behavior of photogenerated carriers are inherently limited by their poor spatial resolution and large penetration depth. Herein, we develop an ultrafast scanning electron microscope (USEM) with a planar emitter. The photoelectrons per pulse in this USEM can be two orders of magnitude higher than that of a tip emitter, allowing the capture of high-resolution spatiotemporal images. We used the contrast change of the USEM to examine the dynamic nature of surface carriers in an InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode (APD) after femtosecond laser excitation. It was observed that the photogenerated carriers showed notable longitudinal drift, lateral diffusion, and carrier recombination associated with the presence of photovoltaic potential at the surface. 5G cellular networks are already more than six times faster than 4G networks, and their packet loss rate, especially in the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), can reach 0.5% in many cases, such as when there is high-speed movement or obstacles nearby. In such high bandwidth and high packet loss network environments, traditional congestion control algorithms, such as CUBIC and bottleneck bandwidth and round-trip propagation time (BBR), have been unable to balance flow fairness and high performance, and their flow rate often takes a long time to converge. We propose a congestion control algorithm based on bottleneck routing feedback using an in-network control mode called bottleneck routing feedback (BRF). We use SDN technology (OpenFlow protocol) to collect network bandwidth information, and BRF controls the data transmission rate of the sender. By adding the bandwidth information of the bottleneck in the option field in the ACK packet, considering the flow fairness and the flow convergence rate, a bandwidth allocation scheme compatible with multiple congestion control algorithms is proposed to ensure the fairness of all flows and make them converge faster. The performance of BRF is evaluated via Mininet. The experimental results show that BRF provides higher bandwidth utilization, faster convergence rate, and fairer bandwidth allocation than existing congestion control algorithms in 5G cellular networks. Previous studies have discussed the impact of the socioeconomically disadvantaged stereotype threat (SDST) on inhibitory control. But the specific influences of the SDST on inhibitory control in different household income groups are not clear. We hypothesized that the SDST had different effects on inhibitory control in individuals with distinct household income, and the attribution of stimuli would influence it as well, especially the currency value of the stimuli. To investigate it, two studies were conducted, which required inhibiting their motor responses. Specifically, Study 1 explored the influence of the SDST on basic inhibitory control. Study 2 analyzed the influence of the SDST on inhibitory control when the input stimuli included currency values and monetary conception. The results revealed that the inhibitory control ability was worse in the lower income group but not during the processing of stimuli with currency value. For the effect of the SDST, it found that there was a negative effect on those with a lower household income and a positive effect on those with a higher household income. Based on the findings, the effect of the SDST on inhibitory control in human beings is not stable; instead, it varies depending on the traits of the stimuli in different tasks and of the individuals themselves. With the advancement in big data and cloud computing technology, we have witnessed tremendous developments in applying intelligent techniques in network operation and management. However, learning- and data-based solutions for network operation and maintenance cannot effectively adapt to the dynamic security situation or satisfy administrators' expectations alone. Anomaly detection of time-series monitoring indicators has been a major challenge for network administrative personnel. Monitored indicators in network operations are characterized by multiple instances with high dimensions and fluctuating time-series features and rely on system resource deployment and business environment variations. Hence, there is a growing consensus that conducting anomaly detection with machine intelligence under the operation and maintenance personnel's guidance is more effective than solely using learning and modeling. This paper intends to model the anomaly detection task as a Markov Decision Process and adopts the Double Deep Q-Network algorithm to train an anomaly detection agent, in which the multidimensional temporal convolution network is applied as the principal structure of the Q network and the interactive guidance information from the operation and maintenance personnel is introduced into the procedure to facilitate model convergence. Experimental results on the SMD dataset indicate that the proposed modeling and detection method achieves higher precision and recall rates compared to other learning-based methods. With the progress of society and the diversification of transportation modes, people are faced with more and more complicated travel choices, and thus, multi-criteria route choosing optimization problems have drawn increased attention in recent years. A number of multi-criteria traffic network equilibrium problems have been proposed, but most of them do not involve data uncertainty nor computational methods. This paper focuses on the methods for solving robust multi-criteria traffic network equilibrium problems with path capacity constraints. The concepts of the robust vector equilibrium and the robust vector equilibrium with respect to the worst case are introduced, respectively. For the robust vector equilibrium, an equivalent min–max optimization problem is constructed. A direct search algorithm, in which the step size without derivatives and redundant parameters, is proposed for solving this min–max problem. In addition, we construct a smoothing optimization problem based on a variant version of ReLU activation function to compute the robust weak vector equilibrium flows with respect to the worst case and then find robust vector equilibrium flows with respect to the worst case by using the heaviside step function. Finally, extensive numerical examples are given to illustrate the excellence of our algorithms compared with existing algorithms. It is shown that the proposed min–max algorithm may take less time to find the robust vector equilibrium flows and the smoothing method can more effectively generate a subset of the robust vector equilibrium with respect to the worst case. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common intestinal malignancy, and nearly 70% of patients with this cancer develop metastatic disease. In the present study, we synthesized a novel compound, termed N-(3-(5,7-dimethylbenzo [d]oxazol-2-yl)phenyl)-5-nitrofuran-2-carboxamide (compound 275#), and found that it exhibits antiproliferative capability in suppressing the proliferation and growth of CRC cell lines. Furthermore, compound 275# triggered caspase 3-mediated intrinsic apoptosis of mitochondria and autophagy initiation. An investigation of the molecular mechanisms demonstrated that compound 275# induced intrinsic apoptosis, and autophagy initiation was largely mediated by increasing the levels of the intracellular accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in CRC cells. Taken together, these data suggest that ROS accumulation after treatment with compound 275# leads to mitochondria-mediated apoptosis and autophagy activation, highlighting the potential of compound 275# as a novel therapeutic agent for the treatment of CRC. Postmenopausal women experience several symptoms, including inflammation and a sharp rise in oxidative stress caused by estrogen deprivation. Although estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) is generally regarded as an effective treatment for menopause, it has been used less frequently due to some adverse effects and high costs. Therefore, there is an immediate need to develop an effective herbal-based treatment that is affordable for low-income populations. Acordingly, this study explored the estrogen-like properties of methanol extracts from Cynanchum wilfordii (CW) and Poligonum multiflorum (PM), two important medicinal plants in Republic of Korea, Japan, and China. Due to the similar names and morphologies of these two radixes, they are frequently confused in the marketplace. Our previous colleagues discriminated between these two plants. In this study, we investigated the estrogenic activity of PM and CW using several in vitro assays with their possible mechanism of action. First, their phytochemical contents, such as gallic acid, 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-glucoside (TSG) and emodin, were quantified using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Secondly, estrogen-like activity was assessed utilizing the well-known E-screen test and gene expression analysis in estrogen receptor (ER)-positive MCF7 cells. ROS inhibition and anti-inflammatory effects were analyzed using HaCaT and Raw 264.7 cells, respectively. Our findings demonstrate that PM extracts significantly increased the expression of the estrogen-dependent genes (ERα, ERβ, pS2) and boosted MCF7 cell proliferation in comparison to CW extracts. Additionally, PM extract demonstrated a significant reduction in reactive oxygen species (ROS) production as well as an enhanced antioxidant profile compared to the CW extract. Further, the PM extract treatment significantly reduced the generation of nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 cells, a murine macrophage cell line, demonstrating the anti-inflammatory properties of the extract. In this study, 2-benzyl-10a-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-2,3-dihydropyrazino[1,2-a]indole-1,4,10(10aH)-trione (DHPITO), a previously identified inhibitor against hepatocellular carcinoma cells, is shown to exert its cytotoxic effects by suppressing the proliferation and growth of CRC cells. An investigation of its molecular mechanism confirmed that the cytotoxic activity of DHPITO is mediated through the targeting of microtubules with the promotion of subsequent microtubule polymerisation. With its microtubule-stabilising ability, DHPITO also consistently arrested the cell cycle of the CRC cells at the G2/M phase by promoting the phosphorylation of histone 3 and the accumulation of EB1 at the cell equator, reduced the levels of CRC cell migration and invasion, and induced cellular apoptosis. Furthermore, the compound could suppress both tumour size and tumour weight in a CRC xenograft model without any obvious side effects. Taken together, the findings of the present study reveal the antiproliferative and antitumour mechanisms through which DHPITO exerts its activity, indicating its potential as a putative chemotherapeutic agent and lead compound with a novel structure. School engagement has assumed an important place in current developmental psychology and educational research due to its potential to address students' low achievement, high dropout rates, and misbehavior. Although much has been written about the antecedents and outcomes of student engagement, literature on how students' level of engagement differs in response to different teaching styles was missing on a large scale. Understanding the patterns and risks linked with student engagement provides opportunities for targeted intervention. This study explored primary school students' engagement and burnout profiles and how different profiles interacted with perceived classroom teaching styles (i.e., autonomy-supportive & autonomy suppressive). Latent profile analysis resulted in four student engagement subgroups: moderately engaged, engaged, moderately burned out, and burned out. Students clustered into engagement groups were likely to report higher autonomy support from teachers. In contrast, burned-out groups were more likely to rate teachers' teaching styles as suppressive (i.e., autonomy suppressive). Collectively, the study indicated that autonomy-supportive teaching behaviors are pivotal in understanding student engagement and school burnout. Thus, tailored teacher-focused intervention programs that enhance teachers' awareness of autonomy-supportive teaching is important. Time-series representation is the most important task in time-series analysis. One of the most widely employed time-series representation method is symbolic aggregate approximation (SAX), which converts the results from piecewise aggregate approximation to a symbol sequence. SAX is a simple and effective method; however, it only focuses on the mean value of each segment in the time-series. Here, we propose a novel time-series representation method—distance- and momentum-based symbolic aggregate approximation (DM-SAX)—that can secure time-series distributions by calculating the perpendicular distance from the time-axis to each data point and consider the time-series trend by adding a momentum factor reflecting the direction of previous data points. Experimental results for 29 highly imbalanced classification problems on the UCR datasets revealed that DM-SAX affords the optimal area under the curve (AUC) among competing time-series representation methods (SAX, extreme-SAX, overlap-SAX, and distance-based SAX). We statistically verified that performance improvements resulted in significant differences in the rankings. In addition, DM-SAX yielded the optimal AUC for real-world wire cutting and crimping process dataset. The Syrian hamster has proved useful in the evaluation of therapeutics and vaccines for severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). To advance the model for preclinical studies, we conducted serial sacrifice of lungs, large pulmonary vessels, and hearts from male and female Syrian hamsters for days 1–4, and 8 post-infection (dpi) following infection with a high dose of SARS-CoV-2. Evaluation of microscopic lung histopathology scores suggests 4 and 8 dpi as prime indicators in the evaluation of moderate pathology with bronchial hyperplasia, alveolar involvement and bronchiolization being key assessments of lung disease and recovery, respectively. In addition, neutrophil levels, red blood cell count and hematocrit showed significant increases during early infection. We present histological evidence of severe damage to the pulmonary vasculature with extensive leukocyte transmigration and the loss of endothelial cells and tunica media. Our evidence of endothelial and inflammatory cell death in the pulmonary vessels suggests endothelialitis secondary to SARS-CoV-2 epithelial cell infection as a possible determinant of the pathological findings along with the host inflammatory response. Lastly, pathological examination of the heart revealed evidence for intracardiac platelet/fibrin aggregates in male and female hamsters on 8 dpi, which might be indicative of a hypercoagulative state in these animals. Simple Summary: As demand for lamb is increasing, shortening the growth cycle and increasing meat production in lambs are major concerns today. Protein and energy are the two nutrients that most directly drive meat production in animals. In lambs, however, too few applications are available through nutrient combinations. We believe it is feasible to encourage animals to improve meat production performance by regulating the simplest nutrients in feed. In this experiment, we investigated the effects of three dietary ingredients with protein-to-fat ratios on growth, slaughter performance, fat deposition and meat quality of Small-Tail Han lambs. The aim of the current research was to gain insights/provide ideas for enhancing nutrient combination effects to improve animal production performance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of feed ingredients with different protein-to-fat ratios on growth, slaughter performance and meat quality of Small-Tail Han lambs. Forty-five Small-Tail Han lambs (♂) (BW = 34.00 ± 2.5 kg, age = 120 ± 9 d) were randomly divided into groups with three different experimental treatments: (1) PF 5, with the ratio of protein to fat (CP:EE) of 50 to 5; (2) PF10, CP: EE = 50:10; (3) PF20, CP: EE = 50:20. Each treatment group had 15 lambs, and each sheep was a repeat. This experiment lasted for 65 days, with feed intake recorded daily, and animals being weighed on days 0, 30, and 65. At the conclusion of the experiment, eight lambs from each group were slaughtered to assess slaughter performance and meat quality. The results showed that the average daily gain (ADG) of the three groups were 315.27, 370.15 and 319.42 g/d, respectively. The PF10 group had the highest ADG (370.15 g) (p < 0.05). Forestomach weights (1216.88 g) of the PF10 group were significantly higher than those of the other groups (p < 0.05). There were no differences (p > 0.05) in fat percentages in various parts of body among treatments. Feed conversion of the PF10 group was higher (p < 0.05) than that of PF 5 and PF 20 groups. Furthermore, the PF10 group had a higher (p > 0.05) carcass weight and slaughter rate and there were few differences between the other groups in terms of dry matter intake, meat quality, organ weight, and fat deposition (p > 0.05). Silk fibers suffer from microstructural changes due to various external environmental conditions including daily washings. In this paper, we take the backscattering Mueller matrix images of silk samples for non-destructive and real-time quantitative characterization of the wavelength-scale microstructure and examination of the effects of washing by different detergents. The 2D images of the 16 Mueller matrix elements are reduced to the frequency distribution histograms (FDHs) whose central moments reveal the dominant structural features of the silk fibers. A group of new parameters are also proposed to characterize the wavelength-scale microstructural changes of the silk samples during the washing processes. Monte Carlo (MC) simulations are carried out to better understand how the Mueller matrix parameters are related to the wavelength-scale microstructure of silk fibers. The good agreement between experiments and simulations indicates that the Mueller matrix polarimetry and FDH based parameters can be used to quantitatively detect the wavelength-scale microstructural features of silk fibers. The classification of lower limb gait phase is very important for the control of exoskeleton robots. In order to enable the exoskeleton to determine gait phase and provide appropriate assistance to the wearer, we propose a compound network based on CNN-BiLSTM. The method uses data from inertial measurement units placed on the leg and pressure sensor arrays placed on the sole as inputs to the model. The convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to obtain the local key features of gait data, and then the bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) network is used to extract the serialized gait phase information from the local key features to obtain the high-level feature expression. Finally, the seven phases of both feet were obtained through the classification of the softmax layer. We designed a gait acquisition system and collected the gait data from seven subjects at varying walking speeds. In the test set, the highest gait phase classification accuracy can reach 95.09%. We compared the proposed model with the long short-term memory (LSTM) network and gated recurrent unit (GRU) network. The experimental results show that the average accuracy of CNN-BiLSTM network from seven subjects is 0.417% higher than that of the LSTM network and 0.596% higher than that of the GRU network. Therefore, the ability of the CNN-BiLSTM network to classify gait phases can be applied in designing exoskeleton controllers that can better assist for different gait phases correctly to assist the wearer to walk. Hafnium(IV) triflate (Hf(OTf)4) has been identified as a potent catalyst for the direct three-component synthesis of β-carbamate ketones. This new method, featuring a low catalyst loading, fast reaction rate, and solvent-free conditions, provided facile access to a diversity of carbamate-protected Mannich bases. 5-Hydroxymethyl-2′-deoxycytidine (5hmdC) phosphoramidite and triphosphate are important building blocks in 5hmdC-containing DNA synthesis for epigenetic studies. However, efficient and practical methods for the synthesis of these compounds are still limited. The current research provides an intensively improved synthetic method that enables the preparation of commercially available cyanoethyl-protected 5hmdC phosphoramidite with an overall yield of 39% on 5 g scale. In situ mining is a practical and feasible technology for extracting oil shale. However, the extracted oil shale is subject to formation stress. This study systematically investigates the pyrolysis–mechanics–seepage problems of oil shale exploitation, which are subject to thermomechanical coupling using a thermal simulation experimental device representing a closed system, high-temperature rock mechanics testing system, and high-temperature triaxial permeability testing device. The results reveal the following. (i) The yield of gaseous hydrocarbon in the closed system increases throughout the pyrolysis reaction. Due to secondary cracking, the production of light and heavy hydrocarbon components first increases, and then decreases during the pyrolysis reaction. The parallel first-order reaction kinetic model shows a good fit with the pyrolysis and hydrocarbon generation processes of oil shale. With increasing temperature, the hydrocarbon generation conversion rate gradually increases, and the uniaxial compressive strength of oil shale was found to initially decrease and then increase. The compressive strength was the lowest at 400 °C, and the conversion rate of hydrocarbon formation gradually increased. The transformation of kaolinite into metakaolinite at high temperatures is the primary reason for the increase in compressive strength of oil shale at 400–600 °C. (ii) When the temperature is between 20 and 400 °C, the magnitude of oil shale permeability under stress is small (~10−2 md). When the temperature exceeds 400 °C, the permeability of the oil shale is large, and it decreases approximately linearly with increasing pore pressure, which is attributed to the joint action of the gas slippage effect, adsorption effect, and effective stress. The Qilian Mountains (QLM) are an important ecological barrier in western China. High-precision land cover data products are the basic data for accurately detecting and evaluating the ecological service functions of the QLM. In order to study the land cover in the QLM and performance of different remote sensing classification algorithms for land cover mapping based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud platform, the higher spatial resolution remote sensing images of Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2; digital elevation data; and three remote sensing classification algorithms, including the support vector machine (SVM), the classification regression tree (CART), and the random forest (RF) algorithms, were used to perform supervised classification of Sentinel-2 images of the QLM. Furthermore, the results obtained from the classification process were compared and analyzed by using different remote sensing classification algorithms and feature-variable combinations. The results indicated that: (1) the accuracy of the classification results acquired by using different remote sensing classification algorithms were different, and the RF had the highest classification accuracy, followed by the CART and the SVM; (2) the different feature variable combinations had different effects on the overall accuracy (OA) of the classification results and the performance of the identification and classification of the different land cover types; and (3) compared with the existing land cover products for the QLM, the land cover maps obtained in this study had a higher spatial resolution and overall accuracy. Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) was coupled to gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and a method optimized to quantitatively and qualitatively measure a large array of volatile metabolites in alfalfa glandular trichomes isolated from stems, trichome-free stems, and leaves as part of a non-targeted metabolomics approach. Major SPME extraction parameters optimized included SPME fiber composition, extraction temperature, and extraction time. The optimized SPME method provided the most chemically diverse coverage of alfalfa volatile and semi-volatile metabolites using a DVB/CAR/PDMS fiber, extraction temperature of 60 °C, and an extraction time of 20 min. Alfalfa SPME-GC-MS profiles were processed using automated peak deconvolution and identification (AMDIS) and quantitative data extraction software (MET-IDEA). A total of 87 trichome, 59 stem, and 99 leaf volatile metabolites were detected after background subtraction which removed contaminants present in ambient air and associated with the fibers and NaOH/EDTA buffer solution containing CaCl2. Thirty-seven volatile metabolites were detected in all samples, while 15 volatile metabolites were uniquely detected only in glandular trichomes, 9 only in stems, and 33 specifically in leaves as tissue specific volatile metabolites. Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) and principal component analysis (PCA) of glandular trichomes, stems, and leaves showed that the volatile metabolic profiles obtained from the optimized SPME-GC-MS method clearly differentiated the three tissues (glandular trichomes, stems, and leaves), and the biochemical basis for this differentiation is discussed. Explosively formed projectiles (EFPs) are widely used in civil applications and the military field for their excellent impact performance. How to give full play to the energy accumulation effect of explosives and improve the penetration performance has become the main problem of EFP design. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of liner structure on EFP formation and its penetration behavior. In order to achieve this, a finite element (FE) model was first established on the basis of the Lagrange and ALE method. Then, formation and penetration performance tests of EFP were performed to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed FE model, where the configuration, velocity of EFP, and penetration diameter left on the target plate were compared. Finally, by using the proposed FE model, the entire process of the formation and penetration behavior of EFP with axial symmetrical variable thickness liners were analyzed, where spherical-segment liners with uniform and non-uniform thickness were developed. The results were drawn as follows: the numerical simulation error of EFP velocity was less than 5%, and the simulated penetration diameter was compared to the 8.6% error obtained from the experimental method. It demonstrated that the proposed FE model had higher prediction precision. After the explosive was detonated, a forward-folding EFP was formed by the liner with a thin edge thickness, while the EFP formed by the liner with uniform thickness had a backward-folded configuration. It was also found that the liner with a thin edge thickness gave the largest steady velocity of EFP, and it was the lowest by using the liner with uniform thickness. There were two types of loads generated after the formation of an EFP, those were shock wave loading and an EFP, both causing damage in the target plate during the process of an EFP's penetration into it. The shock wave induced by liners with non-uniform thickness caused higher damage in the target plate, the maximum value of stress was reached at about 4.0 GPa. The forward-folding EFP formed by the liner with the thinnest edge thickness had the largest penetration ability. Fecal calprotectin (FC) is commonly used to assess Crohn's disease (CD) activity. However, standardized cut-off values accounting for bowel resection history and disease location are lacking. In this study, we analyzed data from patients with CD who underwent magnetic resonance enterography, ileocolonoscopy, and FC measurements from January 2017 to December 2018. In 267 cases from 254 patients, the FC levels in the 'operated' patients were higher when the disease was active compared with those who were in the remission group (178 vs. 54.7 μg/g; p < 0.001), and similar findings were obtained for the 'non-operated' patients (449.5 vs. 40.95 μg/g; p < 0.001). The FC levels differed significantly according to the location of inflammation, with lower levels in the small bowel compared to those in the colon. The FC cut-off levels of 70.8 μg/g and 142.0 μg/g were considered optimal for predicting active disease for operated and non-operated patients, respectively. The corresponding FC cut-off levels of 70.8 μg/g and 65.0 μg/g were observed for patients with disease only in the small bowel. In conclusion, different FC cut-off values would be applicable to patients with CD based on their bowel resection history and disease location. Simple Summary: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a subtype of invasive breast cancer with an aggressive phenotype that has decreased survival compared with other types of breast cancers, due in part to the lack of biomarker driven targeted therapies. Here, we show that breast cancer patients whose tumors show high levels of cyclin E expression have a higher prevalence of BRCA1/2 alterations and have the worst clinical outcomes. In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that combination therapies with poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and Wee1 kinase inhibitors in TNBC cells with either BRCA1 mutations or high levels of cyclin E results in synergistic cell death due to induction of replicative stress and downregulation of DNA repair. These studies suggest that by preselecting patients whose tumors have high cyclin E levels or harbor mutations in BRCA1, only those cases with the highest replicative stress properties will be subjected to combination treatment and likely result in synergistic activity of the two agents. The identification of biomarker-driven targeted therapies for patients with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains a major clinical challenge, due to a lack of specific targets. Here, we show that cyclin E, a major regulator of G1 to S transition, is deregulated in TNBC and is associated with mutations in DNA repair genes (e.g., BRCA1/2). Breast cancers with high levels of cyclin E not only have a higher prevalence of BRCA1/2 mutations, but also are associated with the worst outcomes. Using several in vitro and in vivo model systems, we show that TNBCs that harbor either mutations in BRCA1/2 or overexpression of cyclin E are very sensitive to the growth inhibitory effects of AZD-1775 (Wee 1 kinase inhibitor) when used in combination with MK-4837 (PARP inhibitor). Combination treatment of TNBC cell lines with these two agents results in synergistic cell killing due to induction of replicative stress, downregulation of DNA repair and cytokinesis failure that results in increased apoptosis. These findings highlight the potential clinical application of using cyclin E and BRCA mutations as biomarkers to select only those patients with the highest replicative stress properties that may benefit from combination treatment with Wee 1 kinase and PARP inhibitors. Wind action is one of the environmental actions that has significant static and dynamic effects on long-span bridges. The lateral wind speed is the main factor affecting the lateral displacement of the main girder of the bridge. The main objective of the paper is to use the improved multi-rate fusion method to correct the monitoring data so that accurate correlation modeling of wind speed-displacement can be achieved. Two Kalman gain coefficients are introduced to improve the traditional multi-rate fusion method. The fusion method is verified by the results of simulated data analysis in time domain and frequency domain. Then, the improved multi-rate fusion method is used to fuse the monitoring lateral displacement and acceleration data of a bridge under strong wind action. The corrected lateral wind speed and displacement data is further applied to establish the correlation model through the linear regression. The improved multi-rate fusion method can overcome the inaccuracy of the high frequency stage of a Global Positioning System (GPS) sensor and the low frequency stage of acceleration sensor. The correlation coefficient of wind speed-displacement after fusion increases and the confidence interval width of regression model decreases, which indicates that the accuracy of the correlation model between wind speed and displacement is improved. The tectonic inversion of the Songliao Basin during the Cenozoic may have played an important role in controlling the development of sandstone-type uranium deposits. The widely distributed mafic intrusions in the host sandstones of the Qianjiadian U ore deposits provided new insights to constrain the regional tectonic evolution and the genesis of the U mineralization. In this study, zircon U-Pb dating, whole-rock geochemistry, Sr-Nd-Pb isotope analysis, and mineral chemical compositions were presented for the mafic rocks from the Qianjiadian area. The mafic rocks display low SiO2 (44.91–52.05 wt.%), high TFe2O3 contents (9.97–16.46 wt.%), variable MgO (4.59–15.87 wt.%), and moderate K2O + Na2O (3.19–6.52 wt.%), and can be subdivided into AB group (including basanites and alkali olivine basaltic rocks) and TB group (mainly tholeiitic basaltic rocks). They are characterized by homogenous isotopic compositions (εNd (t) = 3.47–5.89 and 87Sr/86Sr = 0.7032–0.7042) and relatively high radiogenic 206Pb/204Pb (18.13–18.34) and Nb/U ratios (23.0–45.6), similar to the nearby Shuangliao basalts, suggesting a common asthenospheric origin enriched with slab-derived components prior to melting. Zircon U-Pb and previous Ar-Ar dating show that the AB group formed earlier (51–47 Ma) than the TB group (42–40 Ma). Compared to the TB group, the AB group has higher TiO2, Na2O, K2O, P2O5, Ce, and HREE contents and Ta/Yb and Sr/Yb ratios, which may have resulted from variable depth of partial melting in association with lithospheric thinning. Combined with previous research, the Songliao Basin experienced: (1) Eocene (~50–40 Ma) lithospheric thinning and crustal extension during which mafic rocks intruded into the host sandstones of the Qianjiadian deposit, (2) a tectonic inversion from extension to tectonic uplift attributed to the subduction of the Pacific Plate occurring at ~40 Ma, and (3) Oligo–Miocene (~40–10 Ma) tectonic uplift, which is temporally associated with U mineralization. Finally, the close spatial relation between mafic intrusions and the U mineralization, dike-related secondary reduction, and secondary oxidation of the mafic rocks in the Qianjiadian area suggest that Eocene mafic rocks and their alteration halo in the Songliao Basin may have played a role as a reducing barrier for the U mineralization. The connectivity of the internal pores and fractures in oil shale is the critical factor in determining the success of the insitu pyrolysis of the oil shale with superheated steam. In this paper, using a self-developed superheated steam pyrolysis experimental system, oil shale samples were subjected to pyrolysis experiments at different steam temperatures. Then, the oil shale samples were scanned with high-precision micro-CT equipment to obtain the three-dimensional digital core of oil shale (DCOS). Based on the three-dimensional site percolation theory and renormalization group algorithm, the pore and fracture connectivity characteristics of the DCOSs were studied. The results show that when the steam temperature reached the pyrolysis temperature for oil shale, a series of pores was formed during the pyrolysis process. These pores gradually connected the adjacent fracture and subsequently formed a massive pore-fracture cluster. However, from room temperature to 555 °C, there were always parts with porosity less than 5% in the DCOSs perpendicular to the direction of the sedimentary bedding, forming the bottleneck of the seepage passage. This occurrence is the main reason that the permeability of the oil shale perpendicular to the direction of the sedimentary bedding is far lower than that parallel to the direction of the sedimentary bedding. The skin is the largest and a remarkably plastic organ that serves as a protective barrier against environmental stimuli and injuries throughout life. Skin injuries are serious health problems, and wound healing is a critical process to replace devitalized cellular and tissue structures. Although some endogenous opioids are known to be involved in the modulation of wound healing, it remains to be determined whether the β-neoendorphin (β-NEP), an endogenous opioid, has beneficial effects on wound repair in human keratinocyte. In this study, we found that β-NEP accelerated wound repair through activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)/Erk1/2 signaling pathways in human keratinocytes. Moreover, the wound healing effect of β-NEP is mainly through the acceleration of keratinocyte migration without affecting cell proliferation. (1) Background: A large and diverse microbial population exists in the human intestinal tract, which supports gut homeostasis and the health of the host. Short-chain fatty acid (SCFA)-secreting microbes also generate several metabolites with favorable regulatory effects on various malignancies and immunological inflammations. The involvement of intestinal SCFAs in kidney diseases, such as various kidney malignancies and inflammations, has emerged as a fascinating area of study in recent years. However, the mechanisms of SCFAs and other metabolites produced by SCFA-producing bacteria against kidney cancer and inflammation have not yet been investigated. (2) Methods: We considered 177 different SCFA-producing microbial species and 114 metabolites from the gutMgene database. Further, we used different online-based database platforms to predict 1890 gene targets associated with metabolites. Moreover, DisGeNET, OMIM, and Genecard databases were used to consider 13,104 disease-related gene targets. We used a Venn diagram and various protein−protein interactions (PPIs), KEGG pathways, and GO analyses for the functional analysis of gene targets. Moreover, the subnetwork of protein−protein interactions (through string and cytoscape platforms) was used to select the top 20% of gene targets through degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and closeness centrality. To screen the possible candidate compounds, we performed an analysis of the ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity) properties of metabolites and then found the best binding affinity using molecular docking simulation. (3) Results: Finally, we found the key gene targets that interact with suitable compounds and function against kidney cancer and inflammation, such as MTOR (with glycocholic acid), PIK3CA (with 11-methoxycurvularin, glycocholic acid, and isoquercitrin), IL6 (with isoquercitrin), PTGS2 (with isoquercitrin), and IGF1R (with 2-amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b] pyridine, isoquercitrin), showed a lower binding affinity. (4) Conclusions: This study provides evidence to support the positive effects of SCFA-producing microbial metabolites that function against kidney cancer and inflammation and makes integrative research proposals that may be used to guide future studies. The overexpressing ABCB1 transporter is one of the key factors leading to multidrug resistance (MDR). Thus, many ABCB1 inhibitors have been found to be able to overcome ABCB1-mediated MDR. However, some inhibitors also work as a substrate of ABCB1, which indicates that in order to achieve an effective reversal dosage, a higher concentration is needed to overcome the pumped function of ABCB1, which may concurrently increase the toxicity. WYE-354 is an effective and specific mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) inhibitor, which recently has been reported to reverse ABCB1-mediated MDR. In the current study, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was carried out to determine the cell viability and reversal effect of WYE-354 in parental and drug-resistant cells. Drug accumulation was performed to examine the effect of WYE-354 on the cellular accumulation of chemotherapeutic drugs. The ATPase (adenosine triphosphatase) activity of the ABCB1 transporter in the presence or absence of WYE-354 was conducted in order to determine the impact of WYE-354 on ATP hydrolysis. Western blot analysis and immunofluorescence assay were used to investigate the protein molecules related to MDR. In addition, the interaction between the WYE-354 and ABCB1 transporter was investigated via in silico analysis. We demonstrated that WYE-354 is a substrate of ABCB1, that the overexpression of the ABCB1 transporter decreases the efficacy of WYE-354, and that the resistant WYE-354 can be reversed by an ABCB1 inhibitor at a pharmacological achievable concentration. Furthermore, WYE-354 increased the intracellular accumulation of paclitaxel in the ABCB1-mediated MDR cell line, without affecting the corresponding parental cell line, which indicated that WYE-354 could compete with other chemotherapeutic drugs for the ABCB1 transporter substrate binding site. In addition, WYE-354 received a high score in the docking analysis, indicating a strong interaction between WYE-354 and the ABCB1 transporter. The results of the ATPase analysis showed that WYE-354 could stimulate ABCB1 ATPase activity. Treatment with WYE-354 did not affect the protein expression or subcellular localization of the ABCB1. Remote sensing (RS) provides operational monitoring of terrestrial vegetation. For optical RS, vegetation information is generally derived from surface reflectance (ρ). More generally, vegetation indices (VIs) are built on the basis of ρ as proxies for vegetation traits. At canopy level, ρ can be affected by a variety of factors, including leaf constituents, canopy structure, background reflectivity, and sun-sensor geometry. Consequently, VIs are mixtures of different information. In this study, a global sensitivity analysis (GSA) is made for several commonly used satellite-derived VIs in order to better understand the application of these VIs at large scales. The sensitivities of VIs to different parameters are analyzed on the basis of PROSPECT-SAIL (PROSAIL) radiative transfer model simulations, which apply for homogeneous canopies, and random forest (RF) learning. Specifically, combined factors such as canopy chlorophyll content (CCC) and canopy water content (CWC) are introduced in the RF-based GSA. We find that for most VIs, the leaf area index is the most influential factor, while the broad-band sensor-derived enhanced VI (EVI) exhibits a strong sensitivity to CCC, and the universal normalized VI (UNVI) is sensitive to CWC. The potential and uncertainty for the application of all the considered VIs are analyzed according to the GSA results. The results can help to improve the use of VIs in different contexts, and the RF-based GSA method can be further applied in more sophisticated situations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Environment perception is critical for feasible path planning and safe driving for autonomous vehicles. Perception devices, such as camera, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), etc., only provide raw sensing data with no identification of vital objects, which is insufficient for autonomous vehicles to perform safe and efficient self-driving operations. This study proposes an improved edge-oriented segmentation-based method to detect the objects from the sensed three-dimensional (3D) point cloud. The improved edge-oriented segmentation-based method consists of three main steps: First, the bounding areas of objects are identified by edge detection and stixel estimation in corresponding two-dimensional (2D) images taken by a stereo camera. Second, 3D sparse point clouds of objects are reconstructed in bounding areas. Finally, the dense point clouds of objects are segmented by matching the 3D sparse point clouds of objects with the whole scene point cloud. After comparison with the existing methods of segmentation, the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed edge-oriented segmentation method improves the precision of 3D point cloud segmentation, and that the objects can be segmented accurately. Meanwhile, the visualization of output data in advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) can be greatly facilitated due to the decrease in computational time and the decrease in the number of points in the object's point cloud. The connectedness and path connectedness of the solution sets to vector optimization problems is an important and interesting study in optimization theories and applications. Most papers involving the direction established the connectedness and connectedness for the solution sets of vector optimization problems or vector equilibrium problems by means of the linear scalarization method rather than the nonlinear scalarization method. The aim of the paper is to deal with the connectedness and the path connectedness for the weak efficient solution set to a vector optimization problem by using the nonlinear scalarization method. Firstly, the union relationship between the weak efficient solution set to the vector optimization problem and the solution sets to a series of parametric scalar minimization problems, is established. Then, some properties of the solution sets of scalar minimization problems are investigated. The increasing frequency of global drought events poses a significant threat to the stability of grassland ecosystems' functionality. The Inner Mongolian grasslands stand out as one of the world's most drought-prone regions, facing elevated drought risks compared to other biomes. An in-depth comprehension of the impact of drought on grassland ecosystems is paramount for their long-term sustainability. Using the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) from 1982 to 2018, this study identified various drought events within the Inner Mongolian grasslands, encompassing moderate drought, severe drought, and extreme drought. The resistance of the vegetation to the different drought conditions, assessed through net primary productivity (NPP) as a metric (reflecting its capacity to maintain its original level during drought periods), was examined. The research findings indicated that the period from 2001 to 2018 witnessed a substantial increase in both the frequency and the extent of drought events compared to the period from 1982 to 2000, particularly concerning severe and extreme droughts. The areas most severely impacted by extreme drought were the Xilingol League and the Alxa League. From 1982–2000 to 2001–2018, under moderate drought conditions, vegetation resistance exhibited a minor decrease in the central and eastern regions but experienced a slight increase in the western region. In contrast, under severe drought conditions, the western region saw a significant decrease in vegetation resistance. Remarkably, under extreme drought conditions, the western region showed a substantial increase in vegetation resistance, while the central and eastern regions experienced a slight decrease. Across all three drought conditions, as precipitation levels declined, the resistance of the meadow–steppe–desert ecosystems demonstrated a high–low–high distribution pattern. The temperate desert steppe exhibited a minimal vulnerability to drought, boasting resistance levels exceeding 0.9. Notably, extreme drought had the most pronounced impact on the temperate meadow steppe, temperate steppe, and temperate desert steppe, particularly within the temperate meadow steppe category. Given these findings, the authorities responsible for grassland management should prioritize regions characterized by frequent drought occurrences and low drought resistance, such as Ulanqab City, the Xilingol League, and the western part of Hulun Buir City. Safeguarding steppe ecosystems is of paramount importance for stabilizing vegetation productivity and land carbon sinks, especially under the anticipated exacerbation of climate conditions in the future. The ultrasonic guided wave technique is extensively used for nondestructive structural testing, and one of the key steps is to extract a single mode with certain purity from multi-order mixed modes. In this paper, the propagation of ultrasonic guided waves in the cylindrical rod is simulated first; the appropriate broadband excitation signal is selected to excite the multi-order modes in a specific frequency range; and the time–space signal containing multi-order modes is converted to the frequency-wavenumber domain signal by two-dimensional Fourier transform. In the frequency-wavenumber domain, the frequency-wavenumber ridge is extracted from the multi-mode frequency-wavenumber domain based on the dynamic programming method, and then the time-domain signal corresponding to a single mode can be reconstructed. By comparing the excited multi-order mode and the separated single mode with the theoretical results, it is observed that the two results are consistent. Thus, the employed mode-excitation method can accurately excite the multi-order modes in rod structures. Deinococcus radiodurans (D. radiodurans) can tolerate various extreme environments including radiation. Protein phosphorylation plays an important role in radiation resistance mechanisms; however, there is currently a lack of systematic research on this topic in D. radiodurans. Based on label-free (phospho)proteomics, we explored the dynamic changes of D. radiodurans under various doses of heavy ion irradiation and at different time points. In total, 2359 proteins and 1110 high-confidence phosphosites were identified, of which 66% and 23% showed significant changes, respectively, with the majority being upregulated. The upregulated proteins at different states (different doses or time points) were distinct, indicating that the radio-resistance mechanism is dose- and stage-dependent. The protein phosphorylation level has a much higher upregulation than protein abundance, suggesting phosphorylation is more sensitive to irradiation. There were four distinct dynamic changing patterns of phosphorylation, most of which were inconsistent with protein levels. Further analysis revealed that pathways related to RNA metabolism and antioxidation were activated after irradiation, indicating their importance in radiation response. We also screened some key hub phosphoproteins and radiation-responsive kinases for further study. Overall, this study provides a landscape of the radiation-induced dynamic change of protein expression and phosphorylation, which provides a basis for subsequent functional and applied studies. Single photon ionization (SPI) based on vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) lamps has been extensively investigated and applied due to its clean mass spectra as a soft ionization method. However, the photon energy of 10.6 eV and photon flux of 1011 photons s−1 of a commercial VUV lamp limits its range of ionizable analytes as well as its sensitivity. This work designs a chemical ionization focusing integrated (CIFI) ionization source time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOFMS) based on a VUV lamp for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and oxygenated volatile organic compounds (OVOCs). The photoelectrons obtained from the VUV lamp via the photoelectric effect ionized the oxygen and water in the air to obtain the reagent ions. The ion–molecule-reaction region (IMR) is constituted by a segmented quadrupole that radially focuses the ions using a radio-frequency electric field. This significantly enhances the yield and transport efficiency of the product ions leading to a great improvement in sensitivity. As a result, a 44-fold and 1154-fold increase in the signal response for benzene and pentanal were achieved, respectively. To verify the reliability of the ionization source, the linear correspondence and repeatability of benzene and pentanal were investigated. Satisfactory dynamic linearity was obtained in the mixing ratio range of 5–50 ppbv, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) of inter-day reached 3.91% and 6.26%, respectively. With the exploration of outer space, the number of space targets has increased dramatically, while the pressures of space situational awareness have also increased. Among them, spacecraft recognition is the foundation and a critical step in space situational awareness. However, unlike natural images that can be easily captured using low-cost devices, space targets can suffer from motion blurring, overexposure, and excessive dragging at the time of capture, which greatly affects the quality of the images and reduces the number of effective images. To this end, specialized or sufficiently versatile techniques are required, with dataset diversity playing a key role in enabling algorithms to categorize previously unseen spacecraft and perform multiple tasks. In this paper, we propose a joint dataset formulation to increase diversity. Our approach involves reformulating two local processes to condition the Conditional Neural Adaptive Processes, which results in global feature resampling schemes to adapt a pre-trained embedding function to be task-specific. Specifically, we employ variational resampling to category-wise auxiliary features, adding a generative constraint to amortize task-specific parameters. We also develop a neural process variational inference to encode representation, using grid density for conditioning. Our evaluation of the BUAA dataset shows promising results, with no-training performance close to a specifically designed learner and an accuracy rate of 98.2% on unseen categories during the joint training session. Further experiments on the Meta-dataset benchmark demonstrate at least a 4.6% out-of-distribution improvement compared to the baseline conditional models. Both dataset evaluations indicate the effectiveness of exploiting dataset diversity in few-shot feature adaptation. Our proposal offers a versatile solution for tasks across domains. Constructing a surface representation from the sparse point cloud of a satellite is an important task for satellite on-orbit services such as satellite docking and maintenance. In related studies on surface reconstruction from point clouds, implicit neural representations have gained popularity in learning-based 3D object reconstruction. When aiming for a satellite with a more complicated geometry and larger intra-class variance, existing implicit approaches cannot perform well. To solve the above contradictions and make effective use of implicit neural representations, we built a NASA3D dataset containing point clouds, watertight meshes, occupancy values, and corresponding points by using the 3D models on NASA's official website. On the basis of NASA3D, we propose a novel network called GONet for a more detailed reconstruction of satellite grids. By designing an explicit-related implicit neural representation of the Grid Occupancy Field (GOF) and introducing it into GONet, we compensate for the lack of explicit supervision in existing point cloud surface reconstruction approaches. The GOF, together with the occupancy field (OF), serves as the supervised information for neural network learning. Learning the GOF strengthens GONet's attention to the critical points of the surface extraction algorithm Marching Cubes; thus, it helps improve the reconstructed surface's accuracy. In addition, GONet uses the same encoder and decoder as ConvONet but designs a novel Adaptive Feature Aggregation (AFA) module to achieve an adaptive fusion of planar and volume features. The insertion of AFA allows for the obtained implicit features to incorporate more geometric and volumetric information. Both visualization and quantitative experimental results demonstrate that our GONet could handle 3D satellite reconstruction work and outperform existing state-of-the-art methods by a significant margin. With a watertight mesh, our GONet achieves 5.507 CD-L1, 0.8821 F-score, and 68.86% IoU, which is equal to gains of 1.377, 0.0466, and 3.59% over the previous methods using NASA3D, respectively. The stability of the casing is a crucial prerequisite for implementing the in situ high-temperature steam injection method in oil shale reservoirs. In order to address the issues of substantial expansion, concentrated thermal stresses, and susceptibility to damage observed in traditional straight casings under high temperatures, this paper proposes the utilization of a corrugated casing structure. In this regard, to investigate the impact of the shape and structure of the wellbore casing on its mechanical properties, identical corrugated and straight casings were selected and studied. Uniaxial compression and tensile tests were conducted on the casings, along with coordination deformation experiments between the casing and cement sheath under varying temperatures. Numerical simulations were employed to obtain the deformation characteristics of the corrugated and straight casings under axial compression and tension loads, as well as the stress distribution on the outer casing wall. The results showed that when subjected to the same amount of deformation under axial loading, the corrugated casing experienced lower compressive and tensile loads compared to the straight casing. Moreover, under the sole constraint of cement sheath, increasing the temperature led to lower vertical strains (perpendicular to the ground) at all measuring points of the corrugated casing as compared to the corresponding strains in the straight casing. Numerical simulations revealed that, under the same temperatures, the deformation at the interface between the corrugated casing and the cement sheath was smaller, while the vertical stress at the interface of the corrugated casing was also lower than the straight casing. Overall, the corrugated casing, with its corrugated structure that enabled micro-deformation, effectively mitigated the axial deformation of the casing caused by thermal expansion. Consequently, the corrugated casing reduced the extrusion of wellbore casing on the cement sheath, thereby preserving the integrity and stability of the wellbore cementing structure. Art and science represent human creativity and rational thinking, respectively. When the two seemingly opposite fields are intertwined, there is always a life-changing spark. In particular, the integration of ancient traditional Chinese art into the latest electronic devices is always been an unexcavated topic. Fabricating two-dimensional material with a tensile strain less than 3% with an ultimate global stretch has been an important problem that plagues the current flexible electronics field. The current research is limited to material in small scale, and it is always necessary to develop and extend large-sized flexible electronic systems. Here, inspired by the traditional Chinese paper-cut structure, we present a highly deformable multifunctional electronic system based on the MoS2 nanosheet. In this work, we first demonstrate how the traditional paper-cut structure can open the view of flexible electronics. In order to obtain a large area of MoS2 with excellent performance, we use a metal-assisted exfoliation method to transfer MoS2, followed by fabricating a field effect transistor to characterize its excellent electrical properties. Two photodetectors and a temperature sensor are produced with good performance. The mechanical simulation proves that the structure has more advantages in stretchability than other typical paper-cut structures. From the experimental and mechanical point of view, it is proved that the device can work stably under high deformation. We finally show that the device has broad application prospects in highly deformed organs, tissues, and joints. Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is a rapidly growing three-dimensional (3D) printing technology and has great potential in medicine. Polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) is a biocompatible high-performance polymer, which is suitable to be used as an orthopedic/dental implant material. However, the mechanical properties and biocompatibility of FDM-printed PEEK and its composites are still not clear. In this study, FDM-printed pure PEEK and carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (CFR-PEEK) composite were successfully fabricated by FDM and characterized by mechanical tests. Moreover, the sample surfaces were modified with polishing and sandblasting methods to analyze the influence of surface roughness and topography on general biocompatibility (cytotoxicity) and cell adhesion. The results indicated that the printed CFR-PEEK samples had significantly higher general mechanical strengths than the printed pure PEEK (even though there was no statistical difference in compressive strength). Both PEEK and CFR-PEEK materials showed good biocompatibility with and without surface modification. Cell densities on the "as-printed" PEEK and the CFR-PEEK sample surfaces were significantly higher than on the corresponding polished and sandblasted samples. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) tendons are generally used as prestressing members to take full advantage of their high strength. Their creep property is one of the key factors influencing the reliability and safety of the structures, especially under sustained high stress. In this study, using a new wedge-type anchorage system, experimental research was carried out on the creep behavior of CFRP tendons under high stress levels from 0.69 to 0.85 fu. All the tests lasted for a duration of 1000 h. It was found that the creep coefficient tends to increase with the stress level. Compared to their static properties, the residual strength of CFRP tendons after creep tests is 4.54% lower while the after-creep elastic modulus is 6.99% higher. Through data analysis, a semi-logarithm linear relationship between the creep coefficient and time was established, and the creep coefficients at 1 million hours were extrapolated. The mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a multi-hop, non-central network composed of mobile terminals with self-organizing features. Aiming at the problem of extra energy consumption caused by node motion in MANETs, this paper proposes an improved energy and mobility ant colony optimization (IEMACO) routing algorithm. Firstly, the algorithm accelerates the convergence speed of the routing algorithm and reduces the number of route discovery packets by introducing an offset coefficient of the transition probability. Then, based on the energy consumption rate, the remaining lifetime of nodes (RLTn) is considered. The position and velocity information predicts the remaining lifetime of the link (RLTl). The algorithm combines RLTn and RLTl to design the pheromone generation method, which selects the better quality path according to the transition probability to ensure continuous data transmission. As a result, the energy consumption in the network is balanced. The simulation results show that compared to the Ad Hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) algorithm with multipath routing and the Ant Hoc Max-Min-Path (AntHocMMP) algorithm in consideration of node energy consumption and mobility, the IEMACO algorithm can reduce the frequency of route discovery and has lower end-to-end delay as well as packet loss rate especially when nodes move, and can extend the network lifetime. The efficiency of oil shale pyrolysis is directly related to the feasibility of in-situ mining technology. Taiyuan University of Technology (China) proposed the technology of in-situ convective heating of oil shale, which uses superheated steam as the heat carrier to heat the oil shale's ore-body and transport the pyrolysis products. Based on the simulated experiments of in-situ oil shale pyrolysis using superheated steam, the changes in fracture characteristics, pyrolysis characteristics and mesoscopic characteristics of the oil shale during the pyrolysis have been systematically studied in this work. The Xinjiang oil shale's pyrolysis temperature ranged within 400–510 °C. When the temperature is 447 °C, the rate of pyrolysis of kerogen is the fastest. During the pyrolysis process, the pressure of superheated steam changes within the range of 0.1–11.1 MPa. With the continuous thermal decomposition, the horizontal stress difference shows a tendency to first increase and then, decrease. The rate of weight loss of oil shale residue at various locations after the pyrolysis is found to be within the range of 0.17–2.31%, which is much lower than the original value of 10.8%, indicating that the pyrolysis is more adequate. Finally, the number of microcracks (<50 µm) in the oil shale after pyrolysis is found to be lie within the range of 25–56 and the average length lies within the range of 53.9636–62.3816 µm. The connectivity of the internal pore groups is satisfactory, while the seepage channel is found to be smooth. These results fully reflect the high efficiency and feasibility of in-situ oil shale pyrolysis using superheated steam. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To mitigate the frequent link breakage and node death caused by node mobility and energy constraints in mobile ad-hoc networks, we propose an energy-balanced routing algorithm for energy and mobility greedy perimeter stateless routing (EM-GPSR) based on geographical location. In the proposed algorithm, the forward region is divided into four sub-regions. Then, according to the remaining lifetime of each node and the distance between the source node and the destination node, we select the next-hop node in the candidate sub-regions. Since the energy consumption rate of the node is taken into account, the next-hop selection favors the nodes with longer remaining lifetimes. Simulation results show that compared with conventional greedy perimeter stateless routing (GPSR) and speed up-greedy perimeter stateless routing (SU-GPSR) routing algorithms, the proposed algorithm can lead to a lower end-to-end delay, longer service time, and higher transmission efficiency for the network. Coastal ship tracking is used in many applications, such as autonomous navigation, maritime rescue, and environmental monitoring. Many general object-tracking methods based on deep learning have been explored for ship tracking, but they often fail to accurately track ships in challenging scenarios, such as occlusion, scale variation, and motion blur. We propose a memory-guided perception network (MGPN) to address these issues. MGPN has two main innovative improvements. The dynamic memory mechanism (DMM) in the proposed method stores past features of the tracked target to enhance the model's feature fusion capability in the temporal dimension. Meanwhile, the hierarchical context-aware module (HCAM) enables the interaction of different scales, global and local information, to address the scale discrepancy of targets and improve the feature fusion capability in the spatial dimension. These innovations enhance the robustness of tracking and reduce inaccuracies in the bounding boxes. We conducted an in-depth ablation study to demonstrate the effectiveness of DMM and HCAM. Finally, influenced by the above two points, MGPN has achieved state-of-the-art performance on a large offshore ship tracking dataset, which contains challenging scenarios such as complex backgrounds, ship occlusion, and varying scales. Simple Summary: Tetrabromobisphenol A has been used extensively in fire-resistant materials in recent decades, and scientists have extensively investigated its toxic effects on organisms and humans. The present study aims to investigate the distribution characteristic of tetrabromobisphenol A in three mangrove swamps; analyze the associated microbial community structure involved in the tetrabromobisphenol A degradation; and explore the relationships between the microbial community and environmental factors. The results indicated mangrove sediments from the Zhangjiang Estuary, Jiulongjiang Estuary, and Quanzhou Bay in Southeast China contained high levels of tetrabromobisphenol A. Correlation analysis revealed that total organic carbon plays a critical impact on tetrabromobisphenol A distribution in the mangrove sediments. The microbial community structures of the three mangrove sediments were similar, while the taxonomic profile of their sensitive responders differed markedly. The genus Anaerolinea was dominant in the mangrove sediment and may be responsible for the in situ dissipation of tetrabromobisphenol A. Redundancy analysis indicates that combining tetrabromobisphenol A, total nitrogen, and total organic carbon would induce a shift in the microbial community structure of mangrove sediments. This work provided insight into the endogenous microbial community diversity of different mangrove sediments which may be one of the factors contributing to the different tetrabromobisphenol A concentrations. The occurrence and distribution characteristics of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) and its relationship with microbial community diversity in different mangrove sediments need further investigation. The results of this study indicated levels of TBBPA in mangrove sediments from the Zhangjiang Estuary (ZJ), Jiulongjiang Estuary (JLJ), and Quanzhou Bay (QZ) in Southeast China ranging from 1.80 to 20.46, 3.47 to 40.77, and 2.37 to 19.83 ng/g dry weight (dw), respectively. Mangrove sediments from JLJ contained higher levels of TBBPA, possibly due to agricultural pollution. A correlation analysis revealed a significant correlation between total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), and TBBPA distribution in ZJ and JLJ mangrove sediments, but not in QZ mangrove sediments. TOC significantly affected the distribution of TBBPA in mangrove sediments, but pH had no effect. High-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that Pseudomonadota dominated the sediment bacteria followed by Chloroflexota, Actinobacteota, Bacillota, Acidobacteriota, Bacteroidota, and Aminicenantes in mangrove sediments. Although the microbial community structure of the ZJ, JLJ, and QZ mangrove sediments was similar, the taxonomic profile of their sensitive responders differed markedly. The genus Anaerolinea was dominant in the mangrove sediments and was responsible for the in situ dissipation of TBBPA. Based on redundancy analysis, there was a correlation between TBBPA, TOC, TN, C/N, pH, and microbial community structure at the genus level.
