Several substituted thiazolo-[3,2-b]-1,2,4-triazole derivatives 4 were synthesized by a one-pot, three-component reaction of 3-(4-methylthiobenzyl)-1,2,4-triazole-5-thiol 3, substituted 5-aryl-furan-2-carboxaldehydes/substituted aromatic aldehydes, and monochloroacetic acid in acetic acid using acetic anhydride and anhydrous sodium acetate. Compound 3 was obtained from 4-methylthiophenyl acetic acid by esterification followed by hydrazinolysis. All structures of the newly synthesized compounds were elucidated by elemental analysis and spectral data. The newly synthesized compounds were also screened for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities. Supplemental materials are available for this article. A series of 7-substituted-3-t-butyl 4(H)-1,3,4-thiadiazolo(2,3-c)-1,2,4-triazine-4-one (3) have been synthesized by condensing 4-amino-6-t-butyl-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one (1) with substituted Arylfuroic acids (2) using POCl3 as a cyclizing agent. The newly synthesized compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectral studies. The compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Novel 4-(2-chloropyridin-4-yl)-N-aryl-1,3-thiazol-2-amines have been prepared by reacting (4-bromoacetyl)-2-chloropyridine with thiourea and substituted thioureas. The newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by analytical and spectral data. All the compounds have been screened for their antifungal and antibacterial activities. New 4-/5-/6-/7-nitro-N′-(4-aryl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-1H-indole-2-carbohydrazides (4a–t) were prepared by treating respective nitroindole thiosemicarbazide with aromatic acylbromides. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by analytical and spectral data. The compounds were also screened for antifungal and antibacterial activity. Some new 4-{2-[(aryl) amino]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl}benzene-1,2-diols are prepared and characterized by spectral analysis. The newly prepared compounds are studied for their antibacterial and antifungal activity.
