Background: Previous clinical trials indicated the addition of anti‐PD‐1 antibody remarkably improved the efficacy of trastuzumab and chemotherapy in patients with HER2‐positive gastric/gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer. However, no real‐world experiences have been reported yet. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 1212 patients with gastric/GEJ cancer treated at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital between 2019 and 2022. Among 138 patients with HER2‐positive gastric/GEJ cancer, 47 patients receiving at least two doses of the combination regimen with anti‐PD‐1 antibody, trastuzumab, and chemotherapy were recruited in the study population, and 38 out of 47 patients with measurable disease were included in the efficacy population. Progression‐free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and toxicity profiles were reported. Results: In the study population, 37 (78.7%) received the study therapy as a first‐line treatment. In the efficacy population, the ORR and DCR were 76.3% and 94.7%, respectively. The overall median PFS was 9.1 months (95% confidence interval [CI] 6.3–11.9 months). For the first‐line treatment, the mPFS was 10 months, and 7 months for the second‐line. Among 14 patients who failed the study treatment, three (21.4%) developed brain metastasis as the first failure site. No significant association was found between PFS and the expression of PD‐L1. 22.2% of patients developed grade 3 treatment‐related adverse events (TRAEs). No treatment‐related grade ≥4 adverse events or deaths occurred. Conclusion: This real‐world study validated the combination regimen's high efficacy and good tolerance in patients with HER2‐positive gastric/GEJ cancer. Objective: To evaluate the effects of early ambulation on elderly patients' postoperative physical functional outcomes, complications, 90‐day readmission rate, and the length of postoperative hospital stay. Methods: This is a prospective cohort study conducted between June 2019 and December 2019. The study enrolled 86 elderly patients (39 males) with newly diagnosed lumbar degenerative disease undergoing single‐segment decompression and fusion surgerywere enrolled. Of all 86 patients, 39 voluntarily joined the early ambulation group, and 47 joined the regular ambulation group. The early ambulation group included patients ambulated within 4 h postoperatively, whereas the regular ambulation group included patients who were ambulatory at a minimum of 24 h after surgery. Participants' baseline characteristics, surgical information, ambulation ability, degree of pain, functional scores, postoperative complications, 90‐day readmission rate, and length of postoperative hospital stay were recorded. Results: Participants' baseline demographic characteristics were balanced between the early ambulation group and the regular ambulation group. The operative time and blood loss were similar between groups. The time before the first‐time ambulation was 4 ± 0.5 h in the early ambulation group and 28 ± 4.5 h in the regular ambulation group. Ambulating distance was significantly longer in the early ambulation group compared with the regular ambulation group on the 1st (63 ± 45 vs 23 ± 60 m), the 2nd (224 ± 100 vs 101 ± 130 m), and the 3rd (280 ± 102.5 vs 190 ± 170 m) ambulation days based on generalized estimating equation analyses. Generalized estimating equation analyses also demonstrated that the ambulating time was longer in the early ambulation group compared with the regular ambulation group on the 1st (10 ± 5 vs 10 ± 5 min), the 2nd (19 ± 7 vs 15 ± 5 min), and the 3rd (22 ± 16.5 vs 27 ± 12 min) ambulation days. Patients in the regular ambulation group experienced a higher degree of pain than the early ambulation group patients, with an odds ratio of 1.627 (P = 0.002). Short‐term functional independence was superior in the early ambulation group, with a lower Roland–Morris disability questionnaire score (P = 0.008) and Oswestry disability index (P < 0.001). The incidences of postoperative urinary retention (early ambulation group: 7.7%, regular ambulation group: 25.5%, P = 0.030) and ileus (early ambulation group: 0%, regular ambulation group: 12.8%, P = 0.030) were significantly higher in the regular ambulation group. The prevalence of at least one complication rate was significantly lower in the early ambulation group than in the regular ambulation group (early ambulation group, 23.1%; regular ambulation group, 46.8%, P = 0.022). The duration of indwelling of the drainage catheter was shorter in the early ambulation group (early ambulation group, 68 ± 24 h; regular ambulation group, 78 ± 20 h, P = 0.001), and the length of the postoperative hospital stay was also shorter in the early ambulation group (early ambulation group, 4 ± 0 days; regular ambulation group: 5 ± 2 days, P < 0.001). However, there was no statistical difference in the 90‐day readmission rate between groups. Conclusion: Early ambulation improved patients' postoperative functional status, decreased the incidence of complications, and shortened postoperative hospital stay in elderly patients undergoing lumbar decompression and fusion surgery. In this study, we synthesized and characterized a new Co(II)‐based coordination polymer, denoted as {[Co(HL)(dpa)]·H2O}n (1), derived from the H3L ligand and dpa co‐ligand. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction revealed that 1 forms a two‐dimensional (2D) layer and a three‐dimensional (3D) supramolecular structure via hydrogen bonding interactions. Presence of carboxylic acid groups in 1 was confirmed by X‐ray crystallography, prompting investigation into its proton transport properties. Additionally, electrostatic potential surface and nucleophilic index analyses were conducted to simulate potential proton transfer pathways. Furthermore, we prepared nine modified encapsulated materials using 1 as the base material (SDA@1, APH@1, APY@1, TA@1, BA@1, DIC@1, IDZ@1, SCA@1, and TYD@1), and tested their proton conductivity and activation energy compared to pure Nafion membrane and 1, analyzing the influence of different small molecule structures on proton conductivity. Comparative analysis revealed that only SDA@1 exhibited enhanced proton conductivity and reduced activation energy at 303 K, with an improvement rate of 220.8%. We hope that the methods presented herein can provide valuable insights for the design and development of high‐performance proton‐conducting materials, as well as for the exploration of proton conduction mechanisms. Background: Large‐scale observational studies have summarized transfusion practice using traditional measures of central tendency (e.g., the mean hemoglobin concentration at the time of transfusion). However, the mean hemoglobin concentration fails to identify specific hemoglobin concentration thresholds that drive practice. In the following brief report, we propose a novel measure of "practice discontinuity" that identifies specific practice‐defining hemoglobin thresholds. Study Design and Methods: We used the PINC AI Database (2016–2022) to identify adult patients admitted to an intensive care unit with at least one hemoglobin concentration measurement. For each day that hemoglobin was measured, we identified whether the patient received a red blood cell transfusion using hospital charge codes. We defined the "practice discontinuity" measure as the hemoglobin concentration at which there was the largest increase in transfusion use going from a higher to an incrementally lower hemoglobin concentration. We also calculated the mean and median pretransfusion hemoglobin concentrations. Results: We identified 1,298,367 patients and 4,905,839 patient‐days for inclusion. RBC transfusion occurred in a total of 530,654 (10.8%) patient‐days. The overall pre‐transfusion mean and median hemoglobin concentrations were 8.4 and 8.0 g/dL, respectively. The practice discontinuity measure identified 7.0 g/dL as the hemoglobin concentration at which transfusion use increased the most, from 46.6% of patient‐days at a concentration of 7.0 g/dL to 74.8% of patient‐days at a concentration of 6.9 g/dL. Discussion: We propose that future studies of red blood cell transfusion practice consider inclusion of the practice discontinuity measure to more fully summarize clinical practice. Objective: To compare the incidence and risk factors of superior facet joint violation (FJV) during cortical bone trajectory screw placement in robot‐assisted approach versus conventional technique. Methods: A retrospective study, including 69 patients having cortical bone trajectory (CBT) screw instrumentation for symptomatic degenerated diseases or trauma, was conducted between June 2015 to January 2019. All patients underwent CBT surgery performed by the same team of experienced surgeons. Patients were randomly divided into two groups: a conventional group (CG, 46 cases) and a robot group (RG, 23 cases). The surgical robotic system was used for screw instrumentation in the robot group and the traditional screw instrumentation with fluoroscopic guidance was used in the conventional group. Cortical screws followed a medio‐to‐lateral path in the transverse plane and a caudal‐to‐cephalad path in the sagittal plane. Preoperative and postoperative computed tomography (CT) scans were obtained to determine the degree and incidence of FJV. The violation status of facet joint was evaluated according to the modified classification: grade 0, no violation; grade 1, screw shaft, screw head or rod within 1 mm of or abutting the facet joint, but did not enter the articular facet joint; grade 2, screw shaft, screw head or rod clearly in the facet joint. The following factors that may contribute to the occurrence of FJV were analyzed: age, sex, body mass index (BMI), proximal fusion level, fusion length, the side of screw, preoperative vertebral slip, superior facet angle, and degenerative scoliosis. The chi‐squared test and Student's t‐test were used for analysis of the variables for significance (P < 0.05). Results: FJV occurred in 41.3% of patients in CG and 17.3% of patients in RG. A chi‐squared analysis revealed a significantly lower rate of FJV for RG compared with CG (P = 0.04). In the CG, 17 of the 109 cephalad screws were grade 1 (15.6%), and five were grade 2 (4.6%). In the RG, three of the 46 cephalad screws were grade 1 (6.5%), and three were grade 2 (6.5%). There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of FJV between the left and right screw with fluoroscopy‐assisted CBT screw instrumentation (P < 0.05). A significant correlation between scoliosis with the FJV was found in CG (P < 0.05) and in RG (P < 0.05). With regard to superior facet angle, a measurement ≥45° was a significant risk factor of FJV in CG (P < 0.05) and in RG (P < 0.05). Virtual oscillator control (VOC) is an emerging non‐linear technique to control the terminal voltage of inverters in ac micro‐grids. This study compares two small‐signal models of VOC, obtained from average VOC dynamics over one ac cycle. The first model from previous literature is based on the approximation of real and reactive power in the average dynamics by the corresponding instantaneous values of power. The second model proposed in this study, in contrast to the first, approximates the average power by filtered power from a second‐order low‐pass filter. The two models are evaluated by eigenvalue and participation analyses. Simulations and experimental results are used to verify the models, by observing transient responses of a three‐phase inverter subject to a step change in the load. The proposed linearised model can tracks transients of the output voltage and current more accurately than the existing technique both in the simulations and experimental tests. The proposed linearised VOC model enables a more precise small‐signal stability and transient analysis of the average VOC dynamics. In conclusion, this improvement benefits stability studies when system parameters are changed or load disturbances are added to virtual oscillator‐controlled inverter‐based micro‐grids. BACKGROUND The present study investigated the effects of dietary supplementation of l-arginine and chromium picolinate ( CrP) in sows during gestation on muscle fibre characteristics, performance and carcass characteristics of their progeny. Sixty healthy sows were randomly divided into four groups as a 2 × 2 factorial experiment design: one group received the control diet, another received the control diet + 10 g kg−1 l-arginine, the third group received the control diet + 400 ppb CrP, and the fourth group received the control diet + 10 g kg−1 l-arginine and 400 ppb CrP. RESULTS The results showed that sows fed the diet supplemented with CrP produced progeny with higher muscle fibre numbers at birth, weaning and slaughter compared to sows fed the control diet. For mean fibre areas, the same result was found at weaning. For progeny of sows fed diets supplemented with l-arginine, only higher muscle fibre numbers at slaughter was observed. Almost no differences were observed regarding average daily gains, average daily feed intake, gain-to-feed ratios, carcass and meat traits. CONCLUSION The results of the present study indicate that dietary supplementation of l-arginine and particularly CrP in sows during gestation alters muscle fibre numbers in their offspring, although not their performance or carcass characteristics. © 2017 Society of Chemical Industry [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The multiple linear model is used successfully to extend the linear model to nonlinear problems. However, the conventional multilinear models fail to learn the global structure of a training data set because the local linear models are independent of each other. Furthermore, the local linear transformations are learned in the original space. Therefore, the performance of multilinear methods is strongly dependent on the results of partition. This paper presents a kernel approach for the implementation of the local linear discriminant analysis for face recognition problems. In the original space, we utilize a set of local linear transformations with interpolation to approximate an optimal global nonlinear transformation. Based on the local linear models in the original space, we derive an explicit kernel mapping to map the training data into a high-dimensional transformed space. The optimal transformation is learned globally in the transformed space. Experimental results show that the proposed method is more robust to the partition results than the conventional multilinear methods. Compared with the general nonlinear kernels that utilize a black-box mapping, our proposed method can reduce the negative effects caused by the potential overfitting problem. © 2016 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Glycogen synthase kinase (GSK)-3β, a serine/threonine kinase with an inhibitory role in glycogen synthesis in hepatocytes and skeletal muscle, is also expressed in cardiac and smooth muscles. Inhibition of GSK-3β results in cardiac hypertrophy through reducing phosphorylation and increasing transcriptional activity of myocardin, a transcriptional co-activator for serum response factor. Myocardin plays critical roles in differentiation of smooth muscle cells (SMCs). This study, therefore, aimed to examine whether and how inhibition of GSK-3β regulates myocardin activity in human vascular SMCs. Treatment of SMCs with the GSK-3β inhibitors AR-A014418 and TWS 119 significantly reduced endogenous myocardin activity, as indicated by lower expression of myocardin target genes (and gene products), CNN1 (calponin), TAGLN1 (SM22), and ACTA2 (SM α-actin). In human SMCs overexpressing myocardin through the T-REx system, treatment with either GSK-3β inhibitor also inhibited the expression of CNN1, TAGLN1, and ACTA2. These effects of GSK-3β inhibitors were mimicked by transfection with GSK-3β siRNA. Notably, both AR-A014418 and TWS 119 decreased the serine/threonine phosphorylation of myocardin. The chromatin immunoprecipitation assay showed that AR-A014418 treatment reduced myocardin occupancy of the promoter of the myocardin target gene ACTA2. Overexpression of a dominant-negative GSK-3β mutant in myocardin-overexpressing SMCs reduced the expression of calponin, SM22, and SM α-actin. As expected, overexpression of constitutively active or wild-type GSK-3β in SMCs without myocardin overexpression increased expression of these proteins. In summary, our results indicate that inhibition of GSK-3β reduces myocardin transcriptional activity, suggesting a role for GSK-3β in myocardin transcriptional activity and smooth muscle differentiation. The G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) has been implicated in the regulation of smooth muscle cell (SMC) proliferation. The GPER selective agonist G-1 has been a useful tool for exploring the biological roles of GPER in a variety of experimental settings, including SMC proliferation. The present study, originally designed to investigate cellular and signaling mechanisms underlying the regulatory role of GPER in vascular SMC proliferation using G-1, unexpectedly revealed off-target effects of G-1. G-1(1-10 μM) inhibited bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) incorporation of human SMCs and caused G2/M cell accumulation. G-1 treatment also increased mitotic index concurrent with a decrease in phosphorylation of Cdk1 (Tyr 15) and an increase in phosphorylation of the mitotic checkpoint protein BuBR1. Furthermore, G-1 caused microtubule disruption, mitotic spindle damage, and tubulin depolymerization. G-1 induced cell apoptosis as indicated by the appearance of TUNEL-positive and annexin V-positive cells with enhanced cleavage of caspases 3 and 9. However, neither the GPER antagonist G-15 nor the MAPK kinase inhibitor PD98059 prevented these G-1 effects. Down-regulation of GPER or p44/42 MAPK with siRNA transfection also did not affect the G-1-induced apoptosis. We conclude that G-1 inhibits proliferation of SMCs through mechanisms involving mitotic arrest and apoptosis, independent of GPER and the MAPK pathway. J. Cell. The investigation of multifunctional bright materials is a popular research topic. The first report of the Bi3+, Tb3+, and Eu3+ triple‐doped garnet‐derived structure Lu2Mg2Al2Si2O12 phosphor is presented in this study. The energy transfer system was constructed with unique ultraviolet (UV) emission of Bi3+ ions, which allows phosphor to be used for temperature sensing with self‐calibration capability, Sa = 0.26% (148 K) and 0.56% (98 K), Sr = 0.15% (98 K), and 0.21% (148 K), indicating a high sensitivity in the low‐temperature region. Tb3+ and Eu3+ ions with better thermal stability under 325 nm excitation were chosen to achieve higher pressure sensing performance, the sensitivity was calculated by fluorescence intensity ratio technique and has maximum sensitivities of up to 0.1887 (SPa) and 0.1621 G/Pa (SPr). This provides a new idea for the ensuing design of brand‐new phosphors for optical pressure sensing. This study provides a new perspective on the versatile applications of phosphors. The flexural behavior of beams strengthened with GFRP bars and high‐performance fiber‐reinforced concrete (HPFRC) was investigated in this paper. The four‐point flexural response of one reference beam and four beams strengthened with high‐performance fiber‐reinforced concrete was investigated by experimental research and theoretical calculation. The experimental and theoretical data (strain, load, etc.) are discussed. Parameters varied included the strengthening scheme (bottom‐side strengthening and three‐side strengthening) and the type of high‐performance fiber‐reinforced concrete (engineered cementitious composite [ECC] and ultra‐high‐performance concrete [UHPC]). The results showed that the cracking load and ultimate load of beams strengthened with UPFRC material were 31.3%–170% and 9.6%–20.7% higher, respectively, relative to the reference beam. Beams with three‐side strengthening (without interfacial debonding) had higher ultimate load, smaller crack width, and better durability relative to beams with bottom‐side strengthening. The UHPC layer was more effective in increasing the ultimate bearing capacity, and ECC strengthening layer was more effective in inhibiting cracking development of beams. Based on the experimental results, a model was proposed to predict the ultimate bearing capacity of beams strengthened with high‐performance fiber‐reinforced concrete, which could provide good agreement between the experimental and predicted results. Objective: To analyze perioperative complications, resource consumption, and inpatient mortality of patients who receive total joint arthroplasty (TJA) with a concomitant diagnosis of a primary hypercoagulable state (PHS). The following questions were posed in the present paper. First, do patients undergoing TJA with PHS have increased risk of deep venous thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and periprosthetic joint infection (PJI)? Second, what other in‐hospital complications are more likely among PHS patients undergoing TJA? Third, do TJA patients with PHS usually consume greater in‐hospital resources? Fourth, do PHS patients suffer higher mortality rates compared to non‐PHS patients? Finally, have PHS patients received proper anticoagulant management in past arthroplasties? Methods: The National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database for the years between 2003 and 2014 was searched to identify patients undergoing primary TJA. Patients with PHS were identified with the ICD‐9‐CM code 289.81. The χ2‐test, the Pearson test, and adjusted multivariate regression analysis were performed to evaluate the difference and odds ratios between the positive and negative diagnosis groups. Results: From 2003 to 2014, a total of 2,044,356 patients were identified in the NIS as undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) or total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in the United States. A total of 4664 patients (0.2%) were identified as having PHS. Compared with the non‐PHS group, TJA patients with PHS had a higher risk of DVT (THA: odds ratio [OR] = 8.343, 95% CI: 5.362–12.982, P < 0.001; TKA: OR = 4.712, 95% CI: 3.560–6.238, P < 0.001) but did not have increased risk of PE (THA: OR = 1.306, 95% CI: 0.48–3.555, P = 0.602; TKA: OR = 1.143, 95% CI: 0.687–1.903), and only PHS patients in the THA group had higher risks of inpatient mortality (OR = 3.184, 95% CI: 1.348–7.522, P = 0.008) and periprosthetic joint infection (OR = 3.343, 95% CI: 1.084–10.879, P = 0.036). In addition, PHS patients had extended length of stay, higher total costs, and increased risks of certain other complications, such as peripheral vascular disease, hemorrhage, and thrombophlebitis. Conclusion: In the present study, PHS patients had higher risks of DVT, greater in‐hospital resource consumption, and certain other perioperative complications. However, PHS was not associated with increased risk of PE in TJA patients in the United States between 2003 and 2014. While potential hazards of PHS have already been recognized, the present study revealed additional concerns and demonstrated that further improvements in the perioperative management of patients with hereditary hypercoagulable disorders are essential. It presents a technique of treating ankle fractures with Open Reduction Internal Fixation via Improved Posterolateral Incision which was employed to treat her. The study confirms her functional recovery as satisfactory based on postoperative radiography and CT. Summary: In this paper, the H∞ tracking control of linear discrete‐time systems is studied via reinforcement learning. By defining an improved value function, the tracking game algebraic Riccati equation with a discount factor is obtained, which is solved by iteration learning algorithms. In particular, Q‐learning based on value iteration is presented for H∞ tracking control, which does not require the system model information and the initial allowable control policy. In addition, to improve the practicability of algorithm, the convergence analysis of proposed algorithm with a discount factor is given. Her physical examination revealed the affected leg was shortened by two centimeters and unnaturally rotated. The authors investigate the problem of two-dimensional (2D) direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of multiple signals for coprime planar arrays (CPAs) in this study and they propose a computationally efficient 1D partial spectral search approach based on multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. The conventional 2D MUSIC algorithm for CPAs has a great DOA estimation performance, but suffers from a tremendously expensive computational complexity due to the 2D spectral search. To this end, the proposed approach first decreases the dimension of the spectrum function to one dimension and then utilises the linear relationship between the true and ambiguous DOA estimates to form a 1D partial spectral search over a small sector. Finally, the true DOA estimates can be achieved based on the coprime property. The proposed approach can have an impressively good DOA estimation performance, but with a low computational cost. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) has been reported to induce the expression of monocyte chemotactic protein-induced protein 1 (MCPIP1), which undergoes ubiquitination degradation. Therefore, we predict that in vascular smooth muscle (VSMCs), MCPIP1 may be induced by MCP-1 and undergo degradation, which can be inhibited by the proteasome inhibitor, MG132. Our results showed that treatment of human VSMCs with MCP-1 did not increase the expression of MCPIP1. Treatment with MG132, however, elevated MCPIP1 protein levels through stimulation of the gene transcription, but not through increasing protein stability. MCPIP1 expression induced by MG132 was inhibited by α-amanitin inhibition of gene transcription or cycloheximide inhibition of protein synthesis. Our further studies showed that MCPIP1 expression induced by MG132 was inhibited by the inhibitors of AKT and p38 kinase, suggesting a role of the AKT-p38 pathway in MG132 effects. We also found that treatment with MG132 induces apoptosis, but overexpression of MCPIP1 inhibited bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) incorporation of human VSMCs without induction of significant apoptosis. Two new complexes based on 4,4′‐[1,3‐phenylenebis(oxy)]diphthalic acid (H4L) ligands were synthesized, namely, [Cd2(L)(1,10‐phen)2(H2O)]n(1) and [Co2(L)(1,10‐phen)2(H2O)]n(2), in which 2D structures transform into 3D supramolecular structures by CH···π interaction. The proton conductivity of complexes 1 and 2 at low temperature is close (σ1 = 3.12 × 10−8 S cm−1 and σ2 = 3.81 × 10−8 S cm−1 at 30°C), but these two complexes show different conduction mechanisms. The Vehicular mechanism in 1 is caused by the O···H/H···O contact in 1, which is stronger than 2, and the Grotthuss mechanism in 2 is caused by the N···H/H···N contact in 2, which is stronger than 1. At the same time, complex 1 showed excellent antibacterial properties in vitro, mainly reflected in that five kinds of bacteria (Escherichia coli, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Pantoea agglomerans, Pseudomonas putida, and Pectobacterium carotovora) could play an obvious inhibitory effect in the concentration range of 20 μg·ml−1. Calcium-ion batteries (CIBs) are considered as promising alternatives in large-scale energy storage due to their divalent electron redox properties, low cost, and high volumetric/gravimetric capacity. However, the high charge density of Ca2+ contributes to strong electrostatic interaction between divalent Ca2+ and hosting lattice, leading to sluggish kinetics and poor rate performance. Here, in situ formed poly(anthraquinonyl sulfide) (PAQS)@CNT composite is reported as nonaqueous calcium-ion battery cathode. The enolization redox chemistry of organics has fast redox kinetics, and the introduction of carbon nanotube (CNT) accelerates electron transportation, which contributes to fast ionic diffusion. As the conductivity of the PAQS is enhanced by the increasing content of CNT, the voltage gap is significantly reduced. The PAQS@CNT electrode exhibits specific capacity (116 mAh g-1 at 0.05 A g-1), high rate capacity (60 mAh g-1 at 4 A g-1), and an initial capacity of 82 mAh g-1 at 1 A g-1 (83% capacity retention after 500 cycles). The electrochemical mechanism is proved to be that the PAQS undergoes reduction reaction of their carbonyl bond during discharge and becomes coordinated by Ca2+ and Ca(TFSI)+ species. Computational simulation also suggests that the construction of Ca2+ and Ca(TFSI)+ co-intercalation in the PAQS is the most reasonable pathway. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The complex [Cd(PDNDI)]·DMF (Cd‐PDNDI) (H2PDNDI = N‐(4‐pyridine)‐4,5‐dicarboxy‐1,8‐naphthalene dicarboxyimide) was synthesized by the reaction of N,N′‐di(4‐pyridyl)‐1,4,5,8‐naphthalene diimide (DPNDI) and Cd(NO3)2·4H2O. It was characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible (UV‐vis) spectroscopy, powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), single crystal X‐ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. Structural analysis shows that the Cd‐PDNDI has a self‐assembled 3D network structure with the rtl type topology. It is worth mentioning that the composition of the ligand is different from the initial raw material used in this molecular structure. This may be because the ligand undergoes an in situ hydrolysis reaction in the reaction system and becomes an NDI carboxylic acid derivative, which continues to join coordination reaction with the metal ion. In addition, the Cd‐PDNDI has an excellent photocatalytic effect on malachite green (MG) among the six dyes, which shows that the Cd‐PDNDI could be used as a photocatalytic material for the degradation of dyes. As for the voltage‐controlled voltage sources converter (VSC), the inner current loop of dual closed‐loop control is equivalent to a virtual impedance, which provides effective damping for the system. However, the time delay caused by computation and transmission becomes increasingly prominent in the low‐pulse‐ratio cases, which not only limits the achievable bandwidth, but also reduces the stability of the current loop. This paper proposes an enhanced control strategy for current loop by adding the feedback of computation delay into the current controller, to significantly widen the stability region and control bandwidth, and increase the active damping. The parameter design of the current controller is presented based on discrete‐time root locus. Subsequently, the voltage controller is directly deduced in the discrete‐time domain, which eliminates the poles/zeros deviation caused by discretization. The accurate delay compensation is realized by pole‐zero cancellation, thus avoiding the additional phase compensation for fundamental and harmonic frequencies. In this work, based on the conjugated structure of the naphthalene ring system, four stable Cd‐NDI complexes {[Cd(NDI−A)0.5(H2O)(o‐BDC)]⋅H2O}n (1); {[Cd(NDI−A)(DMF)(m‐BDC)]⋅H2O}n (2); {[Cd(NDI−A)(HCOO)(p‐BDC)0.5]}n (3); {[Cd1.5(NDI−A)2(H2O)2(TIBTC)] ⋅ 2H2O}n (4) (NDI‐A=N,N'‐di(4‐pyridylacylamino)‐1,4,5,8‐naphthalenediimide; o‐H2BDC=phthalic acid; m‐H2BDC=iso‐phthalic acid; p‐H2BDC=p‐phthalic acid; H3TIBTC=2,4,6‐triiodo‐1,3,5‐benzene tricarboxylic acid) are designed and synthesized. The four Cd‐NDI complexes have good luminescence properties, and complexes 1–3 can selectively detect Cr2O72− and L‐Arginine in water. Complex 1 has the best ability to detect Cr2O72− with a limit of detection (LOD) of 2.32 μM; complex 3 can be employed for the detection of L‐arginine with a LOD of 2.25 μM. Complex 1–3 may be useful for monitoring water quality and treating wastewater as a good fluorescence sensor. In addition, based on the specific detection species of C=N bonds by complexes 1–3, we take complex 3 as an example to conduct preliminary studies monitoring a Schiff base reaction in situ with fluorescence quenching. This provides a new method for monitoring organic reactions. Besides, we also have explored the ability of complex 4 to detect p‐nitroaniline. Despite recent advances in targeted therapies and immunotherapies in acute myeloid leukemia, patient prognosis is still dismal given the high frequency of refractory cases or post‐remission relapse. Ferrotherapy, a novel anti‐cancer treatment strategy using iron‐based compounds, can mechanistically bypass the chemoresistance of cancer cells. However, cancer cells often overexpress the transmembrane iron exporter ferroportin that expels accumulated iron into the plasma, which can potentially limit the efficacy of ferrotherapy and lead to systemic toxic effects. Here, a ferro‐therapeutic nanoplatform is designed using fusing hepcidin and leukemia cell‐membrane vesicles on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)‐loaded hollow mesoporous Prussian Blue (AuPB@LMHep). AuPB@LMHep specifically targeted leukemia cells through ferroportin and is subsequently internalized and disintegrated into iron and AuNPs through autophagy. The accumulation of iron due to blockade of ferroportin‐mediated iron efflux and the depletion of glutathione by the AuNPs triggered ferroptosis. Furthermore, iron accumulation inactivated the endogenous iron‐dependent m6A demethylase, thereby increasing global m6A RNA modification and suppressing multiple oncogenes. Finally, AuPB@LMHep enhanced the immune response to anti‐programmed death ligand1 treatment via increasing cytotoxic tumor‐infiltrating T cells. We investigate Riemann--Liouville processes $R_H$, with $H > 0$, and fractional Brownian motions $B_H$, for $0 < H < 1$, and study their small deviation properties in the spaces $L_q([0, 1], \mu)$. Of special interest here are thin (fractal) measures $\mu$, that is, those that are singular with respect to the Lebesgue measure. We describe the behavior of small deviation probabilities by numerical quantities of $\mu$, called mixed entropy numbers, characterizing size and regularity of the underlying measure. For the particularly interesting case of self-similar measures, the asymptotic behavior of the mixed entropy is evaluated explicitly. We also provide two-sided estimates for this quantity in the case of random measures generated by subordinators.While the upper asymptotic bound for the small deviation probability is proved by purely probabilistic methods, the lower bound is verified by analytic tools concerning entropy and Kolmogorov numbers of Riemann--Liouville operators. A series of Eu2+ single doped Ca9Na1–xLixSc0.667(PO4)7 phosphors with full‐spectrum emission have been synthesized. Under the 385 nm excitation, the Eu2+ single doped Ca9NaSc0.667(PO4)7 without Li+ doping displays a broad cold white light emission with the peaks at about 480 and 610 nm. With the introduction of Li+ ions, the Eu2+ ions selectively occupy the Ca1, Ca2/Ca3, and Na sites. The variation of local environment of Eu2+ ions caused by Li+ ions enhances the luminous intensity, solves the problem of the lack of a red light component, and realizes the emission color tuning from cold white via warm white to orange. A special charge compensation method caused by Li+ migration avoids the generation of defects and is beneficial to the improvement of luminescence properties. Eventually, a warm white light‐emitting diode device is prepared by combining the white emitting Ca9Na0.8Li0.2Sc0.667(PO4)7:2%Eu2+ phosphors with 385 nm LED chip, which exhibits a high color‐rendering of 92.9, low correlated color temperatures of 4529 K, and excellent color stability under working temperature. The as‐reported warm white emitting Eu2+‐doped phosphors have potential applications in full‐spectrum solid‐state lighting. The field of post‐synthesis modification has aroused widespread concern from diverse perspectives, including chemistry, biology, and material science. Post‐synthesis modification can introduce rich functionality into metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) without destroying the main structure of MOFs. Based on this research status, a series of lanthanide metal–organic frameworks ([Ln2(NH2‐BDC)2.5(CH3COO)(DMA)(H2O)]•DMA, Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd and Tb, NH2‐BDC = 2‐aminoterephthalic acid, DMA = N,N‐Dimethylacetamide) with 3D network structures, are synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis. Due to the presence of uncoordinated amino groups in the ligands, a series of post‐synthesis modified compounds are successfully synthesized through aldimine condensation reaction. Based on the good fluorescence properties and stable structure of coordination polymers and post‐synthesis modified compounds in water or organic solvents, they are able to be used as potential fluorescence sensor for the detection of Th4+, UO22+, and Cr2O72−, and the calculation result shows that the post‐synthesis modified compounds are more sensitive to the detection of analytes (Th4+, UO22+ and Cr2O72−) than coordination polymers. In addition, the MOF membrane prepared by self‐assembly of [Eu2(NH2‐BDC)2.5(CH3COO)(DMA)(H2O)]•DMA and ternary soap‐free copolymer (VAc‐AA‐BA) emulsion can be used first for detecting aldehyde vapors. A scalable fabrication route combining colloidal lithography and nanoskiving is reported for generating free‐standing asymmetric metal nanostructures of crescent‐shaped gold nanowires and rows of opposing crescents with and without nanogaps. Strong localized surface plasmon resonances and propagating surface plasmon polaritons are excited at the sharp tips of the crescent and in the sub‐10 nm nanogaps. High‐order resonance modes are excited due to the coupling between the resonances in the tips and gaps. The Raman signals are greatly enhanced due to the strong electric fields. In addition, the optical responses and electric field distributions can be controlled by the polarization of the incident light. The strong electric field enhancement coupled with facile, scalable fabrication make crescent‐shaped nanostructures promising in nonlinear optics, optical trapping, and surface‐enhanced spectroscopy. Herein, the Fe3C nanoparticles encapsulated in carbon nanotubes (Fe3C/CNTs) were successfully prepared through a simple method using g‐C3N4 from thermal polymerization of melamine. The structure, morphology and magnetic properties of the prepared samples were investigated by various technologies. The results show that the Fe3C nanoparticles encapsulated in carbon nanotubes exhibit good magnetic properties with high saturated magnetization (83.7 emu g−1). Rare earth ions' site occupation is significant for studying luminescence properties by changing the host composition. The (Ba1‐xSrx)9Lu2Si6O24:Eu2+ (x = 0‐0.4) tunable‐color phosphors were synthesized via a high temperature solid‐state reaction. With the Sr2+ ions concentration increase, the luminescent color could be tuned from blue to green. This phenomenon is discussed in detail through the ions occupation in the host lattice. More importantly, the temperature‐dependent luminescence of (Ba1‐xSrx)9Lu2Si6O24:Eu2+ phosphors was investigated and exhibited excellent thermal stability. Furthermore, white LED device has been fabricated using (Ba1‐xSrx)9Lu2Si6O24:Eu2+ phosphor mixed with commercial red phosphor Sr2Si5N8:Eu3+ combined with a 370 nm UV‐chip. This device showed correlated color temperature (CCT) of 5125 K and high color render index (CRI) of 91. Three different transition metal elements doped Fe3N were prepared by a simple path. Their structure, morphology, and magnetic properties were carefully investigated by X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy as well as vibrating sample magnetometer. Moreover, we detailedly compared and analyzed the impact of different transition metal elements on the properties of Fe3N. Combining with the results of analysis and comparison, it indicates that this simple method can be used to explore the impact on the transition metal nitride incorporated with different transition metal elements in the carbon‐rich system. Sr2Gd8(SiO4)6O2:Ce3+/Mn2+, an oxyapatite structure phosphor, was prepared through a high temperature solid state reaction method. The crystal structure, luminescence properties, and energy transfer mechanism of the samples were investigated in detail. Under the irradiation of 330 nm, tunable colors from blue to yellow, including white can be realized through the energy transfer from Ce3+ to Mn2+ ions. The energy transfer mechanism of Ce3+ → Mn2+ was discussed and demonstrated to be a dipole‐dipole interaction according to the results of the emission spectra and decay curves of the phosphors. Moreover, the thermal stability of the Ce3+ and Mn2+ co‐doped Sr2Gd8(SiO4)6O2 phosphors were studied through the temperature‐dependent emission spectra. The results suggest that Sr2Gd8(SiO4)6O2:Ce3+/Mn2+ maybe used as color tunable phosphors in white‐light‐emitting diodes (WLEDs). The single‐component color‐tunable phosphors Sr2Gd8(SiO4)6O2:Ce3+/Mn2+ were prepared. The emission color can be tuned from blue to white and eventually to red. Abstract: A Cu metal‐organic framework (MOF), [Cu4(PMTD)2(H2O)3]⋅20 H2O, 1, (where PMTD is 1,4‐phenylenebis(5‐methyl‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3,4‐diyl)bis(5‐carboxylato‐3,1‐phenylene)bis(hydroperoxymethanide)), with a rare chiral Oh‐type cage, and dual functionalities of open metal sites and Lewis basic sites, based on a designed U‐shaped ligand, was synthesized by hydrothermal methods. It exhibits high CO2, C2, and C3 hydrocarbon storage capacity under atmospheric pressure, as well as high H2 (1.96 wt.%) adsorption capacity at 77 K. Methane purification capacity was tested and verified step by step. Isosteric heats (Qst) studies reveal that CH4 has the weakest van der Waals host–guest interactions among the seven gases at 298 K. Ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST) calculation reveals that compound 1 is more selective toward CO2, C2H6, and C3H8 over CH4 in further calculating its separation capacity, as exemplified for CO2/CH4 (50:50, 5:95), C2H6/CH4 (50:50, 5:95), or C3H8/CH4 (50:50, 5:95) binary gas mixtures. Breakthrough experiments show that 1 has a significantly higher adsorption capacity for CO2, C2H6, and C3H8 than CH4. Abstract: In this work, a series of three‐dimensional porous flower‐like zinc doped NiCo2O4 (ZNCO) nanostructures with different Zn doping level are successfully prepared by a facile solvothermal process without using any templets. The obtained products are characterized by various techniques, and their electrocatalytic performances are also assessed by the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). According to the electrochemical characterization, it is demonstrated that ZNCO‐0.15 (i.e., Zn0.15Ni0.85Co2O4) nanoflowers show a lower overpotential, smaller Tafel slope, higher electrochemical active surface area (ECSA), as well as a larger turnover frequency (TOF) value than those of Co3O4, NiCo2O4, and ZnCo2O4 nanoflowers, indicating that introduction of an optimal content of zinc ions plays an important role in enhancing electrocatalytic performances for OER. The enhanced OER performance of ZNCO‐0.15 could be attributed to the increased number of active sites (Co3+), accelerated kinetic rate, and promoted conductivity of the catalyst with the incorporation of zinc ions. Abstract: Interfacial charge separation and transfer are the main challenges of efficient semiconductor‐based Z‐scheme photocatalytic systems. Here, it is discovered that a Schottky junction at the interface between the BiVO4 {010} facet and Au is an efficient electron‐transfer route useful for constructing a high‐performance BiVO4{010}–Au–Cu2O Z‐scheme photocatalyst. Spectroscopic and computational studies reveal that hot electrons in BiVO4 {010} more easily cross the Schottky barrier to expedite the migration from BiVO4 {010} to Au and are subsequently captured by the excited holes in Cu2O. This crystal‐facet‐dependent electron shuttle allows the long‐lived holes and electrons to stay in the valence band of BiVO4 and conduction band of Cu2O, respectively, contributing to improved light‐driven CO2 reduction. This unique semiconductor crystal‐facet sandwich structure will provide an innovative strategy for rational design of advanced Z‐scheme photocatalysts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: A series of emission‐tunable Na1−xAl1+2xSi1−2xO4:xBi3+/Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized via high temperature solid‐state reaction method. The luminescence properties, energy transfer from Bi3+ to Eu3+ ions, color tuning, thermal stability and quantum efficiency were systematically investigated. Especially, in the host, a certain amount of Si4+ were replaced by Al3+ in order to remedy the charge compensating defect, so that, the emission intensity had been improved. The results of Rietveld refinements, the analysis of SEM mapping and the fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) indicated that this charge balance strategy was an effective method. Meanwhile, the energy transfer from Bi3+ to Eu3+ can be inferred and confirmed and the mechanisms were demonstrated to quadrupole–quadrupole interaction. The emission hue can be tuned from blue to pink, and finally to orange red light by properly varying the ratio of Bi3+ and Eu3+. Importantly, when the temperature was raised to 150°C, the integrated emission intensity was 71.20% of the initial value for NAS:1%Bi3+,2%Eu3+ samples indicating that these phosphors had excellent thermal stability and stable color (no emission shift). All these properties indicate that the developed phosphors may be potentially used as single‐component color‐tunable‐emitting phosphors for UV light‐emitting diodes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: In this work, TiO2 nanosponge, replication of a bio‐template by a sol–gel method was achieved with filter paper. High‐dispersed Au and Pt nanoparticles (NPs) with controllable size were immobilized on the surface of TiO2 nanosponge, respectively. The obtained noble metal NPs/TiO2 nanosponge composites were characterized by various techniques. Catalytic activity of the synthesized Au/TiO2 nanocomposites was assessed by the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP), while the catalytic performance of the as‐synthesized Pt/TiO2 nanosponge composites was evaluated by the CO oxidation reaction. Notably, the Au/TiO2 and Pt/TiO2 nanocomposites demonstrated a good catalytic activity and stability for the catalytic reduction of 4‐NP and the catalytic oxidation of CO, respectively.
