Here, we have successfully achieved the addition of difluoroacetate radicals to 2‐aryl‐3H‐indol‐3‐ones, enabling various difluoroalkylations of C2‐tetrasubstituted 2‐aryl indolin‐3‐ones in a highly efficient and economical manner. It is worth mentioning that these difluoroalkylation compounds can be easily transformed into various derivatives under mild reaction conditions. Background: Absent "organic" disease, dyspeptic symptoms may arise from abnormal gastric sensation, accommodation, motility or emptying (GE). Extensive gastric sensorimotor evaluation is rarely undertaken because testing is prolonged, invasive, poorly tolerated or unavailable. Aims: To investigate whether gastric antral motor function, evaluated with scintigraphy, predicts GE. To explore whether motor testing with symptom recording predicts day‐to‐day symptoms in patients with dyspepsia. Methods: GE was determined using a scintigraphic solid‐meal protocol (296 kcal, 35% fat). Antral motility was estimated from 10 min of scintigraphic time‐activity curves acquired 40 min after meal consumption. An antral motility index (MI) was derived from contraction amplitude and frequency. Intra‐gastric distribution of the meal on scintograms at 1 h (IGD1) was determined. Meal‐induced symptoms were evaluated by questionnaire. Patients completed the Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptom Index Daily Diary (GCSI‐DD) for 14 days. Results: Twelve healthy participants and 23 prospectively recruited patients completed the study. Nine patients had delayed, and 2 had rapid, GE. In univariate analysis MI explained 42% of GE half‐time. In multivariate analysis MI and GE half‐time explained 25% of the variance in meal‐induced symptoms. While scintigraphic evaluation of gastric motor function with symptom recording explained 80% of the variance in the GCSI‐DD, meal‐induced symptoms were the only significant predictor. However, among patients with delayed GE, MI, GE half‐time, IGD1, and meal‐induced symptoms all significantly predicted GCSI‐DD. Conclusions: Antral motility predicts GE. In exploratory analyses, only meal‐induced symptoms predicted daily symptoms among patients with dyspepsia. However, motor function also predicted symptoms in patients with delayed GE. Sleep deprivation (SD) has been associated with a plethora of severe pathophysiological syndromes, including gut damage, which recently has been elucidated as an outcome of the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). However, the spatiotemporal analysis conducted in this study has intriguingly shown that specific events cause harmful damage to the gut, particularly to goblet cells, before the accumulation of lethal ROS. Transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses have identified significant enrichment of metabolites related to ferroptosis in mice suffering from SD. Further analysis revealed that melatonin could rescue the ferroptotic damage in mice by suppressing lipid peroxidation associated with ALOX15 signaling. ALOX15 knockout protected the mice from the serious damage caused by SD‐associated ferroptosis. These findings suggest that melatonin and ferroptosis could be targets to prevent devastating gut damage in animals exposed to SD. To sum up, this study is the first report that proposes a noncanonical modulation in SD‐induced gut damage via ferroptosis with a clearly elucidated mechanism and highlights the active role of melatonin as a potential target to maximally sustain the state during SD. The dual emission (DE) characteristics of atomically precise copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) are of significant theoretical and practical interest. Despite this, the underlying mechanism driving DE in Cu NCs remains elusive, primarily due to the complexities of excited state processes. Herein, a novel [Cu4(PPh3)4(C≡C−p−NH2C6H4)3]PF6 (Cu4) NC, shielded by alkynyl and exhibiting DE, was synthesized. Hydrostatic pressure was applied to Cu4, for the first time, to investigate the mechanism of DE. With increasing pressure, the higher‐energy emission peak of Cu4 gradually disappeared, leaving the lower‐energy emission peak as the dominant emission. Additionally, the Cu4 crystal exhibited notable piezochromism transitioning from cyan to orange. Angle‐dispersive synchrotron X‐ray diffraction results revealed that the reduced inter‐cluster distances under pressure brought the peripheral ligands closer, leading to the formation of new C−H⋅⋅⋅N and N−H⋅⋅⋅N hydrogen bonds in Cu4. It is proposed that these strengthened hydrogen bond interactions limit the ligands′ vibration, resulting in the vanishing of the higher‐energy peak. In situ high‐pressure Raman and vibrationally resolved emission spectra demonstrated that the benzene ring C=C stretching vibration is the structural source of the DE in Cu4. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Four alkyl chains and cyclohexane modified FeII complexes [Fe(Ln)(L')](ClO4)2⋅solv (n=1, 2, 3, 4) were synthesized and characterized. X‐ray diffraction study showed that these complexes were constituted by asymmetric mononuclear FeII entities, incorporating alkyl‐chain‐modified bppCOOH (2,6‐bis(1H‐pyrazol‐1‐yl)isonicotinic acid) ligands and 6,6"‐2,6‐dimethoxyphenyl‐substituted terpy ligand (L'). Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed that complexes 1, 2, and 3 were in the high spin state across the measured temperature range, whereas complex 4 displayed an incomplete spin crossover phenomenon, with a transition temperature (T1/2) at 240 K. Investigations into variable‐temperature structure and magneto‐structural correlations revealed that the integration of alkyl‐chain‐modified bipyridyl units fostered the π⋅⋅⋅π intra‐ and intermolecular interactions, contributing to distinct crystal stacking and spatial configurations in complex 4 when compared to its counterparts. These findings underscore the pivotal influence of intramolecular interactions on the FeII spin states and highlight the significance of designing flexible ligands for modulating spin‐crossover characteristics. Objective: To evaluate corpus callosum (CC) size in fetuses with malformations of cortical development (MCD) and to explore the diagnostic value of three CC length (CCL) ratios in identifying cortical abnormalities. Methods: This is a single‐center retrospective study in singleton fetuses at 20–37 weeks of gestation between April 2017 and August 2022. The midsagittal plane of the fetal brain was obtained and evaluated for the following variables: length, height, area of the corpus callosum, and relevant markers, including the ratios of corpus callosum length to internal cranial occipitofrontal dimension (CCL/ICOFD), corpus callosum length to femur length (CCL/FL), and corpus callosum length to cerebellar vermian diameter (CCL/VD). Intra‐class correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to evaluate measurement consistency. The accuracy of biometric measurements in prediction of MCD was assessed using the area under the receiver‐operating‐characteristics curves (AUC). Results: Fetuses with MCD had a significantly decreased CCL, height (genu and splenium), and area as compared with those of normal fetuses (P <.05), but there was no significant difference in body height (P =.326). The CCL/ICOFD, CCL/FL, and CCL/VD ratios were significantly decreased in fetuses with MCD when compared with controls (P <.05). The CCL/ICOFD ratio offered the highest predictive accuracy for MCD, yielding an AUC of 0.856 (95% CI: 0.774–0.938, P <.001), followed by CCL/FL ratio (AUC, 0.780 (95% CI: 0.657–0.904), P <.001), CCL/VD ratio (AUC, 0.677 (95% CI: 0.559–0.795), P <.01). Conclusion: The corpus callosum biometric parameters in fetuses with MCD are reduced. The CCL/ICOFD ratio derived from sonographic measurements is considered a promising tool for the prenatal detection of cortical malformations. Here we report B(C6F5)3/CPA‐catalyzed enantioselective aza‐Diels–Alder reaction of 3,3‐difluoro‐2‐Aryl‐3H‐indoles with unactivated dienes to access chiral 10,10‐difluoro‐tetrahydropyrido[1,2‐a]indoles. This protocol allows the formation of pyrazole‐based C2‐quaternary indolin‐3‐ones with high enantioselectivities and regioselectivities. Moreover, gram‐scale synthesis of the 10,10‐difluoro‐tetrahydropyrido[1,2‐a]indole skeleton was successfully achieved without any reduction in both yield and enantioselectivity. Transition‐metal catalyzed difunctionalization of olefins has attracted considerable attention as a method to construct carbon‐carbon and carbon‐hetero bonds. Herein, the copper‐catalyzed three‐component radical cross‐coupling of oxime esters, styrenes and AgSCF3 through a visible‐light‐promoted iminyl radical‐mediated carbon‐carbon bond cleavage strategy has been described. Utilizing low‐cost copper salt as both photosensitizers and cross‐couplers, this protocol delivers diverse target products, providing a supplementary approach for cyanoalkylation and trifluoromethylthiolation of drug molecules. Background: Several research efforts have found that older schizophrenia patients are at higher risk for suicide. Related risk factors for suicide attempts in the elderly with schizophrenia are poorly understood. This study sought to assess the prevalence of suicide attempts and related risk variables in schizophrenia patients over the age of 50. Methods: We recruited 591 elderly patients over the age of 50. Demographic, clinical and blood parameters of all patients were collected. Patients with schizophrenia were evaluated for psychopathological symptoms using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). Results: The rate of suicide attempts among elderly Chinese schizophrenia patients was 15.2%. In these elderly schizophrenia patients, those who with suicide attempts had significantly higher scores for insomnia, depression and smoking addiction, and higher levels of red blood cells, Hc1 glycosylated hemoglobin and free T3, but significantly lower levels of hypersensitive C‐reactive protein and ‐globulin. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that higher depression scores and smoking addiction were risk factors for suicide attempts in these patients. Additionally, multiple regression analyses showed that higher BMI and insomnia scores were associated with suicide risk scores in elderly schizophrenia patients. Conclusions: Our research shows that there is a high incidence of suicide attempts in people over 50 years of age with schizophrenia. In this qualitative study, we explore the potential of an innovative case study approach in a personal finance course among college students with the goal of making the course inclusive for students who are from economically disadvantaged families and traditionally have unsuccessful experiences in math. Students were required to create their own cases based on their unique, diverse backgrounds. Student reflections on their personal case study projects underwent thematic analyses. Our analysis documents the benefits and barriers perceived by students in this unique case study implementation, which has implications for promoting inclusive teaching in personal finance course design and delivery. Background: Identification of non‐diabetic renal disease (NDRD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) may help tailor treatment. Intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion‐weighted imaging (IVIM‐DWI) is a promising tool to evaluate renal function but its potential role in the clinical differentiation between diabetic nephropathy (DN) and NDRD remains unclear. Purpose: To investigate the added role of IVIM‐DWI in the differential diagnosis between DN and NDRD in patients with T2DM. Study Type: Prospective. Population: Sixty‐three patients with T2DM (ages: 22–69 years, 17 females) confirmed by renal biopsy divided into two subgroups (28 DN and 35 NDRD). Field Strength/Sequence: 3 T/ T2 weighted imaging (T2WI), and intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion‐weighted imaging (IVIM‐DWI). Assessment: The parameters derived from IVIM‐DWI (true diffusion coefficient [D], pseudo‐diffusion coefficient [D*], and pseudo‐diffusion fraction [f]) were calculated for the cortex and medulla, respectively. The clinical indexes related to renal function (eg cystatin C, etc.) and diabetes (eg diabetic retinopathy [DR], fasting blood glucose, etc.) were measured and calculated within 1 week before MRI scanning. The clinical model based on clinical indexes and the IVIM‐based model based on IVIM parameters and clinical indexes were established and evaluated, respectively. Statistical Tests: Student's t‐test; Mann–Whitney U test; Fisher's exact test; Chi‐squared test; Intraclass correlation coefficient; Receiver operating characteristic analysis; Hosmer–Lemeshow test; DeLong's test. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The cortex D*, DR, and cystatin C values were identified as independent predictors of NDRD in multivariable analysis. The IVIM‐based model, comprising DR, cystatin C, and cortex D*, significantly outperformed the clinical model containing only DR, and cystatin C (AUC = 0.934, 0.845, respectively). Objective: The pathological features of immune‐mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) are dominated by the infiltration of macrophages. We aimed to perform a histopathologic semiquantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between macrophage markers and prognosis. Methods: Semiquantitative analysis of histologic features was performed in 62 samples of IMNM. Independent risk factors were identified through univariate and multivariate regression analysis. Cluster analysis was performed using the partitioning around the medoids (PAM) method. Decision tree modeling was utilized to efficiently determine cluster labels for IMNM patients. The validity of the developmental cohort was assessed by accuracy in comparison with the validation cohort. Results: The most enriched groups in patients with IMNM were macrophages expressing CD206 and CD163. In the multivariate logistic regression model, the high density of CD163+ macrophages in perimysial connective tissue increased the risk of unfavorable prognosis (p = 0.025, OR = 1.463, 95% CI: 1.049–2.041). In cluster analysis, patients in Cluster 1, with lower CD163+ macrophage density and inflammatory burden, had a more favorable prognosis. Conversely, patients in Cluster 3, which were enriched for CD163+ macrophages in the perimysial connective tissue, had the most severe clinical features and the worst prognosis. Correlations were found between the density of CD163+ macrophages in connective tissue and symptom duration (R2 = 0.166, p < 0.001), dysphagia (p = 0.004), cardiac involvement (p = 0.021), CK (R2 = 0.067, p = 0.042), CRP (R2 = 0.117, p < 0.001), and ESR (R2 = 0.171, p < 0.001). The demand for the azeotropic C2ClF5/C3F8 separation continues to rise owing to the significance of ultrapure fluoride gases for the electronic industry. With a boiling point differential of 1.1 K, separating an azeotropic mixture of C2ClF5/C3F8 through sorption‐based processes under ambient conditions is a preferable alternative to the current energy‐intensive cryogenic separation method. Here, we report the highly efficient C2ClF5/C3F8 adsorption separation in quaternary alkylammonium ions modified MFI type zeolites with interlaced channels which provide a cooperative effect conferred by specific interaction sites and optimal pore size. A path‐regulatory mechanism was proposed, whereby TMA+ cations located at intersections resembling "train turnouts" force gas molecules to switch traffic channels to confined sinusoidal channels affecting the C2ClF5/C3F8 recognition sites and diffusion behavior. Molecular simulations were conducted to reveal the separation mechanism, and the breakthrough experiment validated the effectiveness of this adsorbent at 298 K outperforming conventional adsorbents for the challenging azeotropic separation. Boron‐dipyrromethenes (BODIPYs) have attracted much attention owing to their unique properties and widespread applications; however, the incorporation of the heavier group 14 and 15 elements in the rigid dipyrromethene ligands remains limited. Herein, the dipyrromethene‐based heavier group 14 and 15 element complexes, tin‐dipyrromethene (SNDIPY, 1) and arsenic‐dipyrromethene (ASDIPY, 2), which are direct analogues of BODIPY, have been facilely synthesized and isolated in moderate yields. Both compounds have been investigated by NMR, UV‐vis absorption, photoluminescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammogram, X‐ray crystallography, as well as theoretical studies. Both compounds exhibit green photoluminescence. Notably, SNDIPY 1 is air‐stable and compound 2 represents the first isolable and structurally characterized ASDIPY. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The evolutionary dynamics of tree species are influenced by their specific climatic environments, and their ability to persist is determined by adaptive strategies such as broad climate tolerance, phenotypic plasticity or genetic differentiation. Biogeographical predictions indicate that populations located at the edges of their ranges are more likely to experience heightened vulnerability to climatic fluctuations due to approaching tolerance limits. However, if local phenotypic acclimation or genetic adaptation has taken place, trees near the edge of their range could demonstrate comparable sensitivity to freeze and drought as the rest of the sampled population. Nevertheless, there remains uncertainty regarding the extent of developmental and evolutionary adjustments in climate sensitivity across the entire ranges of many tree species.Here, we document the biogeography of tree growth sensitivity to freeze and soil water and vapour pressure deficits during 1950–2018 using an extensive multi‐species tree‐ring dataset of 35,784 trees at 4535 sites covering boreal, temperate conifer and temperate deciduous forests of Canada. We quantify the relationships between tree radial growth increment and seasonal climate variables and explore factors driving the observed patterns of annual growth and climate sensitivity such as species, regional climate and local site conditions, and tree age and size.Freeze and drought had widespread impacts on tree growth that were contingent on the presence of focal species in interaction with tree size. An indirect growth thermal limitation towards cold/wet edges, occurring through the site moisture conditions, was observed in seven widespread species (e.g. Picea glauca, Picea mariana and Larix laricina). Moreover, six species had negative drought impacts more strongly expressed towards their warm/dry edges (e.g. Abies balsamea, Betula papyrifera and Pseudotsuga menziesii). However, widespread Picea, Pinus and Populus species showed no indication of increased sensitivity to soil water conditions at these edges.Synthesis. Our findings support the idea of evolutionary or acclimatization adjustments in the development of populations in response to long‐term climate conditions experienced in their respective locations. This underscores the importance of incorporating phenotypic and genomic data into future analyses of climate change impacts, which would enhance our ability to predict potential ecological shifts. The spatiotemporal coupling relationship between deep hydrocarbon fluid and sandstone uranium mineralization within the shallow buried red‐variegated clastic rocks in the Qianjiadian area of the Songliao Basin remains a topic of controversy. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the source, nature and exudative age of deep exotic hydrocarbon, as well as the interaction mechanism and alteration process between hydrocarbon fluid and clastic rock. To achieve this, various methods were employed, including acidolysis hydrocarbon test (AHT), clay x‐ray diffraction (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), carbon isotope analysis (CIA) and LA‐ICP‐MS U–Pb isotopic dating. The results indicate that some tight sandstones from the Qingshankou Formation in Dalin uranium deposit exhibit high acidolysis hydrocarbon content (AHC), reaching n × 104 μL/kg, and predominantly consisting of low mature oil‐type gas. Local microscopic observations reveal pore fluorescence and hydrocarbon‐bearing inclusions with nattier blue tone. Furthermore, the kaolinites present in the ore area's sand‐bodies show a significantly higher content anomaly, commonly exceeding >50%, compared to the same layer in peripheral regions. Extensive dissolutions of lithic grains and feldspars are observed, along with the widespread occurrence of ferro‐dolomites and colloidal pyrites. Additionally, exotic asphaltenes are sporadically developed in localized areas. These findings provide evidence that the sand‐bodies experienced a significant exfiltration event of external gaseous fluids. The light carbon isotopes (δ13CV‐PDB ranging from −33.26‰ to −30.06‰) of group components and n‐Alkane suggest that the hydrocarbon originates from the source rock of the Lower Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation. A detailed two‐stage alteration sequence caused by acidic and reducing hydrocarbon is clarified, encompassing acidic corrosion, kaolinization, pyritization, silification and asphaltization during the exudation stage, followed by ferro‐dolomitization in the later cessation stage. Notably, vermicular secondary kaolinites, formed through the interaction between acidic hydrocarbon fluid and low‐temperature meteoric groundwater, serve as significant markers for the exfiltration of deep hydrocarbon fluid. In‐situ U–Pb dating of hydrocarbon‐bearing ferro‐dolomite yielded absolute exfiltration ages of 63.54 ± 4.13 and 65.93 ± 3.35 Ma. By integrating the tectonic–sedimentary–fluid evolution history and uranium mineralization characteristics in the study area, a three‐stage superimposed metallogenic model is proposed for the Upper Cretaceous red‐variegated layers: (1) the sedimentary and diagenetic stage of the target layer during the Late Cretaceous, (2) the predominant hydrocarbon exudation stage at the end of the Late Cretaceous, and (3) the main uranium mineralization stage since the Paleogene. This study enhances our understanding of coupled‐genetic sandstone‐type uranium deposit in a sedimentary basin and provides valuable guidance for prospecting similar red‐variegated beds in the Songliao Basin and other sedimentary basins worldwide. Background: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are predisposed to cardiovascular disease (CVD). Bone mineral density (BMD) is linked to CVD, but most studies focused on women. Our analysis aims to explore the association of BMD and fracture with the prevalence of CVD in men with T2DM. Methods: In this retrospective cross‐sectional study, 856 men with T2DM were enrolled. BMDs at the lumbar spine (L2‐4), femoral neck (FN), and total hip (TH) were measured by dual‐energy X‐ray absorptiometry (DXA). The CVD outcome was determined as the sum of the following conditions: congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, the requirement for coronary artery revascularization, and stroke. The relationship between BMDs and CVD was investigated by restricted cubic spline curves and logistic regression models. Results: A total of 163 (19.0%) patients developed CVD. The restricted cubic spline curve revealed a linear and negative association between FN‐BMD, TH‐BMD, and CVD. After full adjustments for confounding covariates, the odds ratios were 1.34 (95% confidence interval [CI] [1.11–1.61], p <.05), 1.3 (95% CI [1.05–1.60], p <.05), and 1.26 (95% CI [1.02–1.55], p <.05) for each 1‐SD decrease in BMDs of L2‐4, FN and TH, respectively. T‐scores of < −1 for BMD of L2‐4 and FN were independently associated with CVD (p <.05). Subgroup analyses further supported our findings. Conclusions: The prevalence of CVD was inversely correlated with BMD levels in men with T2DM, particularly at the FN. We hypothesized that monitoring FN‐BMD and early intervention would help reduce CVD risk in men with T2DM, especially those with hypertension. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Adenocarcinoma of the bladder is a rare urinary bladder carcinoma with limited therapy options due to lack of molecular characterization. Here, we aimed to reveal the mutational and transcriptomic landscapes of adenocarcinoma of the bladder and assess any relationship with prognosis. Between February 2015 and June 2021, a total of 23 patients with adenocarcinoma of the bladder were enrolled. These included 16 patients with primary bladder adenocarcinomas and seven patients with urachal adenocarcinoma. Whole exome sequencing (16 patients), whole genome sequencing (16 patients), bulk RNA sequencing (RNA‐seq) (19 patients), and single‐cell RNA‐seq (5 patients) were conducted for the specimens. Correlation analysis, survival analysis, and t‐tests were also performed. Prevalent T>A substitutions were observed among somatic mutations, and major trinucleotide contexts included 5'‐CTC‐3' and 5'‐CTG‐3'. This pattern was mainly contributed by COSMIC signature 22 related to chemical carcinogen exposure (probably aristolochic acid), which has not been reported in bladder adenocarcinoma. Moreover, genes with copy number changes were also enriched in the KEGG term 'chemical carcinogenesis'. Transcriptomic analysis suggested high immune cell infiltration and luminal‐like features in the majority of samples. Interestingly, a small fraction of samples with an APOBEC‐derived mutational signature exhibited a higher risk of disease progression compared with samples with only a chemical carcinogen‐related signature, confirming the molecular and prognostic heterogeneity of bladder adenocarcinoma. This study presents mutational and transcriptomic landscapes of bladder adenocarcinoma, and indicates that a chemical carcinogen‐related mutational signature may be related to a better prognosis compared with an APOBEC signature in adenocarcinoma of the bladder. © 2024 The Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland. However, its active ingredients and mechanism of action remain unclear. Objectives: This study aimed to reveal the potential active component group and possible anti‐IS mechanism of GBE. Materials and methods: The network pharmacology method was used to reveal the possible anti‐IS mechanism of these active ingredients in GBE. An ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography triple quadrupole electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC‐MS/MS) method was established for the simultaneous detection of the active ingredients of GBE. Results: The active components of GBE anti‐IS were screened by literature integration. Network pharmacology results showed that the anti‐IS effect of GBE is achieved through key active components such as protocatechuic acid, bilobalide, ginkgolide A, and so on. Gene Ontology (GO) function and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis showed that the possible anti‐IS mechanism of GBE is regulating the PI3K‐Akt signalling pathway and other signal pathways closely related to inflammatory response and apoptosis regulation combined with AKT1, MAPK, TNF, ALB, CASP3, and other protein targets. Nineteen main constituents in seven batches of GBE were successfully analysed using the established UPLC‐MS/MS method, and the results showed that the content of protocatechuic acid, gallic acid, ginkgolide A, and so forth was relatively high, which was consistent with network pharmacology results, indicating that these ingredients may be the key active anti‐IS ingredients of GBE. Conclusion: This study revealed the key active components and the anti‐IS mechanism of GBE. It also provided a simple and sensitive method for the quality control of related preparations. In this study, a multi‐component determination method for the active ingredients was established, and the differences of active ingredients content in GBE was uncovered. Moreover, the possible key components of GBE anti‐IS were identified by content analysis and network pharmacology. The feasibility of GBE for the treatment of IS was confirmed from an anti‐inflammatory perspective and the key role of regulated lipid and atherosclerosis, PI3K‐Akt signaling pathway, and pathways of neurodegeneration. Backgrounds: Anti‐N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate receptor encephalitis (NMDAR‐E) is a severe autoimmune disorder characterized by prominent psychiatric symptoms. Although the role of NMDAR antibodies in the disease has been extensively studied, the phenotype of B cell subsets is still not fully understood. Methods: We utilized single‐cell RNA sequencing, single‐cell B cell receptor sequencing (scBCR‐seq), bulk BCR sequencing, flow cytometry, and enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay to analyze samples from both NMDAR‐E patients and control individuals. Results: The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of NMDAR‐E patients showed significantly increased B cell counts, predominantly memory B (Bm) cells. CSF Bm cells in NMDAR‐E patients exhibited upregulated expression of differential expression genes (DEGs) associated with immune regulatory function (TNFRSF13B and ITGB1), whereas peripheral B cells upregulated DEGs related to antigen presentation. Additionally, NMDAR‐E patients displayed higher levels of IgD−CD27− double negative (DN) cells and DN3 cells in peripheral blood (PB). In vitro, DN1 cell subsets from NMDAR‐E patients differentiated into DN2 and DN3 cells, while CD27+ and/or IgD+B cells (non‐DN) differentiated into antibody‐secreting cells (ASCs) and DN cells. NR1‐IgG antibodies were found in B cell culture supernatants from patients. Differential expression of B cell IGHV genes in CSF and PB of NMDAR‐E patients suggests potential antigen class switching. Conclusion: B cell subpopulations in the CSF and PB of NMDAR‐E patients exhibit distinct compositions and transcriptomic features. In vitro, non‐DN cells from NMDAR‐E can differentiate into DN cells and ASCs, potentially producing NR1‐IgG antibodies. Chemotherapy‐resistant non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) presents a substantial barrier to effective care. It is still unclear how cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) contribute to NSCLC resistance to chemotherapy. Here, we found that CD248+CAFs released IL‐8 in NSCLC, which, in turn, enhanced the cisplatin (CDDP) IC50 in A549 and NCI‐H460 while decreasing the apoptotic percentage of A549 and NCI‐H460 in vitro. The CD248+CAFs‐based IL‐8 secretion induced NSCLC chemoresistance by stimulating nuclear factor kappa B (NF‐κB) and elevating ATP‐binding cassette transporter B1 (ABCB1). We also revealed that the CD248+CAFs‐based IL‐8 release enhanced cisplatin chemoresistance in NSCLC mouse models in vivo. Relative to wild‐type control mice, the CD248 conditional knockout mice exhibited significant reduction of IL‐8 secretion, which, in turn, enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of cisplatin in vivo. In summary, our study identified CD248 activates the NF‐κB axis, which, consecutively induces the CAFs‐based secretion of IL‐8, which promotes NSCLC chemoresistance. The objective of this work is to investigate adsorption separation of liquid‐phase xylene isomers using ultramicroporous carbon spheres. The synthesized glucose‐based adsorbent (UMC‐xyl) enabled the challenging separation of liquid‐phase p‐xylene/m‐xylene with an adsorption selectivity of 53 as well as p‐xylene uptake of 91mg/g, outperforming a series of commercial adsorbents including the industrial benchmark KBaX. The micropore diffusion model was used to give the best fit to the adsorption kinetics of UMC‐xyl with a rate achieved higher than KBaX. The xylene isomer separation was facilitated by the narrow ultramicropore size distributed at 5.8–6.8 Å in UMC‐xyl via a synergistic kinetic and size‐sieving separation mechanism. Breakthrough experiments confirmed the effectiveness of UMC‐xyl in the dynamic selective separation of p‐xylene from xylene isomers, together with superior multiple‐cycle eluent regenerability under the synergistic effects of the "like‐dissolve‐like" principle and π–π interaction. The present study investigated ultrasound (US) phenotypes reflecting prostate cancer (PCa)‐related genetic mutations. Herein, integration of radiotranscriptomic data, US and contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) radiomic images, and RNA sequencing was performed with the aim of significantly improving the accuracy of PCa prognosis. We performed radiotranscriptomic analysis of clinical, imaging, and two genomic (mRNA and microRNA expression) datasets from 48 and 22 men with PCa and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), respectively. Twenty‐three US texture features and four microvascular perfusion features were associated with various patterns of 52 differentially expressed genes related to PCa (p < 0.05); 17 overexpressed genes were associated with two key texture features. Twelve overexpressed genes were identified using microvascular perfusion features. Furthermore, mRNA and miRNA biomarkers could be used to distinguish between PCa and BPH. Compared with RNA sequencing, B‐mode and CEUS features reflected genomic alterations associated with hormone receptor status, angiogenesis, and prognosis in patients with PCa. These findings indicate the potential of US to assess biomarker levels in patients with PCa. 1. Precise regulation of photogenic electron transfer path plays an important role in improving photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction efficiency and product selectivity. Herein, under the guidance of density functional theory calculation, the interface chemical bond (CoN2 bond) at the atomic level is designed, and g‐C3N4/CoCo‐layered double hydroxide (LDH) heterostructure is manufactured. CoCo‐LDH with water oxidation ability and g‐C3N4 were combined to construct S‐scheme heterojunction with redox ability. The valence band and conduction band of g‐C3N4 and CoCo‐LDH are precisely connected by the interfacial CoN2 bond, which realizes the high‐speed transfer of electron transport. Despite the absence of cocatalyst, the heterojunction exhibits high water oxidation and carbon reduction capacity due to the precise regulation of CoN2 bonds. Theoretical calculations and experimental results show that the addition of CoCo‐LDH: reduces the oxidation overpotential of water to provide more H protons; regulates the delocalization charge of g‐C3N4; and reduces the energy barrier of the CO2 intermediate (*COOH) in the reduction half‐reaction. The results show that the selectivity of carbon‐based substances in the products was 100%, and the optimal CO yield was 71.39 μmol g−1 h−1, which is among the highest values of g‐C3N4‐based photocatalysts. Family with sequence similarity 20‐member C (FAM20C) is a kinase specific to most of the secreted phosphoproteome. FAM20C has been identified as the causative gene of Raine syndrome, initially characterized by lethal osteosclerosis bone dysplasia. However, since the identification of the cases of nonlethal Raine syndrome characterized by hypophosphatemia rickets, the previous definition of Raine syndrome has become debatable and raised a question about the role of mutations of FAM20C in controversial skeletal manifestation in the two forms of the disease. In this study, we aimed to investigate the influence of FAM20C mutations on skeletogenesis. We developed transgenic mice expressing Fam20c mutations mimicking those associated with human lethal and nonlethal Raine syndrome. The results revealed that transgenic mice expressing the mutant Fam20c found in the lethal (KO;G374R) and nonlethal (KO;D446N) Raine syndrome exhibited osteomalacia without osteosclerotic features. Additionally, both mutants significantly increased the expression of the Fgf23, indicating that Fam20c deficiency in skeletal compartments causes hypophosphatemia rickets. Furthermore, as FAM20C kinase activity catalyzes the phosphorylation of secreted proteomes other than those in the skeletal system, global FAM20C deficiency may trigger alterations in other systems resulting in osteosclerosis secondary to hypophosphatemia rickets. Together, the findings of this study suggest that FAM20C deficiency primarily causes hypophosphatemia rickets or osteomalacia; however, the heterogeneous skeletal manifestation in Raine syndrome was not determined solely by specific mutations of FAM20C. The findings also implicated that rickets or osteomalacia caused by FAM20C deficiency would deteriorate into osteosclerosis by the defects from other systems or environmental impacts. Despite the broad interest and rapid increase in studying green consumer behaviour (GCB) from a social perspective, related articles have been presented in a piecemeal fashion and have lacked a review of social roles in GCB. Additionally, the research focus may differ from the influence of digital technology. Therefore, this study draws on a review of 439 GCB articles that focus on social roles and utilizes both quantitative and qualitative analyses to provide a general picture of theories, social factors, research topics and topic trends with a specific emphasis on the research differences between the traditional and digital contexts. The findings indicate that the GCB field has experienced exponential growth since 2014. Subjective norms, social influence, culture, marketing influence and social media influence are the main drivers of GCB. Eight research topics are identified, among which topics on the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) and the theory of consumption values (TCV) maintained high popularity. Furthermore, the TPB is more prevalent in the traditional context in which scholars prefer to predict GCB using macrosocial factors, such as policy and culture. In comparison, signal theory and commitment‐trust theory have received more attention in the digital context in which trust is vital. Research interests in online platforms and green hotels have recently increased in the digital context. Gaps and suggested directions for future studies are further identified. Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) is mainly used as a food additive due to its antioxidant properties, which prevent or delay oxidation reactions and extend the storage life of products. The widespread use of BHA has led to its extensive presence in various environmental matrices and human tissues. Food intake is the main route of human exposure to BHA. Under different conditions, BHA can produce different metabolites, with tert‐butyl hydroquinone (TBHQ) being one of the major products. Several studies have shown that BHA could cause thyroid system damage, metabolic and growth disorders, neurotoxicity, and carcinogenesis. Mechanisms such as endocrine disruption, genotoxicity, disturbances of energy metabolism, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, signaling pathways, and imbalances in calcium homeostasis appear to be associated with the toxic effects of BHA. Avoiding the toxic effects of BHA to the maximum extent possible is a top priority. Finding safe, non‐toxic and environmentally friendly alternatives to BHA should be the focus of subsequent research. Objective: Bone metabolism can be influenced by a range of factors. We selected children with self‐limited epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (SeLECTS) and lifestyles similar to those of healthy children to control for the confounding factors that may influence bone metabolism. We aimed to identify the specific effects of epilepsy and/or anti‐seizure medications (ASMs) on bone metabolism. Methods: Patients with SeLECTS were divided into an untreated group and a monotherapy group, and the third group was a healthy control group. We determined the levels of various biochemical markers of bone metabolism, including procollagen type I nitrogenous propeptide (PINP), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), osteocalcin (OC), collagen type I cross‐linked C‐telopeptide (CTX), calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone (PTH), and vitamin D3 (VD3). Results: A total of 1487 patients (from 19 centers) were diagnosed with SeLECTS; 1032 were analyzed, including 117 patients who did not receive any ASMs (untreated group), 643 patients who received only one ASM (monotherapy group), and 272 children in the healthy control group. Except for VD3, other bone metabolism of the three groups were different (p <.001). Bone metabolism was significantly lower in the untreated group than the healthy control group (p <.05). There were significant differences between the monotherapy and healthy control group in the level of many markers. However, when comparing the monotherapy and untreated groups, the results were different; oxcarbazepine, levetiracetam, and topiramate had no significant effect on bone metabolism. Phosphorus and magnesium were significantly lower in the valproic acid group than the untreated group (adjusted p <.05, Cliff's delta.282–.768). CTX was significantly higher in the lamotrigine group than in the untreated group (adjusted p =.012, Cliff's delta =.316). Significance: Epilepsy can affect many aspects of bone metabolism. After controlling epilepsy and other confounders that affect bone metabolism, we found that the effects of ASMs on bone metabolism differed. Oxcarbazepine, levetiracetam, and topiramate did not affect bone metabolism, and lamotrigine corrected some of the abnormal markers of bone metabolism in patients with epilepsy. Heart failure (HF) is a disease with high mortality and morbidity rate. Autophagy is critically implicated in HF progression. The current research was designed to investigate the function of Dioscin on oxidative stress, autophagy, and apoptosis in HF. In this study, doxorubicin (Dox) was employed to induce HF model and HL‐1 cell damage model. Echocardiography implied that Dioscin could dramatically relieve heart function in vivo. Western blotting determined that Dioscin treatment reversed the promotive effect of autophagy caused by Dox through modulating levels of key autophagy‐associated molecules, including Atg5 and Beclin1. Dioscin also impaired apoptosis by regulating apoptosis‐related protein, including Bcl‐2 and cleaved caspase‐3 following Dox treatment in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, the impacts of Dioscin were mediated by upregulation of PDK1‐mediated Akt/mTOR signaling. The mTOR inhibitor (rapamycin) could counteract the therapeutic impact of Dioscin in vitro. An asymmetric intramolecular hydroalkylation of unactivated internal olefins with tethered cyclic ketones was realized by the cooperative catalysis of a newly designed chiral amine (SPD‐NH2) and PdII complex, providing straightforward access to either bridged or fused bicyclic systems containing three stereogenic centers with excellent enantioselectivity (up to 99 % ee) and diastereoselectivity (up to >20 : 1 dr). Notably, the bicyclic products could be conveniently transformed into a diverse range of key structures frequently found in bioactive terpenes, such as Δ6‐protoilludene, cracroson D, and vulgarisins. The steric hindrance between the Ar group of the SPD‐NH2 catalyst and the branched chain of the substrate, hydrogen‐bonding interactions between the N−H of the enamine motif and the C=O of the directing group MQ, and the counterion of the PdII complex were identified as key factors for excellent stereoinduction in this dual catalytic process by density functional theory calculations. A facile enantioselective alkynylation of cyclic ketimines attached to a neutral functional group utilizing the dual Cu(I)‐CPA catalysis is described. The strategy of the alkynylation of 2‐aryl‐3H‐indol‐3‐one directly to chiral propargylic amines containing indolin‐3‐one moiety in good yields and enantioselectivities. Moreover, gram‐scale synthesis of chiral propargylamines based C2‐quaternary indolin‐3‐ones was performed. A Friedel–Crafts reaction of indolizines with 2‐aryl‐3H‐indol‐3‐ones catalyzed by B(C6F5)3 is described. This protocol gives access to indolizine derivatives that are valuable building blocks in synthetic and pharmaceutical chemistry. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions, affording various C2‐quaternary indolin‐3‐ones based on indolizine with high yields and regioselectivities. The invasive plant species, Solidago canadensis, often shares a common mycorrhizal network (CMN) with native plant species in southeast China. We ask whether the transfer of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) among the invasive S. canadensis, the native Kummerowia striata and their CMN could contribute to the invasiveness of S. canadensis.We conducted a microcosm experiment in which a CMN was established on S. canadensis and K. striata. We used 13CO2 pulse‐labelling to quantify the relative contribution of recently fixed C from the two host species to the CMN. We also calculated the relative N distribution to each host species from the CMN.We found that 89% of the recently fixed C in the CMN originated from S. canadensis, while 11% originated from K. striata. We also found that the CMN distributed 77% of the N it absorbed to S. canadensis and 23% to K. striata.Our results suggest that the unequal distribution of N from a CMN to the invasive and native plant species is related to the unequal contribution of C from the plant species. This mechanism could contribute to invasion of native communities by alien species when there is a stoichiometric exchange of limiting nutrients for C, and when alien species contribute more C to the CMN than natives. Background: Predictive biomarkers for oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) immunotherapy are lacking, and immunotherapy resistance remains to be addressed. The role of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in ESCC immune escape and immunotherapy resistance remains to be elucidated. Methods: The tumour‐associated macrophage‐upregulated lncRNAs and the exosomal lncRNAs highly expressed in ESCC immunotherapy nonresponders were identified by lncRNA sequencing and polymerase chain reaction assays. CRISPR‐Cas9 was used to explore the functional roles of the lncRNA. RNA pull‐down, MS2‐tagged RNA affinity purification (MS2‐TRAP) and RNA‐binding protein immunoprecipitation (RIP) were performed to identify lncRNA‐associated proteins and related mechanisms. In vivo, the humanized PBMC (hu‐PBMC) mouse model was established to assess the therapeutic responses of specific lncRNA inhibitors and their combination with programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) monoclonal antibody (mAb). Single‐cell sequencing, flow cytometry, and multiplex fluorescent immunohistochemistry were used to analyze immune cells infiltrating the tumour microenvironment. Results: We identified a lncRNA that is involved in tumour immune evasion and immunotherapy resistance. High LINC02096 (RIME) expression in plasma exosomes correlates with a reduced response to PD‐1 mAb treatment and poor prognosis. Mechanistically, RIME binds to mixed lineage leukaemia protein‐1 (MLL1) and prevents ankyrin repeat and SOCS box containing 2 (ASB2)‐mediated MLL1 ubiquitination, improving the stability of MLL1. RIME‐MLL1 increases H3K4me3 levels in the promoter regions of programmed death‐ligand 1 (PD‐L1) and indoleamine 2,3‐dioxygenase 1 (IDO‐1), constitutively increasing the expression of PD‐L1/IDO‐1 in tumour cells and inhibiting CD8+ T cells infiltration and activation. RIME depletion in huPBMC‐NOG mice significantly represses tumour development and improves the effectiveness of PD‐1 mAb treatment by activating T‐cell‐mediated antitumour immunity. Conclusions: This study reveals that the RIME‐MLL1‐H3K4me3 axis plays a critical role in tumour immunosuppression. Moreover, RIME appears to be a potential prognostic biomarker for immunotherapy and developing drugs that target RIME may be a new therapeutic strategy that overcomes immunotherapy resistance and benefits patients with ESCC. Background: Concealed accessory pathway (AP) may cause atrial ventricular reentrant tachycardia impacting the health of patients. However, it is asymptomatic and undetectable during sinus rhythm. Methods: To detect concealed AP with electrocardiography (ECG) images, we collected normal sinus rhythmic ECG images of concealed AP patients and healthy subjects. All ECG images were randomly allocated to the training and testing datasets, and were used to train and test six popular convolutional neural networks from ImageNet pre‐training and random initialization, respectively. Results: We screened 152 ECG recordings in concealed AP group and 600 ECG recordings in control group. There were no statistically significant differences in ECG characteristics between control group and concealed AP group in terms of PR interval and QRS interval. However, the QT interval and QTc were slightly higher in control group than in concealed AP group. In the testing set, ResNet26, SE‐ResNet50, MobileNetV3_large_100, and DenseNet169 achieved a sensitivity rate more than 87.0% with a specificity rate above 98.0%. And models trained from random initialization showed similar performance and convergence with models trained from ImageNet pre‐training. Conclusion: Our study suggests that deep learning could be an effective way to predict concealed AP with normal sinus rhythmic ECG images. Background: This article aimed to study the adjustment and adaptation of resting systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DPB), oxygen saturation (SpO2), hemoglobin concentration ([Hb]), and heart rate (HR) in low‐altitude migrants during a 1‐year stay at high altitude. Materials and Methods: Our study enrolled 35 young migrants who were exposed to a hypoxia environment at 5380 m altitude on the Qinghai Tibetan Plateau between June 21, 2017, and June 16, 2018. We set 14‐time points (the 1st–10th, 20th, 30th, 180th, and 360th day after arriving at 5380 m) for obtaining the measurements of resting SBP, DBP, HR, SpO2, and [Hb] and compared them with the control values recorded prior to migration. Variables with continuous data were summarized as means (SD). One‐way repeated measures ANOVA without assuming sphericity was carried out to test whether the mean values (SBP, DBP, HR, SpO2, and [Hb]) on different days were different significantly. Furthermore, Dunnett's multiple comparisons test was carried out to determine the time points whose values were significantly different from the control values. Results: SBP and DBP were continually increasing within d1‐3 and peaked on the 3rd day, then steadily declined from d3 to d30. SBP fell back to the control values on d10 (p > 0.05), and DBP fell back to the control values on d20 (p > 0.05). A significant decline occurred on d180 (p < 0.05). Both SBP and DBP were lower than the control values on d180 (p < 0.05), and this trend was maintained to d360. There were similar characteristics of HR and BP in the time course at HA. HR on d1‐3 was increasing (p < 0.05) compared to the control values, after which it fell back to the control values on d180 (p > 0.05), and this trend was maintained to d360. SpO2 was the lowest on d1 and lower than the control value throughout the study at HA (p < 0.05). [Hb] increased after long‐term exposure (180 and 360 days) to HA (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Our study continuously monitored lowlanders at 5380 m in Tibet, and is perhaps the only longitudinal study of migrants conducted at an altitude above 5000 m during a 1‐year period. Our study provides new information on the adjustment and adaptation of [Hb], SpO2, SBP, DBP, and HR in high‐altitude plateau migrants during a 360‐day stay at an altitude of 5380 m. Selective separation of industrial important C8, C6 and C3 hydrocarbon pairs by physisorbents can greatly reduce the energy intensity related to the currently used cryogenic distillation techniques. The achievement of size‐sieving based on carbonaceous materials is desirable, but commonly hindered by the random structure of carbons often with a broad pore size distribution. Herein, a pH‐regulated pre‐condensation strategy was introduced to control the carbon pore architecture by the sp2/sp3 hybridization of precursor. The lower pH value during pre‐condensation of glucose facilitates the growth of aromatic nanodomains, rearrangement of stacked layers and a concomitant transition from sp3‐C to sp2‐C. The subsequent pyrolysis endows the pore size manipulated from 6.8 to 4.8 Å and narrowly distributed over a range of 0.2 Å. The refined pores enable effective size‐sieving of C8, C6 and C3 hydrocarbon pairs with high separation factor of 1.9 and 4.9 for C8 xylene (X) isomers para‐X/meta‐X and para‐X/ortho‐X, respectively, 5.1 for C6 alkane isomers n‐hexane/3‐methylpentane, and 22.0 for C3H6/C3H8. The excellent separation performance based‐on size exclusion effect is validated by static adsorption isotherms and dynamic breakthrough experiments. This synthesis strategy provides a means of exploring advanced carbonaceous materials with controlled hybridized structure and pore sizes for challenging separation needs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During the preoxidation process of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, the diffusion behavior of oxygen from skin to core can lead to the formation of radially uneven structure of fibers, which affects the mechanical properties of subsequent PAN carbon fibers. Here we examine the effect of oxygen content on the subsequent structure evolution of fibers with different preoxidation structure, by using 13C Solid‐state NMR analysis (13C‐NMR), optical density characterization, differential scanning calorimetry analysis, and thermalgravimetric analysis. The results show that increasing the oxygen content during the subsequent heat treatment can effectively reduce the radial structure difference of fiber, its efficiency is related to the preoxidation degree of fibers. For fibers with lower preoxidation degree, namely less heat treatment work (W), the radial structure difference disappears when the oxygen content reaches 29%. Further study shows that the improvement of radial structure of preoxidized fibers improved fiber thermal stability, its efficiency is also related to the W of fibers; when the W of fibers is 5, the carbonization yield at 800°C increased from 56.79% to 62.61%, which is 10.25% higher; when the W of fibers is 20, under the same oxygen content range, the carbonization yield increased from 68.97% to 69.60%, which is only 0.913% higher. One of the key factors limiting the mechanical properties of carbon fibers is the formation of radially nonuniform structure of fibers during the preoxidation process. Increasing the oxygen content for fibers with different structure during the preoxidation process can effectively reduce the fiber radial nonuniformity and improve thermal stability, its efficiency is related to the degree of fiber preoxidation. Background: Ultrasound‐guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has been used in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) who refuse surgery or active surveillance. However, the long‐term outcomes are still limited. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of RFA for solitary T1N0M0 PTC in a large cohort over a more than 5‐year follow‐up period. Methods: This retrospective study included 358 patients with solitary T1N0M0 PTC who were treated with RFA and followed for at least 5 years. The bipolar RFA procedure was performed using hydrodissection technique, transisthmic approach, and moving‐shot technique. The primary outcomes were disease progression, including lymph node metastasis (LNM), recurrent tumor, persistent tumor, and distant metastasis. The secondary outcomes were volume reduction rate, complete disappearance rate, complications, and delayed surgery. Results: During a mean follow‐up period of 75.5 ± 9.7 months, the overall disease progression was 5.0%. The incidence of LNM, recurrent tumor, and persistent tumor was 1.4%, 3.1%, and 0.6%, respectively. There were no significant differences in the disease progression (5.0% vs. 5.5%, p = 1.000), LNM (1.3% vs. 1.8%, p =.568), recurrent tumor (3.3% vs. 1.8%, p =.872), persistent tumors (0.3% vs. 1.8%, p =.284), and 5‐year recurrence‐free survival rates (95.4% vs. 96.4%, p =.785) in the T1a and T1b groups. Volume reduction rate was 100.0 ± 0.3%, with 96.9% of tumors disappearing. No complications occurred. No patients underwent delayed surgery because of anxiety. Conclusions: RFA is an effective and safe alternative for patients with T1N0M0 PTC and can offer a minimally invasive curative option for patients who refuse surgery or active surveillance. Minimizing reverse bias dark current density (Jdark) while retaining high external quantum efficiency is crucial for promising applications of perovskite photodiodes, and it remains challenging to elucidate the ultimate origin of Jdark. It is demonstrated in this study that the surface defects induced by iodine vacancies are the main cause of Jdark in perovskite photodiodes. In a targeted way, the surface defects are thoroughly passivated through a simple treatment with butylamine hydroiodide to form ultrathin 2D perovskite on its 3D bulk. In the passivated perovskite photodiodes, Jdark as low as 3.78 × 10‐10 A cm‐2 at ‐0.1 V is achieved, and the photoresponse is also enhanced, especially at low light intensities. A combination of the two improvements realizes high specific detectivity up to 1.46 × 1012 Jones in the devices. It is clarified that the trap states induced by the surface defects can not only raise the generation‐recombination current density associated with the Shockley–Read–Hall mechanisms in the dark (increasing Jdark), but also provide additional carrier recombination paths under light illumination (decreasing photocurrent). The critical role of surface defects on Jdark of perovskite photodiodes suggests that making trap‐free perovskite thin films, for example, by fine preparation and/or surface engineering, is a top priority for high‐performance perovskite photodiodes. Mental time travel (MTT) is the ability to project oneself to the past or future through mental simulation. Moreover, MTT can involve self‐related or other‐related information. This study aimed to compare MTT in individuals with high levels of schizotypy and that in their counterparts with low levels of schizotypy. Participants with high (n = 37) and low (n = 37) levels of schizotypy completed an MTT task with four conditions [2 (Condition: self vs. other) × 2 (Time orientation: past vs. future)]. They were required to recall past events that had happened to themselves or to a non‐intimate person, and to imagine possible future events that might happen to themselves or to a non‐intimate person, related to cue words. Outcome measures included specificity, vividness, sense of experience, emotional valence, emotional intensity, proportion of first‐person visual perspective in events, and difficulty in event generation. A 2 (Group: high vs. low levels of schizotypy) × 2 (Condition) × 2 (Time orientation) mixed analysis of variance was conducted on each index. Results showed that self‐related MTT was more specific than other‐related MTT in low levels of schizotypy participants but not in high levels of schizotypy participants. Participants with a high level of schizotypy reported fewer specific events, and reported events with lower vividness and positive emotion than did those with a low level of schizotypy. Self‐related MTT showed higher levels of phenomenological characteristics than did other‐related MTT. In conclusion, individuals with a high level of schizotypy have altered MTT, and cannot benefit from the self‐advantage effect on the specificity of MTT. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The performance of fiber‐reinforced composites is not only determined by their constituents, but also by the spatial distribution of inclusions. The traditional random distribution algorithm only considers the randomness of its relative position, and every newly generated fiber has to be checked with all the existing fibers, which requires a large amount of calculation. In this paper, inspired by the spreading process that the fibers are not arranged randomly, but the forces acting on the upper and lower rows of fibers. A random fiber distribution algorithm based on partition randomness is proposed, and a microscopic model of in‐plane fibers with random distribution is established. The maximum volume fraction of fibers generated by the algorithm is 75%, and the generation time is less than 20s. Statistical characterization and finite element analysis of the structure generated by the algorithm are compared with the experimental data to verify the randomness and effectiveness of fibers. The algorithm overcomes the jamming limit of the traditional hard‐core method, and can efficiently generate random microstructure models with different volume fractions, which can be a promising alternative for modeling and analysis of unidirectional fiber‐reinforced composites. In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in exploring coherence measures and correlation measures to characterize topological quantum phase transitions (TQPTs). Here, motivated by the continued push in this direction, the steered quantum coherence (SQC) in the extended XY model is studied to analyze its capability in characterizing TQPTs. It is shown that the first derivative of SQC succeeds in signaling different critical points of TQPTs.
