In the context of China's "dual carbon" goal, emissions of air pollutants are expected to significantly decrease in the future. Thus, the direct climate effects of black carbon (BC) aerosols in East Asia are investigated under this goal using an updated regional climate and chemistry model. The simulated annual average BC concentration over East Asia is approximately 1.29 μg/m3 in the last decade. Compared to those in 2010–2020, both the BC column burden and instantaneous direct radiative forcing in East Asia decrease by more than 55% and 80%, respectively, in the carbon peak year (2030s) and the carbon neutrality year (2060s). Conversely, the BC effective radiative forcing (ERF) and regional climate responses to BC exhibit substantial nonlinearity to emission reduction, possibly resulting from different adjustments of thermal‐dynamic fields and clouds from BC‐radiation interactions. The regional mean BC ERF at the tropopause over East Asia is approximately +1.11 W/m2 in 2010–2020 while negative in the 2060s. BC‐radiation interactions in the present‐day impose a significant annual mean cooling of −0.2 to −0.5 K in central China but warming +0.3 K in the Tibetan Plateau. As China's BC emissions decline, surface temperature responses show a mixed picture compared to 2010–2020, with more cooling in eastern China and Tibet of −0.2 to −0.3 K in the 2030s, but more warming in central China of approximately +0.3 K by the 2060s. The Indian BC might play a more important role in East Asian climate with reduction of BC emissions in China. Phosphorus (P)‐hyperaccumulators for phytoextraction from P‐polluted areas generally show rapid growth and accumulate large amounts of P without any toxicity symptom, which depends on a range of physiological processes and gene expression patterns that have never been explored. We investigated growth, leaf element concentrations, P fractions, photosynthetic traits, and leaf metabolome and transcriptome response in amphibious P‐hyperaccumulators, Polygonum hydropiper and P. lapathifolium, to high‐P exposure (5 mmol L−1), with 0.05 mmol L−1 as the control. Under high‐P exposure, both species demonstrated good growth, allocating more P to metabolite P and inorganic P (Pi) accompanied by high potassium and calcium. The expression of a cluster of unigenes associated with photosynthesis was maintained or increased in P. lapathifolium, explaining the increase in net photosynthetic rate and the rapid growth under high‐P exposure. Metabolites of trehalose metabolism, including trehalose 6‐phosphate and trehalose, were sharply increased in both species by the high‐P exposure, in line with the enhanced expression of associated unigenes, indicating that trehalose metabolic pathway was closely related to high‐P tolerance. These findings elucidated the physiological and molecular responses involved in the photosynthesis and trehalose metabolism in P‐hyperaccumulators to high‐P exposure, and provides potential regulatory pathways to improve the P‐phytoextraction capability. Pollen can serve as an effective ice‐nuclei (IN), altering cloud microphysical and radiative properties, thus precipitation and cloud life cycles. Here, a nationwide pollen emission inventory with a horizontal resolution of 5 km was established based on a parameterization scheme of mass balance of pollen grain fluxes surrounding the plant crowns, and using satellite observational data sets (including leaf area index and fractional vegetation cover) as well as pollen emission rates. The potential emission is then implemented in RegCM‐pollen model which treated pollen as aerosol tracers. Besides, pollen‐IN parameterization schemes were incorporated in RegCM‐pollen to simulate the interactions between pollen and ice clouds. Investigations show that the mean annual pollen emission in China is 2.65 × 107 grains m−2 yr−1, mainly distributed in the south and northeast of China. The IN magnitude is mainly determined by a combination of temperature and pollen concentration. Notably, an increasing number concentration of pollen grains produces opposite effects in Southern China (SC) and Northern China (NC). The weakened upward motion and vertical transport of water vapor in NC made ice clouds hardly form, resulting in cloud forcing (CF) of +0.86 W/m2. In contrast, it generates a CF of −0.84 W/m2 in SC mainly owing to expanded cloud cover. The changes in shortwave radiative forcing is more significant compared to longwave radiative forcing in the two regions. At the surface, the net radiative forcing in NC is +0.74 W/m2, while it is a −0.51 W/m2 in SC. Among them, downward shortwave radiative forcing is approximately twice that of upward longwave radiative forcing in SC and 1.4 times in NC. Surface temperature shows rising over NC, ranging from 0.05 to 0.25 K. In SC, it is primarily decreasing by −0.12 to −0.03 K. The pollen‐IN effect also causes a decline of precipitation in NC (−0.17 mm/day) and a rise in SC (0.09 mm/day). Our results suggest that the pollen effect on ice clouds is complex, yet significant in understanding its impact on radiation and climate of the atmosphere. Methane (CH4) plays a crucial role in shaping terrestrial ecosystems due to its radiative effect and atmospheric photochemical reactions. In this study, we employed an enhanced regional climate‐chemistry‐ecosystem model (RegCM‐Chem‐YIBs) to comprehensively evaluate the impacts of both radiative and chemical effects of CH4 on terrestrial carbon fluxes across the East, South, and Southeast Asia (EA, SA, SEA) during the year 2010. Our findings showed that the radiative effects of CH4 yielded a positive influence on carbon fluxes. Specifically, the EA region experienced a significant increase in the gross primary production (GPP), reaching up to 0.515 Pg C Yr−1. In comparison, the SEA region exhibited a decrease in the net ecosystem exchange (NEE) of approximately −0.066 Pg C Yr−1. Further analysis revealed that alterations in radiation and vapor pressure deficit (VPD) were dominant drivers. Conversely, the chemical effects of CH4 lead to heightened regional surface ozone (O3) concentrations (2.704–3.115 ppb) and generate a negative response in carbon fluxes. Within the SEA region, GPP observed a decrease of up to −0.144 Pg C Yr−1, while NEE displayed a significant increase of 0.022 Pg C Yr−1. Taken together, the combined radiative and chemical effects of CH4 indicated a positive impact on regional carbon fluxes, with GPP increasing by 0.632 Pg C Yr−1 and NEE decreasing by −0.09 Pg C Yr−1. This holistic perspective is crucial for comprehending the intricate interactions linking climate change, atmospheric pollution, and the global carbon cycle. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly lethal malignant tumor, and the current non‐invasive diagnosis method based on serum markers, such as α‐fetoprotein (AFP), and des‐γ‐carboxy‐prothrombin (DCP), has limited efficacy in detecting it. Therefore, there is a critical need to develop novel biomarkers for HCC. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of exosomes as biomarkers. To enhance exosome enrichment, a silicon dioxide (SiO2) microsphere‐coated three‐dimensional (3D) hierarchical porous chip, named a SiO2‐chip is designed. The features of the chip, including its continuous porous 3D scaffold, large surface area, and nanopores between the SiO2 microspheres, synergistically improved the exosome capture efficiency. Exosomes from both non‐HCC and HCC subjects are enriched using an SiO2‐chip and performed RNA sequencing to identify HCC‐related long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the exosomes. This study analysis reveales that LUCAT‐1 and EGFR‐AS‐1 are two HCC‐related lncRNAs. To further detect dual lncRNAs in exosomes, quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (qRT‐PCR) is employed. The integration of dual lncRNAs with AFP and DCP significantly improves the diagnostic accuracy. Furthermore, the integration of dual lncRNAs with DCP effectively monitors the prognosis of patients with HCC and detects disease progression. Background: Treacher Collins Ι syndrome (TCS1, OMIM:154500) is an autosomal dominant disease with a series of clinical manifestations such as craniofacial dysplasia including eye and ear abnormalities, small jaw deformity, cleft lip, as well as repeated respiratory tract infection and conductive hearing loss. Two cases of Treacher Collins syndrome with TCOF1(OMIM:606847) gene variations were reported in the article, with clinical characteristics, gene variants and the etiology. Methods: The clinical data of two patients with Treacher Collins syndrome caused by TCOF1 gene variation were retrospectively analyzed. The whole exome sequencing (WES) was performed to detect the pathogenic variants of TCOF1 gene in the patients, and the verification of variants were confirmed by Sanger sequencing. Results: Proband 1 presented with bilateral craniofacial deformities, conductive hearing loss and recurrent respiratory tract infection. Proband 2 showed bilateral craniofacial malformations with cleft palate, which harbored similar manifestations in her family. She died soon after birth due to dyspnea and feeding difficulties. WES identified two novel pathogenic variants of TCOF1 gene in two probands, each with one variant. According to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, the heterozygous variation NM_001371623.1: c.877del (p. Ala293Profs*34) of TCOF1 gene was detected in Proband 1, which was evaluated as a likely pathogenic (LP) and de novo variant. Another variant found in Proband 2 was NM_001135243.1: c.1660_1661del (p. D554Qfs*3) heterozygous variation, which was evaluated as a pathogenic variation and the variant inherited from the mother. To date, the two variants have not been reported before. Conclusion: Our study found two novel pathogenic variants of TCOF1 gene and clarified the etiology of Treacher Collins syndrome. We also enriched the phenotypic spectrum of Treacher Collins syndrome and TCOF1 gene variation spectrum in the Chinese population, and provided the basis for clinical diagnosis, treatment and genetic counseling. Deltamethrin (Del), a widely administered pyrethroid insecticide, has been established as a common contaminant of the freshwater environment and detected in many freshwater ecosystems. In this study, we investigated the changes in brain transcriptome and metabolome of crucian carp after exposure to 0.6 μg/L Del for 28 days. Elevated MDA levels and inhibition of SOD activity indicate damage to the antioxidant system. Moreover, a total of 70 differential metabolites (DMs) were identified using the liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry, including 32 upregulated and 38 downregulated DMs in the Del‐exposed group. The DMs associated with chronic Del exposure were enriched in steroid hormone biosynthesis, fatty acid metabolism, and glycerophospholipid metabolism for prostaglandin G2, 5‐oxoeicosatetraenoic acid, progesterone, androsterone, etiocholanolone, and hydrocortisone. Transcriptomics analysis revealed that chronic Del exposure caused lipid metabolism disorder, endocrine disruption, and proinflammatory immune response by upregulating the pla2g4, cox2, log5, ptgis, lcn, and cbr expression. Importantly, the integrative analysis of transcriptomics and metabolomics indicated that the arachidonic acid metabolism pathway and steroid hormone biosynthesis were decisive processes in the brain tissue of crucian carp after Del exposure. Furthermore, Del exposure perturbed the tight junction, HIF‐1 signaling pathway, and thyroid hormone signaling pathway. Chronic pain is the key manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis. Neuroinflammation in the spinal cord drives central sensitization and chronic pain. Ferroptosis has potentially important roles in the occurrence of neuroinflammation and chronic pain. In the current study, mouse model of collagen‐induced arthritis was established by intradermal injection of type II collagen in complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) solution. CFA inducement resulted in swollen paw and ankle, mechanical and spontaneous pain, and impaired motor coordination. The spinal inflammation was triggered, astrocytes were activated, and increased NLRP3‐mediated inflammatory signal was found in CFA spinal cord. Oxidative stress and ferroptosis in the spinal cord were manifested. Meanwhile, enhancive spinal GSK‐3β activity and abnormal phosphorylated Drp1 were observed. To investigate the potential therapeutic options for arthritic pain, mice were intraperitoneally injected with AB4 for three consecutive days. AB4 treatment reduced pain sensitivity and increased the motor coordination. In the spinal cord, AB4 treatment inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome‐mediated inflammatory response, increased antioxidation, decreased mitochondrial reactive oxygen species and ferroptosis. Furthermore, AB4 decreased GSK‐3β activity by binding with GSK‐3β through five electrovalent bonds. Our findings indicated that AB treatment relieves arthritis pain by inhibiting GSK‐3β activation, increasing antioxidant capability, reducing Drp1‐mediated mitochondrial dysfunction and suppressing neuroinflammation. Impaired branched‐chain amino acid (BCAA) catabolism has recently been implicated in the development of mechanical pain, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are unclear. Here, we report that defective BCAA catabolism in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons sensitizes mice to mechanical pain by increasing lactate production and expression of the mechanotransduction channel Piezo2. In high‐fat diet‐fed obese mice, we observed the downregulation of PP2Cm, a key regulator of the BCAA catabolic pathway, in DRG neurons. Mice with conditional knockout of PP2Cm in DRG neurons exhibit mechanical allodynia under normal or SNI‐induced neuropathic injury conditions. Furthermore, the VAS scores in the plasma of patients with peripheral neuropathic pain are positively correlated with BCAA contents. Mechanistically, defective BCAA catabolism in DRG neurons promotes lactate production through glycolysis, which increases H3K18la modification and drives Piezo2 expression. Inhibition of lactate production or Piezo2 silencing attenuates the pain phenotype of knockout mice in response to mechanical stimuli. Therefore, our study demonstrates a causal role of defective BCAA catabolism in mechanical pain by enhancing metabolite‐mediated epigenetic regulation. Dispersing metal‐organic framework (MOF) solids in stable colloids is crucial for their availability and processibility. Herein, we report a crown ether surface coordination approach for functionalizing the surface‐exposed metal sites of MOF particles with amphiphilic carboxylated crown ether (CEC). The surface‐bound crown ethers significantly improve MOF solvation without compromising the accessible voids. We demonstrate that CEC‐coated MOFs exhibit exceptional colloidal dispersibility and stability in 11 distinct solvents and six polymer matrices with a wide range of polarities. The MOF‐CEC can be instantaneously suspended in immiscible two‐phase solvents as an effective phase‐transfer catalyst and can form various uniform membranes with enhanced adsorption and separation performance, which highlights the effectiveness of crown ether coating. Research Summary: Our understanding of how immigration enforcement impacts crime has been informed exclusively by data from police crime statistics. This study complements existing research by using longitudinal multilevel data from the National Crime Victimization Survey for 2005–2014 to simultaneously assess the impact of the three predominant immigration policies that have been implemented in local communities. The results indicate that the activation of Secure Communities and 287(g) task force agreements significantly increased violent victimization risk among Latinos, whereas they showed no evident impact on victimization risk among non‐Latino Whites and Blacks. The activation of 287(g) jail enforcement agreements and anti‐detainer policies had no significant impact on violent victimization risk during the period. Policy Implications: Contrary to their stated purpose of enhancing public safety, our results show that the Secure Communities program and 287(g) task force agreements did not reduce crime, but instead eroded security in U.S. communities by increasing the likelihood that Latinos experienced violent victimization. These results support the Federal government's ending of 287(g) task force agreements and its more recent move to end the Secure Communities program. Mutations in the PPIL1 gene have been linked to type 14 pontocerebellar hypoplasia (PCH14); however, prenatal clinical characteristics of PCH14 caused by mutations in the PPIL1 gene have not been reported. This study reports the first prenatal case of PCH14 diagnosed by whole‐exome sequencing (WES). Two fetuses with severe microcephaly and cerebral dysplasia, along with their parents, underwent WES. The effects of the discovered PPIL1 variants on PPIL1 protein function were investigated using bioinformatics tools. WES revealed two compound heterozygous missense mutations in PPIL1, c.376C > G (p.His126Asp) and c.392G > T (p.Arg131Leu), inherited from the mother and father, respectively. The co‐segregation of PPIL1 mutations in this family was confirmed using Sanger sequencing, identifying two PCH14‐affected fetuses. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that these mutations could disrupt the formation of hydrogen bonds, altering the structural stability of the PPIL1 protein. This study is the first to define the clinical characteristics of PCH14 during pregnancy and reports a novel heterozygous missense variant, expanding the PCH14‐related mutational spectrum of PPIL1. With the widespread use of radars, different types of radar emitters are being used in the real electromagnetic environment. Radar emitter identification (REI) is an important technique in spectrum management. Methods based on deep learning have been successful in REI. However, they are difficult to be updated with signals from newly available categories. Additionally, two issues that must be considered in a real REI task. First, signals from new unknown radar emitters may appear in the identification stage. Hence the model used in REI must have an open‐set recognition capability. Second, obtaining numerous labelled samples in time are difficult in the incremental stage of the model. Thus, it is important to keep the model performance stable under conditions of small samples. To solve these problems, a one‐dimensional neural network is designed combined with ArcFace loss in the initial training stage to reserve more embedding space for future new classes, thereby facilitating the update of the model and open‐set recognition. An unbiased cosine similarity classifier was adopted, and the historical categories were memorised by their prototypes. When a new category is added, the prototype was calculated and the classifier weights were updated. The proposed method can identify unknown classes and add them to the model when given new labels, thereby resulting in an increase of the model's identifiable types. Background: Allergen source‐derived proteases are a critical factor in the formation and development of asthma. The cysteine protease activity of house dust mite (HDM) disrupts the epithelial barrier function. The expression of cystatin SN (CST1) is elevated in asthma epithelium. CST1 inhibits the cysteine protease activity. We aimed to elucidate the role of epithelium‐derived CST1 in the development of asthma caused by HDM. Methods: CST1 protein levels in sputum supernatants and serum of patients with asthma and healthy volunteers were measured by ELISA. The ability of CST1 protein to suppress HDM‐induced bronchial epithelial barrier function was examined in vitro. The effects of exogenous CST1 protein on abrogating HDM‐induced epithelial barrier function and inflammation were examined in mice in vivo. Results: CST1 protein levels were higher in sputum supernatants (142.4 ± 8.95 vs 38.87 ± 6.85 ng/mL, P < 0.0001) and serum (1129 ± 73.82 vs 703.1 ± 57.02 pg/mL, P = 0.0035) in patients with asthma than in healthy subjects. The levels were significantly higher in patients with not well‐ and very poorly controlled asthma than those with well‐controlled asthma. Sputum and serum CST1 protein levels were negatively correlated with lung function in asthma. CST1 protein levels were significantly lower in the serum of HDM‐specific IgE (sIgE)‐positive asthmatics than in sIgE‐negative asthmatics. The HDM‐induced epithelial barrier function disruption was suppressed by recombinant human CST1 protein (rhCST1) in vitro and in vivo. Conclusion: Our data indicated that human CST1 protein suppresses asthma symptoms by protecting the asthmatic bronchial epithelial barrier through inhibiting allergenic protease activity. In recent years, the increased frequency of natural hazards has led to more disruptions in power grids, potentially causing severe infrastructural damages and cascading failures. Therefore, it is important that the power system resilience be improved by implementing new technology and utilizing optimization methods. This paper proposes a data‐driven spatial distributionally robust optimization (DS‐DRO) model to provide an optimal plan to install and dispatch distributed energy resources (DERs) against the uncertain impact of natural hazards such as typhoons. We adopt an accurate spatial model to evaluate the failure probability with regard to system components based on wind speed. We construct a moment‐based ambiguity set of the failure distribution based on historical typhoon data. A two‐stage DS‐DRO model is then formulated to obtain an optimal resilience enhancement strategy. We employ the combination of dual reformulation and a column‐and‐constraints generation algorithm, and showcase the effectiveness of the proposed approach with a modified IEEE 13‐node reliability test system projected in the Hong Kong region. This study implements a semi‐empirical parameterization regarding the impacts of ozone exposure on photosynthesis rate and stomatal resistance into the Noah‐Multi‐parameterization (Noah‐MP) dynamic vegetation module of Weather Research and Forecasting with Chemistry (WRF/Chem) model. The gaseous dry deposition and biogenic emission algorithms are also coupled with Noah‐MP to enable the ozone‐vegetation coupling. This model reproduces the near‐surface meteorology, air pollutants and vegetation physiology in China, with a spatial correlation coefficient more than 0.9 and normalized mean bias from −0.19 to 0.42. The optimized model also improves the simulations of vegetation physiology (e.g., a reduction of model error by 18%–32%) and ozone dry deposition velocity. The elevated ozone damages plant photosynthesis, and decreases the national gross primary productivity (−28.85%) and leaf area index (−17.41%). The plant transpiration and surface heat flux, as well as air temperature (e.g., up to +0.16°C in summer) and other associated meteorological variables are also altered, finally contributing to 0.49 μg m−3 increase of surface ozone. Otherwise, the suppressed vegetation LAI and biogenic emissions, as well as the lower dry deposition velocity in response to the ozone‐vegetation coupling contribute to the remaining ozone changes by −1.07 μg m−3 and 1.18 μg m−3, jointly constituting the complicated ozone‐vegetation feedbacks on air quality. Our results highlight the necessity of including the ozone‐vegetation coupling in models for reliable prediction of regional climate and air quality. The high value‐added application of lignin is of great significance for the effective utilization of biomass and environmental protection. In this work, TiO2‐loaded lignin‐derived carbon nanofibers (TiO2@LCNFs) are developed by the process of electrospinning, per‐oxidation, and carbonization. The effects of TiO2 content, carbonization temperature, initial RhB concentration, and solution pH value on the photocatalytic efficiency are systematically studied. Up to 86% photocatalytic efficiency and excellent cycling stability of the TiO2@LCNFs to rhodamine B under optimized conditions are achieved. The superior catalytic property of the TiO2@LCNFs can be attributed to the synergistic effect of the uniform distribution of TiO2 on the fiber surface and the good electrical conductivity of LCNFs. Summary: This paper investigates the dynamic event‐triggered predictive control problem for discrete‐time networked control systems under deception attacks. A new dynamic event‐triggered scheme is proposed for discrete‐time networked predictive control systems to reduce the data transmission. The feature of the dynamic event‐triggered scheme is that the triggering threshold is adjusted dynamically. The Luenberger observer is provided to estimate the output measurements. The networked predictive control method is used to compensate for the time delay. Rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are always harvested with large numbers of white blood cells (WBCs) by current CTC isolation techniques, which influences the accuracy of CTC‐related gene and protein analysis. Therefore, it is very urgent to develop a method for efficient isolation of CTCs with high purity. In this work, we fabricated a reversibly assembled interface by layer‐by‐layer assembly of biotinylated poly‐(L‐lysine‐graft‐ethylene glycol) (PLL‐g‐PEG‐biotin), streptavidin, and CTC‐specific antibody on a three‐dimensional conductive scaffold, and further embedded it into a customized microchip for CTC capture. The assembled multilayers increased the roughness of the scaffold, which improved the capture efficiency. Importantly, the PLL‐g‐PEG‐biotin covalently coupled with CTCs could be detached from the scaffold by electrostatic repulsion, and the released CTCs could be recaptured on the conductive scaffold via electrostatic attraction while the WBCs were continuously drifted away. This reversible capture and release strategy significantly improved the purity of CTCs, and pure CTCs were obtained from cancer patients' blood samples for gene mutation assay, which will be of great significance for assisting cancer diagnosis and treatment in a noninvasive way. Radar signal deinterleaving is used to separate interleaved pulse streams in the electronic support measure (ESM) systems. The histogram methods based on the difference in time of arrival (TOA) are more mature in engineering applications than other methods because of their more effortless implementation. In the increasingly complex electronic battlefield, pulse repetition interval (PRI) jitter, and pulse missing are inevitable in the interleaved pulse stream. The TOA differences of pulse trains with PRI jitter distributes in multiple adjacent PRI bins, which results in the significant reduction of the corresponding histogram value. Furthermore, the histogram values of real PRIs vary with pulse missing, which indicates that the histogram lacks robustness to pulse missing. First‐order difference curve based on sorted TOA difference sequence, denoted as FDC‐DTOA, is proposed in this paper to overcome the shortcomings mentioned above. In this method, multi‐order TOA differences are calculated and then sorted in ascending order. Then, FDC‐DTOA is obtained after a first‐order backward difference operation. Finally, an adaptive threshold is applied to FDC‐DTOA to extract candidate PRIs. Oxaliplatin (OXA) is a common chemotherapy drug for colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. The anticancer effect of OXA is often accompanied by neurotoxicity and acute and chronic neuropathy. The symptoms present as paresthesia and pain which adversely affect patients' quality of life. Herein, five consecutive intraperitoneal injections of OXA at a dose of 4 mg/kg were used to mimic chemotherapy. OXA administration induced mechanical allodynia, activated spinal astrocytes, and increased inflammatory response. To develop an effective therapeutic measure for OXA‐induced neuropathic pain, emodin was intrathecally injected into OXA rats. Emodin developed an analgesic effect, as demonstrated by a significant increase in the paw withdrawal threshold of OXA rats. Moreover, emodin treatment reduced the pro‐inflammatory cytokines (tumor necrosis factor‐α and interleukin‐1β) which upregulated in OXA rats. Furthermore, autodock data showed four hydrogen bonds were formed between emodin and cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX2), and emodin treatment decreased COX2 expression in OXA rats. Cell research further proved that emodin suppressed nuclear factor κB (NF‐κB)‐mediated inflammatory signal and reactive oxygen species level. Taken together, emodin reduced spinal COX2/NF‐κB mediated inflammatory signal and oxidative stress in the spinal cord of OXA rats which consequently relieved OXA‐induced neuropathic pain. Early in the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19), face masks were used extensively by the general public in several Asian countries. The lower transmission rate of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) in Asian countries compared with Western countries suggested that the wider community use of face masks has the potential to decrease transmission of SARS‐CoV‐2. A risk assessment model named Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, Recovered (SEIR) model is used to quantitatively evaluate the potential impact of community face masks on SARS‐CoV‐2 reproduction number (R0) and peak number of infectious persons. For a simulated population of one million, the model showed a reduction in R0 of 49% and 50% when 60% and 80% of the population wore masks, respectively. Moreover, we present a modified model that considers the effect of mask‐wearing after community vaccination. Interestingly mask‐wearing still provided a considerable benefit in lowering the number of infectious individuals. Exponential‐dispersion (ED) process has been recently introduced and demonstrated as a promising degradation model, which can include classical Wiener, gamma, and inverse Gaussian (IG) processes as special cases. However, most related studies are based on offline and point estimation methods, which limit their capability for uncertainty quantification and online update inference. In this paper, nonlinear ED process models equipped with Bayesian offline and online inference methods are presented. Tweedie ED process models are studied for degradation analysis with accelerated factors and unit‐to‐unit variability. Bayesian offline method based on NO‐U‐Turn sampler (NUTS) algorithm and Bayesian online method based on particle filter are developed, respectively. The offline method is presented to enhance the ED process based degradation analysis with uncertainty quantification. The online method is developed for the applications with limited storage and computing resources, for which degradation observations are analyzed on‐the‐fly with improved efficiency. A temporary road composed of traffic cones is an indispensable practical scene for the realization of automatic driving technology. However, the detection of traffic cones is a challenging issue because of their small volume and unfixed position. This work proposes a novel method that fuses colour and depth image information for traffic cone detection. Traffic cones are captured by a special machine vision system consisting of two monochrome cameras for cone distance perception and two colour cameras for cone colour acquisition. Via the YOLOv4 algorithm based on the Darknet platform and a detection result matching algorithm, the position of the traffic cone can be obtained and path planning can be performed. The results of experiments show that the proposed method can recognize red, blue, and yellow traffic cones in colour images with an average detection time of 35.46 ms and respective accuracies of 97.51%, 98.63%, and 97.29%. Compared with the previous traffic cone detection research, the proposed algorithm was found to exhibit advantages in small target sensitivity and overall detection accuracy in both static and dynamic experiments. Bone is the preferential site of metastasis for breast cancer. Invasion of cancer cells induces the destruction of bone tissue and damnification of peripheral nerves and consequently induced central sensitization which contributes to severe pain. Herein, cancer induced bone pain (CIBP) rats exhibited destruction of tibia, mechanical allodynia and spinal inflammation. Inflammatory response mainly mediated by astrocyte and microglia in central nervous system. Our immunofluorescence analysis revealed activation of spinal astrocytes and microglia in CIBP rats. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations of mitochondrial outer membrane disruption and cristae damage in spinal mitochondria of CIBP rats. Proteomics analysis identified abnormal expression of proteins related to mitochondrial organization and function. Intrathecally, injection of GSK‐3β activity inhibitor TDZD‐8 significantly attenuated Drp1‐mediated mitochondrial fission and recovered mitochondrial function. Inhibition of GSK‐3β activity also suppressed NLRP3 inflammasome cascade and consequently decreased mechanical pain sensitivity of CIBP rats. For cell research, TDZD‐8 treatment significantly reversed TNF‐α induced mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) deficiency and high mitochondrial reactive oxygen species level. Exploring precious‐metal‐free catalysts for efficient photocatalytic H2 evolution is highly desirable but still challenging. Herein, a novel 2D/2D Co‐ZIF‐9/Ti3C2 composite was fabricated by a facile electrostatic self‐assembly strategy. Owing to higher flux of photogenerated electron‐holes and lower rate of recombination, the resultant composite exhibited better photocatalytic H2 evolution compared to Co‐ZIF‐9. When the content of Ti3C2 was 2.5 wt %, a maximum photocatalytic H2‐generation rate of 3538.5 μmol g−1 ⋅ h−1 was achieved, which is 9.6 times that of bare Co‐ZIF‐9. Moreover, the Co‐ZIF‐9/Ti3C2 composite displayed high photocatalytic stability. Passive daytime radiative cooling, a cooling strategy with no energy consumption, has attracted significant attention as a supplement to traditional active energy cooling techniques. However, realizing a practicable radiator with excellent spectral selectivity and strength via facile, scalable, and economical manufacturing remains a challenge. In this study, a spray‐phase‐separation strategy that utilizes spray and high‐speed airflow to regulate the phase evolution kinetics during the evaporation‐induced phase separation process for rational pore architecture is proposed. The fabricated poly (vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexafluoropropene) based flexible hierarchically porous complex membrane (FHPCM) shows an excellent spectral selectivity with an average reflectance of 97.2% and 52.9% in 0.24–2.5 and 2.5–8 µm wavelength range, respectively. In addition, FHPCM demonstrates an average emittance of 93.5% in the atmospheric window with an effective thickness of 313 µm, thus realizing a sub‐ambient radiative cooling of 14.9 °C and an inaccurate noontime radiative cooling power of 100 W m−2 under an average solar intensity of ≈1250 W m−2. Outdoor applications further confirm the excellent capacity of FHPCM for cooling cars and buildings, with a maximum Tcooling of 7.4 °C. Aims: Depression is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. The receptor for advanced glycosylation end products (RAGE) is closely related to chronic stress and is a target of F‐box protein O10 (FBXO10) which promotes the degradation of RAGE by ubiquitination. Here, we explored the role of FBXO10 and RAGE in chronic unpredictable stress (CUS)‐induced behavioral despair, cognitive impairment, neuroinflammation, and the polarization microglia. Methods: Male C57BL/6 mice with or without infusion of viral in the medial prefrontal cortex (PFC) were subjected to CUS. Then the mice were exposed to forced swim test, sucrose consumption test, novelty‐suppressed feeding test, and temporal object recognition task to assess the behavioral despair and cognitive impairment. Inflammatory cytokines and the neurotrophic factor brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels in PFC were assessed by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. Immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry staining were performed to observe the activation and phenotypic transformation of microglia in PFC. LPS‐induced cell model was constructed to explore the effect of FBXO10/RAGE axis in the polarization of microglia in vitro. Results: FBXO10 promoted RAGE degradation by ubiquitination in BV2 cells. FBXO10 protein levels were reduced whereas RAGE protein levels were enhanced in CUS mice. FBXO10 overexpression or RAGE knockdown inhibited proinflammatory cytokine release, promoted BDNF expression, mitigated the depressive‐like and cognitive impairment behaviors, and affected the polarization of microglia induced by CUS exposure. FBXO10/RAGE axis promoted the polarization of microglia from the M1 to the M2 phenotype in vitro. Moreover, p38 MAPK and NF‐κΒ were identified to be the downstream effect factors for FBXO10/RAGE axis. Conclusions: FBXO10 administration prevents CUS‐induced behavioral despair, cognitive impairment, neuroinflammation, and the polarization of microglia through decreasing the accumulation of RAGE, p38 MAPK, and NF‐κΒ, suggesting potential therapeutic strategies for the prevention and treatment of depression. Until recently, national‐level data on criminal victimization in the United States did not include information on immigrant or citizenship status of respondents. This data‐infrastructure limitation has hindered scientific understanding of whether immigrants are more or less likely than native‐born Americans to be criminally victimized and how victimization may vary among immigrants of different statuses. We address these issues in the present study by using new data from the 2017–2018 National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) to explore the association between citizenship status and victimization risk in a nationally representative sample of households and persons aged 12 years and older. The research is guided by a theoretical framing that integrates insights from studies of citizenship with the literature on immigration and crime, as well as with theories of victimization. We find that a person's foreign‐born status (but not their acquired U.S. citizenship) confers protection against victimization. We also find that the protective benefit associated with being foreign born does not extend to those with ambiguous citizenship status, who in our data exhibit attributes similar to the known characteristics of undocumented immigrants. Background: There is growing recognition that infectious agents, particularly herpesviruses, could play a role in the development of some types of dementia. Method: In Wales, eligibility for the herpes zoster vaccine (Zostavax) for shingles prevention was determined based on an individual's exact date of birth. Those born before September‐2‐1933 were ineligible (and remained ineligible for life), while those born on or after September‐2‐1933 were eligible. This natural experiment provides causal, as opposed to correlational, evidence because there is no plausible reason why adults born just one week apart should differ systematically from each other. We used a regression discontinuity design in Welsh country‐wide data on primary and secondary care encounters, and death certificates. The outcome was a new dementia diagnosis as recorded in any of these data sources. Result: We included 282,541 individuals born between September‐1‐1925 and August‐31‐1941. The percentage who received the zoster vaccine increased from 0.01% among those one week too old to be eligible, to 47.2% among those one week younger. Receiving the vaccine reduced the probability of a new dementia diagnosis over a follow‐up period of seven years by 3.5 percentage points (95% CI: 0.6‐7.1, p = 0.019), corresponding to a 22.4% relative decrease. There were significant protective effects from the vaccine for Alzheimer's disease but not vascular dementia. Effects were far stronger among women than men. To demonstrate that our approach is causal, we show that i) there were no differences in pre‐existing conditions or uptake of other preventive interventions across the date‐of‐birth eligibility cutoff; ii) the zoster vaccine had no effects on any other common causes of morbidity and mortality; and iii) no other interventions used the same date‐of‐birth eligibility cutoff. Conclusion: In addition to identifying a readily available preventive intervention for dementia, our findings strongly suggest an important role of the varicella zoster virus in the etiology of dementia, particularly among women. Unlike existing studies in this field, this analysis provides causal evidence because individuals who differ in age by just one week are exchangeable with each other on both observed and unobserved characteristics, except for a large difference in the probability of receiving the zoster vaccine. Summary: Copy number variations (CNVs) play important roles in crop domestication. However, there is only very limited information on the involvement of CNVs in soybean domestication. Trailing growth and long shoots are soybean adaptations for natural habitats but cause lodging that hampers yield in cultivation. Previous studies have focused on Dt1/2 affecting the indeterminate/determinate growth habit, whereas the possible role of the gibberellin pathway remained unclear. In the present study, quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping of a recombinant inbred population of 460 lines revealed a trailing‐growth‐and‐shoot‐length QTL. A CNV region within this QTL was identified, featuring the apical bud‐expressed gibberellin 2‐oxidase 8A/B, the copy numbers of which were positively correlated with expression levels and negatively with trailing growth and shoot length, and their effects were demonstrated by transgenic soybean and Arabidopsis thaliana. Based on the fixation index, this CNV region underwent intense selection during the initial domestication process. Background: Incidence of skin pigmentation disorders has been on the rise globally. This calls for safer and more effective topical skin lightening and freckle‐removing products. In this study, we hypothesized that Soluble Pearl Extract (SPE) may possess endothelin antagonizing compounds with good skin whitening effects. Objectives: (a) To determine the effect and mechanisms of SPE on ET‐1‐treated B16 melanoma cells. (b) To explore the cytotoxic effects of SPE on B16 melanoma cells. Methods: CCK‐8 assay was performed to determine how SPE and ET‐1 affect the proliferation rate of B16 melanoma cells, the NaOH lysis assay was conducted to quantify the content of melanin while the tyrosinase activity was determined by DOPA oxidation test. The mRNA and protein expression levels of TYR and TRP‐1 were determined by qRT‐PCR assay and Western blot assay, respectively. Results: We found that SPE at 0.1 and 1 μg/mL concentrations has no effect on the proliferation of the cells and 10 nmol/L ET‐1 promoted B16 melanoma cells proliferation. Notably, B16 melanoma cells treated with 10 nmol/L ET‐1 exhibited significantly higher melanin synthesis, tyrosinase activity, TYR, and TRP‐1 mRNA expression levels compared with untreated cells. Of note, the effects of 10 nmol/L ET‐1 treatment were abolished with SPE in a dose‐dependent manner. In this industry 4.0 revolution, most of the manufacturing processes are equipped with the digital devices which are continuously recording the data. To monitor the quality of a manufacturing system, variable about number of conforming or nonconforming items is usually used and statistical analysis based on it is further utilized for developing the policies. In this era of sophisticated and modern technology, most of the manufacturing systems are producing near zero‐defect items. Such processes are known as high‐quality processes, and their dataset consists of excess number of zeros. Generally, the zero excess or near zero‐defect dataset is well fitted by the zero‐inflated distributions, and the zero‐inflated Poisson (ZIP) and zero‐inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) distributions are the most common models. Most of the time, in high‐quality processes, few covariates are also measured along with defect counts. Hence, to model such processes, generalized linear model (GLM) based on ZIP and ZINB distributions are used to fit the data. In monitoring perspective, data‐based control charts are designed to monitor high‐quality datasets while the GLM‐based control charts based on the residuals of the GLM models are used to monitor a change in the mean of the zero excess datasets. In this study, we have developed memory‐type data‐based and GLM‐based control charts (i.e., exponentially weighted moving average and cumulative sum) to monitor the increasing average defect counts in a high‐quality process. Further, the proposed methods are evaluated using run‐length properties and compared with its competitive charts. Furthermore, to highlight the importance of the study, the proposed methods are implemented on a dataset concerning the number of flight delays between Atlanta and Orlando airports. This article proposes two types of degradation models that are suitable for describing multivariate degrading systems subject to time‐variant covariates and imperfect maintenance activities. A multivariate Wiener process is constructed as a baseline model, on top of which two types of models are developed to meaningfully characterize the time‐variant covariates and imperfect maintenance effects. The underlying difference between the two models lies in the way of capturing the influences of covariates and maintenance: The first model reflects these impacts in the degradation rates/paths directly, whereas the second one describes the impacts by modifying the time scales governing the degradation processes. In each model, two particular imperfect maintenance models are presented, which differ in the extent of reduction in degradation level or virtual age. The two degradation models are then compared in certain special cases. The proposed multivariate degradation models pertain to complex industrial systems whose health deterioration can be characterized by multiple performance characteristics and can be altered or affected by maintenance activities and operating/environmental conditions. Adaptation is the most common and basic feature of living systems, which gives species or individuals a survival advantage. In particular, visual adaptation can enable organisms with a clearer understanding of the real world, thereby avoiding potential harm, which is vital for the life activities of organisms. However, current adaptive devices based on logic circuits are still facing the great challenges for large‐scale integration and limited bionic functions. Therefore, the hardware impleofmentation of biological visual adaptability through the emerging photoelectric devices may provide a great opportunity for the bionic systems facing complex environments. Here, a novel adaptive device based on a mixed‐dimensional van der Waals heterostructure is fabricated by using a gate‐modulated 0D‐CsPbBr3‐quantum‐dots/2D‐MoS2 heterostructure. The device has superior electric adaptabilities and excellent optical absorption abilities owing to its special energy‐band structure. The key characteristics of biological adaptation, such as accuracy, sensitivity, inactivation, and desensitization behaviors, are successfully emulated in the device based on the unique trapping‐detrapping mechanism. Most importantly, with a photoelectric synergy approach, the fascinating visual adaptation function based on an environment‐adjustable threshold is finally demonstrated. Ozone (O3) is of great importance to air quality in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, China. Focusing on surface O3 in the YRD, its spatiotemporal characteristics, meteorological driving factors, and health impacts are investigated based on surface O3 observations in this study. We find that from 2015 to 2019, most cities failed to meet the national standards and O3 pollution mainly occurred in warm seasons (April‐September). Surface O3 in the YRD increased in the recent years, so did tropospheric column O3. Spatially, surface shows a significant positive autocorrelation over the YRD except for 2019, and high O3 values mainly gather in the central of the YRD. The first two empirical orthogonal functions (EOFs) of O3 accounted for 37.4% and 20.0% of the total variance in O3, respectively, with their spatial patterns characterized by the same phase and west and east contrast, respectively. The EOF1 is related to the change in radiation and the EOF2 is attributed to regional transport by prevailing westerly wind. Downward UV radiation, temperature and u wind are crucial factors. The premature mortality caused by O3 for respiratory disease in the YRD is estimated to be 5,889 cases per year. Furthermore, we find that premature mortality is more sensitive to O3 concentration than population, suggesting that controlling peak O3 concentration can bring great health benefits. Objectives: We aimed to gain an understanding of the paradox of the immunity in COVID‐19 patients with T cells showing both functional defects and hyperactivation and enhanced proliferation. Methods: A total of 280 hospitalised patients with COVID‐19 were evaluated for cytokine profiles and clinical features including viral shedding. A mouse model of acute infection by lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) was applied to dissect the relationship between immunological, virological and pathological features. The results from the mouse model were validated by published data set of single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) of immune cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) of COVID‐19 patients. Results: The levels of soluble CD25 (sCD25), IL‐6, IL‐8, IL‐10 and TNF‐α were higher in severe COVID‐19 patients than non‐severe cases, but only sCD25 was identified as an independent risk factor for disease severity by multivariable binary logistic regression analysis and showed a positive association with the duration of viral shedding. In agreement with the clinical observation, LCMV‐infected mice with high levels of sCD25 demonstrated insufficient anti‐viral response and delayed viral clearance. The elevation of sCD25 in mice was mainly contributed by the expansion of CD25+CD8+ T cells that also expressed the highest level of PD‐1 with pro‐inflammatory potential. The counterpart human CD25+PD‐1+ T cells were expanded in BALF of COVID‐19 patients with severe disease compared to those with modest disease. Conclusion: These results suggest that high levels of sCD25 in COVID‐19 patients probably result from insufficient anti‐viral immunity and indicate an expansion of pro‐inflammatory T cells that contribute to disease severity. We found previously that KLF4 expression was up‐regulated in cultured rat and human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) exposed to cigarette smoke (CS) extract and in pulmonary artery from rats with pulmonary hypertension induced by CS. Here, we aim to investigate whether CS‐induced pulmonary hypertension (PH) is prevented and ameliorated by targeted pulmonary vascular gene knockdown of KLF4 via adeno‐associated virus 1 (AAV1)‐KLF4‐shRNA in vivo in rat model. The preventive and therapeutic effects were observed according to the different time‐point of AAV1‐KLF4‐shRNA intratracheal administration. We tested haemodynamic measurements of systemic and pulmonary circulations and observed the degree of pulmonary vascular remodelling. In the preventive experiment, KLF4 expression and some pulmonary circulation hemodynamic measurements such as right ventricular systolic pressure (RVSP), mean right ventricular pressure (mRVP), peak RV pressure rate of rise (dP/dt max) and right ventricle (RV) contractility index were increased significantly in the CS‐induced PH model. While in the prevention group (AAV1‐KLF4‐shRNA group), RVSP, mRVP, dP/dt max and RV contractility index which are associated with systolic function of right ventricle decreased and the degree of pulmonary vascular remodelling relieved. In the therapeutic experiment, we observed a similar trend. Our findings emphasize the feasibility of sustained pulmonary vascular KLF4 gene knockdown using intratracheal delivery of AAV1 in an animal model of cigarette smoke‐induced PH and determined gene transfer of KLF4‐shRNA could prevent and ameliorate the progression of PH. With the increase of energy demand, the scale of power grid is expanding, and the difficulty of power grid fault diagnosis is increasing. Aiming at the problem of large power grid fault diagnosis, a method of partition fault diagnosis based on improved Probabilistic neural network (PNN) and gray relational analysis (GRA) integral is proposed. Firstly, the large power grid divided into small areas for fault diagnosis through power grid partition, which reduces the difficulty of fault diagnosis. Then the PNN diagnosis module is established by the PNN optimized by GA‐CPSO for diagnosing the power grid fault. Finally, the faults in the overlapping area are reanalyzed by the GRA method, in order to realize the accurate fault diagnosis of the whole power grid. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are analyzed by two cases. The diagnosis results show that the method can effectively identify the faults in the nonoverlapping area and the overlapping area, and has strong fault tolerance and high diagnosis accuracy. © 2020 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Background: The rapid outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has turned into a public health emergency of international concern. Epidemiological research has shown that sex is associated with the severity of COVID‐19, but the underlying mechanism of sex predisposition remains poorly understood. We aim to study the gendered differences in inflammation reaction, and the association with severity and mortality of COVID‐19. Methods: In this retrospective study, we enrolled 548 COVID‐19 inpatients from Tongji Hospital from 26 January to 5 February 2020, and followed up to 3 March 2020. Epidemiological, demographic and clinical features, and inflammatory indexes were collected and compared between males and females. The Cox proportional hazard regression model was applied to identify the gendered effect on mortality of COVID‐19 after adjusting for age, comorbidity, and smoking history. The multiple linear regression method was used to explore the influence of sex on inflammation reaction. Results: Males had higher mortality than females did (22.2% vs 10.4%), with an hazard ratio of 1.923 (95% confidence interval, 1.181‐3.130); elder age and comorbidity were significantly associated with decease of COVID‐19 patients. Excess inflammation reaction was related to severity of COVID‐19. Male patients had greater inflammation reaction, with higher levels of interleukin 10, tumor necrosis factor‐α, lactose dehydrogenase, ferritin, and hyper‐sensitive C‐reactive protein, but a lower lymphocyte count than females adjusted by age and comorbidity. Conclusions: Sex, age, and comorbidity are critical risk factors for mortality of COVID‐19. Excess innate immunity and proinflammation activity, and deficiency in adaptive immunity response promote males, especially elder males, to develop a cytokine storm, causing potential acute respiratory distressed syndrome, multiple organ failure and decease. Fusion learning methods, developed for the purpose of analyzing datasets from many different sources, have become a popular research topic in recent years. Individualized inference approaches through fusion learning extend fusion learning approaches to individualized inference problems over a heterogeneous population, where similar individuals are fused together to enhance the inference over the target individual. Both classical fusion learning and individualized inference approaches through fusion learning are established based on weighted aggregation of individual information, but the weight used in the latter is localized to the target individual. This article provides a review on two individualized inference methods through fusion learning, iFusion and iGroup, that are developed under different asymptotic settings. Both procedures guarantee optimal asymptotic theoretical performance and computational scalability. As a large number of strain sensors are put into practical use, their stability should be considered, especially in harsh environments containing water or microorganisms, which could affect strain sensing. Herein, a novel strategy to overcome liquid interference is proposed. The strain sensor is constructed with a sandwich architecture through layer‐by‐layer (LBL) spray‐coating of a 3‐(aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES) bonding layer and multi‐walled carbon nanotubes/graphene (MWCNT/G) conductive layers on an elastomeric polydimethysiloxane (PDMS) substrate, and is further decorated with silver (Ag) nanoparticles and the (heptadecafluoro‐1,1,2,2‐tetradecyl) trimethoxysilane (FAS, F in short) to obtain a F/Ag/MWCNG/G‐PDMS (FAMG) strain sensor. The superhydrophobicity and underwater oleophobicity of the outer cover layer causes this FAMG strain sensor surface to exhibit stable strain sensing resistant to liquid interference upon stretching in the Cassie−Baxter wetting state, and resistance to bacterial adhesion (Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and Escherichia coli (E. coli)). The sensor attains ultrasensitivity (with a maximum gauge factor of 1989 in the condition of liquid interference), broad strain range (0.1–170%), fast response time (150 ms), and stable response after 1000 stretching–releasing cycles. The ultrasensitivity is provided by propagation of cracks in MWCNT/G conductive layers and terminal fracture of the intermediate separating layers (APTES/MWCNT/G). The microbridge effect of MWCNTs and slippage of APTES/MWCNT/G provide a large strain range. The FAMG strain sensor is successfully used to monitor a series of human activities and an electronic bird under artificial rain and bacterial droplets, indicating the potential use of this sensor in complex environments. High‐mobility group protein B1 (HMGB1) has important functions in cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. However, the mechanisms of HMGB1 function in non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanism of HMGB1‐dependent tumor cell proliferation and NSCLC metastasis. Firstly, we found high HMGB1 expression in NSCLC and showed that HMBG1 promoted proliferation, migration, and invasion of NSCLC cells. HMGB1 could bind to SNAI1 promoter and activate the expression of SNAI1. In addition, HMGB1 could transcriptionally regulate the lncRNA RSF1‐IT2. RSF1‐IT2 was found to function as ceRNA, sponging miR‐129‐5p, which targets SNAI1. Notably, HMGB1 was also identified as a target of miR‐129‐5p, which indicates the establishment of a positive feedback loop. Consequently, high expression of RSF1‐IT2 and SNAI1 was found to closely correlate with tumor progression in both HMGB1‐overexpressing xenograft nude mice and patients with NSCLC. Taken together, our findings provide new insights into molecular mechanisms of HMGB1‐dependent tumor metastasis. Tribbles homolog 3 (TRB3) has been accounted for regulation of a few cell processes through interaction with other significant proteins. The molecular mechanisms underlying TRB3 in tumorigenesis in lung adenocarcinoma have not been entirely elucidated. The present study is aimed at determining the function and fundamental mechanisms of TRB3 in lung adenocarcinoma progression. TRB3 was highly expressed in A549 and H1299 cells and lung adenocarcinoma tissues compared with human bronchial epithelial cells (HBEpC) and adjacent normal lung tissues. Hypoxia significantly upregulated the expression of TRB3 protein in A549 and H1299 cells in a time‐dependent way. Gene expression profiling interactive analysis data analysis indicated that patients with lung adenocarcinoma with excessive expression of TRB3 mRNA had fundamentally shorter survival time. TRB3 knockdown in A549 cells can inhibit cell proliferation and migration, and promote cell apoptosis. TRB3 knockdown reduced the expression of p‐ERK and p‐JNK, but did not affect the expression of p‐P38 MAPK. TRB3 overexpression enhances the malignant transformation abilities of HBEpC such as cell proliferation, migration and colony formation, which could be reversed by U0126 and SP600125. TRB3 overexpression promotes the phosphorylation of extracellular signal‐regulated kinase (ERK) and c‐Jun N‐terminal kinase (JNK) but was not affected by U0126 and SP600125. The results of coimmunoprecipitation experiments indicated that TRB3 binds directly to ERK and JNK. This study suggests that TRB3 has a potentially carcinogenic role in lung adenocarcinoma by binding to ERK and JNK and promoting the phosphorylation of ERK and JNK. The items were produced with zero defects, and zero‐inflated distributions are used to fit the defect count data. Recently, many studies were designed for the estimation and monitoring methods based on the zero‐inflated distributions. As zero‐inflated models are useful in the modeling of high‐yield and rare health‐related processes, so, the stated study is designed to provide a summary of past and current trends of monitoring methods under the zero‐inflated models. Moreover, a review is done on the several zero‐inflated models and their applications in different industries. At present, the evaluation of relay status maintenance depends on a large amount of manpower. However, the data sources of relay protection devices and fault recorder information system (as known as the information processing system) have reached the basic requirements of online prediction of status evaluation of protection devices. Taking the exported information as the data source, according to the configuration file information, the state-space information that can be monitored by the protection device can be automatically extracted, and then the automatic extraction of the historical state of the protection device and the calculation of the coefficient of the state-transfer matrix are completed. Using Markov state space model method, the probability of each state that can be monitored by protection device was calculated, and the state of protection is evaluated. Finally, the operation data of CSC-101B protection device are selected as an example. The correctness and effectiveness of the method for evaluating the state of the protective device are verified. Aim: To describe changed epidemiological features of advanced maternal age (AMA) and to examine the effect of AMA on the risk for Cesarean section (CS) in a Chinese pregnant population. Methods: This retrospective single‐center cohort study investigated the changes of epidemiological features of AMA parturients with respect to the revised reproductive policy in China in 43 702 singleton deliveries with live birth at ≥28 weeks managed from January 2005 to December 2016. We also evaluated the pregnancy outcomes in different age groups and risk factors of CS with multivariate analysis. Results: In this 12‐year study period, the average maternal age increased from 28.5 to 30.2 years, and the proportion of AMA raised from 6.5% to 17.2%. AMA was significantly associated with increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and after adjustment for confounding factors, AMA remained a significant independent risk factor for CS. Furthermore, the effect of AMA in nulliparous women on the risk of CS was more significant than in multiparous women, while the history of previous CS (adjusted odds ratio 39.85) and interdelivery interval ≥10 years (adjusted odds ratio 1.52) also increased the risk of CS in multiparous women. Conclusion: AMA increased the risk of a number of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and was independently associated with increased risk for CS. The increasing number of AMA parturients with risk factors is likely to increase CS rate in China in the near future, thus it is imperative to reduce the rate of primary CS as a matter of policy.
