Fast movement of objects and illumination changes may lead to a negative effect on camera images for object detection and tracking. Event cameras are neuromorphic vision sensors that capture the vitality of a scene, mitigating data redundancy and latency. This paper proposes a new solution to moving object detection and tracking using an event frame from bio-inspired event cameras. First, an object detection method is designed using a combined event frame and a standard frame in which the detection is performed according to probability and color, respectively. Then, a detection-based object tracking method is proposed using an event frame and an improved kernel correlation filter to reduce missed detection. Further, a distance measurement method is developed using event frame-based tracking and similar triangle theory to enhance the estimation of distance between the object and camera. Experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods for moving object detection and tracking.

ABSTRACT: The composition of milk lipids varies across different ethnic sources. The lipidome profiles of Chinese Han human milk (HHM) and Chinese Korean human milk (KHM) were investigated in this study. A total of 741 lipids were identified in HHM and KHM. Twenty-eight differentially expressed lipids (DEL) were screened between the 2 milk groups; among these, 6 triacylglycerols (TG), 13 diacylglycerols (DG), 7 free fatty acids (FFA), and 1 monoglyceride (MG) were upregulated in KHM. Carnitine (CAR) was upregulated in HHM. Most DEL showed a single peak distribution in both groups. The correlations, related pathways and diseases of these DEL were further analyzed. The results demonstrated that DG, MG, and FFA showed highly positive correlations with each other (r > 0.8). The most enriched Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (https://www.kegg.jp/kegg/) and Human Metabolome Database (http://www.hmdb.ca) pathways were inositol phosphate metabolism, and α-linolenic acid and linolenic acid metabolism, respectively. Major depressive disorder-related FFA (20:5) and FFA (22:6) were more abundant in KHM, whereas HHM showed more obesity-related CAR. These data potentially provide lipidome information regarding human milk from different ethnicities in China.

The high-temperature wear resistance plays an important role for Ti–6Al–4V alloy components working in extreme environments, especially vital for avoiding unexpected failure. However, the reasonable method of surface modification should meet the requirement of improving in wear resistance and less decreasing in mechanical properties simultaneously, which brings a great challenge. In the present research, the laser shock peening (LSP) technique was applied to optimize the superficial layer of Ti–6Al–4V alloy by different processing. The microstructure, elastic modulus, nano-hardness and high-temperature tribology properties of the LSP processed Ti–6Al–4V were investigated to reveal the improving effect. The results demonstrate the LSP processing transforms the dual-size grain structure to relative homogeneous grain structure and forms the gradient nano-structure in superficial layer. With the increasing of LSP processing numbers, the density of geometrically necessary dislocation (GND) decreases obviously, but the density of statistically stored dislocation (SSD) rises significantly, which promotes the increase of total dislocation density compared with the as-received (AR) alloy. Due to the crystal evolution, the Ti–6Al–4V alloy with three-times LSP processing has the lowest wear rate which is less than half of the as-received state. The observations on worn surface and adjacent cross-sectional microstructure reveal the severe scratching and many inner microcracks in the AR sample but the slight scraping and few inner microcracks in the three-times LSP processed sample. Considering the elevated nano-hardness and elastic modulus, the improved tribological properties should be mainly attributed to the optimized microstructure and dislocation state by LSP processing. The present research provides a more reasonable method to improve the high-temperature wear properties of Ti–6Al–4V alloy.

IntroductionHuman milk is widely acknowledged as the optimal food for infant aged 0 ~ 6 months. While there has been extensive documentation on the mineral and trace element composition of human milk, results on the relationship between mineral content and infant growth remain mixed. This cross-sectional study aims to explore human milk mineral patterns and to investigate associations between human milk mineral patterns, human milk metabolomic profile and infant growth.MethodsA total of 200 breast milk samples from seven cities in China was included. Human milk mineral and trace elements was detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). K-means cluster analysis was utilized to derived human milk mineral patterns. Untargeted human milk metabolomic profiles was determined using high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS). Differences of infant growth rate and metabolomic profiles were then compared across patterns identified.ResultsThree human milk mineral patterns were identified. Cluster I was characterized as the highest levels of potassium, magnesium and calcium, while the lowest levels of copper, zinc, manganese and selenium. Cluster II showed the most abundant sodium, iron, zinc, manganese and selenium. Cluster III had the lowest levels of sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron and calcium. Infants of cluster I showed significantly higher length-for-age z score (0.60 ± 2.03, p = 0.03). Compared with other clusters, samples of cluster I showed lower expression of metabolites of arachidonic acid (ARA) and nicotinate and nicotinamide metabolism pathway.DiscussionA human milk mineral pattern was identified which is related to increased infant growth rate and altered metabolic signature. Future work is needed to understand these human milk patterns in terms of biologic mechanisms and generalization to other populations.

In this study, Senescence Accelerated Mice (SAMP8) were supplemented with exogenous DHA milk, endogenous DHA milk, normal milk, or 0.9 % saline solution. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), gas chromatography (GC), ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI MS/MS), and Morris water maze were used to characterize the effects of diet on oxidative stress and cognition in SAMP8 mice. Supplementation endogenous DHA milk or exogenous DHA milk can enhance the antioxidant capacity of mice organs. Endogenous DHA milk increased the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of mice brain and serum than normal milk and 0.9 % saline solution (P ≤ 0.05), as well as increased SOD activity of mice liver and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity of mice brain than normal milk (P ≤ 0.05). Exogenous DHA milk increased SOD activity of mice brain than normal milk and 0.9 % saline solution, as well as increased SOD activity of mice serum than 0.9 % saline solution (P ≤ 0.05). Several polar lipid relative content, such as 18:0/18:2 PS, 17:0 Ceramide, and 20:4 LPC in mice brain was affected by dietary supplementation with DHA-containing milk. Lipid oxidation metabolites in mice brain were not affected by DHA-containing milk. Endogenous DHA milk increased the number of platform location crossing times of mice in the Morris water maze test, compared with Exogenous DHA milk, normal milk, and 0.9 % saline solution (P ≤ 0.05).

Ensuring optimal infant nutrition is crucial for the health and development of children. Many infants aged 0–6 months are fed with infant formula rather than breast milk. Research on cancer cell lines and animal models is limited to examining the nutrition effects of formula and breast milk, as it does not comprehensively consider absorption, metabolism, and the health and social determinants of the infant and its physiology. Our study utilized small intestine organoids induced from human embryo stem cell (ESC) to compare the nutritional effects of breast milk from five donors during their postpartum lactation period of 1–6 months and three types of Stage 1 infant formulae from regular retail stores. Using transcriptomics and untargeted metabolomics approaches, we focused on the differences such as cell growth and development, cell junctions, and extracellular matrix. We also analyzed the roles of pathways including AMPK, Hippo, and Wnt, and identified key genes such as ALPI, SMAD3, TJP1, and WWTR1 for small intestine development. Through observational and in-vitro analysis, our study demonstrates ESC-derived organoids might be a promising model for exploring nutritional effects and underlying mechanisms.

Abstract Dysregulated eEF2K expression is implicated in the pathogenesis of many human cancers, including triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC), making it a plausible therapeutic target. However, specific eEF2K inhibitors with potent anti‐cancer activity have not been available so far. Targeted protein degradation has emerged as a new strategy for drug discovery. In this study, a novel small molecule chemical is designed and synthesized, named as compound C1, which shows potent activity in degrading eEF2K. C1 selectively binds to F8, L10, R144, C146, E229, and Y236 of the eEF2K protein and promotes its proteasomal degradation by increasing the interaction between eEF2K and the ubiquitin E3 ligase βTRCP in the form of molecular glue. C1 significantly inhibits the proliferation and metastasis of TNBC cells both in vitro and in vivo and in TNBC patient‐derived organoids, and these antitumor effects are attributed to the degradation of eEF2K by C1. Additionally, combination treatment of C1 with paclitaxel, a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug, exhibits synergistic anti‐tumor effects against TNBC. This study not only generates a powerful research tool to investigate the therapeutic potential of targeting eEF2K, but also provides a promising lead compound for developing novel drugs for the treatment of TNBC and other cancers.

Object detection in remote sensing plays a crucial role in various ground identification tasks. However, due to the limited feature information contained within small targets, which are more susceptible to being buried by complex backgrounds, especially in extreme environments (e.g., low-light, motion-blur scenes). Meanwhile, event cameras offer a unique paradigm with high temporal resolution and wide dynamic range for object detection. These advantages enable event cameras without being limited by the intensity of light, to perform better in challenging conditions compared to traditional cameras. In this work, we introduce the Multi-Vision Transformer (MVT), which comprises three efficiently designed components: the downsampling module, the Channel Spatial Attention (CSA) module, and the Global Spatial Attention (GSA) module. This architecture simultaneously considers short-term and long-term dependencies in semantic information, resulting in improved performance for small object detection. Additionally, we propose Cross Deformable Attention (CDA), which progressively fuses high-level and low-level features instead of considering all scales at each layer, thereby reducing the computational complexity of multi-scale features. Nevertheless, due to the scarcity of event camera remote sensing datasets, we provide the Event Object Detection (EOD) dataset, which is the first dataset that includes various extreme scenarios specifically introduced for remote sensing using event cameras. Moreover, we conducted experiments on the EOD dataset and two typical unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing datasets (VisDrone2019 and UAVDT Dataset). The comprehensive results demonstrate that the proposed MVT-Net achieves a promising and competitive performance.

Infant formula has widely used as infant food besides human milk. The aroma characteristics determine the sensory quality of this product and the purchase intention of consumers to a great extent. It was generally developed infant formula products into 1-stage (for babies at 0~6 months), 2-stage (6~12 months) and 3-stage (12~24 months). In this study, a combination of quantitative description analysis (QDA), gas chromatography olfactory mass spectrometry (GC-O-MS) and gas chromatography high-resolution mass spectrometry (GC-Orbitrap-MS) was used to study the aroma characteristics and the aroma compounds composition in infant formulas with three different stages. The flavor profile of infant formula (IF) determines its overall acceptability and palatability, significantly impacting its desirability for infants, while the presence of off-flavors challenges the feeding experience and IF quality, even may lead to the rejection by infants. In this study, the dynamic changes in volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during 12 weeks of IF storage at 4 °C–60 °C were monitored by Gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) for capturing the fingerprints of VOCs. The GC-IMS revealed that a total of 44 VOCs, including acids, alcohols, aldehydes, esters, ketones, and furans. The alternative principal component analysis (PCA) and Sankey diagram in this study offered a comprehensive tracing of the dynamic changes in VOCs, providing valuable implications for the optimization of IF quality control, assessment for validity period and origin tracking in the food industrial.

Spin-based comagnetometers have essential applications in studying new physical effects such as the fifth force, Lorentz violations, and spin-gravity interactions. In this paper, a transfer function model of the spin precession phase (frequency) is derived to analyze the comagnetometer's noise mechanism. The theory combined with experiments reveals that the output frequency noise of the spin oscillator above 5 Hz is mainly phase noise from the phase-locked loop. The noise below 5 Hz is mainly from the biased magnetic field noise. When building a comagnetometer using two spin oscillators, the symmetry of the spin oscillator is significant. When the intrinsic physical parameters cannot be symmetrical, the comagnetometer's common-mode suppression capability to magnetic field fluctuations can be enhanced by optimizing the control parameters. In addition, the closed-loop control of Bz can significantly weaken the effect of system asymmetry in the low-frequency band. Finally, when considering the comagnetometer system in nuclear magnetic resonance gyroscopes, a trade-off between the bandwidth and sensitivity can be achieved using theory. This paper is an excellent reference for both the research and application of comagnetometers.

In contrast to those deployed on land vehicles, the single-beam Laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) used for velocity acquisition on airborne vehicles requires a focusing transmitter. The effects of spherical aberration in focusing transmitters on the distant velocity measurement of single-beam Laser Doppler velocimeters are demonstrated in this work. The calculations of the numerical simulations based on the generated theories and the subsequent experiments are in agreement with the theoretical analyses. The impact of spherical aberration on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of single-beam Laser Doppler velocimeters is explained. Also illustrated is the generalized analysis for single-beam Laser Doppler velocimeters equipped with complex optics. An efficient approach for evaluating and advancing the SNR performance of single-beam Laser Doppler velocimeters used for distant velocity measurement is demonstrated. Works in this paper pave way for the design of airborne LDV.

At present, numerous wall-climbing robots have been developed, and applied in ship manufacturing for weld detection to ensure safe navigation. Limited by rigid mechanical structure and complex detection, mostly existing robots are hardly to complete weld detection by using fluorescent magnetic particles. Based on permanent magnet adsorption, a wheeled wall-climbing robot is developed to realize the stable adsorption and flexible movement on ship wall. A detection mechanism is designed using a series and parallel flexible adaptation structure to keep cross yokes and detection area close for effective detection. A unified mechanical model is established by analyzing the angle between robot attitude and gravity, to solve safe adsorption and flexible movement for different detection conditions. Integrated the multisensor information and collaboration between control component, an automatic detection control workflow conforms to the standard process is proposed. Experiments show that the robot can move on curvature wall flexibly and stably, complete the weld detection with the standard process, and clearly display the shape and depth of the small defects (groove depth ≥ 30 μm) in standard specimen.

Fermented dairy foods such as yogurt exhibit some beneficial effects on consumers, including relieving the symptoms of hypertension. This study aims to obtain fermented dairy products from a co-starter that have a great flavor and the auxiliary function of reducing blood pressure after longtime consumption. Commercial starter cultures composed of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus CICC 6047 and Streptococcus thermophilus CICC 6038 were combined with Lactobacillus plantarum strains Y44, Y12, and Y16, respectively, as a combined starter culture to ferment the mixed milk of skim milk and soybean milk. The fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture mixed with L. plantarum Y44 showed an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity (53.56 ± 0.69%). Some peptides that regulate blood pressure were released in the fermented milk, such as AMKPWIQPK, GPVRGPFPII, LNVPGEIVE, NIPPLTQTPV, and YQEPVL. In spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) oral-administration experiments compared with the gavage unfermented milk group, the gavage feeding of SHRs with the fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture mixed with L. plantarum Y44 significantly reduced the blood pressure of the SHRs after long-term intragastric administration, shown with the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) decreasing by 23.67 ± 2.49 mmHg and 15.22 ± 2.62 mmHg, respectively. Moreover, the abundance of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), bacterial diversity in the gut microbiota, and SCFA levels including acetic acid, propionic acid, and butyric acid in the feces of the SHRs were increased via oral administration of the fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture containing L. plantarum Y44. Furthermore, the ACE-angiotensin II (Ang II)-angiotensin type 1 (AT 1) axis was downregulated, the angiotensin-converting-enzyme 2 (ACE 2)-angiotensin(1-7) (Ang1-7)-Mas receptor axis of the SHRs was upregulated, and then the RAS signal was rebalanced. The fermented milk obtained from the combined starter culture shows the potential to be a functional food with antihypertension properties.

With the advent of aging society, the skeletal muscle volume and muscle strength of the elderly are reduced, and they are prone to sarcopenia. Sarcopenia has caused a lot of inconvenience to the life of the elderly. At present, the symptomatic medical treatment for sarcopenia is not perfect. It is necessary to understand its pathogenesis and treatment measures. Protein supplementation, as the most healthy, effective and convenient method, has attracted people's attention. This paper summarizes the pathogenesis and current prevention and treatment methods of sarcopenia, the significance of protein action and sarcopenia and the role of protein in the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia are clarified. It lays a theoretical foundation for the application of protein in different ways and the treatment of sarcopenia.

Conventional spectrophotometric methods were unable to accurately detect urea concentrations below 100 μg/L. A modified spectrophotometric method was developed to determine the trace urea in the ultrapure water (UPW) production process of the semiconductor manufacturing industry. This method was optimized based on the dosage of chemical agents, length of the optical path, and mode of the water bath. Metal ions were added to promote the stability of the chromogenic system. A calibration graph was observed with ideal linearity in the range of 0.8–100 μg/L. The detection and quantification limits of urea were 0.24 and 0.80 μg/L, respectively. The distribution of urea in raw water for the UPW production process was observed and the urea in tap water was 10–20 μg/L. The urea of municipal reclaimed water was 24–40 μg/L, which was twice that of industrial reclaimed water at 10–18 μg/L. The total removal rate of urea by the UPW production process was 50–70%. Reverse osmosis membranes played a critical role in the removal of urea (over 30%). The urea in the final UPW produced from tap water was approximately 4.1 μg/L, which creates a potential risk of excessive total organic carbon. Osteoporosis is a systemic bone disease characterized by decreased bone mass, osteopenia, and bone microstructure degradation. The cause is that the activity of osteoclasts is greater than that of osteoblasts, resulting in bone resorption greater than bone formation. The current method of treating osteoporosis is mainly through calcium supplementation or drug treatment, but it would be accompanied by disadvantages such as poor absorption, insignificant effect, and large side effects. Plant natural active ingredients have the characteristics of wide sources, abundant structure and less adverse reactions. They could be used as new methods to prevent and treat osteoporosis. This article summarizes the anti-osteoporosis effects of osteoporosis and plant active ingredients. Through the analysis of related signal pathways, transcription factors, protein expression and other aspects, the anti-osteoporosis mechanism of plant active ingredients and related clinical research are described. On this basis, the anti-osteoporosis products of medicinal and edible plants are introduced, aiming to provide theoretical support for the development of new drugs and functional foods.

Abstract In this study, it is found that the lncRNA, DNA damage inducible transcript 4 antisense RNA1 (DDIT4‐AS1), is highly expressed in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell lines and tissues due to H3K27 acetylation in the promoter region, and promotes the proliferation, migration, and invasion of TNBC cells via activating autophagy. Mechanistically, it is shown that DDIT4‐AS1 induces autophagy by stabilizing DDIT4 mRNA via recruiting the RNA binding protein AUF1 and promoting the interaction between DDIT4 mRNA and AUF1, thereby inhibiting mTOR signaling pathway. Furthermore, silencing of DDIT4‐AS1 enhances the sensitivity of TNBC cells to chemotherapeutic agents such as paclitaxel both in vitro and in vivo. Using a self‐activatable siRNA/drug core–shell nanoparticle system, which effectively deliver both DDIT4‐AS1 siRNA and paclitaxel to the tumor‐bearing mice, a significantly enhanced antitumor activity is achieved. Importantly, the codelivery nanoparticles exert a stronger antitumor effect on breast cancer patient‐derived organoids. These findings indicate that lncRNA DDIT4‐AS1‐mediated activation of autophagy promotes progression and chemoresistance of TNBC, and targeting of DDIT4‐AS1 may be exploited as a new therapeutic approach to enhancing the efficacy of chemotherapy against TNBC.

Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit A (eIF3a) is the largest subunit of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF3). eIF3a plays an integral role in protein biosynthesis, hence impacting the onset, development, and treatment of tumors. The proteins regulated by eIF3a are still being explored in vivo. In this study, a Cre-loxP system was used to generate eIF3a conditional knockout mice. Tandem mass tag (TMT) labeling with LC-MS/MS analysis was used to identify differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) in fat, lungs, skin, and spleen tissue of the eIF3a knockout mice and controls. Bioinformatics analysis was then used to explore the functions and molecular signaling pathways of these protein landscapes. It was observed that eIF3a is essential for life sustenance. Abnormal tissue pathology was found in the lungs, fat, skin, spleen, and thymus. In total, 588, 210, 324, and 944 DEPs were quantified in the lungs, fat, skin, and spleen, respectively, of the eIF3a knockout mice as compared to the control. The quantified differentially expressed proteins were tissue-specific, except for eight proteins shared by the four tissues. A broad range of functions for eIF3a, including cellular signaling pathway, immune response, metabolism, defense response, phagocytes, and DNA replication, has been revealed using bioinformatics analysis. Herein, several pathways related to oxidative stress in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) database, including nitrogen metabolism, peroxisome, cytochrome P450 drug metabolism, pyruvate metabolism, PPAR signaling pathway, phospholipase D signaling pathway, B-cell receptor signaling pathway, ferroptosis, and focal adhesion, have been identified. Collectively, this study shows that eIF3a is an essential gene for sustaining life, and its downstream proteins are involved in diverse novel functions beyond mRNA translational regulation.

Previous Chinese research revealed that diarsenic trioxide (As2O3) inhibits acute promyelocytic leukemia (PML) cell proliferation and initiates apoptosis through degradation of the PML-retinoic acid receptor protein. This study was to analyse whether As2O3 also had an effect on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. As2O3 effects on various HCC cell lines and primary HCC cells were investigated in time and dose series, including measurements of cell growth, PML mRNA and protein expression, xenografted tumor formation, and the self-renewal Oct4 and hepatocyte marker expressions in mouse model xenografts or cells treated with PML siRNA. The results were analyzed by immunocytochemistry, quantitative reverse transcription PCR and western blotting as well as indocyanine green and Periodic Acid Schiff staining. As2O3 inhibited HCC cell and HCC cell-derived xenograft tumor formation in a time-dependent manner and reduced PML protein expression in HCC cells, but had limited effects on PML mRNA levels in cell nuclei. The HCC cell line HuH7 treated with As2O3 showed a decreased expression of alpha-fetoprotein and increased expression and transcription of mature hepatocyte markers, indicating differentiation of HCC cells into hepatocytes. Cytokeratin 18 protein and mRNA levels as well as tyrosine aminotransferase and apolipoprotein B mRNA transcriptions were enhanced by As2O3 as were the numbers of indocyanine green and Periodic Acid Schiff stained cells. In addition, As2O3 downregulated the expression of Oct4. In conclusion, since As2O3 inhibited HCC cell proliferation and HCC cell-derived xenograft tumor formation it is suggested that an appropriate concentration of As2O3 might be a promising therapy to treat HCC.

The current study aims to investigate differences in whey protein of breastmilk of volunteered mother collected from two ethnic groups (Korean and Han) in China using data-independent acquisition (DIA) based proteomics technique. The total detected 624 proteins were principally allocated to cellular process of biological process (BP), cell and cell part of cell component (CC) and binding of molecular function (MF) according to Gene Ontology (GO) annotation; and carbohydrate metabolism of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis. IntroductionHuman breast milk provides neonates with indispensable nutrition and function. Milk protein is one of the main constituents of breast milk. Human milk profiles can be influenced by many factors.MethodsThe present study aimed to investigate the difference in casein isolated from mature milk of healthy mothers of Korean and Han ethnic groups in China using data-independent acquisition (DIA) proteomics.ResultsA total of 535 proteins were identified and quantified in casein fraction samples from both groups. A total of 528 proteins were annotated to 52 Gene Ontology (GO) terms, the majority (94.13%) of which were distributed in the cell and cell parts of the cellular component. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis revealed that 106 proteins were involved in 23 pathways, the greatest (36.79%) in carbohydrate metabolism. There were 39 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs)–10 upregulated and 29 downregulated–between Korean and Han milk. The GO function of blood microparticles and KEGG pathway of Staphylococcus aureus infection for DEPs were the most significantly enriched (p < 0.05). Protein-protein interaction analysis revealed a network with 23 DEPs in 47 interactions, and the fibrinogen alpha chain ranked first as the hub protein.DiscussionThese data may provide useful technical guidance for the development of specific infant foods for certain populations.

The current SMT reflow soldering process usually adopts experimental methods to predict the temperature curve, and the disadvantages of high cost and low efficiency are urgent problems. In view of the high heat capacity and poor wetting of the product during the reflow soldering process, this paper optimizes the temperature curve prediction model. First, the existing furnace temperature model is simplified, and then a method based on genetic algorithm is proposed by introducing heating factors. Based on the above, we established a reflow temperature curve optimization model. Finally, the MAPE evaluation method is used to compare the predicted results with the production data, and the results show that the predicted values meet the error accuracy requirements. Therefore, it is proved that the mathematical model of genetic algorithm established can effectively predict the temperature curve, and provide guidance for the production process of the reflow soldering of the enterprise.

Diseases caused by fungi can affect the quality and yield of the leaves of tea [Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze]. At present, the availability of highly effective and safe fungicides for controlling tea plants remains limited. The objectives of this study were to identify novel compounds with antifungal activities and to determine their molecular mechanisms. A series of sulfone compounds containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole were evaluated in China for their antifungal activities against several pathogens causing foliar diseases and high production losses. Transcriptomics and bioinformatics were used to analyze the differentially expressed genes of Lasiodiplodia theobromae treated with a representative compound, jiahuangxianjunzuo (JHXJZ). Moreover, the effects of JHXJZ on ergosterol content, membrane permeability, cell structure, and seven key genes involved in the ergosterol biosynthetic pathway were investigated. JHXJZ had a strong antifungal activity against L. theobromae in vitro, with an effective concentration giving 50% inhibition of 3.54 ± 0.55 μg/ml, and its curative efficacies on detached tea leaves reached 41.78% at 100 μg/ml. JHXJZ upregulated 899 genes (P < 0.05) and downregulated 1,185 genes (P < 0.05) in L. theobromae. These genes were found to be associated with carbohydrate metabolic processes, which are closely related to steroid biosynthesis in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways. Because JHXJZ regulates the key genes of sterol biosynthesis, it decreased the ergosterol content, increased cell-membrane permeability, changed the cellular structure, enhanced the roughness of the surface of the hyphae, and resulted in degradation of the hyphal nuclei and necrosis of the hyphal cytoplasm. Our study demonstrates that JHXJZ is a fungicide with a novel mechanism of action that differs from that of triazole fungicides. Abstract Organic electrode materials (OEMs) emerge as one of the most promising candidates for the next‐generation rechargeable batteries, mainly owing to their advantages of bountiful resources, high theoretical capacity, structural designability, and sustainability. However, OEMs usually suffer from poor electronic conductivity and unsatisfied stability in common organic electrolytes, ultimately leading to their deteriorating output capacity and inferior rate capability. Making clear of the issues from microscale to macroscale level is of great importance for the exploration of novel OEMs. Herein, the challenges and advanced strategies to boost the electrochemical performance of redox‐active OEMs for sustainable secondary batteries are systematically summarized. Particularly, the characterization technologies and computational methods to elucidate the complex redox reaction mechanisms and confirm the organic radical intermediates of OEMs have been introduced. Moreover, the structural design of OEMs‐based full cells and the outlook for OEMs are further presented. This review will shed light on the in‐depth understanding and development of OEMs for sustainable secondary batteries.

An antenna array system configured to offer directional dependent modulation has the capability to prevent eavesdroppers' attacks, thereby enhancing the security level of data transmission. In this paper, we propose artificial-noise-aided directional modulation transmitter utilizing a 4 × 4 Butler matrix with a four-element 2-D (i.e., range and angle) frequency diverse array (FDA) antenna to achieve secure transmissions, which outperforms the 1-D (i.e., angle) phased array scheme. The proposed scheme utilizes FDA Butler matrix excited by information data and injected artificial noise interference which radiates along all directions except the main information data direction. Thus, the radiation pattern during a particular transmission period will be range-angle dependent. The proposed scheme is evaluated by using constellation points in IQ space, bit error probability (BER), and secrecy capacity. Simulation results demonstrate that: 1) our scheme scrambles the constellation points along undesired direction(s) in both amplitude and phase, while preserving a clear constellation points along the pre-specified direction(s); 2) the scheme achieves better BER and secrecy capacity than that of the phased array based directional modulation scheme and other existing scheme; 3) the scheme significantly improves security performance especially in the range dimension. This paper presents an in-depth study of the variable reference process to improve the organization and properties of selective laser melting TC4 specimens. A relationship equation between body energy density and stratification is proposed. This study aimed to look into how layer and volume energy density affect the surface, tensile characteristics, and microstructure of specimens. The test findings demonstrated that specimen densities rise as the power index falls, with the most excellent density reaching 99.42%. The number of secondary α’ phases declined as the energy density of the laminae slowed down. The tensile strength of these specimens reached 1190.84 MPa, and the yield strength came at 1103.87 MPa with the same interval of variable laser power. This offers a fresh avenue for research into SLM to enhance the specimens’ overall performance.

Breast cancer is the most common deadly malignancy in women worldwide. In particular, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits the worst prognosis among four subtypes of breast cancer due to limited treatment options. Exploring novel therapeutic targets holds promise for developing effective treatments for TNBC. Here, we demonstrated for the first time that LEMD1 (LEM domain containing 1) is highly expressed in TNBC and contributes to reduced survival in TNBC patients, through analysis of both bioinformatic databases and collected patient samples. Furthermore, LEMD1 silencing not only inhibited the proliferation and migration of TNBC cells in vitro, but also abolished tumor formation of TNBC cells in vivo. Knockdown of LEMD1 enhanced the sensitivity of TNBC cells to paclitaxel. Mechanistically, LEMD1 promoted the progress of TNBC by activating the ERK signaling pathway. In summary, our study revealed that LEMD1 may act as a novel oncogene in TNBC, and targeting LEMD1 may be exploited as a promising therapeutic approach to enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy against TNBC.

At present, a large number of magnetic wall-climbing robots are applied to various magnetically conductive metal facades for detection and anti-corrosion work. Limited by the wall-climbing mechanism and adsorption device, most wall-climbing robots can only climb on smooth walls, and it is difficult to adapt to complex walls. Therefore, by studying the multi-media magnetic circuit conduction mechanism, a permanent magnetic adsorption wheel with a magnet array arrangement was designed in this study and applied to a hinge-type wall-climbing robot. By analyzing the influence of structural parameters on the adsorption performance and optimization design, a magnetic wheel structure with a symmetric structure that can meet a variety of adsorption requirements was obtained. To analyze the mechanical characteristics of the wall-climbing robot under complex facade conditions, we researched the adsorption performance of the designed magnetic wheel in different wall structures. Finally, the adhesion force of the magnetic wheel was verified through experimental measurements, and it was found that the hinged wall-climbing robot could adapt to different structural features and complete wall-transition and obstacle-crossing movements.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of Cronobacter spp. in commercial powdered infant formula (PIF) from nine provinces in China from March 2018 to September 2020, and to reveal the genotype, biofilm-forming ability, and antibiotic susceptibility of these isolates. A total of 27 Cronobacter strains, consisting of 22 Cronobacter sakazakii strains, 3 Cronobacter malonaticus strains, 1 Cronobacter turicensis strain, and 1 Cronobacter dublinensis strain, were isolated from 3,600 commercial PIF samples with a prevalence rate of 0.75%. Compared with the other 8 provinces, PIF from Shaanxi province had a higher prevalence rate (1.25%) of Cronobacter spp. These isolates were divided into 14 sequence types (STs), and 6 Cronobacter serotypes. The main Cronobacter STs were ST4, ST1, and ST64, and the dominant Cronobacter serotype was C. sakazakii serotype O2. Approximately 88.89% of Cronobacter isolates had a strong ability (OD595 > 1) to form biofilms on tinplate, among which the strains with ST4 were more dominant. All isolates were susceptible to ampicillin-sulbactam, ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, sulfadiazine, sulfadoxine, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, gentamicin, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, and colistin, while 55.56 and 96.30% isolates were resistant to cephalothin and vancomycin, respectively. Taken together, our findings highlighted the contamination status and characterization of Cronobacter spp. in commercial PIF from nine provinces of China, and provided guidance for the effective prevention and control of this pathogen in the production of PIF.

Abstract This systematic review aimed at investigating longitudinal changes in human milk bioactive protein concentrations in Chinese population. Both English and Chinese databases were searched. The data were pooled into six defined lactation stages. Weighted means of protein concentrations in each stage and the statistical significance of means of different lactation stages were calculated. The data of 11 bioactive proteins were retrieved. Concentrations of sIgA, IgM, and IgG decreased sharply during the first 14 days of lactation. The levels of α‐lactalbumin, lactoferrin, and β‐casein also decreased throughout lactation. Conversely, lysozyme levels increased over lactation. The changing patterns of the serum albumin, osteopontin, and bile salt‐stimulated lipase (BSSL) were not conclusive. This study represents the most comprehensive summary of bioactive proteins in Chinese human milk. In the future, mass spectrometry‐based analysis of human milk proteomics may be used to investigate the longitudinal changes of many more bioactive proteins.

The postharvest shelf life of fresh corn largely depends on the packaging method and storage temperature. This study investigated the effect of vacuum packaging (VP) with high-barrier (HB) or ordinary (OR) nylon/nylon/polypropylene (PP) composite films and the impact of storage temperature (4, 25, and 38 °C) on the shelf life of fresh corn. The sensory quality and color changes of the corn were evaluated, indicating a significant improvement in the glossiness (GL), sourness (SO), and color changes compared to corn packaged using OR films. The results showed that the HB films preserved corn freshness under refrigerated and normal temperature storage conditions, delaying color changes and SO development. A shelf-life model was established based on the Arrhenius equation. The predicted values of the corn at different temperatures were compared with the experimental data, indicating that the model could accurately predict the shelf life. The shelf life observed via sensory evaluation was more than 50% shorter than the results obtained by instrumental measurements. Therefore, sensory evaluation could be applied to determine shelf life and avoid food waste.

Abstract Background Bempedoic acid is a new drug that reduces cholesterol synthesis via inhibiting ATP citrate lyase. It remains unclear whether the combination of bempedoic acid and other lipid-lowering drugs is better than these drugs alone. This study systematically reviewed the efficacy and safety of bempedoic acid monotherapy or combination togethers in hypercholesterolemic patients. Methods Randomized controlled trials were searched across Medline, Embase, Cochrane library, web of science, etc. The net change scores [least squares mean (LSM) percentage change] in LDL-C level were meta-analyzed using weighted mean difference. The reductions in other lipids including total cholesterol (TC), non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) and apolipoprotein (ApoB) and high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP) were also assessed. Odds ratio (OR) of the incidence of adverse events (AEs) were calculated to evaluate the safety of bempedoic acid. Results A total of 13 trials (4858 participates) were included. Pooled data showed that the combination togethers resulted in greater reductions in LDL-C level than monotherapies (bempedoic acid + statin vs. statin: LSM difference (%), − 18.37, 95% CI, − 20.16 to − 16.57, I2 = 0; bempedoic acid + ezetimibe vs. ezetimibe: LSM difference (%), − 18.89, 95% CI, − 29.66 to − 8.13, I2 = 87%). But the difference in efficacy between bempedoic acid and ezetimibe was not obvious. Meta-regression analysis showed the treatment duration was a source of heterogeneity (adj R2 = 16.92, 95% CI, 0.04 to 0.72). Furthermore, the background therapy of statin before screening decreased the efficacy of bempedoic acid. In addition, bempedoic acid also resulted in a significant reduction in TC, non-HDL-C, ApoB and hsCRP level. The OR of muscle-related AEs by the combination of bempedoic acid and statin was 1.29 (95% CI, 1.00 to 1.67, I2 = 0) when compared with statin alone. Conclusion This study showed the efficacy of combination togethers were similar but stronger than these drugs alone. Of note, a trend of high risk of muscle-related AEs by the combination of bempedoic acid and statin was observed, though it is not statistically significant, such risk is needed to be confirmed by more trials, because it is important for us to determine which is the better combinative administration for statin-intolerant patients.

Background Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) targeting programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1)/programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) pathway has become an attractive strategy for cancer treatment; however, unsatisfactory efficacy has limited its clinical benefits. Therefore, a more comprehensive understanding of the regulation of PD-L1 expression is essential for developing more effective cancer immunotherapy. Recent studies have revealed the important roles of eukaryotic elongation factor 2 kinase (eEF2K) in promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), angiogenesis, tumor cell migration and invasion; nevertheless, the exact role of eEF2K in the regulation of tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) remains largely unknown.Methods In this study, we used a cohort of 38 patients with melanoma who received anti-PD-1 treatment to explore the association between eEF2K expression and immunotherapy efficacy against melanoma. Immunoprecipitation-mass spectrometry analysis and in vitro assays were used to examine the role and molecular mechanism of eEF2K in regulating PD-L1 expression. We also determined the effects of eEF2K on tumor growth and cytotoxicity of CD8+ T cells in TIME in a mouse melanoma model. We further investigated the efficacy of the eEF2K inhibition in combination with anti-PD-1 treatment in vivo.Results High eEF2K expression is correlated with better therapeutic response and longer survival in patients with melanoma treated with PD-1 monoclonal antibody (mAb). Moreover, eEF2K protein expression is positively correlated with PD-L1 protein expression. Mechanistically, eEF2K directly bound to and inactivated glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β) by phosphorylating it at serine 9 (S9), leading to PD-L1 protein stabilization and upregulation, and subsequently tumor immune evasion. Knockdown of eEF2K decreased PD-L1 expression and enhanced CD8+ T cell activity, thus dramatically attenuating murine B16F10 melanoma growth in vivo. Clinically, p-GSK3β/S9 expression is positively correlated with the expressions of eEF2K and PD-L1, and the response to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy. Furthermore, eEF2K inhibitor, NH125 treatment or eEF2K knockdown enhanced the efficacy of PD-1 mAb therapy in a melanoma mouse model.Conclusions Our results suggest that eEF2K may serve as a biomarker for predicting therapeutic response and prognosis in patients receiving anti-PD-1 therapy, reveal a vital role of eEF2K in regulating TIME by controlling PD-L1 expression and provide a potential combination therapeutic strategy of eEF2K inhibition with ICB therapy.

Since infant formula (IF) manufacturers aim to produce a product as close to breast milk as possible, fortified nutrients are usually added. Generally, an IF is produced by adjusting the types and proportions of vitamins and minerals. This study comparatively examined the content of the six nutrients in different compound forms in vivo and evaluated the effect of different nutrient pack groups on immunity and growth. The results indicated that the simulated-human milk nutrients [minerals zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), calcium (Ca), and vitamins A, E, and B1] were more easily absorbed by the body while effectively regulating immunity. This study provides a scientific foundation for developing, manufacturing, and applying imitation-breast formula milk powder.

The primary objective of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of ultrasonic treatment time on the particle size, molecular weight, microstructure and solubility of milk fat globule membrane (rich in phospholipid, MPL) and milk protein concentrate (MPC). The mimicking human fat emulsions were prepared using modified proteins and compound vegetable oil and the structural, emulsifying properties and encapsulation efficiency of emulsions were evaluated. After ultrasonic treatment, the cavitation caused particle size decreased and structure change of both MPL and MPC, resulting in the enhancement of protein solubility. While, there was no significant change in molecular weight. Modified proteins by ultrasonic may cause a reduction in particle size and an improvement in emulsifying stability and encapsulation efficiency of emulsions. The optimal ultrasonic time to improve functional properties of MPL emulsion and MPC emulsion were 3 min and 6 min, respectively. The emulsifying stability of MPL emulsion was superior to MPC emulsion, which indicated that MPL is more suitable as membrane material to simulate human fat. Therefore, the obtained results can provide basis for quality control of infant formula.

The kinds and proportions of triglycerides of human mature milk play an independent role in the growth of infants. In this study, the human milk samples obtained from eight different Chinese cities (Chengdu, Weihai, Lanzhou, Jinhua, Beijing, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, and Harbin) and six sequential mature lactation times (30, 60, 90, 120, 150, and 180 days) were detected for the triglycerides. The result demonstrated that total 66 triglycerides were detected in mature human milk, with acyl carbon number (ACN) numbers were locating in the range of 34–54 and double bond (DB) numbers were locating in the range of 0–6. In addition, the percentage of OPO, OPL, and OOO was relatively higher than others, accounted for more than 4% of total triglycerides in all the lactation areas and times, and the percentage of U2S and LLL triglycerides was also richest in mature milk. Furthermore, it was obvious that lactation regions had more significant effect on the triglycerides compared with lactation time and the triacylglycerols (TAGs) of human milk in Guangzhou were clearly different from that in other regions. Therefore, the results of this study will provide data reference for the design of infant formula suitable for Chinese babies.

Protein, as one of the main ingredients for infant formula, may be closely related to the undesirable foam formed during the reconstitution of infant formula. Demineralized whey powder (D70 and D90), whey protein concentrate (WPC), and skimmed milk powder (SMP) are the four protein ingredients commonly used in infant formula formulation. The foaming and physicochemical properties of these four protein ingredients from different manufacturers were analyzed in the present study. Significant differences (p < 0.05) in foaming properties were found between the samples from different manufacturers. SMP showed a highest foaming capacity (FC) and foam stability (FS), followed by D70, D90, and WPC. Although the protein composition was similar based on reducing SDS-PAGE, the aggregates varied based on non-reducing SDS-PAGE, probably resulting in the different foaming properties. Particle size, zeta potential, and solubility of the protein ingredients were assessed. The protein structure was evaluated by circular dichroism, surface hydrophobicity, and free sulfhydryl. Pearson’s correlation analysis demonstrated that FC and FS were positively correlated with random coil (0.55 and 0.74), β-turn (0.53 and 0.73), and zeta potential (0.55 and 0.51) but negatively correlated with β-strand (−0.56 and −0.71), free sulfhydryl (−0.56 and −0.63), particle size (−0.45 and −0.53), and fat content (−0.50 and −0.49). The results of this study could provide a theoretical guidance for reducing formation of foam of infant formula products during reconstitution.

In dual-fiber optical traps, two counter-propagating laser beams emitted from opposing laser fibers trap and manipulate particles. We describe the operation and performance of a dual-fiber optical trap created using spherical-tapered ended fiber pigtailed to 1436 nm laser diodes. Compared with the dual flat ended fiber optical trap, the dual spherical-tapered ended fiber optical trap increased the axial stiffness from 0.44 pN/µm to 0.99 pN/µm, and increased the lateral stiffness from 1.68 pN/µm to 1.76 pN/µm. The dual-fiber optical trap fabricated by spherical-tapered ended fiber enhanced the trapping efficiency of the optical trap. It expanded the application range and reliability of the dual-fiber optical trap. Additionally, we integrated the dual-fiber optical trap into an optical chip, thereby improving the stability of the system.

A cylindrical resonator gyroscope is a kind of Coriolis gyroscope, which measures angular velocity or angle via processing of the standing wave. The symmetry of a cylindrical resonator is destroyed by different degrees of geometric nonuniformity and structural damage in the machining process. The uneven mass distribution caused by the asymmetry of the resonator can be expressed in the form of a Fourier series. The first three harmonics will reduce the anti-interference ability of the resonator to the external vibration, as well as increase the angular random walk and zero-bias drift of the gyroscope. In this paper, the frequency split of different modes caused by the first three harmonic errors and the displacement of the center of the cylindrical resonator bottom plate are obtained by simulation, and the relationship between them is explored. The experimental results on five fused silica cylindrical resonators are consistent with the simulation, confirming the linear relationship between the n = 1 frequency split and second harmonic error. A method for evaluating the first three harmonic errors of fused silica cylindrical resonators is provided.

Human milk (HM) is the golden standard of infant nutrition that can protect immature body function and enhance nutrition metabolism to ensure infant growth. Region specificity and lactation period could change the protein composition in HM. In this research, proteomics analysis was used to compare proteomes across eight cities, namely Harbin, Lanzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Jinhua, Weihai, Zhengzhou, and Beijing, which represented the northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest, east, and north and central regions of China,. Proteins varied significantly among the cities. These different proteins were mainly involved in the process of platelet degranulation, innate immune response, and triglyceride metabolic process, which might be due to different living environments. These differences also lead to variation in protection and fat metabolism from mothers to infants in different cities. Four proteins were expressed differently during 6 months of lactation, namely Dipeptidyl peptidase 1, Lysozyme C, Carbonic anhydrase 6, and Chordin-like protein 2. The changes in these proteins might be because of the change of growth needs of the infants. The findings from our results might help to improve the understanding of HM as well as to design infant formula.

BackgroundThe infant’s intestine contains diverse microbiota, which play an important role in an infant’s health.ObjectiveThis study aimed to analyze the different intestinal microbiota and their function in two delivery modes [vaginal delivery and cesarean section (C-section)] and to investigate the proprieties of bacteria associated with vaginal delivery on the development of intestinal epithelial cells in rat pups.Materials and MethodsWe evaluated the intestinal microbial diversity of the stool samples of 51 infants of subjects who underwent vaginal delivery and C-section by sequencing the V4 regions of the 16S rRNA gene and predicted the function of the microbiotas. The infant stool microbiota in the vaginal delivery group was associated with the digestive system and cell growth and death, whereas that of the C-section group was associated with membrane transport. Then, we isolated the strains based on function prediction.ResultsA total of 95 strains were isolated in the vaginal delivery group. Bifidobacterium bifidum FL-228.1 (FL-228.1) was screened and selected owing to its good surface hydrophobicity, bacterial survivability in the simulated gastrointestinal condition and adhesion ability to the IEC-6 cell line as well as owing to the development of intestinal epithelial cells. Furthermore, in vivo experiments revealed that FL-228.1 exhibited favorable effects on the development of intestinal epithelial cells in rat pups.ConclusionThe results of this study indicate an apparent difference in the bacterial composition of the stool samples collected from infants of the two delivery modes. By analyzing and screening the bacteria in infant stool samples, we found that one strain, i.e., B bifidum FL-228.1, exhibited favorable effects on the development of intestinal epithelial cells.

Abstract Background Baricitinib, an oral-administrated selective inhibitor of the JAK1 and JAK2, is recently approved for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment. With the aim to provide some insights on the clinical safety, the current study mainly focused on the effect of baricitinib on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels and cardiovascular risk. Methods The net change scores [least squares mean (LSM) and mean change] of LDL-C and HDL-C levels from baseline with the comparison of baricitinib versus placebo were pooled, respectively. Risk rations (RR) of major cardiovascular events (MACEs) and differences of cardiovascular risk scores at the end of treatment across groups were compared. Results Six trials with randomized 3552 patients were finally included in summary analysis. Results showed that baricitinib significantly increased LDL-C levels, the net mean change was 13.15 mg/dl with 95% CI 8.89~17.42 (I2 = 0) and the net LSM was 11.94 mg/dl with 95% CI 7.52~16.37 (I2 = 84%). HDL-C also increased obviously with the net LSM change was 7.19 mg/dl (95% CI, 6.05~8.33, I2 = 47%) and net mean change was 5.40 mg/dl (95% CI, 3.07~7.74, I2 = 10%). Subgroup and meta-regression analysis demonstrated baricitinib induced LDL-C and HDL-C increases in a dose-response manner. However, both the pooled RRs of MACEs and differences of cardiovascular risk scores were not statistically significant across groups. Conclusion This study confirmed that baricitinib induced a stable dose-response increase in LDL-C and HDL-C levels. Since the causality association between altered lipids and cardiovascular risk was not identified yet, this issue cannot be completely dismissed. Future research is needed to fully dissect the implications of these lipid changes.

The metabolomic profiles of Chinese human milk have been poorly documented. The objective of the study was to explore associations between human milk metabotypes, maternal adiposity, infant growth patterns, and risk of allergies. Two hundred mother–infant dyads from seven cities were randomly selected from the Chinese Human Milk Project (CHMP). Untargeted human milk metabolomic profiles were determined using HPLC-MS/MS. Two human milk metabotypes were identified using principal component analysis. Principal component (PC) 1 was characterized by high linoleic acid metabolites with low purine nucleosides and metabolites of glutamate and glutathione metabolism. PC 2 was characterized by high glycerophospholipids and sphingomyelins content. Higher PC1 scores were associated with slower infant growth rate and higher ambient temperature (p < 0.05). Higher PC 2 scores were related to higher maternal BMI and increased risk of infant allergies (p < 0.05). Future work is needed to understand the biologic mechanisms of these human milk metabotypes.

This systematic review aimed to examine differences in growth outcomes between breastfed infants and infants fed with formula with different protein/energy ratios during the first six months of life. We conducted a systematic review in the PubMed, Web of Science, and Springer databases. Twenty clinical trials qualified for inclusion. We extracted data about the growth outcomes of infants who were exclusive breastfed or exclusively infant formula fed in the first six months and used a meta-analysis to pool the finding data. We categorized study formulas into four groups according to their protein content: 2.2 g/100 kcal. In the first month of life, growth was not different between formula- and breastfed infants. During 2–3 months of life, growth was faster in infants who consumed formulas with protein contents higher than 2.0 g/100 kcal. After 3 months, formula-fed infants grew faster than breastfed infants. Our meta-analysis indicated that the growth outcomes of infants fed with infant formula with a relatively low protein/energy ratios, compared with that a relatively high protein/energy ratio, were close to those of breastfed infants.

Gray blight disease is one of the most destructive diseases of tea plants and occurs widely in the tea-growing areas of the world. It is caused by several fungal phytopathogens, of which Pseudopestalotiopsis camelliae-sinensis is the main pathogen in China. The environmentally friendly antimicrobial, phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA), a metabolite of the natural soil-borne bacteria Pseudomonas spp., can inhibit a range of fungal crop diseases. In this study, we determined that PCA was active against Ps. camelliae-sinensis in vitro. We studied the mode of action of PCA on hyphae using a microscopic investigation, transcriptomics, biochemical methods, and molecular docking. The results of scanning and transmission electron microscopy indicated that PCA caused developmental deformity of mycelia and organelle damage, and it significantly decreased the accumulation of exopolysaccharides on the hyphal surface. The transcriptome revealed that 1705 and 1683 differentially expressed genes of Ps. camelliae-sinensis treated with PCA were up-regulated or down-regulated, respectively, with genes associated with ribosome biogenesis, oxidative phosphorylation, and encoding various proteins of N-glycan biosynthesis being significantly up-regulated. Up-regulation of nine genes related to N-glycan biosynthesis of Ps. camelliae-sinensis in response to PCA treatment was confirmed by reverse transcription qPCR. The enzymatic activity of catalase and superoxide dismutase of hyphae was significantly decreased by PCA treatment. Our results indicated that exposure to PCA resulted in expression changes in oxidoreductase genes, accumulation of reactive oxygen species, and decreased activity of catalase, with concomitant damage to the fungal cell membrane and cell wall.

To solve the problems that the theoretical analysis of Halbach array magnetic circuit is insufficient and that calculating the magnetic adsorption force of a permanent magnet by using the magnetic node method is complex, the magnetic flux density of a Halbach array magnetic circuit composed of multiple permanent magnets with perpendicular magnetization directions is calculated. On the basis of the concentrated magnetic phenomenon of the ferromagnetic material and the end effect of the permanent magnet, a method for calculating the magnetic adsorption force of the Halbach array magnetic circuit by using the equivalent magnetic flux density is proposed, and the variation trend of magnetic adsorption force after changing the parameters of the magnetic circuit is obtained. ANSYS software is used to analyze several magnetic circuits that produce large magnetic adsorption force, a magnetic circuit structure that produces the largest magnetic adsorption force is determined, and the permanent magnetic adsorption device of the wall-climbing robot is improved. The magnetic adsorption force of the wall-climbing robot before and after the improvement of the permanent magnetic adsorption device is measured through experiments. The experimental results show that the magnetic adsorption force after the improvement is increased by 24.63% compared to before the improvement.
