SCIENTIFIC literature ,CRONBACH'S alpha ,SOCIAL marginality ,INVERSE relationships (Mathematics) ,PHYSICAL fitness ,BULLYING ,SCHOOL bullying - Abstract
In recent years, there has been a notable increase in bullying rates in school. Bullying is characterized as a repeated set of malicious actions by an individual or group toward another individual in an imbalanced power dynamic, resulting in physical, psychological, social, or material harm to the victim, with the intention of causing social exclusion. The scientific literature has investigated the factors that influence this type of behavior, environmental factors, such as school location and student age, as well as other factors, such as gender and level of physical fitness, also play an important role. This study examined the correlation between motor self-efficacy and bullying, considering that physical activity acts as a regulator in these cases. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was employed to assess the normality of the data distribution, and Spearman's Rho test was used to analyze the relationship between each dimension of the EBIPQ and E-AEM scores. The Cronbach's alpha was used to evaluate the reliability of each instrument. The results indicated a significant inverse correlation between the EBIP-Q and E-AEM in the variables of sex, educational stage and school environment. In conclusion, an inverse correlation was observed betweenmotor self-efficacy and bullying, indicating that higher levels of motor self-efficacy are related to lower levels of bullying victimization. Motor self-efficacy could be used as a tool to reduce bullying situations at school. It would be important for government policies to encourage the practice of physical activity in all areas of life in order to improve motor self-efficacy and end bullying. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The confinement caused by the current health situation has unleashed an increase in sedentary behaviors in childhood, causing uncertainty about the effects that have impacted their child development. The objective of the study was to determine the effects of sedentary behavior on the level of physical activity and development of executive functions in second cycle basic students during the confinement caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodology was descriptive, having a quantitative approach and the data collection was carried out through two questionnaires applied to 41 students in an age range between 10 to 12 years, belonging to educational establishments in the Maule region, Ñuble. and Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins in Chile. The main results indicate that sedentary behaviors influence the level of physical activity as well as the improvement of executive functions, regardless of geographic location, sex or age. It is concluded that it is necessary to promote actions aimed at using more of the free time to practice physical activity, with the intention of breaking sedentary habits and increasing their levels in order to reduce the negative consequences that this type of behavior can bring., El confinamiento, producto de la situación sanitaria actual, ha desatado un aumento en las conductas sedentarias en la etapa de infancia, provocando incertidumbre ante los efectos que han impactado su desarrollo infantil.

- Abstract
Physical performance is more than just a motor representation; it has to do with the conjunction of factors and aspects of the performer's personality, and their social interaction, based on a knowledge of what they do. In order to explain and analyse the concept of Physical Literacy (PL), from its origins and components, a narrative review was carried out, using different data sources (EBSCO, Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, IPLA, The Aspen Institute). To identify the situation in Chile, the national curriculum and other plans that addressed the life cycle in relation to physical activity were reviewed. Evidence of discussion, implementation and evaluation of physical literacy was identified, coming mainly from Anglo contexts (United Kingdom, Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa), as well as Europe (Netherlands), Asia (India, China) and South America. /Colombia, Venezuela). No evidence of an approach to PL was found in the Chilean context, although there are programs that seek to improve quality of life through the practice of physical activity. The meanings and scope of the PL invite us to discuss movement decisions, giving meaning and rationale to that decision, considering confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding of assuming the practice of physical activity for life.

- Abstract
The research aimed to analyze how the initial training of a Physical Education (PE) Pedagogy career in Chile addresses the issue of evaluation and what is its influence and impact on teaching action in daily practice. It is a qualitative-quantitative study of the descriptive type, using the questionnaire with closed questions, semi-structured interview and focus group as data collection instruments. 53 people participated in the research, including 29 interns, 10 professors and 14 graduates. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative data using content analysis, with the help of the Nvivo 10 software. The analyzes were performed through a priori categories, including: Applicability of the evaluation at school; Evaluation in initial training; Organization of the evaluation. The results indicate that there is an incipient and fragile concept of evaluation, focused on performance and the quantitative result of learning away from school reality. It is concluded that the evaluation in the PE teacher training process at the researched university moves away from the field of practice, pointing to the need for reconfigurations in the training guidelines and, in particular, in the curricular structure that makes up the body of knowledge of the future teacher., La investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar cómo la formación inicial de una carrera de Pedagogía en Educación Física (EF) en Chile aborda el tema de la evaluación y cuál es su influencia e impacto en la acción docente en la práctica cotidiana.

- Abstract
Gender stereotypes are the set of social beliefs, attributable to people depending on their biological sex: femininity for them and masculinity for them. The objectives of this study are to know the psychometric properties of the Inventory of Sexual Roles of Bem in a sample of students of Physical Education of Chile and to study the incidence of sociodemographic variables on gender roles in the sample. The sample consisted of 240 students of Physical Education of Chile, to whom this instrument was applied. The results show that the inventory has adequate levels of validity and reliability in the sample studied. Women have a higher level of masculinity and femininity compared to men. Sexual orientation, sex education, religious beliefs or income do not affect the levels of masculinity and femininity in the sample. It is concluded that the instrument is valid and reliable to be applied to this type of samples and that it is necessary to study other sociodemographic aspects that could predict male and female behaviors and attitudes in physical education students., Los estereotipos de género son el conjunto de creencias sociales, atribuibles a las personas dependiendo de su sexo biológico: la femineidad para ellas y la masculinidad para ellos.

- Abstract
Various studies relate variables such as age, sex, socioeconomic level, religion, etc. with levels of homophobia and transphobia. The aim of this research is to determine the incidence of some sociodemographic variables and biological knowledge about homosexuality and transsexuality on the levels of homophobia and transphobia in physical education students in Chile. Method: a sociodemographic survey was applied, the scale of homophobia EHF-10, the scale of negative attitudes towards trans people and the questionnaire of biological knowledge of homosexuality and transsexuality to 463 students of Pedagogy in Physical Education from six universities in Chile. Results: The levels of homophobia and transphobia are low in the sample, being the coexistence with friends/ or known/ homosexual, bisexual and trans, and the religious beliefs the factors that most affect those negative attitudes. A negative and low relationship was observed between biological knowledge of homosexuality and transsexuality and levels of homophobia and transphobia. Conclusion: The sample has low levels of homophobia and transphobia. There are also low biological knowledge values of homosexuality and transsexuality, with a low and negative relationship between such knowledge and negative attitudes towards homosexuals and transgender people., Diversos estudios relacionan variables como la edad, sexo, nivel socioeconómico, religión, etc. con los niveles de homofobia y transfobia.

Chile has not yet conducted studies on physical education teacher training programs which examine enrollment trends for that college major based on a gender approach. This study examines female and male enrollment trends for physical education teacher training programs throughought Chile´s universities. The study was executed using a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, retrospective and exploratory-descriptive design. Data pertaining to college training programs spanning 2005 to 2109 was used from official open-access sources. Study results of the study, reveal a reduction in the number of women that enroll to become PE Teacher-Training majors, thereby emphasizing a significant gender gap inconsistent with teacher training programs in other disciplines as well as student university enrollment, in general. This is a distinct reflection of the persistence of masculine hegemony in physical education teacher training programs in Chile.

The objective is to understand the conceptions that Physical Education teachers have about Activities in Nature (ACN) that occur in the school context. The research is based on the interpretive paradigm with qualitative methodology, in which a semi-structured interview was applied to 12 high school Physical Education teachers in the city of Talca-Chile. The results indicate that these activities, among other things, contribute to a greater environmental awareness on the part of students, enabling the realization of different bodily practices in the natural environment. It is concluded that teachers need more training in the area, as the ACN become a pedagogical strategy that privileges autonomy, reflection and the development of values, fundamental issues for the integral development of young people and adolescents. - Abstract
The objective was to evaluate the trend of physical activity (PA) and cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF) in a Department of Health in Chile between 2015 and 2019. Records of people ≥15 years of age were analysed to determine the trend of PA, nutritional status, cardiometabolic diseases and lifestyles. The probability that these variables occurred over the years was calculated. A tendency to decrease in PA was found in all cases, in men and women, and an increase in CVRF for all cases and in women; between 2015 and 2019, there was a certain stability in men. Women who consulted for PA in July-September 2019 were more likely to do so compared to men (OR: 2.09, p < .001), women with obesity (OR: 1.81, p < .0001), overweight (OR: 1.91, p < .0001), hypertension (OR: 1.15, p = .01), high blood glucose (OR: 1.36, p < .0001) and smoking (OR: 2.4, p < .0001) were more likely to suffer them compared to men in April-June 2019. It is concluded that the highest and lowest periods in the cases of PA and CVRF could be known, and the probability that these occurred over time could be estimated. PA can be important for the control and treatment of CVRF.

- Abstract
Introduction: In Chile the first case of COVID-19 was diagnosed on March 3, 2020 and on the eighteenth of the same month the president decreed state of catastrophe, so that classes at school and university level went from the presence to the virtuality. The present study aims to know the level of satisfaction of the virtual classes of the students of Physical Education. Methodology: Quantitative, non experimental, transversal. The sample consisted of 542 students of Physical Education from different study houses in Chile. The Satisfaction scale online classes was adapted and validated. Results: there are significant differences comparing theoretical and practical subjects, with theoretical chairs being better valued. Differences were also found by sex, where males have a more negative perception about virtual classes and when comparing by course, freshmen have a more positive perception about virtual classes in relation to higher courses. Conclusions: there is a resistance on the part of students to virtual classes in Physical Education, because, although significant differences were found between the theoretical and practical subjects, values were always around 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. Future research with other variables such as physical activity, stress levels and strategies for the teaching of Virtual Physical Education are necessary.
