Water quality in freshwaters is declining worldwide due to increases in human populations, expansion of agricultural activities, and climate change. There are quite a number of regions of the world, Africa inclusive, that are understudied, and little to no baseline information exists related to water quality. This study was focused on the Bua River in Malawi, which supports sustenance fishing and basic needs for local communities. A portion of the river has elevated levels of protection because it is found within the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve. The focus of this study was to understand the spatial-temporal variations of water quality at five sites in the Bua River from May 2018 to June 2020 capturing the three main seasons (warm wet, cool dry, and hot dry). Although other water quality parameters did not vary spatially. Spatially, the Bua River mouth registered the highest values of Soluble reactive phosphorus and the Bua River upstream had the lowest. However, there were greater temporal differences across seasons for water temperature, water pH, and chlorophyll a. For instance, chlorophyll-a was higher during the hot dry season (3.28 µgL-1) compared to the cool dry season (2.10 µgL-1) and warm wet season (1.91 µgL-1). Water transparency, as measured by secchi depth was lowest during the warm wet season, which coincides with higher concentrations in SRP. All measurements of salt content, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and salinity) were higher during the hot dry season and correlated negatively with SRP. Similarly, bicarbonate and alkalinity were also higher during the hot dry season. Principle Component Analysis indicated that the parameters responsible for variations of Bua River water quality are mainly related to soluble minerals, water temperature, and surface runoff associated with agricultural activities and domestic waste accounting for 78.49 % of the total variance in the data set.

Bu çalışma, Ladik ve Simenlik Gölleri’nden örneklenmiş ve ekonomik değeri oldukça yüksek olan turna balığının (Esox lucius) total boyu ve otolit özellikleri arasındaki ilişkileri incelemek ve otolit şekil indeks değerlerini saptamak için gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplamda 140 örnek (Ladik Gölü: 82 birey, Simenlik Gölü: 58 birey) örneklenmiştir. Otolit eni, boyu, çevresi ve alanı görüntü analiz programı ile belirlenmiştir. Otolit ölçümleri ve balık total boyu arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesinde doğrusal ve doğrusal olmayan ilişkilerden faydalanılmıştır. Otolit şekil analizleri için Şekil Faktörü, Yuvarlaklık, Dairesellik, Dikdörtgensellik, En-Boy Oranı ve Eliptiklik parametreleri kullanılmıştır. Her iki lokalite için de otolit ölçümleri ve balık boyu arasındaki ilişkilerde otolit boyunun en yüksek r2 değerine sahip olduğu bulunmuştur (Ladik Gölü r2=0,949, Simenlik Gölü r2=0,914). Otolit şekil indeksleri otolit ölçümleri kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Şekil indekslerinin lokaliteler arasında karşılaştırma sonuçlarına göre, Yuvarlaklık, Eliptiklik ve En-Boy Oranı parametrelerinin önemli derecede farklı olduğu bulunmuştur. Sonuçlar, turna popülasyonlarının ayrım için otolit şekil indekslerinin kullanışlı bir araç olduğunu belirtmektedir., This study was carried out to investigate the relationships between total length and otolith dimensions and to detect the otolith shape index values of Northern pike (Esox lucius) which has high economic value, sampled from Ladik and Simenlik Lakes. A total of 140 specimens (Lake Ladik: 82 individuals, Lake Simenlik: 58 individuals) were sampled. Otolith height, length, perimeter, and area were determined by Imaging Software. Nonlinear and linear models were applied to estimate the relationships between the otolith measurements and total length. Form factor, circularity, roundness, rectangularity, aspect ratio, and ellipticity were used for otolith shape analyses. It was found that the relationship between the total length-otolith length was found to have the highest r2 value (Lake Ladik r2=0.949, Lake Simenlik r2=0.914) among the total length-otolith morphometrics at both localities. Otolith shape indices were calculated by using otolith measurements. The spatio-temporal variations of phytoplankton diversity of the ‘de-mineralized’ sacred Thadlaskein Lake of Meghalaya state of northeast India are monitored based on analyses of the littoral and limnetic assemblages. Our study reveals a total of 51 species, depicts notable desmid diversity, and records the speciose constellation of 49 species per sample. Phytoplankton indicates importance vis-a-vis net plankton abundance and exhibits quantitative dominance of Charophyta; Chlorophyta > Bacillariophyta > Dinozoa > Chrysophyta are sub-dominant groups, and Cyanobacteria and Euglenozoa record poor densities. Closterium spp., Cosmarium spp., Scenedesmus spp. and Staurastrum spp. are noteworthy taxa, and eleven species contribute notably to phytoplankton abundance. Our results depict high species diversity, lower dominance and high evenness. Individual abiotic factors exert the differential spatial influence on phytoplankton, and register the relative importance of the rainfall, transparency and total hardness, while the CCA registers the moderate cumulative influence of 10 abiotic factors on the littoral and limnetic assemblages. The spatial variations of various aspects of phytoplankton diversity and the influence of abiotic factors are hypothesized to the habitat heterogeneity amongst the two regions. The present study is a useful contribution to the phytoplankton diversity of India and that of the subtropical lacustrine environs of the country.

This study was carried out between June and September 2018 to identify the macrobenthic invertebrate fauna of Karagöl and Çiniligöl which are high altitude lakes in Bolkar Mountains (Niğde). As a result of the systematic examination of the collected benthic samples; macrobenthic fauna of Karagöl consist of 30 taxa belonging to 14 families out of 11 orders (Sphaeriida, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hygrophila, Hemiptera, Rhynchobdellida, Odonata, Haplotaksida, Lumbriculida, Trichoptera, Amphipoda) and macrobenthic invertebrate fauna of Çiniligöl composed of 11 taxa belonging to 7 families out of 7 orders (Sphaeriida, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Rhynchobdellida, Haplotaksida, Trichoptera). Except for Allogamus auricollis, Paranais frici and Potamothrix hammoniensis species among the determined taxa, others are new records for these localities. Determining the relationship between diversity of habitats, dominance and population density index was used. According to the results of the Shannon- Wiener (H'), Simpson (S) and Margalef (DMg) indexes used in the calculation of the species diversity and species richness in habitats, the highest diversity is the Karagöl coast station with values of 3.07, 0.94 and 5.54, respectively. According to the dominance (SD) index results, the highest value was determined as Çiniligöl bottom station with 0.23. According to the results of the Shannon (EH) and Simpson (ES) indexes used in the population density relationship, the highest value was calculated as Karagöl bottom with 0.87 and 0.13, and the lowest value as 0.72 and 0.03, respectively. Cluster analysis based on the Sorensen and Ward’s analysis method was applied to show the similarities of the taxa and their distribution in the stations. Accordingly, the highest similarity was observed between the Karagöl coast and Çiniligöl coast stations (0.35), the lowest between the bottom and coast stations of Karagöl (0.15)., Bu çalışma, Bolkar Dağları'nda (Niğde) yüksek rakımlı göller olan Karagöl ve Çinili Göl’ün makrobentik omurgasız faunasını belirlemek amacıyla Haziran-Eylül 2018 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tespit edilen taksonlardan Allogamus auricollis, Paranais frici ve Potamothrix hammoniensis dışındakiler bu lokaliteler için yeni kayıt niteliğindedir. Habitatlar arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesinde tür çeşitliliği, dominantlık ve populasyon yoğunluk indeksleri kullanılmıştır. Buna göre habitatlardaki tür çeşitliliğin ve tür zenginliğinin hesaplanmasında kullanılan Shannon-Wiener (H’), Simpson (S) ve Margalef (DMg) indeks sonuçlarına göre en yüksek çeşitlilik sırasıyla 3,07, 0,94 ve 5,54 değerleri ile Karagöl kıyı istasyonunda, habitatlardaki dominantlığın belirlenmesinde kullanılan Simpson dominantlık (SD) indeks sonuçlarına göre ise en yüksek değer 0,23 ile Çiniligöl dip istasyonunda belirlenmiştir. Populasyon yoğunluk ilişkisinde kullanılan Shannon (EH) ve Simpson (ES) indeks sonuçlarına göre ise sırasıyla en yüksek değer 0,87 ve 0,13 ile Karagöl dip, en düşük değer 0,72 ve 0,03 ile Karagöl kıyı olarak hesaplanmıştır. Taksonların dağılımlarına göre istasyonlar arasındaki benzerlikleri belirlemek için Ward’s ve Sorensen metoduna dayalı Cluster analizi uygulanmıştır. Buna göre, en yüksek benzerlik Karagöl kıyı ve Çiniligöl kıyı istasyonları arasında (0,35), en düşük benzerlik ise Karagöl’ün dip ve kıyı istasyonları arasında (0,15) gözlenmiştir.

The present study was carried out in 27 streams of the southern part of the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats from January to December 2018. The outcomes show that there is an increase in the percentage of Ephemeroptera (71%) in the first order and there was a negligible fall in the abundance of the fourth-ordered stream. LSE results show a gradual increase of Plecoptera and a gradual decrease of Trichoptera and no such variations in Ephemeroptera. Variations in mesohabitat richness were highest in the run (38.38%) and it was lowest in silt (0.5%). To compare the taxa composition in Western and Eastern Ghats taxa, five different types of river basins were classified. The species richness and abundance were higher in Tampiraparani East flowing and Vamanapuram River basin communities (Western Ghats) than in the Eastern Ghats and this shows mega diversity of Western Ghats compared to the Eastern Ghats. The results of both cluster and ordination analysis also strongly support the discrimination between Western and Eastern Ghats diversity and distribution of EPT taxa.

Bafa Gölü, Türkiye'nin batısındaki en büyük göllerden biridir. Hem tarihsel hem de biyolojik çeşitlilik açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Büyük Menderes Nehri tarafından beslenen Bafa Gölü, nehrin taşıdığı kirletici faktörlerin zamanla biriktiği bir alan haline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda Bafa Gölü'nün karmaşık fizikokimyasal özellikleri değerlendirilmiş ve bir izleme modeli oluşturmak amacıyla su kalitesi sınıfları belirlenmiştir. Bu araştırmada, su örnekleri iki yıllık çalışma döneminde (2015-2017) Bafa Gölü'nde belirlenen sekiz farklı istasyondan aylık olarak alınmıştır. Su numunelerinde atmosfer basıncı, sıcaklık, pH, elektriksel iletkenlik, toplam çözünüş katı madde, tuzluluk, bulanıklık, çözünmüş oksijen, oksijen doygunluğu, biyolojik oksijen ihtiyacı, kimyasal oksijen ihtiyacı, amonyum, nitrat, nitrit, kalsiyum, sodyum, magnezyum, potasyum, klorür, sülfat, toplam fosfor ve toplam azot olmak üzere toplam 22 su kalite parametresi tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, Temel Bileşen Analizi (PCA), Kümeleme Analizi (CA) ve Pearson Korelasyon Analizi kullanılarak istatistiki olarak değerlendirilmiş ve çeşitli ulusal ve uluslararası kuruluşlar tarafından bildirilen limit değerler ile karşılaştırılmıştır. PCA sonuçlarına göre, üç faktör (PCA 1, PCA 2 and PCA 3) toplam varyansın %79,05'ini açıklarken CA sonuçlarıyla istatistiksel olarak anlamlı üç küme tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen analiz sonuçlarına göre, Bafa Gölü'nün yüksek miktarda kirliliğe maruz kaldığı ve Klee metodu ve Türkiye Su Kirliliği Kontrolü Yönetmeliği’ne göre genel olarak “Sınıf III-IV” su kalitesinde olduğu belirlenmiştir., Lake Bafa is one of the biggest lake in the western part of Turkey. It has a great importance in terms of both historical and biodiversity. Lake Bafa which was fed by Büyük Menderes River has become an area where the pollutant factors carried by the river accumulated over time. In this context, the complex physicochemical characteristics of Lake Bafa were evaluated and water quality classes were determined in order to constitute a monitoring pattern. In this research, the water samples were taken monthly from eight different stations located in the Lake Bafa during the two years study period (2015-2017). Total of 22 water quality parameters including atmospheric pressure, temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolution solids, salinity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, oxygen saturation, biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, chloride, sulphate total phosphorus and total nitrogen were investigated in water samples. The data obtained were statistically evaluated by using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Cluster Analysis (CA) and Pearson Correlation Analysis and compared with the limit values reported by various national and international organizations. According to the results PCA, three factors (PCA 1, PCA 2 and PCA 3) explained 79.05% of the total variance while CA results exhibited three statistically significant clusters. Overall the results suggested that Lake Bafa has been exposed to high amount of pollution and it is generally classified in “Class III-IV” water quality level based on both Klee’s method and Turkish Water Pollution Control Regulation.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of heavy metals in surface water, sediment and selected fish samples in New Calabar River. Samples for analyses were collected for six months across three stations between 08:00 and 12:00 hrs on each sampling day. Physicochemical parameters and metals in water, sediments and tissues of fishes were analyzed following standard procedure using a spectrophotometer. In surface waters, iron, nickel and zinc were above recommended limit while in sediments chromium, iron, nickel, lead and zinc were above the limit. No significant differences were observed in metal concentration in the tissues of the three species. The levels of heavy metals reported in Chrysichthys nigrodigitatus, Tilapia zilli and Papyrocranus afer were higher than that reported in surface waters and sediment, indicating bioaccumulation potentials of metals in fishes. Among the three species, the highest metal concentration was reported in the tissues of T. zilli followed by P. afer and C. nigrodigitatus. The presence of elevated non-essential metals like chromium and lead in fishery products of the New Calabar River requires regular assessment, regulatory and mitigative actions to reduce the burden of metal accumulation in human population through consumption of fishery products.

Bir göl yönetim uygulaması olan sediment taraması (uzaklaştırımı), Mogan Gölü’nün rekreaktif değerinin artırılması amacıyla zaman zaman gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sediment tarama faaliyetinden sonra; a) sedimentteki bazı ağır metal (Hg, As, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu ve Zn) konsantrasyonlarının belirlenmesi ve sediment kalite kriterlerine göre değerlendirilmesi b) göl sedimentindeki ağır metallerin potansiyel kaynaklarının bazı çok değişkenli istatistiksel analizler kullanarak tanımlanması c) güncel veriler bağlamında sediment taramasının etkinliğine ışık tutulması amaçlanmıştır. Gölde litoral bölgede; özellikle maden işleme tesisleri ile evsel kaynaklı atık suların (I. istasyon) ve evsel atık sular ile tarımsal faaliyet kaynaklı atık suların ulaştığı alanda (II. istasyon) seçilen iki istasyondan 2020 yılının Mayıs ve Kasım aylarında alınan yüzey sediment örneklerinde saptanan bulgulara göre, sedimentteki ortalama ağır metal konsantrasyonlarının dizilimi Cr>Cu>Zn>Ni>Pb>As>Cd>Hg şeklinde bulunmuştur. Cr, Ni ve As, ay-istasyonlara göre olası etki değerini (PEL) aşmış olup, göl sedimenti Cr, Ni, Cu ve As açısından çok kirli sınıfa girmektedir. Spearman korelasyon analizi sonuçlarına göre, Cu-Cd, Zn-Pb ve As-Cd, benzer antropojenik kaynaklar ile göle ulaşmaktadır. Temel bileşen analizi ile belirlenen 3 temel bileşen de bu sonucu desteklemekte, farklı antropojenik kaynaklardan köken alan ağır metallerdeki farklılıklar, göldeki ağır metal birikimine ilişkin çevresel baskının çeşitliliğini ve baskısını yansıtmaktadır. Bulgular ışığında, gölde gerçekleştirilen sedimentin uzaklaştırılması faaliyetini, etkin bir girişim olarak değerlendirmek olası gözükmemektedir. Göl havzasındaki farklı antropojenik kirleticiler devam ettikçe, gölün sürdürülebilir kullanımı açısından göl sedimenti ağır metaller açısından rutin olarak izlenmelidir., Sediment dredging (removal), a lake management method, is performed on a regular basis to improve the recreational value of Mogan Lake. The aim of the study is to a) determine heavy metal concentrations (Hg, As, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu, and Zn) in the sediment after dredging and make evaluations based on the sediment quality criteria, b) define the potential sources of heavy metals by multivariate analyses, c) shed light on the effectiveness of the dredging in the context of current data. As indicated by the findings from two stations under the influence of mineral processing facilities (station I) and domestic wastewater discharges (station II) taken in May and November, 2020, the mean heavy metal concentrations in the sediment in decreasing order were Cr>Cu>Zn>Ni>Pb>As>Cd>Hg. Cr, Ni, and As levels were found to exceed the probable effect level (PEL) and therefore, the lake sediment was classified as heavily polluted in terms of Cr, Ni, Cu and As. Based on the Spearman’s correlation analysis, Cu-Cd, Zn-Pb, and As-Cd were found to have similar anthropogenic sources. Three main components determined by the principal component analysis also support this result; the differences in heavy metals originating from different anthropogenic sources reflect the environmental pollution diversity and pressure related to the heavy metal accumulation in the lake sediment. Based on our findings, sediment removal in Mogan lake can not be considered as effective intervention. As anthropogenic pollutants persist in the lake basin, sediment should be routinely monitored for heavy metal levels to ensure the lake's sustainable use.

Determining the water quality of agricultural irrigation ponds has great importance both for agricultural production and for aquatic organisms. In this study, seasonal changes of the physico-chemical parameters and metal concentrations of water in Terzialan Pond were investigated. In 2019, physico-chemical analysis of the water samples taken from four sampling points are made according to APHA (2012) standard method, determining metal concentrations with ICP-OES. The water quality of the pond is evaluated according to YSKYY, ITASHY and TS266 classes. Terzialan Pond, according to Surface Water Quality Management Regulations is found to be second quality in terms of phosphate concentration and first quality in other parameters. The pond can be used as agricultural irrigation water being in C2-S1 class according to US Salinity Laboratory diagram and very good- good class according to Wilcox diagram. Changes in water quality are observed due to anthropogenic effects depending on seasonal agricultural and recreational activities, besides natural effects. Periodic monitoring of the pond will be beneficial for environmental management., Tarımsal sulama amaçlı yapılan göletlerin su kalitesinin belirlenmesi gerek zirai üretim gerekse sucul canlıların yaşamı açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Terzialan Göleti’nde suyun fiziko-kimyasal parametrelerinin ve metal konsantrasyonlarının mevsimlere bağlı değişimleri incelenmiştir. 2019 yılında, dört örnekleme noktasından, mevsimsel olarak alınan su örneklerinin fiziko-kimyasal analizleri APHA (2012) standart metoduna göre, ağır metal konsantrasyonlarının saptanması ise ICP-OES ile yapılmıştır. Göletin su kalitesi Yüzeysel Su Kalitesi Yönetimi Yönetmeliği (YSKYY), İnsani Tüketim Amaçlı Sular Hakkında Yönetmelik (İTASHY) ve Türk Standardı İnsani Tüketim Amaçlı Sular (TS266) sınıflarına göre değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Terzialan Göleti’nin, Yüzeysel Su Kalitesi Yönetimi Yönetmeliğindeki sınıflandırmaya göre fosfat konsantrasyonu açısından II. sınıf su kalitesi, diğer parametreler açısından I. sınıf su kalitesine sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Gölet, ABD tuzluluk laboratuvarına göre C2-S1 sınıfında, Wilcox diyagramına göre çok iyi sınıfında olup tarımsal sulama suyu olarak kullanılabilir niteliktedir. Doğal etkilerin yanında mevsimlere bağlı tarımsal ve rekreasyonel faaliyetlerle ilişkili antropojenik etkiler yüzünden su kalitesinde değişimler görülmüştür. Göletin periyodik olarak izlenmesi, çevresel yönetim için yararlı olacaktır.

The research looks at the rotifer diversity in five different coal mine generated pit lakes from Raniganj Coal Field Area (RCF), West Bengal, India. The collection methodology was involved monthly sampling (n = 120) to analyze the rotifer diversity using surface hauling with standard plankton net of mesh size 55 µm and water column at different depths (20 cm to 50 cm) for the periods of two years (February 2018 – January 2020). Analyzes of some limnological parameters and macrophytes were also performed following standard protocol. Statistical analysis based on the physicochemical parameters showed that Harabhanga and Dhandardihi 1 Pit Lakes were more similar while Dhandardihi 1 Pit Lake and Dhandardihi 2 Pit Lake were more alike in terms of rotifer community structure. Seventeen taxa of rotifers under the five families were found with varying densities and diversity indices. The highest diversity was observed in the Searsole Pit Lake, and the dominant species was Keratella tropica Apstein. The five pit lakes can be separated from each other based on the variations in rotifer diversity and water quality parameters, advocating the implementation of limnological management. Our results indicated different abiotic and biotic variables influencing the rotifer assemblages and diversity of the pit lakes studied.

Lake Van is located in the eastern part of Türkiye and forms the largest soda lake in the world. In this study, we present the relationship between instrumental data which belongs to Lake Van level changes and meteorological parameters by performing a multilevel analysis. The data set consists of monthly average levels of Lake Van and monthly meteorological parameters (temperature, precipitation and wind speed) between 1944-2019 years. Two different multilevel linear models; random intercept, random intercept and slope model were used. Unstructured (UN) covariance structure and Maximum Likelihood (ML) were used for repeated measurements and estimation, respectively. Log-likelihood (ll), Akaike Information Criteria (AIC), Bayesian Information Criteria (BIC) and AIC Corrected (AICC) were used for the selection of the best model. The random intercept and slope model (Model II) is explained as the best model for the lake level changes in this study. Statistical results in this study indicated that the temperature and wind speed are the key parameters controlling the Lake Van water level fluctuations, whereas the precipitation effect is minimal due to the type of precipitation (snowfall). For this reason, temperature, wind speed and also the type of precipitation (snowfall or rain) must be considered for disaster modelling in settlements of Lake Van and similarly closed basin lakes.

To understand the possible effects of changes in ambient temperature on spatial distribution and ecology of ostracods, samples were randomly collected from 70 aquatic sites with 12 different habitat types from Hatay (Turkey) province during the summer season of 2012. 14 of 19 ostracod species were newly reported for the province. The first two axes of CCA explained 79.7% of the cumulative variance of the relationship between the 12 most common species and five environmental variables. Thirty water samples were collected from the area in dry and wet seasons. Ca-Mg-HCO3 and Ca-HCO3 were the dominant water types. The composition of the groundwater varies depending on such factors as the time of contact with the rocks, the amount of water, the temperature, and the pressures of the environment in the region. It has also been determined that another important factor affecting the hydrochemical and quality of water resources is anthropogenic pollution associated with agricultural activities. In this study, the results of the arid and rainy period analysis were evaluated statistically and the relationship of the parameters with each other was revealed. S4 and S6 samples from the waters in the study area are not potable according to WHO (2011), TSE266 (2005) standards, and Schoeller diagram. Similarly, when the waters in the study area are evaluated as irrigation water, according to the US Salinity Laboratory and Wilcox diagram classifications, the use of samples S4 and S6 is limited in both periods., Bu çalışmada Yazır Gölü havzası su kaynaklarındaki fizikokimyasal, majör iyon, ağır metal ve kirlilik parametreleri ile su kalitesinin mevsimsel değişimi incelenmiştir. Çalışma alanında alttan üstte doğru Yeşilbarak napı, Likya napları, paraallokton ve neootokton konumlu kaya birimleri yer almaktadır. Alüvyon ve kireçtaşı birimleri akifer birimlerdir. Kurak ve yağışlı mevsimlerde bölgeden toplam 30 su örneği toplanmıştır. Çalışma alanında Ca-Mg-HCO3 ve Ca-HCO3 baskın su türleridir. Çalışma alanında ortaya çıkan farklı su tipleri ve kimyasal özelliklerindeki mevsimsel değişimlerde bölgedeki kayaçlarla temas süresi, suyun miktarı, sıcaklığı ve ortamın basıncı gibi faktörlerin etkili olduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca su kaynaklarının hidrokimyasal ve kalitesini etkileyen diğer bir önemli faktörün tarımsal faaliyetlerle ilişkili antropojenik kirlenme olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada kurak ve yağışlı dönem analiz sonuçları istatistiksel olarak da değerlendirilmiş ve parametrelerin birbirleri ile ilişkisi ortaya konmuştur. Çalışma alanındaki sulardan S4 ve S6 nolu örnekler WHO (2011), TSE266 (2005) standartlarına ve Schoeller diyagramına göre içilebilir özellik taşımamaktadır. Aynı şekilde çalışma alanındaki sular sulama suyu olarak değerlendirildiğinde ABD Tuzluluk Laboratuvarı ve Wilcox diyagramı sınıflamalarına göre de her iki dönemde de S4 ve S6 nolu örneklerin kullanımı sınırlıdır.

Karacaören I Dam Lake is located in the South-Western Mediterranean of Turkey. Although it has been established for energy, flood control, and irrigation, it is also used for fishing and recreational activities. An intense algal bloom was observed at the riverine zone of Isparta and Göksu streams, two important sources feeding this reservoir. The phytoplankton bloom was observed in the early spring as a dense reddish-brown band at the riverine zone of Isparta Stream and Göksu Creek were mixed into the reservoir. Visually, it was determined that the intensity of algal bloom decreased from the riverine zone to the lacustrine zone of the reservoir. On 18 March 2014, the organism causing the bloom in the plankton and water samples was determined to be Peridiniopsis cf. cunningtonii (Lemmermann) Lemmermann from Dinoflagellata. The maximum cell density of species was determined as 26,997 cells/ml in the mouth of Isparta Stream and 22,262 cells/ml in the mouth of Göksu Creek. Besides, intense fish deaths were observed at these dates during an algal bloom. Based on these results, it is predicted that especially urban wastes from Isparta Stream and fish farming wastes from Göksu Stream may trigger algal blooms in the reservoir, and this situation may occur in the future., Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'nin batı Akdeniz Bölgesi’nde yer alan; enerji, taşkın kontrolü ve sulama amacıyla kurulmuş olan, ayrıca balıkçılık ve turizm faaliyetleri için de yararlanılan Karacaören I Baraj Gölü’nü besleyen iki önemli kaynak olan Isparta Çayı ve Göksu Deresi’nin baraj gölüne karışım noktasında aşırı alg çoğalmaları (fitoplankton patlaması) incelenmiştir. Yoğun algal gelişim, ilkbahar başlarında Isparta Çayı ve Göksu Deresi’nin baraj gölüne karıştığı nehir ağzı bölgesinde kızıl-kahverengi belirgin bir bant olarak gözlemlenmiştir. Görsel olarak, alg patlaması yoğunluğunun nehir ağzı bölgesinden lakustrin bölgeye doğru azaldığı kaydedilmiştir. 18 Mart 2014’de bu ortamdan alınan plankton ve su örneklerinde plankton patlamasına neden olan organizmanın Dinoflagellata’dan Peridiniopsis cf. cunningtonii (Lemmermann) Lemmermann olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu türün en yüksek yoğunluğu Isparta Çayı ağzında 26.997; Göksu Deresi ağzında ise 22.262 hücre/ml olarak belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca alg patlamasının tespit edildiği sırada yoğun balık ölümleri gözlemlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle, özellikle Isparta Çayı’ndan gelen kentsel atıkların ve Göksu Çayı’ndan gelen balık yetiştiriciliği atıklarının baraj gölünde alg patlamalarını tetikleyebileceği ve bu durumun gelecekte de ortaya çıkabileceği öngörülmektedir.

Monitoring water quality is one of the high priorities for the protection of water resources. Many different approaches are used to analyse and interpret the variables that determine the variance of water quality observed in various sources. Statistical methods, especially multivariate statistical techniques, constitute an important part of these approaches. In this study, ten water quality parameters, which were measured for twelve months from seven stations determined on Filyos River, were evaluated by carrying out principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA) from multivariate statistical methods. In addition, dominant quality parameters designating the quality of the water source were determined. According to PCA results, 4 principal components contained the key variables and accounted for 69.49% of total variance of surface water quality from Filyos River. Dominant water quality parameters were observed to be temperature, EC, DO and pH. While the study revealed that the river is exposed to agricultural pollution alongside with the water quality character generated by the climatic conditions, it also suggested that multivariate statistical methods are useful tools in evaluating complex data sets such as water quality data, and monitoring the quality of water resources.

Bu çalışmada, Göynük Çayı'ndan (Bingöl, Türkiye) yakalanan Cyprinion macrostomus dokularında (böbrek, solungaç, karaciğer ve gonad) yıl boyunca meydana gelen antioksidan enzim aktiviteleri (süperoksit dismutaz (SOD), katalaz (CAT), glutatyon peroksidaz GPx), glutatyon redüktaz (GR) ve glukoz 6-fosfat dehidrojenaz (G6PD)) ve malondialdehit (MDA) seviyelerindeki değişimler mevsimsel olarak incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla yaz, sonbahar, kış ve ilkbaharda düzenli olarak balık yakalanabilecek iki lokasyon (Ilıcalar ve Garip) belirlenmiştir. Bu iki lokasyondan her ay düzenli olarak balıklar yakalanarak laboratuvara getirilmiştir. Çalışmada enzim aktivitelerini ve MDA düzeylerini belirlemek için spektrofotometrik yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda genel olarak Ilıcalar ve Garip istasyonları arasındaki MDA düzeyi ve enzim aktivitelerinin tüm dokularda istatistiksel olarak birbirinden farklı olduğu belirlendi. Bununla berarber, her iki istasyonda da mevsimler arasında genel olarak anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmada, GR ve G6PD aktiviteleri diğer enzim aktivitelerinden daha düşük iken, CAT ve SOD aktivitelerinin diğer enzim aktivitelerinden daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir., In this study, antioxidant enzyme activities (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase GPx), glutathione reductase (GR) and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD)) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels occurring throughout the year were examined in Cyprinion macrostomus tissues (kidney, gill, liver and gonad) captured from Göynük Stream (Bingöl, Turkey). For this purpose, two locations (Ilıcalar and Garip) where fish can be caught regularly in summer, autumn, winter and spring were determined. Fish were caught regularly from these two locations every month and brought to the laboratory. Spectrophotometric methods were used to determine enzyme activities and MDA levels in the study. As a result of the study, it was determined that the MDA level and enzyme activities between Ilıcalar and Garip stations, in general, were statistically different from each other in all tissues. However, it was observed that there were important differences in general between the seasons at both stations. In addition, while GR and G6PD activities were lower than other enzyme activities throughout the study, CAT and SOD activities were higher.

Rekreaktif öneme sahip ötrofik-sığ Mogan Gölü’nde, göl içi yönetim uygulamalarından biri olan sediment dredging (uzaklaştırımı) zaman zaman uygulanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; sediment tarama sonrası, gölde sedimentin kirlenme durumunun bazı indekslerin -zenginleşme indeksi (EF), kontaminasyon/kirlilik indeksi (CF), kontaminasyon derecesi (Cd), kirlilik yük indeksi (PLI), jeoakümülasyon indeksi (Igeo), potansiyel ekolojik risk indeksi (Eri), bütünleşik ekolojik risk indeksi (PER), ortalama olası etki konsantrasyonu oranı (mPEC-Q) - kullanımı ile değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla gölde sediment tarama sonrası, litoral bölgede iki istasyon seçilmiştir. Bunlardan I. istasyon; özellikle maden işleme tesisleri ve evsel kaynaklı atık suların, II. istasyon; evsel atık ve tarımsal faaliyet kaynaklı atık suların ulaştığı bir konumda bulunmaktadır. Yüzey sediment örnekleri, 2020 yılının Mayıs ve Kasım aylarında sediment alma kepçesiyle tekerrürlü olarak alınmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre; a) Ele alınan ağır metaller (Hg, As, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu ve Zn) içerisinde Cu, As, Cd en yüksek zenginleşme ve kontaminasyon faktörlerine sahip ağır metaller olarak saptanmıştır, b) Kirlilik yük indeksi (PLI) değerleri (1,30-2,26) sedimentin ağır metallerle kirlenmesini desteklemekte, jeoakümülasyon indeks (Igeo) değerleri ise, her iki istasyon ve ayda Pb bakımından yoğun kirlenme olduğuna işaret etmektedir, c) Potansiyel ekolojik risk faktörleri (Eri) açısından, Cd önemli düzeyde potansiyel ekolojik riske sahip bulunmuştur, d) Bütünleşik ekolojik risk faktörleri (PER), gölde tüm ağır metaller bazında orta düzeyli bir ekolojik riski göstermektedir. Ni ve As ise biyolojik açıdan olumsuz etkileri olan metallerdir. Sonuçlar; a) Sediment tarama girişiminin, sedimentteki kirlenmenin indirgenmesi açısından çok etkin olmadığı, b) Göl havzasındaki antropojenik kirleticiler süregeldikçe, sedimentte ekolojik ve biyolojik anlamda önem arzeden başta Cu, Cd, Pb, Ni ve As olmak üzere ağır metal düzeylerinin rutin olarak izlenmesi gereği yönündedir. Bulguların, ilgili kurumların ve yerel yönetimin sediment odaklı izleme çalışmalarına katkı sağlayacağı öngörülmektedir., The lake management strategy of sediment dredging (removal) is periodically undertaken in shallow, eutrophic Mogan Lake, an important recreation area. This study aims to use certain indices - enrichment index (EF), contamination/pollution index (CF), degree of contamination (Cd), pollution load index (PLI), geoaccumulation index (Igeo), potential ecological risk index (Eri), integrated ecological risk index (PER), and mean probable effect concentration quotient (mPEC-Q) - to evaluate the state of sediment pollution in the lake after dredging. With this in mind, after dredging was completed, two stations in the littoral zone were selected. Station I was located especially where it would be reached by wastewater from mineral processing facilities and domestic areas; and Station II, where it would be reached by residential and agricultural wastewater. Surface sediment samples were taken repeatedly in May and November 2020 using a sediment grabber. According to the study findings, a) Among the heavy metals studied (Hg, As, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu, and Zn), Cu, As, and Cd were found to have the highest enrichment and contamination indices; b) The pollution load index (PLI) values (1.30-2.26) suggest heavy metal pollution in the sediment, and the geoaccumulation index (Igeo) values show intensive Pb contamination at both stations in both months; c) In terms of potential ecological risk index (Eri), Cd was found to have a significant level of ecological risk index; d) The integrated risk index (PER) indicates that all heavy metals in the lake were present at moderate ecological risk levels. Ni and As were metals that had negative biological effects. The results indicate that a) Dredging is not a very effective tool for reducing pollution in the sediment; and b) As long as anthropogenic pollutants continue to enter the lake basin, sediment heavy metal levels should be routinely monitored, particularly those with ecological and biological effects on the sediment: Cu, Cd, Pb, Ni and As. It is predicted that the findings of this study will contribute to the sediment-focused monitoring efforts of organizations and local governments.

This study was carried out in the Kayalıköy reservoir (Kırklareli, Turkey), that is used for agricultural irrigation and aquaculture and to provide drinking and domestic water supply of Edirne province. The study was performed at 3 stations determined in the reservoir during a year from May 2018 to April 2019. The water samples were taken with Ruttner water sample bottles from 15 to 20 cm below the water surface. Water temperature, Secchi disk depth, conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen were measured on-site simultaneously with the sampling time. Other physicochemical parameters were analyzed in the laboratory. A total of 43 physicochemical parameters were measured in the Kayalıköy reservoir. Analysis results obtained are compared with Regulation on Modification of Surface Water Quality Management (RSWQM) and Regulation on the Quality and Treatment of Water Provided for Drinking Water (RDWQ). According to the average values of the analysis results the water quality in Kayalıköy reservoir determined generally to be Class I and A1 water. In conclusion, Kayalıköy reservoir has water suitable for drinking, agricultural irrigation, and aquaculture and was classified as having oligomesotrophic character.

Melet River is the main drinking water resource of Ordu province. The Upper Melet Basin is under the effects of heavy metal and other pollutants originating from pesticides which used in hazelnut farming. In this study, the concentrations of aluminium (Al+3), nickel (Ni+2), arsenic (As+3), chrome (Cr+3), cadmium (Cd+2), lead (Pb+4), manganese (Mn+2), iron (Fe+3), cobalt (Co+2), copper (Cu+2), zinc (Zn+2) were seasonally determined in water, sediment and some tissues of Capoeta banarescui from the Upper Melet Basin and micronucleus (MN) and comet testi were applied to determine the genotoxic potential of these elements. Al, As, Fe, Cu in water, Pb, in sediment and As, Pb, Mn in fish muscle were found in high concentration according to some national and international limit values. The MN frequency in erythrocytes was found as the highest value (‰2.20) in summer (P>0.05). According to comet assay results, the tail length values due to DNA damage in erythrocyte cells were determined as 21.03 µm, 21.40 µm, 20.47 µm and 9.02 µm in spring, summer, autumn and winter, respectively and the highest DNA damage was in summer (P, Melet Irmağı, Ordu ilinin ana içme suyu kaynağıdır. Suda Al, As, Fe, Cu; sedimentte Pb ve balıkların kas dokusunda As, Pb, Mn bazı ulusal ve uluslararası limit değerlere göre yüksek bulunmuştur. Eritrositlerdeki MN frekansı en yüksek yaz mevsiminde (‰2,20) tespit edilmiştir (P>0,05). Zooplankton abundance and composition are one of the most important factors which affect the food web in aquatic ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality of Bafa Lake in Turkey, based on zooplankton communities. As the study case, Bafa Lake is one of the biggest lake in Turkey, and the lake is quite rich in terms of biodiversity. Bafa Lake is the under effects of domestic, agricultural and industrial wastes that accumulate and cause the deterioration of ecology in the lake by Büyük Menderes River. With this purpose, 8 sampling sites were determined and zooplankton samples were collected monthly for two years. TSINRot index and various versions of diversity indices were used to determine the water quality and ecological status of Bafa Lake. To determine similarities between the stations, the stations were clustered by using UPGMA based on zooplankton fauna. By applying Pearson Correlation, correlations between the indices based on zooplankton fauna were assessed. With the identification of collected zooplankton, a total of 73 taxa which belong to groups of Rotifera, Cladocera, Copepoda, and Meroplankton were detected. As a result of similarity analysis, most similarity values were obtained between stations 1, 2 and 8, respectively. According to TSINRot index, Bafa Lake has got a eutrophic ecological state while according to all versions of diversity indices, Bafa Lake has got the α-β mesosaprobic ecological state., Zooplankton miktarı ve dağılımı sucul ekosistemlerde besin ağını etkileyen en önemli faktörlerden biridir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'deki Bafa Gölü'nün su kalitesini zooplankton topluluklarını baz alarak belirlemektir. Çalışma alanı olarak Bafa Gölü, Türkiye'nin en büyük göllerinden biri olmakla birlikte göl biyolojik çeşitlilik açısından oldukça zengindir. Bafa Gölü, Büyük Menderes Nehri tarafından taşınarak gölde ekolojinin bozulmasına neden olan evsel, tarımsal ve endüstriyel atıkların etkisi altındadır. Bu amaçla 8 örnekleme alanı belirlenmiş ve zooplankton örnekleri iki yıl boyunca aylık olarak toplanmıştır. Bafa Gölü'nün su kalitesini ve ekolojik durumunu belirlemek için TSINRot indeksi ve çeşitlilik indekslerinin çeşitli versiyonları kullanılmıştır. İstasyonlar arasındaki benzerlikleri belirlemek için, istasyonlar zooplankton faunası temelli UPGMA kullanılarak kümelendirilmiştir. Pearson Korelasyonu uygulanarak, zooplankton faunasına dayalı indeksler arasındaki korelasyonlar değerlendirilmiştir. Toplanan zooplanktonik organizmaların tanımlanmasıyla Rotifera, Cladocera, Copepoda ve Meroplankton gruplarına ait toplam 73 takson tespit edilmiştir. Benzerlik analizi sonucunda, en yüksek benzerlik değerleri sırasıyla 1., 2. ve 8. istasyonları arasında elde edilmiştir. TSINRot indeksine göre, Bafa Gölü ötrofik ekolojik duruma sahipken, çeşitlilik indekslerinin tüm versiyonlarına göre, Bafa Gölü α-β mezosaprobik ekolojik duruma sahiptir.

Bu çalışmada, ilkbahar ve sonbahar dönemlerinde üç farklı bölgeden elde edilen sazan (Cyprinus carpio), sudak (Sander lucioperca), gümüşi havuz balığı (Carassius gibelio) ve kerevit (Astacus leptodactylus) örneklerinde diffüzyon agar metodu kullanılarak serum lizozim aktiviteleri incelenmiştir. Lizozim aktivitesi en yüksek seviyede sudak balıklarında, ardından sırayla sazan, gümüşi havuz balığı ve kerevit örneklerinde bulunmuştur. Çalışmamızda, Gala ve Sığırcı Gölleri için ekonomik açıdan önemli olan balık türleri (Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782), Carassius carassius (Linnaeus, 1758), Scardinius erythrophthalmus (Linnaeus, 1758), Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758, Sander lucioperca (Linnaeus, 1758), Perca fluviatilis Linnaeus, 1758) üzerinde kirliliğin etkileri araştırılmıştır. Kirliliğin genotoksik etkileri, kas, solungaç ve karaciğer dokularında antioksidan savunma sinyali (GS, Cu-Zn SOD, CAT), ısı şok proteinleri (HSP26, HSP60, HSP70 ve HSP83) ve QRT-PCR testi ile DNA onarımı (SMUG1) metotları kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, RAPD analizi kullanılarak balık dokularındaki DNA hasarları belirlenmiştir. Bant değişimleri, özellikle tüm balıkların solungaç dokularında açıkça tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, C. gibellio, S. erythrophthalmus ve S. lucioperca'nın kas dokusunda CuZn-SOD'un nispi ekspresyonunda önemli bir artış gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. The genotoxic effects of environmental pollution were investigated with reference to gene expressions of antioxidant defense signal (GS, Cu-Zn SOD, CAT), heat shock proteins (HSP26, HSP60, HSP70 and HSP83) and DNA repair (SMUG1) by qRT-PCR assay in muscle, liver and gill tissue of fish species. Additionally, DNA damage determined using RAPD assay. Band changes were clearly detected, especially in the gill tissues of all fishes. In addition, a significant increase in the relative expression of CuZn-SOD in muscle tissue of C. gibellio, S. erythrophthalmus and S. lucioperca. The expression of CAT changed significantly at all tissue of fishes. However, the highest increase in expression level of CAT 128.9, 102.1 and 138.4 fg/µg total RNA was determined in muscle, liver and gill tissues of S. lucioperca. While the HSP60 and HSP70 was the least affected by environmental pollutions, greatest DNA repair activity was clearly observed in liver tissue of S. lucioperca. We conclude that environmental pollution in Gala and Sığırcı Lake exert genotoxic effects on DNA stability, and gen expressions of defense signaling. Additionally, S. lucioperca may be a bio-indicator species for biomonitoring to water pollution.

In this study, the current status of the fish fauna of the Meriç River which spread into the territory of Turkey, Bulgaria, and Greece has been evaluated. In the study, exotic fish species’ possible spread to Turkey and their probable effectson Turkey’s local fish fauna species have been evaluated by a review of previous studies. A total of 71 fish species have been reported from the Meric River, which is located in South Eastern Europe and is pouring into the Aegean Sea up to the present. Among them, 42 species were native, and 20 species were exotic. It was stated that the situations of 9 species in the river system were suspicious., Bu çalışmada, suları Türkiye, Bulgaristan ve Yunanistan topraklarına yayılmış olan Meriç Nehri’nin sahip olduğu güncel balık faunasının bir değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada yabancı balık türlerinin, Türkiye'ye olası yayılımları ve bu durumda türlerin yerel balık faunasına olası etkileri, yapılmış önceki çalışmaların incelenmesi yolu ile değerlendirilmiştir. Avrupa’nın güneydoğusunda bulunan ve Ege Denizi’ne dökülmekte olan Meriç Nehri’nden günümüze dek 71 balık türü bildirilmiştir. Türlerin 42’i nehir sistemi için yerli türler iken, 20’si ise yabancı türlerdir. Nehir sistemindeki 9 türün ise durumunun şüpheli olduğu ifade edilmektedir.

Ceyhan Nehir havzasında bulunan iki balık geçidinin etkinlikleri trap uygulaması, dıştan takma markalamalar (T-bar anchor tag), PIT telemetri ve radio telemetri yöntemleri ile incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre havuzlu ve orifisli balık geçidine yerleştirilen trapta hiç bir balık tespit edilememiş olduğundan bu balık geçidinin etkinliğinin olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca 50 adet dıştan takma marka, 44 adet PIT marka ve 47 adet radio markası taşıyan balıklardan hiç birinin bu balık geçidinden geçmediği görülmüştür. Dikey yarıklı balık geçidine yerleştirlen trapta ise toplam 900 Capoeta damascina ve 520 Alburnus adanensis tespit edilmiştir. Göç yapan C. damascina bireylerinin cinsiyet oranları ile göç zamanları arasında bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Uygulanan yöntemlere göre balık geçidinin performansı farklılık göstermiştir. Bu farklılık markalanan balıkların boylarının farklı olmasından kaynaklanmıştır. Çünkü radyo taglarla markalanan balıkların boyları PIT taglarla ve dıştan takma markalarla markalanan balıklardan daha büyüktü ve bu nedenle radyo telemetri yöntemine göre hesaplanan balık geçidi performansı diğer yöntemlere göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, 20 cm’den büyük balıkların balık geçidinden geçme performansı küçük balıklara göre daha yüksek olmuştur., The efficiencies of the two fish passages of River Ceyhan (Turkey) were investigated by using trap catches, external tags (T-bar anchor tags), PIT telemetry and radio telemetry. According to the results of the study, the pool and weir type fish passage were not effective; no fish entered the trap in this fish passage. Further, it was observed that none of the 50 external tagged fishes, 44 PIT-tagged fishes, and 47 radio-tagged fishes passed through this fish passage. A total of 900 Capoeta damascina and 520 Alburnus adanensis entered the trap installed in the vertical slot fish passage. A relationship was found between the gender ratio of the migratory C. damascina and their migration times. Fish passage performance was different according to the applications. These differences in fish passage success among the applications originated from the sizes of the tagged fish. Because the sizes of the radio-tagged fish were much larger than that of the external tagged fish and PIT-tagged fish so the success of the fish passage according to the radio telemetry was estimated higher than that of the other applications. The further passing ratio of the fish over 20 cm in length was higher than that of the small individuals.

Phylum Tardigrada, which has been quite a little studied both around the world and Turkey, belongs to members of a metazoan. In this study eight moss and lichen samples were collected and investigated from a variety of elevations of the Verçenik Mountain in Rize (Turkey). In total 62 specimens, 11 exivium and 10 eggs of tardigrades were found. Five species were identified, and they belong to genera: Acanthechiniscus, Pseudechiniscus, Macrobiotus, Paramacrobiotus and, Ramazzottius. Three of them are new records for Turkish fauna i.e. Acanthechiniscus victor (Ehrenberg, 1853), Pseudechiniscus ramazzottii ramazzottii Maucci, 1952 and Macrobiotus spectabilis Thulin, 1928. Including these three species, the tardigrade fauna of Turkey increased to 54. In this paper, we present the previous study a full list of the known high mountain and alpine tardigrade species with their localities. Beş tür tespit edilmiş ve bunlar Acanthechiniscus, Pseudechiniscus, Macrobiotus, Paramacrobiotus ve Ramazzottius cinslerine aittir. Bunlardan üçü, Türkiye faunası için yeni kayıtlardır. Bunlar: Acanthechiniscus victor (Ehrenberg, 1853), Pseudechiniscus ramazzottii ramazzottii Maucci, 1952 ve Macrobiotus spectabilis Thulin, 1928. Bu üç türün de dahil edilmesiyle, Türkiye’nin tardigrat faunası 54’e yükselmiştir. Bu çalışmada daha önceden elde edilen yüksek dağ ve alpin türlerinin tam listesini sunulmuştur. The present study focused on monthly densities and abundances of planktonic microcrustaceans (Cladocera and Copepeda) in Kırklareli reservoir, as well as their relationship with some physicochemical parameters at three stations for the period from May 2018 to April 2019. In the present study, a total of 26 planktonic microcrustaceans species, 14 from Cladocera and 12 from Copepoda were identified. The mean annual microcrustacean abundance recorded during the study was 24076 ind/m3, 67% of which was Cladocera (16054 ± 12414 ind/m3) and 33% was Copepoda (8022 ± 5564 ind/m3). The maximum abundance of planktonic microcrustaceans were found in September (51521 ind/m3) and the minimum was found in January (2919 ind/m3). The most common species in the reservoir were Bosmina longirostris, Daphnia pulex, Daphnia cucullata, Daphnia galeata, Daphnia longispina and Diaphanosoma brachyurum from Cladocera and Cyclops abyssorum, Cyclops vicinus, Eudiaptomus vulgaris and Arctodiaptomus wierzejskii from Copepoda. The environmental parameter values measured in the reservoir were acceptable to support aquatic life, especially the zooplankton community. The total density and abundance of zooplanktonic microcrustaceans showed positive correlation with the water temperature and Chlorophyll-a. According to these results, we concluded that Kırklareli reservoir has a mesotrophic character in terms of the microcrustacean fauna and the physicochemical parameters.

Meyil and Kızören sinkholes are large karstic formations located in the Konya plain, Türkiye. Seasonal distribution of planktonic community of these two karstic lakes have yet to be studied. In this study, samples were collected from pelagic station in different seasonal periods (March-July-October 2018) and their physico-chemical parameters were determined and evaluated with seasonal species composition. As a result, fourty zooplankton species were identified in the two lakes, amongst which are thirty-four rotifers, five cladocerans and one copepod. Rotifers were founded as the dominant group for both lakes. All species identified as a new record for Meyil and Kızören sinkhole lakes. Furthermore, this study contributes to the literature by explaining the first detailed data for zooplankton fauna of sinkhole lakes in Türkiye as of the sampling date.

In this study, different populations of a copepod species, Mesocyclops leuckarti, were compared with their body size. Samples were taken from Asi River, Mehmetli Dam Lake, Yenişehir Lake, and Tahta Köprü Dam Lake, locating in east-south part of Turkey. Whole sexual dimorphism for the populations was changed from 1.56 to 1.62. Intra-population variability on body size by locations were changed as 3.85 % to 5.05 %. Intra-population variability was bigger in male than that of female populations in each water body. The same pattern was observed for inter-population variability among male populations (8.46 %) and female populations (8.04 %). Discriminant analysis (DFA) and SIMPER (Similarity Percentage) methods revealed that Cephalozom Length (CL) measurementwas the most distinguished measure leading discriminate among the male populations with 23.97 %. Abdomen (ABD) measurement was the most discriminative measure among female populations with 30.86 %. Based on the MANOVA, the differentiation in body size among the female populations was very significant (p0.05).The Minimal Spanning Tree (MST) analysis showed that the specimen living in the pond and lake systems were closer than river systems in terms of body size diversification especially for female ones of copepods., Bu çalışmada, bir kopepod türü olan Mesocyclops leuckarti nin vücut büyüklüğü farklı popülasyonları arasında karşılaştırıldı. Salaria fluviatilis (Asso,1801), Blenniidae familyasının Akdeniz’de temsil edilen tek tatlısu türüdür. Bu çalışmada, ülkemiz içsularında ilk kez doğadan örneklenen bir kemikli balığa ait yumurta ve larvaların morfolojik özellikleri verilmiştir. 22 Temmuz 2012’de Gökova Körfezi’ne açılan Akyaka Azmak Nehri’nden S. fluviatilis türüne ait çok sayıda aynı gelişim evresindeki (çoğunluğu son safhaya erişmiş) yumurtalar tespit edilmiştir. Demersal özellikteki yumurtaların çapları; 0,89-1,31x0,78-1,23 mm, bu yumurtalardan çıkan prelarvaların boyları; 2,4-3,8 mm, postlarvalarınki 3,3-4,2 mm olarak ölçülmüştür., Salaria fluviatilis (Asso,1801) is the only freshwater species of Blenniidae represented in the Mediterranean Sea. This study stands as the first one to provide the morphological characteristics of one of Teleost fish eggs and larvae sampled from their natural habitats in Turkey’s inland waters. A great majority of eggs (mostly at late stage) belonging to S. fluviatilis found in Akyaka Azmak creek flowing into the Gökova Bay on 22 July 2012. Diameters of these demersal eggs were 0.89-1.31x0.78-1.23 mm, and lengths of these hatched prelarvae were recorded as 2.4-3.8 mm, postlarvae 3.3-4.2 mm.

Bu amaçla, kaynaktan mansaba doğru belirlenen beş istasyonda aylık ölçümler yapılmış ve su örnekleri alınmıştır. İzleme periyodu boyunca örnekleme noktalarında su sıcaklığı 5,0-25,2 °C; elektriksel iletkenlik 216-359 μS/cm; toplam çözünmüş katı madde 147-244 mg/L; çözünmüş oksijen 8,67-13,36 mg/L ve pH 7,08-8,76 aralığında ölçülmüştür. Rotifera assemblages of small floodplain wetlands (dobas or dubies) of lower and upper regions of the Brahmaputra river basin of Assam state of northeast India (NEI) reveal 157 species, belonging to 34 genera and 18 families, and highlight notable speciose constellation of up to 50 species/sample. One species, each is new to the Oriental region and Assam, and species of global and regional biogeographic interest form notable fractions. The biodiverse rotifer fauna and various interesting species are hypothesized to habitat diversity of the sampled dobas or dubies, impact of `the Assam-gateway’- an important biogeographic corridor of India, and location of the study area in the Indo-Burmese biodiversity hot-spot. Lecanidae and Lepadellidae are species-rich families, both of lower and upper Assam wetlands; upper Assam wetlands, in particular, are characterized by a distinct paucity of the Brachionidae and Brachionus spp., the relative paucity of Trichocerca, Keratella and Mytilina species, rare occurrence of Asplanchna and Filinia species, and lack of species of Conochilidae and Hexarthridae. Our results indicate the littoral-periphytic nature and tropical character of the rotifers. Overall, this study is an important contribution to Rotifera biodiversity of small lentic habitats of India, Asia and that of the tropics and subtropics.

Pike (Esox lucius) samples were obtained from the designated locations of Sıdıklı Küçükboğaz Dam Lake between March 2012 and February 2013. Some heavy metal concentrations (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cr and Al) in the muscle, liver, skin, intestine and gills of this fish were measured by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) device and it was observed that heavy metals accumulated at different levels in different tissues of pike. Heavy metal concentration in different fish tissues varied as dry weight Cu: 0.1123-0.3764, Fe: 4.3135-9.505, Mn: 0.5442-0.1684, Zn: 3.3065-2.475, Cr: 0.1889-2.517, Al: 2.17-1.045 µg g-1. When the heavy metal levels in the tissues were compared with the national and international permissible limits, it was seen that the values of all metals in the muscles of the fish were below the determined limit values according to the analysis results. Seasonal changes in metal (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cr and Al) concentrations were observed in pike tissues, but it was concluded that these differences would not negatively affect the consumption recommendations based on the levels permitted by FAO/WHO (2020). According to the analysis, it was concluded that the fish collected from this region can be safely consumed by humans and the lake water can be used for irrigation purposes in agriculture.

This study was carried out to determine the leech fauna of the wetlands of seven provinces (Adıyaman, Batman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kilis, Mardin and Şanlıurfa) in South East Anatolia Region between January 2012 and December 2014. In this study, total 169 different freshwater habitats such as rivers, ponds, dams, lakes and reeds were investigated for leeches. In these provinces, Leech samples were found in 53 out of 169 wetlands. Leech samples were collected by unit time, unit frame (Leech collection frame) and Ekman dredge method according to the characteristics of the freshwater habitat. During the study, collected leeches were transfered to the laboratory in 0.5-1.0 L pet cans containing water. Leech specimens were relaxed in 10% ethanol, and subsequently fixed in 70 ethanol or 4% formalin. Collected leeches were identified according to their morphological characters under a stereomicroscope. In the present study, 11 leech species belonging to 6 genera were identified in the wetlands of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, respectively the leech species Albolossiphonia heteroclita, Albolossiphonia sp., Dina apathyi, Dina sp., Erpobdella octoculata, Erpobdella testacea, Erpobdella sp., Helobdella stagnalis, Hirudo sulukii, Placobdella costata and Placobdella sp. H. sulukii is a medicinal leech species which was defined for the world in 2016 and has been used by the people of the region within the framework of traditional and complementary medicine practices., Bu çalışma, Ocak 2012- Aralık 2014 tarihleri arasında Güney Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinde yer alan yedi ilde (Adıyaman, Batman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kilis, Mardin ve Şanlıurfa) bulunan akarsu, baraj, göl, gölet ve sazlık alan olmak üzere toplam 169 tatlısu habitatında sülük faunasının belirlenmesi amacıyla yürütüldü. Sülük örnekleri habitatın özelliğine göre birim zaman, birim çerçeve (Sülük toplama çerçevesi) ve Ekman kepçesi yöntemiyle toplandı. Toplam 169 sulak alanın 53’ünde sülük tespit edildi. Çalışma süresince toplanan sülük örnekleri su bulunan 0,5-1,0 L’lik pet bidonlarla laboratuvara taşındı. Sülük örnekleri önce % 10 etanol içinde bayıltıldı, sonra %70 alkol veya %4 formalin içinde tespit edildi. Toplanmış olan sülükler morfolojik özelliklerine göre stereo mikroskop altında teşhisi yapıldı. Bu çalışma sonunda , Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi sulak alanlarında Albolossiphonia heteroclita, Albolossiphonia sp., Dina apathyi, Dina sp., Erpobdella octoculata, E. testacea, Erpobdella sp., Helobdella stagnalis, Hirudo sulukii, Placobdella costata ve Placobdella sp. olmak üzere altı soya ait toplam 11 farklı sülük türü belirlendi. Söz konusu çalışma kapsamında tesbit edilen H. sulukii dünya için 2016 yılında tanımlanmış bir tıbbi sülük türü olup, bölge halkı tarafından geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp uygulamaları çerçevesinde kullanılmaktadır.

Observing the changes ofzooplanktonic organisms over the years can give us consistent information aboutthe limnological conditions of the present and future. Our aim in this studywas to determine current conditions of zooplankton fauna of Abant Lake, whichwas studied seasonally, and could provide resources for future studies. Thesamples of zooplankton were collected horizontally and vertically from AbantLake seasonally, between 2015 -2016 from seven stations. At the end of thestudy, a total of forty-nine zooplankton species were identified. Of these, 33belonged to Rotifera, 14 to Cladocera and 2 to Copepoda. In addition, twelvespecies of Rotifera, and six species of Cladocera were found as new records forthe Abant Lake., Zooplanktonik organizmaların yıllar içerisindeki değişimlerini izlemek,gölün bugünkü ve gelecekteki limnolojik durumu hakkında tutarlı bilgilerverebilir. Bu çalışmada ki amacımız, Abant Gölü’nün zooplankton faunasınıngüncel durumunu belirlemek ve gelecekteki çalışmalara katkı sağlamaktır.Zooplankton örnekleri, Abant Gölü’nden 2015-2016 yılları arasında mevsimselolarak, farklı habitatlarda ki yedi istasyondan yatay ve dikey olarakalınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda 33 tür ile Rotifera, 14 tür ile Cladocera ve 2tür ile Copepoda grubuna ait toplam kırk dokuz zooplankton türü tespitedilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile birlikte, 12 Rotifera türü ile 6 Cladocera türüAbant Gölü zooplankton faunası için yeni kayıt olarak bulunmuştur.

It is generally preferred to use of plant species that have a natural spread in a region as a beverage. It is known that, different plants are used in making herbal coffee in our country. Especially in times of war and for economical reasons, it was not possible for our people to reach a cup of coffee made from coffee beans, and in such cases it was tried to benefit from different plants. Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L., known as “nohut” in Turkish), which is a member of the Fabaceae family, is one of the most important legumes as a source of vegetable protein and one of those herbal coffees. In this study we compiled the information we obtained about chickpea coffee such as how to make it, how to serve it and its features etc. in Işıkeli village of Biga (Çanakkale). We believe that, this study will contribute to the survival of the chickpea coffee tradition as the traditional usage of chickpea is about to disappear nowadays., Genellikle yerel bir içecek olarak bir bölgede doğal yetişen bitki türlerinin kullanılması tercih edilir. Ülkemizdebitkisel kahve yapımında farklı bitkilerin kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Özellikle savaş zamanlarında ve ekonomiknedenlerle, halkımızın kahve çekirdeklerinden yapılmış bir fincan kahveye ulaşması mümkün olmamış ve bu gibidurumlarda farklı bitkilerden faydalanmaya çalışılmıştır. Fabaceae familyasının bir üyesi olan Nohut (Cicerarietinum L.), bitkisel protein kaynağı olarak en önemli baklagillerden biridir ve bitkisel kahve yapımındakullanılır. Bu çalışmada, Biga’nın (Çanakkale) Işıkeli köyünde nohut kahvesi hakkında elde edilen bilgiler ile nasılyapıldığı ve nasıl servis edildiği hakkındaki bilgiler derlenmiştir. Bu çalışma ile günümüzde geleneksel kullanımıyok olmak üzere olan nohut kahvesi geleneğinin hayatta kalmasına katkıda bulunulacağı düşünülmüştür.

Salıncak burçlarına, çaplama işlemi ve ardından kumlama işlemi uygulanmıştır. Yüzey pürüzlülük ve sıkılıkdeğerleri ölçülen burçlar çıkma işlemine tabi tutularak çıkma mukavemetleri belirlenmiştir. Benzetim için SolidWorks programı kullanılarak modellenmiş ve programın simülasyon kısmında çözdürülmüştür. Çelik salıncak ilealüminyum burç arasında ki sürtünme katsayısı 0,61 iken 8681,7 Newton, 0,3 iken 4102, 2 olarak bulunmuştur.Analizde ideal 179 mikron sıkılığında iken çıkan von mises gerilmesi 317,8 ve 370,4 mPa malzemelerin akmagerilmeleri ortalamalarında çıkarak burcun yerinden çıkma kuvvetleri hakkında muhakeme yapmamızı sağlıklıhale getirmiştir. Analizlere bakıldığında sıkılık değerleri kadar sürtünme katsayısının da etkili olduğu ortayaçıkmıştır. Surface roughness and firmness values were determined by bending the measured bushings. It was modeledusing the Solid Works program for simulation and solved in the simulation part of the program. Geleneksel yöntemlerle yapılan tasarım ve çizim teknikleri, bilgisayar teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle hızlı bir şekildedijitalleşmektedir. Bu süreçte özellikle mimari uygulama projeleri, detay çizimleri, üç boyutlu modeller vefotogerçekçi görüntüler (render) bilgisayar destekli tasarım programlarında gerçekleştirilmektedir. “YapıRessamlığı” mimari çizim odaklı eğitim verilen bir ön lisans programı olması sebebiyle bu teknolojikgelişmelerden direkt etkilenmektedir. Bu çalışmada “Yapı Ressamlığı” ön lisans programında Bilgisayara DestekliTasarım (BDT) derslerinin süreçsel gelişiminden bahsedilerek, yapılan anket çalışmasıyla öğrencilerin BDTdersleri kapsamında öğrendikleri programlarla ilgili izlenimleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Anket sonuçlarına göre derskapsamında öğretilen programların, öğrenci tarafından daha çok benimsenip kullanıldığı görülürken özelliklemezuniyet sonrası kullanacaklarını düşündükleri Autocad, Sketch Up ve Photoshop yazılımlarına daha çok ilgigösterdikleri sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Design and drawing techniques made with traditional methods are rapidly digitalized by the development ofcomputer technology. Within this period, especially architectural application projects, detail drawings, three-dimensional models and photorealistic images (render) are carried out in computer-aided design programs. Since,“Architectural Drafting” is an associate degree program that has a education style focuses on architectural drawing,it is directly influenced by these technological developments. In this study, the process development of theComputer Assisted Design (CAD) courses in the “Architectural Drafting” associate degree program is discussedand the students' impressions about the programs they learned within the CAD courses were revealed by thequestionnaires. According to the results of the questionnaires, it is seen that the programs taught in the course havebeen adopted and used more by the students and they show more interest to the softwares like Autocad, Sketch Upand Photoshop that can be used after graduation.

Bir yayın haberleşme yönteminde bir kaynaktan çoklu kullanıcılara mesaj iletimi için genellikle içerisindeşifreleme yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı şemalardan yararlanılır. Bu şema yapıları anahtar sunucu işlemleri açısındanmerkezi ve de-merkezi olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Bu çalışmada günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılan iki merkeziyöntem olan Mantıksal Anahtar Hiyerarşisi (MAH) ve Tek Yönlü Fonksiyon Ağacı (TFA) şemalarınadeğinilmiştir. Yayın haberleşme için bir şema önerilmiş ve kullanıcı ekleme/çıkarma işlemlerinde anahtar iletimsayıları-boyutları ve kullanıcılarda bulunan anahtar sayıları-boyutları açılarından mevcut şemalar ilekarşılaştırılmıştır. In a broadcast communication method,the schemes in which encryption methods are used are often used totransmit messages from a source to multiple users. These schemes are divided into central and de-central interms of key server operations. In this work, two central methods which are widely used nowadays arementioned: Logical Key Hierarchy (LKH) and One Way Function Tree (OFT) schemes. A scheme for broadcastcommunication is proposed and compared with the existing schemes in terms of numbers-sizes of keytransmissions in user joining/removing and numbers-sizes of keys in the user.

Waspaloy gibi işlenebilirliği zor malzemelerin işleme verimliliğini artırmak için, kesme sıvısı kullanımı büyükönem taşımaktadır. Ancak, aşırı kesme sıvısı kullanımı çevre, çalışan sağlığı ve üretim maliyeti gibi konulardaimalatçıları endişelendirmektedir. Bu endişeleri minimuma indirmek için kullanılan alternatif yöntemlerdenbirisi de Minimum Miktarda Yağlama (MMY) sistemidir. Bununla beraber, kesme sıvısı miktarının azaltılmasıiçin çalışmalar artarak devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, MMY sisteminde kullanılan kesme sıvısının içerisinenanopartikül katkı maddesi eklenerek kullanılan kesme sıvısı miktarını daha da azaltmak amaçlanmıştır. Buamaç doğrultusunda, Waspaloy süper alaşımı; kuru, MMY ve NanoMMY (hacimce %1 Al 2 O 3 ) şartları altındaişlenmiş ve soğutma/yağlama yöntemleri arasındaki farklar ortaya konulmuştur. Frezeleme deneyleri esnasındaçıktı olarak takım aşınması seçilmiştir. Kesme parametresi olarak ise üç farklı kesme hızı (20, 40, 60 m/dak) veüç farklı ilerleme hızı (0,05-0,10 ve 0,15 mm/dev) seçilmiştir. Deney sonuçlarının analizine göre, optimumaşınma değeri 20 m/dak kesme hızı, 0,05 mm/dev ilerleme ve NanoMMY şartları altında gerçekleşmiştir. The use of cutting fluids is of great importance in order to increase the machinability efficiency of difficult-to-cut materials such as Waspaloy. However, the use of extreme cutting fluid is concerned by manufacturers in suchissues as the environment, human health and production cost. One of the alternative methods to minimize theseconcern is the Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) system. Moreover, researches are continued to reduce theamount of cutting fluids. In this study, it was intended to further reduce the amount of cutting fluid sonanoparticle was added to the contents of the cutting fluid in the MQL system. For this purpose, Waspaloymilling experiment were carried out under dry, MQL and NanoMQL (1 vol% Al 2 O 3 ) conditions and the differences between cooling/lubrication methods have been revealed. Tool wear was selected as outputparameter during milling experiments. Three different cutting speeds (20, 40, 60 m/min) and three different feedrates (0.05, 0.10 and 0.15 mm/rev) were selected as cutting parameters. According to the analysis of theexperiment results, the optimum wear value was 20 m/min cutting speed, 0.05 mm/rev feed rate and NanoMMYcutting conditions.

Alüminyum alaşımları günümüzde, yüksek dayanım ve ağırlık oranı, iyi korozyon ve yorulma direnci nedeniyle,otomotiv ve havacılık sanayinde, plastik enjeksiyon kalıplarında yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Buçalışmada, 80x80x30 mm ebatlarında 5754-H111 temperlenmiş alüminyumun alaşımına, kaplamalı ve kaplamasızkesici uçlarla yüzey frezeleme işlemi uygulanmış ve yüzey frezeleme işlemi esnasında kesme parametrelerininyüzey pürüzlülüğü üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deneylerde Taguchi L 27 ortogonal dizini ile üç faklı kesici uç(Kaplamasız, Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN kaplamalı, TiAlN Nano kaplamalı), kesme hızı (250, 350, 550 m/dak), ilerlemeoranı (0.1, 0.2, 0.35 mm/diş) ve üç faklı kesme derinliği (1, 1.5, 2 mm) kullanılmıştır. Deneyler sonunda eldeedilen değerler, sinyal-gürültü oranı (S/N), varyans analizi (ANOVA), üç boyutlu grafikler ve regresyon metodukullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Deneylerden sonra en düşük yüzey pürüzlülüğü; kaplamasız kesici uç, 1 mmkesme derinliği, 350 m/dak kesme hızı ve 0.35 mm/diş ilerleme oranında elde edilmiştir. Bu kesme şartları içinyüzey pürüzlülük değerleri hesaplamalarda 0.26 ?m olarak bulunmuş, doğrulama deneylerinde 0.29 ?m olarakölçülmüştür. Aluminum alloys have been widely used in plastic injection molds in the automotive and aerospace industries dueto their high strength and weight ratio, and good corrosion and fatigue resistance. In this study, 5754-H111tempered aluminum alloy piece with 80x80x30 mm dimensions was machined with face milling operation usingcoated and uncoated inserts. The effects of cutting parameters on surface roughness during face milling wereinvestigated. In the experiments, different inserts (uncoated, Al 2 O 3 -TiCN-TiN coated, TiAlN Nano coated), cuttingspeeds (250, 350, 550 m/min), feed rates (0.1, 0.2, 0.35 mm/tooth) and cutting depths (1, 1.5, 2 mm) — eachhaving three conditions — were used with the Taguchi L 27 orthogonal array. The values obtained at the end of the experiments were evaluated using signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), variance analysis (ANOVA), three-dimensionalgraphs, and regression analyses. The minimum surface roughness was obtained using the uncoated insert at 1 mmcutting depth, 350 m/min cutting speed and 0.35 mm/tooth feed rate. The surface roughness values for these cuttingconditions were found as 0.26 ?m in the calculations and measured as 0.29 ?m in the verification experiments.

Teknolojinin hızla gelişmesiyle birlikte cihazların uzaktan kontrol ihtiyacı hızla artmıştır. Cihazların bir ağüzerinden uzaktan etkileşebilir hale getirilmesi nesnelerin interneti sayesinde mümkündür. Bu çalışmadaüzerinde ESP8266 wifi modül barındıran Nodemcu V3 geliştirme kartı tercih edilerek cihazların uzaktankontrolü sağlanmıştır. Burada NodemCU V3, android yazılım tabanlı uzaktan yönetim uygulaması ve bir prizdenoluşan akıllı bir sistemin entegrasyonu sağlanmıştır. ESP8266 modülü ile yönetilmek istenen cihazlar kontroledilebilmektedir. Kullanılan sensörler ESP8266 aracılığıyla anlık olarak veri iletmektedir. İnsanların çoğugünlük yaşamlarını evleri dışında geçirdiği için ev ortamında karşılaşabileceği gaz kaçağı, cihazların prizdeunutulması, ışıkların açık bırakılması vb. olumsuz durumlarda ister internet tarayıcısı üzerinden isterse mobiluygulama üzerinden prizlerin uzaktan kontrolünü sağlayabileceklerdir. Bu şekilde daha güvenli ve ekonomik biryaşam imkânı sağlanmış olacaktır., With the rapid development of technology, the need for remote control of devices has increased rapidly.Remotely interacting devices over a network is possible through the Internet of Things. In this work, remotecontrol of the devices is provided by using the NodemCU V3 development card. The integration of NodemCUV3, Android software based remote management application and an intelligent system consisting of a socket isprovided. With the ESP8266 module, devices that need to be managed can be controlled. The sensors used,transmits data instantaneously through ESP8266. Since most people spend their daily lives outside their homes,they will be able to remotely control the power outlets through both the Internet browser and the mobileapplication, in cases of gas leakages, plugged in devices, open lights, etc. In this way, a safer and moreeconomical life will be provided.

Yapısal karmaşa ve bulanıklık (türbidite), balıkların habitat seçiminde önemli roller oynayabilmektedir. Kızılgöz balığı (Rutilus rutilus) ve tatlısu levreği (Perca fluviatilis) Avrupa’nın kuzey ılıman göllerinin baskın (dominant) türleridir. Bu türlerin görece önemi, genel olarak trofik seviyeye ve habitat karmaşıklığına bağlıdır. Kızılgöz ve tatlısu levreğinin, su berraklığı ve makrofit yayılımı sürekli değişen Væng gölü ile bulanık Søbygård gölündeki dağılımları 15 yıllık bir dönem boyunca çalışılmıştır. Örnekleme, her yıl aynı program takip edilerek, göllerin çeşitli kısımlarından, farklı göz açıklıklarına sahip galsama ağları kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Türler, Væng gölünün bulanık olduğu dönemde, Søbygård gölünde ise tüm çalışma sürecinde, göllerin tüm kısımlarında ve tüm habitatlarda eşit dağılmışlardır. Væng gölünün berrak döneminde ise kızılgöz ve tatlısu levreğinin dağılımları eşit değildir. Türlerin bolluğu, makrofit yayılımı ve yoğunluğu ile negatif korelasyon gösterirken, bu ilişkinin kuvvetinin türlere ve balık boylarına göre farklı olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuç olarak, çalışılan iki gölde, kızılgöz ve tatlısu levreğinin dağılımında, suyun berraklığı ve makrofit yoğunluğunun anahtar belirleyici faktörler olduğu bulunmuş, bu durumun diğer benzer kuzey-ılıman sığ göllerde de gözlenebileceği öngörülmüştür., Roach (Rutilus rutilus) and perch (Perca fluviatilis) are dominant species in northern-temperate lakes of Europe, their relative importance depending on trophic state and habitat complexity. We studied the habitat distribution of roach and perch over a 15-year period in two Danish lakes, Lake Væng, undergoing major changes in water clarity and macrophyte coverage, and the permanent turbid Lake Søbygård. We used multi-mesh sized gill nets in 5-6 different sections of the lakes following the same program in all years. Both species were evenly distributed in the sections and among habitats, in Lake Væng during the turbid period and in Lake Søbygård during the whole study period. During the clear-water period in Lake Væng, however, the distribution of roach and perch was uneven and the density negatively correlated with macrophyte coverage and density, but the strength of the relationship differed between the two species and between small (≤ 8 cm for roach and

Bu çalışmada Nisan 2014 ile Şubat 2015 arasında Eber Gölü'nden alınan su, sediment ve Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782) dokularındaki (kas, solungaç ve karaciğer) ağır metal içeriklerinin mevsimsel değişimlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Su, sediment ve balık dokularında iz elementler tespit edilmiştir. Su örneklerinde ortalama yıllık konsantrasyonlar içerisinde en yüksek Mn (0,1584 mg/L) İlkbahar mevsimde en düşük konsantrasyon ise Pb elementinde bulunmuştur. Sediment örneklerinde ortalama yıllık konsantrasyonlar içerisinde en yüksek Fe (16245,84 mg/kg) İlkbahar mevsimde en düşük konsantrasyon ise Co elementinde bulunmuştur. Balıklarda, en yüksek konsantrasyonlar karaciğer dokusunda (Mo, Ni, Pb, Co, Cu, Fe) bulunurken, en düşük konsantrasyonlar solungaç (Mn, Zn) ve kas dokularında (Cd, Cr, Se) tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek ağır metal konsantrasyonları sedimentte gözlenirken, en düşük ağır metal konsantrasyonları balık dokularında sırasıyla karaciğer, solungaç ve kasda bulunmuştur. Eber Gölü'nde ölçülen ağır metal seviyelerinin çevre ve halk sağlığı açısından herhangi bir risk taşımadığı tespit edilmiştir., In this research, in order to observe the seasonal change between April 2014 and February 2015, heavy metal contents in the water, sediment and the Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782) tissues (muscle, gill and liver) growing in Eber Lake were determined. The obtained results showed that trace elements were founded in water, sediment and fish tissues. Among the average annual concentrations of water samples, the highest concentration was found for Mn (0.1584 mg/L) element and the lowest concentration was found for Pb element in the spring season. the maximum Average annual concentration was calculated for Mn (0.1584 mg/L, Spring) and the minimum was determined for Pb in water. In the sediment, Fe (16245.84 mg/kg, Spring) was found to be maximum and Co was the minimum. In fish, the highest concentrations were found in liver (Mo, Ni, Pb, Co, Cu, Fe), while the lowest concentrations were found in gill (Mn, Zn) and muscle (Cd, Cr, Se) tissues While the highest heavy metal concentrations were observed in the sediment, the minimum was found in the fish tissues (the ranking was the following; liver, gill and muscle). It was concluded that the heavy metal levels measured in the Lake Eber have no risk to the environment and to the public health.

This study aimed to determine the species composition of two algal associations in Karakaya Dam Lake. For this purpose, monthly variations in species composition of phytoplankton and seasonally variations in epipelic algae occurring in the dam lake were studied between June 2010 and May 2011. Five stations were selected in Karakaya Dam Lake. A total of 38 algal taxa belonging to Bacillariophyta (27 taxa), Charophyta (2 taxa), Chlorophyta (3 taxa), Cyanobacteria (3 taxa), Miozoa (2 taxa) and Ochrophyta (1 taxon) were identified in the phytoplankton. The diatom genera Cocconeis, Cymbella, Fragilaria, Nitzschia, Stauroneis and Surirella were represented with two taxa in the phytoplankton. Ceratium hirundinella was noticed with its continuous occurrence in the phytoplankton throughout the year. A total of 25 algal taxa belonging to Bacillariophyta (21 taxa), Charophyta (1 taxon), Chlorophyta (2 taxa) and Cyanobacteria (1 taxon) were identified in the epipelon. Seasonal variations of algal species with respect to occurrence frequency and abundance were compared and discussed in relation to physical and chemical properties of the dam lake., Bu çalışma, Karakaya Baraj Gölü'ndeki iki alg topluluğunun tür kompozisyonunu belirlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Bu araştırma için Karakaya Baraj Gölü'nde beş istasyon seçilmiştir. Baraj gölü fitoplanktonunda Bacillariophyta (27 takson), Charophyta (2 takson), Chlorophyta (3 takson), Cyanobacteria (3 takson), Miozoa (2 takson) ve Ochrophyta'ya (1 takson) ait toplam 38 alg taksonu tespit edilmiştir. Cocconeis, Cymbella, Fragilaria, Nitzschia, Stauroneis ve Surirella cinsleri fitoplanktonda iki taksonla temsil edilmiştir. Tüm algler arasında Ceratium hirundinella, yıl boyunca fitoplanktonda sürekli bulunmasıyla dikkat çekici olmuştur. Karakaya Baraj Gölü epipelik alg topluluğunda Bacillariophyta (21 takson), Charophyta (1 takson), Chlorophyta (2 takson) ve Cyanobacteria'ya (1 takson) ait toplam 25 alg taksonu kaydedilmiştir. İstasyonlarda diyatomelerin ve diğer alg türlerinin ortaya çıkışlarındaki mevsimsel değişimler ve bollukları karşılaştırılmış ve baraj gölünün fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri ile ilişkili olarak tartışılmıştır.

Türkiye'nin doğu bölgesinde, 31 lokalitenin kopepod faunası araştırılmış ve 4 familyadan 23 tür tespit edilmiştir. Aygır Gölü, kopepod türü sayısı bakımından 7 tür ile en zengin olduğu belirlenirken, bunu 6 türle Kuyucuk Gölü ve Akçakale Yarımadası izlemektedir. 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24 numaralı istasyonlarda insan yerleşimleri, su kalitesi parametreleri ve çevresel faktörler nedeniyle kopepoda rastlanmamıştır. İki istasyonda (Lavaş Gölü ve Putka Gölbaşı Gölü) bulunan kalanoid kopepod, Arctodiaptomus (M) toni, Türkiye iç sularında yeni kayıttır. Türün her iki habitatı da rakım ve göl yapısı açısından birbirine benzer ve türün ilk bulunduğu Elburz'a da benzerdir., In eastern region of Turkey, copepod fauna of 31 localities was investigated and 23 species were identified from 4 families. Aygır Lake is the richest with 7 species in terms of the number of copepod species, followed by the Kuyucuk Lake and the Akcakale Peninsula with 6 species. No copepods were found at stations 2, 5, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24 for reasons of human settlements, water quality parameters and environmental factors. The Calanoid copepod, Arctodiaptomus (M) toni which was found in two stations (Lavaş Lake and Putka Gölbaşı Lake) is new record for the inland waters of Turkey. Both habitats of the species are similar to each other in terms of altitude and lake structure, and similar to Elburz, where the species was first found.

In this study, the quality and usability of groundwater, which is the most crucial water source in Akşehir Lake basin and also recharging the Akşehir Lake, were determined. Thirty-one samples were taken from groundwater, and physicochemical, heavy metal and nitrate analyses were performed. The dominant water types were Ca-Mg-HCO3 and Ca-HCO3. According to the Schoeller diagram, groundwater was in the “poor quality-very good quality waters” class in terms of EC parameters and the “middle quality-very good quality waters” class in terms of other parameters. In addition, groundwater was not suitable for drinking water in heavy metal and nitrate concentrations. S24, S25 and S29 samples were found not suitable for use as irrigation water according to the USA Salinity laboratory and Wilcox diagrams. According to the PI values, 80.69% of the samples were "suitable" for irrigation water. According to the sodium percentage, 3.22% (S24) of the samples were in the “Suspicious “irrigation water” class. According to the MH and RSC values, all water samples were determined to be “suitable” for irrigation water. As a result, the most critical factors affecting the quality of groundwater in the region were geogenic and anthropogenic pollution due to agricultural activities., Bu çalışmada Akşehir Gölü havzasının içerisinde yer alan Akşehir ovasının en önemli su kaynağı olan ve aynı zamanda Akşehir Gölü’nü de besleyen yeraltısularının kalitesi ve kullanılabilirliği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yeraltısularından alınan 31 örnek üzerinde fizikokimyasal analizler yanısıra ağır metal ve nitrat analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışma alanındaki baskın su türleri Ca-Mg-HCO3 ve Ca-HCO3'tür. Schoeller içilebilirlik diyagrama göre yeraltısuları EC parametresi açısından “kötü kalite-çok iyi kaliteli sular” sınıfı aralığında, diğer parametreler açısından “orta kaliteli-çok iyi kaliteli sular” sınıfında yer almaktadır. Ayrıca yeraltısuları ağır metal ve nitrat konsantrasyonları bakımından içme suyu olarak kullanıma uygun değildir. S24, S25 ve S29 nolu örnekler ABD Tuzluluk laboratuvarı ve Wilcox diyagramlarına göre sulama suyu olarak kullanıma “uygun değil” şeklindedir. PI değerlerine göre çalışma alanındaki örneklerin %80,69'u sulama suyuna “uygun”bulunmuştur. Sodyum yüzdesine göre numunelerin %3,22'si (S24) çalışma alanında “Şüpheli' sulama suyu” sınıfındadır. MH ve RSC değerlerine göre ise tüm su örneklerinin sulama suyu olarak kullanıma “uygun” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bölgede yeraltısularının kalitesine etki eden en önemli faktörler jeojenik olduğu kadar tarımsal faaliyetlere bağlı antropojenik kirlenmedir.
