Introduction: In the era of technological promotion, considering technological approaches in education is a necessity, not a choice. The importance of paying attention to such approaches in universities of medical sciences is more obvious, because new information replaces previous ones constantly and if universities wish to transfer this information in the shortest time, there is a need for modern teaching methods, as traditional methods do not account for the transmission of such large volume of information. The purpose of this study was to investigate the barriers of developing virtual education in Urmia University of Medical Sciences from the viewpoint of faculty members. Method: The statistical population of this research consisted of all the faculty members of Urmia University of Medical Sciences in 2017, from which 137 subjects were selected randomly. The data collection tool was a questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by experts and its reliability by Cronbach's alpha (89%). The Data was analyzed using SPSS software version 19. Results: The results showed that the cumulative percentage of variance for the eight factors was 62/575 percent, which prevented technical support with 9/720 percent of the major share of the variance percentage, and cultural barrier with 3/315 percent of the lowest share of the percentage of variance Allocated. Conclusion: According to faculty members, technical support was considered the most important barrier so with the increasing speed of the Internet, new systems must be replaced for disabled ones and through strengthening technological infrastructures, hindering factors for application of virtual learning is reduced.

Some of them may improve, some may not show any response, and occasionally side effects may be observed. In other words, people with the same disease process under the same therapeutic conditions may have different responses. Today, some diseases are resistant to conventional (standard) treatment procedures. Why do people with the same disease show different responses to the treatment with the same drug? This is primarily due to differences in molecular pathways (especially genetic variations) associated with the disease. On the other hand, designing and delivery of a new drug is a time-consuming and costly process, so any mistake in any stage of this process can have irreparable consequences for pharmaceutical companies and consumer patients. Therefore, we can achieve more accurate and reliable treatments by acquiring precise insight into different aspects of precision medicine including genomics and transcriptomics. Also, samples of men with NOA were divided into two groups based on successful and unsuccessful sperm recovery, NOA+ in 21 patients and NOA− in 34 patients.Results: Examinations disclosed a severe decrease in DGCR8 in samples with MA and SCOS in comparison to OA samples (P < 0.001). Also, the results showed DGCR8 has significantly lower expression in testis tissues of NOA− group in comparison to NOA+ group (p< 0.05). Western blot analysis confirmed that the DGCR8 protein was not expressed in SCOS samples and had a very low expression in MA and HYPO samples.Discussion: The results of this survey showed that DGCR8 is an important gene for the entire spermatogenesis pathway. Moreover, DGCR8 gene plays an important role in the diagnosis of NOA subgroups, and also the expression changes in it might contribute to SCOS or MA phenotypes. The subjects of experimental groups participated in the selected interval trainings for eight weeks. The first blood sampling was performed within 48 hours prior to the first training session and the second samples were obtained 48 hours after the last training session.Results: The findings revealed that there were significant increases in Salusin-α (36% vs. 3%; p = 0.001) and high-density lipoprotein levels (7% vs. 5%; P = 0.039), while significant reductions in the levels of Triglyceride (− 8% vs. − 9%; p= 0.012) and total cholesterol (− 1% vs. − 8%; P =0.01) levels of moderate- and high-intensity interval training groups, respectively. Also, there were insignificant changes in Salusin-β (− 7% vs. − 5%; P = 0.108), low-density lipoproteins (− 3% vs. − 11%; P =0.046) and very-low-density lipoprotein (− 10% vs. − 8%; P = 0.056) compared to control group. There were only significant differences between Salusin-α and high-density lipoprotein levels of training groups (P< 0.05).Conclusion: It is suggested that, although improvements in lipid profile was nearly similar for two training modes, moderate intensity interval training was more effective to prevent and control atherosclerosis.Keywords: exercise, lipid profile, obesity, Salusin-α, Salusin-β

According to the latest WHO statistics, approximately 50– 80 million people worldwide sufer from infertility, and male factors are responsible for approximately 20– 30% of all infertility cases. The diagnosis of infertility in men is mainly based on semen analysis. The main parameters of semen include: concentration, appearance and motility of sperm. Causes of infertility in men include a variety of things including hormonal disorders, physical problems, lifestyle problems, psychological issues, sex problems, chromosomal abnormalities and single-gene defects. Despite numerous efforts by researchers to identify the underlying causes of male infertility, about 70% of cases remain unknown. These statistics show a lack of understanding of the mechanisms involved in male infertility. The studies conducted in Iran have reported different prevalence rates for this condition. This systematic review and meta-analysis were aimed at estimating the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in Iranian children under 6 years of age.Methodology: Persian and English articles published from 2001 to 2018 were collected. The search process was conducted in national and international databases, including SID, MagIran, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, using the following keywords and their combinations: Iron, Iron deficiency, Iron deficiency anemia, Ferritin, Child, Children, and Iran. The data were analyzed using the meta-analysis and random effects model. Heterogeneity was assessed using the I2, statistic. All analyses were performed using the STATA software, version 12.Results: Analysis of six selected articles with a total sample size of 1,700 showed that the prevalence rates of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in the Iranian children under 6 years of age were 27.7% (95% CI: 11.9–43.5) and 18.2% (95% CI: 14.3–22), respectively. In addition, the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia was higher in boys (17.7% with 95% CI: 5.9–29.5) than in girls (14.4% with 95% CI: 4.5–24.2).Conclusion: About one-fifth of Iranian children under the age of 6 years suffer from iron deficiency anemia. The present study was carried out to evaluate the effects of various amounts of organic and mineral selenium supplementation on growth performance (including condition factor (CF), specific growth rate (SGR), and weight gain (WG)), heamatological indices and liver histopathology. Nine dietary treatments were prepared and supplemented with selenium at 0 (control group (T0)), 0.15 (T1), 0.3 (T2), 0.45 (T3) and 0.6 g/kg of fish diet (T4). Abstract Background: The current study aims to investigate the impact of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on serum levels of CK and LDH as the muscle damage indicators and on Gelatinase-A (MMP-2) serum levels as the tissae inflammatory marker among young sedentary girls. Materials and Methods: For this quasi-experimental study, 14 sedentary female college students were selected and randomly divided into two groups; including the exercise HIIT group (means and standard deviations of age: 21/28 ± 2/56 (years); weight:52/86 ±4/95 (kg); and height: 163/1±3/7 (cm)) and the control group (means and standard deviations of age: 20/25 ±7/50 (years); weight:52/64 ±3/67 (kg); and height: 162/4±4/5 (cm)). The experimental group performed six repetitions of one-minute runs at 90%- 95% of HRmax. The blood samples were collected before and 30 minutes after the exercise protocol. Among a variety of storage technologies used for energy storage systems, supercapacitors, Pb-Acid Batteries (PABs), and Lithium Batteries (LBs) are widely used for microgrid applications. The supercapacitors with high-power density are suitable for fast power regulations; conversely, the PABs have high-energy density, which makes them suitable for long-term energy management. Since the PABs and supercapacitor can complement each other and overcome mutual defficiencies, their combination as a hybrid energy storage system can be beneficial. However, the LB enjoys both high-energy and high-power densities. Therefore, an LB ESS (LBESS) can similarly function like a Pbacid battery-Supercapacitor Hybrid ESS (PSHESS). However, their topologies, life cycles, and costs are different. This study tends to determine the one which is technically and economically more suitable for applications in islanded microgrids. For this purpose, a frequency control and energy management scheme is proposed. It maintains the balance between demand and supply and also keeps the microgrid frequency within safe operational limits using the least needed sizes for the energy storage systems. Using the simulation results, the sizes and costs of the energy storage systems are determined. For a decade of operation, the PSHESS has incurred almost 49.2% more cost than the LBESS, which makes the LBESS more cost effective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

One of the challenging points in the simulation of a nanofluid flowing through a porous medium is modeling the surface heat flux in the presence of nanoparticles and internal solid matrix. The question is how much energy is absorbed by the solid phase, fluid phase, and particles at the surface of imposing heat flux? To reach a suitable answer, a local thermal nonequilibrium approach (including three energy equations) is presented in this paper and three heat flux models are proposed for the first time. The proposed models are compared and analyzed. The effects of interstitial heat transfer coefficients on the heat transfer in a porous channel are completely studied. The fluid temperature distributions and heat transfer rate obtained by homogenous and nonhomogenous approaches (for the proposed models) are completely studied and compared. The results show that the nonhomogeneous approach experiences larger Nusselt number than the homogeneous one for all the recommended heat flux models. PACS Nos.: 47.61.-k, 47.56.+r. Une des difficultes dans la simulation de l'ecoulement d'un nanofluide a travers un milieu poreux est la modelisation de l'echange de chaleur a la surface en presence de nanoparticules et d'une matrice solide. La question est, combien de chaleur est absorbee par la phase solide, la phase fluide et les particules a la surface ou on retrouve le flux de chaleur. Afin de repondre a cette question, nous presentons ici pour la premiere fois une approche de non equilibre thermique local (incluant les equations d'energie libre) et proposons trois modeles de flux de chaleur. Les modeles proposes sont compares et analyses. Nous faisons une etude complete des effets des coefficients de transfert interstitiel de chaleur sur le transfert de chaleur dans un canal poreux. Nous completons une etude comparative des distributions de temperature du fluide et de transfert de chaleur obtenues par approches homogene et non homogene (pour nos modeles).
