Maatschappelijk werkers hebben een beroep met een belangrijke missie. Zij helpen mensen zich beter te handhaven in de samenleving. Hiervoor hebben zij een krachtige beroepsidentiteit nodig. Die stelt hen in staat zelfbewust en vakkundig te reageren op eisen die worden gesteld. Deze eisen zijn vaak spanningsvol. De wethouder wil dat de maatschappelijk werker met een open vizier ‘er op af gaat’; de zorgverzekeraar eist een wetenschappelijk bewezen aanpak; de manager verlangt bureaucratische discipline en de cliënt zelf verwacht behartiging van zijn belangen. Het is een hele kunst om met deze tegenstrijdige eisen om te gaan. Dat geldt zeker in een tijd van economische crisis en bezuinigingen. Versterking van de eigen beroepsidentiteit is nu hard nodig. In dit onderzoek laat Lies Schilder zien dat deze versterking mo gelijk wordt door middel van leerprocessen op en rond de werkplek. Zij beschrijft kenmerken van deze leerprocessen en voorwaarden om ze te organiseren. Enerzijds leren maatschappelijk werkers hierdoor hun beroepsstandaarden te gebruiken. Anderzijds leren ze van hun eigen ervaringen. Door de nabijheid van de werkplek zijn problemen uit de dagelijkse praktijk direct ‘voorhanden’ als leerpunten. Nadeel is dat deze problemen de leerprocessen ook ‘besmetten’. In de organisatie van de leerprocessen is dit een aandachtspunt. Twee actuele spanningsvelden worden in het onderzoek specifi ek belicht. Deze betre en de spanning tussen wetenschappelijke kennis en ervaringskennis en de spanning tussen professionals en managers. Dit boek geeft handreikingen voor de inrichting en organisatie van deze ‘identiteitsversterkende’ leerprocessen. Eén daarvan luidt dat het beroepsperspectief verplichtend in de leerprocessen wordt georganiseerd. Dat stimuleert dat maatschappelijk werkers hun missie overeind houden ondanks de druk van het dagelijkse werk. Dit boek is relevant voor iedereen die wetenschappelijk of praktisch is geïnteresseerd in beroepsontwikkeling van maatschappelijk werkers en andere professionals in veeleisende, ‘spannende’, omgevingen.

The production and benefit function of dairy farms, of the Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina), were studied by Garcia Martinez etal. (1996). In this work the combinations of concentrate and number of cows by exploitation that maximize profit are determined. For a maxime (winter price) milk price of 0.19 US dollars/litre and a estimated concentrate consumption r, when the flock size increases, the profit grows. Also, fixing the number of cows and increasing r, there are decreasing returns. For a minimal milk price (summer price) of 0.15 US dollars/litre and a concentrate consumption r, when the flock sice is greather the prof it grows. For a given flock size, when the concentrate use increases there are negative returns. Se determinan, para las explotaciones lácteas de la Cuenca Central Santafesina de Argentina, las combinaciones de concentrado y número de vacas por explotación que maximizan el beneficio. Ante un valor máximo del precio de invierno de la leche de 0,19 dólares por litro, se estima un consumo de concentrado por vaca (r) tal que a medida que se incrementa el tamaño del hato crece el beneficio. igualmente si se fija el número de vacas y se aumenta los resultados presentan rendimientos decrecientes. Para un valor minimode la leche de 0,15 dólares por litro (precio de verano), se estima un valor r, tal que al aumentar el tamaño del hato lo hace el beneficio, no obstante al fijar el número de vacas e incrementar r, el beneficio presenta rendimientos negativos.

This study proposes a model which simulatesihe milk production function in the Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina) taking the number of cows and concentrate consumption per year and farm as independent variables. The optimun profit in the extensive dairy farms, in accordance with the market prices of factors and products, is also determined. The combinations of concentrate per farm and number of cows, for the maximun profit, are determined. Se propone un modelo que simula la función de producción láctea de la Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina) a partir del número de vacas y el consumo de concentrado por año y explotación. Asimismo se determina la función del beneficio por explotación, en condiciones extensivas y dependiendo de los precios de mercado de factores y productos. Partiendo de dos supuestos diferentes se determinan lascombinaciones de concentrado por explotación y número de vacas, que maximizan el beneficio.

It has been researched the influence of thirteen feeding factors on daily milk production per cow. It was used a sample from dairy farms at the Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina). The statistics method of multiple non linear regression was used in order to estimate the influence from these factors. It is analyzed the relation between the factors of management (first spin removal, control of mamitis and rectal touch) and the feeding factors (percent of concentrate, soil ability for alfalfa, percent of permanent pasture and agrarian area available). El presente trabajo analiza la influencia de trece factores que caracterizan la alimentación, sobre la producción láctea por vaca y día. Para ello, se realizó un muestreo de explotaciones lecheras situadas en la Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina). Se emplea la técnica de la regresión múltiple no lineal, para cuantificar en qué medida estos factores explican la variación de la producción. Asimismo se analiza la asociación entre los factores de manejo (eliminación de primeros chorros, control de mamitis y tacto rectal) y los factores de alimentación con efecto significativo (porcentaje de suplementación con concentrados, aptitud del suelo para la alfalfa, porcentaje de pasturas permanentes y la superficie agraria útil).

This paper presents a study about the influence of three 0-1 type variables (rectal inpections, mamitis control and first sport renoval) in the cow daily milk production in the central regions of Santa Fe and Córdoba provinces (Argentina). The economic analysis shows that a management plan which includes the three measures outline above, could produce changes in gross income of up to 10000 US per farm per year. El presente trabajo analiza la influencia del tacto rectal TA, control de mamitis CM y eliminación de primeros chorros EC en la producción diaria por vaca de la Cuenca Central Santafesina (Argentina). Se cuantifican las pérdidas de no realizar tacto rectal, control de mamitis y eliminación de primeros chorros. Dichos factores inciden un 28,95 p. 100 en la producción. El cambio de técnica puede suponer unos ingresos adicionales de 10000 dólares.
