Leakage incidents on LNG bunker vessels will result in a serious degree of hazard. This paper investigates typical high-risk scenarios such as hose ruptures and valve joint leakages. The consequences of an LNG leakage accident during the simultaneous operation of a bunker vessel and a container carrier are simulated using the FLACS software, and the dispersion range of the combustible vapor cloud is quantitatively analyzed under both ballast and laden conditions. Under the ballast condition, the diffusion range of the combustible vapor cloud on the side of the bunker vessel is 58 × 15.5 m from the front wall of the cargo equipment room to the bow of the vessel, and 35 × 9.5 m between the cargo equipment room and the transom of the vessel. Under the laden condition, the diffusion range on the side of the bunker vessel is 58 × 15.5 m from the front wall of the cargo equipment room to the bow of the vessel, and 15 × 4 m between the rear end wall of the cargo equipment room and the front wall of the stern of the vessel. These results provide important technical guidance and reference values for the safe operation of LNG bunker vessels.

Stable color converters exhibiting high color rendering index have drawn researchers’ attention for their applications in high-quality white laser lighting. In this study, we develop the multi-color phosphor-in-glass (PIG) with the weight ratio of green-emitting (Y3Al3.08Ga1.92O12:Ce3+) to red-emitting (CaAlSiN3:Eu2+) phosphor powders (10/1–18/1) by low temperature co-sintering method. The obtained composite material displays an outstanding optical and thermal performance, including a high internal quantum efficiency of 84.2%, a high transparency of 45% in the visible region and a low thermal quenching (it remains 86% at 448 K). By integrating 450 nm blue laser diodes with optimized multi-color PIG, the white light with a maximum luminous flux of 258 lm and a luminous efficiency of 137 lm/W is achieved for the first time. Additionally, considering the white balance, by tailoring the weight ratio of green-emitting to red-emitting phosphor and the thickness of PIG, the 14/1 PIG at fixed thickness of 0.75 mm produces pure white light with ultra-high color rendering index of 95.2 and a high luminous efficiency of 120.9 lm/W under power density of 2.39 W/mm2 irradiation. The above superior characteristics imply that the multi-color PIG is an ideal candidate for high-quality white laser lighting applications.

Since being synthesized, CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br or I) quantum dots (QDs) have gained increased interest due to their superior performances in photovoltaic applications. Herein, Sm3+-doped CsPbBr3 nanocrystallines (NCs) were successfully prepared in zinc borosilicate sodium (ZnO–B2O3–SiO2–Na2CO3, ZBSN) glass, and the as-prepared glass exhibited a strong red emission, which was attributed to the effects of the energy level transitions in Sm3+. Importantly, white light-emitting diodes (W-LEDs) were prepared by combining the glass with a blue InGaN chip, eliminating the need for a red phosphor to provide the red light, and white light was generated with a high colour rendering index (CRI: 82.6), a low correlated colour temperature (CCT: 4455 K) and colour coordinates in the white light region (0.3547, 0.3234). The glasses show excellent stability at 85 °C and 85% RH. Therefore, the Sm3+-doped CsPbBr3 NCs glass can be used as a colour converter for application in lighting engineering.

Inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) doped with metal ions have received much attention due to their superior optoelectronic properties and environment friendly. Here, we synthesized Zn-doped CsPbBr3 perovskite NCs in borosilicate glass by melt-quenching. When ZnBr2 and PbBr2 were in half, the fluorescence intensity was enhanced, and the PLQYs increased from 32 to 36%. Under the excitation of 460 nm blue chip, white LED (WLED) was fabricated by using Zn-doped CsPbBr3 NCs glass and red phosphor powder CaAlSiN3:Eu2+. The experimental results show that the photoelectric parameters of the constructed white LED are considerable, among which the luminous efficacy (LE) is 70.1 lm/W, and a high LE is 72.79. However, pure CsPbBr3 has a low LE value of 26.1 lm/W and a CRI value of 76.9 Zn2+ doped CsPbBr3 can reduce the toxicity of materials and can be used to prepare high-performance optical devices. The study showed a new doped chemical model system for various optoelectronic applications.

All-inorganic perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have become a hot material in the field of photoelectricity due to their excellent properties, such as high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs), narrow emission wavelengths, and easily controlled PL spectra and particle sizes. However, colloidal perovskite QDs are readily oxidized, degraded in a humid environment, and generated by ion exchange. Here, the CsPb1-XSnXBr2I QDs were synthesized successfully, which the Sn2+ ions partly replacing Pb2+ to reduce the toxicity of Pb-based perovskite. The tunable PL spectrum and band gap from 2.27 to 2.14 eV were obtained by adjusting the Sn content. Meanwhile, we adopted a simple, green and low-cost approach to encapsulated CsPb1-XSnXBr2I QDs within solid paraffin, which not only greatly improved the water stability of QDs, but also maintained outstanding luminous intensity after being immersed in water for 20 days. Finally, the while light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) with varying correlated color temperature (CCT), color rendering index (CRI) and luminous efficiency (LE) based on a combination of blue chip, P–CsPb1-XSnXBr2I QDs and red phosphor were successfully achieved.

CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) quantum dots (QDs) are considered to be candidate materials for applications in the field of photoelectric devices due to their remarkable photoelectric properties, such as high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs), narrow emission wavelengths and easy synthesis. However, their instability and high toxicity restrict the further development of QDs. Here, we synthesized Sn-doped CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals in borosilicate glasses (B2O3-SiO2-ZnO, BSZ) by traditional melt-quenching for the first time. The sample exhibited excellent air stability and thermal stability. Based on these results, white-light-emitting devices were fabricated by incorporating CsPb0.64Sn0.36Br3 QDs glasses and commercial red phosphor (CaAlSiN3:Eu2+) into a blue LED device. The tunable color coordinates of (0.3179–0.3596, 0.3174–0.3665) and adjustable correlated color temperature (CCT) from 6119 K to 3128 K were successfully achieved in the white light area, which could promote the application of metal ion-doped perovskite QDs in photoelectric devices.

CsPbX3 perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) are still limited in their use due to their extreme instability in the air as they will deteriorate in a few days, and their thermal stability is not optimistic. In this study, the red CsPbBrxI3-x (X = 1.5, 1.0, 0.8, 0.5, 0.35, 0) NCs and Mn-doped CsPbBrxI3-x NC in zinc borosilicate (B2O3-SiO2-ZnO) glass with cubic perovskite crystal structure were successfully synthesized through melt-quenching and heat-treatment method, which exhibited strong red emission in region of 572 nm–708 nm under 365 nm excitation. Additionally they are stable in the air for several months while showing excellent thermal stability. It is worth mentioning that Mn-doped CsPbBrxI3-x NC glasses are brighter than CsPbBrxI3-x NC glasses under UV light. Because Mn-doped CsPbBrxI3-x NC glasses have good thermal and air stability, they can be used as a red fluorescent material. We fabricated glass with Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG:Ce3+) phosphor-in-glass (PiG) realized the chromaticity tuning for YAG:Ce3+ phosphor with white light-emitting-diodes (WLED).

Recently, all-inorganic cesium lead halide (CsPbX3) perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have been widely used in the photoelectric field. However, a major limitation of solution-processed PQDs for applications is inherent instability. Herein, we adopt strategy of passivation, CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) PQDs are encapsulated into super-hydrophobic silica aerogels (SiO2 AGs) to form a protective layer for resisting destruction by external forces. Importantly, the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of CsPbBr3@AGs composites achieves 71%, CsPbCl2Br1@AGs, CsPbBr3@AGs and CsPbBr1I2@AGs composites with narrow emissions can replace traditional phosphors as color converters. In addition, a high-performance liquid crystal display (LCD) with a wide color gamut (128% of National Television System Committee color space) is demonstrated using the prepared CsPbX3@AGs@PS composite film and blue light emitting diode (LED) chip as backlight. The combination of improved stability and wide color gamut of the perovskite material provides a viable approach for LCD backlight.

Mn-doped CsPbCl3 perovskite nanocrystals (PeNCs) glass was prepared by melt-quenching and in-situ crystallization. Under the protection of robust glass, PeNCs exhibit excellent moisture resistance and thermal stability. Due to the combination effect of thermal quenching and energy transfer of exciton-to-Mn2+, the emission intensity of Mn shows an abnormal temperature-dependence with the temperature increasing from 80 to 300 K, which can be explored further in the application of temperature sensor. Interestingly, by matching with ultraviolet chips, all-inorganic blue-red emitting conversion device consisting of PeNCs glasses were prepared for light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which can meet the light requirements of plant growth. The cultivation results indicated that growth of cabbages using PeNCs plant cultivation LEDs were greater than those cultivated using commercial w-LEDs. Therefore, Mn-doped CsPbCl3 PeNCs can be used as a new-generation of solid fluorescent materials in the field of indoor plant cultivation LEDs.

All-inorganic CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) hold tremendous prospect in optoelectronics. Different from the previous method of preparing perovskite glass, the self-crystallization of CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) PNCs glasses were successfully synthesized by introducing TiO2 into the glass matrix without subsequent annealing and heat treatment engineering. The effective realization of self-crystallization was attributed to the nucleating agent changing the glass structure which has been confirmed by DSC, XPS, FTIR tests. As a nucleating agent, TiO2 reduced the crystallization temperature of BSZ glasses and promoted controlled nucleation of PNCs. Surprisingly, the self-crystallized glass with high Photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 41.2% showed strong hydrothermal stability. After soaking in water for 30 days, the Pb2+ escaped did not change significantly. The green-emitting LEDs made of BSZ-xTi achieved tunable colour coordinates of (0.1038–0.1177, 0.7376–0.7386). Furthermore, combining BSZ-2Ti with BrI2-2Ti on InGaN chip, the wide-color-gamut covering 93.15% of the Rec. 2020 standard was achieved. This study has an important role in guiding the synthesis of time-saving, environment-friendly and low-cost PNCs glasses, which made a contribution to deepening the understanding of the promoting effect of related nucleating agents on nucleation of PNCs.

High-power, high-brightness laser lighting technology put forward new requirements for the service stability of color conversion materials. Phosphor-in-glass materials (PiGs) have emerged with their unique advantages of withstanding high power excitation density. High luminous efficiency (LE) and high internal quantum efficiency (IQE) LuAG:Ce PiG is still an urgent demand for high power laser lighting conversion materials. In this paper, LuAG:Ce PiGs was successfully prepared by careful design of glass matrix composition. The maximum internal quantum efficiency of LuAG:Ce PiG is 93.8%. The conversion efficiency (CE) of LuAG:Ce PiG from blue to green light is increased to 56.3%. The luminous efficiency (LE) even reaches 225 lm W−1, which is the best performance of LuAG:Ce in LD lighting so far. These results show that this work has taken a big step in improving the performance of LuAG:Ce Green converter and will greatly promote the development of LD lighting.

All-inorganic halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have become the most promising next generation luminescent materials due to their excellent properties. However, there are many nonradiative recombination defects in colloidal perovskite NCs, which reduce their luminescent efficiency and stability. In this work, we incorporated the alkaline-earth (AE) metal ion Ca2+ into NCs to further improve the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of CsPbBr3 and CsPbBr1I2 NCs. The PLQY of green-emitting CsPbBr3 and red-emitting CsPbBr1I2 NCs can be boosted to 72.3% and 78.7%, respectively by doping the optimum amount of Ca2+. At the same time, we adopted a simple and low-cost one-pot method to integrate Ca2+-CsPbX3 (X3 = Br3, Br1I2) NCs and superhydrophobic silica aerogels (AG), not only retaining the high PLQY of NCs, but also greatly improving the water, heat and light stability. Finally, the green-emitting Ca2+-CsPbBr3@AG, red-emitting Ca2+-CsPbBr1I2@AG composites and the blue chip as the light sources show a wide color gamut that accounts for 129% of the NTCS 1953 value and nearly 100% of the Rec.2020 value. Additionally, we fabricated white light-emitting diode (WLED) devices by coupling Ca2+-CsPbBr1I2@AG composites with commercial YAG:Ce3+ phosphors on blue chips, obtaining bright white light with a color rendering index (CRI) up to 92.2.

In the era of big data, the large amount of data generated every second requires modern and advanced data storage technologies. Femtosecond (fs) laser induced crystallization allow for the realization of fixed-point crystallization inside the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals glasses (CPB), which can be applied in data storage. However, CPB is prone to self-crystallization prior to further heat treatment, interfering with fs-induced crystallization inside the glass and seriously hindering its application in data storage. Herein, we first propose the inhibition of CPB from self-crystallization by modulating the content of ZnO (4–20 mol%) using a melt-quenching method. ZnO was employed as a network modifier and was closely related to the glass network structure. When the content of ZnO was 4%, the CPB did not self-crystallize and was colorless. It was applied in the rewritable data storage by combining the 800 nm fs laser-induced crystallization, annealing (460 ℃/0.5 h) and fs laser erasing (20 mW). This work demonstrates a simple and efficient way to control the self-crystallization of CPBs, enhancing their potential practical application in high-capacity optical data storage with ultra-long working lifetimes.

In recent years, numerous efforts have been made to develop single-phased white light-emitting phosphors for the near-UV region to solve problems of color reabsorption and ratio regulation between different phosphors. In this work, we have designed Bi3+- and Eu3+-codoped single-phased Gd2MgTiO6 phosphors to achieve tunable white light emission based on multi-luminescence center energy transfer. The structural analysis showed that all the samples were crystallized as a monoclinic double perovskite with the P21/n symmetry space group (No. 14), with HRTEM images showing clear lattice fringes between the lattice planes. The single Bi3+-doped Gd2MgTiO6 sample exhibits two obvious emission peaks at 417 and 508 nm, which correspond to a characteristic 3P1 → 1S0 transition for the Bi3+ ions under near-UV excitation due to two types of Bi3+ emission centers, with their relative emission intensity depending closely on the value of the excitation wavelength. In this case, a suitable choice of excitation wavelength can achieve tunable emission for Gd2MgTiO6: Bi3+ between blue and green. Eu3+ is codoped into Gd2MgTiO6 as a red emission component and shows sharp emission lines that correspond to the characteristic 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 1, 2, 3, and 4) transitions of Eu3+ ions. Energy transfer in Gd2MgTiO6: Bi3+, Eu3+ has been confirmed by the electric dipole–dipole (d–d) interaction from Bi3+ to Eu3+. Our experiments show that it is straightforward to create tunable white light emission by adjusting the excitation scheme and Eu3+ concentration. Moreover, a schematic for the energy transfer mechanism and simplified spectral levels based on Bi3+ and Eu3+ ions has also been established.

In recent times, white-light emitting diodes (W-LEDs) have been widely used as light sources. However, most of the commercial lamps lack the red-light component. Herein, study on a novel blue-light activated alkaline earth ion doped Mn4+:Y3Al5O12(Mn4+:YAG) phosphor, exhibiting a strong red emission that is attributed to the Mn4+: 2Eg→4A2g spin-forbidden transition in the 650–750 nm spectral region, that can be excited by both near-ultraviolet and blue chips is presented. The dopants Be2+, Mg2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+ were found to be significantly beneficial for enhancing Mn4+ luminescence, the related mechanism is systematically discussed here. In addition, the concentration quenching is systematically investigated. The crystal field strength (Dq) and the Racah parameters (B and C) are carefully calculated. After incorporating Mn4+/Be2+:YAG phosphors (glass ceramics) and GaAG phosphors into a blue LED device, white light with a high color rendering index and a low correlated color temperature is successfully obtained. Therefore, the Mn4+/Be2+:YAG phosphor can serve as color converter for application in W-LED.

To achieve efficient phosphors that address the shortage of red emission for use in white light emitting diodes (WLED), a series of red-emitting phosphors of Sr2MgGe2O7 doped with different concentrations of Mn4+ have been successfully fabricated by a high-temperature solid-state method. The crystal structure properties including the phase purity were analysed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Absolute quantum yield, temperature stability, and lifetime were utilized to characterize the samples. Furthermore, the excitation spectra of the samples exhibit two broad absorption bands with peaks located at approximately 308 nm and 419 nm, which could be excited by near-UV/blue LED light. The emission spectra range from 600 nm to 700 nm and exhibited a sharp peak at 659 nm due to the 4E→4A2 spin- and parity-forbidden transition of Mn4+. The optimal Mn4+ doping concentration in the Sr2MgGe2O7 host is determined to be 0.7%. The critical energy transfer distance of these phosphors is calculated to be about 26.61 A, and the concentration quenching mechanism is proved to correspond to a dipole-dipole interaction. The luminescence of the Sr2MgGe2O7:Mn4+ phosphors decrease gradually with increasing temperature, and the Sr2MgGe2O7:Mn4+ sample exhibits better thermal stability than the commercial Sr2Si5N8:Eu2+ red phosphors. The warm WLED is fabricated by combining the Sr2MgGe2O7:0.7%Mn4+ and YAG:Ce3+ phosphor with a 420-nm blue LED chip to explore its possible applications in warm WLED.

Various luminescent carbon materials are artificially synthesized and as admirable fluorescent materials because of the increased research of carbon nanodots (CDs). Herein, a novel solvent-dependent red CDs (rCDs) is introduced through solvothermal method. The as-prepared rCDs remain benzene structure and possess abundant surface function groups that endow them well solubility in various solvents. Furthermore, multicolor luminescence are observed when rCDs are dissolved in different solvents, and the emission wavelength of these materials can be well-tuned from 475 to 624 nm, which presents intensity solvent-dependent properties. Red luminescence carbon phosphors are successfully synthesized by mix rCDs with silica powder. Finally, warm white light emitting diodes (WLEDs) are constructed using rCDs powder with Ce3+: YAG single crystal and blue GaN chips. The results demonstrate that the rCDs can act as red component to modify the correlated color temperature (CCT) and the color rendering index (CRI) of WLEDs .

In this report, carbon nanodots (CDs) with tunable full-color emission were successfully synthesized by a solvothermal method. By changing the carbon source (p-phenylenediamine or o-phenylenediamine) and the concentration, green, yellow, orange and red CDs (GCDs, YCDs, OCDs and RCDs) were successfully fabricated. As the concentration of the starting materials was increased, the emission peak was red-shifted. The shifted peaks showed strong intensity and an obvious color change. This concentration-dependent effect was attributed to the reabsorption phenomenon. Carbon source was critical in determining the fluorescence properties and the quantum yield (QY) of full-color CDs was high. The CDs also presented a distinct pH sensitivity. The PL intensity of RCDs showed linear decreases over decreasing pH from 11 to 4 and from 4 to 2. Fluorescent oil carrying CDs was successfully applied for various purposes such as anti-counterfeiting, information encryption and storage purposes. An RCD film was successfully fabricated that could improve the correlated color temperature and color rendering index of white light-emitting diodes.

In prior work, fully inorganic perovskite nanocrystals of cesium lead halide (CsPbX3, X = Cl, Br, I), representing bright and tunable photoluminescence, have been synthesized using hot-inject approach and anion exchange reaction. Regrettably, the air instability and poor water resistant properties still hindered its application owing to their extremely fast reaction kinetics and easy anion exchange. Herein, we report a facile melting–quenching technique of CsPbX3 (X = Br, I) quantum dots (QDs) glass, and it also shows a tunable photoluminescence (520–698 nm) controlled by the molar ratios of halide precursors. This melting–quenching CsPbX3 QDs glass exhibits high luminescent intensity, narrow photoluminescence (PL) emission, including the similar bandgap energies as CsPbX3 QDs solution. The chemical stability and tunable emission make perovskite QDs glass appealing for lighting display, particularly for warm lighting source, which realize the application of solid-state lighting for CsPbX3 QDs.

In recent years, perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have been considered novel and potentially valuable optical gain materials that can generate relatively low thresholds and stable stimulated emissions in various external environments. Here, for the first time, an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) film-protected metal halide perovskite (Cs4PbBr6) solid powder was successfully synthesized, and its photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) value was as high as 61%. In addition, because the Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film has excellent optical gain performance, this work explored the optical gain of the Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film under 800 nm femtosecond (fs) laser excitation. The experimental results show that the Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film has a low threshold (0.89 mJ/cm2) and stable stimulated emission and generates amplified spontaneous emissions (ASEs) at 544 nm. In addition, the application of Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film in the field of white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) has also been studied. The color gamut of this Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film is as high as 124.7% of the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) 1953 standard color gamut and covers 92.8% of the Rec. 2020 standard color gamut. This work proposes a simple method to solve the problem of the poor stability of perovskite solid powder, and the prepared Cs4PbBr6@EVA composite film shows significant promise in WLED and laser applications.

With the high demand of modern people for lighting quality, higher requirements have been put forward for the lighting technology. Compared with traditional light emitting diodes (LEDs), laser diode (LD)-driven lighting technology has more prominent advantages in the fields of industry, military and life. Here, we report a phosphor-in-glass (PiG) material formed by co-firing commercial β-Sialon:Eu2+ phosphor and SiO2-Na2CO3-H3BO3-CaO (SNBC) glass. It is found that the powder perfectly dispersed in the glass without obvious interface reaction. Fluorescence intensity of PiG sintered at 800 °C is the strongest, and the position of the luminescence peak is around 540 nm. Then through the analysis of different concentrations of PiG phosphors, it is found that the internal quantum efficiency (IQE) can reach 72%. The specific heat capacity decreases with the increase of temperature, indicating that the heat dissipation effect is fine. Under the blue LD irradiation of 450 nm, the luminous flux of the PiG sample reaches 363 lm and the high luminous efficiency of 154 lm/W. Our research found that the prepared β-Sialon-PiG can provide green light for high-power laser illumination and is a stable and efficient fluorescent conversion material.

CsPbX3 (X = Br, I) quantum dots (QDs) have gradually become the star materials in light-emitting diodes (LED), but its stability has a big impact on development. Here, a variety of novel CsPbX3-TS-1 nanocomposites have been fabricated and the luminescence wavelength can be tunable by varying the halide nanocomposites (Br, I). What's particularly nice is that the original photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of CsPbBr1l2 QDs approaches 82% and it still has close to 74% after being combined with TS-1. Besides, the nanocomposites enhance stability resisting moisture, thermal stressing and light. In addition, a 460 nm InGaN blue chip, YAG:Ce3+ and CsPbBr1I2-TS-1 were equipped with white light emitting diodes (WLEDs), with a luminous effect of 95 lm/W, a color rendering index of 80, and a color temperature of 5144 K. Meanwhile, wide color gamut (116% of the National Television Standards Committee, 86.3% of the ITU-R Recommendation BT. 2020) and great chromaticity coordinate (0.3425, 0.3408) are realized. This is a very important step to open up the awkward situation of the practical application of perovskite QDs materials in LED.

Fully inorganic perovskites cesium lead halide (CsPbX3, X = Cl, Br, I and Cl/Br and Br/I mixed halide systems) nanocrystals (NCs), representing bright and tunable photoluminescence, have been widely studied and recognized as promising materials for optoelectronic devices in recent years. In spite of the excellent luminescent properties of CsPbX3 NCs, their instability and the colloidal characteristics are still the important issues which obstruct their practical applications. In this paper, a novel CsPbX3 epoxy resin (ER) composite combining with the Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG:Ce3+) phosphor-in-glass (PiG) was fabricated by tape-casting techniques, which demonstrated to be the material of favorable thermal insulation and high refractive index effectively enhanced the stability of CsPbX3 NCs and realized the warm lighting tuning for YAG:Ce3+ phosphor with white light-emitting-diodes (WLED). Importantly, the red CsPbX3-ER film on the Ce-PiG substrate (Ce-PiG & CsPbI2Br-ER) composite with the stacking geometric configuration fabricated by tape-casting was designed to solve red deficiency problem. The Ce-PiG & CsPbX3-ER composite showed an excellent stability and it sustained the luminescent properties of CsPbX3 NCs. Interestingly, the green-red light radiated by Ce-PiG can excite CsPbX3 perovskite effectually. We obtained a high-performance WLED with a CRI of 90.5, a CCT of 4067 K, a LE of 42.12 lm/W and D μ ν of 0.0054 under 20 mA current driving. Accordingly, this as-obtained CsPbX3-ER composite reveals the prominent feasibility of the present luminescent materials in solid-state warm lighting source.

Metal-halide perovskites have been hailed as remarkable materials for photovoltaic devices and, recently, their star has also been on the rise in optoelectronics and photonics. Nevertheless, challenging issues, such as the thermal/chemical stability and high-performance devices with long-term stability, limit their practical applications. Here, we successfully prepared CsPbBr 3 NCs incorporated into mesoporous silica (NCs-MS) by a simple stirred of MS with CsPbBr 3 NCs blended in toluene solution. The resultant NCs-MS nanocomposite exhibit excellent optical performance and good thermal and photostability under illumination of UV light for 120 h. Additionally, NCs-MS nanocomposite is resistant to water, which are beneficial for the fabrication of white light-emitting diode (WLED) devices. Thereby a WLED was constructed by combining NCs-MS nanocomposite with Sr 2 Si 5 N 8 :Eu 2+ red phosphor on an InGaN blue chip, achieving a highly efficient luminous efficacy of 47.6 lm/W. Moreover, the WLED also demonstrate wonderful color stability under 120 mA current. This work opens up the exciting opportunity of using all-inorganic CsPbBr 3 NCs-MS nanocomposite for high performance and low-cost WLEDs applications.

As an emerging scintillation material, metal halide perovskite ( CsPbX 3 ) has been deemed the most potentially valuable candidate in X-ray detection and medical imaging. Nevertheless, it is a continuing challenge to implement efficient radioluminescence (RL) with high radiation stability and moisture resistance. Moreover, the optimized luminescence properties and excellent uniformity of CsPbX 3 glass are also key points for obtaining perfect X-ray images. Herein, we have successfully precipitated Eu 3 + -doped CsPbBr 3 nanocrystals (NCs) with improved photoluminescence quantum yield ( ≈ 58.6 % ) because partial Eu 3 + entered the perovskite lattice in a robust borosilicate glass matrix by in situ crystallization. The small amount of Eu addition made the lattice of NCs shrink and promoted uniform distribution of CsPbBr 3 NCs in the glass, which effectively reduced the light scattering of the sample. Subsequently, multimodal RL intensity of the CsPbBr 3 / CsPbBr 3 :xEu NCs glasses (CPB-0Eu/CPB-xEu) as a function of X-ray dose rate showed a superlinear relationship to the benefit of obtaining satisfactory X-ray images. Also, the outstanding radiation stability and water resistance of CPB-xEu were confirmed due to the protection of the robust glass matrix. Finally, an X-ray imaging system using a CPB-xEu scintillator was constructed, and the spring in the opaque sample was legibly detected under the motivation of X-rays, indicating that CsPbX 3 glasses possess extensive application prospects in terms of X-ray detection and medical imaging.
