Abstract

In this article, the possibility of controlling the movement of fibers inside the tube in a certain process by changing the dimensions of the tube of the pneumomechanical spinning machine confusor was determined. As a result of processing the experimental data, taking into account the deformation of the belt element, a formula was obtained that clearly expresses the increase in the drag force with the increase in the values of the airflow speed. Also, to improve the level of straightening of the fibers during the flow in the tube, the optimal values of the air speed along the OX axis of the fibers in the conical tube, the surface value of the outlet part of the tube, the slope angle, and the air resistance coefficient were determined.

Abstract

This article discusses a method for solving the problem of increasing the adhesion strength of silicate brick to peel with masonry mortars based on a study of the work of scientists in this direction, the physicomechanical properties of currently manufactured silicate brick from sand dunes and its production technology. Implementation of the goal of enrichment of a mixture of ultrafine active mineral additives, which allows you to effectively control the process of coagulation structure of formation and formation of the optimal structure with improved physical and mechanical properties. The properties of ultrafine active mineral additives based on local plant waste from agriculture are experimentally determined and investigated. Possible joint utilization of rice husk wastes in the resource turnover will lead to a reduction in environmental impact.

Abstract

For the first time, the influence of temperature and a transverse strong magnetic field on the oscillations of the density of energy states is studied in the conduction band of heterostructures with quantum wells HgCdTe/CdHgTe. Analytical expressions are derived for oscillations of the density of states in quantum-dimensional heterostructural materials in the presence of transverse quantizing magnetic fields with a parabolic dispersion law. A new mathematical model has been developed for calculating the temperature dependence of the density of states oscillations in nanosized heterostructural materials under the action of a transverse quantizing magnetic field.

Abstract

This article investigated the temperature dependence of the width band gap in InxGa1-xAs quantum well in the presence of a transverse strong magnetic field. A new method was proposed for determining the width band gap of GaAs/InxGa1-xAs heterostructures based on a InxGa1-xAs quantum well in the presence of a magnetic field and temperature. An analytical expression is obtained for calculating the width band gap of a rectangular quantum well at various magnetic fields and temperatures.

Abstract

In order to better understand the transition from quantum to classical behavior in spin system, electron magnetic resonance (EMR) is studied in suspensions of superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles with an average diameter of ~ 9 nm and analyzed in comparison with the results obtained in the maghemite particles of smaller size (~ 5 nm). It is shown that both types of particles demonstrate common EMR behavior, including special features such as the temperature-dependent narrow spectral component and multiple-quantum transitions. These features are common for small quantum systems and not expected in classical case. The relative intensity of these signals rapidly decreases with cooling or increase of particle size, marking gradual transition to the classical FMR behavior.

Abstract

A technology has been developed and an optimal solution has been found for obtaining p0-n0 junctions based on lightly doped GaAs layers, with high values of electrical parameters and specified thicknesses of the base layers for creating ultra-high-speed high-voltage pulsed three-electrode switches with a photoninjection mechanism for the transfer of no ne quorum charge carriers. The dependence of the switching stability relative to the control pulse of the created high-voltage photonic-injection switches in a wide current and frequency mode of their operation, its sensitivity to various external and internal influences of these parameters has been studied. Those on the thickness of the p0-layer, on the transfer coefficient &945;, on the breakdown voltage Utrial, high-voltage p0-n0 transition, on the thickness of the solution-melt, on the temperature of the onset of crystallization, as well as the dependence of the transfer coefficient on the thickness of the p0-layer. Abstract

© 2017 Elsevier LtdIn this study the mineral matrix based on hydrous sodium metasilicate (NSH5) activated slag cement (AASC) was found to be suitable for solidification of borate solutions with pH 8.5–10.5 and concentration up to 200 g/L. Parameters such as setting times and compressive strength of the waste forms based on AASC and borate wastes can be influenced by the ratio of NSH5 and H3BO3 content. The dosage of 7% Na2O in the alkali activator per slag provides acceptable setting times and 28-day compressive strength of the waste forms in the range 49.7–56.1 MPa depending on pH of the borate solutions. Lowering the pH of borate solutions results in a reduced rate of setting of the fresh AASC paste, retardation in the structural formation of the hardened AASC paste, a reduced degree of hydration, and a reduction in the amount of calcium silicate hydrates and hydrotalcite. The product of AASC-based mineral matrix and simulated borate wastes interaction is ulexite (NaCaB5O6(OH)6(H2O)5).

Providing the quality laser of surfacing the edges of teeth requires control not only the energy of the radiation parameters, but also the position of the focal spot. The control channel of position of laser focus during surfacing, which determines the parameters of quality of the deposited layer, was calculated in the work. The parameters of the active opto-electronic system for the subsystem adjust the focus position relative to the deposited layer with a laser illumination of the cutting edges the teeth cutters were calculated, the model of a control channel based on thermal phenomena occurring in the zone of surfacing was proposed.

The results of research of the effect of plasma treatment process on the microstructure and the thickness distribution of microhardness of the product and the formation of heat affected zone were presented. The resulting information (informative) data and measured values of microhardness in the hardened layers, depending on the plasma processing modes allow you to manage the process of heat treatment of metals. Designed programming model that works on the basis of the solution of the heat equation, allows to predict and investigate the temperature field after exposure to the plasma stream.

The increasing worldwide production of Portland cement and demand to reduce CO 2 emissions has resulted in the need to increase the volume and varieties of supplementary cementitious materials. The most promising source of raw materials for the production of supplementary cementitious materials is ubiquitous and unlimited reserves of polymineral clays. In this article the effect of calcined loam clays depending on its concentration, calcination temperature (400-800°C), and specific surface area (250-800 m 2 /kg) on the properties of Portland cement is studied. It is found out the calcined loam clays increase the compressive strength of Portland cement hardened paste up to 35%, density up to 1.4%, water resistance from 0.92 to 0.93-0.97, and decrease the water adsorption from 1 to 0.9%. The reasonability of production and application of calcined loam clays, which aren’t lower in efficiency than high-priced metakaolin, is stated.
