The purpose of this article is to analyze the intellectual mindset of the declining ilmiyye class in the 17th century through the life of Vânî Mehmed Efendi, a figure much discussed in the texts and proposals of the period, who belonged to the Ottoman ilmiyye class. While monographic and biographical studies on the Ottoman ilmiyye typically focus on theology, jurisprudence, and exegesis, works on Vânî Mehmed Efendi are also concentrated in these areas. Analyses that utilize the multi-perspective approaches of political theory, economic history, intellectual history, and the sociology of religion are limited when examining the mindset of a period. Therefore, this article aims to contribute to the field with a holistic analysis within a multi-perspective approach. In this article, besides Vânî Mehmed Efendi's own works, texts written both in favor and against him have been analyzed. The claims and allegations in these texts are evaluated by placing Vânî Efendi's biography within the economic, social, and political conditions of the time, based on Wright Mills' theory of sociological imagination. Epistemologically, one cannot expect a direct overlap between a historical figure and the information written or attributed about them. The method involves critically examining the definitions and concepts that the human mind must process to find truth, organizing them systematically, and placing them in their historical and social context to analyze the mindset of the period. Bu elmi tədqiqat işində diaspor nəzəriyyəsində dini fəlsəfənin yeri və rolunu araşdırılmış, diaspora ilə dinin konseptuallaşdırılmasının mümkünlüyü ilə bağlı müzakirələrə aydınlıq gətirilmişdir. Diasporun etnik-milli, sosial-mədəni reallıqlarla yanaşı, dini kimlik kontekstində öyrənilməsinin nəzəri-praktiki əhəmiyyəti üzə çıxarılmışdır. Azərbaycan kontekstində diaspora-din münasibətinin ortaq məxrəcə gəlməsi yoluna dair tövsiyə və təkliflər verilmişdir. Məqalədə insan cəmiyyətində, millətlərin və xalqların tarixi vətənlərindən kənarda yaşaması və vahid icma halında məqsədyönlü fəaliyyəti anlayışının – diaspora termininin əmələ gəlməsinə başlıca səbəb dini fəaliyyət olduğu qənaətinə gəlinmişdir. Dinin tarix boyu miqrasiya, şəxsiyyət və diaspor icmalarının mədəniyyətləri ilə bağlı olduğu üzə çıxarılmışdır.Gəldiyi nəticə ondan ibarətdir ki, din amilindən sui-istifadə edilməsinin, xurafat və dünyəvi inkişafa maneə yaratmasının qarşısının alınması çox vacibdir. Azərbaycan diasporunun da mənəvi-dini məsələlərə diqqət yetirməsi labüddür. “Tolerantlığın və mülki inteqrasiyanın milli konsepsiyası” planları hazırlanarkən bu elementlər diqqətdə saxlanılmasının vacibliyi göstərilmişdir.

Hititler, karşılaştıkları sorunların sebebini öfkelenen bir tanrının ülkeyi/kenti/tapınağı terk etmesiyle açıklamışlardır. Buna fırsat vermemek için öncelikle yapılması gereken, tanrılara kurbanlar sunmak, yiyecek-içecek vermek, bakımlarını yapmak (rutin işlemler/gündelik ritüeller) ile görkemli, şatafatlı; övgü, saygı ve duaların eşlik ettiği bayram ritüellerini aksatmamak gerekmektedir. Tanrıdaki öfke ise hastalık, salgın, kıtlık, kuraklık, ev içinde kan, lanet, gözyaşı gibi istenmeyen pek çok durumun ortaya çıkmasına yol açacaktır. Hatti kökenli “Kaybolan Tanrı Telipinu” mitosu, bu durumu özetleyen bir örnektir. Mitos, ortalardan kaybolan, kaybolurken de bolluğu, bereketi, ülkede iyi olan her şeyi beraberinde götüren tanrının bulunup geri getirilmesi teması üzerine kurulmuştur. Tanrı, kirlilik yüzünden çok uzaklara gitmiştir. Tanrının geri dönmesi için bu kirlilikten arınması gerekmektedir. Kirlilik, “büyü, lanet, beddua, kötü dil, cinayet, ölülere dokunma, kirletilmiş gıdalardan yeme, yalandan yemin etme, tanrıları kızdırma vb.”gibi eylemlerle ortaya çıkmakta; “tanrıların ülkeyi/kenti/tapınağı terk etmesi, çeşitli hastalıklar, salgın, hasadın verimsizliği, ordunun başarısızlığı, aile içinde geçimsizlik vb.” gibi çeşitli istenmeyen durumlara yol açmakta; “arınma ritüelleri” ile bertaraf edilebilmektedir. “Tanrıyı geri döndürme/çağırma ritüelleri” aynı zamanda, kaybolan tanrıyı öfke ve kinden kurtarmak için yapılan bir “arınma/arındırma ritüeli”dir. Binlerle ifade edilen sayıda tanrıya sahip olan Hitit toplumunda tanrıyı geri döndürmek için çaba göstermek yerine, onun gidişine engel olmak daha kabul görmüş olmalı ki, belgelerin büyük çoğunluğu tanrıları hoş tutmak amacına yöneliktir.

Türk halk kültürünün temel sözlü eserlerinden Dede Korkut Kitabı birçok unsuru barındırmaktadır. Kitapta medeniyeti oluşturan öncüllerden, dini muhtevanın oldukça yoğun şekilde işlendiği görülmektedir. Türk toplumunun inanç tarihi elbette oldukça zengindir ve Dede Korkut Kitabı da bu mozaiğin nadide taşlarından biridir. Türklerin, İslam öncesi mistik inançlarının yer aldığı bu harmoni, İslam sonrası dönemde de uyum ve ahenk azalmamış; aksine arttırmıştır. Zira Türklerin yaşama dair benimsedikleri anlamlandırmanın neden olduğu müspet dönüştürme kabiliyetinin bu süreçte önemli bir etkisi olmuştur. Din ve toplumlara karşı bağnaz yaklaşım sergilemeyen Türklerin bu özellikleri İslamlaşma sonrası da devam etmiştir. Türk halk kültürünün asırlar boyunca benimsediği bu yaklaşım İslam sonrası dönemde tasavvuf merkezli bir yorumla devam etmiştir. Zira tasavvuf, İslam’ın derinliği olan yumuşak fakat aksiyoner yorumudur. Dede Korkut Kitabı’nın hemen başında yer alan Boğaç Han Destanı’nda gözlemlenen tasavvufi yorumun zenginliği dikkat çekmektedir. Türkler İslam’ı yaşarken kendinde var olan ve zamanla geliştirdiği değerlerini tasavvuf ile yoğururken zorlanmadıkları görülür. Çünkü İslam’ın dinamik ve engin anlam dünyasına dair bir yolculuk olan tasavvuf, Türklerin bitmeyen mücadelesine yenilik kazandırmıştır. Boğaç Han hikâyesinde de görülen bu uğraş Türk’ün gâza bilincinin tasavvufun mücâhede kavramıyla adeta mezcolmuştur. Türklerin savaşçı ruhunun tüm yaşamını şekillendirmiş olması ile tasavvufun en temel uğraş konusu olan nefsi terbiye etme çabasının son nefese kadar devam etmesi Türk-tasavvuf birlikteliğinin motivasyonlarından sadece biridir. Bitmeyen mücadelenin muhatabı olan Türkler ile tasavvufun kültür ve medeniyete yansımış birçok olaydan sadece birisidir Boğaç Han Destanı. Boğaç Han’ın başından geçenler incelendiğinde birçok kültürel motifin rastlantı eseri sebep-sonuca tesir etmediği görülmüştür. Türklerin İslam öncesinde olduğu gibi İslam sonrası inançlarında rastlantının yeri olmadığı görülmektedir. Bütün evrenin Tanrı ile ilişki içerisinde olduğuna inanan Türklerin inanç, eylem ve ahlak bağlamında İslam’ın başta tevhid olmak üzere hemen tüm akidesine kültürel olarak hazır olduğu söylenebilir. Zira çalışmamıza konu olan Boğaç Han Destan’ındaki olay örgüsü içerisinde yer alan metaforların mistik tarih boyunca ortak anlamlarda buluştukları anlaşılmaktadır. Hatta kimi zaman destandaki olayların İslam ve İslam öncesi semâvi dinlerin peygamberlerinin hayatlarıyla benzerlik göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte tasavvufi kültürün ölmeyen şahsiyetlerinden olan veli kültünün İslam öncesi Türk inanç sistemindeki benzerlikleri tespit edilmiştir. Bütün bunlardan daha ilginç olanı ise Boğaç Han Destanı’nda verilen mücadelenin Kur’an-ı Kerim’deki bazı âyetlerin âdete tefsiri şeklinde yorumlanabilmesidir. Tasavvufi/işâri tefsirin mümkün kıldığı bu yorumlar Türklerin İslam’ı benimserken neden tasavvufi geleneğin belirleyici bir aks olduğunun da izahı mahiyetindedir. Bu manada destanda kullanılan bazı mistik metaforların Türklerin uzun tarihi boyunca biriktirdikleri ruhsal mirasın İslam sonrası dönemde yeniden yorumlandığı unsurlar olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Bu iddiayı pekiştirecek metaforlar üzerinden Boğaç Han Destanı’nın dini ve tasavvufi tahlilinin yapılmaya çalışıldığı bu makale ilk ve özgün çalışma olacaktır.

Son yıllarda ülkemizde din psikolojisi alanında veriye dayalı dindarlık araştırmaları artmıştır. Dindarlığın pek çok bağımlı ve bağımsız değişkenle birlikte araştırıldığı görülmektedir. Dindarlığı konu edinen çalışmalardaki artış, bu konuda meta-analitik çalışmaların yapılması gerekliliğini göstermektedir. Ancak yerli alanyazında özellikle cinsiyet değişkenini ele alan birkaç meta-analitik çalışma dışında diğer demografik değişkenlerle dindarlık ilişkisini inceleyen meta-analiz çalışması bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada dindarlık üzerinde medeni durum değişkeninin etkisini anlamak için meta-analiz araştırması yapılmıştır. Çalışmamızın Türkiye’de medeni durum-dindarlık ilişkisini ele alan ilk meta-analiz araştırması olması, çalışmanın önemini artırmaktadır. Bu meta-analiz araştırması için öncelikle anahtar kelimeler ile birlikte dâhil edilme kriterleri belirlenmiş ve Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanında bu kriterlere göre arama yapılmıştır. 11 doktora, 59 yüksek lisans ve 1 tıpta uzmanlık tezi olmak üzere toplamda 71 tezin dâhil edilme kriterlerine uyduğu ve metaanaliz için uygun veriler içerdiği görülmüştür. Bu tezlerden 4’ü iki farklı veri içerdiği için her bir veri seti ayrı bir çalışma olarak araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Böylece meta-analize dâhil edilen çalışma sayısı 75’e yükselmiştir. Araştırma örneklemi 19346’sı evli (%55,8), 15307’si bekâr (%44,2) olmak üzere toplam 34653 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada genel dindarlık puanları esas alınmış olup, etki büyüklüğü (Hedges’s g), yayın yanlılığı ve heterojenlik testi CMA v.4 analiz programı aracılığıyla hesaplanmıştır. İnsanlık tarihinde en önemli olaylardan birinin Sanayi Devrimi olduğu söylenebilir. Zira Sanayi Devrimi insanın örgütlenme, iletişim kurma ve üretme şeklini, kısacası tüm yaşam tarzını değiştirmiştir. Devrimin üstel şekilde ilerlemesinin siyasi, ekonomik, sosyokültürel, entelektüel ve dinî manada bir dönüşüme yol açmasının yanı sıra bilgisayarlaşma ve dijitalleşme süreciyle fiziki dünyaya alternatif olarak dijital bir dünyanın kurulmasını da olanaklı hale getirdiği ileri sürülebilir. Teknolojik gelişmeler; biyoloji ve tıp alanlarının kabiliyetini artırarak insan kapasitesinin yükseltilmesi, ömrünün uzatılması hatta ölümsüzlük gibi biyolojik insanın ötesine işaret eden transhümanizm fikrini güçlendirmiştir. Transhümanizm; teknolojik olanaklardan yararlanarak insanı hastalık, acı ve yoksulluk gibi “sorun”lardan uzaklaştıran, insanın biyolojik bir varlık olması dolayısıyla sahip olduğu sınır ve kısıtlamaları ortadan kaldırarak hem fiziksel hem de bilişsel olarak geliştirilmesini amaçlayan ve insanı ölümsüzlüğe götüren siber yaşamı vadeden bir hareket olarak tanımlanabilir. Transhümanizm, modern bireyin yaşamını ilgilendiren tüm alanları kuşatan bir felsefeye sahip olmasından dolayı sadece bir hareket değil yaşam felsefesi, yaşam tarzı, ideoloji, düşünce sistemi, yeni çağ inanışı, yeni dini hareket ve sosyolojik anlamda bir din olarak da araştırma konusu yapılmaktadır. Mevcut çalışma, transhümanizmi dijital modernlik çerçevesinde ele almaktadır. Web 2.0 teknolojisi üzerine inşa edilen ve modernizmin yeni evresi olarak kabul edilen dijimodernizm, postmodernizmin geride kaldığını iddia etmekte ve dijital teknolojinin metinsellikle buluşması ile metnin dijitalleşerek sabit formdan uzaklaşıp sürekli revize edilebilen bir doğaya kavuşmasına işaret etmektedir. Literatür taraması tekniğine dayanan bu çalışma, transhümanizmi dijital modernizm bağlamında ele alarak onun dijital bir inanç formu olarak tartışılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Bir başka ifade ile makale, transhümanizmin sosyolojik zaviyeden (diji)modern bir din veya dinsellik görünümü arz eden bir olgu olarak ele alınmasının imkânını tartışmayı hedeflemektedir.

This paper provides an in-depth analysis of select magazines published by Islamic socio-religious organizations in Kashmir, India. It explores various aspects of these publications, including thematic prevalence, framing techniques, symbolic representation, tone, and the portrayal of religion and faith. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, along with content analysis, this study applies Ninian Smart's Seven Dimensions of Religion as its primary theoretical and methodological framework. Key findings highlight recurring themes of ethics, social justice, and community solidarity, alongside the use of persuasive language and rhetorical techniques such as repetition, symbolism, and imagery. The magazines portray religion as a source of guidance and compassion, with ethical and social themes (64.5%) prominently featuring topics like proper conduct, human rights, women's rights, Islamic law, social issues, and community relations. Overall, the positive tone of the publications underscores the role of Islamic magazines in fostering community cohesion and influencing public discourse within Kashmir. This study is of notable relevance for religious practitioners and offers valuable insights for government agencies aiming to engage with Islamic organizations in the region, promoting collaborative approaches to address community needs and inform policy development.

PK filmi üzerinden din psikolojisi perspektifiyle din, dindarlık ve Tanrı tahayyülü temalarının analiz edildiği bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi ve içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Filmde Hindistan’ın çok dinli yapısının betimlenebilmesi için Hinduizm, Budizm, Sihizm, Caynizm, Hristiyanlık ve İslam dinlerine yer verilmektedir. Fakat filmin konusu ağırlıklı olarak Hinduizm, Hristiyanlık ve İslam dini örnekleriyle işlenmiştir. PK filminin genel üslubunda hiciv tarzı görülmektedir. Bununla birlikte filmde kullanılan “Bizi yaratan Tanrı’ya inanın. O’na güvenin. Kendi yarattığınız sahte Tanrıları ise yok edin.” repliğiyle filmin dini inanç konusunda doğrudan mesaj verdiği de görülmüştür. PK filminde yer alan eleştiri konuları dini lider (günümüz toplumundaki temsilcileri) ve din adamları, inanç esasları, bazı dini yönelimli halk inanışları, inanç sömürüsü, misyonerlik, din ve terör ilişkisi ve dış güdümlü dindarlık şeklinde kategorize edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda filmde herhangi bir dine yönelik tebliğ ya da misyonerlik faaliyeti görülmemiştir. Ele alınan her bir dinin Tanrı tahayyülünün kendi düşünceleri etrafında objektif olmaya çalışılarak yansıtıldığı söylenebilir. PK karakterinin düşüncelerinin ve Tanrı tahayyülünün şekillenmesinde insanın gelişim ve dini gelişim evrelerine benzer bir sürecin izlendiği de söylenebilir.

This study focuses on the formation and change of religious beliefs in the age of social media. Accordingly, this study aims to determine how social media is used in religious contexts. Another aim of the study is to reveal how the formation and change processes of religious beliefs are realized through social media tools. In line with these objectives, the official X account of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye - Presidency of Religious Affairs named "Diyanet English", which shares posts in English, was analyzed using the content analysis method. The posts made from this account between July 1, 2023 and July 1, 2024 were analyzed for the aim of the study using the MAXQDA 2022 package program. The data obtained within the framework of the analysis were coded and the subject distribution, sub-codes, and word cloud of the shared content were presented. When the findings and results obtained in the study were evaluated, it was determined that the Presidency of Religious Affairs shared mostly religious information, official statements, and content related to social and communal issues from the account in question. In addition, it was concluded that this account is not used actively, the posts were limited, and there was a lack of interactive use.

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, Erbil’in romanında anlatılan kadın karakterin din ve kimlik krizinin boyutlarını görünür kılmaktır.Yöntem: Bu çalışmada; Din ve Kimlik Algısı kavramı incelenmiştir.Bulgular: Sosyal bilimler alanında defaatle çalışılan başlıklardan biri olan kadın konusu, sosyoloji ve edebiyatın ortak inceleme alanlarından bir tanesidir. Birçok akademik çalışmada farklı bağlamlardan ele alınmaktadır ve kendi içerisinde özel alt dallarda incelenmektedir. Özellikle kadın bedeni, kadın hakları, toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri, toplumsal kimliğin inşası, ataerkil toplumda kadının yeri ve feminizm gibi başlıklar çerçevesinde kadının tanımı yapılmaktadır. Kadının toplumdaki rolünün ne olduğu üzerinde ortak bir kanaate ulaşılamamış olsa da gelenekler ve kültürel çerçeve neticesinde kadının konumu belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Nitekim Leyla Erbil’in Tuhaf Bir Kadın adlı romanında da başkahraman Nermin’in geleneksel aile ve ataerkil-dindar toplum yapısı karşısında ki direnişi dikkat çekmektedir. Özgürlüğünü elde etmek isterken verdiği mücadele yazarın kendi döneminin nüansları doğrultusunda anlatılır. Bunun yanı sıra ataerkil yapının içinde yok sayıldığına inandığı kadın kimliğini ortaya çıkarmaya çalışmaktadır. Sonuç: Kadınların her şeye rağmen verdikleri var olabilme mücadelesi fikrinden yola çıkılan bu çalışmada, başkahramanın varoluşsal anlam arayışı ve kimlik bunalımı içerisinde ideolojik bir çöküntü yaşadığı tespit edilmiştir.

Based on the Marine environment monitoring data of Yueqing Bay in spring, summer, autumn and winter from 2018 to 2019, the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of nutrient salts (dissolved inorganic nitrogen, DIN) and active phosphate (DIP) in the sea were analyzed, and the pollution degree, eutrophication degree and nutrient structure of the sea area were evaluated by single factor index method, eutrophication index method and potential eutrophication model. The results showed that there were seasonal differences in nutrient concentration in Yueqing Bay, with the average DIN concentration in autumn>summer>spring>winter, and the average DIP concentration in autumn > winter = spring > summer. In terms of spatial distribution, DIN concentration showed a gradual upward trend from the mouth of the bay to the top of the bay, while DIP concentration showed different seasonal distribution trends. A few key aspects that affect the DIN distribution pattern include land source input, seawater cultivation, and engineering construction. The primary factors affecting the distribution pattern of DIP are sediment release, seawater culture, and power plant temperature drainage. The results of the single factor index method showed that the nutrient concentrations of most of the surveyed stations in the four seasons of Yueqing Bay did not meet the second and fourth types of seawater quality standards, and were mainly concentrated in the top and middle of the bay. The results of eutrophication index method showed that the sea area of Yueqing Bay was in a state of eutrophication to varying degrees throughout the year, and it was the most serious in autumn. The analysis of potential eutrophication patterns showed that the N/P ratio of most of the survey stations in this area was generally greater than that of the Redfield ratio (16), and the water were mainly in a phosphorus-restricted state in spring and summer, and unrestricted in autumn and winter.

Mesopotamian culture is based on a common religious view and consists of theocratic states ruled first by priest-kings. Mesopotamia is one of the crucial geographies where history is illuminated by art. This art reflects the feelings and thoughts of people and provides important clues about their world. The Sumerians' invention of writing was a significant development, but other developments and innovations in Mesopotamia also affected ancient societies such as the Middle East and Anatolia. Art is at the forefront of these developments and innovations. Centers such as Göbeklitepe, Kuruçay, Nevali Çori, Çayönü, Hacılar, and Eriha-Jericho contain early examples of this art. Works of art such as the Vultures Stele, Ur Standard, Uruk Warka Vase, Naram-Sin Victory Stele, and Lion Hunt Stele are essential examples for our subject with their depictions of gods, kings, and heroes. This visual art of Mesopotamia is essential for the history of the Ancient Age as it provides information that thousands of written documents cannot convey. In Mesopotamian art, where gods and heroes (kings) are seen from the Neolithic Age to the Early Bronze Age, the concepts of gods and kings occupy a central place in art. However, it is also evident that these depictions developed and changed over time. Looking at these depictions, it is understood that while gods represent the spirit world and beliefs, heroes (king or emperor) symbolize earthly power. In these works of art, heroes are usually depicted as hunters, warriors, or kings. This heroism, which extends to the claim of god or godhood, reflects new administrative powers, economic prosperity, and military development.

Introduction: The rapid advances in marine engineering projects are exacerbating environmental pressures on bay ecosystems. This study utilized the MIKE 21 model to evaluate the impacts of such projects in Laizhou Bay (LZB) on hydrodynamic conditions and the spread of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) from riverine inputs. Results: The results indicated an expansion of 80.77 km2 in areas with DIN concentrations surpassing 0.5 mg/L 2 months after input from the Yellow River, with increased levels in the southern Yellow River Delta. Decreased flow velocities adjacent to the wave barriers at the Xiaoqing River estuary impeded lateral DIN dispersion, resulting in a 0.93 mg/L increase in DIN concentrations at the river mouth. After the construction of marine engineering projects (2020), significant alterations in the coastline of LZB have markedly modified hydrodynamic characteristics near marine structures, altering DIN dispersion patterns. Conclusion: This study provides crucial information for the management of pollutants at estuaries, understanding dispersion mechanisms, and evaluating the feasibility and environmental compatibility of marine engineering projects. Emile Durkheim, one of the founding figures of sociology, placed religion and morality at the center of his theoretical framework. He identified religion and morality as indispensable elements for society and undeniably emphasized their functions in society. Because according to him, the continuity and order of social life depends on the normative structure produced by religion and morality. In this context, he has something to say about living together and sustaining life as a social being, which is one of the most important problems of our age. This study aims to evaluate Durkheim's theory of religion and morality in terms of contemporary social issues and social theory. In order to achieve this goal, firstly, Durkheim's understanding of society, which allows us to comprehend his understanding of religion, will be explained and then Durkheim's main concerns about the phenomenon of religion will be explained. Finally, based on Durkheim's thoughts, a path will be presented on how to approach the macro problems of today's world. In this way, it will be proposed to recall Durkheim with a critical eye for the solution of today's social issues. In the article, which is written with the intention of questioning the meaning of classical sociologists and more specifically Emile Durkheim in terms of contemporary social theory, it will be claimed that macro theories are still functional for the solution of macro problems. However, the necessity of a critical evaluation in this functional focus will be underlined. In this sense, the study, which includes a theoretical discussion and is based on a literature review, opens up for discussion Durkheim's contributions to the solution of current problems. Adolescence is a period in which individuals face significant physical, emotional, social and cognitive changes. The fact that young people are in a positive state in areas such as emotional balance, self-confidence, identity development, social relationships and coping with stress is related to their psychological well-being. Adolescence is often a period of intense search for identity. Adolescents can search for their religious identities and understand themselves better in this process. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between psychological well-being and religiosity in a sample of adolescents from a descriptive and relational perspective. In order to achieve this goal, an introductory section on the concepts of psychological well-being and religiosity was prepared by first reviewing the literature. Then, the psychological wellbeing and religiosity scales determined for data collection were applied to 1356 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 and data were collected. The collected data were subjected to analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that adolescents' psychological well-being and religiosity averages were high. In terms of psychological well-being level, 7th grade students had the highest mean scores and 8th grade students had the lowest mean scores; in terms of religiosity level, 7th grade students had the highest mean scores and 10th, 11th and 12th grade students had the lowest mean scores. The subject of this study is to discuss the manifestations of the relationship between religion and state in today's modern Middle Eastern countries through the cases of Saudi Arabia and Iran. The aim of the study is to examine the role of religion in the social, juridical and political structure of the states in the Middle East-Islamic World through the cases of two countries. The problem that the study focuses on is to understand how religion is functionally used in the state apparatus in the modern Middle East. While the western world has entered a process of change and transformation since the 18th and 19th centuries, the Islamic World has not been able to achieve the same change and transformation in this process. Since the 20th century, it has been witnessed that the Western World has experienced a rapid leap forward and the economic, political, cultural, scientific and technical differences between them and Islamic World have increased. Especially in the last two years, the Middle Eastern-Islamic World has been facing deep crises, has not been able to develop an effective mechanism to withstand them. In the study, Saudi Arabia and Iran, two countries, one with an absolute monarchical and the other with a semi-democratic understanding of government, are analyzed. The common feature of both countries is that the religious institutions and religious scholars play an active role in state administration. At this point, the religion-state relationship in a monarchical and theocratic regime and the religion-state relationship in a democratic and theocratic regime are examined. Thus, through two different examples in the modern world, it is revealed what function religion has in the political, legal and social structure of the state in the Middle East-Islamic World. At this stage, the study primarily deals with the relationship between religion, society and modernity. Subsequently, the change in the relationship between religion and state in the modern world is discussed. Finally, the relationship between religion and state in the Middle East-Islamic World is analyzed through the cases of Saudi Arabia and Iran. The study is carried out methodologically by using document analysis, printed publications, newspaper articles, agency news and reports, which are among the qualitative research methods. In the study, it is understood that the state governments of Saudi Arabia and Iran in the Middle East-Islamic World used religion and religious identities as a means of legitimacy in political, legal or social terms. It has also been concluded that Saudi Arabia is trying to gain the identity of a modern state with its monarchical and theocratic structure, while Iran wants to create an alternative democratic and theocratic state model based on religious practices in the modern world. Deism, which emerged in the seventeenth century as a critique of Christianity and a search for a natural religion, has become one of the leading areas of interest in contemporary studies of belief systems. However, there are several fundamental questions and issues in deism research, such as who the deists were, whether a Christian could simultaneously be a deist, and whether we can speak of a single, unified form of deism throughout history. In recent years, one of the often-discussed yet under-researched aspects of deism in Turkey is the changes it has undergone in terms of belief over time and who represents it today. Deism, emerging in its period, was a philosophical attempt to purify Christianity from what was seen as irrational beliefs and to show its compatibility with a natural religion. However, particularly English deist thinkers often did not completely abandon their Christian identities. The deists rejected concepts such as revelation, prophecy, and miracles, which are central to all religions, based on their incompatibility with reason. Yet, the distancing of deists from Christian cultural discourse began with figures such as Thomas Paine, one of the first names associated with deism today. One of the leading institutional bodies representing deism today is the World Union of Deists. The purpose of this study is to understand Thomas Paine's views on religion, God, sacred texts, and life after death. The research is divided into four main sections: religion, God, prophecy, and life after death, in order to evaluate Paine's views from the perspective of kalām and to understand the changes in deism accurately. In this context, the ideas of deists are presented in accordance with the historical development of the movement. The study reveals how, with Paine, deism shifted away from its Christian emphasis and gradually became a form of religious opposition. Early deists' use of religious terms such as worship, prayer, and repentance was gradually forgotten and no longer emphasized. Moreover, the study shows that, from the early deists to the present, there has been a consistent negative stance toward revelation. In addition, it is demonstrated that deists' views on Islam, particularly in the case of Paine, are often based on assumptions and preconceived notions, with a weak intellectual foundation. Fârâbî’nin felsefe sistemi, Tanrı’nın varlığının kesin bir biçimde bilinebileceği iddiasını taşımaktadır. Buna göre, Tanrı’nın varlığı, burhânî bir bilgidir. Fârâbî, Tanrı’yı İlk Neden olarak ve İlk İlke olarak nitelemektedir. Biz çalışmamızda, Fârâbî’nin Tanrı’nın varlığını, bilgi düzeyinde (epistemolojik olarak) nasıl açıkladığı ve nasıl temellendirdiği sorusu ile ilgilendik. Fârâbî, El Medinetü’l Fazıla eserinde Tanrı’dan bir temel ilke olarak bahsetmektedir. O, İlimlerin Sayımı eserinde ise kişinin, Tanrı’nın varlığının bilgisine, diğer varlıkları nedensel bir düzen içinde bildikten sonra erişeceğini söylemektedir. Tanrı kavramının, Fârâbî tarafından hem temel ilke olarak kabul edildiği hem de temellendirildiği görülmektedir. Bu durum nasıl anlaşılmalıdır? Eğer Tanrı, İlk Neden olarak bir temel ilke ise, bu ilkenin neden temellendirilmesi gerekli görülmektedir? Tanrı’nın varlığı bir temel inanç mıdır? Eğer öyleyse, bu inancın, başka inançlara bağlı olmaması gerekmez mi? Fârâbî’nin düşünce sistemi içinde kalarak bu soruların cevaplanabileceğini düşünmekteyiz. Bu çalışmamızda, Fârâbî’nin felsefe sisteminde, Tanrı’nın varlığının bilgisine erişimin yollarını araştırdık. Dolayısıyla, Tanrı’nın varlığının Fârâbî’nin felsefe sistemindeki yeri üzerine, bütüncül bir bakış açısı ortaya koyduk. Bu bakış açısının bütüncül olduğu söylemi, Tanrı’nın varlığı ile ilgili araştırmamızda, Fârâbî’nin bütün olarak felsefe sistemini dikkate almamızla ilgilidir. Araştırmamızda, Fârâbî’nin felsefe sisteminde, Tanrı’nın varlığının kesin bilgi olduğu görüşünü açıklamayı hedefledik. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemini kullandık. Metin analizi yaparak verileri topladık, yorumladık ve sonuca ulaştık. Metin analizi yaparken analitik ve hermeneutik yöntemleri birlikte kullandık. Fârâbî’nin felsefe sisteminde, Tanrı’nın varlığının bilgisine erişimde iki yoldan söz edildiğine ulaştık. Bunlardan birinde, apriori bilgi niteliğindeki İlk Neden, ilk “mâkûlât”lardan biri olarak tanıtılır. Diğerinde ise İlk Neden’in bilgisine, varlığa dair diğer nedenleri bildikten sonra erişilir. Biz bu durumun, bahsedilen ilk ilkelerin (mâkûlât) bilinebilirlik açısından eş-değer olmamasıyla açıklanabileceğine vardık. Nitekim Fârâbî ilk ilkelerin bazılarının kolayca herkes tarafından bilindiğini, bazılarınınsa belirli bir çaba ve düşünme sonucu bilindiğini ifade etmektedir. Sonuçta, biz, Fârâbî’nin felsefesinde, Tanrı’nın, bir ilk ilke olarak insanın zihninde en başından beri bulunsa da bu ilkenin çok açık olmadığını tespit ettik. Bu ilkenin kavranması, çaba ve düşünme gerektirir. Ayrıca, bu yaklaşımımız, Tanrı’nın ilk ilkelerden biri olarak insan zihninde olmasına rağmen, neden herkesin Tanrı inancına sahip olmadığı sorusuna da Fârâbî’nin felsefe sistemi içinde bir yanıt oluşturabilmektedir. * Bu çalışma Prof. Dr. Bayram DALKILIÇ danışmanlığında 2020 tarihinde tamamladığımız Fârâbî Metafiziğinde Tanrı Hakkında Bilgi Üzerine Bir Araştırma başlıklı doktora semineri esas alınarak hazırlanmıştır (Doktora Semineri, Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi, Konya, Türkiye, 2020).

Felsefe-din ilişkisi hem İslam düşüncesinde hem de çağdaş Batı düşüncesinde önemli bir tartışma konusu olarak yer almaktadır. Bu makale felsefe-din ilişkisinin başlangıç noktası olan klasik Yunan düşüncesinde Homeros’tan Aristoteles’e kadar geleneksel ve felsefî din konusuna odaklanmaktadır. Bu bakımdan antik Yunan düşüncesinin -en azından yazılı ve teorik- felsefî faaliyetin başlangıç noktası olması sebebiyle felsefe-din ilişkisinin sıfır noktası olarak kabul edilebilir. İslam düşüncesinde felâsifenin hemen tamamı metinlerinde felsefe-din ilişkisine yer vermiştir. Fakat Fârâbî ve İbn Sînâ felsefe açısından dinin durumuna yönelik bir açıklama yaparken, İbn Rüşd din açısından felsefenin durumunu incelemeyi esas almıştır. Bu noktada felsefe-din ilişkisinin, biri “felsefe açısından din”, diğeri “din açısından felsefe” şeklinde iki yönünden bahsedilebilir. Her ne kadar İslam düşüncesinde bu ilişkinin iki yönünden de meseleye bakılsa da genel olarak bütün İslam filozofları meseleye, yöntemleri farklı fakat amaçları bir olan iki olgu olarak bakmışlardır. Buna karşılık çağdaş Batı düşüncesinde ise özellikle 19. yüzyıl düşünürlerinin büyük çoğunluğu evrimci bir perspektiften yola çıkarak meseleye büyük oranda, aklın ve düşüncenin eşlik etmediği inanç alanı olarak din ile akıl ve düşünceyle insanın ulaştığı gelişmiş seviye olarak felsefe şeklinde birbirine zıt unsurlar olarak bakmaktadır. Bu nedenle meselenin sıfır noktası olan Antik Yunan’da dinin, filozofların düşüncesinde ya da inanç sistemindeki yeri hem İslam düşüncesi hem de modern Batı düşüncesi için önemlidir. Makalede Antik Yunan düşünürlerinin dine dair görüşleri; tanrı, tanrı-insan ilişkisi, insanın tanrıya/tanrılara karşı sorumlulukları, öte dünya inançları vb. tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır.

Zorlu yaşam olayları insanı bilişsel, duygusal ve davranışsal olarak etkileyen travmatik olaylardır. Bu tür yaşantıları tecrübe etmiş bireylerin psikolojik tepkilerini anlamın yollarından biri bu insanların dünya ile ilgili temel varsayımlarını ve bu olayların varsayımları üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Travmatik yaşantılara sahip mağdurlar üzerinde yapılan araştırmalar, insanların genellikle sorgulanmayan varsayımlara sahip olduğu ve bunlara göre düşünce ve davranışlarını şekillendirdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Travmatik olaylar, bireylerin sahip olduğu bu varsayımların sarsılmasına neden olduğu gibi bu inançların doğasını ortaya çıkaracak özelliklere sahiptir. ‘Parçalanmış Varsayımlar Modeli’ insanların temel inançlarını açıklamaya yönelik kuramsal bir çerçeve sunmaya çalışmıştır. Bu modele göre insanlar ‘dünyanın iyiliği’, ‘dünyanın anlamlılığı’ ve ‘kendilik değeri’ olarak temelde üç ana varsayıma sahiptirler. Bu üç temel varsayımın dayandığı inançlar, bir bütün olarak ele alındığında bireyin dünyaya ilişkin varsayımlarıyla ilgili kavramsal modelde toplamda sekiz ilke görülmektedir. Bunlar; dünyanın iyiliği, insanların iyiliği, adalet, kontrol edebilirlik, rastlantısallık, kendilik değeri, kendilik kontrolü ve şanstır. İnsanların bu inançları, yaşamlarındaki ekstrem olayları tahmin etmede onlara yardımcı olacak ve karar almalarına destek olacak bilişsel çerçeve işlevine sahiptirler. Zorlu yaşam olayları, bireyleri örseleyici, stresli ve sıkıntı verici duygusal durumlardır. Bu deneyimlerin hem psikolojik hem de fiziksel sağlık üzerinde güçlü etkileri vardır; en yaygın sonuçları ise travma sonrası stres bozukluğu ve depresyondur. Burada en belirgin ruhsal durumu anlamsızlıktır. Çünkü bireyler; kendilerini, anlamsız bir dünyada başlarına gelenlerden dolayı çaresiz ve yalnız hissetmektedirler. Dünya artık eskisi gibi anlamlı olmamakta ve bundan sonra yaşanacaklar ile ilgili kontrolün kendilerinde olmadığını düşünmektedirler. Bireylerin, yaşadığı acıları iyileştirmesi ve bu zor durumdan kurtulabilmesi, kendi iç dünyasını yeniden inşâ etmesi ile mümkündür. Eski varsayımlar, hayatın art niyetli ve anlamsız olduğu sonucunu doğurmuş olduğu için yaşama kaygı ve endişe hâkim olmuştur. Travma ile zorlu bir dönem geçiren bireyler, kendisini yanıltan, ölümlü ve savunmasız olduğu gerçeğini ile karşı karşıya kalmasına ve hayatın anlamsız olduğu sonucunu doğurmasına neden olan eski varsayımlarını değiştirmesiyle önceki yaşantılarına dönmesi kolaylaşacaktır. Yeni varsayımlar travmatik durumlarla başa çıkmanın temel yollarından biridir. Yeni varsayımlar oluşturmada dinin anlamlandırmaları, bireyler için önemli bir kaynaktır. Din, zorlu yaşam olaylarında en çok bilişsel boyutta işlev görerek yeni anlamlandırma ve bakış açısı getirmektedir. Din, çoğu zaman insan için gerçekliğin algılandığı birer şema işlevine sahip olabilmektedir. Din, insanların yaşadıkları acı ve ıstırapların amaçsız ve anlamsız olmadığını; ilahi bir plan çerçevesinde gerçekleştiğini ifade etmektedir. Yaşananları inkâr etmek ve onlardan kaçmak yerine, dinin sunduğu anlam çerçevesinde yaşanan acılar, manevi gelişim için bir fırsatı olarak görülebilir. Çalışmanın amacı zorlu yaşam olaylarının bireyler tarafından nasıl anlamlandırıldığını inceleyerek dinin, anlamlandırmada rolünü ortaya koymaktır. Din ve manevi değerler bireylerin acılı durumlarla başaçıkmasında yeni varsayımlar sunabilmektedir. Bu kapsamda ilk olarak zorlu yaşam olaylarının insanlar üzerindeki etkileri ele alınmıştır. İkinci olarak dünyaya ilişkin temel varsayımlar Parçalanmış Varsayımlar Modeli çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Son olarak zorlu yaşam olaylarında dini perspektiften geliştirilen dünyaya ilişkin varsayımlar ve bu varsayımların psikolojik iyileşmeye katkıları ele alınmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenolojik yöntemin kullanıldığı araştırmada mevcut literatür gözden geçirilerek dünya varsayımlarının şekillenmesinde din ve maneviyatın rolü ile ilgili olarak teorik bir çerçeve oluşturulmak istenmiştir. Çalışmanın travmatik yaşantılara sahip bireylerin varsayımlarının anlaşılmasında ve yeni varsayımlar geliştirerek iyileşme sürecine katkıda bulunmasında etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir.

A narrow definition of Islamophobia flags religion as playing the central part in anti-Muslim prejudice. But a broader term bundles ethnic, national and cultural prejudices together with religious ones; the latter are gradually becoming disconnected from the cultures in which they were embedded. In measuring degrees and levels of Islamophobia, this article turns to the mass media to understand how they have amplified and at times echoed calls for anti-Muslim prejudice. Islam has become culturalized and racialized by both adherents and antagonists alike, lending a massive landscape for social media in particular to exploit. Qualitative data seem best equipped to assay popular attitudes and behavior towards Muslims. And their relevance is especially significant in shaping female Muslim experiences. To be sure, Islam is placed to take a key part in the making of a post-hegemonic international order. Highlighting tolerance towards others is critical rather than using other attributes to shore up the political legitimacy of a state. To categorize Islamophobes as racists makes for bad politics, but it can enhance legitimacy.

21. yüzyılın bilim dünyasında “medya çalışmaları”, dijitalleşme ve ağ tabanlı teknolojilerin günlük hayattaki etkinliği sebebiyle toplum ve kültürle ilgilenenler için yadsınamayacak bir hâl almıştır. Bu alandaki sosyal çalışmaların ve araştırmacıların sayısı da gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. İşte tanıtımını yapacağımız Mehmet Haberli’nin Medyatikleşme ve Din adlı kitabı (2023) da bu kritik konuyu ele almakta, yaşanan değişimleri medyatikleşme bağlamında meta-analiz yöntemi ile açımlamaktadır. Doç. Dr. Haberli, gelişen medya kültürü konusunda sosyolojik ve iletişimsel tahayyüle sahip ve Türk akademisinde medyanın din bağlamında incelenmesine öncülük etmiş bir araştırmacıdır. Özellikle Sanal Din isimli kitap çalışması (2014), medyanın din sosyolojisi literatüründe yeni bir kulvar açtığı yıllarda özgün bir çalışma niteliğindedir. Yazarın ayrıca sanal cemaatler, dijital çağda dindarlığın dönüşümü ve dijital din araştırmaları konularındaki çalışmaları dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmaları ile “teorik anlamda” yeni medyanın dinle ilişkisine Türkiye’de ilk değinen sosyolog olduğu söylenebilir. İnceleyeceğimiz kitabı da yazarın bugüne kadarki bilgi birikiminin bir hülasası olarak değerlendirmek yerinde olacaktır.

Tanrı-insan ilişkisi, düşünce tarihinin en önemli sorunları arasında yer almaktadır. Tanrıyla ilişkisini hangi din üzerinden kuruyor olursa olsun, herhangi bir dindarın İlahî olanla karşılaşması ve onu fevkalade bir şekilde yaşaması olarak anlaşılabilecek olan dini tecrübenin imkânı ayrı bir tartışma konusu olsa da dinî tecrübe kavramına yüklenen anlamlar sübjektif öz barındırdığı için kişiden kişiye değişebilecek kadar çeşitlilik arz etmektedir. Bu incelemedeki amaç, insanın varoluşundan beri, dinî inancın temel dayanak olduğu dinî tecrübenin tanımı konusunda ileri sürülen görüşleri tanıtarak bir değerlendirme yapmaktır. Esasen “Dinî tecrübenin imkânı” probleminden ayrı bir şekilde ele alınamayacak olan tanım konusunda “imkân” probleminin dışarıda tutulması konuyu makale sınırlarında tutma amacına matuftur. Dinî tecrübe tartışmalarındaki önemli bir sorun dinî tecrübenin tanımı olduğu gibi diğer bir tartışma konusu ise kişisel dinî tecrübelerin Tanrı’ya inanmak için yeterli neden sağlayıp sağlamadığı konusudur. Dinî tecrübenin çeşitliliği ise, düşünürleri meşgul eden diğer bir husus olarak konuyla ilgilenen öncü isimlerden W. James’e dinî tecrübeye hasrettiği eseriyle haklı bir ün kazandırmıştır. Teolojik sorgulamadaki tecrübenin durumu ve teolojik sistemlerdeki işlevi teologların konuyla yoğun bir şekilde ilgilendiği alanlar olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Dinî tecrübe üzerine yapılan son tartışmaların odak noktası ise tüm kültürlerin temelinde aynı evrensel bir dinî tecrübe olup olmadığı üzerinedir. Perenniyalistler bu tür evrensel bir dinî tecrübenin varlığını ve tüm dinî tecrübelerin birliğini savunurken, bu görüş, temelde dinî tecrübenin empirik olduğunu ve bu tecrübenin “tanıma yoluyla bilgi”yi içerdiğini ileri sürmektedir. Onlara göre dinî tecrübenin nesnelliğini gösteren şey, duyu tecrübesinde olduğu gibi, tecrübe sahiplerinin tecrübe ettikleri şey konusundaki uzlaşımıdır. Bağlamsalcılar ise, evrensel öz temasını olumsuzlarken, tecrübenin saf ve evrensel bir öze sahip olmasının mümkün olmadığını ileri sürmektedir. Dinî tecrübenin nesnel bilgi sunmasının mümkün olmadığını iddia edenler dinî tecrübenin kişisel olmasını ve başkasına aktarılamamasını kanıt olarak öne sürmektedirler.

Bu çalışma, delilik olgusunu konu edinmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, delilerin bazı mekânlarda daha fazla görünür olmasının temel sebeplerini açığa çıkarmaktır. Konya Bedesten çarşısında yer alan Kapu Camii ve Aziziye Camilerinin etrafından neredeyse hiç ayrılmayan deliler vardır. Onların bu mekâna neden bu kadar sık geldikleri araştırma sorusunu oluşturmuştur. Söz konusu soruya dayalı olarak daha önce herhangi bir bilimsel çalışma yapılmamıştır. Bu durum araştırmanın özgün tarafı olarak sunulabilir. Araştırma delilik fenomeninin temelde kültürel bir inşa olduğunu; zamana, mekâna ve bağlama göre farklılık arz ettiğini iddia etmektedir. Nitekim bu araştırmanın yapıldığı mekânlarda delilik olgusuna atfedilen anlamların sosyal, kültürel ve dini değerlerden bağımsız olmadığı görülmüştür. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemine uygun bir şekilde tasarlanmıştır ve araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama tekniği mülakattır. Mülakatlar, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Kapu Camii ve Aziziye Camilerinin etrafında bulunan esnaflar arasından seçilmiştir. Bu noktada, toplamda 20 esnafla derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılardan elde edilen veriler, iki ana tema ve 9 alt tema altında kodlanmış ve içerik analizi tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak delilerin Kapu ve Aziziye Camilerinin etrafında çok sık bulunmasını, esnafın onlara karşı geliştirdiği olumlu davranışlarla açıklamak mümkündür. Esnafın delilere ilişkin tutumunu belirleyen temel motivasyonların daha çok dini ve kültürel değerler olduğu saptanmıştır.

During the early years of the Turkish Republic, religious education experienced a period of stagnation, and the study of Ḥadīth during this period was limited and focused mainly on translation and explanation. The situation persisted until the opening of the Higher Islamic Institute in Ankara in 1949, and the intensification of academic studies in the field of Ḥadīth within the Faculty of Divinity began in 1957. The study revealed that the number of doctoral theses on Ḥadīth and its sciences conducted in Turkish universities between 1997 and 2024 reached 347 theses. The year 2017 was the most productive year, with 25 studies, and Ankara University was the university that contributed the most in this field, with 76 doctoral theses. This research deals with doctoral theses in Hadith and its sciences in Türkiye between the years 1997- 2024 in two sections. In the first section, it touched on the development of modern classifications in the Turkish Republic in general, and in the second section, the dissertations were distributed according to number, universities, and topics, with analyzes related to the content of the studies. This study deals with new religious and spiritual searches that emerge in the face of uncertainty, speed of change, stress and anxiety experienced by individuals in the dynamics of today’s society and how these searches are associated with the happiness industry. The main claim of this study is that spiritual movements have become commercialized in the performance society and have become a part of fun morality and the happiness industry. The rapid change and transformation experienced with modernization creates various problems that individuals have difficulty in coping within their inner world. Especially with the secularization debates, efforts to purify today’s world from religion push individuals to different searches. For this purpose, in the face of uncertainty and change, individuals try to reach inner peace and satisfaction by turning to new religious and spiritual searches. Personal development, spirituality and the happiness industry are closely related to individuals’ quest to improve the quality of their lives and the goal of inner fulfilment, and they enable the growth and spread of the happiness industry. The happiness industry is marketed with promises such as adding meaning and purpose to individuals’ lives, reducing stress and anxiety, increasing self-awareness and providing spiritual fulfilment, and attracts the attention of individuals living in the uncertainty and competition of modern society. In this context, the article aims to evaluate in detail the efforts of the happiness industry to provide individuals with performance-oriented inner peace and fulfilment. Using basic theories such as performance society, happiness industry and fun morality, these efforts will be analyzed comprehensively within a theoretical framework. The performance society theory argues that individuals today live in a culture that focuses on their social and economic achievements and emphasizes that individuals are under constant pressure to achieve success and perfection. In this context, understanding how the happiness industry strives to provide individuals with inner peace and satisfaction beyond performance will provide an important analysis from the perspective of performance society theory. The happiness industry is also linked to the fun morality that is widely adopted today. Fun morality refers to an approach in which individuals are in a constant search to make their lives more enjoyable. How the happiness industry positions the products and services offered to individuals within the framework of fun morality and how they add meaning to individuals’ lives is an issue that needs to be addressed from a broader theoretical perspective. In this context, the potential risks of the industry and its possible negative effects on individuals will be analyzed through the theories of performance society and fun morality. In the literature, there is a lack of studies that examine the relationship between the happiness industry, fun morality and spiritual movements. This study aims to fill the gap in the literature in terms of addressing the relationship between these fields, to understand whether the happiness industry can help individuals discover their inner potential, and at the same time to understand the factors that lead individuals to ignore their inner values and keep them under performance pressure. The study is based on a comprehensive data collection and analysis process with a qualitative approach to understand how individuals respond to the challenges of modern life and the role of the happiness industry in this process. At the end of the study, in which literature review and critical readings are prominent, it is concluded that the happiness industry turns individuals into consumer objects by using spiritual pursuits, the individual feels obliged to perform daily performances based on fun morality, inability to access spiritual tools deepens social inequality and not being happy is seen as a crime. The Hussite crusades are characterized as religious in nature in terms of the volume and content of military activities in Bohemia. The initiators, participants and advocates of these activities impart the aforementioned religious nature. Following Huss’s complaint at Constance in 1415, the religious reform movement that began in the Czech-speaking lands of Bohemia identified with a well-defined political community that defined itself in national terms. When Sigismund of Luxembourg decided to impose his will on Bohemia by force in 1420, a broad coalition of reformist factions decided to use military force to defend what they interpreted as the “Law of God” (lex Dei). Sigismund’s infamous invasion was proclaimed as a crusade through the Papacy. The coalition is likely to perceive this defense as a religious war. But the elected emperor’s agreement that this should take the form of a crusade was undoubtedly to sharpen his opponents’ sense of the sacred character of the conflict. Except for the Crusades, there is no example of such a sustained and organized defense of religious doctrines against attack in the Middle Ages, and nothing similar until the Reformation. In the Hussite Crusades, a group of people waging a religious war faced another group of similar views: those who wore the cross fought those who defended the nondescript chalice. Our study aims to deal with the Hussite-centered Reform movements in the Bohemian lands and the military expeditions as a result. Religion has been avoided in the discipline of international relations and in practical politics for many years. The rationalist and positivist inclinations in the social sciences is one reason. The other is the governments' preference to see it as an issue of internal affairs in the international system composed by sovereign nation-states and the negative associations with religion as a result of historical experiences. American leadership in both academia and global politics contributed to the neglect of religion in international relations due to the historical and political features of this country. The exile status of religion came to an end with the September 11 attacks; yet, the security-centered approach dominated the religion-focused analysis in global politics. This article will first discuss how religion can be integrated into the mainstream theories of international relations such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories. And then will historically analyze the effect of religion on international relations with respect to these theoretical approaches. The main hypothesis of the study is that religion plays various roles that makes it difficult to reduce religion to one dimension and its negligence would result in a deficiency when explaining and understanding global politics. IntroductionThe rapid advances in marine engineering projects are exacerbating environmental pressures on bay ecosystems. This study utilized the MIKE 21 model to evaluate the impacts of such projects in Laizhou Bay (LZB) on hydrodynamic conditions and the spread of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) from riverine inputs.ResultsThe results indicated an expansion of 80.77 km2 in areas with DIN concentrations surpassing 0.5 mg/L 2 months after input from the Yellow River, with increased levels in the southern Yellow River Delta. Decreased flow velocities adjacent to the wave barriers at the Xiaoqing River estuary impeded lateral DIN dispersion, resulting in a 0.93 mg/L increase in DIN concentrations at the river mouth. After the construction of marine engineering projects (2020), significant alterations in the coastline of LZB have markedly modified hydrodynamic characteristics near marine structures, altering DIN dispersion patterns.ConclusionThis study provides crucial information for the management of pollutants at estuaries, understanding dispersion mechanisms, and evaluating the feasibility and environmental compatibility of marine engineering projects.
